The Winnipeg Free Press wrote falsely ” Duffy incorrectly declared his main residence to be his Prince Edward Island summer home, so he could claim living expenses for the Ottawa home that was, in reality, his principal abode for decades. Canadians have a right to be furious about this” This was not an mistake, mere incorrection.. that was a blatant criminal lie.. Brazeau, Duffy and Wallin I guess their journalistic integrity was left at the door when they entered the senate, if they ever had any. “How can someone like Mike Duffy not know the difference between his primary residence (which everyone knows is in Ottawa) and a summer cottage on the PEI Island. No one and I do mean no one from the PMO’s office or the Senate made them put in faults claims for travel or housing allowance, only greed on their part. Did the PMO’s office and others screw up by trying to help Duffy, yes but trying to help some means that person made an error and in this case both of them have committed theft from the Canadian tax payers. Did the PM cause this scandal, no, The part of this story that cuts me to the bone is the fact that both of them are blaming everyone else instead of standing up and saying I made a big mistake and tell the people of Canada that they are sorry taking the blame and the lumps for their action. NO, they keep saying I did nothing wrong and others are to blame. If others are to blame why did they pay the money back and I would like to ask, what other’s are at fault for their greed? ” AS for Pamela’s so-called mistakes?’ How can someone mistakenly charge expenses based on somewhere they don’t even live? This is a criminal act not an oversight, mistake.. it seems they’ve both lost the average person’s decency in their calloused indifference to how much money they can take away out of hard working taxypayers’ money. As for pleading ignorance, I this us bit a valid defense for any wrong doing in the eyes of the law. Keeping them on the payroll is a gross injustice to the public they were supposed to be serving.

Now there are 105 seats in the Senate out of which 6 are vacant. Of 99 occupied 3 + 1 senators do not understand the Upper House rules about what they can claim and what they can not claim as a legitimate expense. That still leaves 95 senators who do understand the rules, and what one would try to believe, they do abide by them. Not a bad percentage. And get rid of the rotten apples ASAP! And It was not PM Stephen Harper caught now cheating the system and stealing tax payers money, it was those 3 senators.

The Canadian Constitution Act demanded two things of any eligible Senator: Not just that he own property in the province he represents, but that he “be resident” there. Clearly, then, no one can consider a deed alone to Mr. Duffy’s oft-deserted cottage on Prince Edward Island sufficient to allow him any tax payer’s benefits.. And the obvious expectation is that a senator would not fleece the taxpayers by claiming a housing allowance for a primary residence, that’s because the expectation is that any decent, moral senator would understand that such a claim would be underhanded, unethical and shameless.

It is ironic that Prime Minister Stephen Harper well known for his own past dislike of the sensate and it’s members next appointed some of the worst senators himself.. Wallin is being investigated by the RCMP .

Harper appointed Duffy to the Senate in late 2008, despite the fact Duffy had lived in the Ottawa area for decades. Duffy was a well-known former TV broadcaster who went on to be featured prominently at Conservative events and in promotional materials. Prime Minister Stephen Harper distanced his party from Sen. Pamela Wallin — who was once a top Conservative fundraiser — after the RCMP alleged in court documents that she defrauded taxpayers for at least one partisan fundraiser.

Court documents made public showed one of the 150 expense claims that caught the RCMP’s attention included a trip to Burlington, Ont., on Sept. 16, 2010, for an event for Conservative MP Mike Wallace. When asked by Deloitte auditors whether it was a fundraiser, Wallin allegedly replied that “she assumed ‘people paid for dinner,’” RCMP Cpl. Rudy Exantus wrote in the court documents, adding that the event was a fundraiser to “amass funds for the next election.” The RCMP allege this claim, along with 24 others, are evidence of fraud and breach of trust. The RCMP alleged Wallin charged the Senate for travel related to her work on the board of directors for Porter Airlines and wealth management firm Gluskin Sheff & Associates. The Mounties also allege that on some trips to Toronto, Wallin took care of her personal affairs, pointing to notes in her calendar for medical and dental appointments, birthday parties, a book launch, hair appointments, dry cleaning, and “picking up candle holders.” The RCMP also alleged that Wallin “misrepresented” some of her events to Deloitte auditors. In once case, Wallin told auditors she met with Barrick Gold founder Peter Munk in March 2010. Munk told the RCMP he was in Switzerland at the time. “Upon discovering that (Wallin’s expenses) were not proper and correct, this party has taken the appropriate action,” Harper said. “Ms. Wallin has not been a member of this caucus for two years and she is going to face full accountability for her actions.” Wallin remains suspended without pay from the Senate, and was booted from the Conservative caucus in May 2013, one day after Sen. Pamela Wallin, like Duffy, is a former TV host and compelling speaker who used to be paid handsomely to speak in public and living high on the hog. Continued to do so falsely in the senate.. And Pamela Wallin herself now has judged and falsely accused former Conservative colleagues of co-ordinating leaks to media of personal information to force her out of the party and the Senate. So why cannot others judge her too?? What has these people going clearly is their false love of money.. what it can buy for them.. Sen. Pamela Wallin accused next two Senate colleagues Sen. Marjory LeBreton, former government leader in the Senate, and Sen. Carolyn Stewart Olsen of having “personal vendettas” against her, and says that a motion to suspend her from the upper chamber without pay is “baseless and premature.” What false diversion by the person who cannot face her own negative realities, as she had abused the taxpayer’s money many, many times undeniably.. LeBreton immediately rose on a point of order to deny the allegations, also saying “nothing could be further from the truth.”

Hey I saw for over 40 years 2 separate persons continually steal, commit thefts.. and just cause they were never actually convicted by a court of law did not mean they did not steal. Now when I confronted these persons many times about their stealing, they denied it.. they lied.. now the problem about these ostriches in false denial, about their lying is that they had next started to believe their own lies, you become now a mental, a basket case.. even if you are a Senator now too.There is a real absurd argument now being presented by many that a boss, employer cannot fire a bad employee with a criminal charge, conviction first made by the courts.. In the real world employees get fired all the time without the courts.. The senate can fire these bad persons now on behalf of the citizens without the courts.
Here is more visible absurdity… Some now falsely say that Senate needs to clarify its rules before punishing senators: Wallin .. now almost all of the Senators had, have no problems being honest, not living on the hog but a handful do and they need more specific rules.. well tell them to review the ten commandments,,

This current Senate court involving Pamela Wallin, Mike Duffy, Patrick Brazeau is not the false diversion of the non ethical leadership by the Prime Minister Stephen Harper who directly appointed these three individuals even if for purely partisan reasons. they these now hired to be matured persons but now mere ostriches who falsely cannot face negative realities about themselves .. they are still personally accountable for their own bad actions, misuses of the citizens money, living high on the hog, cover ups and a false denials included.. no matter who or why someone appointed them.. This issue is not the undeniable specific breach the rule of law — to be falsely be determined solely by a legal judicial process. The real issue is their own bad actions still.. . which now was never a real matter of contention.
