Recreational marijuana will officially become legal in Canada on Oct. 17, 2018, Majority of Americans oppose it.  Nearly 40 percent of Canadian adults—more than 11 millions people—intended to consume pot. Consumers of legal age (set at 19 everywhere except Quebec and Alberta, where it will be 18) will also be able to purchase legal weed online, but Canadians will face strict  regulations surrounding where they can consume the drug. Canada’s bill Bill C-45, also lets provinces entirely handle the distribution and sales of marijuana — up to letting provincial governments directly manage and staff all pot stores by themselves. Provinces will be able to impose tougher rules, such as raising the minimum age.

Growing pot at home in Manitoba,  Quebec  could land you a ticket from police,  it will be illegal under the prevailing provincial cannabis law.Quebec’s bill applying the law, Bill 157, does not permit it.“If your neighbour denounces you, you will get a ticket,”

Premier-designate Doug Ford, Ontario  Progressive Conservatives  says he will focus on selling in government-run stores and the province plans a ban on recreational pot consumption in public spaces and workplaces, allowing it only in private residences, though medical marijuana use will be permitted anywhere that cigarette smoking is allowed.  Pot remains illegal in Canada until the new law goes into effect in October.

Canada, like the US, is part of international drug treaties that explicitly ban legalizing marijuana.  Canada will be, in effect, in violation of international law  by legalizing marijuana. Canada, signed on to three major international drug policy treaties: the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961, the Convention on Psychotropic Drugs of 1971, and the United Nations Convention against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988. Combined, the treaties require participants to limit and even prohibit the possession, use, trade, and distribution of drugs outside of medical and scientific purposes, and work together to stop international drug trafficking. Canada could face diplomatic backlash by legalizing pot.

American border officials will start engaging in “extreme vetting” of Canadians “in relation to consumption of cannabis.” Canadian travelers will face heightened US border scrutiny and that they should expect to see more drug-sniffing dogs at high-traffic ports of entry post-legalization. .

Canadians Who’ve Used Pot Can Be Forever Barred From Entering the United States.  There has already been  an increasing number of Canadians being put on the inadmissibility list simply for admitting to past use. It’s illegal to cross the border with pot, even when entering into a state where the drug is now legal. Under the US federal immigration law, foreigners can be refused entry or even permanently barred from the States for attempting to enter with a controlled substance, for violating the drug laws of the US or any other country, and even for admitting to past drug use. Canadians on the no-entry list who want to visit the United States can apply for an inadmissibility waiver, but each waiver costs about $585 (US) and lasts one to five years, and so the process is a lifelong headache and a significant financial hurdle for the people who cross frequently for business, vacations, personal or family matters.

Americans also do feel U.S. relations have a better chance at improving in the year ahead with traditionally hostile nations such as North Korea and Russia than they do with allies such as Britain and Canada. More than half (52 per cent) of Canadian employers said they’re concerned or very concerned about the implications of legalized marijuana on the workplace, according to a report by the Conference Board of Canada.Among those concerned, 57 per cent cited workplace safety, followed by impairment or intoxication at work (39 per cent); increased use of the drug in and out of the workplace (21 per cent); testing for impairment (20 per cent); managing needs related to accommodation and disclosure (15 per cent); and the cost, including covering medical marijuana and other financial affects on the organization (15 per cent).

Canadian military also is concerned about the  cannabis use. Marijuana use raises safety and operational concerns.The military has restrictions on use of alcohol.   Alcohol has been banned on certain Canadian overseas missions, marijuana may face the same restrictions and marijuana restrictions could be similar and even wider ranging in some functions, such as pilots.

The Canadian Bill C-46, which was tabled at the same time as the main pot legislation, includes new powers for police and harsher penalties for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.The new law will strengthen the impaired driving laws to help better protect Canadians from alcohol and drug-impaired drivers.The police can require a roadside breath test for any driver. The crucial change is they will no longer need reasonable suspicion the person has been drinking. Drivers who refuse this test face a criminal charge with similar penalties to an impaired driving conviction. Canadian police officers can now use roadside screening devices that test saliva for the presence of cocaine, methamphetamine and THC, the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.Canada will now be setting a “per se” level for THC in the blood within two hours of driving, meaning police can lay an impaired driving charge based solely on the blood test results without needing to further prove impairment.The per se levels are set through regulations, not the legislation itself. The government has already proposed its levels, based on nanograms per millilitre of blood:

• A THC level between 2 and 5 ng would be a lower-level offence with a fine of up to $1000;
• A THC level above 5 ng would come with the same penalties as an alcohol-impaired driving conviction, including mandatory minimum penalties of a $1000 fine on a first offence, 30 days imprisonment on a second offence and 120 days imprisonment on a third offence;
• A mixture of a THC level above 2.5 ng and a blood alcohol concentration above 50 mg per 100 mL would have the same penalties as above.

