I too do understand no one likes to have their unrepented sins shouted from the Housetops, the Jews especially it seems, so what? they too do need to repent, stop their wrong doings rather. One cannot overlook Israel ‘s immoral acts because they were once chosen of God in the past. But now they have been rejected of God the last 2000 years too

In April 2013, the Church of Scotland published a report entitled “The Inheritance of Abraham: A Report on the Promised Land,” which included a discussion of Israeli and Jewish claims to the Land of Israel. The report said “there has been a widespread assumption by many Christians as well as many Jewish people that the Bible supports an essentially Jewish state of Israel. This raises an increasing number of difficulties and current Israeli policies regarding the Palestinians have sharpened this questioning,” and that “promises about the Land of Israel were never intended to be taken literally.” The church responded to criticism by saying that “The Church has never and is not now denying Israel’s right to exist; on the contrary, it is questioning the policies that continue to keep peace a dream in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory. This report is against the injustices leveled against the Palestinian people and how land is shared. It is also a reflection of the use or misuse of scripture to claim divine right to land by any group. The  Church of Scotland  denies the Jewish right to the Biblical land of Israel and which urges British and European pressure upon Israel over Jewish residence in Judea and Samaria.

The Church of Scotland 10-page report, entitled, ‘The Inheritance of Abraham,’ calls essentially for economic sanctions and pressure on Israel. The report “urge[s] the UK Government and the European Union to use pressure to stop further expansion of Israeli settlements in the Occupied West Bank.” The Church report also rejects the Jewish claim to its biblical, religious, historic and legal homeland, saying that it does not accept  “claims that scripture offers any peoples a privileged claim for possession of a particular territory.”

• [Regarding Biblical promises of the land of Israel to the Jewish people] “They are a way of speaking about how to live under God so that justice and peace reign, the weak and poor are protected, the stranger is included, and all have a share in the community and a contribution to make to it.”

•“The ‘promised land’ in the Bible is not a place, so much as a metaphor of how things ought to be among the people of God. This ‘promised land’ can be found — or built — anywhere.

•“The desire of many in the state of Israel to acquire the land of Palestine for the Jewish people is wrong. The fact that the land is currently being taken by settlement expansion, the separation barrier, house clearance, theft and force makes it doubly wrong to seek biblical sanction for this.

•“There is guilt among Western Christianity about centuries of anti-Semitism that led to discrimination against the Jews, culminating in the total evil of the Holocaust.”

•“Possession of any land is clearly conditional. The question that arises is this: Would the Jewish people today have a fairer claim to the land if they dealt justly with the Palestinians?”

•“… it can be concluded that Christians should not be supporting any claims by Jewish or any other people to an exclusive or even privileged divine right to possess particular territory.”

A statement by the Church also explained that the Church has not changed its “long held position of the rights of Israel to exist … The Church condemns all violence and acts of terrorism where they happen around the world. The Church condemns all things that create a culture of anti-Semitism.” However, they still retains the passage urging the UK government and the EU to use boycotts and pressure on Israel.

It is amazing how new testament Bible ignorant persons falsely dispute the facts about Jews, Israel and Messianic Jews.. Now after King  Solomon’s death they split into two completely separate and independent kingdoms – the southern kingdom of ‘Judah,’ consisting of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, with part of Levi since the Levites were distributed among the other tribes (1 Kings 12:23) with their capital at Jerusalem, and the northern kingdom of ‘Israel,’ consisting of the other ten tribes (Reuben, Simeon, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Ephraim and Manasseh (Joseph was divided into Ephraim and Manasseh), with part of Levi since the Levites were distributed among the other tribes), with their capital up in Samaria.

The designation “Jew” belonged exclusively to the southern kingdom of Judah, the very word “Jew” having been derived from “Judah.”  And so technically, only the kingdom of Judah was “Jewish” and the other tribes of Israel have no right to call themselves Jews. That this distinction was understood in the Old Testament is seen in II Kings 16:5-6 (KJV) where the people of Israel and the King of Syria fought against the “Jews” of the southern kingdom.

It is ALSO a documented fact that when the Ten Tribes of Joseph, known as “Israel or Ephraim,” were taken into “captivity” in c.800 BCE by Assyria, they ceased to exist as a separate people because they lost their use of their Aramaic/Hebrew language and their sense of Israelite tribal identity. In the New Testament, in His message to the Church at Smyrna, the Lord Jesus Christ referred to a “synagogue of Satan” as “them which say they are Jews, and are not.” In other words, there was a synagogue of Israel that was not Jewish:
