another gross act of immorality

Government resources, those resources of taxpayers, of the agencies, boards and commissions of the government are not to be used for political fundraising. That practice is wrong, it is totally unacceptable, it is totally inappropriate and that has been communicated in no uncertain terms,” Transport Minister John Baird, but who in realty  actually ENFORCES it now? The Conservative federal government clearly also has a double standard when it comes to holding their own, cabinet ministers included, accountable for breaking the rules.

OTTAWA–Natural Resources Minister Lisa Raitt was under fire Thursday in the House of Commons in light of a Star story about a political fundraiser for her that was organized out of the Toronto Port Authority, a federal agency she once ran. Critics called for an investigation by ethics commissioner Mary Dawson over whether Raitt breached the rules when the Sept. 24 $250-a-head Toronto fundraiser was run out of the office of the president of the port authority. New Democrat MP Olivia Chow (Trinity-Spadina) said: “I’m sure you will agree that this story raised real concerns about the conduct of the minister involved as well as the impartiality of the TPA’s board, management and staff.” Janet MacDonald, executive assistant to acting president Alan Paul, sent an invitation to the fundraiser on port authority email. MacDonald was formerly Raitt’s assistant at the agency. Registered lobbyist Michael Sweeney, vice-president industry affairs of the Cement Association of Canada, was also involved in helping organizing the event. His association lobbied the government eight times from March to August, including Raitt and Prime Minister Stephen Harper. “This is a severe breach of ethics by Minister Raitt,” Liberal MP Paul Szabo, chair of the parliamentary ethics committee also said .

OTTAWA — The Conservative government now is flatly denying any involvement in a new Olympic apparel logo that bears an uncanny resemblance to the party’s own moniker. Liberal MP Hedy Fry had suggested Thursday that “crass politics” was behind the striking similarity to the governing party, calling it “embarrassing” in the House of Commons. “Canada’s Olympic Games belong to all Canadians. While it is clear that the Conservative government’s multi-million dollar infrastructure campaign is crassly partisan, can the Prime Minister at least stop trying to politicize the Canadian Winter Olympics?” she had fumed. NDP MP Charlie Angus also weighed in, accusing PM Stephen Harper of peddling political logos “on the backs of our athletes.” Now it does bear a resemblance the Conservative party logo, and there is “No such thing as a coincidence”. You can’t though trust any Conservaves to tell the truth here too.

Ontario’s Auditor General Jim McCarter will release a report next week on his investigation into the untendered contracts and expense abuses at eHealth Ontario.  At issue is a $30 million untendered contract given to IBM for a new computer system at eHealth Ontario that was approved by a   committee of the Liberal cabinet. Even the Ontario Liberals clearly do not want to see any cabinet ministers held accountable for breaking the rules. “The government was ready to turn a blind eye to some of these breaches of policies and procedures and they only say they’re sorry when they are found out and then the change the policies,” “They just don’t care about the use of taxpayers’ money.”

Ontario health minister resigns ahead of report on eHealth spending abusesTORONTO – Ontario’s health minister bowed to months of opposition pressure and tendered his resignation Tuesday on the eve of a report into how the province spent $1 billion over 10 years to create electronic health records.

Quebec trust fund boss Vincent Lacroix sentenced to 13 years in prison MONTREAL – Ex-Norbourg boss Vincent Lacroix was sentenced to 13 years in prison on Friday for bilking clients out of more than $100 million.

“The Alberta premier Stelmach is talking about fiscal restraint and telling others to tighten their belts, but it doesn’t apply to select people in his government. … How can you tell seniors to pay more for prescriptions, force Albertans to wait longer for health care and claw back money from school boards and allow these bonuses to be paid out? “The provincial government paid out nearly $44 million in controversial “achievement bonuses” earlier this year, with Alberta Justice, Service Alberta and Employment and Immigration leading the way. Justice handed out more than $6.7 million in bonuses to civil servants, a figure equal to roughly 1.2 per cent of its total expenses for 2008-9. Service Alberta was second, doling out $2.8 million in bonuses, followed by Employment and Immigration with $2.6 million. The provincial Executive Council gave out $1.4 million and the Treasury Board handed out $2.1 million –amounts equal to about five per cent of their total annual expenses. On average, departments gave out $1.9 million, equal to about 0.7 per cent of their total expenses for the year. Bonuses went to roughly 6,000 civil servants and ranged from zero to 30 per cent of each recipient’s salary. “Taxpayers must be astonished that in this difficult time the government still sees fit to continue with this lavish bonus program,” Liberal finance critic Hugh MacDonald. Alberta Justice spokesman David Dear said  “We are the second-largest department in government with over 3,000 people–the only one larger is the Solicitor General–and perhaps more importantly, a very large percentage of our staff are lawyers,  .” “It’s easy to understand the reaction that some people might have when they look at the number. It is worth noting (that) … every time a rapist is sent to jail, or a drunk driver is sent to prison is because of a lot of hard work by prosecutors and support staff,” he said. The department of the Solicitor General and Public Security gave out $2 million in bonuses, an amount equal to 0.1 per cent of its annual expenses. It is not the rapists, drunk drivers that mostly  fill the courts calendars, docks it is mostly the revenue generating traffic tickets..

EDMONTON – Senior executives of now-dismantled Alberta health boards collected excessive salaries, pensions and bonuses with little oversight, provincial auditor general Fred Dunn said in a report Friday. Thirty executives shared $18 million in severance,, the auditor’s report suggests widespread incompetence within Alberta’s Tory government. “This is another example of pork-barrelling, handing out payments and perks to friends of the Tories,” A former deputy minister who helped create Alberta Health Services, then ran part of it for nine months, walked away from the cash-strapped department with a $257,500 bonus as part of her severance package. The severance deal for Paddy Meade, whose position with Alberta Health Services ended after about nine months, included two years’ worth of salary (about $1 million), and a $257,500 bonus, the maximum amount possible in her contract. “Taxpayers should be outraged,”

WE HAVE CONTINUAL NEWS REVELATIONS OF CORRUPTIONS, TAX PAYER’S MONEY ABUSES BY ONTARIO GOVERNMENT WORKERS, FEDERAL WORKERS, CITY OF TORONTO WORKERS, CITY OF MONTREAL WORKERS, CLERGY, TEACHERS, OTHERS AND THE POLICE AS WELL.

Justice – Crooks, liars, thieves, abusers, slanderers, now I have often wondered how, even how some relatives of mine now too, had become so crooked.. some people say it is in the gene, sin is hereditary, everyone has got this gene.. but I am more convinced more than ever it is mainly a personal choice.. no one basically forced them to do something they basically did not want to do, and often their main motive was the love of money, trying to get rich at any costs.. and that is why we continue to see corruptions in the governments even by too many of the civil and public servants. All it takes for evil to prosper is for the good people to do nothing about it, to take an ostrich approach.

Corruptions, it goes beyond that to a practice that has been common place.. even because the supervisors themselves are likely corrupt

Starting rightfully first at the top public exposure and prosecution of the unrepentant guilty persons serves everyone best interest.. but also taking away the rewards received by the immoral acts, restitution included. But taking all the criminal proceeds and giving it to the police is mainly another gross act of immorality too.

A relative of mine did not start to be a big criminal, he started small by lying, stealing on his expense account. This seems to be the starting point of of many of our civil and public servants now as well and is a real good reasons why the expense accounts need to be monitored as well.. he next went on to major tax evasion now as well, handing out bribes, unfair and restrictive trade business practices too,  and went next into much more corruptions too, lies, abuses, cover-ups..

Bad persons, bad clergy, bad  pastors, bad elders, bad cops, bad politicians  continue to exist  cause likely their supporters are  bad too.  (Jer 5:31 KJV)  The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Former N.S. bishop charged with possession of child porn.  Raymond Lahey, the former bishop of the diocese of Antigonish, is known as the man who oversaw a $15-million settlement with people who said they had been sexually abused by priests in the diocese dating back to 1950. He was arrested at the Ottawa Airport last week after members of the Canada Border Services Agency performed a random check of his laptop computer. Lahey has been charged with distributing and selling child pornography.  On Saturday, Lahey, 69, announced his resignation as bishop of the Antigonish diocese. In a letter to parishioners, he said he needed time for “personal renewal.” http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia/story/2009/09/30/ns-bishop-charged.html    Roman Catholic bishop  Raymond Lahey computer was seized in September at the Ottawa airport after the former priest got off a flight from Britain. The images recovered from the laptop allegedly include lewd sexual pictures of children. A warrant for Lahey’s arrest had been issued by Ottawa police. He was in Ottawa court, where  the justice of the peace  granted his release on $9,000 cash bail and imposed several strict conditions. Under his conditions, Lahey may not possess pornographic material and may not possess or use a computer or any device that can access the Internet, such as cellphones with browsing capabilities. He is barred from Internet cafés or anywhere that Internet services can be obtained for a fee or free of charge.Lahey is prohibited from using or possessing a web cam or external hard drive, and may not use any online chat lines, including MSN and Twitter, or file transferring services and e-mail. He cannot possess any software that would allow data to be hidden or erased, or any items that can store digital media, such as thumb drives.Lahey was ordered not to attend any public park, library or place that may be frequented by people under age 18. He must not be alone with anyone younger than 18 unless the young person’s parent is present. http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Images+focus+investigation/2055707/story.html

Former N.L. politician Wally Andersen gets 15 months for expenses fraud ST. JOHN’S – A former Newfoundland politician has been sentenced to 15 months in jail for his role in the province’s legislature expenses scandal. Is that all? Wally Andersen has admitted to forging $59,000 in expense claims and filing excess claims for another $30,000 while he was Liberal member for Torngat Mountains. Is that all he got now too?

Toronto man charged in connection with online child-porn ring Globe and Mail –   A 28-year-old Toronto man convicted four years ago of possessing child pornography is back before the courts again on similar charges, this time in connection with what police describe as an international online child-porn exchange ring.

Bishop says church, police may have failed man who alleged priest had porn  HALIFAX, N.S. – The archbishop of St. John’s says police and the Roman Catholic Church may have failed a Newfoundland man who alleged two decades ago that he found pornographic images of children in the house of a priest who later became a bishop and now faces child pornography charges in Ottawa.

A Peruvian court has sentenced former President Alberto Fujimori to six years in prison after he pleaded guilty to authorizing wiretaps and bribes to politicians, journalists and businessmen. “ And just think, all our ex-prime ministers – Mulroney, Chretien, etc. – are all still runing around scott free! No such thing as justice in Canada– at least, not as far as our politicians are concerned. Polls clearly indicate that half of those birds should be in jail and the other half deported to Bangladesh on the eve of its next cyclone ”   http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2009/09/30/peru-fujimori-bribe-wiretap-sentence.html

Lying, thieving, alcoholic, abusive persons,  priests, pastors, Ministers who cannot even change themselves for the good are of no use to anyone as well. I do not have to accept any of those lying hypocrites who say to me you cannot judge me for I am a good person .. dream on.. I can. Clearly to me a preacher. Minister  whose lifestyle does not match his preaching words to others he rightfully cannot be trusted at all.. he is a false preacher himself.. some how most of them now wrongfully are like that too. Wrongful inactions, Cover ups, False denial of bad politicians, bad cops, bad persons, false pastors, false priests are much too common but nevertheless they do get exposed, revealed to all as to what they are often now like  too, and get what they deserve, and not the first or last time.

Former customs agent found guilty of taking bribes from drug smugglers Wed Sep 30, MONTREAL – A former customs agent at Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport has been found guilty of taking bribes from a drug-smuggling ring.

Workplace Safety and Insurance Board spent tax dollars in a lavish style. WSIB chair Steven Mahoney alleged to have billed $140,000 in expenses . “The position of WSIB chair is supposed to be a part-time position with a per diem of $550 per day,”  “Mahoney has somehow managed to bill the taxpayer for $141,328.79 in 2008. Based on the WSIB per diem — this means that the ‘part-time’ WSIB chair collected 257 per diems — more per diems, in fact, than there are working days in the year.” ”another example of the rot in the [Premier Dalton] McGuinty [Liberal] government.” ”[He filed expenses for ] Meals where he had no meetings, and travel to China, Australia, Hong Kong and elsewhere. He travelled so much, he got lost in Myrtle Beach, where he billed four days for one day of meetings, and then expensed a GPS system,”  This is disgusting.   Another day, another political scandal. I wish that all levels of government were more accountable to the public that elects them and is forced to put trust in them.  Everytime I read one of these stories, the anger inside me swells;knowing that my taxes and expenses keep increasing while these irresponsible public servants take advantage of their position. Legal Robbery! Enough is ENOUGH! Criminal charges should be laid!    http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2009/10/01/wsib-expenses.html

Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty still serves as a rightful deterrent example to all and is still one of the best approaches on how to deal with the evil persons. Even the Bible records openly the unrepentant sins of many persons and their real  negative consequences.