The Provinces may add additional penalties on top of this.

Consuming even small amounts of cannabis shortly before driving could put someone over these limits. The government has said that  it is taking a “zero-tolerance” approach.

The Cost of substance use in Canada tops $38 billion, with booze and tobacco presently on top.with a staggering toll of 67,515 deaths. The study by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction and the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research, was based on health, justice, lost productivity and other costs. We do need to think more carefully as we move toward legalizing recreational cannabis. For the first time, service-issued mobile devices are being given to Toronto patrol officers in hopes of getting them out of their cruisers and back into the community. Until now, only some senior or specialized officers were equipped with cell phones. Many services still do not use cell phones, including the Ontario Provincial Police, and forces in London, and Durham and York region.

Generally poorly managed, clearly money hungry ,Toronto Police has Overburdened staff and  the transformational  changes the  has increased members’ stress and anxiety.  It seems Canada wide the police have the same complaint, they want more money.   All of the Police Officers  are generally, supposedly of exemplary service ?

Sgt. Jessica McInnis has an ongoing rights complaint against the Toronto police service board, police Chief Mark Saunders and specific officers, including her former police partner, Det. Mark Morris in a recent complaint to Ontario’s Human Rights Tribunal, complains of  Sexually explicit text messages and photos. Degrading remarks made in front of other officers. A “poisoned, sexist workplace environment.” The Toronto sergeant is  alleging she was sexually harassed by her former police partner is appealing to the union to pay her legal fees, anticipating a lengthy and pricey hearing at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.Sgt. Jessica McInnis, an officer with nearly 20 years with the Toronto Police Service. To support her claims that she worked in a “poisoned, sexist” environment, Sgt. Jessica McInnis handed over a trove of text messages and group chats to Toronto police’s professional standards unit last year.   She is being penalized this week, docked eight hours’ pay for participating in the chats and failing to report them sooner, according to her lawyer. McInnis also alleges there is a “general culture of sexism” within 14 Division, an environment that discourages women targeted by sexist behaviour from coming forward, and has implications for public complainants. Jessica McInnis was docked eight hours’ pay for participating in text messages that she used in a complaint to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario about a “poisoned, sexist workplace environment.”

The Toronto police professional standards unit is investigating after a 20-year veteran of the service allegedly became intoxicated while securing a home in which a dead body had been located.

Two Toronto police officers have been suspended after allegedly  consuming  marijuana seized during a dispensary raid.  A Toronto Police Services  spokesperson confirmed that two officers from the midtown 13 Division are being investigated by the force’s professional standards unit, but wouldn’t reveal further details.  These Two police officers in Toronto, Canada, have been suspended after allegedly eating marijuana edibles on duty and suffering so badly from its effects that they called for backup, on themselves.  Toronto cop Const. Vittorio Dominelli, already suspended for being high on the job is facing another investigation, this time for allegedly using a police cruiser and fellow officer to create a Bollywood-style short video while on-duty. “While we hear from Toronto Police Association that police are short-staffed due to new city protocols and that calls aren’t being responded to, we have Dominelli and his partner using police equipment and on police time, to film this Bollywood short movie,”   It was unprofessional to use the police vehicles and uniforms.

TORONTO – A disciplinary tribunal will weigh whether a Toronto police officer who had cocaine in his wallet should be demoted for a year and submitted to random drug tests.  Det.-Const. Kirk Blake pleaded guilty Monday to a misconduct charge under the Police Services Act.

A man whose swimming goggles were confiscated by officers following a search of his backpack on the eve of the turbulent G20 summit in Toronto in 2010 is expected to testify Monday at the start of a hearing into his lawsuit in this matter against the city’s police oversight board.  Luke Stewart, of Kitchener, Ont., argues police officers assaulted and wrongfully detained him, violating several of his constitutional rights. He wants Superior Court to award him $100,000 in damages. “The plaintiff was unlawfully detained for 12 minutes,” his claim asserts. “The officers acted with malice and bad faith.”

A  retired Calgary police detective is calling for greater oversight of the Calgary Police Service also  suggested a separate body should hold police leadership to account. Calgary Police Service,   has dealt with reports of bullying and sexual harassment throughout the last year. Calgarians need to start asking some tough questions and demand transparency from Calgary police leadership and from independent police organizations like the Calgary Police Association and Calgary Police Commission.

