EDMONTON – A lengthy investigation into the trafficking of steroids within the Edmonton Police Service has resulted in charges and suspensions against two veteran officers, while six others have been removed from their current duties. “Edmontonians expect their police officers to be honest and ethical, and answer to a higher standard,”   “Behaviour contrary to these expectations brings reputational damage to our police service and violates the public trust.”

VANCOUVER — Many years later the RCMP officer who stunned Robert Dziekanski with a Taser at Vancouver’s airport lied at a public inquiry into the Polish immigrant’s death, a judge ruled. Const. Kwesi Millington fired his Taser multiple times after he and three other officers were summoned to Vancouver’s airport in October 2007. Dziekanski, who spoke no English, had been throwing furniture in the international terminal.  Millington’s verdict marks the first time a judge has concluded that one of the officers lied. Another Mountie, Const. Bill Bentley, was acquitted in 2013, while two other cases have not yet concluded.  The Crown alleged the officers colluded on a story to tell homicide investigators and write in their police notes in an attempt to heighten the threat that Dziekianski posed. Prosecutors argued the officers’ statements and notes all contained similar errors, proving they worked together. The Crown further alleged the officers met in the Vancouver area in the days or weeks before testifying at the inquiry in early 2009 to plan their testimony. A witness, whose ex-husband is Bentley’s cousin, told the court the officers met at her home, but the defence presented telephone records, credit card receipts and other evidence to cast doubt on her testimony. The judge  noted that the officer’s errors all exaggerated the threat Dziekanski posed.

A Quebec  SQ officer is facing charges of falsifying evidence. Constable Sebastien Grenier was suspended with pay last April while police investigated allegations that the officer had handed out bogus speeding tickets in the Eastern Townships. Grenier will appear in court only on  March 27th. His status with the police force is expected to be re-evaluated in the coming days. Meanwhile he gets fully pay..

A constable with B.C.’s Abbotsford Police Department has been criminally charged and 16 other officers are under investigation for allegations related to the integrity of statements used in a number of criminal cases to obtain search warrants. Const. Christopher Nicholson has been charged with  breach of trust, obstruction of justice and conspiracy to traffic a controlled substance, the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner (OPCC) said in a statement released Wednesday.  During the Vancouver Police Department investigation, it says it uncovered further allegations of misconduct against 16 other members of the APD and a total of 148 accusations of misconduct against seventeen members of the Abbotsford Police Department. The accusations include corrupt practice, deceit, and neglect of duty. The OPCC says it has not been able to adequately determine the extent to which prosecutions may have been compromised “due to the lack of adequate disclosure from the police. Deputy Police Complaint Commissioner Rollie Woods says the officers are accused of making up information to secure search warrants. “The concerns raised have an impact of the interplay between key institutional stakeholders within the criminal justice system which include the federal prosecution service, judicial officers and the police. Furthermore, what remains an active concern to the OPCC is the extent to which the search warrants in issue may have contributed to potentially unsafe prosecutions,” reads a statement from the office.

Mountie charged with trafficking cocaine and Ecstasy

0canada-rcmp-security-2010-e

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2015  A Saskatchewan Mountie has been charged with trafficking cocaine and Ecstasy, the RCMP said

The now-suspended officer has been on the force nearly seven years and was stationed in Swift Current as a general duty constable since 2012, the RCMP said.

“It’s very disheartening that a serving police officer, sworn to uphold the law, is facing criminal charges,” RCMP Supt. Alfredo Bangloy said in a statement. ”

.

“An Ontario Provincial Police officer working out of a detachment in the east region has been charged with criminal harassment. The OPP’s professional standards bureau launched an investigation into the provincial constable in September 2014 after a complaint was filed.  The 37-year-old officer was arrested four months later on Jan. 29. He is charged with two counts of criminal harassment and one count of unlawfully being in a dwelling. He is scheduled to appear in court in Renfrew on March 25. The man is a 13-year member of the OPP and is “presently on leave,” OPP said in a media release. His name is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.” and if you belive this you are dumb, really dumb..

.

Look the RCMP even had known   for years specifics details by wire tapping about the Corruption in the Quebec city halls and they next still did nothing good about it..

.

People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.

.

