Federal Consumer protection? Ha ha ha

 CP

Buyer beware: No laws dictate inspection frequency There are no laws in Canada dictating how often gas pumps must be checked for accuracy, and the government agency that does the inspections is doing fewer every year. http://www2.canada.com/ottawacitizen/features/hosedatthepumps/index.html

Canadian cellphone firms get failing grade  CBC.ca –  Canada’s cellphone companies have racked up close to 2500 complaints in 36 months, earning them all a failing grade from the Better Business Bureau. “An F? You’re being too kind. How about probation and if you’re grades don’t improve you are out.”  The wireless providers are trying to maintain a 40% profit margin on their expenditures. this is not acceptable for a service that is an essential communication. They have the worst networks and the highest rates in the world, THE SAME GOES FOR INTERNET SERVICE! “The terms can change at any time if you’re on a contract as well! Bell and Rogers have both raised prices, added fees, and modified service while I was on a long-term contract. “

The governments promise consumer protection, they have a department for it as well, they  take tax dollars for this service too, but it still is mostly a pretentious, unenforced  department that cops out with “buyers beware” and we need more such liars, abusers now too?

Many many people who use computers heavily now are upset, not the politicians though and why is that? Many people are upset that there email has slowed down, their downloads have also slowed down, but not most of the politicians now and why is that still too? They mostly still don’t use the computer, all they care about wrongfully is their money, their income it seems. They the politicians tell you they care about you only at election time and in reality really act like they do not give a dam about you the rest of the time. That is why this post is so popular  cause it tells the whole truth to all.

Ottawa killed cellphone cost calculator. A well-known challenge faced by millions of Canadians as they sort through a myriad of cellphone pricing plans in a marketplace still lacking in robust competition.  Industry Canada officials identified the same problem and worked for years to develop an online tool to address it. After spending tens of thousands of dollars creating and testing an online calculator designed to help consumers select their ideal wireless plan, Industry Minister Tony Clement killed the project weeks before it was scheduled to launch.”

“No surprise to Ontario readers……to hear that Tony Clement killed off a program meant to help consumers and that he kowtowed to big business (read: friends and contributors) to do it. His history as an MPP and now MP hardly suggest otherwise. Meanwhile, there is no ‘competition’ between wireless providers, only collusion, so any effort to make the labyrinth of Plans open and more understandable (especially in an industry that otherwise neither the government or CRTC say they wish to govern) would have seemed a noble effort by Industry Canada. ” ” Tony Clement is not for us… This fellow is definitely not a consumer advocate and to make it quite blunt – he is not for our welfare. We the people need a government which encourages completion and one which tries to hide the oligopolies which really don’t re-invest much into Canada, unlike the US. Perhaps a massive shakeup of our government infrastructure and the ministries is badly needed. We want a complete cleanup from top to bottom ”  ” I think we need a complete public audit of exactly where all of our tax money is actually be spent!”

” The duopoly of Bell-Solo-Telus and Rogers-Fido are hiding real costs behind marketing double-speak, and its the lack of competition that is to blame. You know the “Nutrition Facts” on every food item? We need one for cell phones that tells us the access fee, long distance rates, text charges, etc. ” “It’s not just cell phones. It’s cable, internet, phone and long distance plans, dishwashers and other appliances, cars, hydro, banks, investment opportunities. In short, it’s life in a capitalist society. It’s not so much that we have too much choice; it’s that we have too much ‘structured’ choice (Rogers calls them bundles) wherein you can never get what want, much less what you need:”

Conservative government bows to the wishes of large corporations and ignore consumer protection.” ” Tony Clement, He is protecting the providers of these services, their monopoly and their profits. Never mind the Consumer whom the Office of Consumer Affairs was set up to help. ” ”    government is pro-business. And no matter who we vote for, that will remain the same. How many of our government officials actually read our comments. One question, what does ‘lobbying’ actual entails?”

” Tony Clement ….no doubt the Minister’s seats at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and the Bell Centre in Montreal are assured.”

Quebec to end automatic cellphone contract renewals, surprise fees CBC.ca –  The Quebec government has tabled legislation to better protect consumers in the province when they sign cellphone contracts. Justice Minister Kathleen Weil said laws aimed at protecting cellphone users were written in the early 1970s and don’t address current consumer habits. She said Bill 60, introduced Tuesday, would revise outdated rules. There can be “very onerous penalty fees” to pull out of a contract once a service provider automatically renews it — usually for a period lasting three years, Weil said. The bill would prohibit the renewal of cellphone contracts without a customer’s written approval, she said.  It would also force merchants to disclose the total cost of the goods and services offered, a move Weil said should prevent customers from being caught off guard by hefty fees for services they don’t want, such as text messaging. In addition, companies won’t be able to suddenly increase fees during the life of the contract. “Consumers often don’t understand everything that they have agreed to when they’ve signed that contract,” the minister said. “The contracts are a little vague, and there are services that are added over time without their knowledge and without their consent.” “The first thing that [merchants] do is offer you a free cellphone, and it’s sort of the lure that gets you into that relationship,” Weil told reporters. Merchants will have to explain existing warranty protection Weil said the new law would make it illegal for merchants to sell extended warranties before telling customers what the manufacturer already offers for warranty protection. It would also put an end to expiry dates on prepaid cellphone gift cards. The minister said the bill, amending the province’s Consumer Protection Act, would correct an imbalance in an evolving industry. “In consumer protection you often have an imbalance that happens over time and in the whole field of telecommunications. There is not a jurisdiction in North America that hasn’t noticed this imbalance.” Michel Arnold, head of the non-profit consumer rights group Option consommateurs, said Quebec is the first jurisdiction in the country to introduce this kind of consumer protection. Weil said officials in the province receive nearly 700 formal complaints about cellphone contracts each year — about 10 per cent of all consumer complaints — as well as thousands of inquiries. Bill 60 is expected to be adopted before the end of the year.

“Oh this is so ugly. The Liberals in Ontario have not only lost control of the various agencies they are supposed to police, they have all but ignored said agencies lack of ethics and the abuse which has ensued. Why can the top brass from eHealth Ontario not appear before a legislative committee? Do you suppose they might “spill the beans” to save their skins? Please tell me this waste of my money is going to end soon.” http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2009/09/08/ehealth-committee-probe-blocked.html

McGuinty says 23 Ont. agencies, boards can no longer approve their own expenses  TORONTO – Top brass at Ontario’s 600 arm’s-length agencies, boards and commissions had better lead by example when it comes to spending taxpayers’ money or they’ll be fired just like the CEO of the Lottery and Gaming Corp. was, Premier Dalton McGuinty warned Tuesday.

mcguinty says Ont. agencies, boards can no longer approve their …  own expenses  TORONTO – Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty says new accountability measures will help avoid more spending and expense abuse scandals in government-funded agencies and corporations. Agencies, boards and commissions will have to submit their expense claims to the province’s integrity commissioner for approval, the same practice currently in place for political staff. ( what about all of Ontario’s civil and public servants now too?)

• We’ll root out government abuse: Liberals Hamilton Spectator

And why did it take so long to investigate and take action when this was brought out before in the past?

The “culture of entitlement” at the lottery corporation appears to be a deep-rooted problem that will not be solved by the new procedures put in place by Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty, said Kevin Gaudet, federal director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

Under the new Ontario Government rules revealed this month , employees with unacceptable expense claims such as alcohol for staff functions and personal items must repay the taxpayers. McGuinty’s move follows the revelations employees at Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp expensed items such as a $3,713.77 dinner for 38 people that included more than 10 bottles of wine and other alcohol. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.’s 10 highest-paid employees expensed at least $2,533 on alcohol between January, 2007, and December, 2008. A sales and marketing meeting at the Keg resulted in a $260 liquor tab; 38 people at a pre- Sound of Music business dinner drank $885 worth of alcoholic beverages. Any hospitality event at which alcohol was served would have to receive prior approval. The same provincial public-service rules also require written approval before all out-of-province travel, rarely evident in the documents the province made public this week. It all now still reveals a culture of acceptability that is inappropriate in a recession and in any Crown environment. The past provincial directive, which has been in place since 2004, states that “reimbursement of meal costs must not include the reimbursement for any alcoholic beverages.” The Ontario Liberals have also ordered a review of the 600 provincial agencies, boards and commissions to root out spending abuses. New Democrat Leader Andrea Horwath said the added layer of scrutiny doesn’t assuage concerns about widespread illicit spending among government agencies. NOW WHAT ABOUT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT?

Ontario’s finance minister has fired the head of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and accepted the resignations of the entire board of directors in an attempt to head off another scandal. Dwight Duncan told a news conference at Queen’s Park on Monday that he was “taking action to ensure protection of taxpayers money.” Duncan said there had been problems with expenses and they represented “symptoms of much larger problems” at the OLG. The corporation’s CEO, Kelly McDougald, was fired “for cause,” said the minister. The entire six-member board stepped down.

” Any   wonder why people are so cynical towards their government and don’t vote. The sense of entitlement must end.”  ”  Finance Minister Dwight Duncan.. after HST & OLG  I hereby accept your resignation effective immediately!! ”   ” Audit the entire government staff… I’m sure we cut some of the bloat out for the better of all of Canada!”  ”  Sadly, the degree of complacency in the current government borders on complete incompetence.  To rush around suddenly sounding the alarm that there has been mismanagement in another crown operation, and then to try to claim that only a good government could catch such behaviours, when it is this same government that has completely missed the issues in the first place, is shocking.  McGuinty and most of his team are just not showing much value ” http://www.cbc.ca/canada/toronto/story/2009/08/31/olg-shakeup.html

Ontario cleans house at lottery and gaming corp., firing CEO, replacing board   TORONTO – Ontario’s problem-plagued lottery and gaming corporation was overhauled Monday as the province’s finance minister fired its CEO and replaced the entire board of directors.  The auditor general was also brought in to review questionable spending at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., which included one executive charging taxpayers almost $500 for a nanny.  “This is the right (step) to take in terms of the public, and across government we need to make sure that we have rigorous accountability for all Crown agencies, boards and corporations,” said Finance Minister Dwight Duncan.  “We have been trying to create change in this place for some time. Frankly, I’m not satisfied with performance to date at OLG.”  CEO Kelly McDougald was “dismissed with cause” and, as a result, will not receive severance, Duncan said.  The move comes after the government found questionable expense claims filed by executives going back years.  It’s the second Ontario government agency to get a major overhaul in the last few months. eHealth Ontario CEO Sarah Kramer and board chairman Dr. Alan Hudson left the troubled agency following shocking spending excesses by consultants and executives.  Opposition parties say the government is trying to avoid another political embarrassment in the wake of eHealth and before voters head to the polls in a Sept. 17 byelection.  The OLG has been dogged by troubles over the last few years, from questionable insider wins to botched scratch-and-win tickets and malfunctioning slot machines.  Duncan’s announcement pre-empts a deadline set by the Ontario ombudsman for the OLG to crack down on insider wins.  Ombudsman Andre Marin had given the agency until early September to report back to him about cleaning up its act.  Unless the OLG could show him that “rampant fraud” was purged from the system, Marin said he was prepared to press the government to ban all retailers and lottery insiders from playing. He imposed the deadline after a sweeping forensic audit in February revealed lottery insiders in Ontario won prizes totalling $198 million over the past 13 years.  At the time, Marin said he was stunned by the “astronomical” sum revealed by the audit and that the OLG still had a problem with dishonest lottery insiders that must be addressed.  The agency has been trying to rebuild consumer confidence and enhance security since Marin’s 2007 report accused unscrupulous retailers of collecting tens of millions of dollars in “dishonest” winnings – and the lottery corporation of letting them get away with it.  All insider wins have been directly investigated by the police branch of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario since Jan. 1, 2008, and they have since laid several charges. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090831/national/olg_shakeup

and it does not stop there it is clear that Lotto 649 is also too often crooked, the draw results clearly rigged using consecutive numbers and other means  to try to build up a larger  jackpot where more people tend to buy tickets. This too has to be dealt  with now.

Now do also deal with the bad cops too.

“It is a weird feeling when those employed to protect us are in fact found to be a part of the problem. I understand that these people are only a small percentage of the thousands of first class men and women who make up the force however it does shake the foundation of our beliefs. ”  “Wasn’t Julian Fantino AKA Mr Accountability supposed to weed out the crooked cops with this special task force?”  ”  It is becoming more and more apparent that police officers are ” Above the Law”  RCMP officers getting away with murder, Local police getting away with theft, etc… Police cars speeding down public roads, without emergency lights on. If you or I were to crack 70 in a 50 zone, you can be sure we would get a ticket, but police are free to drive at that speed. How are we supposed to, in good faith, teach our children to trust police officers? ”  ” The real irony is that any Police force in Quebec finds the Toronto cops crooked! Wow… and then nothing is done about it. ” ” The propensity of police to cover-up and deny when their own are involved does not feel me with a great deal of confidence in the police. Apart from the mentioned corruption above, I have met too many bullies in uniform as well as a bad “us vs them” attitude. Locally, we have at 2 officers that I am aware of who were charged with domestic violence and threatening. The selection process needs to be reviews – especially for mental health. It is ironic someone should mention this drug quad issue happened while Julian Fantino was Toronto chief (Metro Toronto at the time). Under Fantino an OPP officer was caught trumping up charges against drivers to convictions under the new stunt-driving law. The bottom line is – I just do not trust the honesty of the police. The older I get and the more I see, the stronger my mistrust becomes.”  ” It seems power again, corrupts even if you are one of the ‘sacred policemen’.  I guess it’s not just the RCMP who’ve had the rot and festering infection of greed and power infiltrate their ranks. ”      http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/08/31/toronto-police-drug-squad-montreal582.html

“Ex-Ontario attorney general in custody after fatal crash Ottawa Citizen TORONTO — Former Ontario attorney general Michael Bryant was in police custody Tuesday morning following a fatal crash between a car and a cyclist that left a 33-year-old man dead. Bryant was detained after the crash Monday evening and was under investigation in connection with the incident, a police source confirmed. The cyclist, a downtown Toronto man, died in hospital late Monday night from injuries sustained after hanging on to the side of a convertible for about 100 metres before falling to the street. Police said the car and the cyclist had initially collided. Traffic Services Const. Hugh Smith said the altercation began at about 9:45 p.m., near the corner of Church and Bloor streets and carried on west to Avenue Road. “There was some verbal altercation and there was some minor contact,” said Smith. “At some point the cyclist became attached to the vehicle without his bicycle.”  Police say they have reviewed a number of independent videos shot, as well as footage from at least two security cameras that place the victim and suspect together. “Apparently it was viewed by many witnesses,” said Smith. Traffic Services Sgt.  Charges have not been laid. Bryant, 43, resigned from his Toronto MPP seat in June while serving as minister for economic development and joined Invest Toronto — an arms-length agency aimed at marketing the city as an attractive place for business and industry to set up shop or expand. “http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Ontario+Bryant+arrested/1950461/story.html

Police source tells The Globe and Mail’s Timothy Appleby that Mr. Bryant will face charges of criminal negligence causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death. Those charges will keep the file in the hands of Traffic Services.  • 9:36 a.m.: Mayor David Miller, whose city-run Invest Toronto is led by Mr. Bryant, releases a brief statement but doesn’t name names.

“when will mayor get seroius with aggressive drivers and cyclists? ” Toronto mayor refuses comment on Bryant

Toronto police said Tuesday that a “magnitude” of charges were being considered following an apparent altercation that left a cyclist dead and a former high-profile Ontario cabinet minister reportedly in custody…. some witnesses also said the driver appeared to try to remove the cyclist by brushing up against trees and poles.

A combination of scant bike lanes and the high adrenalin of bike riders as they brave heavy traffic makes cities such as Toronto prime for confrontations between motorists and cyclists.

was alcohol now involved as well?  was a police breath analyzer used, after all he  Mr. Bryant just came from a night club?

and what about  Mr. Bryant too?  An illustration of what can happen when tempers escalate beyond the point of reason? Some say Take a brief moment to consider these events to determine what you will do if faced with a similar circumstance. Yes but what about a supposedly mature persons who has even been  a justice Minister. who clearly should have known much better and lead a more exemplary life now too.. or did alcohol have a devious negative effect here too? Drug impaired driving, drunk driving, road age, driving incompetence, and car racing are still the main cause of the majority of all vehicle.. we already do know alcohol and road age is associated with over 40 percent of vehicular accidents.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/01/02/alcohol/

Police say Sheppard, 33, grabbed onto a car following an altercation with the driver. They say the driver drove way with Sheppard hanging on. He then fell and suffered fatal injuries. Sheppard’s girlfriend says he was drinking the night he died.  Misty Bailey said Sheppard was drunk when he visited her and he rested and slept, then insisted on going home. Bailey said she didn’t ask him to leave and would have loved for him to stay where she knew he’d be safe.  Sheppard, at one point, was in the back of a police cruiser and she asked police to drive him home, but instead they let Sheppard go, she said.  Police have said they responded to a call about Sheppard barely an hour before his death, but added there were no allegations of criminal activity.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090902/national/bryant_cyclist_killed

Apparently alcohol was involved otherwise why would the girlfriend want the police to drive him home?  likely confirms what I have said.. we already do know alcohol and road age is associated with over 40 percent of vehicular accidents..

