This week in Stephen Harper’s Canada

canada-corrupted-conservatives

This week  in Prime Minister’s Stephen Harper’s Canada; the economy shrank, 30 cases of fraud and breach of trust were found in the Senate, and Canada Post pushed ahead with unnecessary and ill-advised cuts to home mail delivery.  Harper is out of the country.

.

” Canada is on the verge of a new recession. The first quarter GDP numbers were released by the Bank of Canada and they showed that the economy shrank by 0.6% between January and April. The report was full of bad news and showed that economic growth in March was weaker than February and growth in February was weaker than January. This shows that the negative effects of the oil price collapse are accelerating and voiding any positive benefit we may be seeing from lower gas prices. –

.

Canada’s Auditor general cites lack of oversight for Senate spending mess.   A fishing trip, contracts for professional services and one senator’s own 50th wedding anniversary celebration are some of the ineligible expenses filed under the guise of parliamentary business,  Auditor general Michael Ferguson’s comprehensive audit of Senate expenses,  spans a two-year period and names 30 senators, including nine whose files are being recommended for referral to the RCMP.  Members of Canada’s Senate improperly spent almost C$1 million ($810,000) in just two years, according to a report released on Tuesday. Ferguson’s investigation uncovered C$992,663 in irregular spending and expense claims made by 30 current and former senators. Eight of those senators were appointed by Harper too.   Ferguson said he was “struck by the overall lack of transparency and accountability” exercised both by the institution as a whole and by some individual senators.  80,000 claims investigated at a cost taxpayers $23.5 million .

.

Harper is a very poor  manager.  We can  all realize that the emperor has no clothes. Two of the 30 senators in question are Leo Housakos, speaker of the chamber, and Claude Carignan, government leader in the Senate. Both are Harper appointees, as is Senator Mike Duffy, who is on trial facing charges of bribery and improper spending.  One of the two sitting senators whose cases will be examined by police is Harper appointee Pierre-Hugues Boisvenu. This scandal makes a mockery of the promise Harper made when he took power in 2006 of more honesty, transparency, to increase accountability and clean up the Senate. “The responsibility for this scandal continues to go back to the prime minister of this country who promised reform … We deserve better,”

“Massive cuts to Canada Post are set to hit home as the Crown Corporation has announced plans to end home mail delivery to all residences and businesses with postal codes beginning with P7A, P7B, P7C and P7E early in 2016.  , Canada Post is a national institution that has generated a profit of $951 million for the federal government between 2005 and 2014. Yet, for some reason, and in spite of its significant yearly profits, the Harper Conservatives plan to make Canada the only G7 country without home mail delivery. ”

.

Stephen ‎Harper  again  renews  his attack on Russia’s Vladimir Putin. “Harper ‎said the Russian economy has little in common with western ones.” In reality the biggest threat to Canada and the Canadian way of life is firstly is Harper not Putin.   The more he articulates it, the more Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s speaks  on Russian President Vladimir Putin the more Harper is weird.  Harper now  why do you want to keep poking the big Russian bear with a small  stick?

,

Harper gains no kudos from me for stealing money from the poor native Canadians and then handing that money out to the billionaire oligarchs in the Ukraine. It is quite telling that Harper seems focused on denouncing Russia’s economy and claims they are not the same as “Western values”.   What is a “western value” economic system, Mr Harper?  gays?   “Mr. Putin runs an entirely different system … he runs an economy that is dominated by oligarchs and criminal syndicates.”  Strange comment from Harper. It’s very good description of North American “systems,” too .  Harper,  he is trying to deflect the media away from covering the Auditor General’s findings, the economy, the Duffy trial, his vacating Ministers… In short, everything that is important to Canada.  Which is why he is, was on the other side of the world…hiding!  He should return to Canada and deal with all the problems we do have at home. Until Harper learns how to keep his own house clean, he has no business criticizing Russia. There is nothing Harper will not politicize to get a vote. What a sad and pathetic sense of leadership. Harper is the last person who should be bad mouthing Putin as  a Dictator.   All coming from the man who wrecked Canada. Harper doesn’t have a clue about Ukraine, or much else:

.

“I just can’t get past the elections fraud and bribery.”  Mr. Harper and Co. have stolen the half billion or more of the former Canadian Wheat Board which rightfully belong to farmers. He is in the process of giving (not selling) these assets to the Saudi Arabians who are anything but democratic. Harper have spent $578 million on Ukraine so far, $400 million of it are loans that he knows Ukraine will never repay. Now it looks like Harper closed our veterans offices in order to pay for the Ukraine neo-Nazi government that is waging war against its own people.

.

Harper is an embarrassment to Canada. Who likes to keep his dealings and negotiations with China and other foreign interests secret. Who uses public service institutions, like CRA to intimidate opposing voices. . Harper thinks attacking Putin is a sure vote-getter, instead it just makes him look like a hypocritical fool. All I can say is Mr. Harper, will you please shut up!  The last ten years at the helm Harper has only been   plotting on  how to stay in power. Harper is as bad as Brian Mulroney.  Interesting how Israel is accomplishing their goals through Canada/Harper. If you also do think Harper is a Christian, then I’m an alien from outer space!!  Harper has no values.  He’s just a hypocrite spewing talking points .

.

The only difference between Russian ‘Democracy’ and that of the ‘Western democratic world’ is that in Russia, Putin controls the Oligarchs. In the west, the Oligarchs own and control the politicians/puppets. Harper should apologize to Putin and then go on medical leave for professional help.  Harper is an embarrassment to Canada and a danger to world peace.  Harper a US, NATO, Jewish  puppet . Stephen Harper has Russaphobia.   What he’s really trying to cover up is that after using the cease-fire to once more regroup, rearm, resupply, and train new fighters, assisted by the US and its co-conspirators, his regime is preparing to undertake another expanded, US-backed military campaign to eliminate the Ukrainians opposed to what’s happened since the Ukrainian coup,.. Their first act upon seizing power in the coup was to eliminate russian language rights (the language of most of the eastern provinces of Ukraine).  .  The western oligarches  still do own  the media.  https://putin1hero.wordpress.com/

.

Are these the bad Western Values Harper Supports

.

The bad guys can keep Harper,  as decent Canadians  do not  want him back as PM.   He has now a reputation of being a big liar.  PM Harper lies and lies . I heard firsthand one teenager saying to another teenager , “I cannot trust you, you lie to me all the time” and this next had made me reflect upon the reality that the average person lies 3 times in every ten minutes of conversation . It seems that spin doctoring, misleading, lying to others is a very major part of not just the lawyers, used car salesmen, but a regular part of the sales, advertising, corporate way of doing business with consumers these days Canada wide now as well.  http://blog.blazingangles.net/whatsthis/2007/09/the-art-of-lying-1.html

.

What are Harper’s MAJOR accomplishments for Canada…. a strong oil sector with pipelines to market? a strong diversified economy? record job growth & low youth unemployment? a strong auto sector? better health care? a cleaner environment? senate reform? a democratic beacon for the world? improvements for First Nations? NONE of the above?..

.

Harper is a threat to Canadian democracy.   Harper’s talks tough, then hides in closets when the firing starts.   A peacekeepers job is to get both sides in Ukraine to agree..  Yet, the small minority of  Jewish backed troublemakers  including Harper  is blocking this cause.. Not to mention the fact that even highly respected scholars say that the USA  and Canada under Harper, since he’s really a GOP puppet are oligarchies.  Harper has indeed humiliated Canada and made us irrelevant. We were once respected , Having Harper next to our Flag is a Disgrace and a Disrespect to our Flag.  Only the Canadian Media gave him any notice, coverage at the G6 too. No one else world wide did. Not even the US.

.

The Conservatives  like the Liberals have both shown what they are capable of and it wasn’t pretty. , not nice…  Most Voters no longer trust the Conservatives or the Liberals

.

The NDP   Thomas Mulcair is  poised for clear shot at becoming prime minister as NDP surges in polls ..  All of this follows in the wake of the latest good news for the official Opposition: a Corporate Research Associates poll that shows the New Democrats resurgent in Atlantic Canada – from 14 per cent to 29 per cent in the past three months – at the expense of Justin Trudeau’s Liberals, who sagged from 56 per cent to 43 per cent.  But what really matters is Quebec, where there are strong signs that Mr. Mulcair may be able to repeat the late Jack Layton’s miraculous breakthrough of 2011. An Ipsos poll released last week has the NDP at 41 per cent in Quebec, with the Liberals far behind at 25 per cent.

Canada’s big bad Telecom

bell

I saw Big Telecom’s army of lobbyists, eye to eye, at a hearing last week.

It was amazing and sickening to hear them argue that Canadians should be blocked from affordable Internet access options.  They are powerful, but we have a new crucial opportunity to fight back. Josh Tabish  OpenMedia

.

Big Telecom plans to use a crucial, rapidly-approaching hearing  to kill indie Internet services in Canada. If successful, they’ll be able to block you from companies offering affordable, next-generation Internet services, and continue to price-gouge Canadians

.

We’re facing a situation where, soon, your only choice could be between price-gouging Big Telecom giants – an unbelievable power grab for Big Telecom.

.

We know that Canadians pay some of the highest prices in the world for some of the worst Internet service.  And a big part this is because Big Telecom has been given gatekeeper powers before…

…a nd abused them.

https://openmedia.org/powergrab/

Net neutrality” has been built into the fabric of the Internet since its creation — but it is also a principle that we cannot take for granted.  We cannot allow Internet service providers (ISPs) to restrict the best access or to pick winners and losers in the online marketplace for services and ideas.   So the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has to implement the strongest possible rules to protect net neutrality.” We cannot allow Internet service providers (ISPs) to restrict the best access or to pick winners and losers in the online marketplace for services and ideas,” “I believe the FCC should create a new set of rules protecting net neutrality and ensuring that neither the cable company nor the phone company will be able to act as a gatekeeper, restricting what you can do or see online.” Obama said in a statement released by the White House.  President Obama’s call for “net neutrality” – the notion that any and all content should be treated equally by Internet providers – should cause the Federal Communications Commission to regulate broadband service like a utility as a way to protect consumers’ ability to access all content without a threat of connectivity being throttled. Us President Obama called for prohibiting ISPs from blocking or deliberately slowing any legal content. His proposals also include a recommendation to mostly ban paid-for “fast-lane” access, in which a content provider refusing to pay extra would be subject to slower Internet transmission and to  reclassify consumer broadband Internet service and regulate it as if it’s a utility – like electricity and water – as many consumer advocacy groups have asked for a similar strategy to protect unfettered access.  The simple, common-sense  rules include:

  • No blocking.  If a consumer requests access to a website or service, and the content is legal, your ISP should not be permitted to block it.  That way, every player — not just those commercially affiliated with an ISP — gets a fair shot at your business.
  • No throttling.  Nor should ISPs be able to intentionally slow down some content or speed up others — through a process often called “throttling” — based on the type of service or your ISP’s preferences.
  • Increased transparency.  The connection between consumers and ISPs — the so-called “last mile” — is not the only place some sites might get special treatment. The  FCC to make full use of the transparency authorities the court recently upheld, and if necessary to apply net neutrality rules to points of interconnection between the ISP and the rest of the Internet.
  • No paid prioritization.  Simply put: No service should be stuck in a “slow lane” because it does not pay a fee.  That kind of gatekeeping would undermine the level playing field essential to the Internet’s growth.  An explicit ban on paid prioritization and any other restriction that has a similar effect.