Too many police officers are now too often guilty of their most serious neglect of public trust and their duty. The related truth is that neither an independent police investigation, a new police commissioner,  a promised provincial or federal investigation, or just more politicians promises too often still   will not bring the much needed justice. All of the governments can prohibit the initial and further employment of any known racists for any jobs, and can  punish them for their racists acts, views. Police managers continue to promise the reforming of bad cops and the bad cops keep killing, abusing  innocent persons. The possible retraining of bad  police officers is always anyway a false myth. What thus is always needed is the real  the dismissal, criminal prosecution, of the guilty cops. So where is it? Speeding is not the main cause of car accidents, impaired driving is, but too many cops are alcoholics it seems who wrongfully do sympathize with drunks and as a result do not arrest drunks all year .. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/07/18/we-all-do-know-it-is-merely-the-tip-of-a-large-iceberg/

The attack on the All Saints Church in the city of Peshawar, which also wounded over 140 people, occurred as worshippers were leaving after services to get a free meal of rice offered on the front lawn. A wing of the Pakistani Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for the bombing, Angry Christians   demanded government protection for the members of the Christian minority. Christians are a minority in Pakistan, where roughly 96 per cent of the country’s 180 million people is Muslim. The rest belong to other religions, including Christianity. Christians have often been attacked by Sunni Muslim militants, who view them as enemies of Islam because of their faith. Christians are also in a precarious position in Pakistan. While many Pakistanis condemned the Sunday bombings, Christians have often faced discrimination across the country. They often find it difficult to get access to education or better jobs and are known for having to contend with menial labour such as garbage collecting or street cleaning. . http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/angry-pakistani-christians-protest-church-attack-as-death-toll-rises-to-81/article14460407/

Now the majority of Canadians view non-Christian religions with uncertainty and dislike.  What’s more surprising is that Canadians’ opinions of religions like Islam, Sikhism, and Hinduism have actually worsened since the last time Angus Reid conducted this survey in 2009. ‘s interesting to compare these numbers to similar polls conducted in the United States. In 2010, CBS Polling found that 53 per cent of Americans had an unfavourable view of Islam. A 2009 Gallup survey indicated that 35 per cent of Americans had an unfavourable opinion of Buddhism while 56 per cent were uncertain of Judaism.

Evidently too many Islamists even now are  using falsely God and Islam to justify their murderous rampage they must be widely condemned by all Muslims around the world but that is not the case…  Not enough is even  being done in Islamic countries to protect their Christian minorities and the other targets of these Islamic murderers,  killers.
.
In exercising his fundamental freedoms and rights, a person shall maintain a proper regard for democratic values, public order,  safety and the general well-being, preferences, of the citizens of Québec.
.
Particularly since Quebec  was a clearly Christian Catholic nation from it’s beginning.
.
The majority of   Quebecers as the polls show, they do support the proposed Parti Québécois ban on such religious symbols as the Muslim hijab,  Jewish kippa, and the Sikh’s turbans and knifes, Kirpans  most anywhere .
.
The issue of “reasonable accommodations” has long been a hot-button topic in Canada, but particularly in Quebec.
.
While the Liberals officially proclaimed multiculturalism as a national policy since the early 1970s it does not mean the rest of Canada now has.
.
It is undeniable  Canada is a professing Christian nation so it would be foolish, however, to think that Canada officially supports heathen multiculturalism, or that the other nine provinces and three territories have seriously moved past skirmishes over freedom of religion, which is enshrined in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
.
When it comes to the Quebec proposal, at least 42 per cent of Canadians overall said they were in favor of it, according to a recent poll.
.
Most Canadians, Quebecers do not insist that religious differences ought to be accommodated and even welcomed in Canada, never mind in public life .
.
There is no doubt that Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Jews are now even terrified about the  proposed revisions to the Quebec Charter of human rights and freedoms  and the lack of multiculturalism support  in Quebec. This handwriting on the wall is frightening to them as History repeats itself.  But if they do not like it let them go back to their old countries where they came from.
.
Inflammatory Remarks like Quebec charter of values divisive, discriminatory and unlikely to withstand legal challenges, would not likely withstand a constitutional challenge still  will do nothing to change the attitudes still of most Canadian’s or the Quebecer’s towards the heathen multiculturalism.
.
”Parti Québécois government seems to be giving up on its language bill at the same time that it is proposing a charter of Quebec values.” BECAUSE ONLY 30 PERCENT  QUEBECERS  SUPPORT  THE LANGUAGE  BILL BUT  70  PERCENT QUEBECERS SUPPORT THE CHARTER, AND 70 PERCENT OF QUEBECERS WILL NOT ALLOW THEIR SONS OR DAUGHTERS TO MARRY A MUSLIM OR A JEW BECAUSE THEY ARE BASICALLY STILL CATHOLIC.. SO IT IS NOT A SURPRISE. AND IT IS THE UNGODLY LIEBERALS RATHER WHO ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH QUEBECERS…..
.

Here are five things the charter would do,  .