 Meanwhile in BC

Officer suspected of driving drunk Globe and Mail -A Vancouver police officer was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of drinking and driving. He has been placed on administrative duties pending an investigation.

Vancouver police officer arrested for impaired driving Vancouver Sun

A long serving constable in the Vancouver Police Department has been arrested for impaired driving in Burnaby. The VPD aren’t releasing many details about the officer at this point, including his age or identity. .The off-duty officer was stopped at a roadblock on the Trans Canada Highway early Sunday morning by the RCMP’s Port Mann highway patrol..  What they are still rewarding, covering  him too for his  drunk driving?

Our Federal Conservative Politicians also seem to  like to preach about law and order, conserving the good  family values, but do they practice what they preach now to others in reality? Do they themselves support alcoholic beverages now as well? The liberal  Christian & Missionary Alliance Church itself, PM Stephen Harper’s  own church now, contrary to the  fundamental evangelical  Baptists and Pentecostals  churches it does not openly prohibit the drinking of wine or smoking, or divorce.

Drinking alcohol cause permanent brain damage, it also causes a significant deterioration of one’s mental capabilities, deterioration of one’s inter personal relationship skills, it also causes more car accidents than speeding or not having adequate winter tires, it also reduces significantly one’s work productivity as well undeniably too. It has ruined many families as well.  So do pelase  tell us all now:

– How much money did the Prime Minister, the Premiers themselves now spend on Alcoholic consumption entertainment last year,
– How Much money did the federal, provincial cabinet ministers now spend on Alcoholic consumption entertainment last year
– How much money did the civil and public servants now spend on Alcoholic consumption entertainment last year

Many EVANGELICAL Fundamentalist believe that all true professing evangelical Christians are or are to be total abstainers from alcohol, and IN A FALSE DENIAL, A FALSE UNBELIEF they refuse to admit the reality that some professing Christians, Christian leaders still do get drunk, drink alcohol. Why? the shock they have been lied too is too much for a start..

In spite of past promises Harper unleashes flood of patronage

stephen_harpeR

PM Stephen Harper’s province…
Booze, gambling revenues now worth more than gas royalties to Stelmach government
http://ourcanadiancontent.wordpress.com/2010/08/27/booze-gambling-revenues-now-worth-more-than-gas-royalties-to-stelmach-government

Harper has been invoking a long term war, campaign, and he has systematically hired, placed in the government key Conservative party supporters, organizers paid for by the Canadian taxpayers and RIGHTFULLY they must be all fired, removed, or at least take away all work from them and give them an empty desk, and you can ALSO  rightfully start with Preston Manning now as well. Pigging out, living high on the hog, or patronistic hiring practices, getting drunk  are clearly an unacceptable abuse.

Top Tory donor gets director’s post  OTTAWA – The federal government has named a top Conservative fundraiser to the Toronto Port Authority’s board of directors – the latest in a series of what critics call blatant patronage appointments.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper was labelled Canada’s political “patronage king” and a “hypocrite” yesterday after tossing aside for the second time his promise not to name unelected Canadians to the Senate. Liberal Iggy had nothing to do with this as well. Stephen Harper once said he had no plans to stack the Senate with unelected representatives, suggesting it was “a dumping ground for the favoured cronies of the prime minister.” Next when he’s actually a prime minister, he’s done exactly what he said he wouldn’t do. And falsely Harper still blames the Liberals for his lies, poor acts, or whatever but clearly he Harper lacks integrity too and thus patronage and croneyism continues to rule the day in Canadian politics and taxpayers are still the big losers. Conservative supporters  go along with Harper’s lies again too. He has declared to the Canadian public that he would not name unelected people to the Senate. … His word means less and less every day he’s in office, and he’s behaving more and more like the Liberals,” NDP Leader Jack Layton said of Harper.

God’s verdit clearly is that Harper is a liar, immoral person  “If Harper and his followers were true to The Book, they would not discount these words of the Christ. Or they would have a pretty darn good reason to ignore them when it suits them… The words of Jesus mean nothing to this so-called religion-based government under Harper.”     http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/gods-verdict-outranks-historys-pm-says/article1269229/

The Harper cabinet unleashes flood of patronage The rush of appointments followed a little-noticed series of judicial appointments to superior courts across the country in July. That round brought the total number of superior court judges appointed by the Harper government to 201 since 2006. It also further fuelled opposition claims that the prime minister has abandoned election promises of transparency and merit-based public-service and judicial appointments. Conservative appointments to courts, boards, quasi-judicial tribunals and Crown corporations now total an estimated 3,000 since Harper became prime minister. The Tories are also closing in on the Liberals in the Senate after Harper’s appointment of nine senators Thursday, including at least two close advisers. Several of the earlier judicial posts went to lawyers with Tory connections. http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5iq9xqA1JNjZbqjzokCrmT8uXIRvg

”  The lying spins can change the facts, truths even as to why Harper will never have a majority government .  Like I have often said the truth and the news media confirms it, the new Conservatives clearly had lied when they had said elects us and we will show ourselves to be a better government, better than the others before us, but now instead they show us daily how big liars they are , mere spin doctors, rather cut throat pirates…. and now why do they have to resort to spins.. their  reality, truth is embarrassing to all.. Sowing false preferences, discrimination , partiality,  patronage hiring’s, dictatorial approach, lying, a common conservative trait as we all have seen done by even Stephen Harper in the last 2 years, are  also something most Canadians will also not accept of any new Conservative Canadian government, leader too.  The New Conservative Government under Stephen Harper has also wrongfully been guilty much wrong doing now as well. Most understandably Canadians also now for along time had a complaint, resentment against the Canadian Foreign affairs department, civil servants that while they were helping the others they were not doing enough to protects immediately Canadian Citizens now abroad as well. The real  results undeniably show it. The New Conservative Government under Stephen Harper has also wrongfully been guilty of this  poor inactions now well in the Mexico Pat Martin affair as well. And on top of all the “Hidden agenda”, these two words have dogged Stephen Harper’s political ambitions for years. The suspicions of a “hidden agenda”, and being a right wing George Bush clone, does hurt  Stephen Harper’s chances of becoming a majority government in Canada, plus Harpers still too often lying, dictatorial, contradictory, immoral behaviors too, and  his clear neglect to look after the good welfare of all the citizens of Canada, equally of all the males and females, all persons of all ages, rich or poor, and irrespective of their ethnic backgrounds now too,  and not rather the selected few. The subsequent new Conservative  lying spins can change the facts, truths even as to why Harper will never have a majority government.  Reality: New Conservative Ottawa losing credibility  over and over again.. as posted on the net too..”‘   http://canadatoday6.multiply.com/journal/item/19/A_good_Government

I have often heard it said that most Canadians Canada wide now are still like fearful sheep they are too ready to be fleeced, sadly it also seems they must have ostrich genes in them for when you present negative truths they tend to often rather bury their heads in the sand as well it  seems.. especially in in too many of the evangelical churches.. or  the ostrich sheep in Alberta who also now too often seem to think no Conservative politician can ever do any wrong rather it has to be the other bad guys, you know the liberals. Or the BQ separatists, the communist NDP… Ironically the wolves in sheep clothing exist Canada wide, in evangelical churches, political circles too now, and I guess for me telling the truth that is why so many of them hate me, do not hesitate to ban me or kick me out of their often also  bad churches now too..

Unacceptable A year after listeriosis, our food is no safer

 Fruits

Finally    Feds to move on all listeriosis recommendations CTV.ca -The Federal government will apply all 57 recommendations suggested by a report that examined last year’s Listeria outbreak in meat that left 22 people dead.

A year after listeriosis, our food is no safer Vancouver Sun    ‘We haven’t really learned all the lessons that we should have from those outbreaks’  When the Canadian Food Inspection Agency first announced a recall of foods containing pistachios in early spring, 25 products sold under three different brands were ensnared in the salmonella scare. By the time the food-safety investigation was finally completed in June, the recall captured 70 products and 18 brands in Canada — all containing potentially contaminated pistachios from Terra Bella Inc. of California. At the end of it all, the second largest pistachio company in the United States admitted it did not know salmonella contamination could occur on raw pistachios. The striking revelation, made on the heels of a recall that was drawn-out because it took time for manufacturers to figure out whether they used the tainted ingredient, is hardly a boost of confidence for consumers who are still digesting a string of listeriosis post-mortems about how Canada’s food system failed Canadians last August. Twenty-two people, most of them elderly Canadians living in provincial long-term care facilities or hospitals, died after consuming deli meats contaminated with listeria produced at a government-inspected plant operated by a leading food company.

“Whether the listeriosis outbreak has led to an overall improvement in the awareness of food safety among industry is maybe arguable. .”

There’s no doubt more rigorous tracking of listeria and sophisticated sanitation protocols are in place at Canada’s federally regulated meat plants, where operators were shaken by the realization that steps taken at Maple Leaf Foods Inc., an industry leader in food safety, weren’t as good as they needed to be to deal with the ubiquitous bacterium.  But the agency is still wrestling with a resource problem that sees one meat inspector responsible for an average of five facilities, while struggling with a new oversight system that favours auditing of company paperwork over time on the plant floor. And the food safety system is much more than listeria and ready-to-eat meat plants, especially as the system becomes increasingly globalized and the ingredient chain in processed foods becomes more complicated.

Public health officials believe cases of food-borne illnesses affect between 11 to 13 million Canadians every year and kill up to 500 people.

But this globalized food system makes food-borne illnesses the largest class of emerging infectious diseases in Canada — a fact that appears to have caught the Public Health Agency of Canada off guard, according to Sheila Weatherill, who came to this conclusion after completing her independent investigation into last year’s listeriosis outbreak.

“I feel reasonably good about the level of safety of food in Canada, but our vulnerabilities are substantial. We could have a food-borne illness outbreak tomorrow from produce that would affect people from one end of this country to another. We don’t know how to address that appropriately at the moment. We’re continuing to put manure on crops and feeding these organisms that cause food-borne illness in humans to animals that we then eat as food and produce that is fertilized by the waste materials from them. Look, that’s just not too terribly bright in my mind.”

“I really believe what is fundamentally changed about food safety in Canada — and it is probably the best omen for the future — is the level of awareness that has played out at a number of levels of the past 12 months because, ultimately, I don’t think you can affect the kind of culture change that I think most people would say is fundamental to the strongest possible food safety system without that level of awareness.”

In the meantime, watch for the latest recall to trickle out, just like the pistachio one.

Deli meats recalled over Listeria concerns CTV.ca –  TORONTO – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to consume some ready-to-eat deli meats from Delstar Foods Inc. as they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Why heart attacks often kills still

Hospital

Congestive heart failure, Coronary artery disease, Hypertension, Mitral valve collapse, Arrhythmias, Atrial fibrillation , Angina,  Cardiomyopathy, Heart attacks, Strokes, High cholesterol all likely can be effectively treated if we had a more competent, compassionated medical care system firstly..  On top of that as I know first hand and often, the quality of services you get THERE TOO depends on the quality of the doctor himself, and half of them, the clearly really poor ones should be employed for a start elsewhere, and have half of their salary cut as well next rightfully too. Too many medical professionals initially do not spot serious heart problems, even heart attacks still in reality for  Doctors, nurses mostly still do have to do a real medical test, even a blood work to tell if  ANY person is really having a heart attack, heart problems! The basic xray test  will not realy indicate at all if a person is having heart problems as well, more serious medical testing is required . Interpretation of the scans, results are very crucial, and on the interpretation side, there is also a very wide range of quality or accuracy, in reality. Even 90 percent poor ones.  Now  doctors can make an extra $500,000 to $1 million a year simply by acquiring their own  scanner that next still give poor results, for often  they are not even competent to interpret accurately the results.. only the  competent Cardiologists tend to understand heart problems.. and not the rest of the doctors.. and that is why it is so hard to get to see a good competent Cardiologist.

Some things seem to never change, such as cold calloused, pretentious Ministers, Health Ministers included who really do not care if the others live or die, as long as they alone survive  it seems still too. I could not help but notice and read the great newspaper articles about heart care tips.. but what about all of those people where these tips are too late and the mostly pretentious health care is not there for them.. face it to get get real health care you have to get the attention of the emergency department, triage  care givers, that is if you can get past those preeminent security guards there, too often pretentious triage nurses, who screen all the patients firstly. and if you still are not dumb to recognize that now hiring 12 nurses who get the same pay as one doctor cannot, do not make up, compose one qualified medical doctor firstly as well. Nurses have 2 years of training while doctors have at least a decade, so they the real doctors do have both a deeper and wider applicable   knowledge base too.

SINCE I DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT PLEASING ANYONE OR OFFENDING THEM, I do not need to spin anytting too and  I CAN TELL THE TRUTH TO ALL EVEN ABOUT HOW TO SAVE MEDICARE DOLLARS. CHARGE CARD HAPPY DOCTORS ARE BLEEDING THE MEDICAL CARE SYSTEM TO DEATH BY THEIR TOO OFTEN POOR AND PRETENTIOUS SERVICES NOW STILL TOO, EVEN  IN MY OWN DIRECT MEDICAL EXPERIENCES. http://pbulow.tripod.com/health.htm

Now from years of experience I do also next a Hospital tour. I walk around the hospitals and observe how many hospital employees I can see talking in a group, or just floor walking, and  the medical personnel not at their desks, offices, and I had now clearly observed firstly that this hospital was not even being utilized to a 50 percent capacity, never mind now 75 percent. Clearly bad hospital mangers are responsible for this and there is a significant room for improvement. Being nice to even one bad person is still a major waste of time, and most Hospital managers, employees REALLY STILL do not care at all about the patient’s good welfare, sickness, problems, BUT ONLY THEIR OWN GOOD WELFARE, for  all they staff care about is keeping their own jobs,  getting a raise, promotion and doing the minimum amount of work possible too, because only the fear of firing can cause any hospital employee to do a better job.. So start by firing the bad Hospital managers. Bad School mangers, etc.. Health and all of the bad   Ministers firstly as well.

A host of studies and reports by academics and the federal government shows that physicians who own scanners order many more scans than those who do not http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/30/AR2009073004285.html?sub=AR

The  echocardiogram is a test in which ultrasound is used to examine the heart. The equipment is far superior to that used by fishermen. In addition to providing single-dimension images, known as M-mode echo that allows accurate measurement of the heart chambers, the echocardiogram also offers far more sophisticated and advanced imaging. The first test that should be done for most people with potential heart problems often seems rather firstly reserved for the pregnant mothers rather still too.” http://www.heartsite.com/html/echocardiogram.html
Secondly most of the initial doctor  prescribed medical test for potentially serious  heart problems are really pretentious, cheap, ineffective, basically  all useless, and are mostly now used because the real valid medical tests such as the Echocardiogram   are mostly unavailable and too costly to be used immediatley too, for most people who reallly do need them.

A number of bad Cardiologists, doctors  refer patients for imaging done by rather very obsolete even equipment, equipment now  they own and thus profit more from.  I recently encountered this myself as well.More than 95 million high-tech scans are done each year in the US , and medical imaging, including CT, M.R.I. and PET scans, has ballooned into a $100-billion-a-year industry in the United States, with Medicare paying for $14 billion of that. But recent studies show that as many as 20 percent to 50 percent of the procedures should never have been done because their results did not help diagnose ailments or treat patients.Insurers pay the same for a scan done on a 10-year-old machine as one on the latest model, though the differences in the images can be significant. Insurers do not distinguish between scans that are done poorly or done well or read by less- or more-qualified doctors. Technologists must also be certified, and there are standards for supervising physicians. And the scanners must be regularly assessed to ensure they are properly functioning. But many test centers are not even accredited. In a recent report, the Government Accountability Office said nearly two-thirds of the money Medicare paid for imaging was for scans in doctors’ offices. And, the report added, doctors were receiving an ever larger part of their income from providing scanning services. Not only were patients more likely to have scans if a doctor did this, but the quality of some of the scans was questioned.   http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/02/health/02scans.html?_r=1

Some noninvasive Heart tests, and not all of them even are  fully effective .. most tests still do require professional diagnostic experiences solely by qualified cardiologists.
Doctors   are often ordering tests or procedures not based on THE ACTUAL need but A RIGHTFUL CONCERN OF LIABILITY or increasing their income is the biggest waste of health care dollars STILL… More insured and uninsured consumers are RIGHTFULLY getting their BETTER primary care in THE HOSPITAL’S emergency rooms.