Toronto looks to photo radar to cut cop costs , Toronto s MAYOR  John Tory asks Wynne to bring back photo-radar to catch speeders..  Toronto’s request comes as municipalities across the province are trying to rein in ballooning police budgets. HOW ABSURD, CUT POLICE COSTS, LAY OFF MORE USELESS COPS..

Answer the  question: Does photo radar save lives? Does it reduce collisions and increase safety? Or  does photo radar provide a steady stream of income for the municipalities who use it? Initially, photo radar was always going to be used for school and construction zones.  The one answer  that is without question.  It makes money – lots and lots of money and it’s simply too easy for municipalities to get drunk with easy money..

The oppressive police enforcement of revenue generating speeding tickets enforcement is still  basically economically beneficial   to a very small, isolated segment of society, the related cops, judges, lawyers, and it is false  job security approach for them, stealing the taxpayers money, a false hidden tax. Speeding is not the major cause of car accidents, related deaths but Drunk driving, impaired, drive, road rage and texting are. Photo Radars do not address this as well. “Seriously, with all the crime and corruption rampant  is this the best that our police can do?”

The Calgary  police vehicles photographed with a speed on green camera or red light camera are reviewed separately. The Police driver of the vehicle then fills out a Driver Response Form, where they must justify their actions unlike ordinary citizens. Lying justifications can include a pursuit of a suspect as well or  responding to emergency calls. “Everyone will be working off the same playbook,” cops only not citizens. “So, there will be consistent accountability as well as standards of Police discipline.” in theory not in practice all police officers are subject to the criminal code when appropriate.  They  mostly get a Paid vacation and no criminal charges – and the outcome is always the same. It sure is good to be a cop these days, they get a good pay, they get away with everything including speeding and drunk driving. Lucky ducks.

Citizens are still calling for change in   local speed traps. I think over the years they have just tacked on additional fines, or put up red light cameras, or doing one thing or another to try and generate revenue for their city.  Cities falsely are using traffic citations to fund city government.  Some cities it’s upwards of 8% to 10% of their revenue instead of .5 percent  is generated by fines and fees.    Many cities   have used fines and fees to fund a large portion of their budget, police budgets included . Too many Police Department  even have an illegal quota system that requires  officers to write three traffic tickets per day and make at least one arrest every two days. A  quota encourages officers to ticket people regardless of whether motorists’ behaviour is actually endangering the public or could be corrected with a warning. Traffic fines affect the poor and are ineffective against those they are to be really targeting, the rich. Most   cops saw their fellow residents less as citizens to protect than as “potential offenders and sources of revenue.”  Causing  “breakdown of trust” between people, police, governments and courts.  Missouri cities can no longer treat their citizens like ATMs,  as the state’s governor signed a bill capping how much money local governments can collect from traffic tickets and fines.” For people who have lived in these communities that fear they are going to be pulled over and harassed because that city needs money, that’s going to change,”

While Automobile traffic accidents are the number one cause of death for Americans, Canadians  ages 3 to 33 and while Automobile traffic accidents are the most common source of personal injury the reality is that   SPEEDING NOT THE MAIN CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS,  What is then the cause of major car accidents? Calgary police officer Jeff Duggan has been charged with assault after an alleged on-duty fight at his ex-wife’s home. Duggan’s ex-wife reported the officer “verbally threatened to assault” her current boyfriend and “attempted to force his way into the home.” Police said the accused was in uniform at the time. Police have also charged Duggan with uttering threats and four counts of breach of probation.

“It’s worrying to learn the Calgary Police Service is a workplace marred by accusations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, bullying and intimidation. Society’s justice system depends on victims being confident they can report wrongdoing without repercussions, so it’s not acceptable that members of our police force believe they must remain silent. It is one thing to present an image of unity to the public, but it’s quite another to be afraid to call out colleagues for reprehensible behaviour.  The Calgary Police Service’s management and the Calgary Police Commission need to make reforming this toxic workplace environment their highest priority.”

David McQueen, 53, was suffering from depression, was killed  in an armed Calgary police standoff in northwest Calgary after police were called after shots were being fired indiscriminately from the home, including one that struck a Calgary Transit bus and nearly hit the driver.McQueen, who got around in a wheelchair after becoming paralyzed in a diving accident in the early 1990s, was deeply unhappy with the healthcare system, the police and the government, whom he blamed for not giving him the help he needed, which he detailed in his Facebook posts. So the police officers and 911 dispatchers will receive enhanced training on interacting with people in crisis, particularly those with mental illness

The Mental Health Police Advisory Committee was formed and is currently working on developing a “comprehensive, standardized police mental health training model for Alberta,” said provincial spokeswoman Lisa Shankaruk.That includes ensuring police officers’ mental health is a priority, developing a two-day training model where officers can receive training and resources from experts, and building relationships with partner agencies.  So the Police officers and 911 dispatchers will receive enhanced training on interacting with people in crisis, particularly those with mental illness .You are dumb if you think a two day course or a course will change any bad cop.. dismissal is rather needed.

