Quebec’s pretentious FREE medical services

Quebec’s pretentious medical services

Vive le CHUM! was the rallying cry from those attending the official inauguration of the new French-language hospital, held in the presence of Premier Of Quebec Premier Of Quebec, Quebec Health Minister  Gaétan Barrette, former Prime Minister of Canada Brian Mulroney, Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre, hospital directors, among other dignitaries. .The Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal was a saga of almost 20 years in the makin,. The CHUM is the largest university hospital center in Quebec. The new CHUM is one of the largest hospital centers in North America. It brought together the teams and patients of Hôtel-Dieu, Hôpital Notre-Dame and Hôpital Saint-Luc under one roof.

Quebec can be proud of having such a vast and modern infrastructure, Couillard told a crowd gathered for the ceremony. It’s a great collective accomplishment that deserves recognition, he said. “It’s a marvellous building but above all a resource for patients and for Quebec society, and on a world-class scale,” Couillard said. “ Every year approximately 345,000 outpatients, 22,000 inpatients and 65,000 emergency patients are seen at the CHUM.

The opening of the CHUM super hospital is the last phase in the modernization of Montreal’s major hospitals, totalling more than $7 billion in direct and indirect costs . Among those projects were the expansion of the Jewish General and Ste-Justine hospitals, as well as the construction of the two megahospitals, the MUHC affiliated with McGill, and the CHUM with Université de Montréal.

The new hospital complex has three office-type towers with 25 floors, 772 private patient rooms, There’s also a critical care unit, 39 operating theatres, including dedicated ORs for robotic surgery, heart surgery, neurosurgery and transplants, pharmacy and blood bank.

It seems some people still want to get paid even if they are inadequate, incompetent for their job, the work they were hired for even for this  event at CHUM.

The Quebec government spent millions of dollars building now a new 772 bedroom CHUM St Luc hospital and yet their Emergency services are worse now than before even. The Emergency department accepts about 3 patients every hour, and has at least 30 patients wanting to get seen by a Doctor.

When after 7 hours I had complained to the emergency nurses on duty of my long wait and I still had not seen they doctor yet, they replied if I  thought their services were bad they should try the Quebec regional hospitals were they waiting time is up to 24 hours, then one nurse said she knows there is a problem but everyone else has to wait this long, and one nurse said if I did not like their services I should go to another Hospital.

The Security guard on duty told me that 350 hospital employees had quit their jobs at St Luc last month. I wondered why they had quit..

The  CHUM Cardiac services are still excellent but the CHUM Dermatology is not good at all.  I had received excellent emergency, medical care previously at the Montreal Hôtel-Dieu Hospital  The closing of Hôtel-Dieu will mark the end of an era. The hospital — established by Jeanne Mance, the first nurse to practice in what was then known as New France in the mid-1660s — had scored a number of medical firsts over the years, including the world’s first removal of a kidney in 1868.

Report it ASAP

stop

In Canada, sexual assault is a violent criminal offence ranging from unwanted sexual touching to violent, non-consensual intercourse, commonly referred to as rape.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was accused of “groping” a young female reporter on assignment in August 2000. “Like father, like son” reads the editorial. https://t.co/7GiBEd6RIr

“Didn’t he learn through his vast experiences in public life, that groping a strange young woman isn’t in the handbook of proper etiquette, regardless of who she is, what her business is or where they are?”

Sexual assault and harassment are persistent forms of gender-based violence that are rooted in gender inequality. It is estimated that in one year alone there were more than 600,000 sexual assaults in Canada. Sexual assault is one of the most underreported crimes If you’ve been sexually assaulted, or sexually abused call the police, write to the news editors, make it public. Canada has criminal prosecution for sexual offences, abuses.