Robbed by Banks and credit card companies

Merchants have already  sued Credit card networks for alleged conspiring with banks to fix high swipe fees,  fees which are charged to businesses when consumers pay with credit or debit cards  which the Canadian government,  Finance Minister Joe Oliver , Joe.Oliver@parl.gc.ca,  claims are among the highest in the world. Credit card networks  and Banks  also are allegedly conspiring to fix  borrowing fees, which leads to the high consumer  borrowing costs! Canadian, Consumers do need real  protection now, ASAP

Can Bell do it’s job and provide me now their proper services?

 BELL GREEDY (3)
.

Canadians can access broadband using either wire line or wireless facilities but in order to meet the high demands of cell phones, Canada’s major telecommunications firms and their subs they are  failing to deliver the capacities  as originally promised, Canada’s major telecommunications firms and their subs they are  not keeping their contractual obligations, are falsely  cutting back on internet capacity and speeds,  so all of this is still a major issue with Canada’s major telecommunications firms and their subs..  while  they advertise a certain speed but likely you next still only get half of it as they cap their downloads and speeds..
.
Sadly, as a recent survey indicates, 9-out-of-ten Canadians have no clue that their use of the Internet has been so heavily clipped by ‘market forces’: bandwidth caps, excess use charges, and restrictions on what people can and cannot do with their Internet connections in the major providers ‘acceptable user policies’.
.
In the old dial-up days the most a user could reasonably consume would be 56K, and that only under ideal circumstances. An ISP could service approximately 28 dial-up customers with a single T1 without oversubscribing, but since few customers continually used their maximum, oversubscribing was common, sometimes as much as 20 to 1. ISPs made money and users rarely saw congestion outside of their modems.; Broadband has changed all that. Now, a single broadband customer can consume a T1 all by him or herself. So they  major telecommunications firms and their subs next lie and claim that  Broadband has been a money losing proposition for just about every ISP there is, as deployment and support costs are huge and monthly income is small while  they profess to make vast, enormous  amount of money from their cell phone usages..However, by international comparative standards, investment in Canada has been weak, inadequate.   Yes the ISPs and Cell phones firms had  mostly  lied, misadvertised the services, oversubscribed so much they falsely and  routinely do slow next down  your connection and  that’s why it can work FINE at 4:00 am when 90% of people are in bed…
.
Acanac itself thus also  caps during the business day.. even because the ISP’s falsely had originally promised quite a bit but there’s still no real full  services from them making use of what they were trying to sell to us and partly because what they were, are also now selling is far from what would be needed for any significant customer. Creating “caps” is plain crap . It is a too easy way for them.
.
So many persons switched to cable where there is not the same  need to cap. (So to speak).  Bell’s own  recent comments about actual costs suggests that it relies on similar ranges to provide a best guess at cost per gigabyte. Yes there is no apparent link between the ‘excess usage charges’ that the dominant players are charging (i.e. from .50 cents per Gigabit (GB) to $5 per GB), and the cost of bandwidth. Experts peg the cost per gigabit as being anywhere between .01 cents and 10 cents. Even if we take the high end of this range, excess usage charges still entail an extortionate 500 to 5000 percent mark-up on costs. Canada stands alone in terms of the near universal use of ‘bandwidth caps’ and excess usage fees for Internet use. It is sadly immoral,  ludicrous  that Bell itself is is charging customers at least 10x more than the actual costs. Bell does fudge the costs numbers to support whatever self-serving claim they make.  It’s “free money” as far as they are concerned. Once established, it will be hard to remove. Especially since they can use such a scheme to constrain usage or eliminate competition.
.

Canadians are even paying more for  all communications services. Canada’s broadcast and telecom regulator has released new numbers on how much Canadians spend on communications services, revealing the total bill for the average household climbed to $191 per month last year.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/canadians-paying-more-for-communications-services-crtc/article21130289/

.

The Federal Trade Commission says AT&T’s practice of slowing down the connection speeds of unlimited-data customers who tap excessive amounts of data is a failure to deliver on the promise of “unlimited.” As a result, the FTC on Tuesday filed a federal court complaint against AT&T, charging the wireless provider with misleading customers who signed up for an unlimited-data plan only to see their connection slowed in an industry process called “throttling. “AT&T promised its customers ‘unlimited’ data, and in many instances, it has failed to deliver on that promise,” . “The issue here is simple: ‘unlimited’ means unlimited.”  http://www.cnet.com/news/ftc-sues-at-t-for-limiting-speeds-on-unlimited-data-customers/

.

Consumers are being caught in the middle of greedy telecomm companies.. It’s the Telcomm companies who have rooked us all and laughing all the way the bank.

.

Bell  too now has made money not only by their too often unjustifiable  rates increase but also by their false extra billings. Bell is not at all known as a decent, moral company, holding to acceptable professionals standards, for that matter clearly too none of the major Canada telecommunication firms are, rather monetary greed has overtaken them all.. Bell often claimed that it was not making enough money but still became rich enough to buy CTV.. The Bell customer complaints still abound too.

.

When  I had agree to go into a contract with my internet provider at a fixed  fee, for specific services, including repairs, this is not an opportunity for the internet provider  Acanac next to  falsely, unscrupulously  try to shaft me with extra billing of 100 dollars to check my internal phone line, a fee that I  had already paid last year, and what they want me now to pay it every year too?  as it seems to be the common practice instead of rightfully offering me their past free promised  support services.

.

Now I have noticed that for years when it rains my internet services is crappy, slows down.. and recently my browsers have been very slow in loading, and I cannot even watch the news video at CTV news or at the National Post cause they cut out.. Now I have suspected the problem is squirrels, there are 6 in my back yard this week.. Note this also “ A Winnipeg man says squirrels are taking a bite out his telephone lines. James Mattson, who lives on Christie Road in south Winnipeg, said it’s been happening since last spring. “There’s something in that wire that the squirrels seem to snack on. What they’ll do is they’ll burrow into the outer core of the wire which is vinyl or plastic and then there’s bundles of wires inside and they’ll pick away at that,” he said.  James Mattson points to the telephone lines that squirrels have damaged near his home. (Jill Coubrough/CBC) Yes it’s impacting Mattson’s services. His phone, Internet. “It’s frustrating. It just keeps on happening and happening ,” he said, adding it’s happened nine times in two months. So squirrels damaging wires is a common industry problem. Deal with it.. and stop falsely lying, passing the buck as it being my problem solely.

Bell insistence that it needs proof that all of my own computer system has been first tested, falsely still treats me like me being computer illiterate..

Of course they have all been tested… why is it that the system slow downs only occur mostly on rainy days.. PS it does not rain in my house…

PS they still have yet to fix the problem

They claim they have to first replace the modem to see if it is the problem and then they will check the exterior phone lines.. Rubbish they replaced the modem now even 3 times and what next?? Still bad services..

my address and telephone number is the same as the one you bill me too.. Now quit stalling and fix the problems.. are you going to replace all the modems in my apartment building now too?? cause there is 4 of us at least with the same problems too..
 .
PS
Now many of us firsthand know how lousy Bell services is and thus now Acanac/Bell is no different!!! Such as relationship is rather  ludicrous, impossible. Buyer beware..
 .
and why was the Internet system down all last weekend? after the 3rd new modem was installed too..
as usual, my internet was down again since  Friday evening – Sept 19, with no email access, no internet.. Saturday, and Sunday too…
.

The system works great on a nice sunny day, but not when it rains, at least once a week. I had installed their new Modem and after all this I still have network connectivity problems, i lose the network connection periodically..

.
Now  the clearly immoral, buck passing employees at Acanac still do  find false reasons why not to deal with my rightful complaints to them even months later. Sept 24,2014…
 .
and if you think that I am going to renew my contract with Acanac, or recommend them to others you  better think twice.
.
Again as to how to make a complaint

Step 1 – Contact a customer service representative discuss any concerns you have about your service preferably not in writing cause most of them seem not to be able to read English.

If you’re not completely satisfied with the resolution at this step,   proceed to step 2.

Step 2 – Speak with a pretentious, useless in denial supervisor
If you’re not completely satisfied with the resolution provided at this step,   proceed to step 3.

Step 3 – Contact the pretentious  Customer Relations Centre and they will gladly  disconnect your services

Note: You must complete the first two steps of the escalation process to have your problem supposedly to be resolved in the most efficient manner for them, not yours..

Additional Useless steps

.

A – If you were not satisfied with the resolution provided in the previous steps, you may file a complaint with the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services (CCTS). The CCTS is an agency independent of the telecommunications industry. Their mandate is to resolve complaints of individual and small business retail customers about their telecommunications services.
.
If you have a complaint about your services, including local or long distance phone service, mobile phone service or Internet service, you must try to resolve it with Bell before contacting the CCTS. If you have done so and have been unable to reach a satisfactory resolution, CCTS may be able to help you, free of charge.Learn more about CCTS at
www.ccts-cprst.ca or call toll-free at 1 888 221-1687.

