Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird

wolves in sheep clothing

I was reading the many New media comments about John Baird is unexpectedly  leaving federal politics they sounded mostly like obituaries where you do not say anything bad, negative about the dead. Baird might be a rat leaving a sinking ship?

Baird’s criticism of the stance of several African countries on same-sex rights and of the Russian Federation for its ban on “homosexual propaganda” and other moves to suppress LGBT rights have been condemned by the social conservative lobby group REAL Women of Canada which issued a statement accusing him of “abuse of office” claiming that “Mr. Baird’s actions are destructive to the conservative base in Canada and causing collateral damage to his party.”

Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird is unexpectedly  leaving federal politics. Sources close to him with direct knowledge of his plans say they expect Mr. Baird to resign his cabinet seat on Tuesday and soon step down as MP for his Ottawa West-Nepean riding. Mr. Baird, 45, is  one of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s   senior  political lieutenants  but undeniably still  Employment Minister Jason Kenney is arguably the cabinet minister with one of the biggest responsibilities on his plate right now.. Sources say the veteran politician wants to start a new career in the private sector. “The minister is looking to turn the page on 20 years of public service and like anyone in public office is looking for new opportunities,” a source close to the minister said.” Really? sounds like there is much more to it..  “After spending the past few years listening to Mr. Baird going out of his way to legitimize the banality and brutality of a 50-year-old Israeli occupation…  He should first apologize to his own citizenry, many of whom are God-loving Jews, Christians and Muslims who would never condone nor cheer for an Israeli government that stretches support to Israeli settlers who attack churches and mosques. Mr. Baird should apologize for his active encouragement of Israel’s brute and ugly occupation and its apartheid policies. He should apologize for failing to promote those things Canadians hold dear such as freedom, dignity and human rights and for replacing those ideals with an outspoken support of Israel’s clear and undisputed violations of international law. Saeb Erekat, Palestinian chief negotiator and a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization Executive Committee.  (Baird’s resignation from parliament took effect on March 16, 2015  On March 27, 2015, Barrick Gold Corp. announced Mr. Baird’s appointment to its international advisory board. No compensation details were disclosed in the filings  He has also been hired as an adviser   Bennett Jones, and accepted an appointment to the board of directors of Canadian Pacific Railway.[.)

France doesn’t agree with Canada’s strong support of Israel in its conflict with the Palestinians.  In  Baird’s recent visit to Ramallah  protesters pelted his motorcade with eggs and shoes. The Palestinian protesters also held signs reading: ”Baird, you are not welcome in Palestine” and ”Baird, Jerusalem is our capital.” ”This person backs up the Zionist movement,” . ”This person diminishes the rights of our people, takes part and backs up building of settlements. We tell him that he’s not welcome.” Protester Abdullah Abu-Rahmeh said

Canada once had respect of Israel and Palestine:

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s major sources of instability.
1- Israel currently has 262 Jewish-only settlements and ‘outposts’ built on confiscated Palestinian land. Palestinians do not have any settlements on Israeli land.
2- The Israeli unemployment rate is 5.8%, while the Palestinian unemployment in the West Bank is 22.5% and 41% in Gaza.
3- 133 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians and 2,060 Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis since September 29, 2000
4 -1,195 Israelis and at least 9,826 Palestinians have been killed since September 29, 2000.
5- 11,018 Israelis and 71,841 Palestinians have been injured since September 29, 2000.
6 – During Fiscal Year 2014, the U.S. is providing Israel with at least $8.5 million per day in military aid and $0 in military aid to the Palestinians.
7 – Israel has been targeted by at least 77 UN resolutions and the Palestinians have been targeted by 1
8 – 0 Israelis are being held prisoner by Palestinians, while 6,500 Palestinians are currently imprisoned by Israel.
9- 0 Israeli homes have been demolished by Palestinians and at least 28,000 Palestinian homes have been demolished by Israel since 1967

OTTAWA (Reuters) – The sudden resignation of Canada’s foreign minister John Baird has revealed strains inside the ruling Conservatives and complicates their bid to extend a decade in power in elections this October… insiders said Baird had become increasingly frustrated with officials in Harper’s office, both on major issues and also over what he saw as excessive micro-management. Baird, the sources said, unsuccessfully pushed for tougher measures against Moscow last year. He was also upset that Harper’s office would not allow him to use government jets more often when on official travel. Baird it a  seems  had concluded the low-tax tough-on-crime Conservatives did not have a good chance of winning another majority in the next election.”It’s better to leave now rather than being one of 35 ex-cabinet ministers suddenly seeking a job after the election,” said one of the people, who declined to be named citing the sensitivity of the matter. Baird’s loss is a political and strategic setback that comes at a critical time.

Face it
(Eccl 1:9 KJV)  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
(Eccl 1:14 KJV)  I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
(Eccl 3:16 KJV)  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
(Eccl 4:1 KJV)  So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.
(Eccl 5:13 KJV)  There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.
(Eccl 9:3 KJV)  This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.
(Eccl 10:5 KJV)  There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler:
Israel “is the only nation on earth that inhabits the same land, bears the same name, speaks the same language, that it did 3,000 years ago.” except now it does  not worship the same God for it rejected him, Jesus Christ and chose the coming Antichrist Yeshua instead

For his strong stands against countries with anti-gay laws, Baird earned the enmity of REAL Women of Canada, a socially conservative women’s group. In 2013, the group accused him of an “abuse of power” for imposing his own views on anti-gay legislation in Uganda, Kenya and Russia. “Mr. Baird’s actions are destructive to the conservative base in Canada and causing collateral damage to his party,” the group fumed in a statement.

Recently he was a false attack dog, for  prime minister Stephen Harper’s  pit-bull  in his  speaking his  nonsense against the Russian Takeover of  Crimea, the supposed Russia’s incursions into Ukraine, and was openly critical of the United Nations because it did not support  Israel.

John Baird  joined the Canadian government’s condemnation of the  “barbaric” attack on the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo magazine that left a dozen people dead. Canada stands united with France against acts of terrorism.  “We want to condemn in the strongest terms, this barbaric act. To see 12 people, including two or three law enforcement officials killed in downtown Paris is just horrific,” he said. “I immediately placed a call to my counterpart, to say that we stand in solidarity with the French people at this time.”

Baird has recently  been working to secure the release of an accused terrorist  Egyptian-Canadian Al-Jazeera journalist  Mohamed Fahmy from a Cairo, Egypt  prison. Fahmy, who was arrested in 2013 and has been in jail since was sentenced to at least seven years in prison on terrorism-related charges last year in a trial. He was  over their coverage of the violent crackdown on Islamist protests following the military overthrow of President Mohammed Morsi in 2013. Egyptian authorities accused him of providing a platform for Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood, now declared a terrorist organization.  The family of Mohamed Fahmy has confirmed that the Egyptian-Canadian journalist has given up his Egyptian citizenship in the hope that it will get him released from a Cairo prison. People with dual  citizens are basically non Canadians anyway. Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird has said  he is hopeful Fahmy will be released from jail soon? but gave no specific timing. He believed that Mr Fahmy, the news channel’s Cairo chief who recently gave up Egyptian citizenship, would be deported like his Australian colleague Peter Greste. But a retrial has thrown that into question. John Baird failed here too..

Do just read the same News stories in different news media and you will find out that the News Media, News  papers often lie, they do not report the news, facts  accurately and too often rather  they often spin their stories to meet a false agenda. No  matter what the topic was, is.. about the Government, issues, or what ever. And they really do often still falsely think we all are so stupid that we will not notice this. Take for example the recent  Mike Duffy, Pamela Wallin  Affairs, where the news media contradict each other  on who is really guilty… they all cannot be right.. Why the different takes too?  The news media falsely is too often  is here to promote itself firstly and  not here merely to tell the truth, it is also here to make money for their bosses, owners,  even to be a self perpetuation job guaranteed services.. and  it generally will thus  do anything to do this .. even lie, distort,  sensationalize.. that is what is too often wrong with them.. News Media mostly a Self service and not a public service

So you think that the Jews are nice people and they can do what they want,
but the Quebecers who oppose religious symbols are the bad people? Video of Jews attacking Christian Women for wearing a cross;

So the Conservative Party slams door in media’s face — again.. Sparring between the Prime Minister’s Office and the Parliamentary Press Gallery is hardly new. But the gloves came off on Wednesday when a dispute over access to a government caucus meeting turned into a Conservative fundraising pitch. Most of the media gallery refused to show up for Harper’s speech to caucus members on Wednesday when his office insisted on allowing only photographers and TV cameras to attend — no reporters. Before the day was out, the Conservatives were using the dispute to raise money — a fundraising letter accused the “Ottawa media elite” of sinking to a “new low” — in hopes of turning Canada’s love-hate relationship with its journalists to the party’s political benefit.

Next we know that the news is censored by the Canada governments, the honest information is not being fully provided, Ministers and civil servants, cops are being muzzled too.. censored..

OTTAWA – Canada’s information watchdog has been flooded with fresh complaints that the Harper government is too often citing security to withhold documents requested under the Access to Information Act.

It is an undeniable fact that  a new reporter does not kiss Canada’s  Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s ass he gets sacked.. removed by the RCMP even.. so much for free speech in Canada!

RCMP restrain Chinese reporter. Li, the newspaper’s bureau chief and a former Washington correspondent, says the communications staff initially gave him the indication he would be called upon, but then revoked it just before the prime minister’s availability. The Prime Minister’s Office limits the number of questions during public events and other journalists on the tour offered Li the opportunity to query Harper.  When staff refused to recognize him, Li tried to take the microphone, triggering a tussle involving one of the prime minister’s communication officers that ended with him being hauled to the back of the room by RCMP security staff. Li and another Chinese-language journalist, Xinhua news bureau chief Dacheng Zhang, have complained they were being unfairly kept away from tour events made accessible to Canadian journalists.  Li, an accredited member of the parliamentary press gallery, said he wanted to ask what was Canada’s stand on Chinese investment and foreign takeovers — an issue that has been up in the air since the Conservative government approved the purchase by the state-owned China National Offshore Oil Corporation of Nexen.Three RCMP officers were nearby and grabbed him.   The highly trained unit is deployed wherever the prime minister goes and travels with him in order to protect him, though it is unclear what risk, if any, they believed Li posed.  Li said the RCMP officers “said I couldn’t ask a question. I said why?” Li said he told the Mounties that Canadian journalists had agreed he could ask a question. “It’s not democratic.” It is Harper’s practice to limit the number of questions he takes from reporters —  As is now common practice at Harper news conferences, the number of questions is decided by the prime minister’s staff and announced to members of the media, who determine by consensus which issues need to be addressed and which reporters are best to pose them. Political reporters have long complained about the practice, but Harper’s office for years has refused to do things any other way.  Li Xue Jiang, Canadian bureau chief for the Chinese People’s Daily, is one of 10 reporters travelling with Harper on his tour of the North  denied chance to ask question as he  tried to ask Harper a question during a news conference at a mine in northern Quebec. “The Prime Minister’s Office shouldn’t deprive my right. It’s not democratic,” Li said   ”  Harper did not answer the question because he does not know the answer. He never has known what is going on. He should be accountable for Canadian business being sold overseas. It seems like another sneaky deal by the government. That seems like Harper’s mo. To me Harper is as dishonest as the crocks that are behind bars.”  Read more:

A veteran TV cameraman was next not  allowed to travel to Malaysia with the prime minister this week .Earlier today, Stephen Harper’s office appeared poised to scratch CTV journalist Dave Ellis from the scheduled already trip because he asked an impromptu question during a media event last week in New York. Ellis asked Harper about the charges laid against then-Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro, even though reporters and photographers had been told questions were not allowed . Harper leaves Thursday for a seven-day trip to Malaysia and Indonesia, and CTV had Ellis accredited to work on the assignment as a pool cameraman. But following Ellis’s New York assignment, CTV said it was told by the PMO that Ellis would not be allowed on Harper’s plane, even though he had earlier been approved for the trip. -The TV networks fought back, insisting that they — not the Prime Minister’s Office — should decide who to assign to cover Harper when he travels abroad. Shortly after news of the dispute became public, however, Jason MacDonald, a spokesman for the prime minister, said no accredited journalist would be prevented from boarding Harper’s plane. During an event last week in New York,

Access commissioner says government obstructs freedom-of-information law. Canada, once a global leader in freedom-of-information, now is regarded as a laggard, with a badly outdated and poorly administered law born in the pre-Internet era.

Suzanne Legault, Canada’s Information Commissioner, says federal officials are suppressing freedom of information in Canada. “I am seeing signs of a system in crisis, where departments are unable to fulfill even their most basic obligations under the act,” she told a group of bureaucrats yesterday in a private meeting.

Accountability, for most governments, involves sharing the information they want to share and restricting access to information they find uncomfortable or even threatening.  Accessibility and transparency are expensive in many ways; the actual system can cost taxpayers, and the results can cost politicians personally. That being said, the value of a government that is willing to both take credit for its successes and admit when it has made mistakes should not be underestimated. That sort of government, at least, believes its citizens deserve the fullest and broadest accounting possible — in other words, it treats citizens as equals, able to rationally examine a government’s performance, rather than simpletons who have to be led by the nose with only the best of good news.  It’s an occupational hazard of having a system where the winners at the polls end up believing that they actually own the government, not just hold it in trust for their citizens.

Prime Minister’s Office tipped on access to information requests in Senate spending scandal  OTTAWA — Federal bureaucrats notified Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s chief of staff in June that they were about to make public that a search of the Privy Council Office had not uncovered a single document related to the scandal involving Sen. Mike Duffy. A briefing note to Ray Novak, released to Postmedia News under the access to information law, shows that Harper’s right-hand man was informed on June 25 about the answer to be sent imminently to an access-to-information request. On the same day, PCO bureaucrats sent the Prime Minister’s Office the “red files” — the term used for flagged requests that could be politically sensitive or damaging to a department or minister. Three days later, a response was sent out to the requester — Liberal MP Ralph Goodale — that the PCO had not found any documents in its “control or custody” related to Duffy, Sen. Pamela Wallin’s expenses, or any emails between Duffy and Harper’s former chief of staff, Nigel Wright. That response was the first of many handed out over the summer as information requests, which any Canadian can file, came back with negative responses. At Public Works and Government Services Canada, according to documents released to Postmedia News, officials asked why there were no records regarding Duffy’s cheque to the Senate that repaid his improper housing expenses, which they called a “hot issue” requiring a response. “Everyone who looked at it is scratching their heads,” Goodale said. “There’s no paper trail here at all. That’s strange credulity that could have been the case at all.”

A former cop with an exemplary record is going public about what he calls corruption in Edmonton police ranks, after he tried internally to expose what he believes is organized brutality, but got no results.”I stood up for what’s right, and I just got run out of the police service,” said Derek Huff, 37.  “I still can’t even really believe it.” Huff is a 10-year-veteran who resigned in February, three years after he said he and his partner watched — stunned — as three plainclothes officers viciously beat a handcuffed man while he was down. “They basically had their knees on his back and were just punching and kicking him just as hard as they could …six fists just pummelling this guy … I could hear him screaming,” said Huff. He reported what he saw   but he said until recently the alleged assault was kept quiet.

Admittedly it is sad, but still the truth that Most people still are not in total touch with reality.. cause they are being lied to or cause they lie and start to believe their own lies.  Most people are also still Ostriches in denial, they have  glamorous versions of the reality, a distorted one, a spin, one they use to force  themselves not to deal with the reality  or to have to  think about the reality  negatively.. for not surprisingly since  the average person now  lies 3 times every 10 minutes.. and too  too often  even the news reporters, politicians, professionals  falsely object to the telling of the negative truths, realties  as it  would be bad for their business, careers /

The Bible also lists this sin of lying as one that can lead us to hell along with some other grievous ones. (Rev 21:7 KJV) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. (Rev 21:8 KJV) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Most  Jewish Americans say they have ‘no religion’ showing a trend towards secular Jewish identity in the U.S., the report finds. In the total U.S. adult population, people who describe themselves as Jewish when asked about their religion account for just 2 per cent.   religious and more likely to marry a person of a different faith than someone from within their community None-religious Jews are far more likely to marry outside of their Jewish culture – 79 per cent. A growing proportion of American Jews are unlikely to raise their children Jewish or connect with Jewish institutions. The proportion of Jews who say they have no religion and are Jewish only on the basis of ancestry, ethnicity or culture is growing rapidly, and two-thirds of them are not raising their children Jewish at all.   The emotional attachment to Israel has held steady over the last decade, with 69 percent of respondents saying they feel attached or very attached to Israel. While most of those surveyed by Pew said they felt a strong connection to Israel, and 23 percent reported having visited the Jewish state more than once, the respondents expressed significant reservations about the current Israeli government’s policies vis-a-vis the Palestinians.  Forty-four percent said West Bank settlement construction hurts Israel’s security interests, and only 17 percent said continued settlement construction is helpful to Israeli security. Thirty-eight percent of respondents said the Israeli government is making a sincere peace effort with the Palestinians. The survey was conducted among 3,475 U.S. Jews between February and June, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. Now look at how the Jewish spin doctors do even spin this story..

next Notice the Canadian media downplayed these stories and why?

A free speech  ad campaign on Vancouver’s transit system showing the territory of Palestine shrinking into the state of Israel will run in other Canadian cities this fall, has  the Canadian Jews falsely up in arms.. of course they can play their Racists, or Slander approach against it..  the images, which went up in Vancouver  show the steady occupation of Palestinian territory by Israel. “We wanted to draw attention to and shed light on the ongoing human rights violations … against Palestinians,” they are what  Anti-Israel  or  pro-Palestine ads depends on your bias??

A pair of suicide bombers blew themselves up outside a 130-year-old church in Pakistan after Sunday Mass, killing at least 81 people in the deadliest attack on Christians in the predominantly Muslim South Asian country.

The attack on the All Saints Church in the city of Peshawar, which also wounded over 140 people, occurred as worshippers were leaving after services to get a free meal of rice offered on the front lawn. A wing of the Pakistani Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for the bombing, Angry Christians   demanded government protection for the members of the Christian minority. Christians are a minority in Pakistan, where roughly 96 per cent of the country’s 180 million people is Muslim. The rest belong to other religions, including Christianity. Christians have often been attacked by Sunni Muslim militants, who view them as enemies of Islam because of their faith. Christians are also in a precarious position in Pakistan. While many Pakistanis condemned the Sunday bombings, Christians have often faced discrimination across the country. They often find it difficult to get access to education or better jobs and are known for having to contend with menial labour such as garbage collecting or street cleaning. .