FOR WE ALL TEND TO KNOW THAT THEY THE CROOKS, ABUSERS TOO,  NOW ARE NOT ABOUT TO STOP THEIR WRONG DOINGS. RATHER THEY WILL NEXT EVEN ESCALATE, CONTINUE IN THEM. AND THAT IS ANOTHER VALID REASON  THEY DO NEED TO BE EXPOSED, PROSECUTED AND STOPPED. EVEN FOR THE GOOD OF US ALL.

And once exposed most people do not accept, support  a crook, even if it is a Minister now too.

Most people still rightfully do blame the governments, politicians, bad cops and bad judges, for the existence of much too many crooked civil and public servants, crooked business persons, crooked persons in Canada.  More Laws that are unenforced also tend to be still mostly useless too. Let’s simply just agree the whole system is often corrupt, eh?

We need better Policing and “Tougher penalties for sure!” You will get a longer jail sentence for robbing a convenience store of $50 than fleecing consumers,  investors for millions (billions) or stealing any of the tax payer’s money.    Put all of the criminals in jail, and their bad supervisors now too,  where they belong, and always do  take way from them all that they have stolen now as well..  Restitution of all items stolen should be in the criminal sentencing now as well..  Until people start getting fired and criminal charges are laid, the bad acts of theirs will continue. And do amend the criminal code to include a mandatory 5 year minimum jail sentence and a fine not less than 10 times the money involved, for breach of public trust. This amendment would cover all forms of corruption from conflict of interest to false accounting. By the time the first dozen or so of these crooks have been banged up – the rest won’t find a bad public office so attractive once they know they can’t abuse,  fleece the citizens, consumers, taxpayer.

David Letterman admits to affairs with employees – “Sinning with Bathsheba”.. Now if he Letterman was a politician that would be something else.. “It may seem a bit apples-and-oranges to compare Letterman with politicians, who are vulnerable because there is a moral high ground inherent in their position as government officials, particularly if they are conservatives who have espoused family values but now if Letterman again  goes after others who have sinned when we know the same of him, his humor will smack of hypocrisy. David Letterman affair is no joke for the talk show host’s revelation that he had relationships with female employees has already sparked many  impassioned discussion about his hypocrisy and sex in the workplace. After years of mocking other public figures for their sexual indiscretions, Letterman, 62, is facing scrutiny for behavior that is verboten in many workplaces. Many observers were taken aback by the casual tone Letterman used to describe his sexual relationships with female employees. Letterman  did not express any contrition for cheating on his wife, Regina Lasko, whom he dated for 23 years before their marriage in March.  He was married earlier this year to his long-term partner and is father to six-year-old Harry; Conservative critics, in particular, expressed disgust with the comedian, whose frequent potshots at former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin — including a crude joke he made in June about her daughter — have infuriated many on the right. ” He seemed ignorant of the issue of sexual harassment. These women worked for him.” Nor too concerned as to how many others now will ridicule him in reality  and the negative effect it will have also on him.. Still, one false move now still risks even more personal ruin. Letterman’s extended run-in with Sarah Palin over the summer over some ill-conceived japes at her daughter’s expense indicated he can be a bit tone deaf as to how he is being perceived. “  Nevertheless he Letterman  now faces being scorned by others for a bad reputation…     If you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Certainly that adage has proved true for the beleaguered talkshow host David Letterman this weekend as he faced a barrage of mockery from his acid-tongued rivals. The sharp-witted late-night TV star, who regularly skewers the foibles of other celebrities, found himself on the end of the same treatment after being at the centre of a bizarre blackmail plot over the sexual affairs he had with younger female staff members.  The ribbing and jibing will be a bitter experience for Letterman. Though he announced the news of his affairs and the blackmail plot on his own show – and has joked about it himself – the news has stunned America.  Now he finds himself at the centre of a media storm that  has made him the butt of water-cooler jokes and gossip across the nation. What a bad reputation to live down too. Too many will see the latest episode as some sort of karmic revenge for Letterman’s often merciless take on the moral lapses of others.http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/oct/04/david-letterman-affairs-blackmail-jokes

Toronto teacher faces child-sex charges CBC.ca –  A Grade 10 teacher at Toronto’s Jarvis Collegiate high school has been charged with trying to allegedly  initiate sexual contact with two teenaged boys. David Dewees, 32, was arrested and charged Thursday with two counts of invitation to sexual touching, as well as two counts of luring, Toronto police said. Dewees is accused of making “inappropriate contact” with the boys online. Dewees is alleged to have committed those offences at the Ontario Pioneer Camp in Port Sydney, Ont., between July 2008 and July 2009. He’s been a volunteer counsellor at the Christian camp since 1997. David Dewees  the high school teacher and former day camp counsellor charged with sexual offences involving boys under 16 killed himself at High Park subway station next. Toronto Police sources confirmed Jarvis Collegiate teacher David Dewees apparently lay down on the tracks as a Metro train approached around 8 a.m. as horrified witnesses watched.

(Prov 22:1 KJV)  A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. (Eccl 7:1 KJV)  A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.  (Prov 22:14 KJV)  The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.

WHEN DEALING WITH A BAD POLITICIAN I OFTEN DO FIRST START TO LOOK FOR THE MAIN THINGS THAT SOCIETY AS A WHOLE WILL STILL NOT ACCEPT – SUCH AS:
1: Stealing money, abusing their expense account
2: Adultery, extra marital affairs
3: Alcoholism, bad drugs usage, indication of loss of self control
4: The false, always unacceptable Physical, verbal abuses, Bullying  of others ( SUCH AS DONE OFTEN NOW BY BELL THE BULLY, LIAR TOO)
5: Other serious MORAL wrong doings

While  most people do not practice morality but they still do think it is important values to have in our leaders now too..

A brother of mine had written to me some interesting comments about the need to deal with hireling type preachers and it should include their restitutions as well.. Would be nice if everyone practiced it now too. The persons emphasizing restitution too.

Funny some people claim they are God inspired when they continually do point out the sins of other pastors, but when I also next do  point out their own unacceptable, unrepentant of sins, hypocrisy they next often falsely say I myself am merely being bitter.. how doubled standard they personally now are as well.  Now to me what I hear from them it is still often just mere hypocrisy, coming from them.  I would be lying to you if I thought they now were actually honest and believable, for the last many decades now too sadly.. Really sorry too  but in sincerity for me now sadly still  I do not believe most of what they do  say is even being done in real truth, in real Christian love,  not even about the need of Christian restitution.. ..Rather sadly these critics or rather bashers, I have also often seen firsthand how some of these critics have lied to me, others, to themselves, and distorted the truths for  hidden personal agendas, hopeful  personal gains.. I also have seen  how they do  bully, abuse others, lie about them too, me included, to me they just always wanted to become someone important, to make themselves   more  important over others,  they are still the  false slave driver, and they are not important at all.. To me they are still the kettle calling the pot black.. and for me anyone it seems even you can be a so called Christian critic too these days and even claim to be God inspired, a prophet of the Lord too. For they often for sure are not Christians.. they are still trying to serve self and God at the same time..  it cannot be done. I measure how genuine they firstly are in the real evidence of their love too..

(Gal 6:1 KJV)  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.  LK 17:3 “Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. if he repents, seems we do not see that firstly even from most governmental criminals these days too never mind the rest..

From decades of experience I too have learned that there is no such thing as a little bit pregnant, and perverse people unchecked, unstopped  tend to go to extreme next as well.. they are immoral in many other areas and thus often resort to lying, stealing, tax evasion, abuse of others..

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – An Orange County man accused of texting while driving and hitting and killing a pedestrian has been ordered to stand trial for gross vehicular manslaughter.

When other drivers, police do  see you yakking on your cell phone, they  become immediately enraged by your obvious disregard for traffic safety, but they’ll be absolutely livid if they catch you texting while driving and it can lead to serious court charges too. It was all predictable before hand now as well

Texting While Driving Banned for Federal Workers New York Times – Federal employees will no longer be allowed to send text messages while driving government vehicles or when driving their own cars and using cellphones paid for by the government, according to an executive order signed Wednesday night ..

.

Gov’t seeks ban on texting truckers, bus drivers The Associated Press   families of victims of accidents caused by distracted driving, who urged the government to take a strong stance against cell phone use in vehicles, whether it includes a hands free device or not. They said technologies that prevent the mobile device from receiving e-mails or phone calls while the vehicle is in motion could help address the problem. “Everyone our age thinks we’re invincible,” said Nicole Meredith, 18, of Louisville, Ky., who totaled her car because she was texting while driving.

EDMONTON — When Tammy Henkel hits the road in Edmonton, she turns off her cellphone and stores it in the trunk until she arrives at her destination. That wasn’t always the case for the interior designer, but became a new, urgent, self-imposed rule in 2007 after her 70-year-old mother was hit and killed by an Edmonton Transit driver while she was crossing on a green walk light near the Edmonton Journal at 101st Street and Macdonald Drive. A court witness said the bus driver had been talking on her cellphone minutes before she made a right-hand turn directly into Norah Tomlin Henkel. The driver was fined $2,000, had her driver’s licence suspended for three months and was found guilty of careless driving and failing to yield to a pedestrian.

The B. C. government announced Tuesday that it plans to ban texting while driving. The new law will also prohibit new drivers from talking on their cellphones, while experienced drivers would be limited to the use of hands-free telephones, the Liberals said. “There’s lots of distractions in motor vehicles and we need to limit those distractions,” Solicitor General Kash Heed. Four provinces have banned the use of hand-held cellphones while driving: Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec and Ontario  http://www.montrealgazette.com/cars/Coalition+urges+Alberta+cellphone+while+driving/2313344/Cells+texting+banned/1930860/story.html

.
Washington Post – Computerworld – driving while distracted from using a cell phone or texting is “personally irresponsible and socially unacceptable behavior, but in the end we won’t make the problem go away by just passing laws … We cannot legislate behavior to get results to improve road safety.” All Laws also have to be enforced…
.
Los Angeles Times – NewsHour  About a third of texting teens in the U.S. admit to texting behind the wheel, even though some said they thought it could hinder their ability to drive, according to a study by the Pew Research Center. The study by Washington, D.C.-based Pew polled 800 youth and found 82 per cent of those aged 16 to 17 have a cellphone and 76 per cent text. The poll suggests that overall, 34 per cent of teen texters aged 16 to 17 have texted while driving. The survey has an accuracy of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.  http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2009/11/16/consumer-teen-texting-pew.html

Thankfully there’s a simple answer to this problem for anyone with an Android phone, like the T-Mobile MyTouch, a program called Textecution.

.

Textecution is a program that runs on Android phones and uses the onboard GPS to know how fast the phone is moving. If it detects the phone traveling at speeds that indicate it is in a car, Textecution disables the texting functions of the phone.
But mooooom, your kid is sure to complain when you install this little application on their phone, “I need to be able to text when I am riding the bus to my soccer game! This isn’t fair!” That’s where Textecution moves from handy way to prevent teen texting to ingenious.

,

If your teen is moving too fast, but not the driver, they can send a request for access which will alert you and let you enable their text messaging functions with a simple text reply.

.

With more states putting texting while driving laws on the books, having a text addicted teen driver could get costly very quickly. Fines commonly start close to $100 and several states are trying to get laws passed that would make fines hundreds of dollars for a single offense.

.

On top of fines, a single accident can easily cost a few hundred for a fender bender to several thousand for a crash, not to mention the increased insurance cost for years to come.

.

Even though there’s nothing in place to stop your kid from removing Textecution from their phone, other than you knowing later, it is a useful tool for preventing texting while driving and keeping your kid safe and focused when they are behind the wheel.

.

If you don’t have an Android phone to use Textecution with perhaps you should just sit your kid down to watch this, very graphic, PSA from the UK that explains the dangers of texting while driving in an unforgettable manner.

Quebec – Delegates to a weekend meeting of the Quebec Liberal Party voted today to bring back highway tolls, one of a series of measures to balance the provincial budget. Delegates also approved resolutions to increase the excise tax on alcohol and to introduce a new excise tax on energy drinks, chips, soft drinks and candies. An excise tax is built into the price of products such as gasoline and alcohol. Resolutions calling for royalties paid on water for commercial uses and a minimum royalty payment by mining companies were also adopted. Saturday the delegates approved resolutions calling for higher hydro rates and the introduction of tuition fees in CÉGEPs, Quebec’s unique junior colleges, until now tuition-free. http://www.montrealgazette.com/health/Liberals+vote+bring+back+highway+tolls/2039604/story.html
And when the citizens ask the politicians to do their jobs better where are they? My very useless Lieberal local Quebec MLA Clement Gignac and his representative Luciana.Evangelista@mdeie.gouv.qc.ca they had not even acknowledged or replied even to my last 2  letter to them  for  they seem to be so busy chasing the mighty dollar, to make up for losing 30% of the Quebecers pension funds they lost. Now they even do say they are too busy to talk me and so they do forget about me, and all of the  elderly persons now too it seems.