B- Go public, posit it all on the Net.
“Absolutely horrible customer service, they are there to take your money and not provide any support at all.   “  ”  Speed is not stable and tech support is very slow. I’ve used Acanac for more than 5 years, rarely have issue with them but once there’s one, it takes weeks to resolve it. very disappointing.”  “ STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! This is the worse service I have ever been given in my life.” “ But the customer service is really disappointing.   “  “. Speed has been on the slow to very slow side and I have had my connection lost completely 3 times.   “   “ I used this service for almost 3 years, and wana say that Acanac service becomes the worse and worse, so I cancelled my contract with it. Reasons: 1. Low speed, 2.I didn’t have the entrance to the Internet during several hours almost every day for the last half year. 3. When I tried to reach their technical support service it was a real headache for me. I think they simply ignored my request, but they answering me immediately when I sent the cancelation notice to them. I have to state that Acanac doesn’t care about it’s customers.  “  “  -Service was good, until your service slows or or stops working and you have to reach out for help.  “  “  Finally get useless support email 16 hours after sending in my ticket suggesting I check the cable to the demarc etc etc. Issues continued for a week, customer service never improved. “ “  absolutely terrible customer service. “ “ Acanac has made my life a living hell. Telephone wait times are 45-50 minutes if it is your lucky day or no one answers. Even if someone answers you will quickly realise the guy has no clue or has no inclination to help you. Once the guy was dumb enough to ask me “why did you not send us an email?” Duh!!! I do not have internet?!!! SO PLEASE, PLEASE BE WITHOUT AN INTERNET THAN SIGNING UP WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. “  “ However, when you need technical support, you could be put on the phone waiting for hours..  “   Much is promised when inquiring by their sales people, however tech support is non-existent. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU ENJOY SUFFERING. Tech response is hidden behind a very primitive email service.   DSL connection speed is no better than dial up. “  “Internet goes down at least 4- 6 times a year. You have to call them to get good customer service. Their email and text service is the worst, specially the email response is just a copy and paste , they don’t even read what your problem is.” “  After 2 years, I have had enough – Never again, and I will make sure I tell as many people as I can to never give this company any business “  http://www.canadianisp.ca/cgi-bin/isp_comment_totals.cgi?f=Comments&ispid=52

Let me be clear that the assigned personnel at the CCTS are also technically incompetent, likely, clearly  another typical useless buck passing  government employee who cannot likely find  a real job in the private sector.. Months after I  had filed my original complaints, they phone back to me and ask the same useless questions am I familiar with their  own review process.. so how can I be familiar with their review process when 2 separate persons have phoned me in the last 3 months said they were reviewing my full original complaints and none have ever yet come back with a single credible fact, find, report.. these CCTS people doing the report even still now falsely seem to want me or prepare a full report myself, with a  full detailed backup so they can rubber stamp it next merely..  she wants more information from me Cause my past writings to them are too long to read she said, to review CCTS  said.. how all absurd.  Useless  CCTS personnel  just like those at Acanac. Acanac useless solution to deal with my internet problem was to uselessly replace the modem 3 times even..
 .
CCTS do note that my original contract with ACANAC paid for my MasterCard as well as the terms of agreements are all there with Acanac and so also also all of my last up letters of complaints to accent about their poor services and their poor Reponses. The undeniable obvious evidence  that my internet speed has been capped is there too.

*Bell’s Consumer complaints , abuses and their increase was so predictable

 .
Have you noticed that when it rains your Home  internet  speed reduces drastically?
.
Bell still needs to be regulated, and prosecuted for lying too.  They lied, Mislead about the internet speeds one gets at home
https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2015/05/22/thye-lied-mislead-about-the-internet-speeds-one-gets-at-home/
.

Bell lying does not tell all of  the customers that it’s ISP is lousy beforehand..
https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/02/20/bell-canada-recently-is-so-ready-to-sue-others-first-needs-to-sue-itself/
.
Bell has been doing local upgrades or reducing the internet  speeds  so they can have more capacities for cellular phones  for the last ten years and yet still LYING SAYING ALL THE ISP FAULT IS ONLY  IN MY HOME TOO.
.

BELL HAD INITIALLY LIED TO ME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WERE PROVIDING ME A DECENT, RELIABLE HIGH SEED SERVICE   FOR WHICH I HAD PAID AND WHEN I NEXT DID A SPEED TEST EVEN A FEW YEARS AGO AND FOUND OUT THEY WERE LIARS, THEY DISCONTINUED MY SERVICES NEXT AS I HAD REPORTED  THE TRUTH ABOUT BELL TO THE WHOLE WORLD ON THE NET IN WRITING.

And  note the term up to.. the speed can drop by 90 percent by the time it reaches you  A 2013 study by the Ottawa-based Public Interest Advocacy Centre found that most Canadians think they can expect to receive the maximum speed advertised for the internet package they subscribe to..

However, the study also found that internet service providers didn’t know what speeds customers actually get and there is much  evidence that the maximum speeds customers get are much  lower than advertised. So who does anything good about this in reality and how often?   NO ONE!https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2015/01/26/useless-crtc/

.
Bell and Acanac NEXT tells me I have a high speed internet, even an optical one, but yet I continue to have an internet connectivity problem still.. and   low speeds    http://www.dramafever.com/drama/

When I on my high speed computer, with a large hard drive, an adequate memory now too, I try to view an internet video, on different internet sites too with no other software applications running in the background as well  during the weekend, the peak hours the video now still is extremely choppy or it fails to load at all or It stops every 5 seconds!clearly due to inadequate  connection speed or congestion in the internet.  The same video next  runs well during non peak hours. This is still totally unacceptable.
.
Why does it takes months  and months even  for the CRTC to deal with a clearly open and shut case. .. where to date even  Bell- Acanac has lied, abused me, not provided their promised internet services. Well? https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2015/01/26/useless-crtc/
.

Your actual slow speed on your computer end may be a result of your local line quality or distance from a DSLAM. It is entirely possible the full problem is on Bell’s end with their infrastructure, or lack thereof, and/or rarely your own homes line. DSL and Cable both are  cumbersome,  finicky technology. Prices often are first 12 months, and then it jacks up to double or more? Those that might disagree, I would also ask how much real help at the Bell DSL support centers any time of the day?

A Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM, ) allows telephone lines to make extended  connections to the Internet. It is a network device, located in the telephone exchanges of the service providers, that connects multiple customer Digital Subscriber Lines (DSLs) to a high-speed Internet backbone line using multiplexing techniques  By placing remote DSLAMs at locations remote to the telephone exchange, telephone companies can extend   DSL service to locations previously beyond effective range, but not all areas are covered or get a good Bell access still.

Accanac had mentioned on their internet site that they do not cap their downloads.. but they conveniently had forgot to also say to all of the potential customers on their site that they lease their services from Bell and that Bell itself still regularly between 4 pm to 2 am caps their downloads.. when confronted with this they Acanac Inc do reply that they do not cap or throttle their downloads but Bell does.. what a misleading play on words. What else do thye lie about too now? The CRTC are not bowing to the whims of big business – they’re approving Bell’s throttling, but rather thye must stop the   throttling,

ACANAC  OFFERS VPN,  TUNNELIER TO TRY TO REDUCE THE THROTLING

So when will I rightfully get from Bell what I had promised and paid for, decent, reliable high speed service for I have not seen it the last ten years.
 .
Yes I have seen for years, including this week, many many Bell employees working at the local substations.
Now firstly Bell STILL measuring my Internet systems reliability at the initial maximum speed at Bell is an immoral, absurd, ludicrous approach.. so do more honestly measure rather the actual final speed, reliability at the customer’s destination, my home.. the actual minimum Bell speed provided… and it does next greatly varies and differs. Bells advertised speeds are thus falsely misleading to all consumers. But even speed does not compensate for the actual reliability of the internet service provided.
  .
-NOW why is it as it happened to me yesterday that when it comes to weekends I have major connectivity problems still.. never mind the excuses when can I have a decent promised paid for service?
 .
-AND WHEN I LOG OFF I HAVE TO WAIT A LONG TIME TO TRY TO GET LOGGED BACK ON..
 .
PROBLEMS I HAVE REPORTED TO YOU   ALL NOW  MANY YEARS AS WELL
 .
I UNACCEPTABLY HAVE HAD BELL’S PROMISES to me broken all the time too now!  and why do you think I have asked the  useless Cons, the federal government to regulate Bell now too?
 .
Bell’s Consumer complaints , abuses and their increase was so predictable because Canada’s too often major telecommunications companies, the 3 Stooges, for they  too have not changed nor their abusive behaviors Bell included now. Bell (TSX:BCE), Telus (TSX:T) and Rogers (TSX:RCI.B) “lead the ladder in terms of complaints”. In total 3,747 complaints were  received in the 2009-2010 monitoring period, up from those in 2008-2009.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/about-time-big-3-put-into-their-place-bell-rogers-and-telus/
 .
Bruce Cran of the Consumers’ Association of Canada said he believes the statistics could be even higher because the No. 1 complaint he receives is about cellphone contracts. “Consumers deserve a whole lot better deal,” Cran said from Vancouver. “I think consumers are being oversold on their cellphone contracts. I think they’re deliberately made over complicated, certainly by the big three,” Cran said referring to Rogers, Bell and Telus. A nagging problem for many consumers was when they asked to take their telephone numbers from one service provider to another and then had problems with billing or service. “This surprises consumers considering that the industry heavily promotes the ability to change providers but keep your phone number, and the portrayal is one of a simple and smooth process,”  “We just think it’s wrong that if you have the right to go to another provider, you should be able to do that without essentially being double billed for a month,” 44 per cent of complaints involved billing errors and 35 per cent were related to contract complaints.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/101028/3consumertech/wireless_complaints
 .

Are you also frustrated with your service provider? You’re not alone for sure.

.

AND ANYONE WHO HAS TRIED TO DEAL WITH BELL SERVICE, COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT KNOWS HOW OBSTINATE, STONE WALLING, UNHELPFUL THEY MOSTLY CAN BE TOO.. BELL HAS MADE LOADS OF MONEY VY LYING THAT IT BOUGHT  CTV AND THE Globe & Mail  NEWSPAPER.
https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/11/21/bell-and-telus-unrealistic-management-expectations/
 .
Which reminds me my Bell internet services is still disastrous, unreliable, I have connectivity problems even as of lately periodically when I have no downloads even, I have email sending problems as well.. and what Bell does not know how to fix this still and it wants more money? dream on.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/basic-contract-law/
 .
It is absolutely pathetic, disgusting that I have to fight with Bell, be  threatened with a lawsuit, all  to get my rightful  matters settled in the end.. and next bad history with Bell likley repeats itself still too.. Do all  consumers have to go through this process now as well?
People often ask me where is the Consumer affairs ministers in all of this still? sleeping too, who with?
.
They Bell do  fix one problem and they seem to create another. Here is the reality Bell’s existing Internet system in still not totally  adequate, it has defects, shortcomings, something they never seem to admit or tell others.  Plus in the process of upgrading, modernization, creativity Bell continuously makes changes to it’s internet supply services, which next cause significant connectivity problems with some of their existing, non compatible equipment,  as well as major problems for their related clients, major ISP problems. Major Problems  that Bell dishonestly covers up, lies about  and  tends never to admit  to, for fear of any negative repercussions, and for fear of being likley held financial responsible of any damages of course. This approach of Bell is all inexcusable still..

.

About a month ago the Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications (CCTS) released their annual study and found that 51% of the total telecom complaints (3,747) were regarding wireless. Billing errors (44%) and the contract disputes (35%) were at the top of the list.

.

The CCTS  created in 2007   is an independent and industry-funded agency that customers can dispute issues such as billing, contracts and service regarding telephone, wireless and Internet providers.

.

Now  the CRTC declared   that effective January 2011 all Canadian telecom service providers must join the CCTS.

.

It’s probably a good move for us customers? Now do not count your eggs yet. I have already used their services services twice,.

.

I recently filed a complaint with the CCTS-CRTC and TWICE they gave me a useless response the last one  justifying Bell’s bad acts. This was not the kind of honest service we expect from them

> I can’t connect to the Internet through a broadband Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) or cable connection.

Make sure that:

Your modem is turned on.

The Ethernet cable is plugged correctly into the Ethernet port on the modem and on your computer.

The phone line is plugged correctly into the modem and the phone jack.

You are not using a DSL filter between the phone jack and the modem

Check the lights on your modem. These can sometimes indicate the location of the problem—whether it is the Ethernet connection, the power to the modem, or the DSL or cable connection.