Canadian Mortality rate – Death -Health – Heart disease – Cancer

It seems now also very funny to me that valid recent statistic on the number of people dying in Canada annually with cancer, heart attack, alcoholism, drug abuse, hospital acquired infections, etc are not available readily indicating that the governments don’t really care about the citizens good welfare.
Too many news reporters now STILL do fail to say that   half of those diagnosed with cancer now will eventually die of the disease or one of its complications, most journalists do still  like to spin the positive and prefer the  stories that ignore the hard reality of the various diseases. They are not doing anyone a service by their lies..
Sadly still too many lost sheep, distorters, positive spin doctors too now have even now tried to point out that  the Bible as being itself all good news, when in fact it also now  has many, many negative references as any actual Bible readers do easily  find out.
One of the negative facts in the Bible is that it states in the last days many of men’s hearts will fail, and sickness will plague the earth even. “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” (Luke 21:26 KJV)
Most of the spin doctors, false scribes are not too eager now to rock the politically correct boat of the supposedly established ”truths”.
“There’s been a tremendous growth in options available to physicians and over those last 10 years, they have  been successful in making sure the treatments that are beneficial are being used by more people,” But still not enough is being done here too.
Don’t get the false impression that all doctors now in Canada are motivated enough by money to help you with your  sickness and your pain. My medical services undeniably exponentially improved from my own doctor next when I had informed him I was keeping the health ministry abreast in writing next of the actual health services I was getting.
The health of Saskatchewan residents doesn’t measure up well against the rest of the country, says the most recent report from the Canadian Institute for Health Information. “Although, surprising some related information can be found here it is still rare.
Many many people in Canada, young and old  too do live daily in unresolved fears, and also do now  lack adequate sleep both issues that severely affects their personal health now too.
Not to downplay  the impact of specific health strategies like smoking bans and food labeling initiatives,  such polices likely do now play  a really big role in the Heart and cancer disease’s decline still now one’s unresolved negative personal stress, one’s fear of war and many other facts do affect one’ heart health clearly too.
“I think we all should reinforce all  patients that just as they should be taking the medications and undergoing the procedures that are evidence-based and recommended by their physician, that next they should not fall into this false sense of security,”   “Exercising, watching their diet to ensure diabetes doesn’t come on and (watching) their cholesterol, all of those are vitally important also as important as (medical or drug) treatments.”
“Too many major studies of the cause of death seem to have mainly a pharmaceutical approach agenda, solution still too. With their truckloads of money, made from the top selling synthetic chemical pharmaceutical next of course.  Of note, they have correctly excluded Coumadin/Warfarin (rat poison) from their apparent analysis, since there is no credible evidence that these chemical “drugs” extend human life. This death -health study nevertheless  is just an attempt still to deceive readers into believing satins extend life, which is totally false, but very profitable.  According to a UK study statin drugs may add a total of two days to a person’s life at a cost to the Healthcare System that runs in the billions. Their only effect may be anti inflammatory, which an Aspirin will do too. When inflammation in your system goes down so does your LDL level. Basically Cholesterol does not cause heart problems, never has, never will. Basically it seems statin drugs  are not only useless but dangerous. The steady stream of pharmaceutical recalls often definitely shows, means that their claim of science is pure deception.  Their basic Obscene profit motivation has nothing good to do with really helping human health. Too many of them it seems that they are still  fraudsters  downplaying falsely eating healthy foods,  or  blood pressure control and the two most likely major heart death factors; diet and exercise. “
“As per diabetes type 2  nobody should have that disease and it is, in most cases when not too advanced completely curable by cutting out all refined carbs and changing back to a healthy diet of veggies and meat and fat. Yes, animal fat. Did you know that lard is for the greater part mono unsaturated fat (oleic acid, same as olive oil). “
I too do have to say I too still get tired of the news and medical crap I do read, the distortions, especially when it comes to the leading causes of deaths in Canada.. cancer and heart attacks are the leading causes of death supposedly.. somehow the reasons often now given for one dying seem to exclude the basics.. such as many people who get a second free disease  while in a hospital, and besides as to how many people get sick or killed due  to alcohol, unresolved negative personal stress, eating cheap, bad foods. Not just deaths due to a lack of exercise or being overweight.
All the health studies seem to have a false hidden agenda, sponsored by someone and are not fully honest still it seem. I have for my liking now also met  too many bad doctors and nurses in my life in reality too  Even Doctors who had abused their research grants now too.
The numbers of new Cancer, Heart cases and deaths are continuing to rise in many parts of Canada even. When it comes to Cancer only about 25 percent  of the deaths now are unavoidable and the balance could have been likley prevented with better education, preventative measure, applicable now to heart deaths as well, all which clearly means our governments, Health Ministers they  are not still doing enough to look after the good welfare of all Canadians these days too. Help for sick, and the dying  is insufficient still. The statistics also suggest 40% of men and 45% of Canadian women will develop cancer during their lifetime. This year, an estimated 173,800 Canadians will be diagnosed with some form of cancer, up by 2,800 over 2009; 76,200 are predicted to die from the disease, an increase of 900 compared to last year. Now prostate cancer,  is the second largest cancer killer of men, just behind lung cancer. The five-year for survival rate for all cancers combined is only 59 per cent.  An estimated 173,800 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Canada in 2010, according to the latest projections. (This does not include 75,500 cases of non-melanoma skin cancer.)   The leading cancer killer, by far, remains lung cancer, which will take an estimated 20,600 lives this year. Next is colorectal cancer (9,100 deaths), then breast cancer (5,400) and prostate cancer (4,300).
“In Canada cancer is the country’s biggest killer, and one in nine women in Canada will get breast cancer.  Even Breast cancer sufferers desperately need more generous employment insurance and other benefits as they grapple with the steep economic costs of their illness, a new Canadian study concludes\nx   it’s not just the disease that can cause cause stress for women. The financial burden is also significant In an online survey of 446 cancer survivors, 44% reported using their own savings to cover medical expenses and lost income. More than one-quarter were forced into debt. As well, about one in six of those who had been employed full-time when diagnosed lost their jobs. About one-fifth were forced to go back to work before they felt ready due to financial pressure. “Many respondents were unaware of the high cost of the disease until they began to get treatment. Like many Canadians, they had assumed that public health care would cover most of their costs,” the study says. “The economic reality came as a shock.” Much of the financial burden can be attributed to the fact Employment Insurance covers only 15 weeks of the 38-week treatment. Two-thirds of respondents were off work for at least 16 weeks. Patients who had chemotherapy had the greatest drop in family income, took more time off work and were more likely to quit their jobs. While provincial governments pay for many drugs, the patient commonly pays for some others, special foods as well as medical supplies and prosthetics – such as wigs or special bras – out-of-pocket. Travel costs to obtain treatment – a particular problem for those outside cities – aren’t covered. Patients who exercise every day and eat a healthy diet while getting treated for breast cancer and prostate cancer can improve their entire health. The Breast Cancer Network’s survey estimated the average household income dropped $12,000 following diagnosis of breast cancer. In fact, the study concluded breast cancer survivors “often found the financial burden to be as stressful as the disease and that the financial impact was sometimes longer lasting than the disease itself.” The study focused solely on breast cancer, the most common cancer in women; one in nine women will get it in their lifetime. Each year, among both men and women, about 22,900 new  breast cancer  cases are diagnosed. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, but men are not immune, either. In 2009, 22700 Canadian women and 180 Canadian men were diagnosed with this form of the disease, with 5400 women and 50 men dying of it. But the network stressed that financial problems and difficulties re-entering the labour force are significant issues among sufferers of all cancers. “We would argue that many of the experiences described in this report are likely shared by the more than 700,000 Canadians living with all types of cancer.
Prenatal exposure to BPA, DES may boost breast cancer risk Fetuses exposed to chemicals like Bisphenol-A (BPA) and Diethylstilbestrol (DES) in the womb may have a higher risk of developing breast cancer in their adulthood, BPA is a weak estrogen and DES is a strong estrogen, yet our study shows both have a profound effect on gene expression in the mammary gland — breast — throughout life,” A review article published online May 25 in Nature Reviews Endocrinology finds that endocrine-disrupting chemicals like bisphenol A found in plastic pose cancer risk in adults. Bisphenol A is commonly present in household products including plastic bottles, reusable food containers, and food cans. “All estrogens, even ‘weak’ ones can alter the development of the breast and ultimately place adult women who were exposed to them prenatally at risk of breast cancer.” DES was also used as a growth hormone in the beef and poultry industry in the 60s. It was phased out in the late 1970s after the chemical was found to cause cancer.

Final medical  care throughout the nation , the attention paid to it, and the help provided for dying at home is not up to the mark and is unacceptably deficient Canada wide too.  “A variety of benefits and services are available when a new life enters the world. We should be providing just as much support when someone is dying,”
Despite years of many persons complaints now, end-of-life care remains an inadequate, unacceptable  patchwork of help too often and where other related services do exist, the patients too often now are referred to palliative care much too late. . When I do read many news media accounts of the events surrounding all Canadians it seems like the news written applies to another planet, and not the one we are living on herein Canada. The news spins and desertions are grossly immoral as well. For example take the recent media spins on Cancer and on palliative care of dying patients as well  One person’s death that could be prevented and one less person  dying in pain and suffering is never to be considered as unimportant even in the overall picture. Even one person needlessly suffering an agonizing death in pains because they were not given adequate medication, pain killer is also now totally unacceptable.  There’s some real big, major gaps and inconsistencies, governmental and medical cruelty even on how one’s end-of-life care is delivered. Not only is the available   number of hospice beds and quantity of home care   insufficient, even  in the hospitals, but the problem will only get worse as more seniors, almost double the number, next  will retire within the next decade .
And even the professional counseling ,depression services,  end-of-life discussions are significantly missing among the medical  staff and the  families next as well. Social Services in Canada tends to be of any at at a crude, bare simple basic, pre historic, dinosaur age level.  Most families often don’t use them because they don’t know what supports are available or how to access them. Doctors and the nurses they too often tell you tell you nothing of what you  do need to know still. Too many persons will die first while waiting for either a quality end-of-life care or an adequate place in a medically equipped convalescent old age home.  Too many sick persons die waiting for either a quality end-of-life care or an adequate place in a medically equipped convalescent old age home. Imagine this cruelty, absurdity now as well an overnight palliative care was being stopped because it  exceeded the two-week limit in place.  Now it’s a disgrace that anyone ox subjected to  this during their final days. Many many persons now would in Canada still benefit from a decent end-of-life care but often still don’t get it, in our rather still uncivilized society. Inadequate Services Offered for  “End-of-life”, No Improvement Even  Years  After.  The  special Senate committee had reported uneven access to palliative care in 1995 and a 2005 follow up found little progress now in Canada showing us all how little our politicians do really care about others death, pain, suffering in reality. Mostly lying Health Ministers  say they now are  doing everything they can to help ensure excellence in cancer care for all.. No one should be foolish enough to believe this at any time too. In reality the way the end-of-life care, seniors cares are  now being  delivered clearly shows that there is a need of real federal and provincial management and adequate regulations.
“It is absolutely OFFENSIVE that the government is still feeding off cigarette tax dollars while making marijuana illegal.  My mother is dying slowly from cancer because of cigarette smoking. All my childhood friends have someone in the family who has died in a similar horrible fashion. When will the Canadian government do what is morally right and make cigarettes illegal? The government makes roughly 6-7 billion dollars in taxing tobacco. Not to mention sales and service taxes.   That money supposedly  goes towards our healthcare as well.”
“What is the correlation between the incidence of high blood pressure and high personal indebtedness in this country?” ”  Did the Canadian causes of death study  take into account how many people had moved to Alberta but died of heart attacks once they saw the cost of LIVING housing and health care in reality once they arrived there?”
Notice the spin doctors do not deal truthfully or specially with how many people who have been diagnosed with serious heart problems got treated within 6 months to 2 years at the most and why was that? Reality heart treatment is done at major hospitals only who do not get paid on a per patient basis, but only get an annual budget to work with, a budget which varies with each city,  province now too, so they firstly do not treat all the serious heart patients.

Heart attack rates vary by province, researchers find  Globe and Mail -When it comes to heart attacks, where you live and how much you earn seem to matter more than how you live.

Those with low incomes have high heart attack risk Toronto Sun The report, Health indicators 2010, says 67,000 Canadians were hospitalized for a heart attack in 2008-09 Breaking down the population into five income levels, the study found that Canadians living in the least affluent neighborhoods were 37% more likely to suffer a heart attack than those in more affluent areas. Heart attack patients from richer neighborhoods were 7% more likely to get a revascularization procedure, such as angioplasty or bypass surgery, than those from lower-income areas. “While a person’s socio-economic status affects the risk of having a heart attack, it appears that where you live in Canada makes a bigger difference,” Eugene Wen, manager of health indicators at CIHI, said. “Regions with higher heart attack rates also tend to have higher rates of hypertension, diabetes, smoking and other cardiac risk factors.”

In B.C., the heart-attack rate was 169 for every 100,000 people, said a report, which used data from 2008 and 2009. In Newfoundland and Labrador, it was 347 for every 100,000 people. Heart attack rates highest in Newfoundland and Labrador: The same province  where the premier himself did not do his best to improve health care for all. “,it’s surprising and concerning that depending on where you live in Canada, your risk for heart attack is different,”  “If you can’t afford to buy healthy and nutritious foods, your risk factors for heart attack are more common,”   “If you don’t have the time or the funds to make a healthy (food) choice, that’s a problem. .  This report suggests that it does translate into an increased risk for heart attack.” The federal government and the provinces now needs to legislate policies aimed at encouraging healthy eating, adequate medical care so that they reach all Canadians.

“Is it possible that the majority of heart deaths in Canada are caused by one virus or another, Virus spread from infected animals, gum diseases, etc., ? Why is here  too no mention of this by our news media or medical community? Does the medical community basically still not want to tell you how these viruses are caused, spread? I think, they know, a lot more then they are telling, or the media is telling. Although, surprising some related information can be found here it is still rare. “
Let’s first be fair to ourselves and others and note that no one thing specifically causes all the cancers, diabetic sick persons, heart problems in the world, rather it is a combination of several different factors starting with our personal ignorance, and the false neglect of the our Bodies.
To Help with many person’s medical symptoms of their diseases often we may still  have to deal with the root causes of their sicknesses too.. including their stress, anxieties, their wrong doings too. Hypertension is another  main, leading personal cause of heart attacks, strokes and other major medical problems. For most North Americans even if you don’t have high blood pressure now, you need to make a serious lifestyle, food  adjustments now to avoid personal health problems, especially Cancer and Heart diseases next in one’s future. A person is considered hypertensive with a blood-pressure reading of 140/90 millimetres of mercury (mmHg) or higher. Healthy adults should have a blood pressure in the range of 120/80 mmHg, although that target varies with age and other health conditions. There are many DIFFERENT factors that contribute to high blood pressure, including first the type of one’s food consumption, too much read meat, not enough fruit and vegetables,  being overweight, a lack of physical activity, excessive sodium consumption and aging. Hypertension, while it has few obvious symptoms, is a leading risk factor for heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease.
While clearly the medical advances against even the more serious sickness have taken gigantic leaps now these days, I sadly too often these  days have to tell the truth to the sick persons that next the patients themselves are now more often to blame for their sudden deaths,  their illness degenerating mostly too even by reaping what they sowed, by their own neglect of basic laws reaping relating to the to human anatomy too, a) by their own failure to insure  healthy eating, b) their own  failure to get  proper sleep, c) and their own failure to handle, resolve unbeneficial stress adequately.
Many people do not understand also what a  depression or a mid life crisis is.. it is that void,, the emptiness that you do have when you lost somethinng that once was important to you.. solution to depressions are good music, good sleep, good food, having good friends and not rather bad ones.
Majority of patients still lie to themselves when they do now falsely think they will not reap what they have personally sowed and thus they are committing personal suicide as a result.
Lack of sleep is still a killer.. so is not eating properly.. so is unresolved stress…
God is a God of love and he really does not want us to suffer needlessly so he is willing to help us if we meet his conditions as defined also  in the Bible. (1 Cor 10:21 KJV)  Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.
Absurd TD health study calls for health  new health tax. To focus medical practitioners on the most effective treatments, it says the province should set up a “commission on quality and value for health care.” It would assess the best and most cost-effective medical treatments for specific conditions, and evaluate new drugs and treatments, and let medical practitioners know the results says TD’s chief economist, Don Drummond. The TD report also says doctors should be paid differently, getting a blend of salary and payment for the volume of patients and treatments.  Public health care is unsustainable if spending continues unchecked, Left unchecked, health-care spending is set to rise to 80 per cent of total program spending.  Here is the important main root, real problem the same report does not face firstly. In reality the  Doctors are God. You cannot touch them or deal with them. The medical society itself forbids the criticism of any doctor, by any doctor or anyone else for that matter. for only lenthly self regulation can review any criticism of a bad doctors performances. The same fact generally applies to the unionized  nurse and hospital workers and so no work improvement, cost effectiveness can be attained,   thus having any possible effective cost or quality supervisors is also impossible. Our medical services always tend to be unsupervised, uncontrolled  with about 50 percent of the existing workers being pretentious, incompetent, inadequate, and so of course putting more money into a pail full of holes like this is an ever increasing  waste of money.  Solution? a cheap one too, Do merely  start the exposure exemplary firing all bad doctors, bad nurses, bad civil and bad public servants as well.   Start firing the bad hospital managers.
The largest contract in Montreal, in the city’s history was fraught by a lack of supervision of contracts at city hall, and ethically questionable relations between former city officials and companies seeking deals. After Montreal’s auditor-general confirmed the paper’s findings, Mayor GÈrald Tremblay cancelled the deal and two top city officials were fired
Interesting points, questions, concerns now too.

    1. More on police in schools

There’s a well known Canadian tradition that looks hard at American social policy, waits until the Americans realize it doesn’t work or shows perverse results, then puts that policy in place here in Canada. Stephen Harper’s Conservative government is in the thick of this practice as it brings in new laws and policies to put more people in jail longer, just as California realizes the folly of ever having done this in the first place.

The Toronto police force, with the active support of Toronto school boards, is now following the same tradition by putting police in most Toronto high schools.

Police have been in New York schools for more than a decade, and there are problems. An editorial (titled `Over-Punishment in Schools) in the New York Times on Sunday November 29, 2009, states Juvenile justice advocates across the country are rightly worried about policies under which children are sometimes arrested and criminalized for behavior that was once dealt with by principals or guidance counselors working with a student’s parents. It notes that children who are arrested or suspended tend to be disproportionately black and Hispanic and often have emotional problems or learning disabilities, and says School officials in several cities have identified over-policing as a problem in itself.

One can expect these problems to become more evident in Toronto. The incident at Northern Secondary School in October fits the profile too well: a black student apparently insulted a police officer who is seen on the video arresting the student, who was charged with assaulting policing and resisting arrest, then suspended. If the police had not been present in the school and the student insulted a teacher, he would have received a detention. Put police in schools in Toronto, and youth actions will be criminalized just as they have been in American schools. And those criminalized the most will certainly be from minority groups.

A study by the Annenberg Institute for Social Reform and the New York Civil Liberties Union titled `Safety with Dignity: Alternatives to the Over-Policing of Schools recommends sweeping changes. It says The number of police personnel patrolling New York City’s schools should be reduced significantly. This should generate financial savings that can be applied to expand guidance, social work, and other support services to respond to disciplinary issues in ways that strengthen the educational environment and avoid excessive reliance on law enforcement tactics and the juvenile and criminal justice systems. It recommends that disciplinary responsibilities be returned to educators, and that alternatives to harsh penalties be instituted. The study can be found at .