Canada’s Criminal Code has no specific “rape” provision. Instead, it defines assault and provides for a specific punishment for “sexual assault”. In defining “assault”, the Code includes physical contact and threats. The provision reads:

265. (1) A person commits an assault when
(a) without the consent of another person, he applies force intentionally to that other person, directly or indirectly;
(b) he attempts or threatens, by an act or a gesture, to apply force to another person, if he has, or causes that other person to believe on reasonable grounds that he has, present ability to effect his purpose; or
(c) while openly wearing or carrying a weapon or an imitation thereof, he accosts or impedes another person or begs.
(2) This section applies to all forms of assault, including sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, threats to a third party or causing bodily harm and aggravated sexual assault.
Interestingly, the definition ‘appears’ to include threats of sexual assault as a sexual assault itself. This suggests a person could be convicted of sexual assault without physically touching the victim if they make a threat of sexual assault

The Criminal Code also allows for increased penalties for sexual assault where the accused “wounds, maims, disfigures or endangers the life of the complainant”, see:

273. (1) Every one commits an aggravated sexual assault who, in committing a sexual assault, wounds, maims, disfigures or endangers the life of the complainant.
Aggravated sexual assault
(2) Every person who commits an aggravated sexual assault is guilty of an indictable offence and liable
(a) where a firearm is used in the commission of the offence, to imprisonment for life and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of four years; and
(b) in any other case, to imprisonment for life.

You can still sue or criminally prosecute a guilty offender even if the sexual assault occurred many years ago. Hold perpetrators accountable for their actions. If we don’t, we reinforce the notion that abuse and assault are acceptable. It allows abusers to defend and continue their actions.

Over a six-year period between 2009 and 2014, police reported 117,238 sexual assaults in Canada where sexual assault was the most serious violation in the incident. Almost all (98%) police-reported sexual assaults were classified as level 1 offences (assault without a weapon or evidence of bodily harm). According to the General Social Survey on Canadians’ Safety (Victimization), there were 22 incidents of sexual assault for every 1,000 Canadians aged 15 and older in 2014. This represented approximately 636,000 self-reported incidents of sexual assault. While anyone could be a victim of sexual assault, research has shown an elevated risk for women and young individuals.

Sexual assault offenders were most often men, acting alone and under the age of 35. Just over half of victims knew the person who sexually assaulted them. The rate of sexual assault was higher among Canadian especially aboriginals, woman, who were single, never married. Research has shown that individuals with disabilities—particularly women and those with mental disabilities—are at greater risk of sexual violence, which may be partially attributed to greater vulnerability, negative social attitudes and perceptions, and abuses of trust.

no

Substance, use drug use, binge drinking are associated with higher rate of sexual assault, especially among women. Evening activities—such as going to work, night class, meetings or volunteering, or going to bars, clubs or pubs—were all associated with higher rates of sexual assault Another life experience associated with higher rates of sexual assault was homelessness

The risk of sexual assault was impacted by marital status. Individuals who were single were about four times more likely to be sexually assaulted than those who were married or common-law. Age also had an impact: individuals aged 15 to 24 were over three times more likely to be sexually assaulted than those aged 35 and older.Aboriginal identity also significantly impacted the risk of sexual assault after controlling for other factors. Individuals who identified as Aboriginal were over two times more likely to be sexually assaulted than those who were non-Aboriginal.

A medical patient can become the victim of a sexual assault by a doctor. Sexual assault by doctors includes any inappropriate touching that goes beyond the required scope of the examination. It can also include the doctor performing unnecessary examinations, or intentionally not wearing gloves during an examination. Given that doctors routinely perform pap tests, pelvic exams, and other procedures involving intimate areas, patients are particularly vulnerable to sexual assault.

Students in Canada also are at risk of being sexually assaulted by a teacher or other school employee. sexual assaults against students are being reported more frequently in Canada than ever before. This is resulting in both an increase in criminal prosecutions of teachers and students suing for sexual assault.Taking action against the teacher and school is important and helps prevent others from being sexually abused. Such actions force schools and governments to take action to protect children and stop more sexual assaults from occurring.   If a student is sexually assaulted by their teacher, or by a school employee, the school board (government) may be found vicariously liable for the student’s sexual assault lawsuit. This effectively means that the government will have to pay a future settlement or judgment to the victim

Report all Sexual attack: “Has anyone forced you or attempted to force you into any unwanted sexual activity by threatening you, holding you down or hurting you in some way?” Unwanted sexual touching: “Has anyone ever touched you against your will in any sexual way…anything from unwanted touching or grabbing, to kissing or fondling?”Sexual activity where the victim was unable to consent: “Has anyone subjected you to a sexual activity to which you were not able to consent…where you were drugged, intoxicated, manipulated or forced in ways other than physically?”

