Quebec Liberal leaders, a bad sense of what bad people are like. Why?

Why is it now that the Quebec Liberal leaders, are known to associate with the really bad persons.

Lu Chan Khuong  had this year become the first elected female president of the  Quebec Bar Association  and she is also the partner of Marc Bellemare, former minister of justice under the Liberal government of Jean Charest.  The board of directors of the Quebec Bar asked the president, demanded her  to resign on Wednesday and suspended her after she refused  after was  reported she shoplifted jeans. In its statement, the board indicated that Khuong confirmed being the subject of a complaint for shoplifting in a store in Laval, and that her file was processed under the “program to deal non-judicially with certain criminal offences committed by adults” in 2014. The non-judicial handling of her  offence can be decided on by the Directeur des poursuites criminelles et pénales when the act is a minor offence that doesn’t pose a real threat to society. The decision is only taken when it has determined that the fault attributed to the offender is an offence that can be proven. Diverting the charges is often offered in exchange for community service.

59-year McGill University Health Centre CEO Arthur Porter, the former Canadian spy-agency head and McGill University hospital administrator  has died in a Panama   of cancer on Tuesday , where he was in jail fighting extradition to Canada to face fraud charges.  The Crown wants proof Arthur Porter died in Panama . At the peak of his power, Arthur Porter enjoyed the rarefied luxuries of a Caribbean villa and a chauffeur-driven Bentley, boasting of contacts with heads of state from around the world  — including no less than the present Premier of Quebec,Philippe Couillard .  The Quebec prosecutor handling the multi-million dollar fraud case involving Arthur Porter says she wants Quebec police to verify that he is actually dead, she wants to see official reports verifying accused fraudster’s death Tuesday. Two Quebec anti-corruption officers sent to Panama have been assured  Arthur Porter really is dead.  “The visual identification of the body of Arthur Porter turned out to be sufficient for us to formally confirm his death,” Just to be extra sure, however, UPAC investigators did take fingerprints from the deceased as well as DNA samples.  A week after Porter was first reported dead, of lung cancer in a Panama hospital, the legal case against him is now officially closed.

But  ” the investigation into the McGill University Health Centre bribery scandal will continue, and accusations still stand against Porter’s seven alleged accomplices. Porter, along with his right-hand man at the MUHC, Yanaï Elbaz, was accused of rigging the bidding process to build the $1.3-billion superhospital in exchange for some $22.5 million in bribes. Also accused are several executives from SNC-Lavalin, which “won” the contract, as well as those who allegedly laundered the money — like Porter’s widow, Pamela Porter, who pleaded guilty in December for her part in the scheme. So far, some $17.5 million in assets have been frozen.”

Arthur Porter  who so assiduously courted politicians —  including Philippe Couillard (when he served as health minister in the mid-2000s) — later became a political pariah after a warrant was issued for his arrest more than two years ago on corruption charges. Arthur Porter, M.D., also the former dismissed CEO of the Detroit Medical Center, Dr. Porter, whose management style had already raised questions during this job, at the Detroit Medical Centre, was later charged in one of the largest corruption and fraud investigations in Canadian history.  the  Police allege  Porter received $11.25 million in secret commissions for rigging the contract to build the new McGill University Health Centre superhospital in SNC-Lavalin’s favour.   The Crown alleges Porter received part of a $22.5-million payment from Montreal-based engineering giant SNC-Lavalin in order to fix the call for tenders to ensure the firm received the lucrative contract. Porter left the DMC to head McGill University Health Centre‘s hospital network, where he was administrator from 2004 to 2011. In late 2011.

Porter also quit the MUHC amid concerns he was involved in too many private business deals. He returned to the Bahamas, where he announced in January 2013 that he had lung cancer. Four months later, Porter and his wife were arrested by Interpol agents at Panama’s international airport on the MUHC warrants. Among Porter’s belongings was a passport from Sierra Leone which he claimed gave him diplomatic status.  In total, nine people were charged in the alleged MUHC scheme, including two other former MUHC executives and three ex-SNC-Lavalin ones. Porter was the only one not to appear in Quebec to formally answer to the charges. Porter moved to Nassau, Bahamas, just ahead of a lawsuit filed by McGill and charges by Quebec prosecutors of conspiracy, embezzlement, fraud against the government, breach of trust and related crimes related to the construction of a $1.3 billion “super hospital” in Montreal. Porter, a medical doctor and cancer specialist,   was arrested on an international warrant in Panama City in May 2013,  while in La Joya prison he was fighting extradition to Canada .