  1. Bar public sector employees — including everyone from civil servants to teachers, provincial court judges, daycare workers, police, health-care personnel, municipal employees and university staff — from wearing a hijab, turban, kippa, large visible crucifix or other “ostentatious” religious symbols while on the job.
  2. Allow five-year opt-outs from the ban for certain organizations, but not daycare workers or elementary school teachers.
  3. Require that those receiving or providing government services uncover their faces.
  4. Exempt elected members of the Quebec legislature from the regulations.
  5. Amend Quebec’s human rights legislation, the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms, to specify limits on when someone can stake a claim for religious accommodation.
,
While 75% of respondents agreed that immigration made the province “strong,” half of Quebecers disagreed with the concept of multiculturalism, calling for new immigrants in the province to abandon their native custom and dress in an attempt to become “more like Quebecers.” Just less than half of the respondents shared the belief that multiculturalism breeds strife… http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/09/16/about-one-third-of-canadians-want-pqs-proposed-ban-on-religious-garb-extended-to-include-private-sector-poll/
.
World wide Muslims are continually finding themselves these days now forced to leave the intelligent countries, Europe, Russia, Canada, USA, etc where theynmow do lose their good jobs, cannot find work and have to go back to their own Muslims world where they likely will be killed, jailed etc..No fun being a Muslim for sure.. “Muslim Badia Senouci told: ‘change your religion’.. Woman alleges she and family were verbally assaulted and spit on while shopping” Senouci was shopping two weeks ago in Ste-Foy with her son and husband when an older woman approached them and began insulting their religion. The woman insisted that Senouci remove her hijab, and then told her the government would soon be forcing her to remove her headscarf anyway. Senouci says that when her 18-year-old son Ahmed intervened and asked the woman to stop harassing his mother, she spit in his face. The son pushed the older woman in reaction. She in turn hit Senouci’s son, and then the husband when he acted to separate them, with her bag. Senouci and her family are originally from Algeria 14 years ago.. She says this incident, and another one from earlier in the day where she was insulted while her car stopped at a light, are recent events where she has been a target while living here. The family says the Quebec charter has already radically changed Quebecers. She feels the charter and the controversy it has caused has made it socially acceptable to single out people like her.” Not really Muslims were never welcomed in Canada..
.
“I think people have a hard time understanding how a Jewish doctor wearing a kippa or a hospital worker wearing a turban gets in the way of their work, their responsibilities or dealing with the public,”Jason Kenney MP
.
Now over a year ago I wrote to Jason Kenney as well , obviously you do not read important letters, saying that I was hospitalized with congestive heart failure at the Montreal , Quebec Notre Dame hospital where I then had witnessed first hand a trouble making veiled Muslim nurse causing unrest by advocating the other Muslims in the hospitals not eat the same food we were offered but for them to demand to  be given their own separate food… this religious fanatic missionary came to our Christian country, Canada to cause trouble and not to settle down in peace obviously.. so what you approve of this?
.
Now the secular, Jewish News media and others falsely believe  thy can now easily change the minds of Quebecers.. really they can change  generations of values that easily? Dream on..
.

Over 1,100 Quebecers were asked a series of questions related to the debate brewing across the province on the subject of religion by SOM Research.

When they were asked whether they would be comfortable if their child’s daycare worker wore a cross, hijab, turban or kippa, 79 per cent of respondents said a cross would be fine.

Meanwhile, only 49 per cent of people said they were comfortable with the hijab, 46 per cent with the turban and 41 per cent with the kippa.

Elsewhere, 90 per cent of Quebecers said they’d be at ease with a doctor wearing a cross, while only 65 per cent of them said they’d be equally at ease with a doctor wearing a kippa.

Dr. Nataros  claims that members of the McGill Faculty of Medicine are attempting to defame his name  because he reported an incident in which serious errors were made by senior doctors. Nataros says that the incident, which took place in November 2012, and is still under investigation by an independent ombudsmen, had near fatal consequences. “It was more than just the wrong treatment, there was a missed diagnosis that made it infinitely worse and the patient almost died,” said Nataros. “It was only very quick treatment and a transfer to a tertiary care centre that saved that patient’s life.” According to Dr. Nataros, his decision to report the errors made by senior physicians prompted these doctors to target him with a barrage of personal attacks. He notes that in a meeting last December, two of the physicians arrived with numerous letters collected from different doctors stating that they found it difficult to work with Dr. Nataros. “The accusations were that ‘Alex is challenging; ‘Alex is argumentative;’ ‘Alex does not respect authority,’” said Dr. Nataros. “But, there has never been an issue with my clinical competency or my patient care.”