The Truth still even About Alcohol

no drugs (1)

The devil spreads many, many myths about beer, wine, drugs, hangover cures and whether or not they are good for you.

What does alcohol actually do to the human body? How does it affect behaviour and what might be done to lessen, or even prevent, its most harmful effects? Nothing real good comes from any of them, believe it or not.

.

The Cost of substance use in Canada tops $38 billion, with booze and tobacco presently on top.with a staggering toll of 67,515 deaths. The study by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction and the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research, was based on health, justice, lost productivity and other costs. We do need to think more carefully as we move toward legalizing recreational cannabis. Canadians need to be  aware of the ongoing and escalating human and economic costs.  More than one alcoholic drink a day could take years off your life. According also to  other researchers, roughly 20 per cent of all violent crime would not have occurred if the perpetrator was not under the influence of or seeking alcohol. Alcohol ‘directly causes’ seven forms of cancer. Governments across Canada, all put together, got roughly $10.5 billion in revenue and taxes from the sale of alcohol in 2013-2014, according to Statistics Canada, still much less than the $14.6 billion that the researchers estimate alcohol cost. Reports also do  says alcohol harm on the rise for Canadian women. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2018/05/31/who-is-next-2/

.

NO ALCOHOL (7)

Alcohol, or ethanol, is a sedative, hypnotic drug, and the intoxicating ingredient present in wine, beer, and spirits.   Although it is classified as a sedative, hypnotic drug, it has a stimulant effect in small amounts. Alcohol is known to be harmful to developing brains (from fetus to adolescence).Intoxication impairs judgment and can result in inappropriate and illegal behaviors such as sexual promiscuity, disorderly conduct, driving while intoxicated and acts of violence. Roughly 1 in 10 deaths among working-age adults results from excessive drinking. The most serious side effect of alcohol consumption is respiratory and central nervous system depression. When the amount of alcohol in the blood exceeds a certain level, or if other depressant-type medications are taken in combination, the respiratory system significantly slows down, resulting in a lack of oxygen to the brain. This can quickly progress to a comatose state and eventual death.

The Truth even About Alcohol comes as governments around the world strive to improve public health and safety and raise awareness about the dangers of addiction. Heavy drinking is a major cause of preventable death in most countries. And alcohol is implicated in about half of fatal traffic accidents. If all drinkers limited themselves to a single drink a day, we probably wouldn’t need as many cardiologists, liver specialists, mental health, medical professionals, and substance abuse counselors.

Heavy drinking will take a toll on the body. It can cause inflammation of the liver (alcoholic hepatitis) and lead to scarring of the liver (cirrhosis), a potentially fatal disease. Heavy drinking can increase blood pressure and damage heart muscle (cardiomyopathy). It has also been linked with several cancers: The World Cancer Research Fund and American Institute for Cancer Research indicate that there is convincing evidence linking alcohol use to cancer of the mouth, pharynx, larynx, esophagus, breast, and colon and rectum in men, and probable evidence that its use contributes to liver cancer and colorectal cancer in women. The risk is multiplied for drinkers who also smoke tobacco. Alcohol can disrupt sleep. Its ability to cloud judgment is legendary. Alcohol interacts in potentially dangerous ways with a variety of medications, including acetaminophen, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, painkillers, and sedatives. It is also addictive, especially for people with a family history of alcoholism.

DRUNK DRIVING

Alcoholism has a price. Depression, homelessness, the break up of the family unit, losing one’s job, losing one’s career, losing one’s house, losing one’s mind, losing one’s life even.

Problem drinking also touches drinkers’ families, friends, and communities. Too many persons meet standard criteria for alcohol abuse or alcoholism. Alcohol plays a big role in one in three cases of violent crime. Many people die each year in automobile accidents in which alcohol is involved. Alcohol abuse is very costly to all.

