Who is next?

The Cost of substance use in Canada tops $38 billion, with booze and tobacco presently on top.with a staggering toll of 67,515 deaths. The study by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction and the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research, was based on health, justice, lost productivity and other costs. We do need to think more carefully as we move toward legalizing recreational cannabis.Canadians need to be  aware of the ongoing and escalating human and economic costs.  More than one alcoholic drink a day could take years off your life. According also to  other researchers, roughly 20 per cent of all violent crime would not have occurred if the perpetrator was not under the influence of or seeking alcohol. Alcohol ‘directly causes’ seven forms of cancer. Governments across Canada, all put together, got roughly $10.5 billion in revenue and taxes from the sale of alcohol in 2013-2014, according to Statistics Canada, still much less than the $14.6 billion that the researchers estimate alcohol cost. Reports also do  says alcohol harm on the rise for Canadian women
.

The rate of women who died from causes linked directly to alcohol has increased by 26 per cent since 2001, compared with a roughly five per cent increase over the same period for men, according to Canadian Institute for Health Information. And more Canadian women are drinking to the point where they end up in hospital, or even die from it. These numbers only include conditions like chronic alcohol use disorder, withdrawal delirium, cirrhosis, acute pancreatitis and extreme intoxication – not conditions that alcohol is a risk factor for. And although they consume less, alcohol affects women negatively more. Each dose of alcohol is more damaging in terms of things like liver damage as well as simple intoxication.  More than 25,000 woman had alcohol-related hospitalizations in 2016-2017, nearly a three per cent increase from prior last year. The figures also show that in 2015 there were more than 3,000 deaths caused by alcohol in Canada, compared to 2,066 deaths caused by motor-vehicle accidents. Girls aged 10 to 19 have already closed the gap with boys. Women are drinking more heavily than in the past sadly.

.

Drinking alcohol has become a “normalized” part of life for the majority of Canadians, yet many don’t realize the potential health risks of downing wine, beer or spirits .  Mental health and addiction-related conditions were responsible for nearly 75 percent of those alcohol-related Canadian hospital stays. If all drinkers limited themselves to a single drink a day, we probably wouldn’t need as many cardiologists, liver specialists, mental health, medical professionals, and substance abuse counselors. Heavy drinking will take a toll on the body.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2018/02/14/the-truth-still-even-about-alcohol/

.

Alcohol consumption can lead to liver cirrhosis, dependence, withdrawal, acute pancreatitis, as well as chronic diseases like cancer  and Canada is a heavy-drinking country. Alcohol is the second-biggest risk factor for cancer. “It is one of the top-five risk factors for premature mortality, for life expectancy, for burden of disease and hospitalizations” Making alcohol less-advertised, less affordable and less available would help to cut down on the burden of disease,  but so far, “our political system doesn’t want to do that.” Neither the Liberals. NDP, or the Conservatives who love to tax it. Here is the government hypocrisy, it is the governments who control the sale of liquor, sell it directly to citizens, and they are full aware of the hazards of consuming alcohols, Yet the same governments are building more and more liquor stores, carrying out major marketing programs, adds to encourage buying booze.  It seems we have too many cheats, thieves, liars, alcoholics, adulterers for cops and for politicians still in Canada..for basically there is no such thing as a little bit pregnant.  No taxpayers money should ever  be used to buy alcoholics at any federal, provincial, municipal government functions. Really!   https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/drink-alcohol-and-die/

.

We all also tend to know how too many cops and others do often despise others, mock the skid row persons, native alcoholic, drunks and yet hypocritically they do the same thing, even their peers.. consuming a vast amount of alcohol and they cannot see what negative effect it has on their personal life. You know I get a kick out of those lying spin  doctors, from police officers, bad cops, union representatives, police lovers  who say that bad people, bad cops and their bad supervisors too they  can always be rehabilitated, retrained.. The hypocritical police tend not to believe that bad cons can be helped only bad cops… and how many millions of them now has this happened to them.. almost none.. a bad apple tends to get worse.. Being a cop is part of a “professional or police culture” dominated by machismo and camaraderie where police officers spend a lot of time socializing with each other,   and often it involves alcohol.  “Drinking among police officers is often quite extensive and excessive, probably more so than in other professions,”

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/11/11/no-rcmp-alcoholics-it-seems/

.

The Canadian taxpayer pays heavily for the health costs incurred from alcohol  abuse. Alcohol is a poison that is detrimental to one’s health and all persons who take bad drugs and alcohol suffer undeniably irreversible brain damage, death of brain cells, become more and more mentally  retarded . Even light and moderate drinking – up to one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men – could increase the risk of cancer, say researchers. Federal   Senators charge taxpayers for art, gifts, dining out and booze

The devil spreads many, many lies,  myths about beer, wine, drugs, being good and hangover cures.  Alcohol, or ethanol, is a sedative, hypnotic drug, and the intoxicating ingredient present in wine, beer, and spirits.  Depression is more common among substance abusers:   Although it is classified as a sedative, hypnotic drug, it has a stimulant effect in small amounts. Alcohol is known to be harmful to developing brains (from fetus to adolescence). Intoxication impairs judgment and can result in inappropriate and illegal behaviors such as sexual promiscuity, disorderly conduct, driving while intoxicated and acts of violence. Roughly 1 in 10 deaths among working-age adults results from excessive drinking. The most serious side effect of alcohol consumption is respiratory and central nervous system depression. When the amount of alcohol in the blood exceeds a certain level, or if other depressant-type medications are taken in combination, the respiratory system significantly slows down, resulting in a lack of oxygen to the brain. This can quickly progress to a comatose state and eventual death. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/alcohol-consumptiom-is-still-one-of-canadas-biggest-problem/

.

ALCOHOL IS  A  VICE AND NOT A NECESSITY.  These days you also so got to supervise daily even the politicians, even the civil and public servants  now as well, for it seems they will all run back quickly to their old tricks.. to their even bad habits of drunkenness, cheating, lying and stealing, and wrongfully next also they think they can get away with it. Clearly we as citizens have wrongfully elected too many thieves, liars, drunks, alcoholics into political offices… and they all now should still be fired, removed, recalled ASAP. Some persons rightfully maintain that prison,  job termination are still the main and best solution to this problem of alcoholics, drug abuses too. The real, root problem often is not the alcohol, or the drugs themselves, alone but rather one honestly dealing with themselves and their own real shortcomings  still too.The basic secret of all successful substance abuse termination programs are accepting personal responsibility, personal accountability,  the individual first personally has to admit he or a she  has done wrong, also admits he or she now does needs help,  admit that they is willing to take the help.. all three aspects are required still too. An appropriate real self examination on their own part is always needed firstly here  for it is also their  own real bad personal acts,  and related guilt that next contributes, contributed to his or  her own poor self image, fears, additional  problems..  especially more when things did not go the way he or she had planned beforehand .