Save your work, turn your modem off, and then turn your computer off. Wait 10 seconds, and then turn the modem and the computer back on.

Turn your router off, wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.

Ask your Internet service provider (ISP) to verify that:

Its servers and lines, EQUIPMENT AND CARDS are all presently functioning correctly.

and so I rightfully even did that now TOO many times too..
 .
and Bell next here seems always to  lie  and says there never is anything wrong with their internet system, the problem is elsewhere,. I have about a decade of bad experiences on this with Bell now.
 .
Bell’s  phone lines are reliable cause they are not as complicated as their internet systems..
 .
Normally my internet is on 24 hours per day but this week next my internet access problem started when I logged off the internet and next tried to log back on.. I was unable to do so. I would occasionally get DSL access but no internet access. In the past reaccessing the internet has also been a very slow process.
 .
If you check with the  Bell  files you will note that in the last decade I have already rightfully detailed, mailed at least 270 letters of complaints about Bell poor support services, their false lies, diversions including blaming firstly the customers or others for all of their own  internet inadequacies.. that is both immoral and absurd.. and for me nothing has really basically changed here the last 10 years with the Bell support personnel too.. .
 .
NOW 3 SEPARATE TIMES  THIS WEEK BELL-ACANAC  PERSONNEL HAD AGAIN LIED TO ME AND SAID THAT THEY HAD CHECKED THEIR INTERNET SYSTEM AND IT WAS ALL WORKING FINE.. BUT they Bell in my home finally NEXT ADMITTED TO ME  TO THE EXISTENCE OF SUPPOSEDLY  MINOR BELL  PROBLEMS THEY NOW HAD SUPPOSEDLY DEALT WITH TOO BUT ON MY END I COULD NOT EVEN ACCESS THE INTERNET STILL.
 .
The length of time, days, weeks and NOT 24 hours to service a customer ISP problem NOW by both Acanac / Bell  is also still unacceptable, and many new potential customers would be really rightfully displeased if they are made aware of it too.
 .
Sadly lately the support services from Acanac DSL department has not been much better over THAT OF  Bell’s, both seem to predictable : they both lie, buck pass and are uncaring about the customers’ needs, concerns. Acanac  tech personnel even twice lied to me on the date that the replacement Acanac modem for testing purposes was sent.. now they claimed it was sent on the 16  Nov  in fact it was sent 2 days later on the 18 only.
 .
Bell also still maintains that only their Bell high speed modems can effectively handle their internet systems and that the Acanac supplied  modems are all  inadequate to do so, and are the cause of my problem solved by me switching over to Bell or buying a Bell high speed modem.  Now Bell this week says again to me that Acanac supplies inferior, inadequate defective modems to their clients, as well and is this the reality? They Bell are clearly also working hard to discredit Acanac  and  to put Acanac  out of business by the dissatisfied Acanac customers.
  .
Bell now is claiming that they are doing their best to fix the problems, fools can do their best too, but the their best is still inadequate, and  I only care about the end result rightly that they fix the problem immediately not any of their excuses..
 .
Bell had also had  sent  me a mickey mouse technician this week who CLEARLY did  not know what to do for he had to continually phone BY CELLPHONE the office for instructions as to what he should do next, AND he admits to me  that there is a BELL  internet synchronization problem, and  a problem with a fiber optics conversion card at the local substation as well, plus that there are presently many other persons in my area with similar problems, but all that information still does me no good if I cannot have my internet working today..
 .
The Bell technical promises to look at the problem elsewhere and to come back if the system still does not work. ne never came back. Bell tries next to say the problem still is solely  the Acanac modem..
 .
– Do tell Bell that them price gouging their costumers by charging a 100 dollars fees for a supposedly unwarranted  service call can only be acceptable if it is balanced by a 100 dollar customer credit for the CUSTOMER  problems if it was warranted as well.. AND IN THAT CASE  BELL RIGHTFULLY OWES ME A THOUSAND DOLLARS ALREADY EVEN. REALITY ON MY STREET CABLE IS MORE RELIABLE OVER BELL.
 .
– Now firstly Bell STILL measuring my Internet systems reliability at the initial maximum speed at Bell is an immoral, absurd, ludicrous approach.. so do more honestly measure rather the actual final speed, reliability at the customer’s destination, my home.. the actual minimum Bell speed provided… and it does next greatly varies and differs. Bells advertised speeds are thus falsely misleading to all consumers. But even speed does not compensate for the actual reliability of the internet service provided.
 .
– Again I semi annually get the same internet phone line problems to my home… and always next  the same lying approach.. the same lies.. they first do also start to blame me, or my phone line, my modem, my filter, my computer, my operating system.. but they next had to look elsewhere.. in Bell itself again and again too. The problem was never my modems, my computers, my caches, my operating systems but solely Bell’s poor and even  lack of local line capacities that was not up to what they had promised,  lied to us all that it was, is. Bell says it is more reliable over Cable.. that presently is not so also  in my area for sure as well.
 .
Bell who clearly has a monopoly with Videotron in my area where I have no other choices to go to, had refused falsely to provide me presently my adequate internet support services through Acanac?  Was it cause they Bell have now even written to me twice in the last 2 months and had offered to provide the internet service directly through Bell itself and wanted to make Acanac look very inadequate in the customer’s eyes? they succeeded?
 .
As per  this subject of the Lying Bell typical approach is that they next again had phoned me on the Nov 17 and lie and say everything is ok at their end for they firstly refuse to go to the field to check the problem.. they check at their end and the initial signal as ok.. but what happens next at the detonation, my final destination they falsely lie and say it is due  to the faulty  modem.. as usual. Note but while I was talking to the Bell technician on the phone  and Bell  they were testing Internets services   the 3rd light the DSL modem came on, indicating they had a control over it and the problem was not at my end..
 .
The same Bell technician conceded that such problems were coming in fact and related to the weather,  humidity and explained why there was connectivity problems at certain seasons.. he said such problems are difficult to fix.. but who cares how difficult it is fix it Bell for that is your jobs . Bell here says that they want  to consider a separate line for the internet from the phone, but this still will not help if the connection problem  is located at their local  junction boxes outside of my home.
  .
Bell’s exterior line connections to my home which are already known and next confirmed to be faulty, and inadequate.
  .
And when in the world did you ever hear Bell firstly even admit it was wrong, at fault  in anything, for these definite liars have never ever done so with me even  in my last ten years of semi annually almost complaining about my too many sudden internet problems.. and which always turned out to be the fault if Bell next too in the past.
 .
When will Bell honestly  ever admit is own negative contributions to my ISP problems?
 .
Now also when can I get proper permanent action on all of these matters still?
 .
and what about me not getting caught in the middle of a Bell-Acanac wars,
 .
and or me not being  caught in the middle as to who is responsible to insure myself that my internet services are being adequately provided rather ASAP as well
 .
I talked on 17 November directly, face to face  to the Cable Videotron local inspector about their present customer services and 5 years ago they had loads of problems, now they reduce the number of customers to 175 maximum on a branch, and they in contrast do have a 24 service hour turn around unlike Acanac  and they Videotron now  do have loads of ex Bell satisfied customers as well.. unfortunately they still do price gouge their customers with their capping as well.
  .
Days later a Bell executive phoned me today Nov 19 to review  a phone survey on Bell’s effectiveness and he said he will issue a new ticket to deal with the all of these  issues. Now they say I will have the problem dealt with by the new year.. do you believe them? I do not.

IF  YOU READ MY BLOGS YOU KNOW THAT I DO OFTEN RIGHTFULLY complain that in Canada it is bad cops, crooks and liars who seem to be the only one who can have a freedom of speech and they do not like it when you tell the truth about them to others, so they next do harass you, obstruct justice, repeatedly try to threaten you with a lawsuit, even recently. I have been threatened too many times with lawsuits of a long time, from Bell Canada, Royal LePage, others and I told them to go a head, they have more to lose then I have and I do welcome more publicity to all about my rightful complaints about their bad acts.

  .
Now next a word from the Bell liars..

   .
So Every time I talk or write  to Bell they lie, clearly show what fools they are and they falsely ask for more information that they supposedly need to do their work.
.

Bell does not like you to put anything in writing.. especially something that next shows to all as to how pretentious, stupid, incompetent they can tend to be.. so they ask you to phone them but  my own  many, repetitive experiences is that even the phone calls  to them are next buck passed, the Bell  persons you are talking to is also still pretentious, incompetent, has no authority to deal with your problem complaint., and often can’t speak English even.. So what is the purpose of Bell advertising this main service number for when you call them as I  did often they act very stupid,  then tell me I have to call someone else.. or do something else too. Talking with them is staill a waste of time..  and Bell still has a high volume of complaints  ehh and they cannot  handle them?? then who can?

.

Take this clear, open and shut undeiable example. Now because of health problems my father was forced to move into to a government run hospital facilties for seniors. He there had paid a flat 1700 dollar monthly fee for all the services but no phone in his room was provided.. So I called, sent an email to  Bell to install a phone and which they did. When my father’s health condition worsened months later and he subsequently died I as you can see below had immediately    emailed Bell to discontinue their Phone  service and many times I  was was given a run around instead.  They basically had said my dead father had to confirm the cancellation of his services, what they want a seance?  and they next had kept on charging my father who was buried, had moved out of the facilties for months, for the continual use of a phone.  How absurd on their part. Rather visbly incompetent fools.

>Unfortunately, the aforementioned details were not included in your correspondence and are required to assist you further.

Now we also do see  bellow that they Bell also cannot even read.. the Name and telephone number was included (514) 769-1381

Thank you for your kind reply, but actually if you check your Bell  files you will note that in the last decade I have mailed at least 270 letters of complaints about Bell poor support services, and for me nothing has really basically changed here.

Verizon Wireless pays FCC $25M for years of false data charges

The Federal Communications Commission said Thursday that it has reached a record $25 million settlement with Verizon Wireless over the company’s wrongly charging subscribers “mystery” Internet fees over the past several years. The payment will go to the U.S. Treasury and is the largest settlement in FCC history. The settlement also ends the FCC’s 10-month investigation into overcharges at Verizon Wireless, the agency said in a news release. An FCC spokeswoman declined to comment on whether the settlement also ends the agency’s other billing inquiries.

With the action, Verizon Wireless’s total costs associated with false data fees reached $77.8 million, one of the largest payouts for false business practices in the communications services industry. Verizon said this month that it would refund about 15 million subscribers $52.8 million for those unwanted data charges.

Verizon Wireless is the nation’s largest wireless service provider with 90 million subscribers. The firm announced its refund amid an FCC investigation into data charges brought from complaints from consumers.

This month, the FCC began an exploration into regulations that would require cellphone service providers to alert users when they are close to going over their monthly allotted voice, text and data limits. In a survey, the agency said 30 million cellphone users said they experienced “bill shock,” with extra charges on their monthly bills for data overcharges and other fees.

and what are they doing in Canada about any of  this.. the watchdog  is sleeping on the job again? or sleeping with Bell? Bad CRTC gives Bell a green lights on usage based internet billing .