For a 30-year-old man, the increased risk of alcohol-related accidents outweighs the possible heart-related benefits of moderate alcohol consumption. For a pregnant woman and her unborn child, a recovering alcoholic, a person with liver disease, and people taking one or more medications that interact with alcohol, moderate drinking offers little benefit and substantial risks.

If you don’t drink, do not start. You can get guaranteed positive  benefits with more exercise or healthier eating.

.

And the undeniable brain damage by the use of bad drugs, and alcohol is irreversible
 .
Negative effects of usage Marijuana include: Feelings of panic and fear (paranoia), Hallucinations, Trouble concentrating, altered senses (for example, seeing brighter colors), altered sense of time. changes in mood, impaired body movement, difficulty with thinking and problem-solving, impaired memory, blocks memory formation, decreased ability to perform tasks that require coordination. Decreased interest in completing tasks. Poorer physical health, more relationship problems, increase the risk of depression. Less academic and career success. Poor school performance and higher chance of dropping out The lost mental abilities didn’t fully return in those who quit marijuana next. Increased Antisocial behavior including stealing money or lying. Intense anxiety, fear, distrust, or panic are common side effects.
.
Marijuana also increases a person’s heart rate for up to three hours after use, putting users at risk for heart attack during that period. Secondhand marijuana smoke can do as much damage to the heart and blood vessels as secondhand tobacco smoke. The regular use of marijuana during adolescence is of particular concern, since use by this age group is associated with an increased likelihood of negative consequences such as Addiction (about 9% of adults and 17% of people who started smoking as teens) No medications are currently available to treat marijuana use disorder.
 .
The widespread abuse of drugs, narcotics , alcohol are also  linked to virtually to every evil and criminal activity within our society including adultery, murder.

.

No man should adduce   favour of drinking wine unless he can prove that the wine Jesus  made in the” water-pots” of Cana was just like the wine which he proposes to drink. There are ample Greek literary texts which negate the narrow definition of oinos as denoting only fermented wine as it did not have the taste or the intoxicating effect of ordinary wine, God did not make fermented juice.. New wine would be grape juice (or a grapeade) mode from grape syrup while old wine would be 2 to 3 years old Suffice it to say, the “better” wine of course does not in any way imply or demand a more alcoholic, or even an alcoholic, wine at all, there is not the slightest evidence that the word so used would have conveyed any idea but that of the pure juice of the grape,

.

John the Baptist did not drink wine or any other form of alcohol because Scripture prophesied that he wouldn’t (Luke 1:15). Most people don’t know where to draw the line between temperance and excess. Such people better abstain totally until they know they can “be temperate in all things.”

.

John 210 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

,

John 210 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

/

And the word used twice  for “good” wine is a Greek word which refers to something or someone morally excellent or intrinsically good, rather It was Christ who in the Old Testament gave the warning to Israel, that “Wine is a mocker,” so why would he make fermented grape juice? by creating alcoholic wine, Jesus would have been promoting drunkenness, which the Bible clearly identifies as sinful.

,

Next you will say Jesus would have also distributed Playboy magazines.

,

If Jesus made fermented wine, then the fact that the guests had become”well drunk” would have meant that Jesus endorsed excessive drinking. Therefore, either Jesus endorsed excessive drinking of alcohol or the wine was unfermented grape juice! Obviously, then, the wine that Jesus made was unfermented grape juice.

,

Too many have assumed that the Hebrew and Greek words translated as “wine” must have the same meaning that the modern usage meaning of the English word “wine” does. In the English language, the word “wine” originally was used to denote the juice of grapes, whether in a fermented or unfermented state. Long ago, of course, that word has taken on the usage meaning of only grape juice in its fermented state. That’s why today we distinguish the two drinks by using the terms “wine” and “grape juice.”

.