The cost of Ontario’s bungled push toward electronic health records for every patient ballooned to more than $1 billion as successive Liberal and Progressive Conservative governments scrambled to bring the system online, says a critical new auditor general’s report into the eHealth Ontario spending scandal. The report makes four broad recommendations – including tighter spending and accountability controls.. “But I think it goes beyond that to a practice that has been commonplace in the Ontario government for decades and we’re going to stop it.” http://www.healthzone.ca/health/newsfeatures/article/703083

Forget the crap that the Canadian Governments, especially municipalities are serving the public, including all of their civil and public servants, in reality they are mostly self serving, and basically not at all trying to control the tax payer’s costs, as a result major rampant uncontrolled money abuses, thefts,  corruptions,  etc continues occur Canada wide too..

What about having  a valid,  real Federal economic development, job creation programs instead?  for  It is not surprising that the same Civil servants under the federal  Liberal government had suggested next again  a federal job creation program that would provide cash stimulant firstly now to their fellow buddies, the civil and public servants at the provincial , municipal levels, but what was rather surprising that the Conservative politicians had gone along with it.  What is also surprising is the new federal Conservative Government like it’s Liberal predecessor does not want to regulate the taxpayer’s money abuses.. surprise , surprise…

This is not an isolated case, example  in fact limited to one city or one province too.. Gomery wants new inquiry – this one into alleged mob, construction, politics ties  MONTREAL – The man who led a historic inquiry into political corruption thinks another one is necessary amid allegations of criminal acitivity in the construction industry and municipal politics. Mafia experts describe such corruption as a national occurence but so far governments at the federal, provincial, and municipal level have been resistant to the idea of a probe. The retired judge said large donors wield too much influence when it comes to the awarding of municipal contracts, and that an inquiry could explore those links.. Quebec’s highways cost 11 per cent more per kilometre than in Ontario and 43 per cent more than in the rest of Canada… Curbing corruption could save several hundred million dollars every year.. adds 20 to 35 per cent to the cost of public works projects… the savings would pay for better repairs to, and snow removal from, streets and sidewalks. It would reduce pressure on raising property taxes, parking-meter fees, and bus fares. And it would make tram lines (which cost $40 million per kilometre) more affordable.

Double dipping. Police dip into victims’ cash   TORONTO STAR Sep 29, 2009 04:30 AM   41 victim cash award decisions by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board in the last three months of 2008, but the incidents in question occurred from 1999 onwards. Taxpayers paid $1.5 million to officers hurt on job out of coffers meant for civilians  A police officer received $10,000 as compensation because he can no longer enjoy gardening, visiting flea markets and collecting carnival glass. Another officer was awarded $1,000 after a suspect bit his arm but not hard enough to break the skin. A third broke a finger while making an arrest and received $6,500 after he claimed the fracture led to arthritis and a lower quality of life. A provincial fund that compensates civilians victimized by violent crime is routinely and increasingly paying “pain and suffering” cash awards to police officers who suffer minor injuries on the job. Workplace insurance already compensates these injured officers. A Toronto Star investigation has found that since 2005, more than 400 officers and prison guards across Ontario received a total of $1.5 million from the taxpayer-funded Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (CICB).  The board released 10 per cent of its decisions to the Star, and an analysis shows the officers who receive the cash often return to full duties, carrying a gun. A Star analysis shows the number of payouts and the average amount of each award have risen dramatically over the past four years. The amount of money given annually to officers has more than doubled since 2005, with $623,000 awarded in 2008. The number of payouts has also jumped, from 92 in 2005 to 137 last year. That’s a 49 per cent increase.  “I’m absolutely appalled,” said Dr. Leslie Balmer, a Peel Region psychologist who counsels families of murder victims. “I thought this is a fund … for victims of crime, not police officers … doing their job.”  Alan Young, law professor and author of a 2003 report on victim compensation systems across Canada, said: “I am somewhat shocked by the audacity that police forces feel they can tap into money that (is not) intended to assist them. It seems like this is double-dipping going on.” Toronto Police Service employees top the list with 133 cash awards since 2005. Ontario Provincial Police is second with 71. Peel Regional Police is next with 25. Ottawa Police ranked fourth with 20. The forerunner of the current law, the 1967 Law Enforcement Compensation Act, was meant to compensate civilians injured while assisting police, like the widow of Jack Blanc, a Toronto resident who was killed helping police try to stop a bank bandit. Over the years the law changed and has become widely known as a fund for civilian victims of violent crime who lose wages or suffer out-of-pocket expenses. It is now the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act. Ottawa Police Chief Vern White said   ”I am surprised. I always thought it was for civilian victims.” http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/702444

“The police force and prison guards have a very strong union. They have unbelievably strong benefits. They have additional resources that ordinary citizens do not have if they are injured by violent crime,” The Police have abused the system. By the shear results, percentages alone, the police have falsely taken advantages over the citizens, victims of crime.. “Police have the same right as any other citizen to apply for compensation if they have been the victim of a crime.” but the Police have unfair advantage they have an inside track, and free legal counsel as well.. paid by the taxpayers.. all clearly an abuse of what was definitely meant for all of the citizens.  The Ontario Liberal government undeniably allows the false abuse of the system again too.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/25/the-police/

Many of Ontario’s Crown agencies have forgotten they serve the public – a systemic problem in need of quick attention to prevent further erosion of government services.. the same thing can also be said about BC, Quebec and Alberta too now.. mismanaged clearly!

MONTREAL – As Canadian provinces try to pull their budgets into the black, road tolls, higher postsecondary tuition and candy-bar taxes might be the ticket that gets them there. Quebec Premier Jean Charest has been given a green light from his Liberal party to raise government revenue on several fronts – everything from boosting electricity rates to introducing new excise taxes on booze and energy drinks. Charest said despite receiving the nod of support over the weekend, there will be no additional charges for Quebecers before the issue has been debated in public. “We’re going to look at the whole picture, not just whether or not there should be more or less user fees,” Charest said Monday in Montreal. “We need to look at how we spend money and how we need to tighten the belt of government as we go through this.”  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090928/national/provincial_fee_hikes

The Provincial Liberals in three province now British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec included are no  better than the Progressive Conservatives, others in managing the government, and the related governmental abuses, wastes,  rather all they can mainly do is try to increase the taxes.. and this is a really unacceptable approach..

TORONTO — Ontario’s health bureaucracy is facing yet another scandal in the wake of more revelations of spending and procurement abuses. In a special report released Wednesday morning, Auditor-General Jim McCarter outlines numerous problems at hospitals and local health integration networks (LHINs), regional funding agencies created by the Liberal government. McCarter points to the questionable hiring of pricey consultants, many of which were sole-sourced and often not required to justify the work they did. The report details a litany of questionable consulting gigs at hospitals, including one, worth $700,000, that was so vague it didn’t even list a detailed description of services needed. Another hospital completely failed to account for a $170,000 consultant contract, and was unable to produce the initial request for proposal, the names and number of firms invited to bid, the bidders’ proposals or any evaluation criteria used to reward the contract. The same firm was retained for another, $430,000 contract. Another hospital paid $8.3 million to one consulting firm for IT services over the past three fiscal years, including $180,000 the firm charges for each consultant it provides. The auditor’s report also details questionable expense claims by hospital consultants. They include one temporary executive who, despite his $275,000 annual salary, also billed the hospital nearly $150,000 for other consultants and administrative support, $14,000 for salary bonuses, foreign exchange fees and a Christmas luncheon, and numerous expensive hotels (including one, in Chicago, where he paid $500 for hotel phone charges) and lavish meals around the world. McCarter also questioned the use of lobbyists by half the 16 hospitals he audited.   “We questioned the appropriateness of using government funds to pay lobbyists to help obtain more government funding.”Health minister Deb Matthews reacted swiftly to the report, announcing legislation that will ban the use of lobbyists and open hospitals to freedom of information legislation by January 1, 2012.  The auditor-general also found “significant” problems with consultant contracts signed by LHINs The revelations contained in Wednesday’s report are reminiscent of those unearthed last December, when Mr. McCarter detailed spending abuses at eHealth Ontario. That agency, created by the Liberal government, was found to have given millions in sole-sourced contracts to high-priced consultants with few controls and little oversight.“I’m not afraid to say that I’m really sorry this has gone on,” said Matthews. “I don’t think this is acceptable. I don’t think we’ve been as accountable as we ought to have been. We owe it to taxpayers to ensure that every dollar they spend on taxes gets the best possible value.” http://www.nationalpost.com/news/Ontario+Auditor+General+slams+hospital+lobbying/3701093/story.html

The same bad Liberals never learned to do things right and honestly the first time even.. allow their consultant sins to go on falsely.

Conservative PM Stephen Harper’s false power plays

 SH (01)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oX20u1Y_iik

Brian Jean the Conservative MP for Fort McMurray-Athabasca made comments critical of the “Just Visiting” ads the Conservatives have been running against Ignatieff off and on since the spring. Speaking with the Edmonton Journal, Jean who has won the seat for the Conservatives in the last three elections told a local newspaper he doesn’t like the ads.

PM Stephen Harper is being predicted as looking for an excuse to call a new federal election, to stay longer in power, by getting a majority next.

He Harper has already found unsuccessful election platforms such as Transparency, Accountability, Honesty, Integrity  which he did not deliver upon, or Abolishing or revising the Senate… cutting back on federal Powers..

And so why does he want another term in office when he said originally elect us and we will show you what we can do?

For  we all next saw Harper rather  become another dirty, corrupted, immoral, polluted politician who lied, broke his promises, hired his friends into offices as well and he really was no different!

So why do you want a majority now, to even make things worse? or falsely try to kick Quebec out of Canada?

Mr. Harper now  what about rightfully getting elected by doing good work looking after all the Canadian good welfare and not trying to steal the votes by being another dirty politician?

Look when the Conservative first got elected I specially wrote that no party will next get a majority until they actually stop playing dirty politics and really started to look after the good welfare of all Canadians Canada wide and so to date we have not seen this, so we are continually in a minority government.

But we continue to be no often asked the Questions It’s time to pull the plug on the federal government? “It is not  time to pull the plug?”   It is the burning Federal election question of the day spunned by all the political spin doctors of all parties  when they  have backup support for a win from their paid lying  pollsters: Both sides then do want an election when they do think they can win.  But do Canadians need an election?  and can any Party  realy now next win a majority? No.

The first main question is rather Can any party demonstrate that it cares and is now working really for the god welfare of all Canadians and not just themselves mainly?  We all now the answers, NO, for they are all ttend to be selfish, self centered only.

So the  Politicians have been now often told that Canadians don’t want and don’t need another election, Canadians and  are fed up with the constant shenanigans of all of the unproductive and divisive parties, all of them. Conservatives especially.

A majority government next will undeniably to not make any difference, for undeniably too they the main party will just steal more for themselves and their supporters next as well all seem to know now too.  Actions speak louder than their mere words here too.

Three minority governments have confirmed that the Canadian democracy  works. Stop stealing , wasting taxpayers money and go back to work looking after all Canadians in reality and not mainly the selected few. How more simple can it be said now?

Canadians  have already often exercised their democratic rights over the political process and their parliamentary institutions, and have next elected a minority government cause no party is ample presently to serve the citizens effectively in reality.

The  Republican-lite  Harper Conservative party  while it says it pines for a much reduced role of the state, yet hypocritically has been spending more money over the past Liberal government.

Also the critics would say that supposedly the Harper government is in the process of reconstructing by stealth the nature and scope of the Canadian federal system by decentralizing programs and undermining Ottawa’s future power to tax and spend. Reality the next government will no be able to spend because of the huge undeniable deficit presently being caused .

But  there is the continuing duplicity of our Conservative politicians and their spin doctors who once had claimed they will   operate on sound, moral principles but then quickly  violate them  often, even at the mere smell of a partisan political advantage. Prime Minister Stephen Harper had loudly denounces a hypothetical Liberal/NDP coalition, one backed by the dreaded separatists, and pleaded for a majority to head it off. But when he sees the Liberals may next win win  he next pleads with the NDP and the Bloc to support his government or else the economy and the unemployed will suffer. And he accepts their support. aid.. Who would rightfully even want to give this hypocrite a majority even too?

Yes all the Parties are still looking mainly, firstly, selfishly after themselves and not all Canadians and this will allays be unacceptable. That is why an election is not wanted  now by most Canadians.