.

” Metered internet usage is on the way, with the CRTC handing down its final decision on how wholesale customers can be billed by large network owners. The federal regulator on Thursday gave Bell Canada the approval to implement so-called usage-based billing to wholesale customers — usually smaller internet service providers that rent portions of its network — within 90 days. Under the plan, Bell will charge wholesale service providers a flat monthly fee to connect to its network, and for a set monthly usage limit per each ISP customer the ISP has. Beyond that set limit, users will be charged per gigabyte, depending on the speed of their connections. Customers using the fastest connections of five megabits per second, for example, will have a monthly allotment of 60 GB, beyond which Bell will charge $1.12 per GB to a maximum of $22.50. If a customer uses more than 300 GB a month, Bell will also be able to implement an additional charge of 75 cents per gigabyte. Customers of smaller ISPs such as Teksavvy and Execulink who signed up for service before Feb. 1, 2007, will be “grandfathered,” where their unlimited usage plans will be honoured. The CRTC did, however, give Bell the right to periodically raise rates on grandfathered plans in order to urge customers on to metered services.

  .
“we already have the most expensive cell phones on earth thanks to the big 3, and starting soon the most expensive internet.” “When was the last time the CRTC handed down a final decision that actually benefited customers? I say dissolve the CRTC. It’s little more than a slave to the big telecoms. “ “ Just like with cell phones, while the rest of the world moves forward, Canada runs backwards! You pay more to get less. Who in his right mind would be for this?  Bent over again by Bell’s lacky the CRTC. How does this do anything but hurt Canadian consumers? Another kick in the teeth from the CRTC…Internet caps in this country are ridiculously low and the rate at which the companies charge on a per gb basis is ludicrous! GB’s at most are less than 1cent in cost for the company to operate and somehow there’s this huge inflation in price. “  “  the profits don’t even go towards bettering the connection! Canada’s tech environment is suffering greatly with this approval. Dump the CRTC, please, for the sake of social advancement.”  ” In the U.S. internet usage by consumers is unlimited, meaning there is no restrictions on how much you can download. The CRTC is a joke and they need to be disbanded. They continue to suppress competition and ignore consumer needs.”  “CRTC just allowed Shaw to buy Canwest’s tv stations. Wasn’t it Bell that just bought CTV? Why is the CRTC allowing the telecoms to take over all of our media? We used to have laws restricting this kind of activity because it’s dangerous to us as a society.

CRTC ruling handcuffs competitive market: TeksavvyGlobe and Mail –  The CRTC has varied one of its decisions on an appeal, which means pretty soon Bell will be allowed to charge wholesale Internet service providers – ISPs, such as Primus and TekSavvy – on a usage-based billing model. Anybody using TV over Internet right now is going to be severely affected by this. I mean, it makes anybody trying to do streaming right now a pretty big concern. Do you keep surfing the Internet? Do you watch TV on the Internet? Just how much gaming do you do because some games now require some pretty big bandwidth?

Thursday’s CRTC decision granted Bell Canada the ability to charge its customers based on the amount of data they download. All data over the Internet is about to officially become a metered commodity in Canada. Know we all know this is how Bell plans to pay for the CTV network IT HAD RECENTLY  bought and WILL BELL ALSO START TO CHARGE FOR THE PAST FREE TV SERVICES TOO?
 .
“However, unlike traditional commodities, where the market sets the price, there isn’t a clear idea of how much a GB of traffic is really worth. The ISP sets the price, and you have to pay it. “CBC.ca
 .
“We are wimps in this country manipulated by a couple of huge corporations that help each other by following virtually the same insane prices for their communication products. As Rogers did with Bell on the torrent issue, they both work hand in hand to have Canadians paying the highest prices in the world.”” Strikes me as sort of double taxation.  “
 .
”  The biggest problem with comparing bandwidth to other metered services like water or electricity is that bandwidth isn’t a scarce resource. It’s essentially unlimited and continues (and will continue) to become more plentiful, faster and cheaper. Consuming 1 GB today is many times cheaper & faster than it was 5 years ago, and it will be many times cheaper & faster in 5 years.  So with that in mind, why is the CRTC implementing such short-sighted usage caps? And more importantly, why are they protecting Bell?  Bell & Rogers are fighting like cats and dogs for a metered, regulated Internet not because of this apparent lack of capacity that they have (which is garbage), but because they are afraid that what we do with that capacity will cut into their other revenue streams. Every movie I watch on Netflix or rent through the iTunes store is revenue taken away from Bell. And as more people get used to the ease-of-use of Internet-based content delivery, Bell & Rogers’ content services come under more pressure. That’s why they are fighting so hard to keep our Internet use down, and it’s a shame that the CRTC bought their argument. “ “ We don’t pay Bell, Rogers, etc., for the amount of internet we use, we pay them for access to it? These companies only want usage based billing because it is a cash-cow! Do you want to pay a fee for ever kilometre you drive down a road? How about every step you take in a mall, someone’s has to pay to maintain those floors? It is a scam supported by the CRTC! And my reply is “SHAME ON THE CRTC! Your job is to protect the public’s rights, not only the telco’s!”
 .
“ And when hydro says, “Conservation is about protecting the environment!” they are feeding us another line! No it’s not? It’s about guilt-tripping people into accepting every rate hike and expense recovery crap line they have been feeding us for years! Of course, our rate today is more than 4 times higher over 20 years ago, so what are they showing for it? Do we have really cool hydrogen fuel-cell power plants? Nope, instead they close down nuclear plants in favour of (much cheaper to operate) coal! And the majority of the public is guilt-tripped into buying this crap! Now, the link to the telco’s and internet is that this newer industry is learning from their fattened-cow older sibling on how to rape the public and make them feel like it is their fault! So ask yourself, “Do I really expect my house to have any less electronics 10 years from now? Do I really think I will be using less internet and hydro 10 years from now?” If they keep up with these billing practices, the answer will be “yes” because we can’t afford it otherwise…but my bill won’t go down as a result! I will be paying more than I am now and getting much less for it! “
 .
“Bandwidth caps limit innovation, Bell doesn’t have to worry about that because they want to be the content provider and force their service, (ex. IPTV) which is on a non-capped line and doesn’t affect the capped line. What other services are they trying to implement?”
.
That’s a good one, you do realize that once the fiber lines are laid out it only costs them at most $2-3 per customer a month to maintain the connection right? The data is not and should not be treated as a commodity, they are tricking you all into thinking that bandwidth is some secret resource on our planet. It is not, it is flashes of light going through a line in the ground. That is all it is, you are paying hundreds a month for them to blink a light through an optical cable. If for instance bandwidth was driven by coal burning smoke signals then yes they would have a viable point. Quit being so ignorant, the CRTC by the way is made up of ex Bell/Rogers executives so no wonder they are never going to vote in public favour. “
 .
“ I am very upset that the CRTC continues to support these big companies and ignores the general public. How is it possible that a company with a monopoly on DSL lines is allowed to charge these outrageous prices. Does anyone really believe a GB of data costs 2 dollars? I work in telecom and believe me, these prices are highly inflated. The major cost is from running the phone line to your house and maintaining the equipment, tech support, etc.. A GB means nothing to Bell. Has anyone actually been shown by Bell how this will help their network? Is there network overloaded today? Have they not invested enough in infrastructure?
 .
Internet equipment is still dropping in price, and like computers in general, becoming more powerful every year. The cost of transferring a GB today is much less than a year ago, or 5 years ago.  So, why is Bell imposing this new billing now? Because of Netflix, and other competition to their TV/ pay per view. Its the content they want to control. They don’t want the competition. And if people are naive and say, well, this doesn’t affect me… you are mistaken. Less content providers means less competition. Less cheap internet means less working from home, remote access and other things that are and will become increasingly more used. So sad that this happens in Canada.”
 .
“Furthermore, this ruling is anti-competitive. Bell not only runs networks. They also run the telephone and television networks. The internet is clearly a major threat to both of these two money makers.”
 .
Obviously the CRTC didn’t see that report that pegged Canada as having some of the slowest, most expensive internet in the world. This just makes us that much more screwed. Why does Korea have unlimited internet 5-10x faster than our fastest residential internet, for only $29/month?”
 .
” There needs to be a check and balance to this. Usage based billing is fine, but it has to go both ways. If they’re charging $50 a month for 60gb and I only use 30gb, then I want to pay $25. If they want to run their business like the power or water utilities then do it. People who use power are charged accordingly and you have the ability to cut back on what you use at your own discretion. People can do the same thing with internet.
 .
The reality is that this would never happen because Bell’s business model preys on people over paying for service and knowing their users won’t use what they buy to the max. If every user in Canada bought internet and used 60gb each month Bell would be bankrupt in a month. Their whole business model is built on under delivering their product.”
 .
“This is what you get when you elect a Conservative government. They want to raise the price of every service in exchange for larger campaign donations from the corporations (shaw, bell, rogers, telus).”
 .
“We pay more for internet and cell phone use here than most places in the world by far! What a Joke! They just want to hijack us for more $$$ before more competition finally is allowed.”

“This is daylight robbery and we allow it to happen.GREAT!!”
 .
“UBB or usage based billing, as has been implemented by Bell and has received approval from the CRTC to apply it to their wholesalers, is a step backwards. Our technological advancement has been stunted for so long with companies like Bell and Rogers trying to keep things at status quo instead of trying to be the best in the world. I don’t know where these companies learned their marketing and customer relations values.
 .
While all of the major ISP’s currently do have data caps, their wholesalers (ie. Teksavvy, Acanac, etc) were able to provide much higher caps from 200 GB to unlimited. The CRTC’s ruling in favor of UBB will nullify the unlimited plans for many users on DSL (aka Bell). However, despite Rogers having data caps, they have recognized that they can allow their wholesalers to provide unlimited downloads in order to steal market share away from DSL. So while Bell is busy trying to nickel and dime everyone, Rogers has made deals with Teksavvy to provide plans that are not usage based. Acanac will be coming out with their own cable internet plans on November 1st, so I don’t know what they will have. But both Teksavvy and Acanac have always had good service with very reasonable prices. Ditch the big companies and go with Teksavvy or Acanac. Then you won’t need to worry when you watch a ton of movies from netflix or your kid spent hours watching new movie trailers or youtube videos or gaming… there are endless uses that will eat up your bandwith. Get unlimited.”