No man should adduce in favour of drinking wine unless he can prove that the wine Jesus made in the” water-pots” of Cana was just like the wine which he proposes to drink. There are ample Greek literary texts which negate the narrow definition of oinos as denoting only fermented wine as it did not have the taste or the intoxicating effect of ordinary wine, God did not make fermented juice.. New wine would be grape juice (or a grapeade) mode from grape syrup while old wine would be 2 to 3 years old Suffice it to say, the “better” wine of course does not in any way imply or demand a more alcoholic, or even an alcoholic, wine at all, there is not the slightest evidence that the word so used would have conveyed any idea but that of the pure juice of the grape,

John the Baptist did not drink wine or any other form of alcohol because Scripture prophesied that he wouldn’t (Luke 1:15). Most people don’t know where to draw the line between temperance and excess. Such people better abstain totally until they know they can “be temperate in all things.”

John 210 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

And the word used twice  for “good” wine is a Greek word which refers to something or someone morally excellent or intrinsically good, rather It was Christ who in the Old Testament gave the warning to Israel, that “Wine is a mocker,” so why would he make fermented grape juice? by creating alcoholic wine, Jesus would have been promoting drunkenness, which the Bible clearly identifies as sinful.

Next you will say Jesus would have also distributed Playboy magazines.

If Jesus made fermented wine, then the fact that the guests had become”well drunk” would have meant that Jesus endorsed excessive drinking. Therefore, either Jesus endorsed excessive drinking of alcohol or the wine was unfermented grape juice! Obviously, then, the wine that Jesus made was unfermented grape juice.

Too many have assumed that the Hebrew and Greek words translated as “wine” must have the same meaning that themodern usage meaning of the English word “wine” does. In the English language, the word “wine” originally was used to denote the juice of grapes, whether in a fermented or unfermented state. Long ago, of course, that word has taken on the usage meaning of only grape juice in its fermented state. That’s why today we distinguish the two drinks by using the terms “wine” and “grape juice.”

Exodus 12:15 and 13:7 forbid the very presenceof “leaven” anywhere in the homes during Passover. The New Testament–in Matthew 16:12 and I Corinthians 5:7-8–provide the explanation by declaring that leaven is a symbol of evil. Leaven is a yeast, so the leavening process is parallel to the process of fermentation. In the light of these facts, plus Jesus’ statement in the disputed passages that the “fruit of the vine”represented His own saving blood, we must surely conclude that the communion cup did, and should always, contain unfermented (ie., uncorrupted) grape juice. The following Old Testament texts show God’s disapproval of wine, as “yayin:” Genesis 9:21; 19:32; Leviticus10:9-11; Deuteronomy 32:33; Psalm 60:3; Proverbs 4:17; 20:1; 23:20, 29-35;31:4-5; Isaiah 5:11-12; 28:7; Ezekiel 44:21; and Hosea 7:5. Proverbs 23:31-35–Again, the very nature of fermented wine is categorically condemned as a “serpent” and an “adder” that bites and stings.

The Bible condemns the use itself of all alcoholic beverages and highly recommends unfermented grape juice!  The only exception to this consistent rule in Scripture is Proverbs 31: 6-7, which commands that alcoholic beverages be given to those who are dying or cowards.

The assumption made by proponents of the moderate use of alcoholic beverages that the ancient peoples did not know how to preserve the juice of the grape in an unfermented state, and that therefore, virtually every instance of wine mentioned in the Bible must be to fermented wine. This assumption is totally false as the ancient historical records are abundantly clear that there were several major methods of preserving grape juice in its natural, unfermented state.

Scriptures clearly teach that the very nature of alcoholic beverages is that which brings spiritual apostasy and otherwise affects the mind (and body too) of whomever drinks it. In other words, it is not excessive drinking only that the Bible condemns, but the beverage itself and its consumption in any amount. Since most people and Christians do not know or study the Bible today they are easily deceived.

As it is abundantly clear that the Bible condemns the use of alcohol in any amounts, Persons that are simply rationalizing what they want to do regardless of the facts or the consequences to their spiritual, or physical, natures are led to do so by the demons.

In Canada, sexual assault is a violent criminal offence ranging from unwanted sexual touching to violent, non-consensual intercourse, commonly referred to as rape.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was accused of “groping” a young female reporter on assignment in August 2000. “Like father, like son” reads the editorial. https://t.co/7GiBEd6RIr

“Didn’t he learn through his vast experiences in public life, that groping a strange young woman isn’t in the handbook of proper etiquette, regardless of who she is, what her business is or where they are?”

Sexual assault and harassment are persistent forms of gender-based violence that are rooted in gender inequality. It is estimated that in one year alone there were more than 600,000 sexual assaults in Canada. Sexual assault is one of the most underreported crimes If you’ve been sexually assaulted, or sexually abused call the police, write to the news editors, make it public. Canada has criminal prosecution for sexual offences, abuses.

Canada’s Criminal Code has no specific “rape” provision. Instead, it defines assault and provides for a specific punishment for “sexual assault”. In defining “assault”, the Code includes physical contact and threats. The provision reads:

265. (1) A person commits an assault when
(a) without the consent of another person, he applies force intentionally to that other person, directly or indirectly;
(b) he attempts or threatens, by an act or a gesture, to apply force to another person, if he has, or causes that other person to believe on reasonable grounds that he has, present ability to effect his purpose; or
(c) while openly wearing or carrying a weapon or an imitation thereof, he accosts or impedes another person or begs.
(2) This section applies to all forms of assault, including sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, threats to a third party or causing bodily harm and aggravated sexual assault.
Interestingly, the definition ‘appears’ to include threats of sexual assault as a sexual assault itself. This suggests a person could be convicted of sexual assault without physically touching the victim if they make a threat of sexual assault

The Criminal Code also allows for increased penalties for sexual assault where the accused “wounds, maims, disfigures or endangers the life of the complainant”, see:

273. (1) Every one commits an aggravated sexual assault who, in committing a sexual assault, wounds, maims, disfigures or endangers the life of the complainant.
Aggravated sexual assault
(2) Every person who commits an aggravated sexual assault is guilty of an indictable offence and liable
(a) where a firearm is used in the commission of the offence, to imprisonment for life and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of four years; and
(b) in any other case, to imprisonment for life.