Exodus 12:15 and 13:7 forbid the very presence of “leaven” anywhere in the homes during Passover. The New Testament–in Matthew 16:12 and I Corinthians 5:7-8–provide the explanation by declaring that leaven is a symbol of evil. Leaven is a yeast, so the leavening process is parallel to the process of fermentation. In the light of these facts, plus Jesus’ statement in the disputed passages that the “fruit of the vine”represented His own saving blood, we must surely conclude that the communion cup did, and should always, contain unfermented (ie., uncorrupted) grape juice. The following Old Testament texts show God’s disapproval of wine, as “yayin:” Genesis 9:21; 19:32; Leviticus10:9-11; Deuteronomy 32:33; Psalm 60:3; Proverbs 4:17; 20:1; 23:20, 29-35;31:4-5; Isaiah 5:11-12; 28:7; Ezekiel 44:21; and Hosea 7:5. Proverbs 23:31-35–Again, the very nature of fermented wine is categorically condemned as a “serpent” and an “adder” that bites and stings.

.

The Bible condemns the use itself of all alcoholic beverages and highly recommends unfermented grape juice!  The only exception to this consistent rule in Scripture is Proverbs 31: 6-7, which commands that alcoholic beverages be given to those who are dying or cowards.

.

The assumption made by proponents of the moderate use of alcoholic beverages that the ancient peoples did not know how to preserve the juice of the grape in an unfermented state, and that therefore, virtually every instance of wine mentioned in the Bible must be to fermented wine. This assumption is totally false as the ancient historical records are abundantly clear that there were several major methods of preserving grape juice in its natural, unfermented state.

.

Scriptures clearly teach that the very nature of alcoholic beverages is that which brings spiritual apostasy and otherwise affects the mind (and body too) of whomever drinks it. In other words, it is not excessive drinking only that the Bible condemns, but the beverage itself and its consumption in any amount. Since most people and Christians do not know or study the Bible today they are easily deceived.

.

As it is abundantly clear that the Bible condemns the use of alcohol in any amounts, Persons that are simply rationalizing what they want to do regardless of the facts or the consequences to their spiritual, or physical, natures are led to do so by the demons.

Gutless Politicians

NO DRUGS

“Legalization of marijuana will come at the expense of our children and public safety” The people who start using pot at a young age and continue using it often during adolescence and beyond are more likely than their peers to have poor health outcomes. They also achieve less occupational and educational success in young adulthood. Note you will reap what you sow, the good or bad still.

Full personal unhindered liberty is what is available to us, our liberty should be protected, and any bondage is to be avoided . We have a  great value of personal freedom and we must condemn anything that restricts or prohibits a person from reaching his or her full potential. Addiction, a dependence on a certain behavior or experience    kills our liberty.

Federal laws against the use, cultivation, and transportation of marijuana should be maintained and enforced and should not be relaxed or softened. Cultivation, processing, transportation and it’s  use should always be illegal . There is no medical benefit provided by the use of smoked marijuana and  in fact, considerable harm can be caused by such use.  There is a rightful fears of increased youth marijuana use, an uptick in traffic deaths, and a concern over the inability to detect marijuana intoxication in drivers.

Governments across Canada are hoping to make making money on legal recreational marijuana. Each employees in the legal recreational marijuana will pay provincial and federal income tax, contribute to employment insurance and their national pension plan. In income taxes alone, the growth from the legal marijuana industry is expected to be lucrative. They see Canada, as a global leader in well-regulated legal production, becoming a booming export producer as countries in the European Union and elsewhere recognize the harm-reduction opportunities of Canada’s legalized market? ” New Store fronts will pay municipal taxes. Rural production and storage facilities pay property taxes. Businesses pay taxes on profits. They also pay licence fees.”

no drugs (2)

“The speed at which the Liberal government intends to move ahead in Legalizing recreational marijuana  causes great risks in preventing adverse impacts in our communities.

.

Legalizing recreational marijuana brings a multitude of public health concerns, ‘including addiction, youth drug use, increased motor vehicle crashes and higher numbers of minority arrests. Legalization of marijuana is bad public policy because the drug is addictive and significantly impairs bodily and mental functions. Consumption of marijuana impairs the immune system and short-term memory, elevates the risk of heart attack, and causes respiratory and brain damage.