IN REALITY THE TRIAGE, THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT THE HOSPITAL TEND TO PROVIDE STILL THE BEST AND MOST ECONOMICAL MEDICAL SERVICES, AND INCREASING THE ACCESS TO THESE SERVICES THERE WOULD SAVE MORE MEDICARE MONEY TOO. HEART TESTS CAN INCLUDE:
  • Resting electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)
  • Signal-averaged electrocardiogram (SAECG)
  • Chest X-ray
  • Holter monitor (ambulatory electrocardiogram)
  • Echocardiogram
  • Exercise stress test
  • Computed tomography (CT) scan
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  • Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA

Cancer and Cardiovascular disease ARE  the leading cause of death in both men and women,  Cardiovascular disease accounting for one-third of all deaths. MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE ACCOUNTING STILL  FOR 25 PERCENT?? Medical errors are costing the  billions a year in wasted expenses, something that makes ME irate too. The general belief that the hospitals are getting much better in managing this AND THEMSELVES STILL more than they have in the past is also still an unnacceptable myth.
NOW WE ALL KNOW THAT HEART ATTACKS CAN KILL.. WOULD BE NICE iF THEY COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED.. UNLIKELY.. WOULD ALSO HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEY CAN BE PROPERLY TREATED, DIAGNOSED AS WELL by the medical community including the doctors, nurses and YES more real money was available for the needed treatment as well in reality, not rather a pretentious amount. Both men and women’s  symptoms are often most likely to lead STILL to dismissal by most of the medical personnel.
Many persons seem to stereotype that men only   tend to have “heart attacks” while engaged in physical exertion, like shovelling snow.  I think they should stress that NOT ONLY MEN AND women present heart attacks  differently, each individual persons presentations can be different, non typical now as well.  Some persons  feel   tightness in the chest. Other  pain in the jaw or shoulder or back, others had  had an ‘upset stomach’,    I do agree that doctors and women should educate themselves more  on how men and women  symptoms of a heart attack.  We don’t need more badly trained doctors, nurses instead we need “more competent doctors.”

Women are almost twice as likely to die within 30 days of a heart attack compared with men, but the difference disappears when age, medical history and disease severity are taken into account.”
I have seen women die of heart attacks because the medical personnel were not able to recognize that heart attacks in women present differently than they do in men. Women’s heart attacks do not always present with the cardiac pain that men experience, they usually present with abdominal discomfort, a strong urge to defecate and some anxiety, the very symptoms that many doctors roll their eyes at and thus take those complaints very lightly, they are often dismissed as women complaining, and the women are not taken seriously. A good book to read for information is “Women are not small men” available at the library and gives a good description and health information to women with regard to cardiac health care and problems as they affect women. “

Also “many health conditions are greatly affected by gender, there is a big difference for many reasons.”  http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2009/08/25/heart-women.html

Now on top of all that the food you eat, unresolved negative stress, lack of exercise, hereditary aspects   as well can lead to a serious heart attack. Include the risky behavior such as smoking, obesity,  alcohol abuse, not washing hands, and the often over-prescribing of antibiotics.

According to the medical experts many people die needlessly, even heart attacks and strokes are highly preventable. In fact, seven of ten Americans who die each year, die of a preventable chronic disease such as heart disease and diabetes While 95 percent of the health care dollars in the US are spent on treating disease,  little attention is paid to preventing disease, which should be a national priority  too.

THUS ALSO  ALLOWING MORE PEOPLE ACCESS TO A FREE DIETICIAN IS LESS COSTLY THAN ACCESS TO DOCTORS AND MEDICAL CARE SYSTEM NEXT TOO

Most diabetics don’t eat healthily, and Cathy Chan wants to know why. More than two million Canadians have type 2 diabetes, and the number continues to rise. The cost of treating diabetes and its related conditions is estimated at up to $9 billion annually. Long-term studies show that people who follow the lifestyle recommendations they receive when diagnosed have better control of their diabetes and require fewer medications, says Chan, a researcher and professor of nutrition in the department of agricultural, food and nutritional science at the University of Alberta. “That’s less expensive for you and less expensive for the health-care system, but you’re also less at risk for developing the complications of diabetes, which include heart attack, stroke, amputation, blindness and renal failure,” Chan says. Yet only one in three diabetics eats what they should, which basically follows the Canada’s Food Guide. Most diabetics meet protein recommendations, but only 20% eat the required amounts of fibre found in whole grains, fruits and vegetables. According to the Canadian Diabetes Association, diet is the most difficult thing for people to deal with. http://www.canada.com/health/diabetics+eating+right/1889722/story.html

Diabetics  are not the only   people who do have problems making  diet changes, so do many heart patients even now as well.. Changing one’s eating habits often requires the cooperation of others such as one’s spouse, and yes falsely some spouse refuse to make any changes.  I estimate 80 percent of heart patients die as a direct result of failing to change their food  eating habits

US States with the highest diabetes prevalence in the analysis also have the highest levels of blood pressure and cardiovascular disease risk, cancer risk, and none of this surprising since diabetes is   often related to the type of food they eat too.. and poorer people tend to eat junkier foods..   U.S. scientists also say they’ve found that in human breast cancer cell tumors in mice, a diabetes drug worked better than chemotherapy in prolonging remission. It is interesting that diabetes medicine already has also been found to help 30 percent of heart patients get better too. The drug, metformin, appears to selectively kill cancer stem cells in culture dishes and in mice. Health Ministers and Health Canada should seriously be looking into this too

You can see also
I know for a fact that both the internet and non doctors, alternative approaches,  were unable to help me with my medical conditions many times.. it took real and competent doctors and real, valid  diagnostic equipment/testing  rather for my: heart problems, diabetes, congestive heart failure, gland problems, vitamin deficiencies, cataracts, etc

It is estimated that nearly one in three  adults have high blood pressure. People from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who suffer a heart attack come to the emergency department more often, are less likely to be treated aggressively and have higher mortality rates a year after heart attack, says new University of Alberta research that has important implications for access to cardiac care. If blood pressure is not brought back to the normal range it can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure or kidney failure. Magnesium, Cayenne Pepper, Onions, Garlic, Bananas   have also been demonstrated to be effective in bringing down high blood pressure. Eat also a food diet high in fiber, fresh fruit, more vegeatables  and food always low in sugar, or salt.  Avoid the negative side effects of today’s medicines such as Diuretics, Beta Blockers, Alpha Blockers and the related abusive, extortionate, crushing financial costs

Spin – Canadians warming to minority rule – MEDIA, POLITICAL Posturing

PINOCCHIO-L

Election time is when the Biggest liars escalate what they have been doing all year now anyway

BUFFALO, N.Y., Aug. 25 (UPI) — Many people seek out information confirming what they believe, instead of searching for information that confirms or disconfirms a belief, U.S. researchers say. Study co-author Steven Hoffman, a visiting assistant professor of sociology at the University at Buffalo, and colleagues say for the most part people completely ignore contrary information.  For example, before the 2004 U.S. election there was strong resilience of the belief among many Americans that Saddam Hussein was linked to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, despite strong evidence otherwise. http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2009/08/25/Study-Why-people-ignore-facts/UPI-95341251179479/

” the same day two very dissimilar polls were published. One gave Prime Minister Stephen Harper‘s Conservative party an 11-point lead over the Liberals while the second showed the country’s two oldest parties in a dead heat. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/08/25/Canadian-Liberals-fan-fall-election-talk/UPI-12571251205605/

SO WHAT POLL DID THE LOCAL  NEWS MEDIA EMPHASIZE, PUBLISH NEXT? THE WANT THEY WANTED THE READERS TO SEE? OR THE ONE THEY THOUGHT THE READERS WANTED TO READ? OR WHAT YOU THOUGHT THERE WAS SUCH AS THING NOW AS HONEST JOURNALISM TOO? DREAM ON AND CAN I SELL YOU THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE AGAIN?

Spin – Canadians warming to minority rule  Canadians warming to liars?

Why is it so many of the liars still wrongfully, falsely think all of  the rest of us are still stupid?

The real fact of life is that there is an ongoing need of honest Journalism still,  of separating the fact, truth from the spins, lies, for the majority persons now even in Canada tend not to believe these polls cause we firstly do know they can bought, be manipulated to give the answer you want, to meet a hidden agenda still. Nor do we tend to believe automatically sadly  the too often lying news media, politicians and their associates as well, especially the lawyers.

The spin doctors now say that Canadians want a Majority Government, Canadians want a majority Liberal Government, Canadians want a majority Conservative  Government or  “Canadians warming to minority rule: poll 53.9% Supportive; Election-ready Conservative MPs focused on majority Emily Senger, National Post  Published: Saturday, August 22, 2009 ” and well here is my version of this poll as posted on the net for all to see too. Canadians want a good  honest majority government, honest, honest, good leaders, honest and good politicians firstly still too, honest and good cops, RCMP firstly still too

Firstly my own real past personal undeniable dealing with Nik Nanos, as I had previously detailed to him and on the net,   was that he was an unfair, unethical person, and he did not deny this to me before  too,   who likely would sell himself to the highest bidder and so how can anyone trust anything he writes now too about Stephen Harper or Canadian Politics ?

”  With Conservative MPs beginning to ramp up rhetoric about the need for a majority in the next election, the poll suggests they may not have a high degree of support for that view, said Nanos president and CEO Nik Nanos. ( I do not support the conservatives but clearly neither does Nik Nanos based on his other recent polls of his that I have read too but we all could know that before the poll result too)

“The Conservatives have said that they want a majority government for stability, but the polling suggests that only about 31.5% of Canadians would even like them to see them get re-elected,” Mr. Nanos said.  ( We do not need a poll to know that 30 persons of these supporters are Conservatives, mostly in Alberta, prairies , or also the fact that 60 percent of Alberta voters had stopped voting in the provincial elections now too but we knew that before the poll )

In the poll, 58.5% of respondents said the statement “Stephen Harper has had his chance and it’s time for a change” matched their beliefs. ( what the same polarized majority that did not elect him into office in the first place too and  we knew that before the poll, and why would have it changed even?)

The appetite for minority governments is partially driven by the fact that Canadians don’t see a single leader as particularly strong or desirable, so electing a leader into a minority situation provides a check ( block, stalemate) on power, Mr. Nanos said. ( and that is still  Nik’s political spin, it has nothing to do with a real poll results ehh?)

“It’s a bit of a reflection on the state of affairs in regards to the leadership of the federal political parties,” Mr. Nanos said. (but we knew that before the poll)

The poll indicated that those in Quebec are most in favour of a minority government, with 29.7% of respondents saying the idea of a minority government was positive. ( We all know or should know that no one can win a federal majority government without a leader from Quebec, and I said that openly too, and that is why IGGY too now from Ontario  is not popular, and that is a fact, no poll is needed,   we knew that before Nik poll.)

On the Prairies, only 11% of respondents said the idea of a minority government was positive. ( Cause the biased, self centered  prairies support a majority Conservative government and the rest of Canada do not.. but we knew that before the poll)
This isn’t surprising given the number of Bloc voters in Quebec, who ( rightfully)  benefit greatly when there is a minority in the House, Mr. Nanos said. (but we knew that before the poll, BQ too is a legitimate, elected party and has a full right to exists and no poll can change that fact, truth now too)

“Any situation where the BQ could potentially place leverage on the government of Canada, would probably be welcome for those voters,” Mr. Nanos said.

When asked why they viewed a minority as favourable, 54.8% of respondents said: “It’s good because it forces parties to co-operate.” But when asked if minority governments actually do co-operate, Mr. Nanos replied simply. “No,” he said, laughing. Co-operation between minorities happened when Lester B. Pearson’s Liberals created the Canada Health Act in 1984, but today’s minority governments seem to spend more time fighting than forging alliances.

“There is a natural default position in the Canadian psyche to want everybody to work together and be nice,” Mr. Nanos said. “It doesn’t necessarily translate into political reality.” ( To be honest and fair firstly now   Harper does not have a majority government, and as an minority leader he firstly has to cooperate with the other parties, as we all can know   he Harper himself clearly has refused to do, he and his party now firstly obstructs all parties cooperation to insure his  government failure to hopefully in futility  force a futile majority government election for the Conservatives, the reality is that Harper firstly had set the bad tone in the house himself and he now lying blames it on the others, but we knew that before the poll, there is not denial of that truth and no need to spin it as well)

Nanos Research ( actually a spin doctoring, political posturing  report, do take a poll to see if it isn’t ehh) conducted a random telephone survey of 1,002 Canadians between July 30 and Aug. 2. The survey is considered accurate to within plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.” ( accurate? more like full of distortions  and spins and  I myself thus would never hire rightfully Nanos for any Poll..)  esenger@nationalpost.com
http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/story.html?id=1918505

No wonder so many people rightfully do believe that Politicians, polls and news media often lie these days.. I got no good meat out of this report, it was a waste of money.. Citizens clearly do not care for leaders, political parties who still are mainly locking after their own interests and lie and say they are not, that they are looking after the citizens, and that is an undeniable truth, fact, that no poll will change too

PS: One obvious liar, or crook?  objected in writing to me for sending this to him or others… too bad for him.. I still do have my right of free speech now too.

“After five years of constant election speculation, Canadians may be warming to the idea of minority governments, according to a new poll. The poll, conducted by Nanos Research, suggests that more than half of Canadians, 53.9%, say their impression of minority governments is positive or somewhat positive.” ( maybe is not a poll fact, but a spin)

Canadians don’t want election, Stephen Harper says, while Harper and his associates  are clearly   in reelection campaign mode

Ignatieff does not want  an election  he says and Ignatieff insists he’s not in campaign mode, but his Liberal Party is

As posted on the net the truth is that Canadians warming to minority rule: poll and everyone in  Politics these days is sadly still a big liar it seems too.. at the federal and at the provincial levels,  they mostly lie to get reelected  and THEY LIE WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE HERE TO BE RESPONSIBLE TO LOOK AFTER THE GOOD CITIZENS OF CANADA IS BASICALLY THE REASON WE PREFER MINORITY GOVERNMENTS CAUSE WE DO NOT TRUST ANY MAJORITY PARTY. We need to and want to stop electing all liars into any government job, political office, newspapers, news media as well. http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/story.html?id=1918505

Another day and we have the news media again disagreeing with each other and who do we believe?

Liberals, Tories in dead heat: poll  Monday, Aug. 24, 2009  OTTAWA – A new poll suggests the Conservatives and Liberals remain locked in a dead heat amid rumblings of a possible fall election. The Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey put the parties in a statistical tie, with 32 per cent support for the Liberals and 31 per cent for the Tories. The NDP were at 16 per cent, the Greens at 11, and the Bloc Quebecois at nine. The numbers have barely budged throughout the summer, a period in which voters are typically disengaged.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/canada/cp

Conservatives jump to big lead in poll Reuters Canada   Monday, Aug. 24, 2009 The impression that the economy was recovering from a recession helped propel the Conservatives to 39 percent support and cut the Liberals to 28 percent, the Ipsos Reid poll said. Two months ago, it had the Liberals ahead 35 to 34 percent.”The Tories are now in the driver’s seat,” the polling firm said. Most recent polls had put the two main parties neck and neck, and a Nanos survey two weeks ago had the Liberals ahead by 2-1/2 percentage points.

Conservatives 39%, Liberals 28%, NDP 14%Net Newsledger – James Murray -Monday, 24 August 2009 06:46 pm  Conservatives 39%, Liberals 28%, NDP 14% Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s five-day visit to the north and official statistics showing the country is slowing moving out of recession are working in the prime minister’s favor. Evidence is the 11 percent hike in the Tories’ approval rating in a survey made by Ipsos Reid. The results of the study made by Ipsos Reid for Canwest News Service and released Monday, said the Conservatives led by Harper got a 39 percent support among decided voters. The party’s rating went up by 5 percent compared to two months ago.In contrast, the Liberals led by Michael Ignatieff, secured only 28 percent, which dipped by 7 percent from two months ago. The same poll said 45 percent of Canadians think Harper did a good job and deserves to be reelected, although a higher 50 percent had an opposite view. Nevertheless, Harper is seen by 48 percent as better in improving Canada’s economy and representing Ottawa’s interest in global affairs, while 49 percent view the prime minister as doing a good job in managing Canada’s finances. Ignatieff is perceived as the better leader by 45 percent in protecting the environment,

New Poll In Canada Shows Tories Widen Lead Over Liberals Gant Daily – Monday, Aug. 24, 2009  Ottawa, Ontario (AHN) – Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s five-day visit to the north and official statistics showing the country is slowing moving …

Yeah I know everyone lies, some more than others.. such as news editors, pastors, politicians, lawyers, doctors too?..

There are yes too many  false sheep who worship those crooked leaders, shepherds, pastors, preachers dressed in nice suits. Not trying to impress anyone, or showing off I next went to a new church dressed in my clean, regular daily clothes. I next too was surprised when now one said hello to me nor did they great me, and a few services later this continued to happen. So I prayed about it and to my surprise God said they were harlots, prostitutes. Embarrassed at this revelation I decided I would fully proof for myself this was true. So next Sunday I put on a white shirt, tie, nice black pants, and a white sports jacket and most everyone said hello  to me. Incidentally the same thing happens to me on the bus as well.. Why?  Also the very same pastor of this professing Christian church dressed there in a nice suit who also did not talk to me as well was next charged with abuse, slander, lying, misappropriation of church funds, and was eventually fired. Now these days when I see these peacock members, deacons, ushers  strutting around church in their fancy suits trying to impress the others , it causes me to be sick to my stomach still. It would be better if they used the money rather to help the poor and needy in their own church.

Evangelical Prime Minister Stephen Harper now included. The Canadian new Conservative party -wolves in sheep clothing

Word that Michael Ignatieff is backing down again from his demands for Employment Insurance reform is terrible news for the 1.6 million Canadians who are out-of-work and struggling to make ends meet, says New Democrat Leader Jack Layton.“All summer I’ve met with unemployed families who can barely pay their bills and put food on the table,” said Layton. “They need help now, but Michael Ignatieff insists on ignoring them.”