According to the police anyone who does not respect the Police is a mental case too.

A Calgary police officer CPS constable Stephen Baker. who had a patrol rifle stolen from his car last year “will not be charged criminally in connection with the case,”  The officer went to a restaurant on Crowfoot Terrace N.W. and left the rifle in his personal vehicle inside a locked hard cover carrying case. Inside the case there were also two magazines containing 28 rounds each. He had been taking the rifle home  while off duty ,” The Calgary officer was in violation of the Police’s own rules…he had no business removing the gun from the station gets off scott free… The justice  finding reinforces the widely-held belief that police forces are FULL OF CORRUPTION and COVER UPS. but what else di did we expect? That’s it!….  The Police keep eroding the public confidence in police services with one law for the citizens , another for cops.  This case underscores the corruption of the Canadian legal system. Anyone else would have been criminally charged.

The Public remains generally skeptical about police investigating other police. Still an arm’s length investigation takes a step towards correcting the perception that there is a bias in favour of police in such investigations, all such investigations will have to be overseen by a civilian body, as recommended. We pay the police to handle all matters in a professional manner firstly.   And no more  . “No paid vacations”  for the cops awaiting trials..  All it takes for the bad guys to continue to do bad things is for the others wrongfully  to do nothing about it.

Canada wide the hiring of and the continued employment of bad police officers with records bearing patterns of even alleged violent misconduct, brutality, falsely signifies a high level of tolerance for corruption and brutality in the forces. These patterns tell you that you have bad orchards, not just a bad apple. A study by Quebec’s public health research institute (INSPQ) shows deaths related to clostridium difficile infections in 2010-2011 were the highest they’ve been since 2004. A total of 619 Quebecers died from C. difficile over the course of 2010 and 2011. And one death is always still one too many here too.. C. difficile is most often acquired in hospital, and  the disease is highly contagious.

Like most C. diff patients symptoms began with severe diarrhea as the  intestines were shutting down and the colon becomes swollen that it pushed pressure up to the lungs, making it difficult to breathe.  In serious cases a  fecal transplant can often be used successfully here..

C. diff is “a big concern. And  C. diff infection can also now strike individuals at any age. The use of certain antibiotics can further  allow C. diff to thrive  Most medical staff and even citizens do not yet know,m realize how serious the diseases, prblme is cause they have not even been told about any of it.  Too many People are thus now dying needlessly. Deaths and illnesses are much higher than those disclosed also  since the bad doctors on their death certificates,  often don’t list the infection when patients die from complications, C. diff ,   kidney failure. It’s unacceptable and outrageous that C. diff hovers at all-time highs and the barrier is often cover ups and hospital costs plus  unacceptable medical practices. The news media and studies show that emergency rooms, patients’ rooms, washrooms, operating rooms too still often aren’t cleaned sufficiently.

 In 2009, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services launched an “action plan” to reduce six high-priority Hopsital, seniors, old age homes infections, including C. diff. Infection rates for five of those have dropped significantly, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA but not  C. diff infections

.

In 2003 the  US Environmental Protection Agency, which regulates hospital disinfectants, learned that none of its approved products actually killed C. diff spores — though many claimed on their labels that they were effective against the bacteria so  the agency ordered manufacturers to remove the claims and began to identify new disinfectants that work.

.

Steps have already been taken in Canada in major hospitals to try to reduce C. Diff infections. Much more needs still to be done ti insure better quality medical care and patient safety. Nurses, doctors,  pharmacists , therapists that provide hands-on treatment, cleaning technicians  still all do  need to be out there and do much more to keep all rooms clean and  hospital infection rates down  The government should require all hospitals to mandatorily and not optional  report all C. diff cases.

They must also meet targets for reducing C. diff.. in hospitals, nursing homes and other care settings, 30% reduction per year, and there must  be a real penalty under Medicare and Medicaid for facilities that have allowed high C. diff rates. All nursing homes  hospitals must publically publicly report their rates of infections, qne include C. diff.

.

