Anyone doubt the oil producers and sellers are greedy hogs?

You can tell this by their continual price increases, often not justified..

The Alberta and federal governments have said the Oil sand pipeline is crucial to  building new markets for the country’s resources. But environmental,  aboriginal and social action groups say the risks of a pipeline rupture or oil  tanker spill are too great. Money the root of all evil is evident here too..

Can it get worse.. yes!  What about the hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) attempts  to  free trapped natural gas deposits. It’s   fiercely opposed by environmentalists , and they also now rightfuly do even oppose   the development of Canada’s oilsands, because of real, legimate concerns, causes other major  environmental damage, also pollutes the undergound waters and also the rivers next too, concerns include  environmental effects on air and water quality, and  the risk of oil spills. Concerns even that fracking increases methane concentrations in underground water tables.. concerns that the oil transporters would never aaccount for every “little oops”, or big oil spills   in the BC wilderness and elsewhere.

Now the cost of the oil sands production and transportation  is overall  horrendous and filled with risks of serious environmental  damages…  existing oil piplines alread leak too often..  Canada’s oil sands now also do require more energy to extract and refine crude, and that means a greater release of greenhouse gases than from refining conventional oil. The oil industry is a multi-billion transnational industry backed by a C anadian Tory  government that will peddle  the tarsands to any foreign buyer who will bite.

“Plus, there is no guarantee that jobs created from pipelines will be safe,  well-paying, and permanent. In the tarsands, multinational corporations prefer  cheap, exploitable, and disposable labour, especially migrant workers. Last  year, the Petroleum Human Resources Council sought an additional 100,000 migrant  workers to work on tarsands infrastructure. Much like the tragic legacy of  Chinese railway workers, the deaths of two Chinese migrant workers in 2007 is a  sober reminder of the dangers of this industry to the land and workers alike.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Natural Resource Minister Joe Oliver have also now been taken to task recently  for their false distortions, diversions, their desperate theories aboutall those  radical foreign environmentalists and  the socialists, billionaires hijacking the Enbridge Oil Pipleine Joint Review Panel hearings.

The $5.5-billion proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline would cross  1,000 rivers and streams, including the Fraser and Skeena headwaters.  Supertankers, with capacity of up to two million barrels of oil, would  criss-cross along coastal waters. The 1,172-kilometre pipeline would also impact  the Great Bear Rainforest, one of the last intact temperate coastal rain forests  on our planet and the only home to the rare spirit bear. Enbridge has reported a  total of 610 spills between 1999 and 2008 from its various projects. The proposed pipeline traverses the territories of 65 first nations, of which  at least 61 have declared their opposition. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/canada-in-afghanistan/Enbridge+pipeline+distortions/6016517/story.html

Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservatives and the pro-oilsands website EthicalOil.org take Canadian environmental groups to task for accepting money from big American foundations to finance their campaigns against the oilsands. Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver accused “environmental and other radical groups” of trying to use money from “foreign special-interest groups” to hijack hearings on a pipeline that would bring Alberta oilsands bitumen to a port on the British Columbia coast. But the Canadian government seems to have no qualms accepting grant money from private U.S. foundations — including some of the same organizations that gave to Canadian environmental groups.

.

The federal government considers environmental and aboriginal groups “adversaries” when it comes to the oilsands, according to documents obtained under access to information laws.   “The documents show that the government, for a long time, has had a plan for promoting the tarsands, which is based on an elaborate public relations strategy and attacking people they see as enemies, rather that actually trying to clean up the problem,”“The documents show that the government, for a long time, has had a plan for promoting the tarsands, which is based on an elaborate public relations strategy and attacking people they see as enemies, rather that actually trying to clean up the problem,”

125 birds killed and people next..

Latest news.. they did it again

Alberta — About 125 birds were euthanized after landing on a Syncrude oilsands tailings pond Mc Murray, Alberta  just three days after the energy giant received the highest environmental fine in Alberta history. About 125 of the 200 birds were euthanized after coming in contact with the bitumen, the company said in the statement.