But here in Toronto, we are just settling into the program of police acting as School Resource Officers in high schools. A self-administered student survey concluded that most everyone is happy with the situation and relations between students and officers might even be improving. The report does concluded, strangely, that overall student perception of safety in their school and in the neighbourhood surrounding the school did not improve, a conclusion which throws the whole experiment into confusion. The press release accompanying the survey evaluation states airily The main goal of the School Resource Officer Program has always been to build relationships, provide mentoring, leadership, and develop extracurricular opportunities for the students. That is revisionist history: the goal when police were placed in schools in 2008 was never spelled out, but it was done in response to a fear of more violence in schools, and most people assumed that that’s why police were going in.

Related to this is the recently published 2010-2011 list of police priorities, goals and strategies, including the development of a “prevention and education initiative . . . relating to child and youth victimization in the areas of bullying and cyber bullying. Surely this instruction on bullying is more appropriately (and less expensively) accomplished by ordinary teachers or by social workers. This is the problem with putting the police in schools: their policing skills are rarely needed so they look around for something, anything, that might justify their presence. Tax dollars would be better spent on additional teachers and social workers whose skills fit squarely into the curriculum and the classroom.

Most worrisome is the statement School Resource Officers felt more part of the school management team at the end of the school year than at the start. In short, the police are playing a solid role in managing schools. What does this have to do with the new goal, which is to improve relations with youth?

Sounds like Toronto schools with police are headed down the same road as the American schools with police. Our children deserve better from school trustees, from teachers and principals, and from the police.

TPAC has wondered why more parents are not speaking up. We concluded that most middleclass parents think their children will never be on the receiving end of police action so they think they don’t need to speak up. Parents of minority children and those living in poverty don’t speak up because they fear they will be penalized if they do, or because they don’t have the resources to do so. It is no different than the fact that there is no constituency to speak up against the extraordinary number of people who are in jail before they have been found guilty of anything. Inequality in society hits those at the bottom very harshly.

    2. 2010 police operating budget

On November 23 the Toronto Police Service Board released the 2010 operating budget that will be presented to the Board for approval on December 17. It asks that net spending increase from $842 million in 2009 to $899 million next year.

The Board asked for public comments by November 30. TPAC said that allowing just a week for comments was ridiculously short, making it almost impossible for individuals and organizations to provide meaningful comments. We submitted a draft letter by that date. Our final letter includes the following comments:

`We understand the city budget chief, Shelley Carroll, has asked the police department, as well as other city departments and agencies to cut their 2010 budget request by 5 per cent from last year. That would mean a 2010 budget of $812 million, or almost $90 million less than the 2010 operating budget request as it now stands, at $899.1 million.

`It is fair to say that kind of cut will not be achieved. But we believe a large cut must be made to the request so that the city has the funds needed to ensure there are programs available to reduce crime.

`Board members are surely aware that the best thinking currently available is that the best way to reduce crime among youth and youth violence and safety is claimed in the 2010 police operating budget overview (page 4) as the leading priority for the police – is to spend more money on recreation and support programs for youth.

`The 2008 report by Roy McMurtry and Alvin Curling, `Roots of Youth Violence, makes it clear that spending more money on policing is not part of the solution – in fact the report shows that too much provincial money directed towards justice services to youth in trouble is eaten by police and is not available for the social programs that are needed.

`That report asks for a number of changes including: repairing the social context with programs which are created for youth; creating a youth policy framework to replace the patchwork of programs now available; creating strong communities out of weak suburban subdivisions and housing projects; and finding ways that government can actually exercise its oversight functions. These programs cost money, and if a great deal of that money is spent on police services, then that money is not available for those programs. That is the current problem in Toronto, as the city is not able to reasonably fund programs for youth. Constraining the increase in the police budget will permit funds to be available for reducing youth crime and violence.

`It is our opinion that the Board must make a clear commitment to reducing youth crime and violence and that will only happen by ensuring that the police budget does not gobble up the $899.1 million proposed in the 2010 budget request.

`We suggest that as a target the Board agree to request no more net funds than in 2009, that is, that the Operating Budget request for 2010 be no more than $845 million, and further that the Board ask the city to devote funds to youth programs in keeping with the McMurtry/Curling report.

`We suggest three ways of controlling the budget increase.

`1. Do not increase the staff complement from the 2009 request.

`As set out on pages 16 – 18 of last year’s budget overview, the 2009 target was to fund 5477 officers and 2021 full-time civilians. The 2010 target (pages 13 4 of the 2010 overview) is 5576 officers and 2056 full time civilians. That is an increase of 134 staff. The Board should decide not to increase staff.

`2. Do not hire new officers to replace those who leave the force during 2010.

`The budget overview estimates that 250 officers will resign or retire during 2010 (page 13), but it also assumes they will all be replaced. This year they should not be replaced, but a smaller force should be asked to do more.

`There are four reasons for advancing this position. First, crime continues to decline. As the overview points out (page 28), major crime (murder, sexual assault, robbery, break and enter, theft over $5000) is down 10 per cent from the same time last year, and last year was down 9 per cent from the year before. At the same time, the number of calls for service that police responded to, the number of arrests, the number of gun calls, and the number of traffic tickets issued have all continued to fall (pages 29 30). Police clearly have less work to do.

`Second, the 2008 Environmental Scan argued that police officers were spending considerably more time at each call for service than in the past. (see , pages 155, 156, 179.) It seems that productivity can be increased substantially, without a reduction in service to the public, by simply having officers reduce the time spent at each call.

`Third, the cost per officer is now considerably in excess of $100,000. The wage settlement agreed to by the Board last year pays officers very very well compared with other public employees. A recruit in training is now paid the equivalent of $51,000 a year. Once the recruit joins the force, the pay jumps to $57,000 for the first year and $81,000 for the fourth year (page 14). Benefits are worth another 25 per cent (page 15). These officers should be expected to work harder for this money, and in any case the public simply cannot afford to pay more and more staff at higher and higher wages.

`Fourth, we believe the current strategy of the police force widening its net to try to become all things to all people is inappropriate. Two examples of this are putting police officers in high schools (apparently to improve relations with youth) and assuming surveillance duties on the transit system (for reasons that remain ill-defined.) These initiatives are not useful ways to prevent crime, nor do they assist in obtaining convictions. It would be better if the police force decided to use its resources to become better at what they are expected to do. For example, we believe it would be more appropriate if some resources were used to ensure that police are adequately trained in Charter procedures so that charges are not thrown out for Charter reasons, and in ensuring that cases proceed in a timely manner, rather than being challenged for dragging on for many years. Bringing more focus to police work is more important that the police expanding into areas that have little impact on crime and safety issues.

`3. New compressed work week schedule

`We have seen the press release on the new compressed work week schedule, and we ask the Board to make public the actual changes agreed to so we can actually see what it proposes. Apparently the result is that at long last the number of officers on duty will bear some relationship to the calls for service rather than being spread almost equally through the whole 24 hour cycle.

`Assuming this interpretation is fair we need to see the agreement to be sure of our reading of the matter – then the force should be able to operate with fewer officers. We suspect this change could mean that three or four fewer officers will be needed in each division during each shift, and that should result in reducing the force by a further 100 officers.

For the first year, the Board has posted the full operating budget for 2010 on the web site, . It is long 815 pages and takes forever to download, but it contains interesting commentary on a unit-by-unit basis for those who like to wallow in detail.

    3. Compressed work week, new schedule?

The Toronto Police Services Board and Toronto Police Association issued a joint press release in late November saying they had reached an agreement on a new compressed work week. This is a matter they have been bargaining on for the last few years, at considerable cost.

The agreement apparently says that the new compressed work week schedule will be tried on one or two divisions staring next March, but won’t be fully implemented for a year or two. Unfortunately, no further details are available the Board has yet to release the agreement.

The current arrangement certainly has it flaws. For one thing, three are three platoons working every day (the other two platoons are off) working shifts of 10, 10 and 8 hours. That means that we pay for 28 hours of policing for every 24 hour period. (Other police forces in the GTA work two twelve hour shifts in a 24 hour period, which is much less costly. The extra four hours a day in Toronto adds 12 per cent to salary costs for the Toronto force, or about $80 million a year.) None of the overlap in the three shifts occurs during peak time for police service needs, that is, the early evening the overlap occurs during non-peak periods so Toronto residents get none of the benefit of these extra on-duty officers.

Does the new compressed work week schedule address either of these problems? We have not been provided with the details to know, and when information is not made available, one fears for the worst.

    4. New complaints procedure in Ontario.

The new complaints office, Office of the Independent Police Review, is now up and running. The web site is , and you can file a complaint on line.

But There’s a big problem you face as you begin to fill out the on-line form, namely the following statement: The information in this form will be forwarded to the appropriate police complaints authority for consideration. This includes a professional standards department or police authority of the relevant police service.

Obviously, the intention is to simply shift the complaint over to the police force you are complaining about, and that is bound to send shivers down the spine of many who think of making a complaint. There is nothing said about how this new provincial agency is there to protect your interest as a complainant and ensure that you are treated fairly, or that the police will be held to account. This is a significant oversight if this new agency is to be effective.

On the subject of complaints, one should note that Paul Kennedy, who has been the complaints officer with the RCMP, and who has urged that a better and more transparent complaints system be instituted by the RCMP, has not been reappointed by the federal government. The interpretation by the media and most others is that the feds don’t like having someone this reasonable within the bosom of the government’s police department.

    5. New rules for tasers

Taser International announced in mid October that its stun gun should not be aimed at the heart not that there were any real problems, but just in case, whatever. Toronto police (and other police forces) immediately came out with new policies recommending that officers aim lower.

One wonders when it will be suggested that the genitals isn’t a good area to aim at either.

Toronto Police Officer Charged MISSISSAUGA, ON, Dec. 22 /CNW/ – The Director of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Ian Scott, has reasonable grounds to believe that an officer with the Toronto Police Service (TPS) committed criminal offences in relation to an incident involving a 21-year-old man. Director Scott has caused charges to be laid against the officer.  The SIU was contacted on September 8, 2009, regarding a complaint of a sexual nature against one officer with the TPS. The alleged incident occurred six days prior, on September 2, 2009. The SIU was notified that on this date, the 21-year-old man was stopped for driving infractions. There was an interaction, and as a result, the man sustained injuries.  As a result of the SIU investigation, Constable Salameh Marji of the TPS is facing one charge of Sexual Assault, contrary to s. 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada and one charge of Assault, contrary to s. 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada.  A summons was served on the officer today, and he is compelled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at College Park Courthouse in Toronto on January 18, 2010. The Justice Prosecutions branch of the Ministry of the Attorney General will have carriage of the prosecution.  As this matter is now before the courts, and in consideration of the fair trial interests of the charged officer and the community, the SIU will make no further comment pertaining to this investigation.  The SIU is a civilian agency that investigates cases of serious injuries (including allegations of sexual assault) and deaths involving the police. Pursuant to section 113 of the Police Services Act, the Director of the SIU is mandated to consider whether a criminal offence has been committed by an officer(s) in connection with the incident under investigation and, where warranted by the evidence, to cause a criminal charge or charges to be laid against the officer(s). The Director reports the results of investigations to the Attorney General.  For further information: Monica Hudon, SIU Communications/Service des communications, UES, Telephone/No de telephone: (416) 622-2342 or/ou 1-800-787-8529
It is billed by the London Police Department Chief as “the best (shooting) range in Ontario.” At $22 million, it is certainly modern but one of the features might sit poorly with judges and civil libertarians.  While police can shoot a fleeing suspect that presents an imminent threat to the public, it is relatively rare in most crimes and raises obvious questions under Tennessee v. Garner. The entire project will ultimately cost $32 million and the facility’s gun range is billed as training officers to do a range of shooting,

Meanwhile  a Toronto doctor is facing a disciplinary hearing over allegations he approved special meal allowances for people on welfare and disability programs according to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.  Dr. Roland Wong,  said he continues to approve applications for the special diet but only if he believes patients have an underlying medical condition that qualifies them for the financial supplement.  “Today, I signed maybe five, four,” he said. “Sometimes more, depends.”  He accused the auditor general of having a very “slanted view” of the program, and suggested he should be looking instead at the woefully inadequate support payments paid to people in need.  Wong said he wasn’t overly concerned about the disciplinary hearing because it was based on a complaint laid against him by a municipal councillor.  “This is a case of politicians against a physician, not the patient against the physician,” he said.  The Special Diet Allowance provides up to $250 per month to a person on social assistance who requires special foods for such conditions as diabetes.  Councillor Doug Holyday said  . “This can’t go on.”     Quebec and other provinces have no such adequate help program and why?

Next we will shoot any person on social welfare as well? the sick too?

Medical Errors are also still a  leading cause of Deaths. More and more people die from medical mistakes each year than from highway accidents, breast cancer, or AIDS. And bad pharmaceutical drugs kill more people every year than are killed in traffic accidents. Many hospitalized patients suffered a serious adverse drug reaction (ADR)  and died as a result. The researchers found that over 75 per cent of these ADRs were dose-dependent, which suggests they were due to the inherent toxicity of the drugs rather than to allergic reactions. The researchers concluded that ADRs are now the fourth leading cause of death  after heart disease, cancer, and stroke. Any deaths   from  misdiagnosis of the ailment , deaths from unnecessary surgery;  from medication errors in hospitals;  deaths from other errors in hospitals;  deaths from infections in hospitals;  deaths from  adverse effects of medications, or from adverse drug reactions used to treat the illness, they  are all always still unacceptable!
It is always the same old problem, Professionals, civil and Public servants, Doctors and medical staff continual indifference to the need of others, Almost since my first job after graduating from university I had learned that people are not to be trusted, need to be supervised, and corruption still exists in construction, universities, municipalities, governments, corporations, amongst professionals and politicians as well. Hospital costs savings so the Doctors can get more money, even bad who Doctors fail to define the sicknesses soon enough. Law suits and the related bad publicity have been proven to be one of the most effective weapons in dealing with medical inadequacies.

    Montreal Police Accountability

The Montreal police officer who shot and killed 18-year-old Fredy Villanueva in Montreal, his version of accounts has not been collaborated by independent witnesses. Lapointe’s report, as well as the one written by his partner, Const. Stéphthe officer drove up to a group of five individuals gathered in Henri-Bourassa Park. The officer said he “saw very distinctly” that the men were playing dice, contrary to a municipal bylaw.Among them, Lapointe said he saw Jeffrey Sagor Mettellus, a known member of the Bloods street gang, as well as another man that he also recognized as a street-gang member.anie Pilotte.  After stopping his car and calling the men over, Lapointe said all of them obeyed his order except one: Villanueva’s older brother, Danny, who walked away.Lapointe said he then got out of his cruiser and ordered the man to identify himself. When the elder Villanueva refused, Lapointe tried to take him into custody. He said he was concerned Villanueva was armed. Lapointe said Villanueva fought back, forcing the officer to push him to the ground. A crime scene technician’s photo shows injuries to Const. Jean-Loup Lapointe’s arm. (Robert Fortin/Quebec Provincial Police)He described how Villanueva kicked Pilotte several times as they tried to restrain him. Lapointe said Villanueva even managed to free his hands and “hit me with his right fist straight in the face, on the jaw.” Then, Lapointe said he noticed the other four men moving in on him. Two seemed to be stretching out their hands toward his neck and his belt, where he carried his gun. When one of them grabbed his neck, Lapointe said he realized his partner “was not in a position to come to [his] defence … and [he] was not physically capable of overcoming these men.” After the men ignored his order to back up, Lapointe said he “saw no other alternative than to fire immediately.”    Lapointe said he was so concerned about the threat of being disarmed by the men that he shot his gun “three or four times,” without even removing it from the holster. Lapointe’s gunshots struck and killed Fredy Villanueva. Sagor Metellus and another man, Denis Méas, were also injured. In her report submitted Aug. 15, 2008, Pilotte said that while trying to restrain Danny Villanueva she was so “focused on the lower part of his body” as he kicked that she “had no knowledge of what was going on around.” “I can’t even say what was the precise position of my partner on the ground,” wrote Pilotte, who had graduated from the province’s police academy 18 months before the shooting. The two reports provide a similar version of the events that Saturday afternoon But we have seen the same thing in Vancouver RCMP where it next became clear to many that the Police lied. The shooting sparked violent riots in the multi-ethnic working class community of Montreal North. Quebec’s Liberal government ordered a coroner’s inquest amid pressure from the Villanueva’s family, friends and community.
UNDENIABLY TOO MANY MONTREAL POLICE OFFICERS ARE ALREADY KNOWN TO BE BULLIES, RACISTS, SEPARATISTS TOO. Excuse me they do not do racial profiling? They are only bigots – a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own.. one who is strongly partial to one’s own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.. the shoe fits.
Some say that the cops were already  looking to beat up someone merely, they falsely escalated the issue, for they could have called for local Police reinforcement beforehand if they knew who these persons now really were like, bad.    Villanaueva did not have previous criminal record nor a gun.  The charter of rights and freedoms does not give police the right to detain for arbitrary reasons.   “Anyone like myself who has Ontario plates on their car and been pulled over by the Montreal police knows they do profile people.. no matter what race you are.” As many local natives, blacks  have also found out now.   If the cop was killed instead, the news media would be flooded with “my condolences to the family of the fallen officer”. Why is it that when a cop kills someone, many people instantly assume immediately that it was a “justifiable” action?  “One less gang member on the street, both police officers who were doing THEIR JOB go home safe. Great ending.” what THE POLICE CAN NOW shoot all gang members on sight  too? The police in Canada now have become judge and jury? Unaccountable to no one?  But not all cops are good Angels for sure now too.
Almost since my first job after graduating from university I had learned that people are not to be trusted, need to be supervised, and corruption still exists in construction, universities, municipalities, governments, corporations, amongst professionals and politicians as well
Tax payer’s money abuses, false expense account statements, stealing, tax evasions,   obstruction of justice, cheating, lying,  drunkenness, impaired driving, pornography,  Adultery, VERBAL, PHYSICAL ABUSES, are all ESPECIALLY unacceptable for any civil and public servants. It is a clearly established fact with good basis as to why our Canadian leaders, politicians, police, military, public and civil servants  who are always to be exemplary are even personally are to held to a higher standard, accountability in reality.
Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty is one of the best approach serving everyone’s best interest too.
People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks. Too many police officers are now too often guilty of their most serious neglect of public trust and their duty. The related truth is that neither an independent police investigation, a new police commissioner,  a promised provincial or federal investigation, or just more politicians promises too often still   will not bring the much needed justice. All of the governments can prohibit the initial and further employment of any known racists for any jobs, and can  punish them for their racists acts, views. Police managers continue to promise the reforming of bad cops and the bad cops keep killing, abusing  innocent persons. The possible retaining of bad  police officers is always anyway a false myth. What thus is always needed is the real  the dismissal, criminal prosecution, of the guilty cops. So where is it? Speeding is not the main cause of car accidents, impaired driving is, but too many cops are alcoholics it seems who wrongfully do sympathize with drunks and as a result do not arrest drunks all year
And what next more More planned killings?  “It is billed by the London Police Department Chief as “the best (shooting) range in Ontario.” At $22 million, it is certainly modern but one of the features might sit poorly with judges and civil libertarians.  While police can shoot a fleeing suspect that presents an imminent threat to the public, it is relatively rare in most crimes and raises obvious questions under Tennessee v. Garner. The entire project will ultimately cost $32 million and the facility’s gun range is billed as training officers to do a range of shooting”

CANADA WIDE? WHAT THEY HAVE ALREADY?