In the  Summer of 2005, Porter flies to Baltimore with Premier Jean Charest and Health Minister Philippe Couillard to persuade the Shriners at their annual convention to keep their pediatric orthopedic hospital in Montreal. Their gambit works and marks the beginning of a working relationship between Couillard and Porter.

Porter  founded a consulting company with Couillard in 2009, almost a year after Couillard left public office.

On  June 15:,  2009  Porter and Couillard were elected directors of mining company Canadian Royalties, almost a year after Couillard resigned as Quebec’s health minister and as a member of the National Assembly. The two sat on the board of Canadian Royalties until Dec. 16, 2009.

Quebec’s anti-corruption task force suspects Porter and four high-profile  executives involved in the construction of the McGill University Superhospital  were part of a massive fraud conspiracy.UPAC issued arrest warrants Wednesday morning for Arthur Porter, Pierre  Duhaime, Riadh Ben Aissa, Yanai Elbaz , Jeremy Morris. UPAC confirmed  Wednesday that Elbaz – the former associate director general of the MUHC – is in  custody and will be charged Thursday. Duhaime — the former CEO of SNC-Lavalin – will turn himself in to Surete du  Quebec headquarters Thursday morning, He has already been charged with fraud. Ben  Aissa — another former executive at SNC-Lavalin — has already been arrested  and questioned by police for his possible role in other plots. Quebec’s police task force on corruption is probing the billion-dollar contract for McGill Montreal mega-hospital awarded to a consortium led by Montreal engineering giant SNC Lavalin Group Inc. SNC-led consortium had won the McGill University Health Centre contract. Police raid the McGill University Health Centre . Up until six months ago, the hospital project had been overseen by Riadh Ben Aissa, a former head of SNC’s construction division, and also a central figure in an ongoing scandal. One of SNC’s original subcontractors in the project was a company controlled by construction magnate Antonio (Tony) Accurso – a controversial figure who now is also facing fraud and corruption charges. The hospital deal was put together under the watch of the previous chief executive of the health centre, Arthur Porter who left his own job under a cloud late last year. Arthur Porter had been appointed chair of the federal government’s security-intelligence watchdog agency, when his African business dealings with an arms dealer were revealed. Dr. Porter stepped down from both jobs. The Quebec government has earmarked $2.35-billion for an effort to reconstruct Montreal hospitals, the lion’s share going to the McGill University Health Centre campus. “Quebec’s anti-corruption unit has put several high-profile figures in its crosshairs since being established last year. It has arrested construction magnates such as Mr. Accurso and Paolo Catania, as well as Frank Zampino, a former city councillor who was the right-hand man of Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay.”

Not much of a surprise? The tip of the iceberg is being revealed only as  the overall depth of corruption will take much more time apparently to uncover, corruptions that likley permeates the whole project. Birds of feathers tend to flock together. And no one should tell us that  these initial suspected persons, now  were even  just isolated individuals acting on their own without the vast help and knowledge of any others now too. Former CSIS watchdog Arthur Porter arrested in Panama .Arthur Porter, the well-connected oncologist and hospital administer whom Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed three years ago to oversee Canada’s spy agency, was arrested with his wife in Panama on charges including fraud against the Quebec government relating to his alleged role in the handling of a $1.3-billion Montreal hospital construction and maintenance contract, awarded three years ago to scandal-plagued engineering giant SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. The head of Quebec’s anti-corruption task force made the announcement Monday evening. In a written statement, Robert Lafreniere said the arrest was conducted after an investigation — code name Project Lauréat — by the Sureté du Québec, the RCMP and the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).Dr. Porter and his wife, Pamela Porter, are in police custody. Mrs. Porter is accused of handling the products of crime and con   Efforts are being made to extradite the couple to Canada, according to the statement.

Wife pleads guilty to laundering money for former spy watchdog Arthur Porter .The wife of Arthur Porter, the accused fraudster and former head of the federal spy watchdog, has admitted to laundering millions of dollars stolen from the public purse. Yet Dr.  Arthur Porter, and  still insist the whole event is a lie, perverse fabrication, they are  not guilty of any wrong doing.. and Dr. P. Bad Dr Porter’s relationship with Dr. P. Yes the same person Couillard could not spot a crook even as he worked with him for years..  but I can work with a person one day and likely tell you if he is a crook, immoral or not..  and that is why I tend to spell Liberals as Lieberals..

The really bad  Liberals  including DR Philippe Couillard  who had  allowed this province to go down in a mess, corruptions THEY STILL REALLY do not deserve to be a governing party ever. I am not a politician, but as an ordinary Citizen I knew that Dr Porter was likely clearly corrupt, the MUHC corrupted, and the city of Montreal as well and I had objected to it. And if Pauline Marois and her separatist  party fail to address the corruptions now properly, instead of sweeping it under the table as has been done wrongfully  for decades, they too  do not deserve to be a governing party ever Both the Liberals and the PQ parties had failed to properly deal with English language laws already too..