Standing in the way to reduce C. Diff infections still  are the false Hospital, old age homes concerns about the costs, staffing and the complexity of creating and implementing new procedures that require interdisciplinary teams to work together as even many homes,  Hospitals have cut housekeeping budgets in recent years, so many hospitals spend too little minutes cleaning all the rooms room.

As hospitals and nursing homes struggle with tight budgets and limited staffing, patient advocates say its critical that the public become more engaged in minimizing infection risks. Not all Hospitals don’t want to tell others,  patients the hospital  might be contaminated,” or to tell  the patients too the steps patients can take to minimize infection risks. Old age homes, Healthcare facilities  often lie, do not disclose the truth cause the “care about their reputation.”

Most hospitals still are slow to admit that they have infection related problems because admitting those problems, opens them up to lawsuits, and is admitting guilt prior to going to trial. It’s all about insurance (money) and lawyers. Things which should have nothing to do with keeping us healthy.

.

There is also limited tracking of antibiotics usages. In 2010, about 42% of infection control specialists nationwide said their facility had no antibiotic stewardship program, based on a survey by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology. Such programs typically track the use of antibiotics to ensure proper use, which can reduce opportunities for infection.

The challenge of reducing C. Diff is also now still needed in nursing homes, where antibiotics are prolific, staffing often is too  thin and it’s tougher to isolate patients.

.

“How to attack the problem.There’s no mystery to cutting C. diff rates. The spore-forming bacteria exists throughout the environment: water, soil, human and animal feces. It typically sickens people taking certain stomach medicines or antibiotics, which diminish healthy bacteria in the gut as they attack infections. When levels of healthy bacteria get low, C. diff can take over, producing toxins that cause intense diarrhea, often with grave complications.The germ thrives in settings where antibiotics are in wide use, and its proliferation has accelerated as a new, hyper-virulent strain has emerged over the past decade. C. diff spores spread through fecal contamination: They get on people’s hands, often from bathroom fixtures, and move to other surfaces by touch, from light switches to bed rails to tables and trays. The tough-to-kill spores resist many disinfectants and can survive for months. Once they’re on patients’ hands, it’s a short trip to their mouths — and their intestines.”

The challenge is twofold:

Control the use of antibiotics that allow C. diff to flourish,

and prevent the bacteria’s spread from infected patients via dirty hands, dirty rooms or dirty equipment.”

The British experience “has shown that substantial C. diff reductions are possible,” including changes in room-cleaning procedures, antibiotic controls and testing protocols for patients showing C. diff symptoms. 

.

Many other health care infections have been stemmed by ensuring that certain medical procedures are done properly. That the Catheter-related infections were eliminated by getting doctors to change protocols for installing the devices. Infections linked to surgical incisions and ventilators can be reduced by getting doctors and nurses to alter practices and  more staff are  needed.

.

Many US hospitals also  have confronted those challenges head-on:

“•In Cincinnati, The Jewish Hospital-Mercy Health slashed its high C. diff rate by half in less than a year by adopting stricter antibiotic controls and new room-cleaning protocols. The program costs the 209-bed hospital about $10,000 a year.

•In Pittsburgh, the 792-bed UPMC Presbyterian cut C. diff 71% from 2000 to 2006 with new cleaning protocols, better identification and isolation of infected patients, and antibiotic controls.

•In Oak Lawn, Ill., the 695-bed Advocate Christ Medical Center reduced C. diff cases 55% by retraining housekeepers, coordinating care with infection prevention specialists, and adopting new disinfection standards for high-touch areas.”

But if you’re having one case of any health care infections a year, that’s still a problem and all unacceptable.

OTTAWA – Federal procurement watchdog finds more evidence of rigged contracts. A federal watchdog is blowing the whistle again on a series of  cooked contracts. Frank Brunetta, the procurement ombudsman, says he found more evidence that  the Canada School of Public Service rigged contracts to make sure they went to  favoured suppliers.Today’s report looked into the way contracts were awarded to six  consultants, altogether worth more than a million dollars. The complaints to police include concern that Bonwick was hired to represent a local group looking to bring a slot machine facility to town. The citizens also complained that he worked for PowerStream, which last year successfully bought a 50 per cent stake in Collingwood’s public utility company Collus. In Canada, especially in Ontario and Ontario, we have  a very great undeniable, false problem of neglect in the treatment of older patients in the hospital and in old age homes’

Upon admission to the hospital you are requested to sign a form declaring whether you wish to be revived in case of emergency, or not. This document is called a D. N. R. or Do Not Resuscitate form. They give you two choices.