A serious warning for Quebec’s Premier Jean Charest too.

UNPROSECUTED BAD CRIMMINALS ABOUND IN QUEBEC  CAUSE CLEARLY OUR BAD LEADERS, ADMINSTRATORS THEY DO NOT WANT TO PROSECUTE THEIR BAD ASSOCIATES.Ongoing Montreal Corruptions while the Police , RCMP and the Federal, Quebec Governments did nothing about it.. Exemplary Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty serves very ones best interest… too often still missing in the PROFESSIONAL BODIES, EVEN IN THE RCMP, police   forces, churches, ALL GOVERNMENTS  as well it seems too.

Jean Charest the bad Quebec Premier did not listen to good advice so he lost his relection, and even lost his own seat.

Quebec is known to be too soft on white collared crimes,

Racial profiling  also is a serious problem in Quebec and more needs to be done to address it, the province’s human rights commission said.  A recent investigation, focusing mainly on young people’s experiences, was launched after the commission said it had received 100 complaints involving allegations of racial profiling since 2005. More than half of the cases involved police — and seven of those are currently before the province’s Human Rights Tribunal.

It is not just what you do that next can haunt you, but also what you had wrongfully failed to do as well. Things can change rapidly for the worse as well now.. Many, many people falsely still do think that bad things happen only to the others and will not happen to them next as well. The federal Liberals had in the past failed to adequately deal with the issues of adequate law and order and paid a big, big price for it, and who is next now?  The bigger they are the harder they next can fall as well…Seriously note this law and order alone is not enough, it has to be supplemented by decency as well. Indecent law and order leads to a police state, something the New Conservatives are rather like .. and here is what many politicians, crooks seem to fail to see as well, the problem with public exposure with wrong doings, is that you cannot take it back after it has been dispersed, and some people have long memories next too.

Follow the money. It’s the oldest rule in journalism. The truth? It’s all about money, as it always generally is.  Together, Liberal British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec speak for three-quarters of Canadians OR FOR 100 PERCENT OF THE BIG CORPORATIONS?

The latest survey of voter intentions, conducted in November by the Léger Marketing firm, showed the Parti Québécois pulling ahead of the Liberals in popular support.. The Léger poll, commissioned by Le Devoir, had the PQ up to 41 per cent support to 37 per cent for the Liberals, the best PQ showing in more than two years. It was consistent with a survey by the rival, and equally esteemed, CROP firm at the end of October, which also had the PQ ahead, though with a slimmer margin of 40 per cent to 39 for the Liberals.

Quebec Premier Jean Charest,   seemingly impenetrable ship has been taking on water in recent weeks.  Charest’s headaches began with shocking allegations of corruption involving construction companies, municipal politicians and the Italian Mafia.  Those scandals didn’t involve his government but they became his problem when, in the face of widespread demands for a public inquiry, Charest steadfastly declined to call one and sustained daily attacks for his refusal.  Attacks on his government intensified this week, when an opposition investigation suggested the province’s iconic $7-a-day childcare plan was being used in a pay-for-play scheme to benefit his Liberal party.  The Parti Quebecois found an astounding number of contracts — up to 70 per cent in one region — had gone to registered Liberal donors, and in some cases these people only became contributors after getting a daycare permit.  There was also a provincial auditor’s report that found Quebec’s regional venture-capital funds hadn’t complied with conflict-of-interest rules.  Instead of an inquiry, Charest has moved to tighten rules for political fundraising and construction contracts, and has created a $26.8-million police investigation unit. With the legislature now on its winter break, his Liberals will soon discover whether the daily demands for a probe might die down.

The pot calling the Kettle Black. The new federal consumer government being concerned about Consumer protection, only when it suits them undeniably certainly has not done anything about the  undeniable false misleading advertisements by Rogers, TELUS and Bell  or the bad RCMP for that matter or the two tier health care system with have in Canada.. Nor have the Liberals
Health Minister pushing for consumer protection  Toronto Sun –  OTTAWA – Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq is turning up the heat in her battle to reform Canada’s consumer protection law, accusing senators of siding with industry over consumers.

and don’t you dare get sick and go to a Hospital you might have to find out what the doctors, nurses, hospital and Medicare are really like now too

    For a start see also

Emergency  Wards in Hospitals can be a deadly place.. many people pick up all kinds of sicknesses there too.. shit disease included..

My local Quebec MLA’s seem to be so busy chasing the mighty dollar they say they are too busy to talk to me and seem too often to forget about me often, they had not even replied my last letter to them about bad Bell Canada now too,  and in the process they now had by their poor management even lost 30 percent of the Quebecers  pension fund.

Subject: Problems with Quebec’s health care systems
Attention: Clement Gignac Ministre du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation Député de Marguerite-Bourgeoys
It is unbelievable that after I had written about it now to our Quebec even Health Ministers, Premiers, major news media too,  too even for many years later 15 years even  I can go to most local Hospitals or Convalescent homes in Montreal Quebec and there too easily see the typical and mostly poorly supervised doctors, nurse, medical care workers and when I write to you my own member of the legislature too about it, ( hand delivered it as well)  what neither you or your staff now  do not even bother to acknowledge  my emails, correspondences, never mind act upon it and why is that? She was today again too busy to talk to me.. my local MLA’s representative
Do I really now have to write to everyone, all the news editors too,  about his next too and post it it on the net before I will now get a satisfactory result too from you? RSVP
Now no one by now, absolutely  still no one should underestimate me or get complacent with me as  I do not hesitate to fully expose to all, to demand full prosecution of all the guilty absolves persons I do run into still to all. I do not accept inappropriate actions lightly too.. It should be obvious to  all also that I merely do not  write to you too now for the fun of it and not only do I  also   post my unresolved complaints eventually on the internet even for the whole world to read, and I have been doing this for the last few decades too. I do expect seriously, full appropriate actions on the matter of all of my complaints,  and so I do send copies of all of my complaints to key members of Parliament to all of  Canada’s major news editors as well now for their further notice and appropriate actions too.

Post-budget Liberals plummet in popularity Montreal Gazette –  A Léger Marketing poll conducted for Le Devoir and published yesterday establishes the level of dissatisfaction with Premier Jean Charest’s government at a record high of 77 per cent.

MONTREAL – A former Quebec justice minister has levelled a stream of bombshell allegations against Premier Jean Charest’s government, accusing it of serious ethics violations. Marc Bellemare says the Liberal premier was well aware of them.  Bellemare suggested the governing Liberals routinely flouted fundraising laws and also took orders from party bagmen on whom to appoint as judges.  He says he was pressured, on three occasions, to name a judge requested by influential donors. Bellemare also says stacks of cash were forked over by construction company bosses and funnelled into party coffers.  In the interview, Bellemare never used the word ‘illegal’ to describe the practices, preferring to describe them as ‘irregular.’ But Quebec’s landmark fundraising law, introduced by Rene Levesque’s Parti Quebecois government in the 1970s, forbids donations over $3,000.  Bellemare says he warned the premier after witnessing those big cash transactions – and says he was ignored.  He says he also confronted the premier twice – in the fall of 2003 and the spring of 2004 – when pressured by influential financiers to make appointments, including judgeships.  “I asked, ‘Who names judges? The justice minister – or this guy and that guy who’d raised lots of money,”‘ Bellemare said in the interview.  He says he ultimately wound up naming those judges.  “Because it was an order by the big moneymen of the party – and the premier was in agreement with it,” he said.  “I complained to the premier. But that, apparently, was the way things went.”

In yet another allegation, Bellemare says even the government’s legislative agenda was shaped by its fundraisers. He says certain bills were killed at their request.  Bellemare says influential moneymen “expected payback” for all the cash they pumped into the Liberal party. The premier’s popularity has plummeted spectacularly in recent months, partly due to allegations of ethics violations.

An unpopular budget loaded with tax hikes compounded those problems, with tens of thousands of protesters now regularly taking to the streets. Two newspapers had front-page pictures Monday of protesters holding up signs saying, “Damned liar.”  One poll listed dissatisfaction with the Charest government at a whopping 77 per cent. Just a few months ago, Charest was seemingly on cruise control, basking in the height of his popularity and frequently being cited as a possible future prime minister of Canada. That was before the first controversies broke. The troubles began with a scandal about Mafia involvement in the construction industry, and that industry’s influence over political fundraising at the Montreal municipal level. Radio-Canada reported that construction companies colluded to jack up the cost of public works contracts, shared their profits with the Mob, and intimidated rivals. Word that those same construction companies had helped raise money for political parties rocked Montreal’s mayoral race last fall. But Charest steadfastly refused demands for a public inquiry, when almost every major player in the province was asking for one.

Bellemare left politics only one year after the Charest Liberals were first elected. He says his abrupt exit stemmed from those ethics violations. “It disgusted me – and that’s why I left in the spring of 2004.” As for rampant rumours that construction bosses illegally pumped cash into Liberal party coffers, Bellemare says the allegations are true. The premier shouldn’t feign surprise today at word of fundraising irregularities, Bellemare said. “I can tell you he (Charest) was very well informed.”

The way normal business is supposedly being carried on also by by the Liberals in Quebec, it is no wonder my local Liberal MLA and the others too never write  back to me or acknowledge  any of my serious, critical, important letters  to them still. So what I  too do now have to first give a large donation to the Liberal party before my MLA will next consider reading any of my complaints?  It sure seems so!!!

Canada’s economy goes into reverse Montreal Gazette –  Canada’s economy declined in July for the first time in more than a year as the country’s recovery faltered

( Bring down the price of rent; food; down. Stop taking raising the taxes and maybe they will have a chance. With Toronto’s David Miller taxing us to death to support his ill concived plans and fattening the unions, and Dalton McGuinty wasting that money on bribing unionized teachers, ehalth etc, and the rest of the governments with fat and overpaid bureaucracy what money is left for others? there will be A LOT more poor families in Ontario. )
Here is what the Canadian Press reports too
Canadian Stocks Post Biggest Drop Among Developed Markets on Gold’s Plunge
Almost all stimulus cash committed: Harper CBC Prime Minister Stephen Harper released the government’s fourth quarterly report on its economic recovery plan to reporters shortly after arriving in China on Wednesday On Monday, Statistics Canada reported that the economy expanded 0.1 per cent in the third quarter, the first quarterly gain since the third quarter of 2008. The 0.1 per cent figure reported by Statistics Canada is in quarterly terms. On an annualized basis, the economy grew at a 0.4 per cent pace in the July-September quarter. More like $62-billion shot in dark. Building bridges only give contractors jobs. Building water-mains and sewers only gives contractors jobs. Building roads and infrastructure only gives contractors jobs and civil, public servants.. but what about the rest of us? Committed does not mean SPENT! Time and time again we’ve seen governments promise to do something and even make provisions for it in the budget, but fail to carry through and actually do something. and how much of that stimulus money is going to non CON ridings.. only $ 18 Billion at most ( if all spent ) is  stimulus. The other $ 40 Billion is Harper  cutting GST & corporate income taxes and his  general mismanagement of public funds.  All of the news should report some real facts along with the PMO press releases they merely parrot. What I don’t understand is why more people are not more alarmed by his refusal to explain how much has been put out the door. He only ever comments on how much is committed, and refuses to give numbers on the amount spent. He even refuses to give the numbers on the amount spent to the Parliamentary Budget Officer, the man Harper appointed to examine this kind of program to ensure that it was being done efficiently and in a transparent manner.Just another example about how the Conservative “accountable and transparent” only refers to other people. I sure hope that the 850 thousand that are unemployment get jobs …Over the past few weeks many more have also become unemployed …..Lots of worries for these folks ..
The Canadian economy in reality supposedly crawled out of the so called by the Conservatives a  no recession in the third quarter of this  year but remains weaker than most had  been falsely predicted, expected and the jobless rate is expected to continue rising for months to come. The Canadian government spending pledged after the economy dropped into recession is a  two-year C$47 billion  stimulus package, and infrastructure projects  account for C$16 billion of the total If all funding for these initiatives has not been allocated by this date, the government will reallocate funding to other initiatives or allow funds to lapse,” the Department of Finance said in its report. It did not say what other projects the money might be spent on. Funds have been committed on more than 12,000 projects, and of those, 8,000 have begun, it said. The government considers a project underway as soon as it has been put up for tender; it does not mean work has physically begun. The Liberals say that, as of September, only about 12 per cent of the stimulus projects had actually started. The federal government must negotiate funding with provincial and municipal governments and estimates that when all levels of government spending are included, the funding committed for stimulus measures will total C$62 billion per year for 2 years. ,” Liberal finance critic John McCallum said  that “The government won’t tell us how many jobs have been created … presumably because with only 7 pct of the projects under way, very few jobs have been created, “Just because over 90 per cent of the money has been committed, doesn’t mean people are actually at work,”  “They do not tell us how many jobs have been created. We know they know, because the municipalities are required to submit that information, but they won’t tell us.”  Government officials have said they do not track the number of jobs created by the stimulus program, even though one of the key goals of the program is to put people back to work. But the Liberals have produced documents showing that the government does collect such data – it just hasn’t released it. The federal stimulus program is comprised of some permanent measures such as tax cuts, along with temporary ones such as infrastructure spending and providing liquidity to unlisted financial institutions. An independent investigation by The Canadian Press has shown that stimulus money was not targeted at areas of high unemployment. Rather, it has favoured ridings held by Tory MPs. The Harper administration has staked its fiscal reputation on the ability of the stimulus plan to quickly create or maintain almost 200,000 jobs across Canada but most of these will be in the civil services firstly  it seems.. Under an agreement negotiated with the Liberals last spring, Conservative Finance Minister Flaherty is obliged to submit quarterly updates on how the stimulus program is working.   But the parliamentary budget officer has complained that the updates released so far are so lacking in detail and inconsistent in their format that they are not very useful.

Stop. Note. Being unemployed in today’s recession is still a very serious issue, it means  a possible loss of one’s health next as well, it means spending one’s savings, it means hardships in reality.

Now, with hundreds of thousands of jobless Ontarians, Albertans, etc. struggling on inadequate employment insurance and welfare benefits … One in eight Ontario children live in families that can’t afford fresh fruits and vegetables every day, or can’t afford to replace a broken appliance or share the occasional meal with friends or family.

Rise of EI claims in BC among highest in Canada Vancouver Sun – The number of beneficiaries collecting employment insurance in B.C. in September jumped by 11,280, or 12.8 per cent, to 99,360. That total number of recipients is now 130 per cent above this time last year, the second-biggest rise in the country, according to a report released Tuesday by Statistics Canada. Nationally, the number of people collecting EI jumped more than seven per cent in September. Regular EI recipients grew by 54,300 to 818,020 during the month, with biggest increases coming in Alberta, B.C. and Ontario. EI beneficiaries in Ontario increased by 22,520, or nine per cent, to 271,680,. National and provincial data is seasonally adjusted, while data from cities is not. The national September total is up 63.5 per cent since peak employment in October 2008. The biggest increases in September EI benefits were among young people under 25. Since October 2008, Canada has lost 400,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate has risen to 8.6 per cent.  Employment started to grow again in August and September — adding a total of 57,700 positions — but that growth came to an abrupt end last month when another 43,200 jobs were chopped.NUMBER OF EI RECIPIENTSTraditionally the  lay offs tend to be around Christmas, at year ends, before the next years’ Corporate budget is started. The actual unemployment rate is higher, since the new people on social aid are not included as unemployed..

Beneficiaries as of September, with increase from August:

    British Columbia 99,360 +12.8%

Yes, actions speak louder than words. It’s time we stopped pretending that Stephen Harper is a “Conservative” like Canada’s authentic traditional “Tories.” They are not behaving at all like the party of John A. Macdonald, John Diefenbaker, Robert Stanfield or even Brian Mulroney.  In fact, they are an oil company-sponsored adaptation of Alberta’s Reform Party with a few former “Progressive” Conservatives (REJECTS) who had no where else to go.  Canada’s genuine Progressive Conservatives would never sabotage a global climate change agreement or try to remove equal funding for other parties. They believed in a vibrant democracy and a Canada that is truly a “model for the World.” ” D.S. Barclay, Georgetown

“The federal Conservative Party and the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario have both shown a distain for their respective houses that has reached an all time low. Let’s look at the prime minister first. We have the possible torture of Afghan prisoners after we handed them over to the Afghans. Instead of taking a serious look at what was happening, the government decided to attack and discredit the messenger. It went on a campaign to smear the reputation of Richard Colvin who was brave enough to report his concerns. Stephen Harper also went after opposition parties, accusing them of not supporting the troops because they dared to question the government over these allegations. This is when they hit an all-time low. Harper is quoted as saying (while talking to some troops surrounded by Canadian flags), “when some in the political arena do not hesitate before throwing the most serious of allegations at our men and women in uniform, based on the most flimsy of evidence, remember Canadians from coast to coast are proud of you, I am proud of you and I stand beside you.”  So, if you dare to question the government on its handling of issues in Afghanistan, you don’t support the troops? He is ducking behind the troops, using them to make his tenuous point, trying to deflect us from the issue at hand. It is a disgraceful, cowardly way to make a point.” I hold faint hope that we will return to the days of all parties being concerned about Canadians, instead of their antics to maintain and get power at all costs. It’s disheartening.