The Liberal Party — first under Dion and now under Ignatieff — have a disgraceful track record of propping up Stephen Harper. They’ve rubberstamped his Conservative agenda 79 times and counting. Employment Insurance reform is just the latest example of Liberals standing up for Harper, instead of standing up for Canadians. http://albertatalks.ca/2009/08/28/ignatieff-backs-down-on-ei-again

While personal revenge and anger tends to amplify our worst  tendencies but we all do need a  stark reminder that all persons now are still  responsible, accountable  for what they do, say, in governments, police stations, churches, in the open, online or  otherwise. Civil and public servants, Pastors, elders, individuals included.

Canada’s Unemployment figures lie

highprices

.
“Some people say that the recession is over but try telling that to the unemployed and their families. Unemployment is going to get worse in the months ahead and the Harper government is leaving people to fend for themselves. ” Number of EI recipients rises in June OTTAWA – There were 816,600 Canadians receiving regular Employment Insurance benefits in June, 5.1 per cent – or 39,500 – more than in May.
.
and what about all the people who gave up and went to social aid,? funny how the figures tend to vary depends on who is talking too..
.
and what about those typical political false prophets who lie and tell you the Recession is over… and then the news tells you it is coming back, getting worse, etc.
 .
I always still find it amazing the unemployment, recessions hits the poor people the most , not the politicians, recession hits those most vulnerable, the poor, it hits them the most severely in their pocket book and in their health next too, and during a recession the food prices still go up, as the still greedy food chains still increase the prices too and governments cut back on social services..even increase the taxes
.
In an article published Wednesday, the international financing agency’s chief economist says the recession has drained government treasuries to such an extent that “in nearly all countries … higher taxation is inevitable.”
.
So higher taxation is inevitable. watch out especially for more cash crabs by the municipalities too, much much  higher prices for revenue generating speeding, parking tickets and by law violations too. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/hidden-municpal-police-taxes/
.
After all all THOSE PEOPLE, CIVIL AND PUBLIC SERVANTS,  LIVING HIGH ON THE HOG  especially EVEN AT THE GOVERNMENTS,  THE CITY HALLS, even  in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta THEY ALL ARE NOT ABOUT TO GIVE UP THEIR EMPIRE BUILDING, THIER LAVISH LIFESTYLES, EXOTIC BENEFITS, MOSTLY UNNECESSARY OUT OFF TOWN TRIPS.. and we have seen this already being carried out in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and now in Montreal. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/most-politicians-civil-and-public-servants-think-the-rules-dont-apply-to-them/

The unemployment rate in Canada, the most robust of all G8 economies during the current global crisis, has jumped again and again..

.

Welfare, jobless rates  shows EI reform needed.. a majority of unemployed Canadians are not eligible for Employment Insurance, often because they work on contract or part-time or in seasonal jobs that don’t last long enough for them to qualify. The problem is particularly acute in Ontario, where only three in 10 unemployed persons qualify for Employment Insurance. The alternative to fixing Employment Insurance is to drive the jobless onto the welfare rolls (the responsibility of provinces and municipalities) or to force them to plunder their assets such as homes and retirement savings. Neither option is desirable.  http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/583750

bum

 .
The given Canadian  government Unemployment figures always have been big lies cause they are adjusted figures of people receiving UIC cheques, they do not actually state all of the people unemployed who do not qualify for UIC, have been forced to go onto social welfare or have to get part time jobs with no fringe benefits or have become self employed which is a costly undertaking
 .
For example “A new report on Toronto’s economic indicators paints what one councillor calls a “very gloomy” picture of the continuing impact of the global recession, including a 16 per cent hike in the welfare rolls. The July report from the city’s economic development department finds an unemployment rate, based on a three-month average, of 11.5 per cent, up from 8.5 per cent a year earlier. The number of welfare cases jumped to 87,450 in May of this year from 75,237 in June 2008, an increase of more than 12,000 – which translates to 16,556 more individuals receiving assistance”.
 .
” Home prices are predicted to stay steady in most of Canada for the next ten years, except in BC because of the new rich immigrants  from Asia, Home prices likely they will not rise in prices cause of the upcoming, on going recession? Recession is ongoing in most of the world too”
.

But housing starts declined to 1,395 from 2,567 in the same period, a 46 per cent drop, and new listings declined to 13,357 from 16,068, a 17 per cent fall-off.   http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/684386

 .

August 7 2009 – Statistics Canada reports that unemployment was unchanged at 8.6% in July as fewer people participated in the job market. However, the number of people employed fell by 45,000 across both part-time and full-time sectors. 414,000 jobs have been lost since the peak in the job market last October. Young workers (age 15-24) have been particularly hard hit with a reduction of 205,000 jobs. Quebec (-37,000) and Saskatchewan (-5000) were most affected in July.

.

Seasonally adjusted, unemployment rates vary from 17.1% (Newfoundland and Labrador) to 4.7% (Saskatchewan).

Rates for all the provinces were (previous month in brackets):

  • Newfoundland and Labrador 17.1% (15.6%)
  • Prince Edward Island 12.3% (12.2%)
  • Nova Scotia 9.2% (9.3%)
  • New Brunswick 9.4% (9.2%)
  • Quebec 9.0% (8.8%)
  • Ontario 9.3% (9.6%)
  • Manitoba 5.2% (5.2%)
  • Saskatchewan 4.7% (4.6%)
  • Alberta 7.2% (6.8%)
  • British Columbia 7.8% (8.1%)

According to Georgetti, in March 2009 only 46.8% of those who were unemployed were actually receiving EI benefits. “This is a scandal,” he said. “These workers contributed to Employment Insurance in good faith and now they are being left to fend for themselves. They will not be able to take their kids on a holiday this year or send them to summer camps, and when families don’t have money to spend the entire community feels the pinch.”

Canadian Labour Congress Chief Economist, Andrew Jackson analyzed the situation:

  • “Today’s job numbers are a clear sign that, far from entering a recovery, the Canadian economy is still in free-fall.
  • “While the national unemployment rate remained unchanged in July at 8.6%, this was only because 53,000 workers gave up the fruitless search for jobs and dropped out of the labour force. The participation rate fell sharply, from 67.5% to 67.2%, the largest monthly decline we have seen since the recession began.
  • “We lost another 45,000 jobs in July, but the picture is much worse on closer examination. There were 79,000 fewer workers in paid jobs compared to June, while self-employment rose by 35,000. This was on top of another big jump in self-employment of 37,000 last month.
  • “Put it all together and the picture is of large losses in paid jobs, with the impact on the headline unemployment rate cushioned by workers giving up the search for jobs or turning to self-employment.
  • “Today’s numbers show that the impact of the recession has spread decisively to women. There were 22,000 fewer adult women (aged 25 and over) working in July compared to June, and another 31,000 adult women dropped out of the labour force.
  • “The figures suggest little impact to date from the federal government’s stimulus package. We lost 18,000 construction jobs in July, bringing the total loss in this sector since October to 120,000 or 9.6%. The unemployment rate for students in July was 20.9%.”

I wrote before and said that  I once was naïve and believed that the news was honest, professional , objective but now almost daily I encounter contradictory spin doctors lies under the heading of news.. The Conservative and Liberals news media both spin..

for example- Posted for all to know the reality .. the news lies often too.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/19/more-hidden-cash-grabs-higher-taxes/

so what spin do we believe here too?
.

I can quickly sum up my political experiences in Canada.. for decades now most people in Canada  seem to elect liars and alcoholics for politicians, and we have had now much too many of them elected as well.. Of course  it seems natural for alcoholics to lie, they seen to often lie that it is is ok to drink alcohol in the first place, and it seems natural for many lawyers who run for political offices, and many want to be politicians to lie to get elected.. Yes most people elect liars who tell them the things they want to hear.. we all know that had Stephen Harper told the truth that Canada was going into a major depression next, he very likely would have never got elected. so he said there was going to be no election or recession, he clearly lied. After he was elected he admits Canada was facing a big recession of course, how could he deny otherwise. I openly express the truth that we should stop electing any liars and alcoholics, even in the police forces, civil and public services now too,  and when it is confirmed that they are thieves, cheats,  liars or alcoholics they should be immediately fired, recalled.. as simple as that too. Some professing ostrich evangelical totally deny that the professing Christians drink alcohol, they have a problem with the alcoholics rather and not me I merely reported the truth, facts, that many professing Christians drink alcohol and falsely try to justify it as well.. Alcohol does a lot of brain damages, negatively affects your ability to work, to live normal, alcohol is a major cause of car accidents, tends to destroy your family life, so of course I have no use for alcohol or alcoholics anywhere. Neither should any of us not just MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. and a  bad immoral Conservatives is not better than a bad immoral Liberal, especially firstly the alcoholic ones.

More hidden Cash grabs. higher taxes

In an article published Wednesday, the international financing agency’s chief economist says the recession has drained government treasuries to such an extent that “in nearly all countries … higher taxation is inevitable.”

After all all THOSE PEOPLE LIVING HIGH ON THE HOG AT THE CITY HALLS ARE NOT ABOUT TO GIVE UP THEIR EMPIRE BUILDING, LAVISH LIFESTYLES, EXOTIC BENEFITS, MOSTLY UNNECESSARY OUT OFF TOWN TRIPS.. and we have seen this already being carried out in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and now in Montreal.
 .
For decades I too  have rightfully opposed to all  the extravagant, wasteful spending of the city’s , tax payers money by civil, public servants because it is next the programs to the poor people that are cut first when financial problems occur… The continual mismanagement, budget deficit, tax payer money abuses and has there been even any changes in all this really? We all  really still do need still a full  review of the waste, fraud, and abuse that has plagued governmental efforts. What is also needed is a enforced, real program to remove public officials from office that take our money and abuse it, spend it on their own false pet projects while many of our people still are not getting the help that they need.  January 2004 was the start of my recent rash of my written correspondences mainly on the unacceptable  tax payers money abuses, injustices at the federal, provincial municipal levels too, as well, and it all  has specifically initially started because I had strongly, rightfully objected to anyone in the province of BC being kicked of social welfare, even if they are alcoholics, drug users…
.
I still do rightfully and loudly  object to anyone being kicked of social welfare even in BC or elsewhere and this is still never acceptable. They all Civil and public servants, politicians, need to be regularly supervised too. That is why we need and have the auditors, News media, Opposition parties, concerned citizens to do this too.. and it still generally is not enough as we can see.
.
TWO OF MY PAST NEIGHBORS, MANAGERS,  WHO WORKED FOR CITY HALL OPENLY BOASTED TO ME, AND DEMONSTRATED TO ME FOR YEARS THE COMMON CORRUPTION IN THE LOCAL CITY HALL, DONE BY THEM AND MANY OF THEIR COLLEAGUES. This included their unnecessary out of town trips, their taking stuff, computer accessories,  home from the office for their own personal use, boasted of  their lavish expense accounts, of their doing personal work at the office, and much more. Why did they think that me a tax payer would approve any of such wrong doings was their error. I reported their wrong doings rightfully rather. OTHER MANAGERS OF CROWN CORPORATIONS HAD ALSO OFTEN BOASTED TO ME OF THEM DOING SIMILAR THEFTS  AS WELL..
.
The fish stinks from the head but many cut the tail of first..  Reducing, cutting of the programs to the poor and needy persons for  that seems how the governments wrongfully still do wrongfully  respond to budget cut backs,  deficits, and to the poor and needy people too now, rather than dealing still firstly with the major crooks, tax payer’s money abusers too in the government and elsewhere,  How many people in reality even in the civil, public services governments now  have been arrested all together  for tax evasions and tax payers money abuse now last year? How many? Anyone care to answer the question?
.
And speaking of the related  federal review as well, who are the high spenders last year in the federal government.. who ate at the best restaurants, traveled the most at the tax payer ‘s restaurants.. who were the drunks now too..  Politicians, and civil and public servants now included too..
tickets-1
(Luke 6:43 KJV)  For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

 .
Even in our governments, history tends to repeat itself, including thefts, waste and mismanagement, deficits, and they tend not to rather get better and why?
 .
There are also plenty of places to try to save the tax payer’s money but starting to save the tax payer’s money at the expense of the poor people and their welfare programs is not the best  way to do this, not at all the way to do it!   The governments firstly should though clearly manage better it’s civil and public servants.. and the capital expenditures. Why? Well I do also know from real  experiences that it is also the services to the poor and needy persons, those who can afford it the least, that are wrongfully cut to make up for the past budget mismanagement by Ministers, managers of the civil and public servants too in Canada’s Provinces, Municipalities too. Rather than cutting back on the governmental aid, programs to  the poor and needy persons even next  because of the government’s own unacceptable past mismanagement we all do now too need to really take another continual look at how effective our tax dollars are always all of being used by the civil and public servants, and their managers, politicians now too.
.
Cutting back on the Corporate welfare also is what the government still does  needs to deal with and not cutting firstly the Social welfare. The Corporations got what Billions  in social welfare from the tax payers? and we do not have money for the poor people? or for proper medical care, or for proper Justice, police, consumer protection  too? It never surprises me anymore when the superiors, Managers even  at City hall as well can also still  find money for new furniture, more staff, larger personal expense accounts but cannot find  the money to help the ordinary, poor and needy people during the good and bad times now too. Unacceptable. We all need to care about the unemployed and the poor people, Elected officials now included.
.
It also  seems even  the governments and it’s managers are too often rather still just for sale to the highest bidder… and it doesn’t care who they are involved with or what they are up to or what it looks like as long as they are rewarding themselves or  their friends, and thus they wrongfully and too tend  not too  really look after all of the good ordinary citizens welfare..  this is still never acceptable.
.
They all Civil and public servants, politicians, need to be regularly supervised too. That is why we need and have the auditors, News media, Opposition parties, concerned citizens to do this too.. and it still generally is not enough as we can see. The fish stinks from the head but many cut the tail of first..  That seems how the governments wrongfully does  respond to money and the poor people too now rather than firstly with the major crooks, the real tax abusers too..
 .
“ Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.(Galatians 2:10 KJV)  ”
.
Making all of the poor people, social welfare recipients, those who can afford it the least, to pay for the sins of others is an immoral and  criminal act still.
 .
Furthermore here are thee, 3 things I know for sure in Canada the last 35 years
– It is not the poor people who have  mismanaged the majority of the tax payer’s money… but they do pay for it the most, those who can afford it the least
– if the public and civil servants had better managed the tax payer’s money there still would not  have been likely more money for the poor people cause the rich people would still try to steal it for themselves. I have met even covetous, greedy middle class and rich persons now too.
Thirdly  if all persons paid their taxes, and did not commit tax evasions, an ongoing major unacceptable sin that still do needs to be prosecuted there would be plenty of money for the poor people  assuming it could get to them without being stolen, intercepted again.
 .
Even in my local evangelical church the pastor is also now was wrongfully  being  paid too an astronomical price for his poor services, his poor neglect of the poor people too, and I rightfully also do not agree with this  and say so as well. Jesus himself and the Apostles did not have a fixed salary nor a high paying one
 .
(Isa 10:1 KJV)  Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; 2  To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! 3  And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 4  Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
 .
(Mat 7:3 KJV)  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Phone companies internet at disadvantage

LAPTOP

Telling the truth to all is the best way to deal with any matters now still too.. bad customer services included now.

Internet Cable can be modified cheaper and faster to attain higher speeds over the phone lines

Now “The cable providers have a significant speed advantage over most of Canada’s major phone companies, which provide internet connections over phone lines. Bell and Telus, the two biggest phone companies, are offering speeds with a current maximum of about 15 megabits at a cost of $60 and $53 per month, respectively. In Quebec, Bell has been hemorrhaging phone and internet customers to Videotron, which offers better speeds and prices.

Many of the cable companies are using a network technology known as DOCSIS 3.0, which actually lets them offer speeds higher than 50 megabits.

Canadian internet providers have been criticized for being too slow in rolling out next-generation super-fast internet speeds, and for charging too much for existing services.

A study last week by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development found Canada had the second-highest rates for high-speed internet services ranging between 12 and 32 megabits per second, next to only the Slovak Republic. In Japan, ultra-fast connections of 100 megabits per second are being sold for just over $50 Canadian.

Rogers, Cogeco and Videotron are, however, offering faster speeds than just about every American internet provider.  Rogers Communications is boosting internet speeds in the Toronto area, but will charge a premium for the service. The company announced its new Ultimate High-Speed Internet service with a top download speed of 50 megabits per second, up from 18, and a monthly usage allowance of 175 gigabytes in select parts of the Greater Toronto Area. Customers who currently subscribe to the 18-megabit service will see their speed automatically boosted to 25 megabits at no extra charge, Rogers said.

The new service is considerably faster than the best offered by Rogers’ chief rival Bell Canada, which has a maximum speed of 16 megabits per second, but at $150 a month it is also more expensive than comparable services offered elsewhere in the country.”

” Probably the fastest in Canada? It’s also probably one of the most expensive and slowest compared to other countries. “

“More ISP/Telco lies.  What they are saying is “up to 50MB” and then they’ll throttle your apps to 30k. “NetNeutrality.ca

“a monthly usage allowance of 175 gigabytes” At the speed of 50Mbit/sec you would use up the 175 GB of allowance in just over 9 hours for downloading…” and what do you do the rest of the month?”