You can still sue or criminally prosecute a guilty offender even if the sexual assault occurred many years ago. Hold perpetrators accountable for their actions. If we don’t, we reinforce the notion that abuse and assault are acceptable. It allows abusers to defend and continue their actions.

Over a six-year period between 2009 and 2014, police reported 117,238 sexual assaults in Canada where sexual assault was the most serious violation in the incident. Almost all (98%) police-reported sexual assaults were classified as level 1 offences (assault without a weapon or evidence of bodily harm). According to the General Social Survey on Canadians’ Safety (Victimization), there were 22 incidents of sexual assault for every 1,000 Canadians aged 15 and older in 2014. This represented approximately 636,000 self-reported incidents of sexual assault. While anyone could be a victim of sexual assault, research has shown an elevated risk for women and young individuals.

Sexual assault offenders were most often men, acting alone and under the age of 35. Just over half of victims knew the person who sexually assaulted them. The rate of sexual assault was higher among Canadian especially aboriginals, woman, who were single, never married. Research has shown that individuals with disabilities—particularly women and those with mental disabilities—are at greater risk of sexual violence, which may be partially attributed to greater vulnerability, negative social attitudes and perceptions, and abuses of trust.

no

Substance, use drug use, binge drinking are associated with higher rate of sexual assault, especially among women. Evening activities—such as going to work, night class, meetings or volunteering, or going to bars, clubs or pubs—were all associated with higher rates of sexual assault Another life experience associated with higher rates of sexual assault was homelessness

The risk of sexual assault was impacted by marital status. Individuals who were single were about four times more likely to be sexually assaulted than those who were married or common-law. Age also had an impact: individuals aged 15 to 24 were over three times more likely to be sexually assaulted than those aged 35 and older.Aboriginal identity also significantly impacted the risk of sexual assault after controlling for other factors. Individuals who identified as Aboriginal were over two times more likely to be sexually assaulted than those who were non-Aboriginal.

A medical patient can become the victim of a sexual assault by a doctor. Sexual assault by doctors includes any inappropriate touching that goes beyond the required scope of the examination. It can also include the doctor performing unnecessary examinations, or intentionally not wearing gloves during an examination. Given that doctors routinely perform pap tests, pelvic exams, and other procedures involving intimate areas, patients are particularly vulnerable to sexual assault.

Students in Canada also are at risk of being sexually assaulted by a teacher or other school employee. sexual assaults against students are being reported more frequently in Canada than ever before. This is resulting in both an increase in criminal prosecutions of teachers and students suing for sexual assault.Taking action against the teacher and school is important and helps prevent others from being sexually abused. Such actions force schools and governments to take action to protect children and stop more sexual assaults from occurring.   If a student is sexually assaulted by their teacher, or by a school employee, the school board (government) may be found vicariously liable for the student’s sexual assault lawsuit. This effectively means that the government will have to pay a future settlement or judgment to the victim

Most  politicians, even Pastors, do these days still do  have ungodly values, even towards lies, stealing,   Jesus,  drugs, smoking , alcohol, Pornography,  Divorce, Abortions, Polygamy, Adultery,  Gays, Muslims, life, Hell, Afterlife and it has nothing to do with Jesus, the Bible, it is still their sole personal choice. Sad! Isn’t it.

RCMP MANIACS, ABUSERS,

Filed under: Civil servants,cost ineffective RCMP,Ministers,News and politics,Police,RCMP — thenonconformer @ 10:13 am

RCMP

The RCMP is to  be an exemplary force of decency, goodness but if you read the news the last many years they are nothing but that. It seems that they hired officers that are just as bad as the criminals they are  pursuing.

.

Dec 1, 2017  An RCMP officer in Manitoba  has been charged for refusing to give a breath sample after his vehicle was pulled over near Birds Hill Park. The news of the charge, which was made in September but was only made public by RCMP Friday, follows a string of arrests involving Winnipeg police officers.  The Manitoba RCMP officer. Corp. Scott Hanson, a 17-year member of the RCMP, is facing impaired-related charges.
.
In October, Const. Justin Holz, 34, was charged with impaired driving causing death in connection with the collision that killed Cody Severight, 23, in October. Earlier this week, more charges were added including dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over .08 per cent causing death.
.

A man Christian Duck Chief, 24,   from the Siksika First Nation, southeast of Calgary,   suffered broken facial bones during a violent RCMP arrest last year.   On April 1, 2016   officers entered his home, broke at least four bones in his head and face during an arrest, and then walked him naked through their detachment. An RCMP officer hit Duck Chief at least 20 times after he stopped struggling, even as he lay handcuffed on the floor. According to Stonechild, Duck Chief was yelling “I’m not resisting” over and over as an officer hit him and elbowed him in the face “more than 20 times.”  “After arresting him, they took him out of his home naked, put him in the back of a police cruiser naked, and then took him through the detachment nude in the presence of a female civilian personnel at the guard desk.  His lawyer,   maintained the use of force was excessive and that the officers were in Duck Chief’s home without a warrant, “violating his privacy and his dignity.”

.
The RCMP failed women. An unprecedented settlement that will pay up to $220,000 to women who were sexually harassed while working for the RCMP over the past 40 years   “This is the first workplace gender-based harassment class action settlement in Canada,”  Despite having formally apologized for nearly five decades of discrimination and sexual harassment carried out members of the RCMP against their female colleagues, officials from the RCMP refused to provide specific details on the number of settlements agreed to or the amount of tax dollars used to resolve these complaints.
.
November 23, 2017 RCMP facing additional sexual harassment, discrimination claims from roughly 1,100 women. A year after the RCMP announced a landmark settlement with victims of sexual harassment and discrimination, there’s been an astounding number of women who have come forward. As many as 1,100 women have begun the process of opening sexual harassment or discrimination claims against the RCMP. MP calls new numbers on RCMP sexual harassment claims ‘mind boggling’. “It’s really completely unacceptable and quite discouraging to see the magnitude of the situation. The fact that it could continue to grow and it’s a stark reminder that work needs to be done — both on the part of the government and the RCMP.”
.
Nov 27, 2017  An incident between two married members of the RCMP has lead to Nova Scotia’s police watchdog laying charges assault and uttering threats against the husband.
.

A retired RCMP inspector had a mistaken belief that a civilian employee consented to sexual activity in a washroom at the force’s British Columbia headquarters, the Crown says.  Michelle Booker said Wednesday that Tim Shields did not take any steps to see if the woman provided consent for him to allegedly kiss and grope her in 2009. Shields, 52, was charged with one count of sexual assault in May 2016 and has pleaded not guilty. Shields joined the RCMP in 1996 and was promoted to inspector in 2009. He was the Mounties’ media spokesman in B.C., and was suspended with pay in May 2015 in the middle of the code of conduct investigation. He left the force in December of that year.