PM represents a fundamental shift in priorities – Prime Minister Stephen Harper, a “values” and fiscal conservative, shares the Thatcher-Reagan goal of reducing any and all forms of taxation on business. The goal is to use the state/corporate nexus to generate rather than redistribute wealth even if this results in ballooning deficits and debts. What is at stake over the HST is the redistribution of taxing powers between the federal and provincial governments. Harper’s goal is to reduce federal spending on health and social programs by transferring full control over these programs along with taxing revenues to the provinces. Ottawa will then use its reduced taxing and spending powers to focus on defence, infrastructure renewal, and to fund the expansion of corporate Canada. This is a clear example of this neoconservative shift of priorities from the well-being of individual Canadians to the well-being of corporate Canada.

as to the Jews, Arabs, None of them are politically correct.
Too bad still that  both the Jews and Arabs falsely, deliberately, equally do refuse to live in peace! and cannot forgive one another but demand an eye for an eye.. more hatred..  Asking all of us taking sides in a much more complex issue over them living in peace, their false religious wars are also here.. and they do  too often falsely demand, want to enforce their one side rules upon all of the others.. Less any one gets lost, there are Good Jews, Good Arabs, good Americans, good Canadians and bad ones too.   But it seems both Jews and Arabs are equally guilty of hate, unforgiveness, revenge, theft, murder, an eye for an eye approach  so we can really not support either side as being mainly in the right. Isn’t it nice that I can still choose who my friends are and I can still choose to still know the real truths.. How should Bible-believing Christians align themselves in the Jewish-Palestinian conflict?  Never.. When in fact both are in  major errors.. There are Biblical reasons for treating both sides with compassionate public justice in the same way that disputes should be settled between nations generally. In other words, the Bible does not teach us to be partial to Israel or to the Palestinians because either has a special divine status.
9- 0 Israeli homes have been demolished by Palestinians and at least 28,000 Palestinian homes have been demolished by Israel since 1967
I do not deny that Israel was once, in the past chosen by God from all the peoples of the world to be the focus of special blessing in the history of redemption which climaxed in Jesus Christ, the Messiah. “The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth” (Deuteronomy 7:6). But Christians now alone are the chosen People
Nor do I deny that God promised to Israel the presently disputed land from the time of Abraham onward. God said to Moses, “This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring'” (Deuteronomy 34:4).  But neither of these Biblical facts leads necessarily to the endorsement of present-day Israel as the rightful possessor of all the disputed land. Israel may have such a right but now she does not. As  that decision is not based on divine privilege.
I  also do not  believe rightfully that Israel today is the fulfillment of Scriptural prophecy, because the Lord promised to restore Israel in righteousness (Hosea 10:12). Israel went into spiritual adultery, idolatry. God raised up Hosea to pronounce judgment on them. All we are seeing in the Middle East today is hatred, war killings and a deadlock concerning the location of the temple mount (whom Muslims now control).   The Jews are at the Weeping Wall today; that’s as far as they’ve got. Jews today are still not looking for their Redeemer, the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Sadly, Judaism still denies Christ as do the Muslims and many others.
Israel today is based much on the stolen land from others.. When the Government of Israel committed    human rights violations, the Old testament prophets openly condemned them, 2 Kings 6:21 –23, 2 Chronicles 28:9-11, Nehemiah 5:7-11, Jeremiah 34:11-17, Amos 2:6-7, etc.
Abraham was not a Jew, neither was Noah, Jared, Methuselah, Enos, Enoch, Adam, Eve, Seth, Arphaxad, etc etc etc. No temple, no temple laws, no Hebrews, no Hebrew laws. In written record, most of the laws came into being at the time of Moses.   Who now  are Abrahams’s seed? Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
And as for the Jews? So, at what point do they become “Hebrew” or Jewish… you mean when did they start to follow the Judaism religion.. under Moses.. Jews, Judaism is a religion today and not a blood line since after 70 AD when the Romans destroyed the temple… records in Jerusalem.. no one can prove anymore he is a Jew by his blood line.. only by choice.. Judaism itself is dead to God after they had killed their Messiah Jesus Christ..
Thus says the Lord God of Israel: You shed blood, yet you would keep possession on the land? You rely on your sword, you do abominable things… yet you would keep possession of the land?… I will make the land a desolate waste, and her proud strength will come to an end. (Ezekiel 33:25-29) On the basis of such sober warnings is it not more likely that Israel will experience an imminent exile rather than restoration? The tension between Christians who call for the implementation of international law and Zionists is no where more clearly polarized than on the issue of the status of Jerusalem.
Any intelligent person who is sitting on the fence not really knowing what to believe or who to believe would look at these Islam and what they teach and know that Islam is a creation of the devil because of the darkness it contains, but  Christianity  is the truth and the right path for all of creation either on an individual level or a civilization level because it is all about accepting one another, loving one another, forgiving one another and doing good to one another, a beacon of light for humanity. Islam is a  a cult, and  a total and false 100% system of life. It has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. In all of the 27 countries ruled by Islam, the church is the state! No other religion will be tolerated. Islam  Like Judaism denies freedom of religion, free speech, and is guilty of murder, human rights violations. “Islam presents a monstrous worldview, birthed in the pit of hell, which brings untold misery and murder upon precious people created in the image of God. Religion is its cover (its beard) by which it gains entrance into nations where the ‘freedom of religion’ is sacrosanct. It then takes this freedom afforded to it, and begins its insidious takeover.”   Informed people know that Allah was an Arab moon god whose name Mohammed elevated to be the name of Islam’s highest power. That is why the crescent moon and a star are on the Islamic flag and on Islamic houses of worship. Informed people know that fundamentalist Muslim clerics have loudly and clearly declared jihad, or holy war, against all infidels ― that is, all non-Muslims of the world. And informed people know that the Koran says that by killing an infidel, a Muslim is assured of a place in heaven.  We must stand against the evil spirit of Islam which says all who love the God of Abraham,  must be eliminated. This is extremely problematic and a real stumbling block when it comes to forming friendships or cooperative relationships with those of the Islamic faith.

The author of Hebrews says that Abraham hoped for a “heavenly” country.

Hebrews 11:15-20 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.

In April 2013, the church published a report entitled “The Inheritance of Abraham: A Report on the Promised Land,” which included a discussion of Israeli and Jewish claims to the Land of Israel. The report said “there has been a widespread assumption by many Christians as well as many Jewish people that the Bible supports an essentially Jewish state of Israel. This raises an increasing number of difficulties and current Israeli policies regarding the Palestinians have sharpened this questioning,” and that “promises about the Land of Israel were never intended to be taken literally.” The church responded to criticism by saying that “The Church has never and is not now denying Israel’s right to exist; on the contrary, it is questioning the policies that continue to keep peace a dream in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory. This report is against the injustices leveled against the Palestinian people and how land is shared. It is also a reflection of the use or misuse of scripture to claim divine right to land by any group. The Church of Scotland denies the Jewish right to the Biblical land of Israel and which urges British and European pressure upon Israel over Jewish residence in Judea and Samaria.

The Church of Scotland 10-page report, entitled, ‘The Inheritance of Abraham,’ calls essentially for economic sanctions and pressure on Israel. The report “urge[s] the UK Government and the European Union to use pressure to stop further expansion of Israeli settlements in the Occupied West Bank.” The Church report also rejects the Jewish claim to its biblical, religious, historic and legal homeland, saying that it does not accept “claims that scripture offers any peoples a privileged claim for possession of a particular territory.”

Quotations from the report: • [Regarding Biblical promises of the land of Israel to the Jewish people] “They are a way of speaking about how to live under God so that justice and peace reign, the weak and poor are protected, the stranger is included, and all have a share in the community and a contribution to make to it.”

•“The ‘promised land’ in the Bible is not a place, so much as a metaphor of how things ought to be among the people of God. This ‘promised land’ can be found — or built — anywhere.

•“The desire of many in the state of Israel to acquire the land of Palestine for the Jewish people is wrong. The fact that the land is currently being taken by settlement expansion, the separation barrier, house clearance, theft and force makes it doubly wrong to seek biblical sanction for this.

•“There is guilt among Western Christianity about centuries of anti-Semitism that led to discrimination against the Jews, culminating in the total evil of the Holocaust.”

•“Possession of any land is clearly conditional. The question that arises is this: Would the Jewish people today have a fairer claim to the land if they dealt justly with the Palestinians?”

•“… it can be concluded that Christians should not be supporting any claims by Jewish or any other people to an exclusive or even privileged divine right to possess particular territory.”

A statement by the Church also explained that the Church has not changed its “long held position of the rights of Israel to exist … The Church condemns all violence and acts of terrorism where they happen around the world. The Church condemns all things that create a culture of anti-Semitism.” However, they still retains the passage urging the UK government and the EU to use boycotts and pressure on Israel.

For a people and  a nation like the Jews or the  Palestinians  that have been vilified, put down, oppressed, persecuted,  anything or anyone  that offers hope, promise of relief is too quickly, easily accepted even if it is based on lies.. especially  when they are  told   by their leaders who say that peace can be achieved by war…
The Saudi-Israel Pact vs.the Palestinians and Iran  Oct 25—The recent round of talks between Iran and the P5+1 nations—Britain, China, France, Russia, the United States, plus Germany—has raised hopes in some quarters that after decades of i…solation, Iran, a nation with a long history and a vital link between Central Asia and the Middle East, will be able to play a significant role at a time when the entire Arab world is mired with hostilities and bloodshed. Although such expectation is decidedly premature as  what is nonetheless a certainty is that any further efforts to develop a rapprochement between Iran and the aforesaid six nations will be fought tooth-and-nail by the West’s two close allies, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The House of Saud is actively subverting rapprochement with Iran   Marc Lynch argues in Foreign Policy Oct. 15.    Saudis  pursue its “Islamic” mission, i.e., to convert all Sunni Muslims to Wahhabism and eliminate the “apostates” such as the Shi’as, Ahmediyyas, and other non-Sunni Muslims.  … While the Saudis are funding and arming Wahhabi-Salafi terrorists to pull down those regimes that associate with Iran and that remain unwilling to usher in a sectarian bloodbath in these Muslim-majority Arab countries.  Israel’s Netanyahu, but not Israel as a whole, wanted the United States and the West to launch an attack on the Iran-influenced Syria. When that project stalled, and the P5+1 talks were revived to allow Iran to present its case on its nuclear-power development, Netanyahu, like his Saudi collaborator, Prince Bandar, went ballistic. The core interests of Wahhabi Saudis and Israeli Zionists coincide, in keeping Iran isolated, if not dismantled. These interests, however, converge from two different directions. In the case of Saudi Arabia,  pose a challenge to its “supremacy” in the Islamic world. In order to establish this supremacy, the House of al-Saud promoted Wahhabism, which calls for elimination of all Shi’as, and labels the ancient nation of Iran, which is overwhelmingly majority Shi’a, a nation of apostates. In order to remain the primus inter pares among the Islamic nations, the House of Saud unabashedly joined hands with  Israel. The Zionists of Israel may not like the Wahhabis, but they also hate Iran as intensely as the Saudis do. Having acquired possession of the Promised Land, the Zionists’ objective was to grind the Palestinians into the dust. While the Saudis, and their fellow Sunni Salafis whimpered protests from time to time, it was Iran that began organizing against the Zionist policy on behalf of the Palestinians. Even today, the House of Saud’s allegiance to the Zionists remains intact. That is why the House of Saud deploys its Wahhabi-indoctrinated terrorists against the Shi’a Muslims as their prime target.  Iran has remained the only active backer of the Palestinians.  Israeli Zionists, with whom Netanyahu has made his bed, became particularly incensed when the Iran-backed and -funded Hezbollah Shi’as of Lebanon gave the much-vaunted Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) a bloody nose in 2006, during a 34-day military conflict in Lebanon, northern Israel, and the Golan Heights. Netanyahu and his fellow Zionists realize that their objective of grinding the Palestinians to dust could be attained only if Iran were weakened severely and kept isolated from the rest of the Islamic world. In this mission, the modern-day Zionists found an ally—Saudi Arabia, or rather the House of Saud—the progeny of nomadic Bedouins.  The collaboration between the two Iran-haters is no secret. In fact, an associate of Netanyahu leaked to the press that Israel is coordinating policies with Saudi and Gulf representatives to prevent the U.S. from easing-up on Iran’s nuclear program. John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers in her sins, that ye receive not her plagues. For her sins have reached up to heaven and God hath remembered her iniquities. (Rev. 18:4-5)

(2 Cor 13:11 KJV)  Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

The true Biblical scholar can note all of the major, essential Christian doctrines have been repeated by Jesus or the apostles in the New Testament. Zionism, the reestablishment of the nation of Israel, with Jerusalem as it’s capital is not one of them.  When Christianity became a formal, legal religion in the fourth century,  Churches throughout the world  agreed on which books should form the New Testament, and they agreed on several basic statements of faith. One of the doctrinal lists created was the Apostles’ Creed, the Creed was  an accurate summary of what the apostles taught. It too does not mention Zionism. Nor does the Nicene creed. Nor many others. So  the present support of Zionism by many Christians is not a true, valid  Christian teaching . PROVE ME WRONG FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT THEN.. Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”’(Mt. 4:4,7,10 )
Psalm NIV  78:56 But they put God to the test and rebelled against the Most High;  they did not keep his statutes. 57 Like their fathers they were disloyal and faithless,  as unreliable as a faulty bow. 58 They angered him with their high places; they aroused his jealousy with their idols. 59 When God heard them, he was very angry; he rejected Israel completely. 60 He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent he had set up among men. 61 He sent the ark of his might into captivity, his splendor into the hands of the enemy. 62 He gave his people over to the sword;he was very angry with his inheritance. 63 Fire consumed their young men,and their maidens had no wedding songs; 64 their priests were put to the sword, and their widows could not weep.
Too many fundamentals, professing Christians now falsely do claim that the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 was prophesied in Scripture while there is no direct support of this in the New Testament Bible even still. Zionism   “is a secularist, largely atheistic ideology” that emerged in the late 19th century. God still does not require the human input to fulfill his own prophecies.
Now too many Christian Zionists, extremists do falsely do now believe that in order to fulfill all of the Biblical prophecy, Israel must next conquer most of the Middle East. And anyone watched the mostly self centered, get richer TV evangelists such as a Pat Robertson or John Hagee and their distorted sermons scenarios involving the future “Rapture,” Jesus Christ and also Israel, should also quickly firstly now realize that these false prophets are not only fleecing, scaring their flock to give more money but falsely are into worshipping the false idol of Israel. . John Hagee pays himself over a million dollars a year in TAX FREE money while having several palaces to live in, like the $2.1 million 7,969-acre ranch outside Brackettville, Texas , with five lodges, including a “main lodge” and a gun locker.; Once considered a small marginal doctrine among evangelicals, the false dispensationalist theology of Christian Zionism has greatly escalated, ironically falsely with the help of Jews Messianic Jews, Judaizers and many others too.

The reality still is that the parable of the vineyard  Matt 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

This parable clearly shows that the Christian Church totally now rather succumbs all of the past promises made to Israel. Be careful about accepting anyone’s word about Christian Zionism do first read the Bible, New Testament for yourself and know the truth rather.
Now what right can Israel today use to claim again their God promised land when they have as in time pasts also openly, undeniably rejected God, even Jesus Christ as their  their God, Messiah, King, Savior, Healer, Lord, and the same Jesus who clearly predicted the expulsion of the Jews from Israel under the Romans next did not spell out the date of their return
The reality is that because of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross the New Covenant next  replaces the Mosaic Covenant, which is commonly referred to as the “Old Covenant”. All of the The early Christian theologians saw the New Covenant in Christ as a replacement for the Mosaic Covenant for most of the last hundreds of years. The New Israel includes the Jews and the Christian Church as one body.
The following is a letter Albert Einstein sent to the New York Times in 1948, protesting the visit of Menachem Begin. It is clear when reading this personal view of Einstein’s, written at the time of Israel’s formation, that his remarks about Jewish Zionist Terrorists are more harsh and pointed than anything written by today’s journalists. After seeing the world emerge from the Holocaust, Einstein was sickened by the exact same politics that continue to violate the rights of all non-Jews in the Holy Land.
PM’s Jewish pitch hits a new low, critics say. Tory flyer suggests Liberals are anti-Semitic.  “It is the lowest that I have seen in all of my experience on Parliament Hill. … Nobody could have ever imagined that the Prime Minister of Canada and a Conservative party could stoop this low. It’s the worst of the worst,” Toronto Liberal MP Joe Volpe (Eglinton-Lawrence).  “This is totally misleading, it’s false … and it basically seeks to associate the Liberal party with anti-Semitism. This is shocking … this has no place in Canadian politics,”   Montreal Liberal MP Irwin Cotler, who is Jewish, said.–pm-s-jewish-pitch-hits-a-new-low-critics-say
“The Liberal party has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the state of Israel since 1948 and to assert otherwise is outrageous,” he said. “They’re sending this into ridings with Jewish communities, they’re sending it into ridings represented by MPs who happen to be Jewish and they’re making outrageous allegations about the party” Michael Ignatieff WHO  jumped all over a Tory flyer suggesting the Official Opposition is anti-Israel.  The two-page promotional piece chastises Ignatieff for past statements and links the Liberals to anti-Semitic positions. It also accuses the Liberals of participating in a United Nations anti-racism conference that degenerated into an anti-Israeli “hatefest” and being soft on Hezbollah and Hamas. The Conservatives also question Ignatieff’s support for Israel, referring to comments the Liberal leader made following the 2006 war in Lebanon accusing Israel of war crimes. Winnipeg South Centre MP Anita Neville, who is Jewish, said the flyer is a scurrilous misrepresentation of the facts. “I find it demeaning of a government and of a prime minister. It’s part of this ‘divide and conquer’, narrow-edged politics that he does,” said Neville.  “I’m offended by it personally and collectively on behalf of the Liberal party. It is full of blatant misinformation and lies.”
Another false Conservative diversionary smoke and mirror approach by Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his thugs, who did not object to the Christians in Lebanon being murdered though by Israel. Pointing out rightfully Israel war crimes is not being anti Semitic too. Harper knows that many  Jews have supported the Liberals cause Liberals rightfully support the Jews right to exists.  I too cannot endorse separating any ethnic or religious group in order to leverage political support. Harper also is playing a dangerous game, the number of voting Muslims in Canada exceeds the number of Jews
A new page in Conservative narrow-casting has the Liberals crying foul.   Using the free-mail privileges of MPs, the Conservatives are sending out flyers to ridings with large Jewish communities, arguing they are committed to Canada’s Jewish Community and the Liberals are not.  The leaflets argue the Conservatives have done more to fight anti-Semitism abroad, fight terrorism and support Israel than the Liberals. It asks recipients, “Who is on the right track to represent and defend the values of Canada’s Jewish Community,” and to choose the answer from the names of the four major-party leaders.  So far, according to Liberals, they have been spotted in mailboxes in four opposition-held ridings, all of which have large Jewish populations: Montreal’s Outremont and Pierrefonds-Dollard ridings, and Toronto’s Eglinton-Lawrence, and Winnipeg South Centre. In political parlance, that’s called narrow-casting: aiming a message at one community or demographic, rather than the population art large. “I think it is the most scandalous and scurrilous misuse I’ve ever seen of parliamentary privilege and taxpayers’ dollars, to divide a community and to pit one community against another,” said Liberal Joe Volpe, the MP for Eglinton-Lawrence.  Labelling the Liberals, including Jewish MPs who have spent their careers fighting anti-Semitism like Irwin Cotler, as “willing participants” in anti-Semitism is outrageous, he said.  He noted that the leaflet says Liberals asked for Hezbollah to be de-listed as a terrorist organization when it was a former Liberal government that put the organization on the terror list; the fact that a Liberal MP “mused” that it might be de-listed does not make that the Liberal Party’s position, Mr. Volpe argued
One inappropriate graffiti on a Jewish Center wall in Calgary Alberta makes the national news of Canada.. many Palestinian homes torn down in Israel makes very little news, What real unacceptable Hypocrisy. Peace in the middle east is never possible but it is not just the Arabs but the Jews themselves clearly who are part of the unacceptable problem. None of this is politically correct.

Call it a hate crime, Jewish lobby asks  Globe and Mail –  Calgary – – From Wednesday’s Globe and Mail Published on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 12:00AM EST Last updated on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 3:47AM EST Bernie Farber, the head of the Canadian Jewish Congress, has written to Calgary’s police chief demanding
I do believe some persons are wrongfully deliberate racists and they should be punished for it. Many persons are unintentionally racists and often they see the false racist act of others and become accomplices rather in the matter by not speaking out against it. Some persecution in life is unavailable it seems. But nevertheless it is also true that if a person wants to have friend, they must work at it, they must show themselves friendly, and personal friendship costs some sacrifices too, friendship and respect are generally not automatic, they have to be earned it seems as well. But we must all have enforced human rights, the right to education, to live, to work, freedom to speak and to be heard, freedom of religion as well..