” I think it is misleading for the article to talk about these speeds without pointing out that they are all theoretical and that they have nothing to do with the actual speeds that you will get. It doesn’t matter if Rogers has equipment that is capable of a zillion Mbps if they over-subscribe so you only get a trickle during busy periods.”
“The headline should really read “Rogers Offers 50MB Download and Will Finally Deliver the 10 You’ve Been Paying for All Along”  I have never seen my connection at the full amount I’m paying for. I don’t care how fast they *say* it can go, I care how fast it *actually* goes.”

” Why bother upgrading to 50Mbps when u cap, & throttle us we pay for 50mbps u give us 70kbps /sec on our torrents, rogers, bell, aliant & telus u can go …”
“In Stockholm you can get a 100Mbps symmetrical connection (upload and download at 100 at the same time) for about $12 a month.”
” So they throttle their users, steal back bandwidth so they can offer a premium service their customers will never see…. These guys are so badly over-subscribed I’d be amazed if users saw a quarter of that speed.”  http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/08/18/rogers-internet-speed-boost.html

The Liberals are just as bad as the Conservatives in not dealing in Canada  with the lying, price gouging communication firms..  The federal, provincial governments, the CRTC, Conservatives, Liberals  unfairly maintaining  archaic, monopolistic telecommunication firms, that are often   bloated, cost ineffective, incompetent, over staffed, un-competitively managed as well is the main reasons consumer costs falsely keep on going up now.

In its first year, 2007-08,  CCTS was still unable able to resolve about 40  per cent, of the complaints according to its own website. What a very high failure rate.  About one-third of the complaints were related to wireless services. 40  per cent, that is about the number of unhappy Customers with Bell’s Internet services too https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/commissioner-for-complaints-for-telecommunications-services/

Subject: Re: CCTS #02010400029439
Thank you for your poor reply, lies, buck passing. But my complaint is still only with one specific firm Bell Canada that I have had a contract for many years and Bell had breached falsely my contract and falsely had disconnected my internet services and I am asking 2500 dollars in damages FROM BELL FOR THEIR INADEQUATE SERVICES HERE  TOO.. NOW  DO FULLY DEAL WITH IT AND THANK YOU.
Yes it is true that Bell Telephone is still  always seeking news ways by hook or crook as well  to make more money cause it undeniably still loses it’s dissatisfied customers faster than it can gain them.  Bell itself now is always lying for years has always told me it is someone else’s fault for the internet problem and not Bell’s. “Do note that my Bell internet services profile, download speeds  varies, varied from 1 megs, 2 megs, 5 megs, 6 megs, 7 megs, depending on the weather, the day of the week, etc.,  and now all  contrary to Bell’s promises, advertisement of a steady High speed system too, etc., or Bell’s past advertisement that ” Bell delivers reliable Internet access, assuring consumers that they can get on the  Net when they want to and stay there as long as they need”…is also clearly a lie….” Bell’s advertised “Choice of consistent super fast speed” is also a lie for the speed undeniably was slow and varied and too often…  Bell’s advertised “Best price” is also a lie.. and please all do  still deal with Bell’s false capping of my bit torrent too.. on my unlimited download Bell account in Canada.”  Bell for certainty cannot be trusted, it can only be trusted to lie, Bell along with many DSL ISP undeniably lied in their past Internet  ADDS for many years about the advantages of  the internet DSL over Cable too. “The speed advantage of DSL over cable is much higher”, ” DSL-based services results in the ability to guarantee the bandwidth provided by the high-speed DSL connection” ” Cable service providers usually don’t quote absolute performance numbers like the DSL vendors” In real fact Major Canadian DSL vendors like Bell never met their promised speed CONTINUOUSLY or reliably now too anyway and most of the time they were far short of it tooThere was, also is a need for regulatory Government intervention of Bell, ISP providers practices, advertisements too. There has been a lot of evidence, allegations about Bell’s bad  managerial practices,  and it’s motives. It’s mostly been  warranted. Bell  wrongfully sees itself as the sole judge of disputes in their contract obligations too. ..  Sadly AT&T for a start is not the only carrier that doesn’t have presently  adequate  existing bandwidth to support all of their customers, iPhone users  using  an “unlimited” data plan  and that would now include Rogers and Bell? who are clearly already capping their existing customers and others to over come this serious shortcoming,   and in spite of what they do all  promise now they might have in the future I really rightfully do not believe them.  I TOO NOW have been discussing, detailing on the net Bell’s inadequate pretentious, poor services, internet and customer services, specifics included now for many many months.. even in October 2007 http://thenonconformer.blogspot.com/2007/10/choosing-cable-or-dsl-internet-service.html

What started as a simple phone call by me in January 2007 to Bell tech help line to determine why my internet services were so slow and sluggish next had  become a major farce, cover-up on the part of Bell Sympatico. I was next lied to for months as to the real reasons Bell they rather had offered me their poor internet services to me and  to many others in my city for years now too.. and then Bell had even  lied to me some more, had also breached their contractual obligations to me many times too, had allowed me even to be slandered, abused on the Bell customer forums now too.. and why? so  that clearly greedy Bell can continue stay in business to make more money.. and so who really cares now about the customer’s good welfare in reality? now? What not Bell itself, not the CRTC, not the federal government, not our Prime Minister Stephen Harper, not  the the federal Minister of Consumer Affairs, Jim Prentice..  not  any provincial consumer affairs Minister, but only the citizens, the news media, and the NDP party care about the citizens  good welfare really it seems. Not acceptable for sure too!   https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/basic-contract-law/

Imagine that Bell has been in Business for many years and is still guilty now clearly of misleading advertisements, fraudulent and unacceptable business practices, not living up to their contractual obligations, as I now have PERSONALLY WITNESSED, EXPERIENCED  and undeniably detailed to even Bell and many others many times too now . I Paid for a high speed unlimited download service but that is not what I got next. I got low internet speed at a high price. With Bell you have to check your actual delivered speeds , “internet download and upload speed test” cause Bell seems to change it to suit themselves..  ( Acanac Inc. http://www.acanac.ca  , and do  see their speed test ). BELL EXECUTIVES HAVE BEEN  TOO CHEAP, AND STINGY TO SPEND THE NECESSARY MONEY TO DO THE MUCH NEEDY UPDATES TO BELL’S INTERNET WHICH DO LACK FULL CAPACITIES TO SERVICE ALL THE PRESENT CUSTOMERS, NEVER MIND ALL THE FUTURE ONES, SO THEY HAVE TO THROTTLE THEIR SERVICES

More and more, Bell, Sympatico Internet users are finding Web browsing a lot less fun these days for  it took a little time to load the pages, there is continual internet connectivity problems for their Bell ISP provider is totally unreliable, dishonest, inadequate too.

Bell has always had it’s spin doctors spin, lying..  Now this Mis-advertisement of the actual speeds attained  also reflects the common  problem we tend to  have also in Canada with the false, misleading advertising, trade practices by Bell, Rogers, Videotron in regard to the speeds of their iPhone and DSL, ADSL, cable internet services. These Communication, ISP firms amongst others are known to inflate, advertise substantially higher speeds than the consumer will actual get next get on the average, and the  next related internet congestion cause web connectivity problems, and also reductions of the downloads speeds too..

Bell firstly has also not been transparency about it’s internet capping as well now..  Major Canadian DSL service providers commonly employ bandwidth / speed caps for residential customers. Bandwidth caps place an artificial limit on the maximum speed a customer can achieve by monitoring their indCOMPENSATION as soon as possible.ividual traffic flow and throttling network packets .Providers concerned about the capacity limits of their network  implement a cap so that they can accommodate more customers, and make more money and undeniably  do not do this for the sole benefit of the consumer but mainly their own. But I have said much of this before for many months now too already even that Bell will lie, divert the truth and basically try to say that the customers are all still stupid, and the customer’s own computer’(s) are at fault,, they are lacking sufficient processing power or memory, cache and they  cannot keep pace with a high-speed Internet connection. Or the spyware, viruses on the computer when that rarely is the case now too for the slow internet speed,s but rather it is mainly due to Bell’s own faulty, and poorly maintained and poorly serviced equipment…  Bell is one of he biggest liar that I have personally dealt with too..  I had written 300 letters to Bell trying to get simple, straightforward satisfaction, appropriate payment,  answers from them and of course they dishonestly refused to provide any answers.. all they Sasha Rollins,  did eventually is double bill me and next cut of my internet for complaining too much to them.. real perverse people. Nevertheless I posted a full log for about 2 years on the net, too all of the major news editors, major politicians now too  for all to read, and Bell undeniably now did not try to deny it too, as to how crooked they were and how poorly they had actually responded to their false breach of my internet contract too. I now do realize that I have been told many times now by Bell on the phone, on the net that my internet account matter now has been escalated to the Highest level at Bell, specially Bell executive care services, and that as usual I  have been lied too. Bell should pay for internet throttling, Breach of contract too. Telus says Bell should pay for internet throttling dispute: Telus Corp. is supporting consumer groups and small service providers in seeking legal costs from Bell Canada Inc. in a dispute over the throttling of internet speeds. Telus had said it agrees with the Public Interest Advocacy Centre and the Canadian Association of Internet Providers, who say that because Bell started the whole argument over throttling, the company should be liable for all the costs whether it wins or loses the dispute. http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2008/09/19/tech-bell.html http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/08/14/telecom-complaints-ccts-bell-rogers-telus.html

Bell Sympatico now even  wanted an extra payment of 75 dollars if I do not return ASAP their high speed modem as soon as possible, conveniently forgetting that they themselves had wrongfully had breached my ISP contract, and also that they had falsely refused to refund me for an  overcharge of an  extra 55 dollars, to me for this  high speed modem that I had never even requested from Bell Sympatico in the first place, and they too easily seem to forget that  fact they Bell Sympatico had falsely also now tried 4 times to withdraw, steal my  money from my bank account even during the time I as supposed to have  free 6 months high speed unlimited internet as well. An agreement they too had falsely breached now too. Now Bell Sympatico’s executive care  Sasha Rollins had  complained to me in writing 3 times back that in the last 18 months I have written 280 letters of rightful complaints to Bell about their inadequate, pretentious, services, even their false breach of their contract obligations. Me I am even next still even rightfully complaining to Bell Sympatico now that I had even firstly to to write any of these 280 letters of complaints to Bell Sympatico, and I as a direct result do even rightfully still do demand full payment of 2500 dollars from Bell Sympatico NOW  for all my wasted time in even having now to do so now as well, plus further payment for the many years I had paid for a high speed internet services but never got one from Bell Sympatico as well. And I rightfully still expect this rightful  2500 dollars payment to me now from Bell Sympatico ASAP AS WELL , and  so also  NEXT  I too will demand an extra 250 dollars in payment  if they do not pay me my 2500 dollars

Online Petition Stirs Commentary with Calls for End of CRTC mediacaster A petition calling for the dissolution of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, (CRTC) says the regulator has become a burden on the Canadian public, and should be replaced with a new regulator

Dissolve the CRTC ! p2pnet.net

Toronto Star – Neoseeker – Macleans.ca – Dslreports

Dear Minister of Industry,

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) was created for the purpose of ensuring broadcasting and telecommunications systems serve the Canadian public and ensure that Canadians have a wide variety of options to create and view works of media or communicate across the country and the entire world.

We, the undersigned, believe that the CRTC has become a burden on the Canadian public and are failing to perform their duties in the interest of the Canadian public and that of a fair and unbiased telecom policy.

Scrap the CRTC, petition urges  An online petition to dissolve the CRTC  . The petition, at http://dissolvethecrtc.ca/   and on   Facebook and Twitter,  was started Saturday by Mike Lerner, a 23-year-old Ottawa software company employee, who was frustrated by a decision to allow Bell Canada to institute usage-based billing on its wholesale internet customers. The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission last week provisionally approved Bell’s request to require independent companies such as TekSavvy and Acanac, which rent parts of its network to supply their own services, to charge customers by how much they download.Independent providers typically offer customers hundreds of gigabytes of usage where Bell’s most popular service allows only 50 gigabytes a month. Smaller providers now say they have just under three months to migrate their customers on to similar usage models. Once those plans are implemented, they say, their services will be indistinguishable from Bell’s.  The CRTC, the petition says, is failing in its mandate to protect competition and look out for the interest of Canadian consumers and has for the past three years shown “undue preference in the interest of commercial entities and their preference for traditional business models over competing models that would create competition.” “We, the undersigned, believe that the CRTC has become a burden on the Canadian public and are failing to perform their duties in the interest of the Canadian public and that of a fair and unbiased telecom policy,” it says.Lerner told CBC News the government needs to replace the current regulator with a body that is staffed by people who are in touch with the new technology and competition models being introduced by the internet.”You need some people who have experience with telecom but you also need some people who understand the new types of competition. They just don’t have any experience in that field,” he says.  http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/08/19/crtc-petition-dissolve.html?ref=rss

This is all really unacceptable. Monopolistic, big bad Bell is allowed to violate basic  contract laws as well again.

“Want to know why this happens?  Wander around the building in Gatineau where the CRTC offices are. Nothing but hundreds of middle aged women who have never used bittorrent, never downloaded a software update, and never used an open source application.  People completely out of touch how technology is used today!   What DO they care about? Their Big Pension Countdown!”

If the CRTC isn’t going to do their job, then we at least need to examine Bell’s anti-competitive practices under consumer protection laws. They all need to be brought down a few notches. I’m convinced the CRTC is hindering the advance of technology and broadcasting in this country.”

The CRTC’s time has come! Enough pandering to big business interests. I urge all Canadians to support this initiative. The consequences of not supporting this and net neutrality will diminish the online experience for all Canadians for years to come. ”

Rogers, Bell, Videotron, Shaw, Telus  all only care about one thing.. maximum profits.. motivated by maximum greed.. finding an excuse to charge the customer for more.. and that they have done with their regulating, capping… and no one cares about what the consumer thinks, the CRTC or the federal Conservatives as well included. This consumer price gouging perversity has got to stop. I asked the Liberals and Iggy to rightfully speak out against this, and I am  still waiting to hear from them? Why are they not talking about this as well?

Sadly to many of us are like sheep, we do what we are told, because we are fearful of negative consequences, sheep are often afraid of their own shadows as well.. but unfortunately we do not have the luxury of being abused, whether it is verbally, physically, mentally, or what ever.. cause the abusers tend not to stop their abuses upon us unless they themselves do feel some real , personal negative consequences in reality. I too have found when being abused that screaming rape in a loud voice in public, full public exposure and calling the police, demanding the appropriate rightfully prosecution works the best.. sadly the too often lazy, pretentious, inadequate police, watchdogs  themselves can be a real part of the problem and not the solution, so I next expose the bad cops and all the bad watchdogs, politicians  readily as well.

“Bell to charge small ISPs by usage

Last Updated: Thursday, August 13, 2009 | 11:45 AM ET  By Peter Nowak, CBC News

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission has approved a request by Bell Canada to implement usage-based billing for its wholesale internet customers.

The decision, made on an interim basis, could result in lower download limits for customers of smaller companies such as Teksavvy and Acanac that rent portions of Bell’s network to provide their own internet services.

Smaller ISPs, which typically allow customers to download hundreds of gigabytes a month, may be forced to lower their limits to Bell levels. Bell’s most popular plan allows customers to download 50 gigabytes a month.

The CRTC on Wednesday also approved a request from Bell that will allow the company to charge small ISPs 75 cents for every gigabyte over 300 that their customers use.

Smaller ISPs had fought the requests and said if granted, their services would become indistinguishable from Bell’s. The CRTC last year also allowed Bell to extend its traffic management practices, where certain uses of the internet such as peer-to-peer file-sharing are slowed or “throttled,” to smaller ISPs.

Independent companies are therefore required to throttle their own customers as well.

Although the CRTC ruled in favour of Bell during the throttling dispute, it also launched an inquiry into the larger issue of net neutrality, or how much control internet providers should have over the connections they provide to customers. The regulator is expected to make a ruling on net neutrality by the end of the year.

Consumer concern

Internet experts said that with usage-based billing, the CRTC has once again ruled in favour of Bell at the expense of consumers.

“It raises significant competition concerns since it suggests that independent ISPs will further lose their ability to differentiate their services,” University of Ottawa internet law professor Michael Geist said.

“It also calls into question Bell’s claims during the traffic management hearing that they can’t differentiate between providers since the implementation of [usage-based billing] would mean much more detailed info about end users.”

Mirko Bibic, head of regulatory affairs for Bell, said the company’s network-management technology is capable of differentiating between wholesale customers for accounting and usage-based billing purposes but not for traffic shaping, a fact that was made clear in its filings during the CRTC hearing.

“Our statements to the CRTC were and have always been accurate,” he said.

Bell stopped offering unlimited downloading to its own retail customers a few years ago. Throttling and usage-based billing are key parts of its strategy to fight congestion on its network. Critics, however, have said that Bell has so far failed to prove its network is congested.