War on drugs

Human rights: ‘only for good guys’
.
Help end addiction  war on drugs,  corruption and child abuse   crackdown on illegal drugs . The Philippines’s  President Rodrigo Duterte came to power on his promise to crack down on crime. Shabu is the Philippines slang term for the highly addictive crystal methamphetamine which is the most popular illegal drug in the country. Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte  says try drugs themselves to fully grasp the seriousness of the problem.
.
Duterte’s dirty drug war Philippines Police figures show 7,042 people have been killed during the campaign, 2,250 in anti-drugs operations. teams are coordinated to execute a list of targets: suspected drug users, dealers and criminals. “We are not that bad policemen or bad individuals. We are just a tool, we are just angels that God gave talent to, you know, to get these bad souls back to heaven and cleanse them.” pending cases that identified hardened criminals on drugs and hardened murderers, we are going to have to neutralise them  The team investigates the individuals to determine whether they are involved in drug dealing or other illegal activities, whether they are “God-fearing” or a “parasite”, and then acts accordingly.
.
The police have been given a licence from the president to crack down on drugs and crime.  Of the 3,600-plus deaths so far, 1,375 have been killed in above-board police operations, while about 2,233 more have been put down to vigilantes  Duterte,  So far he appears to have the public on his side – a July poll by Pulse Asia Research showed his approval rating at 91%. It is not also easy to disregard the success of the anti-illegal drug trade campaign
.
The   Philippines is showing initial success in eradicating the drug menace and in preventing the Philippines from becoming a Narco-state. President Duterte’s war against illegal drug trade has reduced criminality by 50% nationwide, and with its limited resources the government has placed the drug addicts in rehabilitation centers.
.
Japan PM offers Philippines drug war support  “As the Philippines pursues its campaign to destroy the illegal drug trade apparatus, we welcome the expression of interest of Japan to support measures to address the tremendous social cost of drug addiction,” Duterte has said he will not stop the crackdown until every last drug-related drug criminal is dead.
.
NOW the Philippines’ policy has helped restore law and order to the country; while Canada, the US has been too soft. In the U.S.,  drug users “don’t go to prison,” claiming that by failing to crack down on people with “marijuana cigarettes,” the government has allowed the illegal drug trade to flourish.
 .
Addiction is defined as a chronic, relapsing brain disease characterized by compulsive drug seeking and drug use, despite harmful consequences. It is considered a brain disease because drugs change the brain; they change its structure and how it works. These brain changes can be long lasting and can lead to many harmful, often self-destructive, behaviors. Such self-destructive behaviors, in the case of addiction to drugs, also lead to the destruction of the family, which spells danger and doom to any nation – the family being the basic unit of society. Strong, healthy families constitute a solid foundation, like a rock, assuring a nation’s vibrant future.

Booze, drugs and smokes: Canada is 23rd on Global Vice Index

Concerns about drugs prompt street security .More enforcement of drug laws.“We need zero tolerance for drug dealers, they are just preying on the most vulnerable of people,” . The police have issued a warning that a tainted batch of heroin or fentanyl may be making its way around the area.   The deaths were linked to fentanyl . Most people who overdose on fentanyl have been taking heroin or other opioids. The drug has also been found linked to cocaine and methamphetamine, but that is less common, he said.  Drug overdose deaths double in 2016 Some British Columbians support the idea to try to stem the growing number of deaths caused by overdoses of fentanyl, which is often mixed into streets drugs such as heroin and cocaine. But others oppose using public funds to buy drugs for those already suffering addictions.
.
Organized crime groups and gangs in Canada are more likely to produce and traffic drugs such as crystal methamphetamine and cocaine than they are cannabis,  organized crime groups were linked to 75 percent of all heroin-trafficking cases, 62 percent of all cocaine-trafficking cases, and 60 percent of all methamphetamine-trafficking cases; they were linked to 39 percent of all cannabis-trafficking cases, and to just 6 percent of all cannabis cultivation cases.  This contradicts common Royal Canadian Mounted Police wisdom and that the researchers’ definition of “organized crime” – three or more people who commit a serious crime to profit – is misleading.
.
There is also a  lot of marijuana around, but estimates of usage are unreliable given the legal environment surrounding marijuana use. The central question in this disturbing situation is what effect will marijuana legalization have on this serious drug problem?
.
Heroin abuse is tightly tied to prescription drug abuse. Almost half of people addicted to heroin are also addicted to painkillers. People are 40 times more likely to be addicted to heroin if they are addicted to prescription painkillers. Abuse of prescription painkillers is incredibly common . While it’s true that heroin abuse has skyrocketed in the last years, prescription drug abuse is more common. The number of overdose deaths from prescription pain medication is larger than those of heroin and cocaine combined.
.
Most addiction programs do not work.
.
Researchers with personal financial ties to pharmaceutical companies tend to publish studies casting those companies’ drugs in a positive light 76 per cent of the studies that cast the drugs in a positive light were led by investigators that had direct financial ties to the companies producing the drugs. By contrast, only 49 per cent of the negative studies had lead investigators with a monetary tie to the drug companies in question.

Increasing indulgence  has been a trend all year long with Canadians spending close to half a billion  dollars more on alcohol in the first nine months of 2012 than in 2011, and if this growth holds up through the holiday season, that would set the stage for  record retail sales of more than $19 billion in 2012. Whether it is family get-togethers,  holiday parties or just drinking to stay warm, liquor sales typically surge by  over 40 per cent of the monthly average in December, the study  suggests. By comparison, despite the hordes of people descending on malls  to purchase gifts for their loved ones, the retail sector only rises by 15-20  per cent in December.   Alcohol sales on pace to high record high: report  Canada becoming a nation of alcoholics

BC alcohol revenues provide the government with $1 billion annually. But health and enforcement costs related to alcohol were $57 million higher than revenue generated by alcohol sales.

Alcohol consumption and cost on government-owned aircraft. Between November 13 and September 7th, 231 bottles of wine and 535 cans of beer have been downed by passengers – including staff, security and members of the travelling press – while on board government-owned Airbus and Challenger aircraft, for a combined tab of $6,053.41.

.

In an  note signed by Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion sates  that the service of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for “official delegations on international flights” has been “standard practice since the 1970s.”