After going through what seems to have been several years without getting hit with a serious virus, this weekend I got nailed with a killer. It was one of those extremely annoying trojan viruses that digs it’s way into your system and causing some serious damage along the way. The fun worst part about this virus was how it would instantly activate itself upon windows starting up, then to make matters worse, it would instantly close out any applications you tried to open and wiped out internet access all together.  The main goal of the virus was to not only infect your computer, but also to make money in the process. On the flip side, there are tons of web sites cashing in on anti virus software without being bastards and having to infect computers with a virus to make their living. Web sites dedicated to providing information on how to remove these viruses are also cashing in.
 .
ORGANISED crime online has become rife over the last few years with more and more computer and Internet users falling victim to phishing and different forms of viruses and spyware.   we are now entering a new era where viruses are being deliberately developed and spread for potential profit – huge profit. Antivirus software is becoming big business, not only because new viruses are constantly being created or ‘improved’ that can bypass existing antivirus software, but also because people are living in fear of getting a nasty infection and losing all their valuable data. Many people are also even  scammed into purchasing antivirus or anti-spyware software by being made to believe that their pc is infected. There are many ways that any computer connected to the Internet can become infected or accessed by viruses and spyware. http://witnessthis.wordpress.com/2010/11/02/viruses-and-why-they%e2%80%99re-so-profitable/

Big bad Mother Bell is still so greedy

Bell she wants all the money for herself. But you already know as to how bad Bell is if you did  read my blog here. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/04/27/basic-contract-law/

Big win for small Internet providers Vancouver Sun  The country’s major Internet providers, such as BCE Inc.’s Bell Canada and Telus Corp., will be forced to lease network space to smaller competitors at matching speeds to ensure competition for broadband services, the telecommunications regulator said in a key ruling Monday. The decision, delivered after hearings last spring, is a critical if only partial victory for independent resellers like TekSavvy Solutions Inc. and Telnet Communications, which will now be able to keep pace with incumbent offerings. Yet for Telus and Bell, it is a big blow in their fight to gain television share and slow phone line losses against rival cable companies Shaw Communications Inc. and Rogers Communications Inc. Limited bandwidth capacity the pair would rather use for new Internet TV products must now instead go toward wholesale services under regulated prices and fixed returns. In the decision, Konrad von Fickenstein, chairman of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission, acknowledged that big providers are investing in network infrastructure, but regulated access was still required to foster “more competition and (to better serve consumers).” Third-party resellers’ business model depends on set prices for wholesale network access, which is then resold to customers.

Exemplary, rather you mostly still do mean the wrong type of example.. All of our leaders were to set examples not merely to farcically, hypocritically prosecute  all the other wrong doers.. It seems we are too often still hearing that too many our civil and public servants are abusing others, only pretending to be doing their work, stealing, cheating, lying, even guilty of drunk driving and none of that is acceptable.. and we just see the tip of the iceberg

And everybody else does it is also still never a justifiable excuse..

Bell’s lies vs reality again

I can’t believe it decades later some sick control fool still tries to give me orders, tries to enslave me, walk over me, and why do they think they can even do it… My logo name alone should have warned them –  thenonconformer. The best way to deal with any of these false slave drivers is to shout rape loudly to all persons, and let everyone know what is being done. the News media is not the only one that can shout sins across the housetops, so can we  all with the internet now too. The past once nobodies like Apostle Paul, Marlin Luther, Martin Luther King all had learned the pen is mightier than the sword.. once the truth is exposed, the proper informed persons tend to deal with the matter, and with those involved next anyway.. but too bad the bad guys did not repent when they had a chance, for next it is often really too late to avoid their coming  real negative  consequences..  Now I have been OFTEN writing to news editors for the last 30 years.. MAILED OUT EMAIL TO THOUSANDS EVERY MONTH TOO,   in all that time less than a dozen important people asked me not to write to them any  more, and less than a handful news editors now too.. many of these politicians who  how had written to me had lost reelection next.. and do note that all of the news editors that wrote to me and said do not write to me anymore their firms are financially broke today, and even some gone out of business.. like the Montreal CFCF. You see they broke the first law of successful management.. you do not despise, mistreat, abuse others and hope to get their vote, support,  but  now they also broke the other rules next.. and you do not abuse others for you do not know who their  friends are now  are too.. These bad CONTROL FREAKS WHO TRY TO ENSLAVE, DOMINATE OTHERS ARE SICK PEOPLE NEEDING still PROFESSIONAL HELP IN REALITY.. We also do all know that most persons  still  tend to take an ostrich denial approach to their own faults, shortcomings still and thus hasten their own downfall as a result too.. When a business’s profitability is severely reducing, dropping, the top  management often fails to admit the truth, the real reasons as to why,  and they also tend to falsely among many other things
– lie some more
– raise their prices to try to try to increase their profitability, making themselves more uncompetitive
– cut back on customer services, clearly making matters even worse
– resort to costly, false, misleading advertisements again
– blame their employees , and have a high employee turnover, making matters worse
– blame other facts for their own management failures,

What to Do When You Have Complained Without Any Results? KEEP ON MAILING YOUR COMPLAINTS TO ALL TILL YOU GET RESULTS FIRSTLY..
AND ANYONE WHO HAS TRIED TO DEAL WITH BELL SERVICE, COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT KNOWS HOW OBSTINATE, STONE WALLING, UNHELPFUL THEY MOSTLY CAN BE TOO..
FALSE MISLEADING ADVERTISING ALREADY BY Bell  their  fastest and most reliable wireless network INCLUDES ONLY SOME PARTS OF CANADA, NOT APPLICABLE CANADA WIDE..

Many can see clearly that Rogers, Bell, Videotron, Shaw, Telus all only care about one thing.. maximum profits.. motivated by maximum greed..  mostly finding an excuse to charge the customer even for more.. and yes that they have done with their lies, distortions … and no one cares about integrity or  the citizens, consumer, the CRTC or the governments now included.

Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty persons seems to be most effective way that works for everyone’s benefit in dealing with the bad acts of others still.

Reality
Bell launched their HSPA network on Tuesday and 3 days after we’ve been informed that an new issue has popped up. It’s regarding select Canadian customers on their HSPA network who are getting billed for roaming while in Canada. Apparently, as experienced with EVDO devices, the HSPA devices may be picked up by a U.S. cell tower and those customers are being billed US roaming rates.
http://mobilesyrup.com/2009/11/06/bell-creates-accidental-roaming-in-canada-as-some-hspa-clients-getting-charged-while-in-canada/

The spin doctors, liars were at it again, also telling you that iphones sales were recession proof and that many, many people in Canada were buying the cell phones now,  but the real reality was, is that Canadian Mobile Phone Market had stalled in Q3, thoid quarter of the year.  The projected  Canadian mobile phone market growth now  did not occur again. The market rather receded 8% in the third quarter of 2009 (3Q09), which also had marked the third straight sequential decline, according to preliminary results from IDC Canada’s Mobile Phone Tracker. Handset makers had also shipped 4% fewer units to wireless service providers and other channel partners in the third quarter when compared to the same quarter last year. Some analysts  now  attribute  the weaker-than-projected  performance to the actual tepid Canadian economy, which is still in a recession, and the shrinking traditional phone segment, plus whatever. It’s all also a step backwards when compared to the market performance in the second quarter of this year – the third quarter shipments had declined 1.7% compared to 2Q09.. reality contradicts the liars again.

Now here is something most active computer internet users do also know and have also complained about.. Did you also now  notice that none of the Canadian news media will confront Bell or the CRTC about any of this, Bell’s immoral acts and now why is that? Do tell us all. They want to get Bell’s advertisements? or they too have something to hide? which one is it?  Well when you do rightfully tell the real truth like I  do, next there is nothing to try to hide, to deny, to cover up, and  it makes life much more easier too. I do not have to threaten anyone or threathen falsey to sue them now too.

False misleading advertising has long time been made by Telus, Rogers, Bell and others in Canada whole the Ostrich federal consumer dperantmt, government did nothing.. I even wrote to you about THIS ISSUE  too and what it takes the courts to deal with everything now, AND so why do we need the  government

CBC did not mind writing about New conflict unearthed at Ontario Health … but what about the other bad guys like Bell now too? If you have a tip, please send us an email at yournews@cbc.
Firstly real Life mainly is not about the Government, the news media, anyone else to be here to help  the selected few, big business mostly to make more money and to get richer in fact. Life it is about all of us helping to meet the basic, essential needs of all Canadians, note all, young and old, male and female, white collared or blue collared, professionals, unprofessional, natives or non natives too.

It is an established, undeniable fact that at least 40 percent off Bell’s present, past customers have  been dissatisfied with the actual customer support they have received in Canada relating to cell phones, internet services, billings, etc. That is why many of them have gone elsewhere even to Videotron, Acanac, etc.

Bell’s New Network Fastest And Most Reliable  MONTRÉAL – Canadians can now access the country’s largest, fastest and most reliable wireless network with Bell Mobility’s launch this week of its highly anticipated HSPA network and a range of new HSPA smartphones and turbo sticks.

The bigger they think they are the harder they do fall next too.. It is really not what you think you are that counts, but rather how the other people mostly do see you now.. they are sadly what laughing at you too? People always do watch how you do treat others, cause they know they likely will be treated the same way next too. Do you treat everyone else the  way you treat me too?

I learned long time ago that merely telling the truth to some people will not work, they have their false idols, false lies they still want to handle, and they will take the Ostrich approach to the truth, but hopefully the truth will next still help some people.”

Please do first reply to me, please do answer the question or quit the CBC first.. it is as simple as that.. you like to write about corrupt eHealth officials but not about corrupt Bell employees? I do not work for you, I do not take your orders.. you work for me, all the Canadian citizens.. I send out hundreds of these to elected representatives, others  and only one, you did not like it… why was that?

Remind your Boss also in full I have a right of free speech in Canada, whether you likese  it or admits it or not.. and don’t bother sending the police to my home about my letters, cause they have come and gone many times, sent by other crooked political masters too,  and yes many of whom next lost their re-election next too, and I am still writing the last 3 decades even  to all..

Now I would rather you deal with the issues I write about and rightfully now too

Bell does not discriminate, show partiality, it seems ready to abuse anyone.. ROGERS AS WELL NOW FOR THAT MATTER https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/about-time-big-3-put-into-their-place-bell-rogers-and-telus/

Telus sues Rogers over advertised claims    Telus Communications Co. is suing Rogers Communications Inc., claiming Rogers no longer has the right to call itself “Canada’s most reliable” or “Canada’s fastest” network.  So if Rogers wants to continue with this claim, they should cover all of Canada and all their customers. Not just the ones that happen to live in a major city centre. Nationwide coverage??? Not even close.    I currently have Telus “high speed” Internet service. On numerous occasions, this Telus service has been slower than my old 56K dial-up service. That is why I am canceling my Telus service as of next week and going with the competition (just to see if they are any better).   Telus is in no position to be taking legal action based on Rogers engaging in misleading advertising. Telus does it too, with its advertised claims of high speed internet access. If Telus is advertising high-speed Internet service, it should be high speed 24/7, and not just when the network is not busy.   And this is not just my computer or modem being slow, as I have had numerous others tell me that their Telus “high speed” Internet service is very slow at times.   A perfect example of the pot calling the kettle black   Just another couple of corporate crybabies looking to gouge the customer.    http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2009/11/18/bc-telus-rogers-lawsuit.html

Telus Communications Inc. (T-T33.500.200.60%) launches legal action against Rogers Communications Inc. (RCI.B-T33.00-0.14-0.42%) for allegedly misleading ads claiming Rogers provides “Canada’s fastest network.”  In documents filed in B.C. supreme court, Telus says that since a Nov. 5 upgrade, a network run by Bell (BCE-T27.640.431.58%) and Telus offers faster and more reliable service than the Rogers network.  Telus says Rogers advertisements introduced in 2007 and continuing after Nov. 5 that claim Rogers provides “Canada’s fastest network: two times faster than any other,” are now false and misleading.  Telus also claims similar advertisements that Rogers provides “Canada’s most reliable network,” have also been false since Telus’ upgrade.  Telus is seeking a declaration from Rogers that its advertisements breached Canada’s Competition Act, in addition to injunction from distributing the ads, damages and compensation. Canada’s wireless telecommunications industry, in which Telus, Bell and Rogers control about 90 per cent of the market, is set to become more competitive as Telus and Bell introduce Apple’s coveted iPhone, which Rogers has offered for more than a year.  http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-investor/telus-sues-rogers-over-ad-claims/article1368486/

WHAT REAL RELIABLE DATA ALSO DO THEY HAVE TO SUPPORT THE TERM MOST RELIABLE NOW.. BY THE ACTUAL THE NUMBER OF CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS? OR IS THIS THEIR OWN SELF ANALYSIS, OR A PAID SPIN DOCTOR.