CONSERVATIVE SPIN DOCTORS STILL TRYING TO LIE TO US THAT A OC MAJORITY  GOVERNMENT IS POOSIBLE SHOULD DO MORE HONEST POLLS AND TELL US HOW QUEBECERS SEE  HARPER STILL.. no one can get a majority without Ontario, Quebec still – 64 PERCENT ARE NOT VOTING FOR HARPER. A MAJORITY- Conservatives maintaining lead: poll – This poll doesn’t represent the majority of Canadians, and neither does Harper.  Harper will be looking for some excuse to trigger an election so he can get his elusive majority.  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/30/ekos-poll-political-parties-afghanistan.html#socialcomments

My 89 years old father  says that you all in the governments are mere parasites. Wizen up Ottawa and start looking after all Canadians, for we do not trust any  of you presently to do so, to look after us all  too. We are all not that stupid we can see what is really now happening too.

Stephen Harper’s Conservative minority government proposed to redistribute the federal elections ridings last year as well. But the bill was never passed into law, partly due to complaints from Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty who had felt the province wouldn’t receive enough additional parliamentary seats under the proposed changes.  And Quebec and the Bloc Quebecois is expected to oppose redrawing the electoral map. The Bloc has come to hold about two-thirds of Quebec’s 75 ridings in recent elections.  Adding seats elsewhere would erode the Bloc’s political clout. The Conservative Stephen Harper federal government is reportedly still working on legislation to create as many as 32 new electoral ridings across suburban areas of B.C., Alberta and Ontario so hopefully next time they can get a majority government. Changing the electoral map in such a way will play in the Conservatives’ favour because the party thinks it stands a good chance of picking up additional seats in suburban Alberta and B.C., and potentially Ontario as well. ” For Harper  this is the route not only to getting rid of minority governments, and a a route to a Tory majority, creating  a dynasty. The proposed changes  could be presented to Parliament as early as this fall or early 2010, and would increase the number of MPs in the House of Commons to 340 from 308. The new ridings would in all probability go to suburban areas around the major cities of Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto, communities. As a result Quebec and BQ would lose some ridings. Which will not go over in Quebec, and will be forcibly opposed, causing another federal election likely.. which is what Harper wants anyway?

For years now, after every election, faced with increasingly dismal turnouts, journalists and pundits ask the same questions: Why are Canadian voters staying home? What is wrong with us?  Maybe it’s time to ask not what is wrong with Canadians, but what is wrong with our leaders. Or better yet, let’s just start placing the blame squarely at their feet.  http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/why-no-one-wants-an-election/article1301959/

It has always confounded me as to why the crooks, abuser too often do still do think they can get away with now, next and forever.

Harper set to give economic update The report is quite predictable. It will be at least 90% self congratulations, and the rest shots at the opposition.  As we have seen in the past a conservative economic update is as accurate as reading a crystal ball at a carnival. Harper will say one thing and the economist HE hired will correct him and Flaherty in about 5 days. This government is a joke. They have been spending a fortune with TV ads to lead us to believe that the very self serving trickle of cash they have dispersed for votes is actually helping our economy. Meanwhile other countries are spending on infrastructure and civil transportation. Bring these circus clowns down and lets get some effective government which is in it for the people and not their own egos. we need a government that wants to help people first, then themselves…  the present government only works for people when their position is in jeopardy… please don’t be fooled

Buried deep in the fiscal update that Jim Flaherty, the Finance Minister, delivered earlier this month is a table of projected budgetary revenues, which suggests that EI premium revenues will rise to $26.1-billion in five years time, from $16.4-billion this year. Since employment growth is forecast to be limited during this period, all the experts who have looked at the numbers — from Toronto-based economic consultant Dale Orr to the Parliamentary Budget Office — have concluded that the increased revenue will probably come from higher premiums that could reach $2.33 of every $100 earned within five years, a 35% rise from the current $1.73.  The irony for a governing party that patted itself on the back in yesterday’s report for bringing tax relief to Canadian businesses is that it is set to oversee a 35% hike in what is known as the “job-killing tax.” It seems the party that racked up $50-billion in EI surpluses under Paul Martin and spent the lot on deficit reduction is as mute as the Conservatives when it comes to coming clean with Canadians. We are being short-changed by our politicians, who neither lie nor tell the truth.

Interesting my own experience with lying crooks is that they tend to have 2 sets of accounting books.. One set of books is the  public lie and the other one is internal truth.

House to debate confidence motion. The Conservatives only need the support on the Bloc or the NDP to survive a confidence vote in the House of Commons and avoid a potential election campaign. “To date, no party or leader has treated you honestly to an explanation of what a $56 billion deficit or $600 billion debt mean for your family or your finances. Suggesting there’ll be no tax hikes, spending cuts or mortgage increases is akin to Stephen Harper telling us one year ago Canada was immune to recession and our budget would stay balanced. It’s crap.In fact, it’s fair to say my experiences in politics over the past four years have reminded me why 97% of Canadians do not belong to a party”

A BAD CONSERVATIVE IS NOT ANY BETTER THAN A BAD LIBERAL. BASHING THE LIBERALS WILL NOT CHANGE THE FACTS, REALITY AS TO HOW STILL THE BAD CONSERVATIVES ARE.

It has always confounded me as to why the crooks, abusers  too often do still do think they can get away with now, next and forever.

It is also a  vintage  Conservative PM Stephen Harper style, as a wolf in sheep clothing, that now continually still  falsely evades, evades, evades facing his  own negative truths too, for when it comes to dealing about what he actually does, what he actually stands for, he the Great Evader demonstrates openly to all his own  extraordinary lack of honesty,  forthrightness and any credible intellectual weight.

We all in Canada already  could be facing more taxes, severe service cuts as the federal  and provincial governments  do brace  some more for a “long, slow grind” to economic recovery that included already unacceptable government wastes,  high deficits that even will take years to over come..

FOR WE TEND TO KNOW THAT THEY THE CROOKS, ABUSERS TOO,  NOW ARE NOT ABOUT TO STOP THEIR WRONG DOINGS. RATHER THEY WILL NEXT EVEN ESCALATE, CONTINUE IN THEM. AND THAT IS ANOTHER VALID REASON  THEY DO NEED TO BE EXPOSED, PROSECUTED AND STOPPED. EVEN FOR THE GOOD OF US ALL

What now a merely short period of time it has made a big, visible behavior difference in our leader now as well. In reality now he continues to go downhill morally. One step forward and one step backwards Prime Minister Stephen Harper had now in the past once pledged to usher in a new era of transparency, accountability and honest brokerage, the same Stephen Harper had been one of the loudest most effective voices decrying mouldy cheque book politics is lying, hypocritically doing the same thing even.  Consider the Conservative’s pathetic excuse for breaking Canada’s ethics laws – the Liberals did it before us. Whatever happened to providing a more transparent and ethical government than your predecessor?

The abuses of power by the Conservatives is growing rapidly, making unimaginable gains. Unimaginable because these same Tories watched the Grits fall from power largely because of corruption-related activities and promised the cleanup. The Conservatives now even  uses millions of taxpayer dollars promote themselves and the prime minister on flyers delivered to constituents homes, as well as on advertisements and websites used to promote the federal government’s stimulus-funding efforts.  The party-comes-first philosophy shown by the Conservatives is not what Stephen Harper promised when he was in opposition. Harper,   promised the party corruption and lack of accountability would be a thing of the past if his party took power. But history has a way of repeating itself, especially these slimy patronage political games that seem wrongfully irresistible to Conservative political strategists as well .  The Conservatives began to abuse power before they even came to power. It was discovered that during the 2006 campaign — while Stephen Harper was pledging a new era of accountability — his political machine was operating a sly in-and-out scheme that camouflaged expenditures so as to allow his party to spend more than entitled under election regulations. Many examples of the Conservative abuse of power followed   PM Stephen Harper’s own false government’s definition of acceptable behavior is the one set by past Liberals. Many are now Conservative Ottawa-cynical. The changing of the federal government clearly has been nothing more than new dogs learning to improve the old bad tricks where now milking maximum recovery credit from the still lingering recession misery has become a Conservative  government preoccupation and  now also a Conservative fiasco, publicity nightmare, the latest game played with  our tax dollars by a hypocritical, lying Conservative government that promised to do things better and differently.

Knobscam. Mr. Harper. I’m one Canadian who puts your abuse of my tax dollars before your ability to play the piano. Harper figures he can buy all of us. Sorry honey, not enough to get my vote. Tories trumpet doorknob repair as stimulus: Liberals    Opposition parties called out the Harper government for including what they say is routine maintenance to federal buildings in P.E.I. in its economic stimulus plan. Liberal MP Wayne Easter said a huge “propaganda” sign has been posted outside an RCMP building in Charlottetown advertising the stimulus plan and informing people of the installation of “internal door hardware” inside. The “hardware” in question is doorknobs, Easter said. “Do you think this is stimulus, putting a doorknob in an RCMP building in this country? [Prime Minister] Stephen Harper calls this stimulus?” he said, Easter said federal officials have said $800,000 has been allocated for repair and restoration of federal buildings and facilities in Prince Edward Island and that each of the buildings features a large sign advertising the action plan.  He said the repairs include moving an iron fence, installing a boiler room door, putting in an air-exchange system and upgrading elevators.    The sad thing is that many Canadians are falling for this. DON’T BE MISLEAD BY THE CONSERVATIVES. This Conservative government is obviously using smoke and mirrors but Canadians are not that stupid.

Conservatives next stating their present overall Marketing strategy is no different than the past Liberal sponsorship program, only  undeniably admit they too have entered the cesspools of immorality now are blindly failing to see that was the main reason why the Liberals were kicked out too.. and now it is rightfully also the  Conservative’s Party’s turn to be removed. Prime Minister Harper and his Conservative cronies should learn from their Liberal colleagues that Canada voters have a low tolerance for political parties who lack ethics and good judgment. History stunningly repeats itself. Some say that It isn’t as bad in that the Harper  has nothing as serious as a sponsorship scandal on his hands. But it’s just as bad, if not worse, in that this is the lying new Conservative  prime minister who promised a new way was still  hypocritically giving us the old.

Nor does the increasingly visible, undeniable  fact  that Conservative ridings across Canada received more than their fair share of big-money stimulus projects paid for by taxpayers bolster opposition allegations of pork barrelling in the multi-billion-dollar stimulus package. Wild Rose, a   Tory seat west of Calgary, landed 24 million-dollar-plus projects, more than any other riding in the country too. Of the 20 ridings across the country with the most big-dollar projects, 13 are held by Conservative MPs. Yes many of the disbursed funds have been concentrated on Conservative government-held ridings how does this square with Harper’s own past loud, righteous pre-election rhetoric.  The difference between government and opposition ridings is particularly pronounced in Quebec, where the Conservative ridings received 22 per cent of large projects, although the party holds only 13 per cent of the ridings, which means they received 62 per cent more per riding than if the money were divided evenly.  And although Quebec has 23 per cent of the population of Canada, it has also now so far received only seven per cent of projects listed on the Economic Action Plan map. Ontario,   taking 54 per cent of all Canadian projects — although the province accounts for 39 per cent of the population.

Many of us once had understood simply that some Liberal party members misused their positions of trust with public funds–and that fuelled cynicism throughout Canada that the Liberals had grown immoral,  fat and complacent. Now it can also be equally applied to the new Conservatives too.  NDP MP Pat Martin said he wants auditor general Sheila Fraser to investigate the way the Conservatives are handling government-funded communications and advertising.  “They are clearly trying to blur the lines between where the government of Canada ends and the Conservative Party of Canada begins. I think it’s not only unethical and misleading — it’s probably illegal.”  It is immoral, illegal for it is also  the same type of unacceptable lying distortion   that says that Stephen  Harper has an elected majority government, when he still has only an elected   minority government. The sad reality is that too many Conservative, Albertans,  supporters spin doctors, are also unacceptable now  guilty of supporting this immoral, hypocritical behavior too Albertans, who of all Canadians, merely accepted the latest undeniable, unacceptable revelations of inadequacies –never mind Harper’s stacking Senate appointments, his favouring Conservative lobbyists or enforcing ideological purity in judicial appointments –with a falsely  indifferent attitude . After they were once one of the loudest voices to call for fundamental reform, to end the old-style politics of patronage and entitlements, to insist now instead upon clean, open governance and straight talk and look at what has happened to the voice, it is wrongfully silent now.

Once in power they all tend to behave the same way, to become corrupted, the Conservative  it seems too.  Those same past sensible Conservative moral demands must be applied to all governments in Ottawa, including any Conservatives ones now too.

QUESTION: GUESS WHICH RCMP LIE?