A Liberal  alcoholic politician is now just as bad as a New Conservative alcoholic politician firstly.. and lies just as much.. It seems we have too many cheats, thieves, liars, alcoholics, adulterers for cops and for politicians still in Canada.. for basically there is no such thing as a little bit pregnant, it seems you are basically honest or merely another crook…

.

alcohol-4

Kind of foolish encouraging people to become alcoholics at taxpayers expense, for while a few corporations will get richer in the process, the Canadian government will not, cause the costs due to job dismissals and related tax losses, Medicare cost increase, car accidents, policing, domestic violence, all associated with alcoholism is extremely costly.. No taxpayer’s money should ever  be used to buy alcohol  at any federal, provincial, municipal government functions nor encourage any alcoholism too. Really!

Infections- old problems in Hospitals

Canadian health care is high price yet low quality  .   According to a study released  by Vancouver’s Fraser Institute, despite heavy investment in health care, the quality of Canada’s care is “moderate to low” by most measures. Canada doesn’t get much bang for all those taxpayer bucks. Too many people  are too indifferent cause they falsely do think it is someone else job to deal with it.

HEALTHCARE (1)

The University of Regina is warning about an increase in gastrointestinal illnesses, often associated with food poisonings, dirty unwashed hands,  and very contagious next,  on campus. The university said Friday it is taking the matter seriously and working with the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region in light of the increase in cases. Extra cleaning by housekeeping and custodial staff is underway around campus to stop the illness from spreading. People who have experienced nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches are being asked to stay away from public places for 48 hours after their symptoms have cleared. For people working where food is served, they are asked to stay home for 72 hours after recovering from symptoms.

.

Gastritis means inflammation of mucus lining of the stomach.
.

Gastritis is a common medical problem. Up to 10% of people who come to a hospital emergency department with abdominal pain have gastritis and yet most hospitals still tend to respond very poorly to it. Why?

.

Gastritis is a very troublesome disease and can give rise to many life threatening problems, if it is not treated in time.  There are several causes of gastritis. The most common causes of gastritis are: Aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs, Potassium supplements, Iron tablets, which may explain why many elderly patients have it too. Infections with bacteria, viruses, or fungi can cause gastritis. Worldwide, the most common cause of gastritis is infection with Helicobacter pylori bacteria. Viral or fungal gastritis may develop in people who have had a prolonged illness or an impaired immune system. For some people, a drug allergy or food poisoning can cause gastritis.
.
Atrophic gastritis is a form of gastritis found particularly in the elderly, where stomach cells are destroyed, potentially leading to pernicious anemia. The main symptoms of gastritis are loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, and dizziness. There is pain and discomfort in the region of the stomach. Other symptoms are a coated tongue, foul breath, bad taste in the mouth, increased flow of saliva, scanty urination, a general feeling of uneasiness, and mental depression. In more chronic cases, the patient complaints of heartburn and a feeling of fullness in the abdomen, especially after meals. Generally, treatment for gastritis involves antacids and other medications aimed at reducing stomach acid, relieving symptoms, and promoting the healing of the stomach lining, as acid irritates the inflamed tissue.
 .
Gastroenteritis (also known as gastro, gastric flu, tummy bug   and stomach flu, (although unrelated to influenza) is inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract, involving both the stomach and the small intestine (see also gastritis and enteritis) and resulting in acute diarrhea or by severe vomiting.. Infectious gastroenteritis which can often be seasonally common even in Hospitals now too may be caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites. And it is important to distinguish between bacterial and viral infections in regard to the treatment as well.. Bacteria, and parasites  can be treated with antibiotics but Viruses do not respond to antibiotics .  Noroviruses are the leading cause of foodborne disease outbreaks worldwide, and may soon eclipse rotaviruses as the most common cause of severe pediatric gastroenteritis. Norovirus gastroenteritis can cause significant morbidity and mortality among children, the elderly, and the immunocompromised. Also rotavirus, norovirus, gastritis, gastroenteritis, C-DIFFICILE, ARE ALL VERY QUICKLY SPREAD BUT NOT SO EASILY CURED and what many media fail to report is that both doctors and nurses themselves are too often the biggest carriers.

hospital-deaths

A hospital emergency room might not be the best place for the sick  and elderly. The risk of acute infection – mostly respiratory and gastrointestinal viruses – following a trip to the emergency room is three times higher among the  elderly.. Long-term care patients who spent a few hours in an emergency facility were  more likely to get sick in two to seven days after returning to their nursing  homes.

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2012/01/24/this-has-been-going-on-wrongfully-for-ages-unchecked-still/

.

Now  a St Luc Hospital nurse too easily  quarantined my mother as having a contagious disease in the hospital as a merely hunch, prevention medicine, a bad nurse practicing medicine, being a doctor without a license. So when I personally  next asked the nurse what specific disease my mother  had that  she was caring, curing her for, was it a Novavirus? Next the nurse  had  replied that she did not know, and she did not read the charts,  and what was she treating my mother then for? Merely going through the pretentious motions of caring for the patient again and again?  So next  I had asked the visiting Gastritis doctor as to what proof he had that my mother was sick with a contagious disease and  what the disease was called and he next replied to me that was a good question, he needed to look into it for he did not know himself.. The doctor next lifted the quarantine.   What about getting real medical care.

.

It is also very unacceptable that the Canadian federal government is so readily to take credit for any of it’s programs but it falsely passes the buck when it has to be held accountable especially for medical inadequacies, or  the police inadequacies too.

.
AS USUAL I OFTEN ALSO DO ENCOUNTER THE CANADIAN OSTRICHES WHO SAY PUT YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND, DON’T WORRY EVERYTHING WILL TURN OUT FINE. DREAM ON.. ALL IT TAKES FOR EVIL PERSONS TO CONTINUE DOING EVIL IS FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE TO DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.
 .

Which now reminds  me when was the last time actually that a medical administrator,  doctor, nurse, hospital worker was charged with criminal abuse of a sick person too?

MOST DRINKERS ARE LIARS

Most ostrich alcoholic  drinkers rarely admit they are alcoholics , that they are heavy drinkers or that they will suffer any negatives side effects such as cancer due to their drinking. In other words  Most ostrich alcoholic  drinkers are liars.

ALCOHOL

Most Canadians drink alcohol but they really do not know health risks:  At least 3.1 million Canadians drank enough to be at risk for immediate injury and harm, with at least 4.4 million at risk for chronic health effects, such as liver cirrhosis and some cancers.  Alcohol is a known carcinogen, and the Canadian Cancer Society says there is no safe limit when it comes to cancer prevention.  Heavy drinking increases the risk for oral, pharyngeal and esophageal cancers by five times, for laryngeal cancer by 2 1/2 times, and colorectal and breast cancers by 50 per cent..