Telecom New Zealand’s Australian arm, AAPT hails as Australia’s first ISP to launch an ADSL 2+ plan with limitless downloads, no capping and no throttling. It has initiated with the offering of unlimited ADSL2+ broadband service to customers who are interested to sign-up for two years for around a $99.95 per month. However, a dozen ISPs offer unlimited downloads as part of their broadband Internet plans, but most of them facilitate reduced speeds while others charge fees for extra downloads. AAPT Chief Executive Paul Broad quoted, “As consumers, we all have a moral responsibility to ensure recording artists receive the royalties they rightly deserve and by offering our Entertainment Bundle we’re encouraging Australians to do the right thing”. In addition, AAPT has also undergone a deal with music label EMI to facilitate an online music service with the offer which will include $50 worth of song downloads and unlimited streamed content.
Quebec-based internet service provider Cogeco Inc. has stopped advertising its services as the fastest in in two Quebec cities after the Competition Bureau ruled the ads were misleading. The federal agency said the misleading claims about Cogeco’s services services in Drummondville and St-Hyacinthe had been clarified, but didn’t didn’t provide details on when the ads ran or say if its probe was spurred by a consumer complaint. The bureau said consumers had no way to compare the speed of Cogeco’s services with those of all of its competitors in the two cities, and it was therefore impossible for Cogeco to claim that they offered “the fastest” service. Cogeco’s CEO Louis Audet defended the ad campaign, saying the firm at the time had used an internet site that rates broadband speeds globally.  Cogeco is now using another method to compare speeds with them. Audet said he considers the Competition Bureau’s investigation to be minor. “I think what we were doing was rather benign. We advertised ourselves as the ‘fastest’ which is really the platform that we use across all of our territories where we compete with Bell and Telus,” he said

Claims about speed and reliability are becoming issues of dispute among Canada’s major wireless companies, too. They are fighting legal battles over those issues as they position themselves for more competition as more players enter the cellphone market. On Wednesday, a B.C. court ruled that Bell Mobility could not claim it was Canada’s “most reliable network” after Rogers challenged Bell’s ads as misleading.  Last month, a B.C. court brought an injunction to force Rogers Communications to stop claiming it was Canada’s most reliable network. That was the result of a complaint by Telus.

As the CBC’s Lynn Burgess http://www.cbc.ca/toronto/features/marywiens/ehealth.html knows first hand I seriously challenged Bell’s claim of being the most reliable network, as I have often posted on my sites this fact as to how unreliable they rather were . I have often rightfully said it is a very common unacceptable Canadian practice to lie in business and we keep on getting new news media evidence of this now as well..

Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services,

  iphone
Canadian cell phone companies are officially giving customers the ability to refuse mid-term changes to their contracts under a new wireless code of conduct. Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association on Tuesday, promises to let customers cancel their contracts without early termination fees if the carrier makes material changes to terms — or customers can refuse the changes outright. So, for example, if a customer is in the middle of a two-year contract and the carrier tries to raise prices, the customer can cancel the contract or continue their existing deal until it expires. “In the case of such material changes that are unfavourable to customers, we either give them the right to terminate the contract without any additional fees for early termination, or allow them to remain on the unchanged contract,” The code specifies that the rule doesn’t apply in the case of changes required by law or for customers without a fixed-term contract. ” They make it sound like they are doing us a favour my actually honouring a contract.”  “How nice of them to let us get out of a contract that was broken by the other party. You’d think common sense would have just allowed us to always do this. Wow, now contracts really GO both ways?” ”  This doesn’t mean a thing, Compainies like Rogers will finad another way to screw you like they have done for years.”
http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/09/01/cwta-wireless-code-conduct.html

How basically absurd in the first place.   The companies were by law already not allowed to change the terms of a SIGNED contract but yet they did anyway. All just ” More PR and BS!” Also ” Rogers is the worst culprit for their unrelenting repetitive telemarketing calls.” ” Just all more manure  to keep the related incompetent civil and public servants looking busy”. Cellular firms get new customer rules but they still have not honoured all the old ones.. Canada’s mobile phone companies will be required to make sure consumers understand their contracts when they buy a cellphone under a new code of conduct but will the phone companies next fully honour the same contracts? Unlikley.

This code of conduct in a very short while even  next was already abused, misused by Rogers.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/about-time-big-3-put-into-their-place-bell-rogers-and-telus/

There also have been well-publicized stories about users who fully befdorehand  didn’t understand the terms of their bills when it cames to text messaging or downloading movies or music and  they thus ended up with monthly bills costing thousands of dollars.  Horror stories have often already abounded about customers with unexpectedly very high cell phone bills due to a carrier over charging, or  customers being lied to,  misinformed ,  never originally being fully communicated when signing their original contract, promsied servcies not even delivered fully.  The supposedly new  supported code of conduct is now supposedly designed to help all of the wireless subscribers now understand all of their bills better, including the actual terms of service, contract agreements and advertising promises, all which  would not be even required, applicable if  all of the firm and employees  of these firms were honest in reality in the first place. The too often liars and bad employees are not about to stop their wrong doing because of a supposed new code very likely. The liars in the firms, elsewhere in rality  they all do need to be fired from their jobs firstly instead. Unless you do that all you have now is just another farcical merry go round.  Thus unkept promises, unenforced  and inadequate regulating of these firms is still the major bad problem. These are mostly the same firms, ISPs for the most part that had before  lied to us all already about their poor Internet services too. Now they  resolve your complaints efficiently, fairly and courteously? Ha, ha, ha,  rather they will find rather a buck passing way, false  excuse why they cannot help you in reality, as I have recently  experienced now too. PR is still mostlty lies these days. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/06/14/buyer-beware-beware/

Most Consumer advocates don’t think much of the new code. A code of conduct adopted by Canada’s cell phone service providers is a political answer that doesn’t address real consumer concerns, another competent  critic now has still charged .The code will be administered by the useless, pretentious  Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services, a body set up two years ago by the industry to negotiate disputes between customers and companies.

In its first year, 2007-08,  CCTS was still unable able to resolve about 40  per cent, of the complaints according to its own website. What a very high failure rate.  About one-third of the complaints were related to wireless services. 40  per cent, that is about the number of unhappy Customers with Bell’s Internet services too

Telecommunications analyst Eamon Hoey of Hoey Associates said the code is meaningless.“There’s nothing impressive about a code of conduct,” he said. “This is just a way of smoothing over the obvious. They haven’t served their customers very well. Now they’re coming in with a political solution to what should be a customer solution.”Hoey said the litany of complaints about cellphone service in Canada includes “astronomical” base fees, lengthy contracts that are expensive to get out of, poor coverage outside of cities, charges for services such as 911 that may not be available, add-ons such as system access fees and problems with roaming charges. http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/calgary/Code+conduct+phone+service+providers+nothing+impressive/1951350/story.html

I heard firsthand one teenager saying to another teenager “I cannot trust you, you lie to me all the time” and this next had made me reflect upon the reality that the average person lies 3 times in every ten minutes of conversation, and it also reminded me with my past years of undeniable dealing with Bell related to my internet download problems, they too had lied to me all the time, by not admitting the truth first that there was a problem, nor next honestly admitting the cause of the problem. It seems that spin doctoring, misleading, lying to others is a very major part of not just the lawyers, used car salesmen, but a regular part of the sales, advertising, corporate way of doing business with consumers these days Canada wide now as well. I too at least am known for telling the truth and that is worth much too. Bell is a known liar and that is not worth much.. The big corporates do prefer no outside regulating bodies, they want to to deal with each customer individually, divide and conquer approach, for they are afraid of massive class action suits, and there are many now against Bell even.

Look I have rightfully hundreds of time to the government, on the net, to the news media already have said that Bell is undeniably, unacceptable too, a bad big despotic control freak, monopolistic, immoral, deceptive in reality, practice, and in reality Bell itself does not honour the normal, decent laws, rules, regulations. Bell solely is a dictator that wants all others to play by it’s own rules. Bell does not know how to respect, keep, honour the terms of it’s contractual obligations to it’s own customers, immoral Bell rather likes to rewrite the contract continuously, one sided so that it is always better solely for Bell.

Well even if Bully abusive Bell falsely under the guise of profitability, competitiveness, making more profit or whatever, now still thinks it is a big, large, established firm, corporation that does not have to play by the established rules, rather it can make it’s own rules. I on behalf of all Canadian, Bell’s customers even now, I am rightfully asking nevertheless that the federal government, prime Minister Stephen Harper and his cabinet exemplary force Bell to respect the laws of decency, norms, the established regulations and to even regulate next rightfully Bell much more so that bad Bell definitely stops being guilty of it’s undeniable false misleading advertising practices, unfair and restrictive trade practices for the good of all Canadians now as well , not just for the good of Bell.

Imagine that Bell has been in Business for many years and was, is still too often, wrongfully guilty now clearly of misleading advertisements, fraudulent and unacceptable business practices, not living up to their contractual obligations, as I now have PERSONALLY WITNESSED, EXPERIENCED and undeniably detailed to even Bell and many others and many times too now . I had Paid for a high speed unlimited download service but that is not what I got next. I got low internet speed at a high price. With Bell you have to check your actual delivered speeds , “internet download and upload speed test” continually too cause Bell wrongfully seems always to change it to suit themselves..

Quebec to end automatic cell phone contract renewals, surprise fees and what about the Internet service providers, who are the same firms doing the same bad things there too to the customers, well?