Quebec’s anti-corruption task force suspects Porter and four high-profile  executives involved in the construction of the McGill University Superhospital  were part of a massive fraud conspiracy.UPAC issued arrest warrants Wednesday morning for Arthur Porter, Pierre  Duhaime, Riadh Ben Aissa, Yanai Elbaz , Jeremy Morris. UPAC confirmed  Wednesday that Elbaz – the former associate director general of the MUHC – is in  custody and will be charged Thursday. Duhaime — the former CEO of SNC-Lavalin – will turn himself in to Surete du  Quebec headquarters Thursday morning, He has already been charged with fraud. Ben  Aissa — another former executive at SNC-Lavalin — has already been arrested  and questioned by police for his possible role in other plots. All five are wanted for fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud, and related charges. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/02/27/high-profile-executives-involved-in-the-construction-of-the-mcgill-university-superhospital-are-charged/

MONTREAL — A phone conversation involving a senior executive at engineering  giant SNC-Lavalin provided one of the first clues that Montreal’s new McGill  University Health Centre superhospital was at the centre of an intricate bribery  scheme.   During the taped conversation, Ben Aïssa — then the head of SNC-Lavalin’s  construction division — was also heard referencing the use of a “contract” to  disguise money transfers involving the Canadian hospital. That contract, which  involved a Bahamas-based company called Sierra Asset Management, was worth $30  million. Ben Aïssa was allegedly recorded saying that “only 22 (million) was  paid.”  “It has been shown that this money, attributed in (company) accounts to a gas  project in Algeria, served materially to influence Quebec bureaucrats with a  view to awarding the contract for the modernization of the MUHC to SNC-Lavalin,”  wrote Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Jean-Frédérick Gagnon http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Phone+conversation+tipped+authorities+MUHC+bribery+affidavit/8582210/story.html#ixzz2XT7OxVpYhttp://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Phone+conversation+tipped+authorities+MUHC+bribery+affidavit/8582210/story.html

MONTREAL —Arthur Porter’s arrest in Panama was the main topic of discussion at MUHC  hospitals  again. Maybe  the arrest  of the former boss will finally clear up unanswered questions about the  financial mismanagement at the MUHC and the alleged fraud in the awarding of the  superhospital contract.  Many nurses blame Porter, the former CEO of the MUHC, for the financial mess  that has resulted in budget cuts, job losses and bumping, which has been  terrible for morale,  http://www.montrealgazette.com/health/Lack+confidence+MUHC+Arthur+Porter+wake/8446669/story.html

“I work at the McGill General – the administrative staff is a NIGHTMARE – they run the  hospital. They run the nurses, the support staff, the DOCTORS. Why? Because they  have a strong union. You say one negative comment their way and all of a sudden  you are sitting with a lawyer, a union rep, and they have disappeared for 3  months of “burnout leave”.. they have no idea what a real burnout is.  Everyone,  including doctors, are afraid to say the wrong word in the fear of losing their  job, their license, their reputation as medical PROFESSIONALS.  And it’s these  same secretaries who will tell their patients the “stupid doctor is an hour  late” … when in fact the doctor just ran out of an emergency case cause their  was no doctor available there and the secretary was too lazy to find out where  the doctor actually was.  I could give many a horror story.”

.

“It’s the McGll pencil pushers who are deciding where to cut and obviously each and  every one of them is necessary to deliver health care; at least in their oun  minds. Perhaps it’s time the government hired a good management consultant  company to look at all non-medical positions at hospitals and see if they are  really necessary. There could be great savings to be poured back in to real  health care.’ “Now rather get rid of 18 administrative pencil pushers instead of the nurses.  Nurses are  needed more than the administrative pencil pushers  and the administrator earn  more than the nurses… .this is a HOSPITAL,  we need nurses  ! ! ! ”   “It’s a huge shame that in the end, it’s the lower employees who suffer, and  most importantly, the patients are paying for it.” “Fire the administrators responsible for this mess, not nurses who actually do  useful work.”

The least needed remain untouched while the most needed are cut. McGll’s Mr Rinfret has  been at Porter elbow through this whole mess making sure the right people were  met and the right doors opened, how he is still there(or actually promoted) is  amazing!

I’ve never felt more sick about living in Montreal, than I do. While healthcare  (and education) are seriously underfunded, we are overtaxed. While the average  citizen suffers, the corrupt politicians, the engineers, the city bureaucrats  and the mob prosper. Taxpayer money ends up stuffed in political party safes, in  off-shore accounts and mafia coffers. I only wish that the Harper Feds would  step in and seize control of Quebec and Montreal. Our municipal and provincial  leaders have sold us down the drain and we have let them get away with this.  Quebec has more similarities with a third world country than it does with the  Western world and I doubt it will ever change. I just want to get out of here  and never come back, even to visit.