The first choice, you are told is to accept being kept alive as a living vegetable, completely insensane.  The second you are told is to let nature take its course. Then these utterly helpful people will even sign the form for you. All nice and neat.

However this is the biggest song and dance act to be put over the public since Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. What you are actually agreeing to is for the Hospital to totally neglect you or even pump you full of enough morphine to overdose a football stadium of people.

Our health care system and old age homes seems perpetuates the belief that a person who is over the age of sixty-five has somehow managed to reach their lifetime expiry date, a best before date if you will for people. And now that these old people are in the hospital using up resources and funds best reserved for younger people, now well you can’t really expect for the hospital to fix them back up, can you?

After all as far as many of the hospital staff is concerned this old person has managed somehow to have a long life already and that is enough of that now.

You really can’t be expecting the hospital staff to put themselves out and actually care for these old people, too, can you? I mean why give an older person in the hospital a blanket when you might have to wash it then, or food when that will just encourage him to stick around. And if they have anything close to a complex condition, well there is that neat little DNR now isn’t there? You don’t really have to work to fix up these people when that signature gives you an out for some very bad behavior indeed.

The problem with this whole attitude ( besides giving me nightmares of genocidal dictators) is that it completely negates the concept of ” best practice”. loving one another ,

Best practice is the long and firmly held belief that there is only ONE way to treat EVERYBODY. Not when you feel like it or just when you really want to or when someone gives you more money to behave better. Every time for everybody. Because when you start to slack or fail to preform, its just too easy to keep on giving less then your best.

If you take a gander at the rising medical malpractice deaths in hospital across the country and through the United States, you will soon realize that the concept of best practice has gone the way of the proverbial washed baby with the dirty bathwater.

Now Hospitals when they are being asked to put forward their best game have no best game left. Only the same sloppy seconds they choose to inflict upon older people. Not keeping sterile technique. Not caring for basic needs ( feeding washing having water and blankets for the bed available). Not being concerned about basic medical protocols.

.

For example twisting the patient while shifting them in bed even though the patient is suffering from a shattered pelvis which has not been casted ( because it is just too hard to do with those old bones, you see).
Then using drugs upon that patient which go against the  doctors and specialists orders for that patient, (because that’s the way the hospital usually does it). Such as give that broken bone patient blood thinners which absolutely stop any bone repair from being made( one of the functions of blood thinners are to stop the clotting process, bone healing is in itself a clotting process).   And then refusing to give the patient bone building vitamin supplements that the doctor has ordered under the reasoning of the staff that vitamins and minerals aren’t really a serious medicine and so it doesn’t matter whether or not it has been given.

Hospitals can get away with this heinous behavior because it mostly affects the older more vulnerable sections of our society.

You see hospitals understand that they can indulge themselves with this sort of ageist behavior because we the people are still watching that Fred and Ginger song and dance act that they bedazzled us with in the first place.

The ageist behavior of the hospitals has lead us to believe rightfully that when old people go into hospital there are automatically at risk of dying.

.

But this only comes to pass because of the hospitals actions or mainly bad in-actions. Not because of theme now being any more innate vulnerability in the average mature person then there is in a preteen child.  Both groups Children and Seniors still do need a certain amount of care taken. But older persons are given far less care over the children .

This behavior not only diminishes all of us, separating us from our true humanity, our beliefs in charity and that older adults are precious contributors to our own lives and not to be diminished by these vultures upon the vulnerable.”

What they do so many now do inflicts harm upon all of us seniors? It is a spreading epidemic of ill will cast out upon those who only seek to enjoy  their golden years without the machinations of their caretakers contributing to their  early exit. Or shall I be more plain spoken and say what it is indeed, an execution. At what cost do we allow this to happen?

The insurance company too are doubly hit by this, first with the hospital costs and then with the life policy payout.

The stores and service sectors that older people patronize lose out.  Real Estate suffers because that extra condo is never purchased.  Younger families looking for affordable housing cannot move into established neighborhoods because to make the most of the estate, it is sold to developers.   And those young people if they get sick can not count upon the care of the hospitals because the staff are too jaded with their good enough practices that they become unable to set right your average medical situation.  Not being able to do CPR. Not recognizing the signs of poisoning, heart attack drug toxicity or allergic reaction. They only move now upon the threat of being sued, and even that last resort of public outrage is hamstrung with government legislation. All in an attitude of don’t do what’s best, only protect your butt.