“Quebec to end automatic cellphone contract renewals, surprise fees CBC.ca – The Quebec government has tabled legislation to better protect consumers in the province when they sign cellphone contracts. Justice Minister Kathleen Weil said laws aimed at protecting cellphone users were written in the early 1970s and don’t address current consumer habits. She said Bill 60, introduced Tuesday, would revise outdated rules. There can be “very onerous penalty fees” to pull out of a contract once a service provider automatically renews it – usually for a period lasting three years, Weil said. The bill would prohibit the renewal of cellphone contracts without a customer’s written approval, she said. It would also force merchants to disclose the total cost of the goods and services offered, a move Weil said should prevent customers from being caught off guard by hefty fees for services they don’t want, such as text messaging. In addition, companies won’t be able to suddenly increase fees during the life of the contract. “Consumers often don’t understand everything that they have agreed to when they’ve signed that contract,” the minister said. “The contracts are a little vague, and there are services that are added over time without their knowledge and without their consent.” “The first thing that [merchants] do is offer you a free cellphone, and it’s sort of the lure that gets you into that relationship,” Weil told reporters. Merchants will have to explain existing warranty protection Weil said the new law would make it illegal for merchants to sell extended warranties before telling customers what the manufacturer already offers for warranty protection. It would also put an end to expiry dates on prepaid cellphone gift cards. The minister said the bill, amending the province’s Consumer Protection Act, would correct an imbalance in an evolving industry. “In consumer protection you often have an imbalance that happens over time and in the whole field of telecommunications. There is not a jurisdiction in North America that hasn’t noticed this imbalance.” Michel Arnold, head of the non-profit consumer rights group Option consommateurs, said Quebec is the first jurisdiction in the country to introduce this kind of consumer protection. Weil said officials in the province receive nearly 700 formal complaints about cellphone contracts each year – about 10 per cent of all consumer complaints – as well as thousands of inquiries. Bill 60 is expected to be adopted before the end of the year.

and what about in the rest of Canada too? Bell Changing horses, making changes, additions to the contract in midstream is invalid, a breach, still not allowed, especially without the subsequent, and pre consent, approval of both parties now still too and is a breach of contract rather. That includes Bell capping of my bit torrent downloads too on my unlimited download account

Now in my decades of real life experiences in Canada the existing laws, regulating societies, governments clearly did not stop many Realtors, lawyers or even now Bell Sympatico from telling lies to the customers, others. http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/07/13/misapplications-of-the-laws-in-canada/

With Bell you have to check your actual delivered speeds , “internet download and upload speed test” cause Bell seems to change it to suit themselves.. (Presently I am with Acanac Inc. http://www.acanac.ca 1-866-281-3538, and do see their speed test too).

Now this mis-advertisement of the actual speeds attained also reflects the common problem we tend to have also in Canada with the false, misleading advertising, trade practices by Bell, Rogers, Videotron in regard to the speeds of their iphone and DSL, ADSL, cable internet services. These Communication, ISP firms amongst others are known to inflate, advertise substantially higher speeds than the consumer will actual get next get on the average, and the next related internet congestion cause web connectivity problems, and also reductions of the downloads speeds too.. Over 2M Canadians now have cable based phone. Most of those were former Bell Canada customers.

Bell itself found a an excuse for not performing a specific job assigned to them under the contract agreement but fooled few people in the process now too. One side breaching a contract is a common, often fact of life, very common, and it happens often in in the Computer business, with Internet Service Providers, in Real estate and even with new home contractors now as well sadly, and I have often witnessed it myself.. and pretentious self regulating boards, governments are mostly useless too, and it is basically too costly to get a lawyer, it only makes the lawyer’s richer, so now the best way to deal with any breach of contract is to expose the bad guys to all, to the news media and thus really put them out of business.. and I have done that even with major corporations successfully now too.. ”

Now what about having now the much need real consumer protections for the citizens of Canada here as well from the greedy, lying, no good corporations? The Liberals are just as bad as the Conservatives in not dealing in Canada with the lying, price gouging communication firms..

“Conservative government bows to the wishes of large corporations and ignore consumer protection.” ” Tony Clement, He is protecting the providers of these services, their monopoly and their profits. Never mind the Consumer whom the Office of Consumer Affairs was set up to help. ” ” government is pro-business. And no matter who we vote for, that will remain the same. How many of our government officials actually read our comments. One question, what does ‘lobbying’ actual entails?”

” Tony Clement ..no doubt the Minister’s seats at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and the Bell Centre in Montreal are assured.” ” Tony Clement is not for us. This fellow is definitely not a consumer advocate and to make it quite blunt – he is not for our welfare. We the people need a government which encourages completion and one which tries to hide the oligopolies which really don’t re-invest much into Canada, unlike the US. Perhaps a massive shakeup of our government infrastructure and the ministries is badly needed. We want a complete cleanup from top to bottom ” ” I think we need a complete public audit of exactly where all of our tax money is actually be spent!” http://www.thestar.com/sciencetech/article/688547#

FOR WE TEND TO KNOW THAT THEY THE CROOKS, ABUSERS TOO,  NOW ARE NOT ABOUT TO STOP THEIR WRONG DOINGS. RATHER THEY WILL NEXT EVEN ESCALATE, CONTINUE IN THEM. AND THAT IS ANOTHER VALID REASON  THEY DO NEED TO BE EXPOSED, PROSECUTED AND STOPPED. EVEN FOR THE GOOD OF US ALL.

Federal Consumer protection? Ha ha ha

Buyer beware: No laws dictate inspection frequency There are no laws in Canada dictating how often gas pumps must be checked for accuracy, and the government agency that does the inspections is doing fewer every year. http://www2.canada.com/ottawacitizen/features/hosedatthepumps/index.html

Canadian cellphone firms get failing grade  CBC.ca –  Canada’s cellphone companies have racked up close to 2500 complaints in 36 months, earning them all a failing grade from the Better Business Bureau. “An F? You’re being too kind. How about probation and if you’re grades don’t improve you are out.”  The wireless providers are trying to maintain a 40% profit margin on their expenditures. this is not acceptable for a service that is an essential communication. They have the worst networks and the highest rates in the world, THE SAME GOES FOR INTERNET SERVICE! “The terms can change at any time if you’re on a contract as well! Bell and Rogers have both raised prices, added fees, and modified service while I was on a long-term contract. “

The governments promise consumer protection, they have a department for it as well, they  take tax dollars for this service too, but it still is mostly a pretentious, unenforced  department that cops out with “buyers beware” and we need more such liars, abusers now too?

Many many people who use computers heavily now are upset, not the politicians though and why is that? Many people are upset that there email has slowed down, their downloads have also slowed down, but not most of the politicians now and why is that still too? They mostly still don’t use the computer, all they care about wrongfully is their money, their income it seems. They the politicians tell you they care about you only at election time and in reality really act like they do not give a dam about you the rest of the time. That is why this post is so popular  cause it tells the whole truth to all.

Ottawa killed cellphone cost calculator. A well-known challenge faced by millions of Canadians as they sort through a myriad of cellphone pricing plans in a marketplace still lacking in robust competition.  Industry Canada officials identified the same problem and worked for years to develop an online tool to address it. After spending tens of thousands of dollars creating and testing an online calculator designed to help consumers select their ideal wireless plan, Industry Minister Tony Clement killed the project weeks before it was scheduled to launch.”

“No surprise to Ontario readers……to hear that Tony Clement killed off a program meant to help consumers and that he kowtowed to big business (read: friends and contributors) to do it. His history as an MPP and now MP hardly suggest otherwise. Meanwhile, there is no ‘competition’ between wireless providers, only collusion, so any effort to make the labyrinth of Plans open and more understandable (especially in an industry that otherwise neither the government or CRTC say they wish to govern) would have seemed a noble effort by Industry Canada. ” ” Tony Clement is not for us… This fellow is definitely not a consumer advocate and to make it quite blunt – he is not for our welfare. We the people need a government which encourages completion and one which tries to hide the oligopolies which really don’t re-invest much into Canada, unlike the US. Perhaps a massive shakeup of our government infrastructure and the ministries is badly needed. We want a complete cleanup from top to bottom ”  ” I think we need a complete public audit of exactly where all of our tax money is actually be spent!”

” The duopoly of Bell-Solo-Telus and Rogers-Fido are hiding real costs behind marketing double-speak, and its the lack of competition that is to blame. You know the “Nutrition Facts” on every food item? We need one for cell phones that tells us the access fee, long distance rates, text charges, etc. ” “It’s not just cell phones. It’s cable, internet, phone and long distance plans, dishwashers and other appliances, cars, hydro, banks, investment opportunities. In short, it’s life in a capitalist society. It’s not so much that we have too much choice; it’s that we have too much ‘structured’ choice (Rogers calls them bundles) wherein you can never get what want, much less what you need:”

Conservative government bows to the wishes of large corporations and ignore consumer protection.” ” Tony Clement, He is protecting the providers of these services, their monopoly and their profits. Never mind the Consumer whom the Office of Consumer Affairs was set up to help. ” ”    government is pro-business. And no matter who we vote for, that will remain the same. How many of our government officials actually read our comments. One question, what does ‘lobbying’ actual entails?”

” Tony Clement ….no doubt the Minister’s seats at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and the Bell Centre in Montreal are assured.”

Quebec to end automatic cellphone contract renewals, surprise fees CBC.ca –  The Quebec government has tabled legislation to better protect consumers in the province when they sign cellphone contracts. Justice Minister Kathleen Weil said laws aimed at protecting cellphone users were written in the early 1970s and don’t address current consumer habits. She said Bill 60, introduced Tuesday, would revise outdated rules. There can be “very onerous penalty fees” to pull out of a contract once a service provider automatically renews it — usually for a period lasting three years, Weil said. Weil said officials in the province receive nearly 700 formal complaints about cellphone contracts each year — about 10 per cent of all consumer complaints — as well as thousands of inquiries. Bill 60 is expected to be adopted before the end of the year.

Restrictive Trade practises

US Supreme Court OKs Cellphone Unlocking Suit. The cell phone unlocking exemption covers cases where cell phone software locks are circumvented “for the sole purpose of lawfully connecting to a wireless telephone communication network.” This could force AT&T to unlock the coveted iphone. AT&T is Apple’s exclusive phone provider. “They may be more unwilling than otherwise because the iphone is such a big seller. Unlocking your iphone is perfectly legal under a 2006 exemption to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. AT&T, the bundled phone provider for the new iphone, threatened legal action over the weekend against a Belfast-based company that claims it has developed software to circumvent the locks that prevent the iphone from being used on networks other than AT&T’s. As the Cellphone users of America know they can  unlock their phones and they have nothing to lose but their roaming charges? The new copyright ruling that lets Americans unlock their phones without legal liability should be a significant benefit for cell addicts around the country. Basically, the exemption will make it possible for consumers to take cellphones with them when switching carriers. In the past, providers forced customers to turn in or throw out old phonees when switching to a new carrier.

Misleading Corporate advertising and even  Restrictive Trade practices such as even locking the phones  should have been banned before they were implemented. what any person does with his product, iphone included,  after he bought is basically no one’s business..