There is strong evidence to suggest that legalizing marijuana would serve little purpose other than to worsen the drug problems. Marijuana use is associated with memory loss, cancer, immune system deficiencies, heart disease, and birth defects, among other conditions. Indeed, marijuana shares more in common with the “hard” drugs than it does with alcohol. The subduing effects of marijuana may initially make users feel less anxious and stressed. However, these effects are counteracted by the rebound effect of increased anxiety after the drug wears off. “Cannabis impairs key skills needed for driving.  ,”   “Impairment with drugs and alcohol increases the risk of a crash.”

no drugs (1)

Marijuana is definitely not the drug of love and peace it can even decrease energy and vigor after long-term use — it does not reduce aggression. In fact, smoking marijuana may increase anxiety and paranoia, thus increasing the possibility that an aggressive person will lash out. Marijuana does tend to reduce inhibitions and is associated with sexually promiscuous behavior in some circumstances, such as party and play.  For medicinal users, however, Health Canada has emphatically recommended against smoking the  plant due to the potential for respiratory issues. Rates of acute medical care and hospitalization for younger children who have ingested cannabis unintentionally are increasing. One  should not use cannabis recreationally because its many potentially harmful effects are serious. These effects are present in the entire population;

.

The fact that alcohol and tobacco are harmful does not in any way reduce the harms of marijuana smoking. There are many poisonous and hallucinogenic plants, which are unhealthy for human consumption. Several drugs as well as weed, heroin, cocaine, magic mushrooms and alcoholic beverages, come from plants. Consuming them is not healthy. Many chronic marijuana users do not claim to have spiritual awareness.

PM Justin Trudeau,  liberal lawmakers,    falsely rush  to be immoral.THE LIBERAL PARTY  TRYING TO INSURE VOTES AT ANY COSTS IS IMMORAL

And the undeniable brain damage by the use of bad drugs, and alcohol is irreversible

Poor school performance and higher chance of dropping out The lost mental abilities didn’t fully return in those who quit marijuana next. Increased Antisocial behavior including stealing money or lying. Intense anxiety, fear, distrust, or panic are common side effects. Experts and data indicate that legalization and commercialization comes at a cost to health and safety, as well as with a tremendous burden on law enforcement, public health bodies and all levels of government.
.
Marijuana also increases a person’s heart rate for up to three hours after use, putting users at risk for heart attack during that period. Secondhand marijuana smoke can do as much damage to the heart and blood vessels as secondhand tobacco smoke. The widespread abuse of drugs, narcotics , alcohol are also  linked to virtually to every evil and criminal activity within our society including adultery, murder.
.
A new guideline for medical marijuana, developed by Edmonton researchers, warns family doctors that the risks may outweigh the benefits for the vast majority of patients.  The guideline suggests the benefits of medical cannabis may be overstated, and research on its medicinal properties is sorely lacking. While the researchers found limited evidence supporting the use of medical cannabinoids, the side-effects were common and consistent. Common side effects included sedation, dizziness and confusion.    http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/medical-cannabis-guidelines-alberta-1.4537039?cmp=rss
 .
Once recreational marijuana is legalized, it will still continue to be illegal to smoke it in public places, including parks, workplaces and motorized vehicles.   Many have the belief that pot users are criminals, and that such criminals need arresting if Canada is to be a safer place.  Marijuana is just as dangerous as – and potentially more dangerous than – cigarettes and alcohol. The biggest issues still facing marijuana legalization are: namely, testing drivers for impairment, weed in the workplace, smoking in rental properties and the availability of edible products.   Employers have expressed concern that marijuana legalization will lead to impairment, lower productivity, poor attendance and safety issues in the workplace.  An even bigger grey area is whether employers will legally be able to test, discipline or even fire workers for using a substance that is legal. It remains unclear if landlords will be able to prohibit tenants from smoking marijuana in rental properties. Landlords are also concerned about tenants growing marijuana, which could lead to increased electricity usage and the spread of damaging mould.  Marijuana is particularly concerning for the oil and gas industry. Over the last decade, drug and alcohol use has been a “pressing safety concern” and a continuing challenge for oil and gas employers.  Substance abuse top health and safety risk in sawmills. Both workers, managers worry about dangers of alcohol and drug use
.
Our   Senators themselves have raised concerns about a potential increase in drug-impaired driving after legalization, the availability of the drug to young Canadians under the new regime, and the controls that will be in place on advertising and marketing of cannabis.   Driving under the influence of cannabis increases the risk for motor vehicle accidents .  Alarmingly, road crashes in Canada that kill automobile passengers or drivers are now more likely to involve drugs (prescription and illegal) than alcohol.  Marijuana poses great harm to the cognitive development of youth under 25.   The Conservatives have been the most vocal opponents of  the legalization.    Young people between 15 and 24 generally don’t think cannabis use has any effect on driving, and that police can’t do anything about it. Studies have found that a large proportion of drivers who die in crashes have drugs in their systems. Drugs of all kinds, not including alcohol, were found in the systems of more than a third of fatally injured drivers between the ages of 16 and 24, according to a 2010 study, for example. 16.6 per cent: Proportion of fatally injured drivers who tested positive for cannabis, according to an examination of 2000-2010 Canadian data.  All jurisdictions have opted to keep their legal dope-smoking ages in line with those for drinking alcohol.
.