US ‘dismayed’ by Israel’s new settlements in Jerusalem – The White House has said it is dismayed by Israel’s decision to build new settler homes in Jerusalem saying it makes it harder to kick-start the peace talks.

Israel’s settlement expansion in Jerusalem is illegal: EU   STOCKHOLM, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) — The European Union (EU) expressed its dismay on Wednesday for Israel’s decision on the expansion of the settlement of Gilo in East Jerusalem. “The presidency recalls that settlement activities, house demolitions and evictions in East Jerusalem are illegal under international law,” Sweden, which is current rotating presidency of the EU, said a statement.Full story

UN chief deplores Israel’s decision to expand settlement in East Jerusalem  UNITED NATIONS, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) — UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Tuesday deplored Israel’s decision to expand Gilo settlement, built on Palestinian territory occupied by Israel in the 1967 war, a statement issued by his spokesperson said.  Reiterating his opposition that “settlements are illegal,” Ban called on Israel to respect its commitments under the Road Map to cease all settlement activity, including natural growth. AP JERUSALEM — Israel’s hawkish Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again ignored US calls to halt settlements, as the Palestinian leadership, backed by its Arab allies, demand a halt as a condition for talks.  Israel broke ground on a new housing complex for Jews in east Jerusalem on Wednesday, brushing off President Barack Obama’s criticism that construction in the disputed part of the holy city undermines efforts to relaunch Mideast peace talks. The groundbreaking came a day after Israel defied American, European and Palestinian demands to stop settlement activity by announcing it will press forward with construction of 900 apartments in another Jewish area in east Jerusalem. Obama criticized the plan to build hundreds of homes in Jerusalem’s Gilo neighborhood, saying such moves make it harder to achieve peace in the region and embitter the Palestinians in a way he said could be dangerous. The Palestinians claim the West Bank and east Jerusalem — areas captured by Israel in the 1967 Mideast war — for their hoped-for state and have refused negotiations until Israel stops settlement construction in these areas. The Palestinians say the continued growth of settlements on land they claim will make it impossible for them to establish a viable country of their own. Israel plans to build 900 new homes in Gilo, one of a dozen Jewish settlements in the eastern part of the Holy City, which Israel has annexed in a move not recognized by the international community.

Israel clearly does not want to negotiate peace, it prefers more land conquest by wars…

Historically, Canada’s Jewish voters have stood with the Liberal party, voting for it at a rate 20 per cent higher than the national average during the 1970s. However, that support fell to 8 to 10 per cent above the average in the years leading up to Harper’s first minority government in 2006.
I really do disagree we should run away from our persecutors, or the bullies, I do instead believe with my whole heart we should stand up against them, yell rape for the whole world to hear and call the police, report it to  the government, and I do practice it too.Beware always of men and women, bullies, tormentors, control freaks, persons, civil and public servants, politicians, pastors, leaders, elders, who falsely do, will try to enslave you, oppress you, exploit you even while they claim they are proclaiming the truth, democracy, trying to help you, etc.,

Is 51:23 ..your tormentors {and} oppressors, those who said to you, Bow down, that we may ride {or} tread over you; and you have made your back like the ground and like the street for them to pass over.

MAD, QUITE MAD is what you will be if you give yourself over to the views, advice domination of others. Better learn how to hear God’s voice, and accept his guidance, and be free from the depressors.

(Lev 25:10 KJV) And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.(Psa 119:45 KJV) And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

30 percent of the people I meet daily in real life are the bad guys that jails exist for still too.. and they should be put in there often too. Now in Canada even I am very used to people the much too many Bullies who try to falsely dominate you, and these bullies go overboard in their reactions when you expose the truth about them and others especially when their pet idols, or careers are threatened. Me I am still rightfully actively resistant to all of the abusers, bullies, liars, even to the Church, GOVERNMENTAL, CORPORATE, POLICE oppressions still too.

I clearly do believe in the right of everyone to speak, to speak out as well, and to be equally heard by all, so we can all judge what has been said if it is appropriate and we can next corresponding act upon it, even in the church, in the government, on the internet now too. Clearly some people falsely DO DISALLOW THIS RIGHT… the bad persons especially as even I know this for sure. They respond with a personal attack, inquisition, censorship, lies, slanders, diversions, distortions, instead of facing, dealing with the facts, truths being presented. Confirming to many what they still are really like, immoral, abusive bullies.

When I see this kind of unacceptable personal behavior I too do not accept it but do loudly object to it to all and do ask these hate mongrels be immediately fired, put in jail as well. No matter who they are now too.

(Isa 61:1 KJV) The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (Jer 34:8 KJV) This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them;(Jer 34:15 KJV) And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:

(Jer 34:16 KJV) But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids.

(Jer 34:17 KJV) Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth..

If we are honest with ourselves, we might admit that such authoritarianism abuses even may exist in our own backyards.

Sometimes this false domination attempt is subtle and other time it is blatant. A yoke in the OT could mean bondage, enslavement or servitude to another leader other than God. God breaks the yoke of bondage from the enemy so we can be yoked to him.

I still cannot help but notice that a certain segment of every society, bad self-righteous persons who to compensate for their poor self image, poor self worth, or even an over inflated ego, self worth they in a sinful pride too they do try to put others under their sinful bondage, even to still wrongfully deny their human rights and their equal rights of free speech, to equally express themselves, to be equally heard too..

The Exodus account describes the condition of Israel, which God saw and knew, and out of which Israel cried to God, because of their bondage – enslavement – slavery AND YET ONE CANNOT BUT NOTICE HOW THEY WERE ALSO NEXT SO READY TO ENSLAVE THEIR FELLOW BROTHERS AND GOD WAS REALLY UPSET AT THIS.

Leviticus, 25:39 If your brother becomes impoverished with regard to you so that he sells himself to you, you must not subject him to slave service. 25:40 He must be with you as a hired worker, as a resident foreigner; he must serve with you until the year of jubilee, 25:41 but then he may go free, he and his children with him, and may return to his family and to the property of his ancestors. 25:42 Since they are my servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt, they must not be sold in a slave sale. 25:43 You must not rule over him harshly, but you must fear your God.

I have always wondered besides Satan himself as to the original source of this perverse, degenerated human domination attitude, unacceptable abuse, approach. This enslavement attempt occurs too often now too now even not just in the despotic churches, despotic governments, despotic police, in the civil and public services, but it is carried out even by so so called professionals in corporations, schools, universities too where these control freaks, bullies, slave drivers do want to dominate falsely their wills and desires upon others.

But I know clearly that the solution to this approach is public exposure of the abusers in a very loud voice so everyone can hear about it too. For God himself still does not accept these abuses for sure. I have also learned a long time ago that public exposure and prosecution of the abusers serves everyone’s best interests,

    Who you calling an anti-Semite?

The Conservatives circulated fliers that claim the Liberals don’t support Israel, but such outrageous claims couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Hell was meant for the devil and his angels but man chose to go there, because he has a free will, cause he does not serve God fully, because he has his own false religion ,falsie beliefs he does not want to Gove up, too lazy to study the Bible firsthand, even  cause he seeks the praises of mere men over God now too…” indicates they still most likely are not Christians.. these sad   dispensationalists included now..

There is no New Testament verse even indicating that the   old Jerusalem will or has to be rebuild  or it’s Jewish temple, or even now next one day  Jerusalem will be the center of the world,  or that the Jews were  going to, or should  return after the Romans kicked them out of the land of Israel in 70 ad. before Jesus Christ’s return.. this is only a Jewish Myth. Prove me wrong, show me the New testament Verses?
Christians are not to be praying for a temple  in Jerusalem anymore as..
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1 Corinthians 6: 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
2 Corinthians 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Jesus still had said  Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
Luke 13:35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
    Hebrews 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Acts 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.
Galatians 4:27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
Many people falsely quote no inapplicable old Testament verses and try to make them applicable today.. in particular to Israel. but Israel is no longer a Chosen people.. Our main attention is not on pray all Jews Go back to Israel, or rebuilding the city of Jerusalem or it’s obsolete temple but rather still praying all Jews become seabed.. and our main attention should ne now on helping all Christians firstly, even those in Palestine, Lebanon, Pakistan, India, Syria Egypt etc.,
Salvation by the lordship of Jesus Christ now is needed for all unsaved persons, Jews, gentiles. It is not enough to merely accept that Jesus Christ is God as the devil believes that now also so what? he is still going to hell. Now the Messianic Jews believes in Jesus Christ the messiah, but so what they all will mostly God to hell cause they are unwilling to become real full Christians, unwilling to give up the Torah as well, to make Jesus Christ the sole Lord in their life, and not any Laws rather too.. .. so they too now are still counted rightfully as lost, unsaved person..
as to the Jews, Arabs, None of them are politically correct. Many true evangelicals do now support a two-state solution and creation of a new Palestinian state that includes the vast majority of the West Bank. They support justice for both Israelis and Palestinians. If all of the learned men are going to be truly historically honest, surely they must admit that the Jews have every right to inhabit the land of their fathers, the covenant land given to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob by none other than God himself and admit that right was the same God who took them next away from that land now twice too… THE NEW TESTAMENT DOES NOT talk about the Jews return next to it too. But God still wants the Jews and Palestinians brothers to live in peace together.
1 Corinthians 5”5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Proverbs 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.
Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Mark 1:25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
     Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
1 Timothy 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
1 Timothy 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
    Titus 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
Titus 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Too Many people write half truths, these half truths still do not make liars into honest men..
So far nothing has caused me to change my views on the subject. I still am too often asked to take sides in false disputes such as the religious wars between the non Pentecostals and the Pentecostals, or the ongoing wars between the Jews and Arabs, or between the Liberals or Conservatives.. or the too often wars  between spouses  and/or the  relatives  for they  too often for me both sides are now still extremes, in the wrong.. I rightfully do still prefer to choose the road of peace and thus support none of these bad guys still. It all now still reminds me of the little children and their immature behavior where one says to another play only with  me and not with the other person!

And the spin doctors in Israel, Jewish supporters are hard at work  justifying all of their actions, the good and the bad ones. I too do tend to get quickly upset about lying pastors, bad Ministers and visible injustice, so much I rightfully to cannot shut up about it.
I am clearly a Democrat- Liberal Party supporter over supporting the Conservative Party and I still do rightfully believe in God, but I gave up supporting the lying, hypocritical, Pharisaical Conservative party. It was also very clear to me that Sarah Palin’s family did not live what she herself had preached to the others too.

Allowing the RCMP, cops to use the Internet to spy on anyone makes an unacceptable police state

When you honestly use your own almost non existent right of free speech to point out to the cops how bad they really are, one of the first stages of their personal grief is their  false denial, they need professional help here  too, and they response you are crazy, this diversion tactic does not change how bad they are, how too lazy they are to change themselves now too. Police like to label, bash others as criminals, but as uncorrectable persons, but when they do they same thing, they claim they can be retrained, corrected, such hypocrites they now are as well. One of the first things the police do about their accuser is to harass them, pay them back, investigate the accuser and not the complaint now too. I have been too often falsely police harassed myself.
Allowing the police who falsely too generally are still accountable to no one  to conduct internet surveillance without oversight is the beginning of a police state controlled by the party in power and we should have none of it. What we firstly do  need to set up an independent citizen based police review boards to handle all of the police complaints, honestly and fairly Canada wide now too. The Police are far from being angels as we all can know, the RCMP included.
Imagine this the new email programs inluding windows live and google mail  are now all designed to keep all youir emails on an exterior server for 30 days so the cops can read and access them at any time. The cops reading your email and seeing what you do on the net next as well.. a clear police state.

The current Public Safety Minister, Peter Van Loan, is allowing the police to get unfettered internet surveillance by the police. Last June, he tabled a “lawful access” bill that establishes new surveillance requirements for Internet service providers, and it also features mandatory disclosure of customer information, including name, address, IP address and e-mail address merely upon request and without court oversight. This is rightfully and totally unacceptable.

The Customs Act gives Canada’s border officers authority to examine people’s personal baggage and goods whether they are arriving or departing from Canada, including scrutiny of electronic devices. “Officers are trained to search electronic media for child pornography, obscene material and hate propaganda,” Border officers have powers of arrest, detention and search and seizure, as well as the authority to take breath and blood samples, issue arrest warrants and operate detention facilities for immigrants. But   the border agency has no independent watchdog to investigate public complaints.

VANCOUVER, B.C. – The lawyer for Robert Dziekanski’s mother says the B.C. government should replace the RCMP with a provincial police force.  Dziekanski died nearly two years ago at Vancouver’s airport after he was shocked with a Taser by four Mounties.  In his final submission at a public inquiry into the death, lawyer Walter Kosteckyj says the RCMP acts as the provincial police force in British Columbia, but doesn’t want to be held accountable to the provincial legislature.  The RCMP officers themselves have claimed the provincial inquiry has no jurisdiction over them.  And Kosteckyj says the government of Canada will make the same argument in its final submissions this week.  He says that’s undemocratic, and the only solution is to stop using the Mounties in B.C. and instead create a province-wide force.
VANCOUVER, B.C. – At best, the four RCMP officers who confronted Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver’s airport and stunned him several times with a Taser panicked, the lawyer for Robert Dziekanski’s mother told the public inquiry into his death Monday.  At worst, they arrived with a plan to use what amounted to excessive force, Walter Kosteckyj said in his final submission to the inquiry.  Either way, the Mounties failed to live up to their training and the law, he said.  “The Tasering of Mr. Dziekanski at its best would be characterized as a premature, hurried and panicked response, and at the worst was a premeditated and planned attack,” Kosteckyj said  Kosteckyj said the officers acted improperly from the moment they entered the airport, not taking time to assess the situation or communicate with Dziekanski, and resorting to the Taser within seconds of approaching the man.  Despite the officers’ claims to the contrary, Kosteckyj said the swiftness of their response suggests they approached Dziekanski already planning to use the stun gun. Kosteckyj spent more than 10 minutes listing discrepancies, including the Mounties’ repeated assertions that Dziekanski stood through the Taser jolts, had to be tackled to the ground, and was coming at the officers yelling with his hands above his head when the Taser was fired.  And he said airport officials made the “unconscionable” decisions not to call the facility’s own firefighters after Dziekanski was stunned and to not bring an automatic defibrillator to the scene despite a standing policy to do so.
Can you belive it the number of bad mounties who are still allowed to keep their jobs.. If we did some thing  bad a work we all  would have been fired a long time ago..

Poland disappointed with lack of charges in taser case Globe and Mail   Poland remains disappointed that no criminal charges were laid against four Mounties who tasered Robert Dziekanski, suggesting video footage of the 2007 incident encourages an instinctive reaction that “wrong-doers be made accountable through criminal …

Not just in Churches, amongst the police, politicians, civil and public servants, but I have never seem so many lying, mental people in one place like I have amongst the medical workers I have dealt with this year in  in Hospitals, convalescent, old age homes who really do delude themselves too often about their self importance and the positive role they are functioning in.  When a  professional cannot see what they are doing now is simply  so wrong they themselves do now need real professional help too.
The People who lie often, the  professionals now included, they tend to have severe personal,  mental disorders next cause one tends to eventually believe next ones lies as being the truth, and they can no no longer differentiate their own lies from reality, the truth.
Narcissistic, selfish, self centered  Mental Disorders too evident now even in many of the so called medical Professionals leads  these persons to  dwell in self-absorption, fantasy, illusion, where she or he has exaggerated claims to talents, importance, or specialness,  manifesting evidence  of a need for constant admiration from others,  a lack of empathy for all others, persistent in this too,  have rigid personality traits and coping styles, clearly  inflexible, do show a  hypersensitivity to any criticism , defeat or  negative realities thus they rather  are pathological in  denial by the their falsity, contrived replacement of the truths which they still must  face eventually .  These SEVERE PERSONALITY disorders are generally personally ongoing too leading to more impaired social and/or occupational functioning and can make it difficult to pinpoint a clear dividing line between their  pathology and their so called normality. Most of these people with their personality disorders may not perceive that there is anything wrong with their behavior and thus they are not motivated to change it. It is important to note that these  personality disorders are considered to have their onset in late adolescence or early adulthood and they alone are responsible for it too.
Denial, it is very very common when many an individual, even amongst so called professionals, even in pastors now included,  are openly confronted with their own wrong doings, that they resort to a false denial. When confronted with the truth the denier they  often respond with a similar personal counter attack remark as   ”you are crazy”.  “I reject your reality… and substitute my own.”  Their false denial, diversion, distortion does not change the negative reality about themselves still though.  Sadly it is a negative natural human tendency to devolve into denial.”    It’s not just a moral compass that’s lacking, but the ability to honest, or to stand apart. Denial often comes out of a false pride, a fear of being openly exposed as being wrong. Denial is a false convenient escape, excuse for inaction  for persons now  facing a situation that requires a decision or action that conflicts with his or her established past policy. Denial too often can be  further disastrous upon themselves and others.. for denial is not seeing data at all or seeing it and coming to an erroneous conclusion within oneself. One’s false denial is often based on a false assumption  of one’s past great success and often precedes their own severe personal failure next due to a personal disconnect with real life. Illustrated fully by the story of the Emperor with new clothes.
Denial (also called abnegation) is a defense mechanism postulated by Sigmund Freud, in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence, a mechanism of the immature mind that conflicts with the ability to learn from and cope with reality. The subject may now deny the reality of the unpleasant fact altogether (simple denial), admit the fact but deny its seriousness (minimization) or admit both the fact and seriousness but deny responsibility (transference). The concept of denial is particularly related to the denial of one’s addiction to alcohol for example, or to one slandering others, abusing them stealing, lying.. their denial or their  minimization of their own wrong doings is the  essential part of what enables them next to to continue his or her behavior in the face of evidence that, to an outsider, that is   overwhelming.   “The American Heart Association cites denial as a principal reason that treatment of a heart attack is delayed. Because the symptoms are so varied, and often have other potential explanations, the opportunity exists for the patient to deny the emergency, often with fatal consequences. It is common for patients to delay mammograms or other tests because of a fear of cancer, even though this is clearly maladaptive.”

Types of Denial include now the Denial of fact: This form of denial is where someone avoids a fact by lying. This lying can take the form of an outright falsehood (commission), leaving out certain details in order to tailor a story (omission), This form of denial involves avoiding personal responsibility by blaming, minimizing or justifying.   Denial of responsibilityDenial of impact: avoiding thinking about or understanding the harms their behavior have caused to themselves or others.  Denial of awareness: they do not admit any previous awareness of the negative reality.  Denial of cycle: Denial of cycle is where a person avoids looking at their decisions leading up to an event or does not consider their pattern of decision making and how harmful behavior is repeated. Denial of denial:  This latter form of denial typically overlaps with all of the other forms of denial, but involves more self-delusion. People in a false denial are really nuts, delusional..

There are tools and practices that we can implement to overcome the psychological trap of denial. Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty is one of the best approach serving everyone’s best interest too. It is a clearly established fact with good basis as to why our Canadian leaders, politicians, police, military, public and civil servants  who are always to be exemplary are even personally are to held to a higher standard, accountability in reality.