Too many persons really cannot face the reality there are things in their life that need serious, drastic changes. These people in denial are the ones who often need professional help for their own short comings, sickness. Their false denial, diversion, distortion does not change the negative reality about their own unacceptable acts. Corruptions occurs now Not just in Churches, amongst the police, politicians, civil and public servants. These People in the state of false denials, clearly also who lie often, they do now also tend to have severe personal, mental disorders next even cause one tends to eventually believe next ones own lies as being the truth, and they can no  longer differentiate their own lies from reality, the truth. By their false denials Who is fooling whom? You cannot fool all the people all the time and now matter how smart you are there is still someone more wiser who can see the truth still too. . Narcissistic, selfish, self centered Mental Disorders too evident now even in many of the so called Professionals even bad pastors, leaders leads these persons to dwell in self-absorption, fantasy, illusion, where she or he has exaggerated claims to talents, importance, or specialness, manifesting evidence of a need for constant admiration from others, a lack of empathy for all others, persistent in this too, have rigid personality traits and coping styles, clearly inflexible, do show a hypersensitivity to any criticism , defeat or negative realities thus they rather are pathological in denial by the their falsity, contrived replacement of the truths which they still must face eventually . These SEVERE PERSONALITY disorders are generally personally ongoing too leading to more impaired social and/or occupational functioning and can make it difficult to pinpoint a clear dividing line between their pathology and their so called normality. Most of these people with their personality disorders may not perceive that there is anything wrong with their behavior and thus they are not motivated to change it. It is important to note that these personality disorders are considered to have their onset in late adolescence or early adulthood and they alone are responsible for it too.

Again false Denial, it is very   common when many an individual, even amongst so called professionals, even in pastors now included, are openly confronted with their own wrong doings, that they resort to a false denial. When confronted with the truth the denier they often respond with a similar personal counter attack remark as ”you are crazy”. “I reject your reality… and substitute my own.” Their false denial, diversion, distortion does not change the negative reality about themselves still though. Sadly it is a negative natural human tendency to devolve into denial.” It’s not just a moral compass that’s lacking, but the ability to honest, or to stand apart. Denial often comes out of a false pride, a fear of being openly exposed as being wrong. Denial is a false convenient escape, excuse for inaction for persons now facing a situation that requires a decision or action that conflicts with his or her established past policy. Denial too often can be further disastrous upon themselves and others.. for denial is not seeing data at all or seeing it and coming to an erroneous conclusion within oneself. One’s false denial is often based on a false assumption of one’s past great success and often precedes their own severe personal failure next due to a personal disconnect with real life. False Denial (also called abnegation) is a often defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence, a mechanism of the immature mind that conflicts with the ability to learn from and cope with reality. The subject may now deny the reality of the unpleasant fact altogether (simple denial), admit the fact but deny its seriousness (minimization) or admit both the fact and seriousness but deny responsibility (transference). The concept of denial is particularly related to the denial of one’s addiction to alcohol for example, or to one slandering others, abusing them stealing, lying.. their denial or their minimization of their own wrong doings is the essential part of what enables them next to  continue his or her behavior in the face of evidence that, to an outsider, that is overwhelming. “The American Heart Association cites denial as a principal reason that treatment of a heart attack is delayed. Because the symptoms are so varied, and often have other potential explanations, the opportunity exists for the patient to deny the emergency, often with fatal consequences. It is common for patients to delay mammograms or other tests because of a fear of cancer, even though this is clearly maladaptive.”

Types of Denial include now Denial of fact: This form of denial is where someone avoids a fact by lying. This lying can take the form of an outright falsehood (commission), leaving out certain details in order to tailor a story (omission), This form of denial involves avoiding personal responsibility by blaming, minimizing or justifying. Denial of responsibility: Denial of impact: avoiding thinking about or understanding the harms their behavior have caused to themselves or others. Denial of awareness: they do not admit any previous awareness of the negative reality. Denial of cycle: Denial of cycle is where a person avoids looking at their decisions leading up to an event or does not consider their pattern of decision making and how harmful behavior is repeated. Denial of denial: This latter form of denial typically overlaps with all of the other forms of denial, but involves more self-delusion. People in a false denial are really nuts, delusional..

There are tools and practices that we can implement to overcome the psychological trap of anyone’s false denial. The Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty is one of the best approach serving everyone’s best interest too.