Alcohol affects and damages our cells, and  this can cause the cells in our bodies to develop into cancer..  There are seven types of cancer linked to alcohol – bowel, oesophageal (food pipe), larynx (voice box), mouth, pharynx (upper throat), breast (in women), and liver. There’s also mounting evidence that heavy drinking might be linked to pancreatic cancer.  .The risk of liver cirrhosis, brain damage and heart disease due to alcohol are all greater in women than men. Women are advised to drink less alcohol than men because they are much more vulnerable to alcohol’s harmful effects ,  if a woman has more than one drink a day, she increases her risk of car accidents and other traumatic injuries. Her risk of high blood pressure, stroke, suicide and breast cancer goes up. And drinking more than one drink a day also increases the risk that she will go on to abuse or become dependent on alcohol. And   alcohol remains at higher concentrations for longer periods of time in a woman’s body. This exposes her brain and other organs to more alcohol. So alcohol remains at higher concentrations for longer periods of time in a woman’s body. This exposes her brain and other organs to more alcohol. Binge drinking can cause alcohol poisoning, which can cause death.

The most common cancers caused by alcohol  are breast and bowel, although head and neck remain the higher risk and the biggest impact for men was bowel cancer, where one in 12 total cases (100) every year were caused by alcohol.

Two-thirds of deaths in were men and statisticians noted that alcohol-related death rates were highest among 55- to 64-year-olds.

DRUNKS

Alcohol’s negative health impacts are undeniable. So visit the website at http://www.cancer.ca,  or call the Canadian Cancer Society Community Office.

Every year in Canada there are approximately 3,000 babies born with fetal alcohol syndrome disorder and there are approximately 330,000 Canadians living with FASD today.

Impaired driving is the leading cause of criminal death in the country.

NO DRUGS 1

“Alcohol harms individuals, families and communities and it’s crucial that, alongside effective local interventions and treatment for those that need it, we look more widely at what affects drinking behaviour in this country, such as marketing and pricing. “ “Unless we start taking this seriously and acknowledge the health risks that too much alcohol can cause the situation will only get worse.”

RCMP stil a bad force.

0canada-rcmp-security-2010-e

A Saskatchewan RCMP officer Const. Aiden Pratchett has been found guilty by the court of accessing and possessing child pornography.

.

OTTAWA — Canda’s public safety minister  Ralph Goodale says he has expressed outrage to the country’s top Mountie over the latest allegations of sexual harassment within the police force.  “All RCMP members, trainees and employees should feel safe and respected among their colleagues and superiors. Canadians expect professional and exemplary conduct from their national police service.” Ralph Goodale  also said that  he told RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson  that  he expects a comprehensive, transparent investigation, strong discipline, support for victims and a plan to end what he calls “this toxic workplace behaviour.” after the recent  News reported allegations of unwanted sexual touching, bullying and rampant nudity in the workplace at the explosives training unit of the Canadian Police College in Ottawa.   The RCMP  has STILL been beset by numerous cases of sexual harassment and bullying of both women and men. The RCMP is to insure still a healthy workplace free from harassment and sexual violence.

.

The  RCMP pattern of poor treatment of  RCMP employees was justifiable  to rattle public confidence and tarnish the force’s reputation as “Harassment has no place in the RCMP.” “This is the national police force, this is an icon of the nation and it’s got to be remedied very quickly to Canadian satisfaction.  Canadians will not tolerate any half measures in the response here,” Ralph Goodale said. “It’s got to stop. It’s got to be properly disciplined,” Goodale .

.

It is time for a massive transformation in the way the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) conducts its internal business, says the Mounted Police Professional Association (MPPAC), following the latest harassment allegations reported. This latest revelation is only the most recent in what appears to be an unending litany of bungled decision-making by those charged with the responsibility of care for who promised to root out the “dark-hearted” behaviour.. One has only to ask two very important questions:

  1. How has this culture of mismanagement within the RCMP been allowed to persist?
  2. Why do we rarely, if ever, hear about such truly egregious behaviour in municipal or provincial police departments?

rcmp

“Three years ago, the watchdog over the RCMP said the force must take “swift and effective action” on complaints of workplace bullying and harassment to restore the shaken confidence of both members and the public. It called for a more independent process, strict timelines for responding to accusations and force-wide training on the issue.”  The RCMP has already carried out three reviews of inappropriate behaviour at the police college, but complainants have said the RCMP investigators did not want to hear fulsome accounts.

In 2012, after a long investigation, the RCMP public complaints commission found rampant bullying in the force. It unearthed 718 complaints filed by employees between 2005 and 2011, and found almost half were from men.

rcmp taser (2)

I too rightfuly  have 5 major complaints about the Police in Canada based on my decades of experiences:
1: THEY ARE OFTEN BULLIES,  LAZY, NO GOOD  PERSONS, BIG LIARS TO START OF WITH.
2: YOU CANNOT TRUST THEM ANYMORE THAN YOU CAN TRUST A WOLF AS A PET..
3: THEY ARE CERTAINLY INEFFICIENT, NOT COST EFFECTIVE AS WELL..

4: THEY SERVE THEIR POLITICAL MASTERS –  MAYORS, PREMIERS, PRIME MINISTERS  ESPECIALLY AND NOT THE CITIZENS,5: THEY MOSTLY SERVE THEMSELVES TOO..

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/12/19/the-still-too-often-useless-pretentious-police/

.

Under the police act any professional policeman can be fired from his job for any of his bad behavior, even for anything he or she does after working hours, if his personal acts specially bring ill repute to the police force in general, and that includes adultery, alcoholism, drunken driving, abusive behavior now too.. and for sure should include stealing, expense account abuses, lying to his superiors and others.. for the RCMP as well.  We also still do  need better police managers, better Justice Ministers Canada wide too

Hoodwinked

000 1t1

PM Justin Trudeau back tracks on pledge to balance the federal government’s books before the next election, eliminating Canada’s deficit by 2019. The  Liberal campaign promise, to put Ottawa’s books in balance by 2019, is no longer operative.

We are too embarressed to admit that we have been lied to, taken as suckers, hood winked by  the new  federal Liberalgovernment and their now clearly empty promises.. After the election day, all those  liberal promises began to quickly broken. The Liberal party of Canada won a majority in parliament after the longest election campaign in modern Canadian history. Prime Minister elect Justin Trudeau with his lies, false promises was able to come back from a third place in polls at the beginning of the race to a win that seemed unlikely given the 2011 elections that left the party decimated. The Liberal platform was built on false promises of  working fiscal stimulus 0canada-2

The economic recovery in Canada was to be the main empahsis, and they now admit they do not know how to deal worth it. You could have elected anyone  for that job..