Syncrude Canada now estimates at least 350 birds have died after landing on one of its toxic tailings ponds in northern Alberta.Federal NDP environment critic Linda Duncan, who is also an Alberta MP, said the time has come to shut down the tailings ponds. Mike Hudema of the environmental activist group Greenpeace said the latest incident proves that nothing has changed.

Provincial environment officials are investigating. Premier Ed Stelmach said he’s angry about what happened, but noted an investigation is ongoing. “This is sad and disappointing in light of the conclusion of the court proceedings and the judge’s decision last week,” Stelmach told the legislature. “The regulations are there, and obviously we not only enforce them but we took Syncrude to court with the federal government.” Alberta Environment Minister Rob Renner called the incident “discouraging in the extreme.” “I cannot express how disappointed and frustrated I am that this incident occurred,” Renner told reporters at the legislature. “Albertans deserve answers to why this happened again and we will do everything we can to get those answers as quickly as we can.”

Syncrude was sentenced on Friday for failing to take reasonable action to prevent the deaths of more than 1,600 ducks at a toxic tailings pond more than two years ago. The company was fined a $3 million — a penalty some environmental advocates contended was too low.The 2008 tailings pond duck deaths garnered international headlines and served as a rallying call for environmental groups and politicians who are pushing the Alberta government to phase-out toxic waste water ponds.  People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.

– BRIAN MULRONEY IS FOUND NOW  GUILTY OF IMMORAL CONDUCT AND WE DID NOT NEED TO SPEND 16 MILLION OF TAX PAYERS MONEY FOR  MR.  JUSTICE JEFFREY OLIPHANT’S GAGGED  AND  LIMITED REVIEW TO CONFIRM WHAT MOST OF US HAD ALREADY RIGHTFULLY BELIEVED.. WHAT WE NEED IS FOR BRIAN TO PAY FOR ALL OF THESE COSTS ASAP RATHER EVEN HIS OWN LEGAL COSTS

Ottawa should recoup $2.1-million from former prime minister’s lawyers and public-relations team in 1997 settlement, plus the full costs of the latest  inquiry. What the useless Mounties could not find out.. Brian’s sins.. RCMP’s false favourite excuses for their much too many incompetencies are: they are under paid, over worked, short staffed, poorly managed or someone else is to blame too.. RCMP rather were the wrong type of people hired for the job firstly.. RCMP should be fired and replaced ASAP rather. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/17/remembering-brian-mulroneys-conservative-party/

Mulroney’s actions ‘inappropriate,’ Oliphant says Globe and Mail –  Former prime minister Brian Mulroney accepted cash-stuffed envelopes from Karlheinz Schreiber “as part of a scheme” to conceal the payments, a commission of inquiry has found. But after spending at least $14-million, listening to 39 days of testimony and reviewing 150,000 pages of evidence, the Oliphant inquiry couldn’t say what he did to earn it.In a sometimes scathing examination of Mr. Mulroney’s acceptance of at least $225,000 in cash from the German-born, and now incarcerated, lobbyist, Mr. Justice Jeffrey Oliphant, the inquiry’s chair, repeatedly called Mr. Mulroney’s actions “inappropriate.”

Police, Others Pretentious, incompetent in real life.

 PARKING

SADLY POLICE TEND TO SPEND MOST OF THEIR ENERGY IT SEEMS ON SPEEDING, PARKING,  TRAFFIC TICKETS AND NOT ON THE DRUNK DRIVERS, OR ON THE REAL CRIMINALS THESE DAYS TOO. Why?

And the lying no good police Public Relationship spin doctors and their false supporters now  too will next try to deny it.  By the sheer numbers of bad guys who get away with it many of us seem to get the impression the Police have never faced or dealt with criminals before too.. or are they wasting their time elsewhere? Car Speeders are much easier to find, to see and to convict over the real criminals now! So the Police spend much of their resources here instead.  Majority of criminals firstly are never caught, convicted, fully incarcerated even because existing laws are not adequately enforced  still by the too often pretentious, incompetent police, RCMP included now.