ANSWER: IT SEEMS MOST OF THEM DO

It is not the rapists, drunk drivers, tax money abusers  that mostly  fill the courts calendars, docks rather it is mostly the revenue generating traffic tickets..

Ottawa vows tougher white-collar sentencing

OTTAWA – The Conservative government says legislation to be tabled Wednesday will set a two-year mandatory minimum federal jail sentence for fraud over $1 million. What a joke.. Steal  one million dollars, go to jail for 2 years only, and when you come out you can likley spend the money you have hidden as well..

The Police

The Police are the politicians watchdogs.. it does not take much brain, morality to do what the masters says and they show it..

Arctic tour: Chinese journalist denied chance to ask Stephen Harper    Chinese journalist denied chance to ask Stephen Harper a question. A skirmish broke out at the end of Stephen Harper’s Arctic tour when a Chinese journalist covering it tried to ask the prime minister a question.  Li Xue Jiang, bureau chief for China’s People’s Daily, was told by a PMO media relations adviser he wasn’t allowed to ask a question because they’re limited to just five and are allotted to only 5 PMO  selected Canadian journalists. AND THEY CALL THIS A DEMOCRACY TOO…   When Li grabbed the microphone, the prime minister’s personal security detail stepped in. RCMP officers hustled Li to the back of a massive building.

Quebec shale-gas opponents have come under RCMP police surveillance.. SO MUCH FOR FREEDOM OF SPEECH. WHILE UNPROSECUTED BAD CRIMMINALS ABOUND IN CANADA  CAUSE CLEARLY OUR BAD LEADERS, ADMINSTRATORS THEY DO NOT WANT TO PROSECUTE THEIR BAD ASSOCIATES, EVEN THE RCMP  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/01/14/its-time-to-ban-and-disband-the-rcmp-and-replace-them-with-a-real-police-force/

.

Now for decades even there was a vast amount of Ongoing Montreal Corruptions while the Police , RCMP and the Federal, Quebec Governments all did nothing about it.. Why was that now? Exemplary Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty serves very ones best interest… too often still missing in the PROFESSIONAL BODIES, EVEN IN THE RCMP, police   forces, churches, ALL GOVERNMENTS  as well it seems too.

HOUSE CLEANING IS STILL VERY MUCH IN ORDER HERE TOO.

It’s getting harder every day to justify  paying for an RCMP that does nothing.  Their excuses for taking no action in  this case are crap. Oh this is total BS…the RCMP have a confession on TAPE…what more do they need???????  Two B.C. people who are victims of identity theft are speaking out in frustration with the justice system. Because you know who it is — and you have the proof that you need — and nothing happens.”  because it’s been such a time delay — the statute of limitations on certain crimes means I am on the hook for everything.” “[Identity theft and fraud] is a level of crime that you don’t know about until it is too late it seems.. He filed his first report with the RCMP at that time. Gorst said he was told it was a matter for his bank to handle.. it is “common” for police to be unable to make charges stick in identity theft cases. The crimes are intricate and often hidden for long periods, with the help of technology. What a travesty of our justice system. And I thought Harper was getting tough on crime. Well, it’s all just grandstanding because he really hasn’t done anything. What’s the point in tougher jail sentences when you can’t even charge someone?  They reported the case to the RCMP? In British Columbia, you say?  Well, that explains it all, doesn’t it?  Anyone else wonder why it’s so hard for the little people to get justice? Clearly they are not in the wrong yet the authorities and credit companies will use them as scape goats since the real criminals cant be brought in.  It is obvious the system does not work in our favour as it should.  Disgusting! The victim did not apply for this credit, did not receive any benefit from it, and followed the rules. I wouldn’t pay a damn cent.  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2009/09/28/bc-identitytheft.html “

“Identity theft and fraud are not listed as specific crimes in the Criminal Code, putting Canada behind the U.S. and Europe”. IT TAKES A mere FOOL TO SAY THAT NOW TOO.. EVERYONE KNOWS IT IS WRONGFUL THEFT.. DEAL WITH IT NOW!

A Policeman is a really great person,

justice.first

till one day you really do  need his services,
and often next do hear the false excuses
as to  why they cannot help you..
cause they are too busy,
mostly helping themselves it seems..
THEY WERE MOSTLY PRETENDING
THEY WERE SERVING THE CITIZENS

Now why does this also remind me
of many of our leaders, politicians too?

OTTAWA – A new report says the federal government’s feeble efforts to stop violence against native women should shock Canadians.  Amnesty International says Ottawa must get to the heart of why more than 500 native women have vanished or been murdered in the last 30 years.  The report says federal cash for studies and sensitivity training for police has not stopped the attacks.  Amnesty urges Ottawa to produce a national action plan to co-ordinate standard police investigations and fund victim services.  The United Nations has also called on Ottawa to look into why the deaths and disappearances of hundreds of native women are unsolved.

If the government wants to get tough on crime, as it purports, it should go after the real criminals. Drunk, impaired drivers too.  NOT RATHER PERSONS LIKE Jane Raham. She was the 62-year-old grandmother convicted of stunt driving near Kingston last year after trying to pass a tractor-trailer. “If one were to describe a stunt driver, the appellant would not immediately spring to mind,” the judge said. Yet Raham, who faced the possibility of up to six months in jail, was considered guilty regardless of mitigating circumstances and had no chance to defend herself in court because stunt driving is an “absolute liability” offence. This was, is uancceptable police state  justice
.

The truth is the Police do not bother with the small crimes, except revenue generating traffic tickets traffic , POLICE ABUSE THE  the peanuts citizens, for  they tend to like pretend they go after the big crimes where they can get noticed and promoted instead..  BUT they are not successful in catching the big criminals THOUGH.

Coquitlam RCMP officer charged for drunk driving. A B.C. RCMP officer has been charged with impaired driving after being stopped by members of his own detachment on his way from the Boulevard Casino in Coquitlam early Friday morning. The officer was released from custody on a promise to appear in a Port Coquitlam court on Jan. 10, 2010. The name of the officer has not been released, but police did say he has been moved to administrative duties pending the completion of the criminal investigation and a parallel internal investigation. Drunk driving is beyond stupid… *Especially* when it’s a cop.  I just can’t understand why anyone would drive drunk. Especially a police officer.  What the hell is wrong with these people? Not good. Way too much of this going on. The RCMP and police forces in general are really losing respect and credibility. This stuff sure doesn’t help. at least they didn’t try cover it up…yet. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2009/09/25/bc-coquitlam-rcmp-impaired-driving.html

CP TORONTO – A Toronto police investigator in the traffic services division has been charged for allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash after giving only his first name.  Police say they were called to a two-car collision on Toronto’s busy Gardiner expressway just after 1 p.m. on Saturday.  Police say a motorist in one vehicle exited the expressway and stopped along with the other car and was then approached by a passenger from the second car, who said the police had been called.  When the motorist in the first car was asked his name, he allegedly replied “Paul,” and drove off.  Det. Const. Paul Higgins, 49, was charged with failing to stop after an accident Sunday and will appear in Toronto court Nov. 10.  Higgins has been serving on the force for 24 years and currently works for the traffic services’ investigative unit.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090928/national/traffic_cop_charged

Hypocrisy. The police too readily do not mind investigating others but do not like it when they are on the receiving end..

Ottawa Police Chief Vern White said   “I am surprised. I always thought it was for civilian victims.” http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/702444
.
The Ontario government undeniably allows the false abuse of the system BY THE POLICE again too..
POLICE.ISSUE
Now 40 percent of persons do not trust cops? My opinion of cops went much lower when I myself had actually tried to use their services in reality. Many people also undeniably now  blame the cops for the existence of the much too many crooked white collared crimes, business persons, and bad stockbrokers, bad civil and public servants  in reality
.

Mr. Robert Dziekanski did not deserve to die but he died because incompetent, immoral RCMP police officers neglected  their training and obligation to the public, clearly acted excessively and in haste,  and wrongfully escalated  almost instantly to the conducted energy Taser weapon, had killed an innocent  man in the process.  The four RCMP officers on the scene had wrongfully overreacted to the situation before them. An innocent man died as a result of their misjudgment and excessive use of force. ”

Their after-incident reports at the time disagree with the video evidence and, more damagingly, with their sworn statements to the Braidwood commission. They each claimed Mr. Dziekanski refused to co-operate with them, although the video evidence seems to indicate he, being a non-speaker of English, was complying the best he could with commands they gave by gesture. And while they insisted he became “combative,” picked up a stapler to use as a weapon and lunged at them, none of that is supported in the video recordings. More damning for me was what the officers told paramedics on the scene. While the officers had jolted Mr. Dziekanski five times with their Taser, they informed paramedics they had stunned the blue-faced, convulsive, breathless victim only once, a possible sign that even then they knew they had done something wrong and were preparing a common cover story.”

And ever since, their RCMP superiors also falsely have been attempting to cover up their blameworthiness.  They tried to block a comprehensive video taken at the scene from being made public. They resisted an inquiry, whitewashed their own findings and, as we learned this week, kept 18,000 documents — some highly damaging — from being seen by the formal inquiry and from the public. These great  unacceptable transgressions — the attempts also  by the brass to keep the truth from coming out — is the basic managerial  problem now plaguing the  once-proud national police force. It confirms the massive institutional rot and corrosive culture at all of the  echelons of the RCMP.  An RCMP formal  apologize for its role in all this is not enough. All  Mounties who helped perpetrate a cover-up should be sacked.

50 percent of persons do not trust the clergy? OR  Funeral directors or accountants

ACTUALLY IF YOU NEXT DO SPEND ONE DAY WORKING DIRECTLY WITH A CLERGY  YOUR OPINION MIGHT SIGNIFICANTLY WORSEN, FOR  I KNOW MINE ALWAYS HAS.

 – Majority of persons do not trust : Journalists,  Labour union leaders ,  Provincial government officials,   Building contractors ,  Lawyers ,  Bankers ,  Real estate agents,   MPP’s/MLA’s ,  Car salespeople ,  Business executives , Stockbrokers.  Politicians known to be as bad as the used car  salesmen

THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE FOR WE SEEM TO ALSO THINK MOST OF THESE PEOPLE CAN BE EASILY BOUGHT OR WILL SELL THEMSELVES FOR MONEY

And with all the latest recession, Ponzi scandals it is not surprising that the Business executives and  Stockbrokers are not trustworthy .

And most PEOPLE STILL DO THINK THAT ALL CEOs ARE SIGNIFICANTLY OVERPAID.. and even the University administrators

do see also
It has always confounded me as to why the crooks, abusers  too often do still do think they can get away with now, next and forever.
EVEN FOR THE GOOD OF US ALL.

Decades AND  DECADES LATER NOW Feds set new credit card rules Among the requirements, lenders must obtain express consent for credit limit increases, provide a summary box on statements to describe all fees, and put limits on debt collection practices. The new regulations will be largely in effect as of Jan. 1, 2010. Once again the government fails to protect the consumer. The Liberals under Chretian threatened to limit creditcard interest rates years ago but wimped out and the Conservatives are following suit.    http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2009/09/30/flaherty-credit.html

People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.

RCMP computer report ‘designed to hide,’ Liberal MP says

– Ah yes .. restoring our faith and trust in the RCMP. And we need to give Vic Toews, Peter Van Loan and Stockwell Day all a big “high-five” for their prudent oversight of this department.
– Sigh .. the incompetence we see exposed every day now just seems to defy credibility. And the spectacle of the G-8/20 is still to unfold. Sorry to repeat, but .. sigh.
– Perfectly in line with the Harper “hide it at all costs” approach !
– It’s a shame, really, to see a police force that was once so respected to become the obnoxious, wasteful, and arrogant beast it is today. I respected the RCMP as a youth, but that is no longer the case.
– RCMP you can apologize every time but we know u don’t mean it.
-This is an example of a police force gone wild. It is answerable to no one. It is about time we bring these police forces under control. They seem to want more powers by the day. No way. If they got their way there would be a curfew from dawn to dusk and we would be asked at every turn “your papers please”Read more: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2010/05/29/rcmp-computer-cost-report.html

and the RCMP was no better under the Liberals for decades now too…

BC RCMP officer charged with assault CBC.ca – ‎May 28, 2010‎ A BC Mountie appears in court next month to face a charge stemming from an alleged 2008 assault.  WHILE THE AVERAGE CITIZEN WOULD GET NO SUCH RESULTS
– God, it never ends.
– Our communities are under siege by these uniformed thugs!
– Sadly, we are no longer surprised.
– the wheels of justice grind slower all the time… when they grind at all.
–  Next comes a “suspension with pay”. You remember the old name for that, don’t you?
-We used to call it a paid vacation.