Canadians have lost faith in the economy in the wake of the oil price dropping some more so the economy is facing “real challenges.”   The price of oil, a major Canadian export, has fallen more than 70 percent since mid-2014.    A large part of Canada’s US dollar income comes from the sale of energy-based goods to the rest of the world and to the USA in particular. and the US has loads of oil.

Over the last 30 years, the Canadian dollar had  fallen below US$0.70 only once, from 1998 to 2002.

Also the   the real concern and the real story is going to be what’s going on in the global economy as the world economy is weak. Japan is struggling, as are parts of Europe. The European, Chinese and the Russian  economies are slowing. But we knew all that before the Liberal election.

The Trudeau government’s promised $60-billion infrastructure program will not, even solve Canada’s growth problems as it only will help the  selected rich to get richer.   It also will not deal with Canada’s record-high household debt load   https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2016/01/19/the-crime-that-is-repeated-in-every-canadian-city/

canada

And in the near-term, a small risk of a deeper  recession  still can not even be ruled ou. The past  low borrowing costs have already nearly doubled house prices over the past decade eliciting warnings of a housing crash .

Canada’s economic uncertainty is real but it’s leaders are not… The Canadian economy is facing real multiple headwinds.

BIGGEST JOKE OF THE YEAR – Police Services

Calgary police shot more people in 2016 than any other Canadian city’s officers 2016 has been a notoriously bad year for CPS with nine current and former officers facing criminal charges—including three officers who were charged by ASIRT for lying in their reports about the arrest of 34-year-old Clayton Prince. There are over 2,000 officers and too many bad apples. City and police admit there is a ‘problem’ with the Calgary Police Service

.

A  retired Calgary police detective is calling for greater oversight of the Calgary Police Service also  suggested a separate body should hold police leadership to account. Calgary Police Service,   has dealt with reports of bullying and sexual harassment throughout the last year. Calgarians need to start asking some tough questions and demand transparency from Calgary police leadership and from independent police organizations like the Calgary Police Association and Calgary Police Commission.

.

Toronto looks to photo radar to cut cop costs , Toronto s MAYOR  John Tory asks Wynne to bring back photo-radar to catch speeders..  Toronto’s request comes as municipalities across the province are trying to rein in ballooning police budgets. HOW ABSURD, CUT POLICE COSTS, LAY OFF MORE USELESS COPS..

MONEY GRAB (2)

Answer the  question: Does photo radar save lives? Does it reduce collisions and increase safety? Or  does photo radar provide a steady stream of income for the municipalities who use it? Initially, photo radar was always going to be used for school and construction zones.  The one answer  that is without question.  It makes money – lots and lots of money and it’s simply too easy for municipalities to get drunk with easy money..

MONEY GRAB (1)

The oppressive police enforcement of revenue generating speeding tickets enforcement is still  basically economically beneficial   to a very small, isolated segment of society, the related cops, judges, lawyers, and it is false  job security approach for them, stealing the taxpayers money, a false hidden tax. Speeding is not the major cause of car accidents, related deaths but Drunk driving, impaired, drive, road rage and texting are. Photo Radars do not address this as well. “Seriously, with all the crime and corruption rampant  is this the best that our police can do?”

.

The Calgary  police vehicles photographed with a speed on green camera or red light camera are reviewed separately. The Police driver of the vehicle then fills out a Driver Response Form, where they must justify their actions unlike ordinary citizens. Lying justifications can include a pursuit of a suspect as well or  responding to emergency calls. “Everyone will be working off the same playbook,” cops only not citizens. “So, there will be consistent accountability as well as standards of Police discipline.” in theory not in practice all police officers are subject to the criminal code when appropriate.  They  mostly get a Paid vacation and no criminal charges – and the outcome is always the same. It sure is good to be a cop these days, they get a good pay, they get away with everything including speeding and drunk driving. Lucky ducks.

.

Citizens are still calling for change in   local speed traps. I think over the years they have just tacked on additional fines, or put up red light cameras, or doing one thing or another to try and generate revenue for their city.  Cities falsely are using traffic citations to fund city government.  Some cities it’s upwards of 8% to 10% of their revenue instead of .5 percent  is generated by fines and fees.    Many cities   have used fines and fees to fund a large portion of their budget, police budgets included . Too many Police Department  even have an illegal quota system that requires  officers to write three traffic tickets per day and make at least one arrest every two days. A  quota encourages officers to ticket people regardless of whether motorists’ behaviour is actually endangering the public or could be corrected with a warning. Traffic fines affect the poor and are ineffective against those they are to be really targeting, the rich. Most   cops saw their fellow residents less as citizens to protect than as “potential offenders and sources of revenue.”  Causing  “breakdown of trust” between people, police, governments and courts.  Missouri cities can no longer treat their citizens like ATMs,  as the state’s governor signed a bill capping how much money local governments can collect from traffic tickets and fines.” For people who have lived in these communities that fear they are going to be pulled over and harassed because that city needs money, that’s going to change,”
.
CALGARY an other  city gone mad with revenue generating traffic tickets. While Automobile traffic accidents are the number one cause of death for Americans, Canadians  ages 3 to 33 and while Automobile traffic accidents are the most common source of personal injury the reality is that   SPEEDING NOT THE MAIN CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS,  What is then the cause of major car accidents? Drunk driving, road rage, impaired driving, distracted while driving…. and what the revenue generating traffic division has not gone after all this mostly instead yet too? and why Not?
.
The insurance industry itself too  often sleeps with legislators, cops because it wants to make loads of money by finding out reasons not to pay out as well.. they support traffic tickets even though they do not reduce the car accidents significantly cause it gives more money to the insurance firms,  this is immoral gouging of consumers too often rather too.. now what about having some honest watchdogs and legislators rather. Go after the drunk drivers, raise the price of the booze firstly..
https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/10/speeding-is-not-the-major-cause-of-car-accidents-still/
.
GET THE POLICE TO BE BETTER EDUCATED AND HAVE THEM LEARN THE FACTS AS TO THE MAIN CAUSES OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, AND AS TO WHO THE MAJOR REAL CRIMMINALS NOW ARE AS WELL.  AND IT IS NOT MERELY THE ORDINARY  PERSONS WHO DRIVES A LITTLE BIT TOO FAST.. IT IS OK FOR COPS TO LIKE TO DRIVE FAST AND TO LOVE HOT CARS EHH

COPS

.
Police often do calls for tougher rules on others but not upon themselves. Such real hypocrites now still too. .   Do what I say over do what I do is part of the hypocrisy now existing too often too at all levels, federal, provincial, municipal, in cops as well and not just in many preacher’s lives now as well..