This whole situation is an attack directed at  the Zoomers age group. This D.N.R. nonsense has to be rewritten re-regulated and completely re-thoughtout. It only acts as a legal sop to cover the actual act of involuntary euthanasia upon our senior persons. This has built to the point where we must act if not for ourselves then for everything we hold dear.  Our families and our liberties are threatened by this madness.  Should we not take this task to hand one day it will be your children in the hospital facing these torturers, Facing their own unsought for demise. And then who will stand for them?”

What’s more, the bacteria can spread through surfaces like toilets, handles and bedpans, and hospital staff can spread it by not wearing gloves or washing their hands. It’s the most common cause of infectious diarrhea in hospitals, and one in 10 patients who get it will die, regardless of how sick they were beforehand. And according to the study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, it’s filling up already-crowded hospitals and draining the health-care system. A study by Quebec’s public health research institute (INSPQ) shows deaths related to clostridium difficile infections in 2010-2011 were the highest they’ve been since 2004. A total of 619 Quebecers died from C. difficile over the course of 2010 and 2011. And one death is always still one too many here too.. C. difficile is most often acquired in hospital, and  the disease is highly contagious. According to the study, the McGill Montreal General had the fourth-highest incidence rate of C. difficile infection in the period studied, with 15.4 cases per 10,000 patient days.  The McGill Jewish General Hospital was even harder hit over that time period, with 16.9 cases per 10,000 patient days. As I had here seen it firsthand.. It also pops up whenever a house cleaning isn’t rigorous. The causes are are well known. There is a false reluctance to prevent it’s spread by doing more active cleaning as it costs money to do this.

A rare criminal libel investigation was launched by the RCMP against a New Westminster resident this summer relate to alleged defamatory statements made online against a clearly bad, immoral RCMP officer mired in a scandal over sexually explicit photos and other wrong doings. The B.C. Civil Liberties Association,   together with media outlets is rightfully questioning why a criminal investigation was needed when defamation issues are normally handled through civil channels. The mostly self serving, money hungry police forces in Canada, for they are not serving the public’s best interest for sure , the politcal watchdogs rather, they have  seem to often to have hired thugs, alcoholics, incompetents, even for their managers and so they too often tend to do a real bad job, even  in my experiences as well, and also yes  they realy are also too often cost ineffective as well as we saw in their operation of the gun registry even, and they are too often discriminatory, even racists, and if you make such negative remarks openly to them the police will tend next to try to intimidate you by trying to force you to shut up, or threatening to close your mouth for you, or threatening to lay a criminal charge against you, or by the unlawful use of their authority. I know this firsthand for they had visited my home least 6 times in objection to my public computer posts, they do not have to visit my home as all I write about them is openly found in federal and provincial cabinet minster’s offices, on the net, and in the Canadian news media departments.. and when they first do say they want to talk to me I openly do tell them I will insist that the news media be present at any and all such discussions, and they readily leave me alone. Yes I am no fan of even one abusive cop and I do not accept any of their abuses rightfully quietly.

 In regard to the   mostly self serving, money hungry police forces in Canada, this is not an isolated fact.. the police are very materialistic in my own direct conversation with them now too.. and seek often means to get rich, legal or otherwise..  and we hear many examples of this on the news.. The “Niagara Regional Police are investigating a few of their own officers for smuggling cheese into Canada.. The alleged scam involves jamming cases of “brick” cheese — used as a common pizza topping — into their vehicles to smuggle across the border. With U.S. cheese being as little as a third the price it is in Canada, drivers are making $1,000 to $2,000 a trip, according to numerous sources…  Canada Border Services Agency officials say anyone — officer or civilian — caught smuggling large shipments of cheese into Canada would be in violation of the Customs Act for failing to declare, and pay duties on, the controlled goods…   As well, CBSA says it would be a violation for failing to have proper permits and licences from both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade… The accused officers either face police act charges (internal discipline) for either discreditable conduct or neglect of duty or Criminal Code charges of breach of trust if any were found to have intentionally plotted to avoid customs and duties ….   charges are expected soon against a few officers who are alleged to have been involved in the movement of caseloads of cheese from the U.S. to sell to Canadian pizzerias and restaurants…  The cheese-smuggling investigation stems from information gathered from a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) arrest in April of Niagara Regional Police Service Const. Geoffrey Purdie in Buffalo on charges of conspiracy to smuggle more than half a million dollars in anabolic steroids and other drugs into Canada. Jeff McGuire, Niagara’s new police chief, has  only confirmed the suspension of Const. A southern Ontario police force has charged one current and one former officer in a “large-scale” scheme to smuggle cheese and other food items into Canada. Niagara Regional Police say cases of cheese and other foods were purchased in the U.S. and smuggled into Canada, without declaring the items or paying duty.The items were then prepared for distribution to restaurants in southern Ontario. Police say the investigation revealed over $200,000 worth of cheese and other products were purchased and distributed for an estimated profit of more than $165,000. Niagara police Const. Scott Heron, 39, faces charges that include conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, false or deceptive statements, and acquiring or disposing of illegally imported goods.Police say Casey Langelaan, 48, who was a police officer at the time of the alleged offences, faces counts that include conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and various Customs Act charges including smuggling.A third man, Bernie Pollino, 44, faces similar charges to Heron and Langelaan. All three suspects are from Fort Erie, Ont. Niagara chief Jeffrey McGuire suspended Heron and Langelaan from duty on July 26 in accordance with the Police Services Act.