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/07/27/albertas-manure-pile/

Alberta Bill 50, controversial legislation that passed last month, includes building “critically needed” power lines but omits a regulatory requirement for the Alberta Utilities Commission to hold public hearings on whether the lines are necessary. The bill pushes ahead with five major transmission projects worth $8.1 billion. “Ed, your tenure as Premier is “a bunch of crap.”  :Time to put the fear of the people back into politics”,  “we have to throw these arrogant, lying politicians out next election!” “there are very few Albertans so ignorant and stupid as to not realize that Premier Stelmach is operating on behalf of foreign interests.  its becoming obvious that the only way to deal with these extreme right wing business-criminal style governments is through the courts and the electoral process.  ” My main concern is the agenda of building a transmission line directly across the Alberta Montana border so that some companies can sell electricity directly to the U.S. This will have SERIOUS consequences for Albertans. Particularly, it will mean a SIGNIFICANT increase in both Electricity and Transmission prices and DECREASED control over our own resources (not that we have much left). ” “It is sad but true that Alberta’s Conservative government is a runaway train of a government. It would actually surprise me to learn that much of anything was done truly ethically in this province at the government level right now, so it is no surprise that others would be accusing the government of being unethical, that is their normal operating procedure here.   The opposition in this province is so inept that it gives voters little choice, but the Conservatives have become so grossly incompetent that I would accept a group of completely uninformed dreamers in their place at least for a few years. At least dreamers would have good intentions and could be managed. Unfortunately none of the opposition parties have managed to find creative minded people to support them. We are doomed unless the voters kick the Conservatives out for at least one term to remind them that they too must look after the public interest and not just their own.” “Don’t forget to tell the Alberta tax payer who will be stuck paying for these unnecessary lines for decades that it’s really to help 40 Alberta companies, Ed’s special friends who use up a whopping 50% of our daily generated power now and who’s appetite for future power will be always increasing. Why don’t these 40 companies each grow a pair and man up and pay 50% of the cost of the new lines Ed, they use up 50% of the available power between them?” “This entire deregulation issue is such a mess here now all trust has been lost on both sides – the poor consumer does not know who to believe anymore. All thanks to the industrial power consumers and Ralph Klein. The only viable option left to bring stability back in and lower rates is to establish a provincial electrical utility and merge all these private individual power companies into one. The Saskpower and Manitoba Hydro utilities are having the last laugh along with their customers”http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/2009/12/09/calgary-enmax-alberta-power-electricity-deal-bill50.html

Bill 50  centres around the province’s plans to build new transmission lines from Edmonton to Calgary.  Any talk public hearings  of province wide transmission lines  and a third-party regulator to sign off on any plans has been scuttledby the Albertan Government. The Progressive Conservatives  Government wants to allow some of Alberta’s energy giants to move forward on six major transmission corridors without a public hearing or regulatory approval, a move that could cost as much as $20 billion and make energy bills soar. Enmax says the cost to consumers will be about $200 -300 a year or more for the next 20 years to pay for the project just to build the power lines. The premier dirtied Ed says the transmission lines should fall under the same rules as critical infrastructure, like roads, and be able to move ahead without public input on upgrades if necessary.

All “sounds pretty simple, Alberta companies want to export the electrical  power to the USA but they don’t want to pay to create the power lines needed.  This an 8 billion dollar gift to the Corporations, all sounds pretty nice to them, and what ever happened to non profit  public owned essential utility companies?

Using a public relations campaign with the taxpayer dollars. or using taxpayer’s money to allow a series of multibillion-dollar transmission lines in Alberta to be built with only ministerial approval, where the  customers will bear the costs to ensure a handful of large companies profit are both unacceptable.  Enmax CEO Gary Holden  says the cost for the lines would be paid for by taxpayers, while benefitting only a few companies and their shareholders. He claims the extra power lines would be used mainly for shipping power out of the province to be sold to the U.S. Local price of electricty will be kept high to be able  make more profit from the Americans as well. He says Enmax is currently constructing several power generating plants and when built the extra power lines would not be necessary.

The government of Alberta tries to maximize  profit from the energy shortage, electrical included,  in the US, and makes the Albertan citizens pay for it.. since the Albertan government has to sell  energy to the US at the same costs it sells to it’s citizens too, unfortunately this all backfires cause the high costs of electrical electrical energy in Alberta further discourages many new industries from moving into Alberta?

Citizens of Alberta are only importtant during an provinical, municipal election vote. So what else is new? A Dictaorial Conservative management approach is not!

“Albertans First” is just another one of those typical bad politicians cons to make people Born in Alberta falsely believe they are being properly looked after, and are better of than the rest of Canada too, all very contrary to the actual reality. It is clearly the politicians and civil and public servants who are firstly looking after themselves mainly here too..

” These lines ought to be funded by the people that will be receiving the electricity. I hope us Albertans get outraged over being taken advantage of all the time, personally I can see we get taxed too much. Its because of these kinds of projects.

“ You morons had many opportunities during the last four years while we were swimming in cash as a province to pay for this with our surpluses. Now we are temporally sucking the hind teat economically and it’s “NOW” you want us to pay for it on our monthly bill for the next 40 years. Are you insane? You have squandered our surpluses and our chance to use these surpluses to pay for this.”

“De-regulation of Power (Utilities)  Albertans were told de-regulation would bring down the power rates in the future.  Did our Alberta Government tell us lies?,  Ralph Klein certainly did “

“I always thought that the fairy tale about the “Golden Goose” was just fantasy – but apparently we ( Albertans) are the golden goose and every company in this country and those from abroad also see us ( consumers) as the golden goose – they keep coming back to us year after year and demanding even more from us – enough is enough – start to find your extra money from within your corporations – start with your over paid CEO’s and their salaries and bonuses- why are we dedicating so much money to an old technology while the rest of the world is using and developing new forms of energy production and distribution.”

“ there is a way for the transmission and power companies to recoup the cost, rather than having taxpayers cover the bill: charge the power consumers more. In that way, people who use more power pay more, and those who use less pay less (and those who use none don’t have to pay at all). The power consumers won’t pay more?  ” http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/2009/06/02/alberta-power-line-calgary-edmonton-electricity.html#socialcomments

With all that supposedly extra surplus income as advertised in  Alberta the local citizens were now to live better off than elsewhere, instead of now continually being gouged with extra costs, and the hidden taxes.. the electrical costs now included..  for Alberta really does not have cheap hydro generated electricity but relies mainly on polluting coal fired generating plants..  and what else next?

The city of Calgary, Edmonton too,  will be gouging its citizens. No discount on the downtown parking. The Big spenders at City hall need to keep the tax increases up after they spend the kitty, some of it for their useless out of town travelling expenses too.

Bill 50

The ENMAX group of companies (and its predecessors) has been a trusted energy provider in Alberta for more than 100 years. It is for this reason we cannot stand by and watch as the approval of billions of dollars in transmission projects is moved behind closed doors. If the transmission lines being proposed are approved, Albertans will be forced to foot the bill for these projects which, according to our calculation, will see transmission costs for residential and business consumers triple! You don’t deserve to be left in the dark about major decisions affecting the future of electricity in Alberta.Together we can encourage the exploration of more environmentally friendly, cost effective alternatives to the proposed transmission lines.      ….. learn more

What Canada’s official Opposition Party says

liblogo

DOES THE WATER TASTE THE SAME WITH THE CON LABEL? cause so far the Con water leaves a very bad taste in many people’s mouths

Harper gives three times the infrastructure funding to his own BC   Liberal.ca – “We’ve lost confidence because money isn’t flowing and the government is punishing unemployed workers in non-Conservative ridings.” “Liberals supported an economic stimulus program to get urgent help to unemployed workers, not to see it used as a Conservative slush fund,” said Liberal Infrastructure Critic Gerard Kennedy

Conservative candidate admits his party engages in pork-barrel politics The Conservative candidate in the riding held by Liberal MP John McCallum has publicly confirmed that his party is engaging in pork-barrel politics by denying funding for an important medical program because the riding is not held by a Conservative.

Harper Conservatives’ deal with US on air charters not a ‘trade … Liberal.ca –   OTTAWA – The Harper Conservatives have misled Canadians into thinking that their deal with Washington on Canadian charter flights carrying sports teams within the U.S. was a big trade victory, Liberal Transport Critic Joe Volpe said. “The U.S. government has lifted its ban on Canadian charter flights flying sports teams to multiple cities within the U.S., but this exemption is only for NHL teams, only for Air Canada and only for the 2009-10 season,” said Mr. Volpe. “Mr. Harper had better explain why he is trying to fool Canadians. How on earth can this be considered a major trade breakthrough? There are dozens of Canadian sports teams and entertainers who are not covered by this agreement.”

20 things everyone should know about Stephen Harper and his Reform-Conservative government

Published on September 24, 2009

1. They rigged a self-serving and politicized infrastructure stimulus program so that most of the money could land in Conservative-held ridings, delaying projects so much that only 12% are in construction and creating jobs.

2. He called Canada “second-tier socialistic country” and a “Northern European welfare state in the worst sense of the term.”

3. They put Canada on track for a deficit before the recession hit and now holds the record of the largest deficit on record at 56 billion (and climbing).

4. They failed to plan for the H1N1 flu by delaying the order of the flu vaccine and sending body bags to remote communities instead.

5. They spent 5 times more on self-promotion than informing the public on how to protect themselves from H1N1?

6. In the past two months, he has twice failed to defend Canada’s healthcare system against outrageous attacks from ultra-right Conservatives n the United States.

7. He kept Ministers in his cabinet who called the medical isotope crisis they helped create “sexy” and made jokes about the listeriosis crisis.

8. He broke his promise not to raise taxes with a $13 billion EI payroll tax.

9. They pick and choose when to protect the rights of Canadian citizens at home and abroad.

10. He called women, minorities, the disabled, and gays and lesbians “left-wing fringe groups” and Canada’s independent judiciary “left-wing ideologues.”

11. He keeps a Minister in his cabinet who openly mused about putting 10-year-olds in jail.

12. He denied that the country was in a recession and failed to plan for it, and only agreed to provide economic stimulus after causing a constitutional crisis.

13. He said he doesn’t care if “Canada ends up as one national government or two national governments or several national governments, or some other kind of arrangement.”

14. He holds the record for unelected Senate appointments for a single year — 27, more than any Prime Minister in Canadian history – after saying he would never appoint Senators.

15. He has presided over the loss of nearly a half million high quality fulltime jobs since October, with no plan to replace them with the next generation of jobs.

16. He has pushed for amending the Canada Health Act to allow for-profit-pay-as-you-go Medicare in this country and abdicated any federal role in ensuring its guiding principles of public administration, comprehensiveness, universality, portability, and accessibility.

17. He said “There will be no special status, formally or informally, for Quebec or any other province.”

18. He pushed for further deregulation and less oversight over banks and financial institutions.

19. He has done nothing to address the hollowing out of corporate Canada due to a weakening in foreign takeover rules.

20. He bragged that he was opposed to government programs to eliminate child poverty and promote cultural identity.

The Conservatives are breaking federal government rules on advertising by trying to politicize the process, “This is a flagrant misuse of taxpayers’ money,” Ignatieff Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff charged.