MONTREAL — Six Montreal physicians and professors of medicine are speaking out against the way the McGill University Health Centre is run, charging that the MUHC has become “dysfunctional,” that its academic teaching mission is being given short shrift and that the superhospital planning is a mess. Dissident group notes that the $1.3-billion super hospital under construction in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce will not be equipped with teaching rooms or an auditorium for medical students and, as a result, “teaching facilities may have to be rented to give lectures.”

“Furthermore, it is clear that the superhospital will be a smaller building with fewer beds and resources,” the group adds. “Many services have been abandoned, outpatient facilities will be minimal and many medical units still have no idea of how they will be accommodated in the new hospital. The health implications of these changes in hospital function have not yet been addressed.”

Dr. David Morris, a professor of medicine, obstetrics and gynecology at McGill  said in an interview. “These disasters do not occur overnight.” Dr. Andrey Cybulsky, chief of nephrology at the MUHC, said he decided to sign the comment piece because he objects to the MUHC’s “top-down planning process without really much consultation.” its.

Gwendolyn Nacos, a member of the board of directors who was elected by the population, declined to comment on the letter, saying the policy of the board does not allow for individual members to comment to the news media.

The other signatories to the open letter are Dr. Barry Posner, director of the polypeptide hormone laboratory at McGill; Dr. Mark Sherman, interim director of endocrinology at the MUHC; and Dr. Walter Gregory; a senior physician at the MUHC.

Not much of a surprise? MONTREAL – Former executive committee chair Frank Zampino was, for a time, the most powerful man in Montreal, according to the latest witness Rosaire Sauriol  at the Charbonneau Commission — Rosaire Sauriol a witness who may have exerted considerable influence of his own at city hall. the inquiry lawyer Denis Gallant suggested that Sauriol was a major player in that  system and the true second-in-command to Zampino.

The province’s corruption inquiry has heard that crooked financing schemes also  permeated the federal level, via testimony Wednesday from a repentant  construction-industry executive.

The federal Transport minister asks for review of possible ethics breach by even  a federal judge http://cbc.sh/CRWx3bM

.

” What is important here is that he testified that same schemes of illegal political financing, collusion, bid rigging, fraud , breach of trust, price fixing, were also going on on Federal level!          So this means that probably millions of federal tax dollars were also stolen and that illegal donations were also practiced on federal level at the time!!!! Where is the RCMP? “

.

The already proven cost ineffective RCMP likely or clearly has also abused often taxpayer’s funds itself so it is, was in no position to investigate others.. these corruptions have been on going the last 50 years with the useless Montreal, Quebec and the RCMP police likely part of the problem.. sleeping with the enemy.

.

But do note this the bad Police are still very capable of arresting the poor helpless, defenceless students.. this week 60 arrested in Montreal as tuition protests resume .. so it is no wonder  students despise the police and governments.

Time for us all to fight to lower police costs Canada wide, RCMP included

police-start
Police  Managers, Politicians,  Police  Unions, the Police themselves are  Facing  Nation Wide Outrage , Public Anger, as  Canada wide there is an UNDENIABLE  problem in how the police do their jobs. Police officers do not only need to maintain the respect and good will of citizens to do their job effectively, they also depend on that good will in political battles over salary, pensions and benefits, in which they have been far more successful than other public employees in recent years.  The lack of trust of police by the minority community is also unacceptable.  When Police enforcement goes bad, the police and the police unions historically close ranks around suspect officers   Police PR and Police cover-ups will not do.  It is important for the police unions,  Police managers  to become honestly self-critical about police conduct and to not blindly defend each and every egregious incident by officers. And the criminal justice system should be doing what it was supposed to do,  carry out real, valid police justice.

It is an undeniable fact that the New Conservatives had said elect us and we will next show you an honest government, accountable, transparent as well but as we all tend to know next that was a big lie now too.. They clearly are not part of the  solutions to the much too many corruptions ongoing in Canada but clearly rather a part of the problem in that they and the RCMP for sure have failed to properly address the much too many  corruptions.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/most-politicians-civil-and-public-servants-think-the-rules-dont-apply-to-them/
.
Yes, we all can easily know that corruption has even plagued Quebec ( not just Ontario too)  at multi levels in City Halls. Hospitals, etc., from the top down to the bottom and for a very long time over 50 years.. Obviously nothing has changed.. because the watchdogs did nothing good about it.. the police, RCMP included also were, are themselves as bad as ever here.. the fiascos go on and on.. Money generating Speeding and parking tickets were their main Police occupations it seems.   It is sad that Job preservation was too often the false reason why most of the ostrich  employees also had went along with the vast corruptions instead of opposing it.. all it took for evil to triumph was for the good people to do nothing about it.