Rocky Gaudrault, head of Teksavvy, was angry with the CRTC’s decision and said it will limit his company’s ability to offer new services such as television over the internet and could see an increase to customers’ bills of $10 to $20.

“Today’s decision has to send a clear picture to those the CRTC have to answer to,” he said.

“Someone needs to step in and audit how these lawmakers come to their conclusions as predatory tactics, which last I checked were not allowed in Canada, are being allowed to march through the regulatory gates without any resistance, all while laughing in the face of both Joe competitor and Joe public.”

The CRTC has given small ISPs 90 days to prepare for the implementation of Bell’s usage-based billing.”

” Today the CRTC just proved they are corrupt. Only a person of an IQ of less then 80 could not tell this is bad for consumers, Indy ISP’s and small home run businesses.  One of the board members of the CRTC is a former bell and rogers employee, I wonder how much he is taking under the table in cash or stocks.”

“Unbelievable! The CRTC should be dismantled immediately and/or there should be an inquiry into it’s board members. The CRTC does not represent or protect the best interests of Canadians or any company other than the already established monopoly.”

“The CRTC screws Canadians.. AGAIN. This agency is rapidly wearing out its welcome. When Bell is wholesaling access to its system it has NO BUSINESS even knowing anything about the usage of individual customers of another company! It need only know the total usage by Teksavvy (or whoever else) and bill accordingly. Even the wording used by the CBC in this article is slanted. By expressing the issue this way “Smaller ISPs, which typically allow customers to download hundreds of gigabytes a month, may be forced to lower their limits to Bell levels. Bell’s most popular plan allows customers to download 50 gigabytes a month.” CBC is taking sides in a much more complex issue than this paragraph describes. Net neutrality NOW. “

” “Someone needs to step in and audit how these lawmakers come to their conclusions as predatory tactics, which last I checked were not allowed in Canada, are being allowed to march through the regulatory gates without any resistance, all while laughing in the face of both Joe competitor and Joe public.” Brilliantly put. Our internet privileges are slowly being stripped away from us for more and more profit, and the CRTC hasn’t done a thing about it.  Crooks.”

” I find it incredibly ludicrous that the CRTC is made up of ex-Bell cronies! How in the heck is THAT fair and unbiased? Whatever Rocky has been cooking up to deal with the throttling fiasco, he had better shift into high gear and really start researching his options on a fail-safe plan to rid the TekSavvy name from Bell’s medusian gaze forever. Or its out of business for his family for GOOD.  Bell doesnt want you using Usenet, P2P, Torrents, FTP, VOIP or YouTube HD without forking over 50% of your paycheck. Who else in this world has those kind of markups? Answer: The Mafia.  Time to change tactics with Bell. Writing angry letters is not going to cut it anymore.”

“The members CRTC should be investigated. These bunch of crooks are really the public enemies.” ” Canadian Regulators Send Another ( Pornographic) Love Letter To Bell”

http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/08/12/bell-crtc-internet-usage.html?ref=rss

I have just renewed a one year unlimited download contract with Accanac/Bell.. I rightfully oppose to Bell. CRTC putting any caps on my downloads. My tracking number is: 0010400029439    http://www.ccts-cprst.ca/en/

CBC had said “ Bell stopped offering unlimited downloading to its own retail customers a few years ago. Throttling and usage-based billing are key parts of its strategy to fight congestion on its network. Critics, however, have said that Bell has so far failed to prove its network is congested. ” SPECIFICALLY AS OF AN 1,2008 THAT IS NOT REALLY A FEW YEARS AGO BUT ABOUT 1.7 YEARS AGO..  and the move was clearly made to allow Bell to offer rental of  it’s own movies, to provide internet phone for iphones, and to encourage people to get Bell TV  as well

Bell is always seeking news ways by hook or crook as well  to make more money cause it undeniably still loses it’s dissatisfied customers faster than it can gain them

PS   Australia biggest ISP admits to lying Wednesday, August 12, 2009 | 11:15 AM ET CBCNews.ca. Last week saw an interesting revelation from Telstra, Australia’s biggest phone and internet provider. New CEO David Thodey admitted to a court that Telstra had lied to block rival internet service providers from accessing its network. Under previous CEO Sol Trujillo, an American, Telstra had told other ISPs that several of its downtown telephone exchanges were full so they couldn’t install their own equipment and thereby provide customers with their own services. There was, in fact, plenty of space but Telstra was playing dirty tricks to cut its competitors off at the knees.

” These things ARE happening, perhaps not to the extent of demolishing bathrooms, but the lying about full areas definitely occurs. In fact, some small ISPs have had such problems with this that they advise potential new customers to sign up with Bell for a month (no contract) and then migrate over to the wholesaler. This is because when wholesalers put in the line request, they are often told that the customer can not receive DSL or that the customer will receive a much lower speed profile.

In regards to the Competition Bureau, our Bureau consciously ignores all anti-competitive behaviour from Bell. When Bell started throttling its retail customers, they lost a large number of subscribers to DSL wholesalers. Bell then unilaterally and magically decided that their network was congested because of wholesaler traffic and started throttling their wholesalers. This was an unbelievably anti-competitive move. However, how did the Competition Bureau respond? They referred all complaints to the CRTC, claiming that all telecommunications issues were the responsibility of the CRTC. Fast forward a few months. An association of small Canadian internet providers, the CAIP, files a tariff application with the CRTC asking for access to Bell’s new upgraded network. The CRTC agrees and gives Bell notice to submit their expected costs from this move. What does Bell do? Bell ignores the CRTC order and instead submits a proposal to impose Usage-Based-Billing on all wholesalers, with absolutely ridiculous overage fees of nearly $1 per GB, with no maximum penalty. The CRTC recently granted this proposal on an “interim” basis. This, despite the overwhelming submission of comments against the proposal. The CRTC even acknowledges that the proposal discriminates against wholesalers, but claims that it is not “unjust discrimination”? Huh? It is worthy to note that Bell Retail is NOT included in this proposal, and Bell only just today added a new $5 for 40GB insurance plan to its offered internet services. Smells like anti-competitive behaviour to me.”  http://www.cbc.ca/technology/technology-blog/2009/08/australia_biggest_isp_admits_t.html?loomia_si=t0:a16:g12:r5:c0.0952911:b27157388

 A few moments to read..

No 1 Best Seller? Sleeping Pills amongst many other things!

As posted on the net the truth is that Canadians warming to minority rule: poll ???? HA HA HA

and everyone in  Politics these days is sadly still a big liar it seems too.. at the federal and at the provincial levels,, they lie to get reelected  and THEY LIE WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE HERE TO BE RESPONSIBLE TO LOOK AFTER THE GOOD CITIZENS OF CANADA IS BASICALLY THE REASON WE PREFER MINORITY GOVERNMENTS CAUSE WE DO NOT TRUST ANY MAJORITY PARTY. We need to and want to stop electing all liars into any government job, political office, newspapers, news media as well.   There are yes too many  false sheep who worship those crooked leaders, shepherds, pastors dressed in nice suits.

MY DAD USED TO TRY TO CONVINCE ME THAT THE CROOKS ARE STILL NOT REALLY BASICALLY BOTHERED BY PUBLIC APPROVAL, EXPOSURES, NEGATIVE REVELATIONS, GUILT, but I knew already that was not true by the number of sleeping pills they all seem to have to take to try to get some rest, sleep. My dad next finally admitted that most people would be bothered by a poor public image of them, for a good reputation is worth more than any amount of silver and gold in reality.. Canada’s ex Prime Minister Brian Mulroney admitted he was very was bothered that in his retirement years when he should have been glorying in his past positive accomplishments instead he now was being stressfully troubled, embarrassed by much of  the negative, unpleasant  public dredging of his past poor acts. SOMETHING HE RATHER WOULD HAVE NEVER FACED TOO. AND IN MOST CASES IT TENDED TO SOLIDIFY HIS GENERALLY ALREADY POOR PAST REPUTATION HELD BY MANY PERSONS.  Some people with a troubled conscience will next go to a very  drastic measures to get sleep.  We all even recently heard of the drastic steps that the rock star Michael Jackson himself used to take to try to get some decent sleep and in the process it seems killed himself?  Do see also http://wittnessed.wordpress.com/2009/08/26/dementia-and-the-past/

This is not the kind of leadership most Canadians would accept from a Prime Minister, particularly conflicts with the standard of an professing evangelical Christian. A total inability to get along with all of the others or to forgive any of them. Explains why Harper is so unpopular in the  Polls and why he fails  to reach the a majority government too.. people out of touch with reality tend to justify such a negative  approach as well.. The  way he treats the media is clearly seen by many also as how bad also he would treat now most anyone too.

Behind PM’s war with media 18, 2009 04:30 AM  Two years ago, Calgary television journalist Lynn Raineault completed a Master’s thesis that explored Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s ongoing battles with the Parliamentary Press Gallery.  As part of her research, Raineault conducted interviews with seven prominent Conservatives, including Preston Manning and Geoff Norquay, a former director of communications for Harper when he was opposition leader. To her surprise, she found that most of those Conservatives believed Harper was his own worst enemy when it came to getting favourable media coverage.  They cited two main factors in the ongoing conflicts between the PMO and the press: Harper’s deep-seated belief that journalists in the press gallery are ideologically opposed to Conservative governments; and Harper’s character, which was described during various interviews as introverted, stubborn, impatient and controlling. Manning said Harper is “not the kind of person to forget slights.”  According to these insiders, Harper views the press gallery as a nest of liberals who are unwilling to give Conservatives a fair shake. But most of the Conservatives didn’t see it that way at all. They acknowledged that at its core the press gallery is a liberal-leaning institution, but five of the seven Conservatives also reported that journalists for the most part do provide balanced coverage, even if the Prime Minister doesn’t see it that way.  Tom Flanagan, former chief of staff in Harper’s office, said he doesn’t believe journalists in Ottawa are driven by ideology, as Harper does, but by career ambitions and a certain group-think that can take over the press gallery.  Flanagan also said that Harper’s “strong, silent-type approach,” is inadequate when it comes to explaining complicated policies such as the decision on income trusts in 2006.  Of all the Conservatives interviewed, only Ezra Levant, former communications director for Stockwell Day when he was opposition leader, seemed to delight in what he described as Harper’s “marginalization” of the press gallery. Levant believes there will be little or no political cost to the government for Harper’s attitude toward journalists because most Canadians hold to the same view.  Apparently, Harper’s stance toward the news media arose out of his experience as opposition leader, when he concluded he could not get his message to the public through the bubble of the Parliamentary Press Gallery. So the Conservative press office was instructed to find ways around the gallery and eventually turned to direct distribution of “news” to radio, smaller local newspapers, weeklies and free community papers. In essence, it set up a parallel news service.  The insiders also spoke of Harper’s “gamble” with the press gallery. They said he was engaged in a high-stakes game to eviscerate the press gallery because he perceives it as a potential obstacle to his winning a majority government. They said Harper had already decisively reined in the other possible impediments to achieving his goal: his cabinet and his caucus. Harper’s communication strategy doesn’t seem to be working very well. He has difficulty convincing almost anyone but himself that heavy-handed control is the way to go; two more key communications personnel left the PMO’s office earlier this summer and have yet to be replaced. The majority government he so badly wanted eluded him in 2008 and according to recent polls still looks to be out of reach. But perhaps his biggest mistake is underestimating Canadians’ distaste for a leader who looks more like a puppet master than a prime minister.  Gillian Steward is a Calgary writer and journalist. Her column appears every other week. http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/682310

No matter what the much too many lying Conservative spin doctors now do try to say to us all I rightfully no longer believe anything automatically that any Canadian  Conservative Cabinet Minister or Conservative member of parliament says, especially when they now do  lie to us and say that they are looking equally, and fairly after all the citizens of Canada, the Canadian persons of all race, nationality, all ages, all sex now too.. We already have ample proof that the Conservative Job creation program has been guilty of false partiality towards Conservative ridings.

I also do do not believe them rightfully and especially when they say the big recession is ending shortly when these same fools initially would not even firstly admit that Canada was facing a recession now too.. they the Conservatives clearly and simply  cannot be trusted at all based on their poor performances to date. And I would not believe them just as much as I would not believe the much too often lying RCMP, Police Commissions now as well.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/06/searched-for-and-read-the-most/

and what about also the worries about more of the revelation of the inappropriate past unrepentant personal  bad acts now too?

Almost since my first job after graduating from university I had learned that TOO MANY people are not to be trusted, they always do need to be supervised, and major corruption still exists in construction, universities, municipalities, governments, corporations, and amongst the professionals and politicians as well. Such is real life.

The ongoing lessons of life even in Canada will be and are these: One cannot abuse others and get away with it forever. Laws, government institutions now are made for the good of all persons  too. Even in Canada proper policing, management ,  supervision  human rights commissions are a real fact of life, society, in schools, life,  in churches, governments, commerce, institutions, civil and public services, professional services too,  and elsewhere, even on the net,  for you will always have those 30 percent at least of the persons who will try to cheat, lie  , steal, bend the rules, falsely believe they are above the laws, Self  regulation alone is too often pretentious, farcical, often not applied as well. That applies especially to the professionals, civil and public services, police, municipalities, politicians and even in the churches now now as well..

Self regulation of all organizations, personnel tends to be mostly still just immoral masturbation.. lawyers, pastors, doctors and nurses included. Public exposure and real prosecutions of the really guilty persons does work now a lot better.

Also if all of the evil persons, politicians included, are not also punished, made to face negative personal consequences themselves they really will not next stop their wrong doings. (Eph 4:28 KJV)  Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. (1 Cor 11:31 KJV)  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

Sadly too many of us are still like sheep, we do what we are told, because we are fearfull of negative consequences, the sheep are often afraid of their own shadows as well.. but unfortunately we do not have the luxury of continaully now being abused, whether it is verbally, physically, mentally, or what ever.. even cause the abusers tend not to stop their abuses upon us unless they themselves do feel some real, personal, negative consequences in reality. I too have found when I am being abused that screaming rape in a loud voice in public, full public exposure and calling the police, demanding the appropriate rightfully prosecution works the best still.. sadly the too often lazy, pretentious, inadequate, no good, usless  police themselves can be a real part of the problem and not the solution, so I next do also expose the bad cops readily as well.

APPROPRIATE  PUBLIC EXPOSURE AND THE APPROPRIATE PROSECUTION OF THE GUILTY SERVES EVERYONE’S BEST INTEREST

FOR A GOOD NAME IS WORTH MUCH MORE THAN ANY AMOUNT OF SILVER OR GOLD AND A TARNISHED ONE IS WORTHLESS.

(Prov 22:1 KJV)  A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

(Eccl 7:1 KJV)  A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.

Hey we all seem to know there are too many crooked politicians, cops, professionals,  civil and public servants, RCMP too  around these days, even in Canada well let me let you know  again about  a non loudly advertised fact, reality- that we do not have to accept any of it , or put up with it..  for we all can firstly expose them for what they are now, the alcoholics, drug abusers, cheaters, liars, crooks, tax evaders, imposters, pretenders, hypocrites … and secondly we must demand their rightful job dismissals and even their crimminal prosecutions too..  and now that is what I also do for the good of us all..  for my blog is full of pages of the media detailed personal inadequacies of the much too many bad persons in the police, governments, civil and public services, etc., all exposed bad acts now that we do not have to accept at all.

The RCMP acts make for bad reading..

Prime Minister Mr. Harper let him now first get back at trying to govern Canada instead of being a hypocrite to all that he had one preached to others..Also the Federal funds to battle pine beetle have disappeared, Hundreds of millions earmarked to clear deadwood used elsewhere. The federal government has been busy backing away from providing millions of dollars to reduce the threat of pine-beetle-killed wood.  The federal money could have been used to help clear the dead wood, providing firebreaks that could have prevented fires from coming within hundreds of metres of communities, B.C. First Nations Forestry Council vice- president Bill Williams said. But hundreds of millions of dollars earmarked for the pine-beetle program disappeared from this year’s federal budget, replaced by an economic stimulus plan that barely mentions the beetle crisis. In 2005, as opposition leader, Stephen Harper promised that a Conservative government would provide $1 billion over 10 years to control the mountain pine beetle.  But the 2009-10 federal budget merely mentioned pine-beetle infestation as part of the economic stimulus plan and did not specify a dollar figure.  Asked how much of the federal funding has been spent and whether the $1-billion program had been cut,  “That’s a question that would be more appropriately asked of a federal representative.” Harper’s office did not return calls Thursday. rdalton@vancouversun.com http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Federal+funds+battle+pine+beetle+have+disappeared/1891993/story.html

Canada’s Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper instead of governing properly now has spent the summer travelling across Canada trying to buy taxpayers’ money left and right ,in his case, mostly right, doing hypocritically something that while he was an opposition leader he condemned the governing Liberals for doing and said he would not do it, but now he is doing it as well.  Harper counting  that for all the money he’s liberally spending – about $23 billion in 63 days — voters will support him on election day.  Harper calls it “stimulating the economy.” Pierre Trudeau used to call it “passing out the candies.” Same thing. Often it has been the very same thing. The $90 million Pitt Meadows Bridge in B.C. was first announced in 2005 as part of the Liberal government’s Pacific Gateway Strategy.  Harper went there this month to re-announce it. He jumped up and down on the bridge to announce the same construction over again.