The Bible condemns the use itself of all alcoholic beverages and highly recommends unfermented grape juice!  The only exception to this consistent rule in Scripture is Proverbs 31: 6-7, which commands that alcoholic beverages be given to those who are dying or cowards.

As it is abundantly clear that the Bible condemns the use of alcohol in any amounts, Persons that are simply rationalizing what they want to do regardless of the facts or the consequences to their spiritual, or physical, natures are led to do so by the demons.

The RCMP Is Facing More than 2,400 Harassment Claims from Former and Current Employees. 1,500 claims were expected in a massive class-action settlement, but roughly 2,400 have been filed to date—and a lawyer involved in the case suggests that number could still rise dramatically. An Extension was made for women filing claims in historic RCMP sexual harassment settlement.

sexual harassment

A Federal Court judge has granted an extension for women who were sexually harassed while working for the RCMP to file their claims for compensation. Both former and current employees of the RCMP—have come forward with claims of gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment during their time on the force, with more expected to emerge in the coming weeks. RCMP management has let the woman down. “instead of succeeding and thriving in a supportive and inclusive workplace, many women have suffered careers scarred by gender and sexual discrimination, bullying and harassment.” The RCMP has now acknowledged it has a problem with gender and sexual discrimination

Judge Ann Marie McDonald extended the deadline from today to May 22 for primary class members with exceptional circumstances. Last May, McDonald approved the unprecedented settlement that will pay up to $220,000 to the women who worked for the national force over the past 40 years . http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/rcmp-extension-sexual-harassemnt-1.4526292?cmp=rss

Who’s supposed to protect the person whose job it is to protect others? ” Wwll they all failed at it.. “Her advice for women facing harassment in the workplace? “Do not remain silent. Don’t try to fight it on your own. Be strong, open up, ask for help and don’t stop until you find someone who will listen. And feel free to come and talk to me. I’m always here to help.”

So what! Woman says RCMP doctor ‘violated’ her during exam for potential recruits. “Lawyer David Klein, whose firm is one of two representing female RCMP employees in a sexual harassment class action, said several clients had informed him the Halifax physician was nicknamed “Dr. Fingers.” He said several clients told him the doctor gave them unneeded rectal exams, inserted his fingers into their vaginas without good reason and spent unusually long periods rubbing their breasts with his hands.” Source: https://globalnews.ca/news/4000328/woman-says-rcmp-doctor-violated-her/

sexualharassment
Survivors of sexual harassment and assault in the Canadian Armed Forces in two proposed class action lawsuits against the Government of Canada served their evidence this week responding to Canada’s attempt to strike their claims. These class actions seek compensation for the Government’s failure to protect them from sexual assault, sexual harassment, and gender-based discrimination during their service. The Government’s approach to this lawsuit runs counter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s recent statements regarding the obligations of Government . “It’s frustrating to read Prime Minister Trudeau’s comments given that the Government is taking the opposite approach to our litigation”, said Amy Graham, a plaintiff in the proposed class action. “By trying to stop us from proceeding through a class action, the Government wants to force each of us to go forward alone, preventing us from resolving this issue and putting it behind us.”