” Turns out that every aspect of Quebec public service is completely corrupt. Unfortunately, it is not just the city of Montreal that needs more investigation, it is:

– the SQ for giving themselves illegal bonuses and shutting down investigations that touch the “gouvernement national”.

– The MUC police force, and their contracts between Yvan Delorme and BCIA

– Union Montreal. It appears that at their fundraisers, they sometimes keep part or all of the money.

– We can look forward to “the corruption float” this Sunday which will be led by Montreal’s new mayor mayor Michael “I swear I am not under investigation” Applebaum.

PS: Merci to the SQ for tipping off the mayor about current UPAQ investigations.  Obviously nothing has changed..”

.
“Spending on policing has increased steadily while the volume and severity of reported crime have both been on the decline” even or has the police falsely rather discouraged the reporting of the crimes firstly?
.
Two police officers have been judged to be in breach of 4 code of ethics clearly  criminal charges. Why were their names not released?  and what if  when the same  police officers punch  someone it an ethics violation but if a citizen does  do the same, its an Assault conviction with a criminal record?  http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2013/02/13/montreal-racial-profile-farid-charles.html

OTTAWA — A new report by a respected international human rights watchdog has accused RCMP officers of abusing aboriginal women and girls in northern British Columbia.  http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/scathing-report-accuses-b-c-mounties-of-raping-abusing-aboriginal-girls-1.1154727

Human rights group says RCMP, native relationship ‘dysfunctional’ -A number of women interviewed by Human Rights Watch researchers alleged that RCMP officers used excessive force in arresting them, mistreated them while they were in custody and, in some cases, physically or sexually assaulted them. Many of the aboriginal women he spoke with did not trust police and felt little confidence that any complaints would be addressed. He said he was surprised to find that the fear of police expressed by some of the women was comparable with what he has seen in post-conflict situations in countries such as Iraq and Libya. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/human-rights-group-says-rcmp-native-relationship-dysfunctional/article8572404/

RCMP has a bullying problem, watchdog says. Commission chairman Ian McPhail said about 90 per cent of the complaints involved bullying. Only four per cent of the complaints dealt with sexual harassment, A national police force where abuse of authority is possibly a systemic problem means a really bad Police force!  and  the simple perception of a continual pattern of poor treatment of employees is enough to rattle all public confidence in   RCMP and severely already tarnished the force’s reputation. Instead of them all talking about the problems, do something How about some real solutions to problems within the RCMP?  Real Accountability instead of cover-ups and transfers, real punishments now too, Punishments that fit the crime  plus no more two or three year plus investigations into wrong-doing.  about the RCMP.  http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2013/02/14/rcmp-harassment-report-ian-mcphail.html

The former commander of the RCMP detachment in Merritt appears in provincial  court in Kelowna , charged with the theft of drugs from a police evidence  locker.  http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Former+Merritt+RCMP+detachment+commander+court+drug+charges/7953175/story.html?

it’s time the RCMP looked at the questionable spending practices – their own and the others   http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2013/02/13/ndp_seeks_rcmp_probe_into_senate_expenses_controversy.html …

.
The Public Safety Minister Mr. Vic Toews gave a speech the last month in which he questioned the spiralling costs of policing. Most policemen and their managers  are still really cost ineffective It is really Time to fight to lower police costs Canada wide, the RCMP included even by an clearly, enforced effective cost control framework ensures that no one rewards themselves at public expense,  that  ensures that the public is getting the most for its money, ensures  that all expense and travel claims are appropriate and handled with a high level of transparency and accountability.  And here too an example needs to be made of all those who abuse the expense account or sign off on illegitimate expenses by even make such acts criminal plus having the guilty individual return the stolen money. Thousands or millions of dollars abused are an enormous amount of money, and to not have adequate, stringent cost controls in place by now  is an unacceptable  failure of any  leadership on all the part of the governments , ministers, mayors, administrators .
.
By the way the people who make false expense statements are also guilty now of tax evasion
Follow the money trail, the oldest rule of good journalism and why is that so? as the love of money is the root of ell evil still..  He or she who cannot be trusted to handle money cannot be trusted to handle anything else now too.People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.
.
Now “it’s true that police costs in general, and police salaries in particular, are out of control. Total spending on police services nationally has doubled since 1997, reaching $12-billion. While the average Canadian income has grown by 11 per cent over the past decade, the average police salary has grown by 40 per cent. Policing is doing to municipal budgets what health care is doing to provincial budgets: threatening to consume them.” Both need better cost control management too.. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/death-of-internet-bill-gives-toews-new-life-to-beat-the-drum-on-policing-costs/article8584719/?
.
Police chiefs from across Canada are being urged to look at radical new approaches to public safety as they struggle to meet growing demands to keep their budgets in check http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/canadas-police-forces-have-to-innovate-or-cut-back-toews-tells-summit/article7409314/
.