.

Calgary police officer Jeff Duggan has been charged with assault after an alleged on-duty fight at his ex-wife’s home. Duggan’s ex-wife reported the officer “verbally threatened to assault” her current boyfriend and “attempted to force his way into the home.” Police said the accused was in uniform at the time. Police have also charged Duggan with uttering threats and four counts of breach of probation.

.

“It’s worrying to learn the Calgary Police Service is a workplace marred by accusations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, bullying and intimidation. Society’s justice system depends on victims being confident they can report wrongdoing without repercussions, so it’s not acceptable that members of our police force believe they must remain silent. It is one thing to present an image of unity to the public, but it’s quite another to be afraid to call out colleagues for reprehensible behaviour.  The Calgary Police Service’s management and the Calgary Police Commission need to make reforming this toxic workplace environment their highest priority.”

.

An internal workplace review of the Calgary Police Service has revealed claims of sexual assault, sexual harassment, bullying and intimidation, and a workplace culture that’s left some officers too fearful to formally complain.  http://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/review-unearths-claims-of-sex-assault-bullying-and-intimidation-at-calgary-police-service

 .
Wrongful inactions, Cover ups, False denial of bad politicians, bad cops, bad persons, false pastors, false priests are much too common in Canada too.
.

David McQueen, 53, was suffering from depression, was killed  in an armed Calgary police standoff in northwest Calgary after police were called after shots were being fired indiscriminately from the home, including one that struck a Calgary Transit bus and nearly hit the driver.McQueen, who got around in a wheelchair after becoming paralyzed in a diving accident in the early 1990s, was deeply unhappy with the healthcare system, the police and the government, whom he blamed for not giving him the help he needed, which he detailed in his Facebook posts. So the police officers and 911 dispatchers will receive enhanced training on interacting with people in crisis, particularly those with mental illness

.

The Mental Health Police Advisory Committee was formed and is currently working on developing a “comprehensive, standardized police mental health training model for Alberta,” said provincial spokeswoman Lisa Shankaruk. That includes ensuring police officers’ mental health is a priority, developing a two-day training model where officers can receive training and resources from experts, and building relationships with partner agencies.  So the Police officers and 911 dispatchers will receive enhanced training on interacting with people in crisis, particularly those with mental illness .You are dumb if you think a two day course or a course will change any bad cop.. dismissal is rather needed.

CALGARY POLICE (4)

According to the police anyone who does not respect the Police is a mental case too.

.

CANMORE RCMP
.
It’s all very simple: obey the laws.  You broke the law, accept the consequences, and if that hypocritical, absurd, extreme statement was the reality, the truth, everyone would next be in jail, all of the politicians, civil and public servants, cops firstly..
.ALBERTA POLICE .
.
A Calgary police officer CPS constable Stephen Baker. who had a patrol rifle stolen from his car last year “will not be charged criminally in connection with the case,”  The officer went to a restaurant on Crowfoot Terrace N.W. and left the rifle in his personal vehicle inside a locked hard cover carrying case. Inside the case there were also two magazines containing 28 rounds each. He had been taking the rifle home  while off duty ,” The Calgary officer was in violation of the Police’s own rules…he had no business removing the gun from the station gets off scott free… The justice  finding reinforces the widely-held belief that police forces are FULL OF CORRUPTION and COVER UPS. but what else di did we expect? That’s it!….  The Police keep eroding the public confidence in police services with one law for the citizens , another for cops.  This case underscores the corruption of the Canadian legal system. Anyone else would have been criminally charged.

.

The Public remains generally skeptical about police investigating other police. Still an arm’s length investigation takes a step towards correcting the perception that there is a bias in favour of police in such investigations, all such investigations will have to be overseen by a civilian body, as recommended. We pay the police to handle all matters in a professional manner firstly.   And no more  . “No paid vacations”  for the cops awaiting trials..  All it takes for the bad guys to continue to do bad things is for the others wrongfully  to do nothing about it.

    https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2015/04/22/one-of-the-most-read-topics-here-is-the-subject-of-bad-police-officers-in-Canada/

.

Canada wide the hiring of and the continued employment of bad police officers with records bearing patterns of even alleged violent misconduct, brutality, falsely signifies a high level of tolerance for corruption and brutality in the forces. These patterns tell you that you have bad orchards, not just a bad apple. It’s difficult to change institutions, as they are set in their bad ways. Police are still out there doing the same bad things and so are their supervisors, politicans,  attorneys and judges. “How has anything changed?” All government officials  do fail to deal with the much needed police reforms.

By Graeme MacKay, The Hamilton Spectator – Saturday, December 14, 2013Hamilton police arrest video goes viralA citizen’s video of Hamilton police subduing a screaming female suspect, while using minimal force, has gone lightly viral, garnering hundreds of thousands of views since being posted Wednesday.”Honest Cops” was posted on You Tube and then linked to a popular reposting site. YouTube video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f23CPcTdY2M&feature=youtu.beIt quickly sparked thousands of comments and was closing in on 400,000 views by Thursday night. In the nearly 8-minute-long video, shot outside The Source store on Mohawk Road near Upper Gage, Hamilton constables Mark Morelli and Chantelle Wilson are shown first subduing and then arresting an out-of-control suspect in what police say was “a domestic related” incident. The arrest took place Sunday. The woman can be heard screaming and seen thrashing about on the sidewalk in front of the store, ignoring Morelli and Wilson’s commands to stop resisting and to put her hands behind her back. Seemingly hysterical, she claims “I can’t breathe” repeatedly, and complains that her chin is cut and she’s lost a tooth. For several minutes the officers struggle to control and cuff her and take her to the waiting patrol car. They treat her sternly, but with evident restraint, employing force only to contain her, not hurt her. Eventually Wilson and Morelli succeed in placing the 21-year-old Hamilton resident in the waiting cruiser.During the arrest and afterwards Morelli, aware they are being videotaped, attempts to answer the complaints of the videographer and other bystanders, explaining what they are doing and what the law permits them to do.”You can’t do that … she’s only a weak girl” the videographer admonishes the officers repeatedly as they struggle to cuff the woman.”I’ll explain it to you in a second,” Morelli says, holding up one hand in a “wait there” gesture.True to his word when the woman is finally securely in the rear seat of the cruiser, he catches his wind and proceeds to explain the law and the use of force choices they made during the arrest.Hamilton media relations officer Debbie McGreal-Dinning would offer no information on the arrest, citing the service’s policies against commenting on ‘domestic incidents.’ (Source: Hamilton Spectator)