You see I can tell the truth cause I do not have a boss, I  am not an ass kisser, I am not running for any office, or selling anything, I am not hiding anything , I  am nothing but an ordinary honest, mature, decent  person.

    Insuring adequate Consumer protection

Insuring Canadian Business Profitability By Having Adequate Consumer Protection  do see also
I write Honestly, fairly even to be a free service too all the consumers, citizens of Canada
Since June 1999 all but most serious misleading advertising cases will now be pursued in civil proceedings by the Commissioner in the Competition Tribunal, the Federal Court, or Provincial Superior Courts. “Available remedies will include prohibition orders, corrective notices and administrative monetary penalties (up to &100,000.00 for first time corporate offenders). Criminal prosecution remains an option in serious cases. Recent amendments to the Act have resulted in a fundamental change to the misleading advertising provisions of the Act. Prior to the amendments, misleading advertising and deceptive marketing practices were strict liability criminal offences under the Act. With the amendments, a non-criminal regime in respect of deceptive marketing practices has been created which is intended to ensure more effective enforcement and compliance. Accordingly, following passage of these amendments, criminal prosecution is still possible where there is “clear and compelling” evidence that the accused knowingly or recklessly made, or permitted to be made, a false or misleading representation to the public. As a result of these amendments, most of the deceptive marketing practices that were previously subject to criminal prosecution under the Act (e.g., misleading advertising, unsubstantiated claims or warranties, misleading ordinary price claims, bait and switch selling, sales above advertised price) will now be treated as reviewable conduct. The Commissioner’s decision to proceed under either the civil or criminal enforcement regime will preclude him from proceeding under the other regime.”
Hey we have often heard the lying spin doctors telling us that Canada is about to recover  economically.. with distorted facts..  I have often wondered how many of these persons now have had any valid real business experiences firstly ..
Now actually I have done a significant amount of  mostly free business consulting regard to Computers, Sales, Marketing, Employee management structures, styles, programs  to many a problemed small businesses in Alberta too.  Don’t get me started on the owner’s bad personnel management styles which leads next to 40 percent of the employees stealing from their firm and/or sabotaging the overall productivity of the firm too..
    – The first thing that often grasped me with any new business that I had now visited  was the owners. managers unrealistic expectation of profitability based on their own  doing very little real work input. They too often think that being an owner, having a place, a product, an accountant and a few employees will guarantee to generate them loads of money.. so 50 percent of all business fail, go bankrupt in  the first two years and many that remain sadly often have resorted to fraud, theft, lying, price gouging too?
    – I have also  often been amazed as to how many of the business owners think that because they have not made as much money as they had expected that they can merely double, or increase the price on their products and recapture their lost profits. Amazing how many stupid business persons actually do believe this and practice this as well now too.. They treat the majority of the customers as ignorant, stupid persons.. Who is being stupid but the business owners, managers now rather. .
    – What also amazes me is the gross, immoral price mark ups on the products being sold  by many major retail chains now as well.  Going to the dollar store  rather now tends often to upset me.. I can often find items at 1 or 2 dollars that I have seen at 8 to 20 dollars elsewhere. I bought a baseball cap for 15 dollars only to see next the same cap sold next for 2 dollars at Dollarma. I recently saw a hand bag for sale for 14.50 dollars at the Rossy department store that sells at $1.50 at Dollarama. And I can go on and on here too about this at Wal-Mart, Rona, Reno, Zellers, Canadian Tire, etc.
What too many business Owners fail to realize, GM included,  is that the customers tend to  have only so much allotted money, and so you can fleece, gouge them a few times but next you the business owner  will really have to go elsewhere to find new customers, and that is always  a very costly approach. Most customers are not loyal and will really find better prices elsewhere too.  Sales and advertising, marketing programs are never cheap.. it would have been better, cheaper, more profitable  to have given the customers a fair price originally and encouraged their repeat business.. but the rather too often greedy, stupid managers refuse to do this and to lose their jobs often next as a result too. It seems both the citizens and consumers need to be protected from this bad manager. Greed is a self destructive mechanism that we all do need protection from.

Insurance and Consumer Protection: Insurance: Insurance comes in many different forms, but it is essentially a contract between the company and the consumer. In addition to consumer protection laws, many states have extensive statutes to protect consumers when dealing with insurance. These statutes often prohibit insurance companies from acting unfairly, or that require them to pay claims quickly. For example, in 2007, Washington State passed the Insurance Fair Conduct Act. It forbids insurance companies from (1) misrepresentation of policy provisions, (2) failure to acknowledge pertinent communications, (3) failing to promptly investigate claims, and (4) failing to promptly make fair and equitable settlements. If an insurance company violates these provisions, a court may award up to three times the actual damages suffered.
In case of any dispute, complaints, Always Open a file, or notebook, in writing to keep track of all your information. letters, correspondences. Don’t Delay: Find out all possible deadlines in your case and the statute of limitations. Be prepared to negotiate: Do not exaggerate or inflate your claim. If you are caught at it, you may have committed fraud, and at worse could go to jail, and at the least, you have ruined your claim.
7 ways you can protect yourself as a consumer:
1 Keep your personal information quiet. If you didn’t call a company for a specific purpose, don’t give out personal information. Be wary when you do call and the other person asks for your Social Security Number. Usually, there is some other way for account verification. At the very least, ask that you be allowed to provide only the last four digits of your Social Security Number. The same thing is true of bank account numbers. And never, ever put personal financial information in an email — especially in response to a request.
2 Make sure you understand what you are agreeing to. This means you need to read the fine print. And you need to make sure that you know exactly what the terms of any loan, contract or other agreement are. If you aren’t sure, take the time to hire a professional to look it over. $200 for a lawyer to review the document is worth it — especially if it turns out you could be on the hook for thousands more than you thought.
3 If it’s too good to be true… This is the cardinal law of consumer protection. If something just doesn’t seem right, it probably isn’t. If the deal is way too good to pass up, you probably should consider passing it up.
4 Protect yourself online. You need to make sure that you have protection on your computer. Antivirus software is helpful, as is a firewall. There are other protections available as well. Additionally, make sure that you are careful about secure sites. Make sure that the sites really are secure, and that they are valid. Logout and close the browser window when you are checking account balances or making monetary transactions. Change your passwords regularly, and make sure they are a strong combination of upper and lower case letters, and numbers.
5 Shred documents. If it has an account number, shred it. If it is an offer of credit, shred it. The trash is one of the easiest places for fraudsters to get your personal information.
6 Double check prices. Is it really a bargain? Is it really a sale? Do you really need it now? One of the oldest tricks in the book is to call something a sale when it really isn’t. Double check. And look online. But beware of online prices as well: You might end up with damaged goods. Or nothing at all.
7 Know your rights. Consumers should know their rights. Laws have been passed to protect you with regard to electronic transactions, as well as to protect you from harassment from debt collectors. Know and understand your rights — and don’t be afraid to openly fight for them.

The Consumer protection laws  prohibit unfair commercial practices between traders and consumers through five general prohibitions:-

    • General Prohibition on Unfair Commercial Practices
    • Prohibition on Misleading Actions (2) A commercial practice is misleading if   (a) if it contains false information and is therefore untruthful in relation to any of the matters   or if it or its overall presentation in any way deceives or is likely to deceive the average consumer in relation to any of the matters in that paragraph, even if the information is factually correct; and(b) it causes or is likely to cause the average consumer to take a transactional decision he would not have taken otherwise.
    • Prohibition on Misleading Omissions
    • Prohibition on Aggressive Commercial Practices
    • Prohibition on   Specific Commercial Practices that are in all Circumstances Unfair
    • One of the  commercial practices which are in all circumstances considered unfair is “falsely claiming that a product is able to cure illnesses, dysfunction or malformations”. The definition of “product”  includes services,  all forms medical products and treatments are covered.

The Consumer protection laws are very powerful in principle, But there are  complications in real practice.

One complication concerns the extent to which the onus has been moved on to the seller to prove the claims are true, rather than the accuser having to prove they are false. The law is a lot more favourable to the accuser than before, but it’s still complicated.  One may agrgue  “He doesn’t have to refute anything! The prosecution have to prove the claims are false”. “or what evidence is required to demonstrate that any  claim  is false “beyond reasonable doubt” in court.”

The other complication concerns real enforcement of the   laws, and at the moment that is often non existent. really bad.  Nevertheless, enforcement is undoubtedly a weak point at the moment. The government is obliged to enforce these laws, but at the moment it is not doing so effectively. Governments are obliged not only to enact it as national legislation but to enforce it. The evidence that the government has provided adequate resources for enforcement, in the form of staff and their proper training, is often not convincing. Either they will need more people and more training,  or responsibility for enforcement of the law should be transferred to some more appropriate agency.  All citizens have the right to complain to all, the news media included,  if their government fails to provide their protection. The media,   are replete with details of inadequate health care, and inadequate consumer protection.

-Statute of limitations: Put simply, the statute of limitations is a time limit upon for you file a lawsuit. If suit is not filed by that date, then you are forever barred from bring suit.  Also you need to be real careful to know when the statute of limitations begins running. If you are dealing with an insurance company who has promised to pay your damages, make sure that they are not stalling you to let the statute of limitations run on your case.
    – Contract law disputes  Most people think a contract is a written document. A legally binding contract is both simpler and more complicated. First of all, for there to be a contract no writing is required. An verbal agreement between two people is a contract. Classic contract law would say that there must be an agreement between two parties for which a specific consideration is exchanged.  A person says said “if you paint my aprtement, I will pay you $1,000.” Now , there would be consideration, and if a person completes job, he or she is entitled to the money. Next when in a court room, it can be difficult, if not impossible to prove, a contract that is not in writing without a witness. Thus, its important to try to get all agreements down to a writing when you can. It is also a good idea, because when a contract is written, the parties are better able to understand what everybody’s obligations are. Further, some contracts required by law to be in writing. They are usually contracts to buy real estate, a contract that would take more that a year to complete, and some contracts over a certain amount of money,
Illegal and Unenforceable contracts: If a contract has an illegal purpose it will be unenforceable in court. Obvious examples would be contracts for to sell illegal drugs or transfer illegal aliens across the border, but there are unenforceable contracts that may not be so obvious. One would be an agreement to work below minimum wage. Such would be a violation.
Warranties: in some consumer transactions, the law imposes “warranties” by the seller. A warranty is roughly a guaranty that product sold has certain properties. The  law says that when goods are sold, they have three warranties: (1) warranty of merchantability, (2) the warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, and (3) warranty of title.

Fraud: To have a case for fraud, you usually have to prove that the defendant made a (1) false statement, (2) that they knew it was false, (3) that the fact was material (which is a legal way of saying significant), and (4) you relied upon that fact to your detriment (which is another way of saying you were hurt because you believed it to be true).

Contract Warranties and Ways Out of a Contract

Merchantability: is a warranty that the goods are what they claim to be based upon a “reasonable” buyers expectations. Thus, if you buy a box of ties, it suppose to be a box of ties, and not a box of socks. In some states, the seller can disclaim the warranties by selling the items “as is.”

Fitness for a particular purpose: when you buy goods with a particular purpose, and express that to the seller, it is implied that they are fit for that purpose. Another way to put that is if you order a snow board and tell the shop you want a snow board, and they send you a surf board, they’ve breached the warranty.

Title: This is simply a warranty that the seller has the right to sell the goods to you. If your sold stolen goods or goods that don’t belong to the seller, then he’s broken this warranty.

Ways to Get out of Contract: generally speaking contracts should not be broken. If contract is “breached,” which means one or both parties did not due what they agreed to, then the other party can sue for the “benefit of the bargain” as damages. However, there are some ways to get out of a contract:

    1. By agreement: the parties can agree to void the contract, or “tear it up” themselves. They would both have to agree to do so. If one party says its void, or tears it up himself, he is in breach. Sometimes the best solution for both parties is to agree to forego the contract.

Example: buyer buys car from used car lot. The buyer finds some things wrong with the car, the dealer claims the agreement was “as is,” but the buyer says that he was told there was nothing wrong with the car. Buyer says he is going to sue. At this point, before the parties get

into a protracted suit, the seller says just bring it back, and he refunds his buyers money. In this case, they can agree to forego a contract. However, if seller stuck to his contract, the buyer may have to pay all under the contract. The buyer may have a consumer protection case, or some other case, but the seller would have a breach of contract case against him.

    2. Misrepresentation: A misrepresentation is a lie made by the seller to the buyer that was relied upon by the buyer in agreeing to the contract. Usually, you have to prove that the misrepresentation was material. Examples might be that “this car has only 10,000 miles on it,” when in reality the odometer flipped once.

    3. Mistake: this usually applies when both buyer and seller in a contract are mistaken about what they are selling and buying. Neither one are making misrepresentations, its just that they are “mistaken” about the nature of what they are selling.

    4. Duress and Undue Influence: duress is basically the threat of force. Its when the godfather comes to with his armed thugs and says either your signature or your brain will be on this contract. Undue influence is similar, but its when some uses a “special relationship” to get a contract. This may be in guardian context, or parent and child relationship. A court might look at the agreement and allow a party to void it if there was undue influence used in getting an agreement.

    5. Incapacity: Contracts made with children are not enforceable against the children. Also, some people might have disability, or under some limited circumstances when the person was drunk when he entered the contract, it may be voided.

Misleading , false advertising is a very common consumer concern as well as price fixing, unfair and restrictive trade practises..

Misleading, False advertising is covered under the Competition Act  , the federal Competition Bureau as well the  Provincial  Ministry of Consumer and Business Services. File a complaint with both of them. Taking a complaint to the small claim courts can still also be time consuming, and cost prohibative,

As part of its goal to ensure consumers have competitive prices and product choice, the Competition Act prohibits a number of marketing practices.

    • Misleading advertising occurs when a claim about a product or service is materially false or misleading, in an attempt to persuade the consumer to buy it.
    • Double ticketing occurs when a seller puts two or more prices on a product or service, and the consumer is not charged the lowest price.
    • Pyramid selling is a multilevel marketing plan that uses certain specific deceptive means to obtain money (see “Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Selling Schemes“).
    • Bait and switch occurs when a seller attracts customers by advertising a certain product or service at a bargain price and then persuades the customer to purchase a more expensive item, since the seller does not have reasonable quantities of the advertised item in stock.

Consumers who make a purchase are also protected by laws that prohibit unfair or deceptive trade practices.

Consumers may complain to the Government of Canada about any of these practices even when they have no intention of buying the product. Consumers may contact the Competition Bureau to file a complaint or obtain additional information at 1-800-348-5358 or under the Enquiries and Complaints section. When the matter relates to labeling or advertising of food, contact the Canadian Food Inspection Agency at 1-800-442-2342. You may also contact your provincial or territorial consumer affairs office.

You may also complain to THE USLESS, PRETENTIOUS  Advertising Standards Canada about misleading advertising. This non-governmental body is made up of advertisers, representatives from advertising agencies and the media, and consumers. It PRETENDS IT  discourages false or misleading advertising by its members through codes of conduct.

Under the civil regime, a complaint must be lodged with the Commissioner of Competition in order to engage the process. A complaint may be lodged by: (a) calling the Competition Bureau at its toll-free telephone number (1-800-348-5358); or (b) registering a complaint over the Internet – by completing a confidential complaint/enquiry form.

More info- Canada’s Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA) – Canadian Consumer Handbook 2008-2009  This handbook offers tips, questions and advice on consumers’ rights, along with contacts for help with common problems.
If your call doesn’t produce satisfactory results, always do write a letter to someone higher up, such as the general manager or owner (see sample letter). Provide all the details of the problem and explain your efforts to resolve it. Ask for action. In the case of products, send a copy of your letter to the manufacturer, and be sure to keep a copy of it yourself.
In Canada it seems too  many people in big businesses, civil and public services, governments and churches now  too, they still do not act on many consumer complaint matters unbless it is undeniably in wrting with copies to many other persons too.. Many of the verbal, Phone complaints still tend to be filed in waste paper baskets.
If none of these steps work to your satisfaction, look through the directory of this Handbook, for government offices and consumer organizations that apply to your situation. If you don’t know where to start, call the government consumer affairs office where you live (also listed in the directory). Someone there will direct you to the right organization. Or, use the Complaint Courier to file your complaint online
Taking legal action should be your last choice. If you decide to sue, remember that there are often time limitations on filing lawsuits and costs. You may wish to check with a lawyer about the legal process and any limitations that may apply to your case in your province or territory. Strategies for Success.  A lawsuti against a corporation even if you wwin is often non enforceable..  you are better of starting to make it all public, going to the news media, giving them a real bad name that realy hurts their business.
Do not be afraid to complain. Good businesses will be pleased to correct any mistake on their part. They know that customer goodwill is the best form of advertising.
Always keep a file of important information related to your purchase, include the sales receipts, repair orders, warranties, cancelled cheques, contracts and any letters you have written to or received from the company concerned
Do not procrastinate. When a product is defective or unsatisfactory, it is important that you return it quickly so that you do not lose the right to get your money back or to collect damages in some cases. Always check the return policy before you buy.
The federal, provincial governments, the CRTC, Conservatives, Liberals  unfairly maintaining  archaic, monopolistic telecommunication firms, that are often   bloated, cost ineffective, incompetent, over staffed, un-competitively managed as well is the main reasons consumer costs falsely keep on going up now.

What to Do When You Have Complained Without Any Results?
If you feel you have given the company enough time and that your problem has not been resolved, send a copy of your complaint letter and copies of supporting documents (not originals) to, or file a consumer complaint with, your provincial or territorial consumer affairs office or Better Business Bureau (see the directory of this Handbook). If you use the Complaint Courier ( it will give you the option to automatically forward your complaint to the appropriate government office.
    Small Claims Court
Small claims court can be an informal and relatively inexpensive way to resolve disputes when the amount involved is less than $3,000 or, in some provinces, up to $25,000. However, you will have to pay a fee to file a claim. Once the suit is launched, you may have costs for such things as serving orders, payments to witnesses and travel expenses.
You do not need a lawyer to go to small claims court, although in most provinces and territories the help of a lawyer is allowed. The court staff is experienced in helping consumers prepare the necessary forms, and the judges have the power to settle disputes. This court allows each side to explain its story and does not expect consumers to know legal technicalities.
For information on how to proceed, contact the small claims or provincial or territorial court nearest you (look in the government listings in your phone book). The websites of these courts also often list the procedures to follow and have copies of the forms you will need to complete.
    Class Action Suits
The purpose of a class action is to permit a large number of individuals who have suffered similar losses or injuries to band together in an attempt to recover damages.
This means that individuals who might not be able to afford to sue on their own can act with others in the same situation against the same defendant. All the participants in the class action suit share both the costs and the outcome.
With a class action, consumers with legitimate cases can afford what could otherwise be an expensive legal procedure. Currently, class actions are only allowed in some provinces in Canada. There are a number of steps to a class action, including having the suit certified by a court in order for it to proceed. Seeking advice from a lawyer on the process and the costs involved is a good first step.
This site is designed for easy navigation and features a powerful search engine capable of quickly finding very specific consumer information and associated contacts. The portal also offers you the Complaint Courier that gives fast and easy access to accurate, relevant and reliable consumer information, developed in the public interest. Information is gathered from partner departments and agencies of federal, provincial and territorial governments, and selected non-governmental organizations., an interactive tool to help consumers complain more effectively, and the Focus On section, which highlights supposedly timely consumer topics. If you believe everything they tell you.. you will likley be suckered again too.
Note this when it comes to the GOVERNMENTS, the civil and public services, organizations, etc., it still seems  they all now have learned to lie a lot, to pass THE BUCK,  TO TAKE THEIR TIME, TO MAKE FALSE PROMISES TOO, yes they encourage you to deal with them, and make promises to help you, but next generally they will do nothing good for you in reality… the number of consumers clients they have actually helped is dismal.. for they fail in dealing with at least half of the complaints just for a start.. so be open, loud and persitent now..
Canadian Consumer Handbook 2008-2009 Being a wise consumer means being informed
General Information How to Complain Effectively

Consumers are often faced with several challenges when they wish to complain about a product or service. A  resource to help you complain effectively is the Complaint Courier, which is featured at This powerful online tool provides instant access to the resources and expert advice you will need to navigate your way through the complaint process from start to finish, and explains how to make any type of complaint in a clear, organized and effective way. The following guidelines will also help you to complain more effectively.