The cost of policing cannot continue to rise indefinitely in Canada, or cities will end up bankrupt. Pools, camps, parks and libraries will have to close. Police in England and several U.S. cities have already undertaken drastic and innovative reforms to transform the delivery of law enforcement for a modern era  This has not yet happened in Canada. But there is no time to waste. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/commentary/editorials/cost-of-policing-in-canada-cannot-continue-to-rise/article7437935/

So who realy protects the Canadian citizens from the too often bad cops, bad RCMP

Not only is there rarely any justice when it comes to holding the much too many  bad cops to accountiablity but if there is any it takes years to do so.. and then not much good  tends to happen

.

Vancouver police are caught in an embarrassing situation in which they’re accused of beating up a man who they thought was a bank robber. Not only was he not the right guy — it turned out no bank had been robbed. Manjit Singh says he had just taken his garbage out the curb of his home near Joyce Street and Kingsway when a police approached him. “He pushed me on the fence,” said Singh, 51. “He said, ‘RCMP, RCMP.’” Other officers then swarmed him and started beating him up, Singh said. “One guy put the knee on my neck, one guy put the knee on my legs,” “They start kicking me … powerful kicks. Left, right, left, right.”

The case appears to be similar to an incident in 2010 when South Vancouver resident Yao Wei Wu was pulled out of his home and roughed up by two plainclothes officers who mistook him for another man who had allegedly assaulted his wife.

“I need justice now,” said Singh, who suffered cuts, bruises and apparent trauma. “Why they attack on one innocent guy?

Ha ha ha what else is new… bad unions and police protecting their own is sad..

Living high on the hog while paid by the taxpayers

Ottawa. The federal staff under the Conservative government are living high on the hog, having a good time on the taxpayers money, even flying around the world to learn about administration. This is no surprise since so many Conservative Ministers, senators, even the RCMP apparently do the same thing often. Meanwhile Quebecers also this year will pay more taxes to the governments. The RCMP also is known to be costly, cost ineffective already.

NDP MP Alexandre Boulerice said s that the federal government’s $2.2 million per year Advanced Leadership Program, which funds international trips for bureaucrats, is “too expensive,” especially at a time when taxpayers are being called to make financial “sacrifices.”

In 2009, the program had several participants visiting 35 different countries around the world including India, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, the U.S. and the Northwest Territories,  “Senior bureaucrats are flying around the world on lavish multi-destination trips on the taxpayer dime, all under the guise of ‘leadership training,’ and seeing how bureaucrats handle their jobs in other countries,”  This is not new for too many Civil servants in too any municipal and provincial governments did, do the same thing, even in Calgary Alberta.

Much too many liars, theives, bad managers.. no wonder they cannot even manage properly our heath care systems now too..

RCMP Officers perjury trial timeline frustrates justice and mother

.4 years have passed and another 2 or more to go.. for real justice here..

The mother of Robert Dziekanski says delays in prosecuting the RCMP police officers involved in her son’s death are prolonging her suffering. The Polish man trying to visit his Mom  died after four Mounties used a Taser stun gun to subdue him at Vancouver International Airport in October 2007. Last year, a public inquiry found much of the RCMP  officers’ testimony wasn’t credible, but it will be up to two more years before the four stand trial for perjury. RCMP Constables Bill Bentley, Kwesi Millington and Gerry Rundel, and Cpl. Benjamin (Monty) Robinson are facing the charges regarding their testimony during the inquiry. Thomas Braidwood, the retired judge who headed the inquiry, described some of the Mounties’ testimony as shameful and said they had made “deliberate misrepresentations for the purpose of justifying their action.” That was 2010. It took another year for a special prosecutor to lay perjury charges. Only last week were trial dates confirmed for all four RCMP officers. Mother says 2-year wait ‘is too long’ Each will be tried separately, the first next October, the last a year later, in 2013. Two years is too long to wait. I have to do something again,” Dziekanski’s mother, Zofia Cisowski, told CBC News. Cisowski also said she has had no peace since her son’s fatal confrontation with the RCMP. David Eby, executive director of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association, said the delay doesn’t serve anyone’s interest. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2011/12/26/dziekanski-rcmp-perjury-trials.html

besides the police undeniably a new breed of killers and murderers have now emerged