Tory flyer suggests Liberals are anti-Semitic.  “It is the lowest that I have seen in all of my experience on Parliament Hill. … Nobody could have ever imagined that the Prime Minister of Canada and a Conservative party could stoop this low. It’s the worst of the worst,” Toronto Liberal MP Joe Volpe (Eglinton-Lawrence).  “This is totally misleading, it’s false … and it basically seeks to associate the Liberal party with anti-Semitism. This is shocking … this has no place in Canadian politics,”   Montreal Liberal MP Irwin Cotler, who is Jewish, said.    http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/727885–pm-s-jewish-pitch-hits-a-new-low-critics-say

“The Liberal party has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the state of Israel since 1948 and to assert otherwise is outrageous,” he said. “They’re sending this into ridings with Jewish communities, they’re sending it into ridings represented by MPs who happen to be Jewish and they’re making outrageous allegations about the party” Michael Ignatieff WHO  jumped all over a Tory flyer suggesting the Official Opposition is anti-Israel.  The two-page promotional piece chastises Ignatieff for past statements and links the Liberals to anti-Semitic positions. It also accuses the Liberals of participating in a United Nations anti-racism conference that degenerated into an anti-Israeli “hatefest” and being soft on Hezbollah and Hamas. The Conservatives also question Ignatieff’s support for Israel, referring to comments the Liberal leader made following the 2006 war in Lebanon accusing Israel of war crimes. Winnipeg South Centre MP Anita Neville, who is Jewish, said the flyer is a scurrilous misrepresentation of the facts. “I find it demeaning of a government and of a prime minister. It’s part of this ‘divide and conquer’, narrow-edged politics that he does,” said Neville.  “I’m offended by it personally and collectively on behalf of the Liberal party. It is full of blatant misinformation and lies.”  http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/liberals-stand-by-israel-ignatieff-70447797.html

Another false Conservative diversionary smoke and mirror approach by Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his thugs, who did not object to the Christians in Lebanon being murdered though by Israel. Pointing out rightfully Israel war crimes is not being anti Semitic too. Harper knows that many  Jews have supported the Liberals cause Liberals rightfully support the Jews right to exists.  I too cannot endorse separating any ethnic or religious group in order to leverage political support. Harper also is playing a dangerous game, the number of voting Muslims in Canada exceeds the number of Jews

A new page in Conservative narrow-casting has the Liberals crying foul.   Using the free-mail privileges of MPs, the Conservatives are sending out flyers to ridings with large Jewish communities, arguing they are committed to Canada’s Jewish Community and the Liberals are not.  The leaflets argue the Conservatives have done more to fight anti-Semitism abroad, fight terrorism and support Israel than the Liberals. It asks recipients, “Who is on the right track to represent and defend the values of Canada’s Jewish Community,” and to choose the answer from the names of the four major-party leaders.  So far, according to Liberals, they have been spotted in mailboxes in four opposition-held ridings, all of which have large Jewish populations: Montreal’s Outremont and Pierrefonds-Dollard ridings, and Toronto’s Eglinton-Lawrence, and Winnipeg South Centre. In political parlance, that’s called narrow-casting: aiming a message at one community or demographic, rather than the population art large. “I think it is the most scandalous and scurrilous misuse I’ve ever seen of parliamentary privilege and taxpayers’ dollars, to divide a community and to pit one community against another,” said Liberal Joe Volpe, the MP for Eglinton-Lawrence.  Labelling the Liberals, including Jewish MPs who have spent their careers fighting anti-Semitism like Irwin Cotler, as “willing participants” in anti-Semitism is outrageous, he said.  He noted that the leaflet says Liberals asked for Hezbollah to be de-listed as a terrorist organization when it was a former Liberal government that put the organization on the terror list; the fact that a Liberal MP “mused” that it might be de-listed does not make that the Liberal Party’s position, Mr. Volpe argued

Conservatives breach public trust on job creation A comprehensive report by the Liberal opposition shows that major infrastructure stimulus programs intended to create jobs for the unemployed have been distorted into partisan vehicles to benefit Conservative Cabinet Ministers and Conservative MPs.

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper is using taxpayers’ money to reward Tory cronies with plum posts, Liberal MPs charged yesterday. The Tories unleashed “unparalleled patronage” by appointing 233 former Conservative MPs, campaign workers, failed candidates and donors in the past year, said Liberal MP Wayne Easter. Liberals say the recent Harper-appointees contributed more than $272,000 to Conservative coffers.  NDP and Tory officials pointed out members of Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff’s office also benefited from appointments, including diplomatic posts. yes but the hypocritical  Con kettle calling the pot black does not change the fact the kettle is immoral, liar, for it was elected on the basis that it would be a lot different over the Lieberals and not rather it’s twin..

How many real jobs now are being created by the Conservative Harper?

CANADA (2)

OTTAWA–Liberal research suggests only 12 per cent of the $4 billion set aside for immediate job-creating infrastructure projects has actually flowed so far – a far cry from the Harper government’s claim that 80 per cent of its economic stimulus plan is being implemented. Gerard Kennedy, the Liberal infrastructure critic, says that means a maximum of 4,800 jobs has been created since the infrastructure stimulus fund was created in last January’s budget. And that barely makes a dent in the 5,800 jobs that have been lost each month since the budget. Even though the work on the projects is badly behind schedule, Kennedy said yesterday the government has ratcheted up its “propaganda” machine in the last few weeks to promote its efforts to battle the recession, including a $34 million advertising campaign. When he unveiled the stimulus fund in the budget, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said he wanted to get money flowing within 120 days, in time to make the most of the summer construction season.  But Kennedy said as far as Liberals can figure out, “there was not a single job created” by Flaherty’s self-imposed deadline of May 28. And the number of jobs created since is a fraction of the 40,000 that were supposed to be generated.

Liberal research also concluded the money has gone disproportionately to Conservative ridings. The average Conservative riding got 13 times as much money as the average opposition riding in British Columbia, 2.7 times as much in Quebec. In Ontario, Conservative ridings got 11 per cent more than opposition ridings.  http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/700201

But we already knew that Stephen Harper has been a spiteful, hateful, uncaring, unloving person who discriminates, shows false partiality.. all not the true behavior of a real, genuine, valid Christian too…  and any criticism that Canadians are being fleeced for Harper’s political self-aggrandizement is not without foundation… Even right-wing commentator Gerry Nicholls decried the campaign as “an abuse of tax dollars,” describing the ads as “clearly partisan, clearly Conservative propaganda” but  all Conservative SUPPORTED  Canadian media corporations  wish to thank taxpayers for the new $34 million in advertising revenues.

see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuEdY0jy4GE ,  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uivWq14vsIU ,  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8D67YiLcOM&NR=1

The Conservatives were never really interested in job creating through infrastructure spending because it goes against their ideology. In their minds, it’s socialism. So it comes as no surprise that they haven’t done anything.  They are, however, not above buying votes. So what little money they’ve spent was to reward their supporters.  Once again, the Conservatives are the most hypocritical government in modern history. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/24/libearals-infrastructure.html

Corruptions- people still rightfully do blame the governments

 0canada

Most people still rightfully do blame the governments, politicians, bad cops and bad judges, for the existence of much too many crooked civil and public servants, crooked business persons, crooked persons in Canada.  More Laws that are unenforced also tend to be still mostly useless too.  See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuEdY0jy4GE

The essential needed way to save our taxpayer’s money is still to look at how all of these public services are delivered – and no one  can  tell me that there are no cost-cutting savings to be achieved. Compare  say a city like Montreal or Toronto where exorbitant rates too now are also paid  for useless civil and public servants with their rather unskilled services – sadly this same phenomena can be seen in many federal ministries.  Calgary isn’t exactly squeaky clean as well nor Toronto nor Montreal..   Let’s just agree the whole system is bloody corrupt, eh? For a start all Ministers supervising better all of their expenditures, and bringing all of the subordinates  salaries and wages in line with the private sector would enable us firstly  to continue delivering public services at the same level, or more! It is the still the too often abusive civil and public servants spending that now also determines the still abusive personal taxes.

The sad unacceptable fact is that this type of taxpayer’s money abuse, practice is not an isolated case, but rather repeats itself often,  Canada wide at the federal, provincial, municipal levels undeniably too.. Money allotted is not used where it was originally supposed to be but often is transferred to some other department, account.. and how is it the auditor generals did  not pick it up for 10 years too? or refuse too?

It seems Newfoundland politicians are pleading guilty to fast and loose spending, Ontario’s e-health looked outrageous, Ottawa’s mayor did a backroom deal… The    Criminals – the whole lot of them.  These type of stories always make me wonder – how many other dubious contracts are signed wasting our tax dollars?   Fire them all  and then send them to jail. Crooked persons, civil and public servants   are crooked   not matter which province they come from. Sadly the cities, provinces that supposedly drive the economy they also do steal a lot of the money too..   Premier’s Letter To The Ontario Public Service  No such thing as a little bit pregnant, what other wrongs, thefts  are the civil and public servants doing and falsely covering up now? And now still all this being done while most Canadians now do live from paycheque to paycheque.  Majority of Canadian employees living paycheque to paycheque, survey shows Is this how the rest of the federal economic stimulation   money will be now abused as well? Right under the federal Conservative Minister’s noses now as well? And why is it that their only solution to any problem in Canada seems to involve a tax increase? Because sadly even that the the new Conservatives undeniably too really are not better managers over the past Liberals.. The Conservative federal government is an unacceptably very poor manager of the taxpayer’s money now as well. The Federal Transfer payments make up a very large part of federal expenditures. The federal government is a  tax collector,  money expediter and an useless money administrator too, while the federal government’s own regular operating expenses for fiscal 2009-2010 will be only about a quarter of its total spending all the taxpayer’s money expenditures still needs to be supervised, yes held accountable for now as well. Where is PM Stephen Harper’s promised restraint, accountability now as well? The new Conservative Ministers merely  like to do all the talking but seem to bring no real, viable acts, actions  on the issues still too. Unacceptable.

The Federal public servants at Transport Canada are routinely filing millions of dollars in expenses – including overtime, salaries and computers – toward a construction project that doesn’t exist. The Mackenzie Valley pipeline remains a mega-project that is perpetually on the horizon –The project seemed closer at hand when a fund was set up at Transport Canada six years ago so that the department could oversee the expected increase in air traffic and other transportation needs. Though the pipeline remains in limbo, the department has kept the fund alive year after year, using it to cover millions in expenses that have nothing to do with the pipeline. Documents released through access-to-information requests list the expenses, which total $10.7-million since 2004. Expenses continued to be billed to the pipeline project this year. ” So, when you consider that Chuck Guite (Sr. Public servant) and Paul Coffin (ad exec) started running their fake ad invoice scam during the Mulroney administration, it appears that the Liberals inherited AdScam from the Conservatives, does it not?  ”  “This is why our taxes are so high. Take this and the Gold that vanished at the Mint and the tab is through the roof. Anyone want to bet the Mint millions gets swept under the carpet?” ”   Too much time spent electioneering and not enough time spent runnin’ things. ” http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/transport-canada-fictitiously-expensing-millions/article1286306/

Also the “Majority of persons do not trust Journalists,  Labour union leaders ,  Provincial government officials,   Building contractors ,  Lawyers ,  Bankers ,  Real estate agents,   MPP’s/MLA’s ,  Car salespeople ,  Business executives , Stockbrokers

THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE FOR WE SEEM TO ALSO THINK MOST OF THESE PEOPLE CAN BE EASILY BOUGHT OR WILL SELL THEMSELVES FOR MONEY

And with all the latest Recession, Ponzi scandals it is not surprising to many persons that the Business executives and  Stockbrokers are not trustworthy .

Now we should note how many Canadians hate the big three, Bell Corporations , Rogers, Telus for a start as well.

And most PEOPLE STILL DO THINK THAT ALL CEOs ARE SIGNIFICANTLY OVERPAID.. and even the University administrators… “

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/19/pretentious-incompetent-in-real-life/

Any Abuse of any taxpayers finds should be a criminal offence fully prosecutable by law, and should mean the immediate dismissal of all involved too, after all it is stealing the taxpayer’s money. Police, judges, supervisors  don’t tend to enforce it cause they do the same thing? All Unacceptable  still. The government “moving ahead, with more taxes” is not  the most important thing that the province can do to strengthen the economy and create jobs but rather to seriously plug up the leaking  holes in the taxpayer’s pail of money first.

We need better Policing and “Tougher penalties for sure!” You will get a longer jail sentence for robbing a convenience store of $50 than fleecing investors for millions (billions) or stealing any of the tax payer’s money.   “Also, put an end to double credit for pre-sentence incarceration!!” Put all of the criminals in jail, and their bad supervisors now too,  where they belong, and always do  take way from them all that they have stolen now as well.. and do start with the bad  civil and public servants now as well.

Ontario has announced new measures aimed at putting an end to recent controversies over government expense claims “The move is one of “four additional steps to protect taxpayer dollars and improve accountability,” Starting immediately, Ontario Public Service employees will be issued new, simplified guidelines for travel, meals and hospitality expenses. The province said it is also planning to increase the number of random audits it carries out on the province’s agencies, boards and commissions.   http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2009/09/14/ont-expenses.html  and  about time now too!

Quebec says it is intensifying police efforts to tackle corruption and financial fraud in the province amid a growing public furor over white-collar crime. The Charest government says a squad of about 20 provincial police investigators will be assigned to probe potential corruption – including the infiltration of organized crime – in the construction industry and municipal affairs. It will also bolster its police presence to track fraud with Quebec’s securities regulator, the Autorité des marchés financiers.  Meanwhile, with Montrealers going to the polls this fall, city hall is under a cloud for allegations of fraud, kickbacks and the inappropriate awarding of contracts. Multiple police investigations have been launched. Last week, a senior civil servant and a computer consultant were charged with defrauding the city of millions in a bogus billing scheme in the city’s computer division. While Quebec rejigs its police manpower, some have called for a public commission into the province’s construction industry and possible ties to organized crime.    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/quebec-cracks-down-or-corruption-white-collar-crime/article1286432/

Until people start getting fired and criminal charges are laid, these type of under the table deals will continue.  And we wonder why services continue to go down as taxes continue to go up. I say amend the criminal code to include a mandatory 5 year minimum jail sentence and a fine not less than 10 times the money involved, for breach of public trust. This amendment would cover all forms of corruption from conflict of interest to false accounting. By the time the first dozen or so of these crooks have been banged up – the rest won’t find public office so attractive once they know they can’t fleece the taxpayer.