Let’s face it: The stronger the Dippers and the more they eat into the Liberal vote, the greater the chances that Stephen Harper and his family will continue to enjoy their chef’s fine food and that great view overlooking the Ottawa River after the next election, notwithstanding the Conservatives being supported by a mere 36 per cent or so of Canadians. Plus he’ll have the power to name senators and judges and fly around the world in his own jet meeting interesting folks like Barack Obama,  Sure, Mr. Harper will not achieve a majority Conservative government; as long as the Bloc remains strong in Québec, no party will. Still, being in power atop three successive minority governments has its rewards:  unless he comes up with a new game plan, it’s looking less and likely that Michael Ignatieff will ever get the chance to show whether he can measure up to that standard  http://www.theglobeandmail.com/blogs/spector-vision/harpers-great-white-hope/article1253405/

Thank God for the BQ, they serve a useful purpose after all, they do keep the really bad leaders from getting full power.

US President Obama had one of the highest pre-election support of any past American presidents, and  next very high expectations of him doing good  for all of the American people were also associated with him.. but the reality has after the election has turned sour, many of his supporters are not going along with him, and he is finding out that he alone cannot help, run the country.. nor improve the Medicare systems  too.

Sadly our Canadian President, excuse me Prime Minister Mr. Harper who thinks, acts like a president, he too has tried to mostly do things all alone.. and as we have seen his popularity, perception  rating is not that great. Yeah I know Harper says he does not care what the poll say, or it seems what the people think of him and his  GOVERNMENT, AND THAT IS WHY HE IS ALREADY A 3 TIMES LOSER, A MINORITY LEADER

by the way I support more refugees being allowed to come to Canada..

James Bissett: Why our refugee system stays broken –  Canada’s refugee policy has been driven and monopolized by special interest groups. All of the parties know the refugee system is dysfunctional. All of them know reform is essential. But none of them have been willing to do anything about the problem. Our flawed refugee policy has caused our southern border to become effectively militarized. It has damaged bilateral relations with friendly nations, and has hurt our international trade and tourist industry. It has thrown our ability to secure our borders and function as a sovereign nation into question. We are one of the few countries in the world that allows anyone from any country to enter simply because they claim to be persecuted… full-time refugee-industry advocates…  immigration lawyers and consultants — who make thousands of dollars defending asylum seekers… .. supported by a multitude of NGOs, which receive millions of dollars in government funding to care for and help asylum seekers… have a stake in making sure the system remains bloated and dysfunctional.. The determination of whether a claimant is a real refugee is decided by an impartial Refugee Board. During the adjudication process (which can take years), however, those who arrive receive generous welfare payments, housing, free medical care and free legal representation. The Immigration Department estimates that one asylum seeker costs the Canadian taxpayer roughly $30,000 dollars per year; and by far the majority of asylum seekers remain in Canada for several years. Should their claim be refused, there is little likelihood they will be sent home. They can seek leave to appeal to the Federal Court; and if refused, there are a number of further reviews and delays that can be exercised. The result is that the HIGH number of rejected asylum seekers end up settling in Canada… Yet any attempt to reform the system,   is met with a storm of protest..  http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2009/08/26/james-bissett-why-our-refugee-system-stays-broken.aspx

AND WHAT NOBODY MENTIONS FIRSTLY THE  VAST, COSTLY MOSTLY USELESS,   DYSFUNCTIONAL, PRETENTIOUS  FEDERAL  IMMIGRATION AND REFUGEE PUBLIC  SERVANTS THAT WE HAVE HAD NOW ALSO FOR DECADES TOO BEHIND ALL OF THIS? JUST MORE OF THE UNNECESSARY GOVERNMENT WASTE OF MONEY LIKE IT SEEMS  OUR SENATORS ARE NOW TOO. TELL HIM ALSO MR STEPHEN HARPER IF HE ALSO THINKS THE VERY EXPENSIVE SENATORS NOW ARE SO BAD WHY DOES HE KEEP ON APPOINT MORE OF THEM TOO. HYPOCRITE

No Surprise here self centered Stephen Harper and the Conservative clearly, often do not care about the good welfare of anyone but themselves.. Feds lack urgency in face of isotope crisis, MD says

The research studies are  in and they’re saying texting while driving is not only illegal — it’s really dangerous, distracting to good and safe driving .Texting, also known as SMS (short message service), refers to the 160-character messages sent and received on modern mobile phones. Distracted drivers are too often the cause of road accidents all the time, many of which lead to serious injury, even death. A recent study has shown texting while driving is proven to increase your likelihood of having an accident while drive by more than 23 times.  Now no matter what age, even while using a phone familiar to them, and with no traffic, road signals, or pedestrians, drivers are seriously distracted when they are typing out a tiny 160-character message. Texting while driving is a distraction,  so is eating the lunch you just grabbed from the drive-through, reading, checking navigation systems or making CD changes. The list is also limitless. It’s up to us all to serioulsy recognize what we should and shouldn’t be doing while we are driving. Along with a year around ban on driving and texting, drunk  driving too, must come education. Much the way “don’t drink and drive” has become a phrase everyone knows, “don’t text and drive” needs to be just as well versed. At the very least, when texting is the cause of an accident the case should be prosecuted criminally, much the way a DUI case is handled.

Nicholson, the member of Parliament for Niagara Falls and a senior Conservative cabinet minister, sent brochures out to hometown voters boasting his government’s response to the global economic crisis is “today’s plan for tomorrow’s success.”  Impeccable timing. These flyers, extolling the successes of the Conservative government, always seem to land in mailboxes just as election talk heats up. This time, Nicholson cites the International Monetary Fund saying “your Conservative government acted early to tackle the global economic crisis; delivered the right stimulus at the right time.”  Interesting spin, but most Canadians will recall Conservative Finance Minister Jim Flaherty introduced stimulus spending with a political gun to his head.  http://www.niagarafallsreview.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1695923

Oh, the irony: Nicholson and Harper, champions of stimulus – A typical lying lawyer’s spin and I was once naïve to believe that Justice Ministers especially were honest persons who did not lie.. but no longer naïve, we need now to appoint a new honest justice minister for sure.

A white policeman  falsely  arrested  the renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his home  Massachusetts.  Gov. Deval Patrick, once the top civil rights official in the Clinton administration and now, like Obama, the first black to hold his job, labeled Gates’s false arrest as “every black man’s nightmare.”  This also happens to many white men who oppose police brutality and injustice though, me included now, The governor told reporters: “You ought to be able to raise your voice in your own house without risk of arrest.”  and you can add to that the Natives now as well… EVEN IN Canada. Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. had just returned from a trip overseas and, upon arriving at the property with a driver, found his front door jammed and had to force it open. By the time police arrived at the house, he and the driver had managed to get inside the property. According to police, Prof Gates shouted at the officer and accused him of racial bias. Police Officers were called to Prof Gates’s house after a woman reported seeing two black males – the professor and his driver – trying to force entry.  Prof Gates was still falsely arrested outside his home after providing the officer with identification. As the court records will show I also was arrested and fined in the Calgary Chief of police office cause I had said out loud rightfully you cops are crooked..  In reality too Cops are not the only one who resort to violence when their authority is threatened, so do some bad pastors now too..   as I do also know. …  and we all should by now know the RCMP also do lie.. the actual number of unsolved criminal cases would be a lot higher if the police actually investigated all the citizen report they do receive. I have sat in police stations and watched the police lie and refuse complaints brought to them by the other citizens too… never mind those phoned in.   I think only one of over 5 criminal  complaints about the criminal abuse of me or others was ever reviewed with even, and even that one took months of complaining to the police.. and that was the charge of physical assault of me by  a rogue Pentecostal pastor who punched me , in front of a witness, cause I had refused to go to his church.

At the RCMP too, the thin blue line is alive and well as the Robert Dziekanski case  best still  exemplifies it. this poor, abused  Robert Dziekanski, who died, or rather was murdered,  after a continual Tasering by four RCMP officers in the Vancouver airport in 2007. Next  the evidenced to all perverse RCMP lineup at the inquiry was a study in rehearsed. lying fabrication supported by also perverse senior brass, including a false police-testimony soundtrack completely out of sync with the reality of what was happening, all done  in spite of the evidence of  the famous video of the RCMP Dziekanski takedown. Certainly now without that video of the same  Polish immigrant’s death, any internal RCMP investigation would undoubtedly continued to  have determined to all that this matter again too  was a another justified police response instead of the now much too  obvious case of RCMP incompetence, and overkill. And   despite the undeniable need, logic now of putting all of serious RCMP allegations under independent investigations to ensure, enhance the reliability of real Justice, RCMP  findings and to improve its transparency, the false, perverse  RCMP foot dragging now continues but also not one of the Dziekanski murders, and accomplices have yet been convicted of any criminal wrongdoings as well. Now how much more perverse can this all get now too still all while the also perverse federal justice Ministers sit on their hands and do noting again about it all?

EDMONTON – Alberta is to announce new rules on when police can use conducted energy weapons such as Tasers. Solicitor General Department spokeswoman Michelle Davio says the changes will include setting up tighter boundaries on when Tasers can be used and the need for ongoing testing of the weapons – which deliver an intense electric shock. Davio says the changes expected to be announced later this week by Solicitor General Fred Lindsay will apply to all police in the province, including RCMP. Last week the B.C. government ordered all police in that province to severely restrict the use of the stun guns following the release of the Braidwood Inquiry report. The report, which looked into the death of a Polish man in Vancouver in 2007 after tussling with four RCMP, says that 25 Canadians have died after encounters with Tasers. Saskatchewan’s Police Commission says it is considering the Braidwood report as it completes its own Taser review and will decide this fall whether to change its policies.
CALGARY – Tasers in Alberta will be tested annually under new guidelines released by the provincial government.  Police officers will only be allowed to use the conducted energy weapons under certain circumstances set out by the document. It also says an officer who believes a suspect may cause injury to him or herself or a bystander can use a Taser, but someone who is simply running away isn’t enough of a reason.  A use-of-force report must also be written every time one of the weapons is deployed.  Alberta has been reviewing its Taser policy and also looked at the report into the 2007 death of Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver International Airport after he was repeatedly zapped by a Taser.  The B.C. government responded to the report by ordering all police to restrict the use of stun guns.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090731/national/tasers_police_policy

Aug. 11 — Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, Canada’s biggest pension-fund manager, had an unrealized first-half loss of C$5.7 billion ($5.2 billion) on real estate, wiping out a 5 percent gain by other investments.  The Caisse’s real estate debt holdings declined to C$8.6 billion on June 30 from C$10.8 billion at the end of 2008. The fund lost a record 25 percent in 2008.   The Caisse had unrealized losses of C$2.2 billion on real estate debt, C$1.8 billion on declining values on properties, C$1.3 billion related to private equity and infrastructure, and C$400 million on asset-backed commercial paper. Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec had C$120.1 billion in assets on Dec. 31.  Last year, the Caisse lost $39.8-billion or 25 per cent of its assets, making it among the worst performing pension funds in the country. The pension fund stubbornly refused to release its financial results, despite numerous reports of its losses, and the Caisse’s performance became a hot-issue  in Quebec political circles and the province’s election campaign. No wonder the ex Quebec Liberal finance Minister Monique Forget resigned suddenly and unexpectedly

“The job market is nowhere close to swinging back into the positive and Alberta and B. C. are among the worst,” Canada is seeing many good jobs replaced with costly self-employment part-time work lacking the full time dental, health benefits too and face it these people will pay a lot less federal taxes and dig deeper into their savings,  or  DEBTS.. and you can for sure include  the associated rising health costs, as many person’s health will also worsen by the related job, family stress now too.  Canada lost three times as many jobs as economists expected last month, led by construction and tourism-related businesses, signaling the country’s recovery from a recession may be slow.

Liberals continue to enjoy wide support in Atlantic Canada and Quebec, while the Tories have a commanding lead in the Prairies. The two parties are more or less neck-to-neck in Ontario and British Columbia.

Canada lost 45000 jobs in July: Statistics Canada

Calgary’s last-minute strategy to challenge Edmonton for Expo 2017 is beyond the pale, beyond rude and beyond belief. The political gambit is so offside–so off the decency dial!

“Prime Minister Stephen Harper attended the recent G8 meetings in L’Aquila, Italy. He spoke with reporters following the meetings and openly admitted he favours a one-world government. He joins many other heads of countries voicing the same slogan and implementing policies to force us in that direction. Oh, to be sure, he tried to pre-qualify the statement, saying each nation would remain sovereign, but arguing there is a need for “global governance,” a nice, soft word meaning one-world government. Wake up, Canada. This is like being just a little bit pregnant — either you are or you are not.  Either we are sovereign or we are not. By the actions of this and former Canadian governments, one can only conclude the latter. Harper, his Conservative government and the rest of the actors in Ottawa continue to commit treason. I call for his immediate resignation.  Harper and almost every other MP, regardless of political party, are facilitating the demise of Canada. Whatever happened to personal integrity?” G.McIntosh Ashcroft   http://www.bclocalnews.com/opinion/51233282.html

Harper, Ignatieff reach deal to avert summer election  OTTAWA – CANADA’S Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff have reached a deal to avert an election – at least until the fall.

Now it is no secret that most of Stephen Harper support comes form Alberta and not at all from central or eastern Canada… and it is no secret that when they were not in power the hypocrtical Conservatives had said elect us into power and we will be different, we will be a better government, but now once elected they repeated most of the bad things the other parties did, such as lying, putting their friends into good paying governmental jobs, discrimination, partiality, giving more money to the Conservative ridings but what is surprising is that the hypocritical Conservative supporters who now are silent on all of this, still falsely approve of their rather non Conservative government and leader Stephen Harper.. who even now still does not have a democratic federal government, a majority government, cause he did not get 51 percent of the votes even..”More important still, the increasingly entrenched notion that Canadian prime ministers, more or less like U.S. presidents, draw their power directly from the people would have been exposed as what it is: A self-serving fraud.” And more LIES AND FRAUD TO STAY IN POWER ARE  MORE CORRUPTIONS.

“Of course, the Harper Conservatives came to power decrying the abuses of previous Liberal governments and promising a new era of openness. But in office Harper has undermined the democratic process in alarming ways. He has imposed a culture of secrecy and virtual one-man rule that makes a mockery of our parliamentary system. This is not what Canadians voted for. Instead of greater transparency, there is opacity. Rather than MPs being empowered, lobbyists are being enriched. In power, the Conservatives promptly made a mockery of Parliament’s committee system by compiling a secret playbook for blocking opposition MPs who might want to examine government operations. Out of a pathological fear of cabinet ministers or public officials going off script, the Harper PMO has also stifled individual ministers and senior bureaucrats. Departments such as Foreign Affairs, once quick to share news with the public, have gone into a deep freeze. ” http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/656851

“MPs, for too long, have used tax money as a means of distributing ingratiating largesse to their “favourites.” The public can’t afford such lax and despotic control over their hard earned taxes any more.” and “Where MPs got the idea they are above submitting details of all their spending of taxpayer money, is unknown. MPs are our servants. It is not for them to tell the taxpayers to go “fly a kite.” It is for the taxpayers to direct the MPs to divulge details of all expenditure of tax monies.”http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/656798

Prime Minister Stephen Harper seems contemptuous at worst and indifferent at best to the role of Parliament. We all need to be Concerned about the federal government’s ability to manage the economy too. The Conservatives have had it wrong from the start when they said there wouldn’t be a recession and that there would be a surplus. Today we have a recession and an ever-increasing $50-billion deficit. A different reality indeed.  The Conservatives  had promised to get money flowing for jobs within 120 days of the budget.  The deadline has come and gone, with not much to show for it.   The Conservatives   had  DONE LITTLE. Instead we’ve lost over 350,000 jobs while infrastructure money from last year’s budget that could have stimulated growth and created jobs  never made it out the door. Adding insult to injury is that their stimulus plan is not working. Their infrastructure program is paralyzed and hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost. The Conservatives still have no plan to restore fiscal responsibility. Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff blamed the Conservative government for promising to help municipalities and the economy with infrastructure money and then not coming through with it in time to fund most projects for this summer.

Mayors say construction season slipping away with no sign of stimulus cash Thu Jun 4,  WHISTLER, B.C. – Canada’s big city mayors say this summer’s construction season is slipping away with no sign of the economic stimulus cash promised by the federal government.

A trade war between Canada and the United States over “Buy American” policies would hurt both countries, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said Sunday, a day after Canadian municipalities passed a resolution that could shut out U.S. bidders from city contracts. At the annual general meeting of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities narrowly passed a motion on Saturday to bar bids from companies whose countries impose trade restrictions with Canada. Ignatieff said he’s not in favour of retaliatory action to shut American companies out of the multibillion-dollar municipal and provincial procurement market,  “A war over access to procurement at the state and local government level on both sides of the border is bad for Canada and bad for the United States,” said Ignatieff.  AND WHERE IS OUR USELESS PM STEPHEN  HARPER IN ALL OF THIS?