It used to be that impaired driving, driving drunk, or in rage, or under the influence of drugs caused the majority of traffic deaths.. but undeniably a new breed of killers and murderers have now emerged on the highway.. the people who talk and drive..
https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/canadians-want-a-full-cell-phone-while-driving-ban/

Neither the Telephone companies will discourage the use of phones, nor will the people who make beer or alcohol try realy to discourage the booze drinker so it is the role of the government, for public safety and the good of us all to deal with it effectively.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/drink-alcohol-and-die/

and both impaired, drunk drivers, cellphone users while driving, all should be prosecuted the year around

Speeding still is not the main cause of highway deaths, or vehicular accidents https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2011/10/11/liberal-mp-jim-karygiannis/

the continually bad RCMP

Abused! How much abuse is acceptable? None!  We as taxpayers do even pay a significant part of the Policeman’s education, Development, Training and then they too do  falsely try to abuse it to us by their deliberate poor performances.

I recognize that God is not the abuser; the bad people who misuse their authority are the unacceptable abusers and they all should be directly punished for it now and ASAP. I do not even accept any personal, domestic abuses quietly and rightfully as well…

The abuser too often tries to make the victim look as they are guilty ones, and that too is always unacceptable

Abused! How much abuse is acceptable? None! If you are being abused do not hesitate ASAP to call the police, human rights courts, news media.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. (1 Cor 13:3 KJV)

Matt 32:29 You shall love your neighbour as yourself.. and that means you will do him no harm now too.

And who else now are these too often and unacceptable abusers? why is is that they so readily abuse others now too? They tend to be persons who have their own value system, and clearly also a lack of love for others, and a lack of love for their jobs now as well. In case you did not notice it I do not accept any physical, verbal, mental, human rights abuses by anyone of anyone and I rightfully do instead demand their full, open exposure and public prosecution now as well and no matter who they are, Prime Minister, Premier, MP, MNA, MLA, MPP, Doctors, lawyers, cops, pastors, etc..

One does now have to fight for one’s rights to be respected , rather you have to complain loudly to all about the unacceptable abuses that you got. Unfortunately complaining once about the bad governmental or police services, courts does not seem to help for too often now it seems they are permanently corrupt, inadequate so many persons do have to even complain many times and world wide now too.. http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/no-abuse-is-acceptable-zero-tolerance/

The RCMP itself now here by their own poor actions are again guilty of racial profiling and of homicide, aiding and abetting a murderous act… and the RCMP should now be fully prosecuted by the law for it. I do not accept the abuse of even one persons rights quietly and rightfully now as well. The related RCMP managements itself should be fired, removed from their job as a direct result too.

“On Sept. 18, 2008, a 911 operator received a report of shots fired inside a rural Mission home. A transcript indicated that when the dispatcher relayed the information to the local RCMP detachment, the officer on duty, Constable Mike White, responded, “Six gunshots in a row and a crash,” and then was heard laughing.Constable White went to the home – and three minutes later left without even getting out of his car. (Another RCMP officer and an auxiliary member also attended in a separate vehicle, but did not get out of their car either).Four days later, the Mounties were called to the home again. Inside, they found one man dead and a woman alive but barely clinging to life. She died en route to hospital. The parents of the dead woman, Mark and Rosemarie Surakka, lodged a complaint with the RCMP concerning the conduct of the senior investigating officer – Constable White. They contended that their daughter, Lisa Dudley, would likely be alive today had the officer done his job properly and gone inside the house the night the shots were fired. The officer, now a corporal – he was promoted less than a month after the incident – faced a disciplinary hearing this year for his actions in 2008. The hearing came about mostly because of pressure put on the Mounties by the Surakkas. It lasted less than an hour. The officer was formally reprimanded and docked a day’s pay. And that was it.”  http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/british-columbia/gary_mason/shoddy-policing-and-accountability-show-rcmp-in-bc-have-learned-very-little/

The death of a citizen clearly does not matter to the RCMP unacceptably, and clearly the bad police were, are afraid of gunshots, so they do not act.. but still the constable could have saved a life had he just done his job.. he did not do his job so he should be along with the others be dismissed from his job permanently

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2011/06/28/its-time-to-replace-the-rcmp/.

Self Masturbation are still the main approach of RCMP internal reviews. The RCMP must still go!