Feds promise mandatory jail time for major fraud. Judges could consider restitution for victims as part of white-collar crime bill I’ve always found it funny that someone could steal a $2000 car and be sentenced to 20 years in jail. But steal 30 Million and you only do 18 months…. at Club Med. Excellent. There’s plenty of crime on Parliament Hill. Start your crackdown there. Rob a thousand people of $100,000 each, that’s a crime. Rob a million people of $100 each by credit card interest rates that’s OK, that’s business. We should have election threats every months, it seems it’s the only way anything happens on the hill. Threaten an election and suddenly the legislative agenda is crammed with draft laws that should have been there months ago.  Harper – just another Calgarian running another Ponzi scheme… promising big returns but producing nothing of value.  http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2009/09/15/white-collar-crime015.html , https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/14/transport-canada-stealing-taxpayers-money/

Also all of the  governments should now step in given the justified rising anti-competitive, anti monopoly sentiment nation wide, curbing their monopoly sectors from grabbing, gouging  exorbitant profits from the customers,  and preventing these monopoly sectors from taking advantage of their market position to overcharge consumers.  Encouraging real, valid competition, for example, is the ultimate way of breaking up monopolies. But the government some times instead  sticks to price controls or no controls to tackle the monopoly problem. The governments can deal  with monopolized interests only if it gathers adequate political will.

The marketing departments even of big three telecommunication firms providing internet and telephone services in Canada too : Bell , Rogers, Telus as well are still now clearly telling the  lies, spinning the truth, making typically past unkept promises  of the customer’s full satisfactions too, and  even now advertising at great costs, high costs that will be passed on the customers even,  all now done to try to win back many past lost unhappy customers, and to hopefully gain new customers, Being done basically because they are basically all UNWILLING TO FACE still OR to deal with THE ACTUAL REASONS MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE BECOME DISSATISFIED.

Every  company is guilty it seems to some extent of these sad, bad practices. No companies provide a FULL  service or an adequate  product it seems these days…. all they provide is profits for themselves hopefully. And as long as we allow them to do so, by letting companies and industries run roughshod over the governance of the country, then this will continue. Good Products and good services falsely are a distant second in offerings in relation to corporate profits.

The Canadian cellphone and internet speeds, rates among world’s worst, Canadians are being hosed for their access still too. A few years ago, Canada was ahead in the internet field. Then Bell and the CRTC sat back and let the world pass us by, while the Conservatives lacked the will, vision to notice, admit  this was even a problem.  Harper’s Conservatives, DO NOTHING! https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/07/07/crtc-farcical-hearings-on-internet-speed-control/

The same bad Liberals never learned to do things right and honestly the first time even.. allow their consultant sins to go on falsely. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/10/17/there-is-no-new-thing-under-the-sun/

Former Quebec lieutenant-governor Lise Thibault will face six criminal charges in connection with her expense accounts. Not surprised at all… they should audit every single expense claim by people in such positions. Most civil and public servants do it but some do it on a larger scale.

The Hypocritical New Conservatives in Canada

  poor

Public health officials seriously do claim that the coming flu season will see a surge of new cases of this bad bug and that now next millions will die. Many  people area already aware that they should wash their hands to avoid spreading the flu and need a reminder.. All the latest talk in the news media is about how Stephen Harper is spending five times more money, 34 million dollars and likely to his friends too,  promoting his infrastructure spending than on the public health campaign is also a  reminder people that Health Canada is already mailing out to various native communities body bags as well.  Many people rightfully do  think that more should be done to help the public avoid this terrible affliction but PM Stephen Harper as usual is  using his office to play political games instead of really looking  after the good welfare of us all. Doing now hypocritically in office what he in opposition bashed the others for doing too.  Unacceptable. Tell him I said so as well. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/04/27/swine-flu/  http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5huk4qnH3y79slEi3pu3ZxJtWn6Ug

OTTAWA — One in five of Canada’s households is so strapped for money they are often unable to participate meaningfully in the community around them, according to a new study. The study concluded those low-income households lack money for everything from sports, movies and other recreational activities to eyeglasses, dental care and high-speed Internet. “We live in one of the most affluent nations on the planet, but Canada’s poorest households are struggling to buy basic goods and services that most Canadians would consider reasonable for normal living in the 21st century,” said Steve Kerstetter, the report’s author. The study, released Thursday by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, used Statistics Canada figures from 2007 to explore spending patterns of Canadian households :

*Among the study’s findings:

– Thirty-four per cent of low-income households had high-speed Internet access, compared to 89 per cent of high-income households.

– Forty per cent of poor households had cellphones, compared to 85 per cent of wealthy households.

– Thirty-one per cent of poor households had pets, compared to 62 per cent of wealthy households.

– Spending on transportation was more than 15 times higher in high-income households than low-income ones, $17,366 compared to $1,074.

“This summer marked the third anniversary of the launch of the Universal Child Care Benefit – a plan that is providing direct financial assistance of $100 per month per child for all parents. Through the benefit, our Government is providing more than $2.5 billion each year to 1.5 million families, directly affecting the lives of 2 million young Canadian children. It has lifted approximately 22,000 families, with about 57,000 children, out of low income. We are also transferring $250 million per year to the provinces and territories to help support the creation of new child care spaces. Since 2007, many provinces and territories have announced plans for over 60,000 new spaces.  Not to mention Canada’s Economic Action Plan, which includes measures such as enhancing the Working Income Tax Benefit, increasing the National Child Benefit Supplement and the Canada Child Tax Benefit. Our priority is making sure parents have the resources they need to make important decisions for their families.”

Now if the same government would give $100 per month  to each adult living below the poverty line in Canada now too they would not appear to be so hypocritical and falsely discriminatory, guilty of partiality  to me too.

“the Right Honourable Prime Minister recently made new appointments to a variety of positions to a variety of governmental bodies, from the civil service to the senate.  At least 20 of the Civil Service/ Crown Corporation positions went to past/present Conservative Party members, supporters or promoters. The nine senators who were appointed by Mr. Harper were also past/present party supporters.  This is a practice Stephen Harper has been against in the past. He disapproved openly in the House of Commons with the Liberal patronage while he was the leader of the opposition, something I am sure he was proud of at the time. Thus, his recent actions can be fairly deemed hypocritical….  the Conservatives technically did win the October federal election. They won 143 seats in the House of Commons. However, the opposition parties won a combined 165 seats. This, in Canadian Parliamentary Tradition, results in a Minority Government. The Conservatives hold less than 50 per cent of the seats in parliament and, democratically speaking, do not represent “the will of the people”. If they did, they would have formed a Majority Government and hold over 50 per cent of the seats… No emphasis has been put on saving our manufacturing industry, no advanced planning of a new direction for the economy, and no real help for students…   Harper wants elected officials in the Senate, so why not put them there? Why not put nine of his elected MPs into Senate positions? this would be a way for Mr. Harper to stick to his ideals, instead of being a hypocrite and appointing nine patrons of his own party.    http://www.thebruns.ca/content/2009-09/patronage-name-democracy-revisited

Do you really expect Harpo & the CRAP intended for all that money to actually go to where it was needed??  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/24/libearals-infrastructure.html

Also the Harper government’s pick-and-choose approach to seeking clemency for Canadians facing the death penalty overseas brings the country’s legal system into disrepute and could backfire, the Canadian Bar Association declared  The federal government published its policy approach last month, saying it will seek clemency based on circumstances such as the nature of the crime and whether the host country is democratic and respects the rule of law. “The case-by-case approach invites arbitrary and discriminatory decisions, implying that the death penalty may be appropriate for some Canadians,” stated a resolution passed unanimously Sunday at the bar association’s annual meeting. http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/association+slams+Prime+Minister+Stephen+Harper+over+death+penalty/1900044/story.html

Up to a million dead, women with babies hacking other women with babies to death with machetes, blood flowing through the streets – a five-page memo from celebrated former diplomat Robert Fowler painted a startling picture of genocide following a trip to Rwanda in mid-May 1994.  Fowler was among a panel of experts who unveiled their “Will to Intervene” action plan in Ottawa urging: A new cabinet position to track and coordinate Canada’s efforts to ensure a more effective response to conflicts or atrocities in places like Sudan, Sri Lanka and Congo. A parliamentary committee to hear from front-line workers and advocacy groups and hold the government to account for its actions or oversights. A team of diplomats to act as Canada’s lookout in the world, crafting strategies to diffuse tensions or prevent them from escalating as they did in Rwanda.

EU own unacceptable hypocrisy..

800px-Eu_flag_svg

I rightfully do not support  visas for Mexico, or any others  or Canada’s Prime Minister’s Stephen Harper’s discrimination, false partiality for giving mainly the good jobs to his friends..   but I want all of you to know the EU own unacceptable hypocrisy..

EU could recommend retaliatory visas against Canada over Czech visa restrictions Mon Sep 21, 7:33 PM BRUSSELS, Belgium – The European Union’s top justice official warned Monday he will push for retaliatory measures against Canada if it does not take steps toward lifting travel restrictions on Czech citizens by the end of the year.

“Meanwhile in CALAIS, France — French authorities dismantled and bulldozed a camp for undocumented migrants outside this English Channel port on Tuesday, rounding up almost 300 Afghans, Pakistanis and others who had gathered there for years in the hope of making clandestine journeys across the 22 miles of water to Britain.

Starting at daybreak, hundreds of paramilitary officers scuffled with migrants and campaigners from a group called No Borders as the authorities closed down the camp, known as “the jungle” by migrants and Calais residents alike for its location among the thorn bushes and sand dunes of Calais.

Hours later, yellow earth movers began flattening the makeshift shelters used by hundreds of migrants seeking to sneak — or be smuggled by organized gangs of traffickers — across the channel to Britain, which is itself seeking to tighten border controls against unwanted migrants. Workers with chain saws moved in to cut down the brush that had hidden the area from view.

The camp, with huts and a mosque made of packing crates, blankets and tarpaulins, grew after the closing of a Red Cross shelter for migrants in nearby Sangatte in late 2002. The operation on Tuesday had been loudly signaled by the authorities, and many migrants — possibly 1,000, according to news reports — had slipped away before the raid.

With migrants outnumbered by 500 riot police officers, the half-hour operation began at 7:40 a.m.. Under the gaze of about 200 waiting journalists, police dragged or escorted away the mainly Afghan migrants who had gathered in silence under a banner written in Pashto and English declaring: “The jungle is our house, please don’t destroy it — if you do so then where is the place to go?”

Some were led away in tears.

The immigration minister, Eric Besson, defended the operation on RTL radio Tuesday. “This is not a humanitarian camp,” he said. “It’s a base for human traffickers.”

At a news conference in Calais, Mr. Besson said 276 people, including 135 teenagers, were arrested and their fate would be determined on a “case by case” basis.

French authorities say some migrants will return to their countries of origin, some will apply for asylum in France and some will be expelled to Greece, the country where most of them entered the European Union.

According to Pierre de Bousquet, the Pas de Calais prefect who directed Tuesday’s action, shelter has been made available for those migrants wishing to seek asylum, while minors will be taken to hostels for people under 18. Others will be held pending deportation.

Human rights bodies have urged Paris not to return migrants to Greece, but Mr. Besson declined to comment Tuesday on whether he had raised the issue with his Greek counterpart on a visit to the country on Friday.

Khaled Hadarhy, a 21-year-old Afghan, was rounded up along with two friends who were 16 and 17. “We are all young, but we look old because the jungle has made us old,” said Mr. Hadarhy, a former policeman from Helmand Province who has been in Calais for four months.

“The police will come and we will do what they tell us,” said Exel Palav, 20, from Afghanistan.

Pierre Henry, president of a campaign group called France Terre d’Asile, said Tuesday’s operation was an effort to make the migrants disappear “like a coin in a three-cup magic trick,” displacing them to neighboring Belgium or the Netherlands.

“The operation in Calais won’t stop departures from Kabul,” he said. “The smugglers will find other routes that are more complex and more dangerous.”

The move to eliminate the tents and ramshackle housing around the port is designed to halt migrants without papers from getting into Britain, and to crack down on the smuggling networks that assist them.

“Smugglers will not lay down the law,” the immigration minister, Mr. Besson, said last Wednesday. He first announced the plan to dismantle the camp in April, responding to complaints from local businesses.

The closure took place as European countries increasingly use force to crack down on unwanted migrants. On July 12, Greece eliminated a makeshift camp in the port city of Patras; in May, Italy struck a controversial accord with Libya allowing it to turn back migrants’ boats in the Mediterranean. The European Union estimates that 500,000 people cross its borders without papers each year.”  http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/23/world/europe/23france.html?em