1 Now  a person from Ontario complained to me directly that an insurance for an older car is significantly , significantly much higher, exponentially higher,  in Ontario over that for the same car in Quebec? Now why is that?  is the government of Ontario trying to help Ontario citizens or rip them off?

2 In regard to our too often 2 tiered justice systems I already know how crooked the police rather are too often even in Ontario, and even the  municipalities now undeniably are as well, both falsely living high on the hog, with their  ridiculous overtime and absurd expense account approvals, plus questionable purchasing practices…  and also their inacceptable abuses of the ordinarily citizens wrongfully, while wrongfully few cops ever get arrested for speeding or drunk driving now too.

Doctors, nurses falling short on hand hygiene, report says Nearly one third of hospital workers in British Columbia are not washing their hands regularly, despite strong evidence that it is one of the primary ways to prevent the spread of infection in hospitals.

Contracting the superbug C. difficile in the hospital increases a patient’s stay by an average of six days, putting serious financial strain on Canada’s health-care system, a new study shows. Never mind the fact it kills a lot of people

C. difficile is a bacteria found in feces that causes severe diarrhea. It’s extremely common in hospitals because people usually contract it after taking antibiotics, which can kill good bowel bacteria and allow C. difficile to grow. What’s more, the bacteria can spread through surfaces like toilets, handles and bedpans, and hospital staff can spread it by not wearing gloves or washing their hands. It’s the most common cause of infectious diarrhea in hospitals, and one in 10 patients who get it will die, regardless of how sick they were beforehand. And according to the study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal, it’s filling up already-crowded hospitals and draining the health-care system. What has now oftem amazed me is that I have often met not only immoral professionals, bad civil and public servants but visible crooks who would regulary attend a church now too and for whatever reason.. Crooks are all around us and they do need to be stopped.

Follow the money trail and you will get to a supposedly another previously unseen big iceberg of lies, thefts, deception.. the vices are all much more common over what we are lead to believe clearly as well.. for too many people do often steal to get richer by any means they can.. even executives, business persons, corporations, professionals and housewives it seems.. and the civil and public servants, politicians are not excluded here.

No such thing as a little bit pregnant when it comes to taxpayers money abuses now as well..

Civilians should probe police shootings: activists Montreal Gazette – MONTREAL – Police shootings in Quebec should be investigated by a review board composed entirely of civilians, say Quebec’s Ligue des droits et libertés and an organization that protects the rights of the homeless.The call for an end to one police force being assigned to probe shootings committed by another comes four months after a homeless man and passerby were fatally shot by Montreal police in a failed attempt to subdue the former. Ligue co-ordinator Nicole Filion said that while Public Security Minister Robert Dutil was open to changing the present system of investigating police shootings, the suggestion that a review board include police and civilians was off the mark. Filion argued that lawyers could serve on the board and not be a part of “the blue brotherhood.” “It could be (staffed by) lawyers … but civilians could also be trained. If police can be trained to conduct investigations, civilians can, as well.” The Sûreté du Québec investigated the shooting. Its findings were turned over to the province’s bureau of criminal prosecutions two weeks ago and are being studied to determine whether charges are warranted.

Quebec ex-family minister charged with fraud‎., the former family minister in Premier Jean Charest’s Quebec cabinet, The Montreal-area legislator who was the most scandal-prone minister in Charest’s scandal-plagued government, has been slapped with three criminal charges in the latest ethics embarrassment to befall the government. Tony Tomassi faces charges of fraud and breach of trust. They stem from accusations that he accepted material rewards from a company that had received government money. Last year, he was forced to resign amid accusations that he had been using a credit card supplied to him by a private security firm — a firm that had received millions in government grants. In the weeks before his departure, Tomassi had also been battered with allegations of cronyism in the awarding of contracts for public day-care permits. The charges against Tomassi stemmed from the work of that provincial anti-corruption unit,