    First Things First
Give the merchant the first chance to solve the problem. About 6 weeks.. First Contact the salesperson, retailer or business when you have a complaint about any goods or services you bought. When there is a complaints department, use it. When there isn’t, talk to someone in authority, such as a manager. A face-to-face discussion is best? Putting it all in wrting with copies to many others is better.. Be firm and businesslike, but polite. Calmly and accurately describe the problem and what you want the company to do to resolve it
If the problem is not resolved that way, ask for the telephone number of the company headquarters and contact the customer service department. Request specifics about how and when something will be done, and get the company representative’s name in case you have to refer to the conversation later. Write down any details of your complaint and keep them in a file. Make sure to date your notes..

I still do always measure actual results, performances by all professionals, the police and doctors included.. Now I have been to many medical clinics, doctors offices, emergency departments that were efficiently organized, they now gave what appeared to be an effective, but only a  superficial service,   next turned out to be mostly a pretentious, useless services.. a great example of this is my getting an x-ray done when you have major heart problems, which  is a waste of time and money firstly.. here too better, more real  diagnostic services here was,  is needed.. and we, I do not have to accept such poor services from any of our medical establishments now too. I clearly do always let them know of that too. Which reminds me I have been already waiting about 9 months for the Montreal General Hospital’s clinic to get back to me for an appointment about my knee problem now too.. this too is unacceptable , poor service.

PS When any Collection agencies, or executives phone me or write to me and threaten to sue me for my negative exposes, or me rightfully not paying them for their false breach of contract too, etc., I tell them to go ahead, they have been warned,  any further harassment me by phone or letter will be reported to the police next too rightfully too as a criminal act, an act of harassment, FOR EVEN ME, THE ORDINARY CITIZEN NOW STILL ALSO HAS HUMAN AND LEGAL RIGHTS IN CANADA

In Canada in the minority ruling conservative government

CANADA.flag“In Canada there appear to be different classes of citizens as far as the minority ruling conservative government is concerned. The latest example of this was the case of Suaad Hagi Mohamud, a 31-year-old Canadian woman of Somali origin. After visiting her sick mother in Nairobi, Kenya, she was prevented from boarding a KLM flight back to Toronto on May 17 that landed her in a filthy Kenyan jail. A Kenyan airport official alleged she did not look like her four-year-old passport photo; her glasses were different and her lips did not match the ones in the photo. He had started by telling her he could make her “miss her flight,” clearly soliciting a bribe. When Suaad Mohamud refused to offer a bribe, her troubles began.  Kenyan airport security and KLM officials contacted the Canadian High Commission staff in Nairobi alleging that Suaad Mohamud might be an “impostor.” When Canadian diplomats arrived at the airport, she presented them a swath of documents attesting to her Canadian citizenship. They included a citizenship certificate with her photo, an Ontario driver’s licence (again with a photo), an Ontario Health Insurance Plan card, a social insurance card, credit card, bank cards, a Humber River Regional Hospital card, a Shoppers Drug Mart card, and a note from her Toronto employer. She even had a recent Toronto dry cleaning receipt. Instead of helping a citizen in distress, Canadian officials rejected her documents, branding her an “impostor.” They voided her passport and sent it to Kenyan immigration authorities informing them they were free to use it to prosecute her. She was thrown in a filthy Kenyan jail where she languished for eight days before friends could offer bail. Yet her troubles were far from over. The Kenyan authorities charged her with fraud and for being an “impostor.” It was only after she contacted relatives and friends in Toronto who in turn contacted a lawyer that her case came to public attention. The media were generally sympathetic with the Toronto Star playing a leading role in highlighting her story and plight.
The attitude of various departments, especially Foreign Affairs and Canada Border Security Agency, has been particularly disturbing. Far from coming to her rescue as would be expected in such cases, various officials not only washed their hands of the matter but added to her woes by making unsubstantiated allegations against her. When her Toronto lawyer Raoul Boulakia suggested official compare her finger prints taken at the time when she had applied for Canadian citizenship, with ones taken now to verify her identity, various excuses were advanced. The government said it had destroyed the finger print records once her identity for citizenship had been confirmed. So, there was nothing to compare. Boulakia suggested a DNA test since Suaad Hagi Mohamud’s 12-year-old son, Mohamed Hussein, lived in Toronto.
After two months of legal battles, the Canadian government finally agreed on July 22 to give her a conclusive DNA test, as recommended by her lawyer. Even so, Canadian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lawrence Cannon, insisted on July 24, “The individual has to be straightforward, has to let us know whether or not she is a Canadian citizen.” He went on, “She’s saying so, but there is no tangible proof…” Suaad Mohamud had already produced several photo identifications and submitted affidavits but Cannon can be forgiven because before he entered parliament and was appointed minister, he was the mayor of a small town where they deal with such issues as zoning, sewage treatment and garbage collection — hardly experience that would equip him to deal with international affairs or diplomacy. Even when the DNA results came on August 11 and conclusively established Suaad Mohamud’s identity, there was more stonewalling from the government. On August 18, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper made the astonishing claim that he learnt about the matter only a week earlier. Clearly, Harper  probably does not read newspapers. And   does Harper, too rely on advisors to brief him? He is known to micromanage every little detail of government policy. Suaad Mohamud’s story was in the news for weeks with details of her ordeal known to most Canadians. How could Harper have not known?
Whether Harper was ignorant or is lying does not speak well for him. Suaad Mohamud was finally issued a travel document and she landed in Toronto on August 15. Her ordeal however is not over; she is suffering from various illnesses she contracted while in the Kenyan jail. The government too is not off the hook although it has become particularly adept at mistreating Muslim Canadians. Her case has raised concerns among other Canadians about whether their government would stand up for them if they got into trouble abroad.
In fact successive governments officials  have acted in a manner that has jeopardized the lives of Canadians.

There have been others — Abousfian Abdelrazik, for instance — who languished in Sudan for five years on the false charge that he was an al-Qaeda operative. He was tortured by the Sudanese government and when the charges proved false, he was let go. He sought refuge in the Canadian embassy in Khartoum but the government would not issue him a passport. Ottawa was finally ordered by the court to produce him. Abdelrazik returned to Canada last June. The cases of Maher Arar, and that of Abdullah Almalki, Muayyed Nureddin and Ahmad El Maati also stand out shedding particular light on the egregious behaviour of successive Canadian governments. All were tortured overseas with the complicity of their own government. And all happen to be Muslims. With the exception of Maher Arar, no apology or compensation has been offered to any of them. There is persistent stonewalling by the government. Each of the three individuals was falsely labelled as alleged threat to Canada’s “national security,” and ended up in Syrian torture chambers (and, in one case, Egyptian torture chambers as well) where they were interrogated and tortured based on questions that came from Canada. A problematic secret federal review of their cases (The Iacobucci Inquiry, which unfortunately excluded the men, their lawyers, the press, and public from participating) nonetheless found that Canadian agencies were complicit in the men’s overseas detention, interrogation, and torture.

Last June, the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security of the House of Commons called for an immediate apology for all thee men, along with compensation “for the suffering they endured and the difficulties they encountered.” The committee released a report that also called on the federal government to “do everything necessary to correct misinformation that may exist in records administered by national security agencies in Canada or abroad with respect to” the three men and their family members.

The pattern of mistreatment and abuse of Muslims is so persistent and the callousness of the Canadian government, indeed successive governments, is so glaring that one cannot but conclude that Muslims are the target of a deliberate campaign. Not only Muslims but even fair-minded mainstream commentators have concluded that there are different classes of citizens in Canada today. In a stinging critique of government policy, Christopher Hume of the Toronto Star wrote in his August 12 column titled: “Is citizenship now defined by the colour of your skin?” It is worth quoting Hume at some length,

“But it is a point worth remembering, especially in the face of mounting evidence that Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s regime is determined to create different categories of citizenship. According to the administration’s new meaning of Canadian citizenship, the main qualification is not residence, place of birth, oath of allegiance or passport — it’s the colour of your skin.

“And in Canada today, God help you if you’re not white, because the federal government sure won’t. Indeed, that government creates these problems in the first place.

“This isn’t just another political scandal; this is cause for deep national shame. This smacks not just of prejudice, but of apartheid.”

Only a few years earlier, Brenda Martin, a white Canadian woman was convicted and imprisoned in Mexico on drug trafficking charges. The Canadian government not only intervened with the Mexican authorities but a federal minister sent his private plane to fetch her from the Mexican jail. In the case of Suaad Mohamud, Maher Arar, Abousfian Abdelrazik, Abdullah Almalki, Muayyed Nureddin, Ahmad El Maati and Omar Khadr, the government has a very different attitude. In fact, it has been complicit in their abuse and torture.”

Now after the ocurrance of 911 that was unacceptable but very predictable behavior. Muslims as a result are feeling unwanted in many countries.. not just in Canada

Racism, Dire warning of Israeli strikes on Iran

    See also

The recent news of construction of a covert nuclear installation in Iran – Qom, has created a   major blow to the credibility of the American intelligence community, which has continued to undermine Israeli reports of growing concerns of a real nuclear threat. Israel feels it might have to deal with the situation on it’s own.  In other words, to prevent Iran from developing a single bomb (Israel has  a rather intimidating deterrent) we should simply learn to live with more terrorism here.

Speculation: Israeli Strike Against Iran Inevitable and the Americans Will “Recuperate” If An Attack On Iran  occurs”…  Iran’s Islamist leaders THEMSELVES also   have for decades called for Israel to be eliminated from the pages of history, fueling calls by many Israelis for their government to strike and destroy the Iranians’ ability to make nuclear weapons. Israel has for some time warned it is ready to launch preemptive strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities at any time. With international pressure growing on Iran to freeze its nuclear program, analysts say Israeli leaders are toning down those warnings and giving diplomacy a chance to work.  For months, Israel warned it was ready for an immediate preemptive strike on Iranian targets much like the ones it conducted in the past against Syria, and Iraq under Saddam Hussein.   Israel says all options remain open  meaning that Israel is not in danger of disappearing because it has the means to deal with Iran.

U.S. Wonders if Iran Is Playing for Time  October 2, 2009  WASHINGTON — President Obama got what he said he wanted when United States negotiators met with their Iranian counterparts this week in Geneva: direct engagement, without preconditions, with Iran. President Obama is trying to walk a fine line between celebrating a possible breakthrough in negotiations with Iran and being wary of the possibility that Tehran may just be playing for time.  But the trick now for Mr. Obama, administration officials concede, will be to avoid getting tripped up. In other words, is the Iranian government serious this time?  The clearest risk is that the Iranians may play for time, as they have often been accused of doing in the past, making promises and encouraging more meetings, while waiting for political currents to change or the closed ranks among the Western allies to break.  After Tehran agreed to send most of its openly declared enriched uranium outside Iran to be turned into fuel, Obama administration officials were clearly walking a fine line on Thursday between celebrating what could be a possible breakthrough in international efforts to rein in Iran’s nuclear ambitions and sounding appropriately skeptical

WASHINGTON —  “We regret the reports of Israel’s plans to approve additional settlement construction, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said in a statement. “Continued settlement activity is inconsistent with Israel’s   international commitments to the peace proces sunder the Roadmap,” he said, referring to the blueprint for a permanent two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  “As the president has said before, the United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued settlement expansion and we urge that it stop,”

UN Finds Signs of War Crimes on Both Sides in Gaza New York Times –   A United Nations fact-finding mission investigating the three-week war in Gaza issued a lengthy, scathing report on Tuesday that concluded that both the Israeli military and Palestinian armed groups “committed actions amounting to war crimes, and possibly crimes against humanity.” …

“We are right to question the state of Israel’s actions and I am not anti-Semitic for doing so. I think the religious fundamentalism exhibited by certain Zionist and Orthodox Jewish groups needs to be dealt with in a similar manner to Islamic fundamentalism, I don’t see the distinction between the two, both are equally repulsive. “

*Jews, Israel for a start falsely, to try to get the support of others, even like to use the term anti Semite often, as a false diversion  even for a start,  as  they here supposedly want to say that they alone are not the objects of the hate, racial  attack but so are the others..  Although the term anti-Semitism has wide currency, it is regarded  as a misnomer, falsely now  implying discrimination against all Semites, including all Arabs and other peoples, who now firstly are not the clear targets of anti-Semitism today as it is usually the fact. It is not the past Jewish culture being attacked now too, but rather their presently specific now bad  personal acts, poor values associated with Israel, especially when they the Jews too often and  falsely, undeniably too now, the chosen ones,   tend to think they are now really superior to all other nations too and they can do what they want, for they can do no wrong. Rather this is not so in reality, they the Jews too can be held accountable for their too often now bad acts as well… even against the Palestinians.

God still wants both Jews and Arabs to live in peace.. peace takes both parties real participation too.

Psalm 133:1  A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2  It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3  As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Not surprising  Calgary has the highest rate of hate-motivated crime in the country, according to a new study released by Statistics Canada.. there racism does exist. And it’s a shame that it does.
The other four cities were all in Ontario. Calgary is the most racist place in Canada, there is a lot to hate about Calgary I m not surprised. People in Calgary treat colored people like a 2nd class citizen. I don’t know about Ontario, but the conditions here are atrocious. Canadians have this misconception that they are tolerant people I can tell you about Calgarians, majority are racist. Everyone saying “I’ve been here for a million years and have seen no sign of any sort of hate crime!” must walk around with their eyes closed. I never thought so much racism, homophobia and just plain ANGER could exist. It’s really sad .This province has set a selfish pace.. our politicians are self-serving, they have little regard for the less fortunate, and they do little to enhance fairness. We’ve dug ourselves a hole, stuck on narrow-minded politics. It’s no surprise hate crime is up – we teach intolerance when our example is “every man for himself.” Search “The Calgary School” to see how this all spread to a national level – as intolerance is fueled and thrives, it will grow and spread.  This story does not surprise me in the least. As a Calgarian I was always amazed at how common blatant acts of racism, bigotry, and intolerance were – and even more amazed at how apathetic the average Calgarian was to these acts. I think if anything, the more recent diversification of Calgary from places such as the east coast will help to displace the older, narrow-minded baby boomer generation that has dominated and suppressed the culture there for so long. It just adds to the Eastern persona that Calgary is full of red neck hicks and right now, I can’t blame them.  “I liked the comment about attributing the high number of hate crimes in Calgary to new arrivals from the East. I believe this is what psychologists refer to as “deflecting” or projecting one’s own character failings onto others.   If newly arrived Easterners are truly responsible for all the hate crime, then what attracted them to Calgary in the first place?”
In 2006, 92 hate crimes were reported in Calgary — about nine incidents for every 100,000 people in the city, or three times higher than the national average of three per 100,000, said the agency Monday.

“The Criminal Code of Canada says a hate crime is committed to intimidate, harm or terrify not only a person, but an entire group of people to which the victim belongs. The victims are targeted for who they are, not because of anything they have done. Hate crimes involve intimidation, harassment, physical force or threat of physical force against a person, a family or a property.”
Race and ethnicity still top the list of Canada’s most common motivators of hate crimes, according to a Statistics Canada. It is too easy to  slip into racism like everyone else.. It likely has a lot to do with Calgary’s past history and cultural non mixing population make up.. Mormons, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Evangelicals, Mennonites, Germans, Ukrainians.. Calgary’s history includes wild west rustlers.  Most people in Alberta are eastern arrivals for only the natives are the originals.. who mow still wrongfully often are despised too. Vey few Black  or Asian people – Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc.,  in the first place in Alberta as well.. Most people do not have main relatives, senior parents in Alberta.. and the only part of the town I found was friendly was Calgary NW… Most Calgarian churches are not mixed now as well.. segregated rather.. First RCMP post too. 1/4 of hate crimes in Canada  at least  are directed at Aboriginal people and Calgary is no exception here ..
Alberta’s  political leaders and police themselves undeniably have to take the main blame too for racism, hate by their own bad examples.

Most hate crimes committed by strangers in the Police-reported data indicate that hate crime incidents differ from crime in general in that they are more likely to be committed by strangers than by persons known to the victim (The  police itself tend not to report on thmselves still though – they are known to also absue natives Canada wide.. )

Conservative MP apologizes for ‘hurtful’ comments on aboriginal people  Updated: Thursday, June 12, 2008   CBC News  A Conservative MP who on Wednesday told an Ottawa radio station that former residential school students need a stronger work ethic, not more compensation dollars, has apologized for his comments. Pierre Poilievre apologized Thursday for questioning the value of residential school compensation. (CBC)  Pierre Poilievre stood in the House of Commons Thursday to say he was sorry for his remarks, which were made just hours before Prime Minister Stephen Harper delivered a public, formal apology to former students of the native residential school program. “Yesterday on a day when the House and all Canadians were celebrating a new beginning, I made remarks that were hurtful and wrong,” Poilievre said. “I accept responsibility for them and I apologize.” Poilievre had come under heavy criticism for telling CFRA News Talk Radio that he wasn’t sure Canada was “getting value for all of this money” being spent to compensate former students of federally financed residential schools. “My view is that we need to engender the values of hard work and independence and self-reliance. That’s the solution in the long run — more money will not solve it,” Poilievre said.

( Excluding racism againts Canada’s natives and the police themselves ) There were no hate crimes reported in Saguenay, Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivières,( and we know that French seperatists do not hate the english or ethnic minorities in these towns?  dream on) St. Catharines-Niagara and Saskatoon. Relatively low rates were reported in St. John’s, Gatineau, Greater Sudbury, and Thunder Bay.

    Hate crimes per 100,000 population
    Calgary 9.1
    Kingston, Ont. 8.5
    Ottawa 6.6
    London, Ont. 5.9
    Toronto 5.5

Calgary was one of five cities that reported data higher than the national average. Both Toronto and Calgary have some of the highest Jewish population as well. Due to relatively low coverage in some provinces, provincial comparisons of police-reported hate crime are limited to Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia where virtually 100% of all police services and detachments participated in the hate crime study.. The report is flawed depending on the municipal police reports accuracies too. We tend to know that landlocked towns tend to be more racists over seaport or border, tourist towns.