In general in the more  liberal society of Canada both the wife and the children tend to have much more freedom, rights, make their own decisions,  over many other countries , Such as central and eastern Europe, Russia, Asia, Africa  and as a result the culture shock after moving to Canada can be  a very real problem for some new immigrant husbands  where the husband sees his family role as being obeyed, and being the sole head of the home.   Thus  it’s not altogether uncommon for some of the new Canadian immigrant  home situations to become  unacceptably violent when the dominate husband feels his authority is being undermined.  Wife beatings as a result are common, and children who witness it are severely traumatized, can develop both bitterness and hatred. And it tends to make  the home matters worse where the husband now is also an alcoholic on top of all that.   In reality too Cops are not the only one who resort to violence when their authority is threatened, so do some bad pastors now too..

Monday June 15,2009 Canadian Press  VANCOUVER — A judge has decided the inquiry into the death of Robert Dziekanski will be allowed to make findings of misconduct against the four RCMP officers involved. The officers who stunned Dziekanski with a Taser at Vancouver’s airport challenged Commissioner Thomas Braidwood’s authority to make findings of misconduct against them. Braidwood had warned the officers he would consider allegations made at the inquiry — that they acted improperly and then lied to cover up their actions. The officers claimed those allegations amount to criminal offences, which public inquiries can’t do. They also argued that federal police officers are outside the jurisdiction of a provincial inquiry. But Justice Arne Silverman rejected those arguments, which means the inquiry can resume as scheduled this Friday with closing submissions.

What kind of Judicial Banana Republic is the R.C.M.P. hoping for? The finding of Self-serving testimony is sure a nice way of saying perjury. When an organization limits judicial findings, or tries to stifle it, that organization has to be dismantled. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2009/06/08/bc-taser-inquiry-notices.html

Mother of man shocked by RCMP Taser wants Poland to investigate son’s death Sun May 31, 9:38 PM VANCOUVER, B.C. – If she can’t see justice done in Canada – the mother of a man killed after being shocked by a police Taser wants Poland to dispense justice to  responsible RCMP.

CANADA  WHERE THERE IS A SEPARATE JUSTICE, TAX SYSTEMS FOR THE RICH AND POWERFUL SUCH AS BRIAN MULRONEY, CONRAD BLACK.  INCIDENTALLY THE RCMP CLEARLY FAILED ALSO TO GET ANY OF THESE BAD GUYS TOO.  Now a good name is worth more than silver or gold and these men’s reputation has gone down the drain and their money will not next buy it back too.. they are the laughing stock of many Canadians now and that is life. The RCMP included now. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/04/09/the-mulroney-schreiber-affair/

HEY I ONCE HAD WRITTEN A LONG TIME AGO THAT THE TOO OFTEN SELF CENTERED, PROUD PEOPLE OF ALBERTA DO REALLY NEED TO STOP BASHING THE POOR PEOPLE, AND THOSE ON SOCIAL AID, FOR A DAY WILL COME THAT THEY TOO WILL BE NEEDING SOCIAL AID AND THAT DAY HAS COME..

Here is a basic simple introduction to the context of many of my messages, in Canada there are much too many liars, crooks, cheats, perverts, ungodly persons everywhere, in the church, police stations, in politics,  and elsewhere. There are too many also who are disguised as wolves in sheep clothing, including crooked, dishonest professionals, doctors, lawyers, accountants, business persons, cops, RCMP, pastors, priests as well.. dream on if any of them wrongfully do think I will accept their evil deeds quietly.. Exposure and prosecution of the bad, guilty persons serves everyone’s best interest.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/05/21/why-many-businesses-fail/

Clearly Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper  is still popular in the West, cause he pretends to be a Westerner, advocating  independence, family, relgious, moral, democratic,  fisical restraint values, and he was supposedly a non Liberal too.

but Harper is despised now  in  Quebec because he clearly seen as just another Anglophone out to get what he can for himself and  who to me would likley rob his own mother to get richer.

You need also to get used to this fact  people lie, and often too, so does our PM stephen Harper, so do  many of the politicians, ministers, civil servants and cops, RCMP  now too as well as you do know.. so do the statistics, polls as well.. and when you read about 10 percent uemploynment presently , 10 percent of reduction in manufacturing in  Canada this year, thus  you  now can easily, safely double those figures and that is how bad the Canadian situation really is too..

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) – Canada’s Liberal Party, which has been climbing in recent opinion polls, is also regaining its financial footing and the political unity it needs to fight a new election, leader Michael Ignatieff said on Thursday. But Ignatieff added he was still in no rush to force an election so soon after last October’s vote, and told party activists they still had hard work to do to regain the Liberals’ standing as a “national institution” that could elect candidates in all parts of the country..”We have a unified party. We have a party out of debt. And we have a party basically ready to fight an election,” he told reporters in Vancouver at the start of the Liberal’s Party national convention.

Bashing the Americans may get some Canadian  politicians elected or re-elected, for it may appeal to the people who love to hate others, especially any  Americans but the sad truth, reality is that it will not bring more food to the Canadian tables but it will only make matters worse for all Canadians.

The House of Commons should spend the next couple of months focusing on reforms to employment insurance and pensions, not electioneering, says NDP Leader Jack Leader.

little doubt that we remain deep in the heart of the recession, but didn’t our Prime Minister Stephen Harper say not long ago there wasn’t a recession and the Canadian economy was strong?

Every day police officers leave their homes and families and put their lives on the line for a salary, cause this is what they are being paid for, hired for and this does not mean that they are now even free of any negative criticism while they are doing their paid  duties, especially when there are so many outstanding questions regarding their    inappropriate use of authority, force by too many police officers,  plus the unacceptable false  cover ups of their wrong doings and their unacceptable lying now  too.  Plus basically  nothing has even changed in the Vancouver airport customs area since the RCMP’s death of the police immigrant Dziekanski. And there are still concerns about Liberal candidate Kash Heed and his former role as West Vancouver police chief and his unexpected retirement from the force less than two years into his contract, “There’s still a lot of anger about a $40,000 severance payout even though he voluntarily quit in February, leaving many unanswered questions about his status on the force,”  to supposedly avoid legal prosecution too. “The cops have a responsibility to follow moral leadership and let me tell you, the cops do not have that here [in Abbotsford] “NDP candidate for Abbotsford South, Bonnie Rai. These are all valid issues, concerns too.

If what we have been told about the fatal shooting of a Vancouver man by a female police officer is true, it appears front-line cops have learned little from the Robert Dziekanski incident at Vancouver International Airport in 2007.

It is ironic this happened just days before the Braidwood inquiry resumed with testimony from the RCMP officer in charge the night Dziekanski died. There are striking similarities to both incidents.   In both cases, we have a witness who disputes the official police version of what happened. And in both cases, a witness apparently caught the incident on camera. Adam Smolcic claims police seized the cellphone he used to record the fatal shooting. He also alleges that police deleted the video capture. In the Dziekanski incident, Paul Pritchard also had his video camera seized by police, and only got it back after he threatened a lawsuit. (Police say they needed to hang onto it until all other evidence they were looking for was in their possession.) Smolcic is making some pretty serious allegations: that police shot and killed someone who could have been subdued with pepper spray or a baton, and that police then tried to cover their backsides by tampering with evidence.
  00trust2
Abbotsford Police have now been tasked with investigating the shooting. That investigation should also delve into Smolcic’s allegations. Smolcic is reported to be a marijuana activist. In the past, the word of a pot advocate wouldn’t have counted for much when weighed against the word of a police officer. Sadly, it may be easier for the public to believe Smolcic than the police. That’s how badly the Dziekanski incident has shaken the public’s trust in the police. http://www2.canada.com/surreynow/news/viewpoint/story.html?id=64e57161-c603-4208-b83e-b712c4ac1558

” I noticed that some Americans have two traits. One is gullibility, they believe everything newspapers, radio, and TV news Medias tell them, and some even hold the media more sacred than the Bible and the word of God. Others are incapable of keeping an open mind, or in having the interest to investigate further if what they are being told is true. Secondly, there are some that don’t like to hear the truths. There is that famous Jack Nicholson’s movie line in A Few Good Men, “You don’t want the truths, and you can’t handle the truths!” But maybe, is it because the truth hurts and that’s why some people stick their heads in the sand?” Like so many Canadians now too.. even the evangelical ones..

As I have already posted on the net many times my own direct personal fellowship, undeniable witness in Calgary , Alberta   with key conservative, evangelical pastors , leaders  of the Calgary Christian Center, Bearspaw House of prayer, Calgary First Alliance Church, Salvation, Evangelical free church, Bowness Full Gospel Church, FGBMFI, Don Ross Ministries, and others …, was that many of them did not hesitate to cheat, lie, steal, slander, or to put their family members on the church payroll, or even to abuse  others and they also did  much more bad things. So why would I be surprised if Stephen Harper and his colleagues now are unacceptably not much better?

Canadian “Christians constitute less than half of the proportion of the population that their counterparts represent in the U.S. Even at their best organized, therefore, they could never match the strength of the American Christian Right. Nevertheless, the battles over lesbian/gay rights, particularly from the mid-1980s on, and even more so from the mid-2000s, very much energized the political voices of conservative Christianity – Protestant and Catholic. The capacity of the Christian right to mobilize constituents, largely through the willingness of clerics to encourage followers to contact politicians, has no real parallel in other social movements, and can provide a wave of public response intimidating to politicians of various stripes. The real strength of Christian mobilizing at this time was the capacity and willingness of local church leaders, particularly on the Protestant side, to mobilize a religious flock that met weekly in worship. At the federal and provincial level, they were able to mobilize letters, petitions, phone calls, and personal visits to politicians in unprecedented numbers. These organizations have grown significantly not only in the resources they can marshall for applying political pressure, but also in the sophistication of their approach. In a parliamentary system, they recognize the huge significance of having a government in power that is open to their concerns.  ” and what would that mean now if they were misled by a wolf in sheep clothing such as Harper.. too?

Imagine that now our Canadian Conservative  Prime Minister Stephen Harper who could not foresee, predict the recession, has his own opinion on what had caused it, and why should any of us believe him now too?

Conservative’s one sided  attack on others, by Harper as well are most unfair. Telling the truth about the Conservatives immoral, bad acts is often falsely rejected as being hateful.. but it is not hate when the Conservatives do it???  The ” people who act irresponsibly in the name of freedom are almost never willing to take responsibility for their actions.” – Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who now also should apply this firstly still to himself and his own Conservative party and not merely preach it to others. It absolutely amazes me still as to how Stephen Harper and the Conservatives are so ready to preach about, to see the supposed sins of the Liberals, and yet they cannot firstly see their own sins, when they do the very same thing that they are accusing the liberals, others of doing.. and now why is that?

Note FIRST to the evangelical ostriches who deny back to me  the negative reality, as per the  witness at the Western  Standard blog who had REPORTED in Writing AS WELL ON this event below  sponsered by Preston Manning, and Stephen Harper as the surprise speaker,  some of the people present there were now Getting DRUNK ON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. This was NO CHRISTIAN, CHURCH GATHERING for sure, but a main political event. How dumb evangelcial Conservatives can believe any of these two guys are now supposedly Christian is beyond me.

“March 13 (Bloomberg) — Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in a speech yesterday that Wall Street, consumers and homeowners caused the global recession, the National Post reported, without saying where it obtained the text. Harper said the belief that people could live beyond their means led to the recession, the Post said. Harper was speaking in Ottawa at an event organized by the Manning Centre for Building Democracy, an Alberta-based research institute. Harper’s office declined to provide a copy of his remarks when contacted by Bloomberg. ” Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper should look into his own backyard. It was the price gouging oil companies who caused the recession, forced 50 percent of our American consumers, car exports, to stop buying.. because it was too costly to own a car.. so how come he cannot see the truth.. he is in the pocket of the oil companies still too?

I have also  clearly said that to many Conservative party supporters, the professing Christian ones included now  are big  liars, hypocrites, and that is undeniable now as well for decades too especially in the West and elsewhere. Canadian Conservatives loudly they claim they believe in democracy, their  rights, their freedom of speech, their own right to be heard, their right to govern, but they next do too often do rather deny me my own right of free speech, my rebuttal of their lies, my detail post of their immoral acts, on the net and elsewhere openly under some false excuse, and that evidently to all now makes them liars. They also to often tend not to hesitate to abuse me, slander me, bully me, and that makes them perverts too. They really do not care about the truth, other people’s rights but mainly and solely their own it seems for sure.  I too have now learned along time ago that the bad men and bad women like to disguise themselves as good persons too and they like to ,  want to have all the sole rights, the rights to do all the talking as well, and all it takes for these evil persons to continue to prosper is for the good persons to do nothing, well real  life does not work that well, I thus do not mind, do not hesitate to tell the truth, even if they falsely label is hate, vile, and I do not mind to expose the liars, cheats, thieves, con men, imposters and to rightfully demand their persecution and incarceration too, no matter who they they they are, or how important they now do think they are.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff says Ottawa hasn’t been upfront with Canadians when it comes to unemployment and the crumbling economy. ” Prime Minister Stephen Harper is misleading, LYING TO  Canadians on the real scope of the economic recession, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said. Contrary to Harper’s claim Canada is better off than the United States, 300,000 jobs have been lost here since October 2008.  Mr. Harper is telling the country that we are in less worse shape than the Americans. We know, in fact, that for every 10 jobs lost in the United States per capita, 15 are being lost in Canada. Bottom line, Canada is losing jobs faster at the moment than the United States.” Ignatieff added, the Liberals opposition recently discovered the Conservative government had budgeted an additional $3 billion in infrastructure spending in last year’s budget but never got around to spending it. “Who knows what the number of lost construction jobs would have been this month but it would not have been 42,000, I can tell you, it would have been lower,” Ignatieff said. the Liberal leader believes Canada likely wouldn’t have shed as many jobs as it has if the Tories had spent that money. New figures show Canada lost another 82,600 jobs in February, pushing the unemployment rate to 7.7 per cent, its highest level in more than five years. Speaking in Montreal following a meeting with the city’s mayor, Ignatieff said the Conservatives have also failed to “deliver the merchandise” when it comes to municipal infrastructure spending.

Prime Minister Harper’s view that Canada will pull out of a recession faster than other countries  have been greeted with skepticism by many forecasters, who think he may be far too optimistic OR WORSE UNREALISTIC. Although Mr. Harper made it clear that Canada will not turn the corner until the U.S. banking crisis is fixed, he did say “we will come out of this faster than anyone and stronger than ever.” But many economists are leery of the view that Canada will turn around more quickly than the United States. FACTS ARE WHAT IS NEEDED NOT MERE SPINS, FALSE SPECULATIONS..

PS anyone who is naive to say to me from Alberta now too  that a professing Christians do not drink alcohol, get drunk just should read all the letters I often do get from professing Christian pastors acknowledging they drink wine, alcohol and trying to justify it.. I have often written about this too

We can and must uphold biblical values upon all persons like the ten commandments only  but Let me be clear there is no Biblical injunction that a political ruler,  leader must be a Christian, and secondly you cannot force a person to become a Christian, he or she  has to do that  using his own free will, choice, voluntarily submitting to God. Church Pastors need to set exemplary behavior firstly as well.

The other  significance of our pretentious, hypocritical, imposter Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s speech last week to hard-line conservatives was he was revealing his true colours.. his hatred of others included.

last week when Harper delivered a speech to a gathering of true blue conservatives at a fundraising event for the Manning Institute for Democracy, a think tank headed up by Preston Manning, founder of the Reform party.

The press was not given notice of the speech in advance, so it went mostly uncovered, which may explain why the Prime Minister sounded more like the Harper of old. His speech was highly partisan and littered with snide references to the “left-wing fringe groups” and the “liberal left.” Others targeted by the prime minister include:

  • The Senate, the judiciary, and “countless other federal institutions and agencies,” which are filled with “Liberal insiders and ideologues.”
  • The Obama administration in the United States. “Unlike our friends to the south, we are cutting taxes, not raising them.”
  • Wall Street financiers and individual homeowners and consumers, who caused the economic meltdown because they “bought into a very unconservative idea that they could live beyond their means.”
  • The CBC. “We as Conservatives inherit an incredible legacy, (although) you would forget this sometimes listening to the CBC.”
  • Parliament. “I would never use Parliament and reality in the same sentence.” The opposition parties were described as “that toxic coalition brew of Liberals, socialists and separatists.”
  • The United Nations. “Instead of polling the General Assembly of the United Nations, we are taking principled, unequivocal positions.”

Harper also took a stab at defining conservatism. ” “I like to summarize my idea of conservatism in three Fs – freedom, family and faith.. ”

but when we are clearly head for a church, Harper  induced Police  state where is the real freedom

PM Stephen Harper has been accused of abandoning basic Conservative values. I maintain that he and his cabinet never had any, for  they are still sleeping in their stone age caves practicing the survival of the fittest..

Only 39 percent of the Americans are truly informed as to what is going on around them, and a  whopping 46 percent of Americans don’t know what’s going on with the economy, and they cannot give any opinion about it.. But the  recent Pew  Survey had showed that 80 percent of Americans had still next cut spending because of the economic situation and only 30 percent of them had to cut cost because they were faced with worsening financesPew had asked a random sample of 1,000 Americans whether they had started to tune out the dire economic coverage. Fewer than 15 percent said yes. Forty-six percent said that they don’t have enough knowledge and background information to understand the crisis or evaluate the proposed solutions.