Vincent Lacroix pleads guilty to fraud.. The guilty plea surprised many watchers Monday morning, including hundreds of investors who fell victim to the fraud scam. “If Vincent Lacroix had to answer questions [on the stand] we would have gotten information, and we could have known where the money went,” said Jean-Guy Houle, who lost some of his life savings to Norbourg. Another Corporate CROOK has fallen … thousands to go.  6 months at a minimum security prison…….  Wanna bet? for 100 million… Hahahahahaha!!!!! This will be seen as “justice” by the Crown because Lacroix will have to fly back from his private yacht in the Caribbean and check in with his probation officer every few months. Poor guy! Pre-emptying the conservatives promise to get tough on white collar crime?  , “NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER”… all nice and shiny on the outside, but rotten as hell on the inside.    http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/2009/09/21/quebec-norbourg-fraud-guilty.html

MONTREAL – Vincent Lacroix, the former head of Norbourg Inc., has pleaded guilty to 200 fraud-related charges.  Lacroix entered the pleas in a Montreal courtroom this morning and was immediately ordered incarcerated.  Sentencing arguments will be heard Friday. Lacroix had been accused of defrauding 9,200 investors and illegally appropriating more than $100 million.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090921/national/crime_fraud_lacroix

Thousands  and thousands of persons get  hurt, victimized now too.  The  maximum sentence for White collar crime fraud is  from 10 years to 14 years, not including parole, time served credit now too,  does not mean much if still most of the criminals do not get caught and convicted by the police in the first place.  Many people also undeniably now  blame the cops for the existence of the much too many crooked white collared crimes, business persons, and bad stockbrokers, bad civil and public servants  in reality  It is not just many  Quebecers but even also Calgary seniors who lost  in alleged Ponzi frauds http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/2009/09/15/calgary-ponzi-couple-borst-sorensen-gold.html

Victims burned while RCMP fiddled for years with Alberta Ponzi scheme Vancouver Sun  Estimates of total losses range from $100 million to $400 million. Brost is out on bail, and Sorenson is believed to be hiding in Honduras.

Coquitlam RCMP officer charged for drunk driving. A B.C. RCMP officer has been charged with impaired driving after being stopped by members of his own detachment on his way from the Boulevard Casino in Coquitlam early Friday morning. The officer was released from custody on a promise to appear in a Port Coquitlam court on Jan. 10, 2010. The name of the officer has not been released, but police did say he has been moved to administrative duties pending the completion of the criminal investigation and a parallel internal investigation. Drunk driving is beyond stupid… *Especially* when it’s a cop.  I just can’t understand why anyone would drive drunk. Especially a police officer.  What the hell is wrong with these people? Not good. Way too much of this going on. The RCMP and police forces in general are really losing respect and credibility. This stuff sure doesn’t help. at least they didn’t try cover it up…yet.

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2009/09/25/bc-coquitlam-rcmp-impaired-driving.html

Being Pretentious and incompetent that is nothing now new BUT STILL  the sadly reality of many of our public and civil servants, cops, RCMP, political, regulating societies now included… and youoften  find out generally the hard way that truth when you are mow necessitated to try to use their services.. and not before.

bad.APPLE

Diane Urquhart, a prominent investor advocate in Canada, said Thursday that Alberta and Quebec are the hot spots in the country for investor fraud. She said provincial securities commissions are ill-equipped to monitor and enforce illegal activity. “The securities commissions are not qualified to deter these Ponzi schemes,” said Urquhart, who was in Ottawa earlier this week urging the federal government to crack down on white-collar criminals.    “None of the security commissions in the country are effective,” she said. “Enforcement of securities laws and of the federal Criminal Code for securities is grossly deficient and has been for years.” Urquhart calling on the Alberta government to spend an additional $6 million to hire 20 new fraud police officers and help form an expert securities crime unit. “If we’re again going to have investor confidence in the regulatory process, it’s up to the government to ensure our rules are rigorously enforced,”   “If we’re willing to rigorously enforce our rules, the shady characters will move on.” Liberal finance critic Hugh MacDonald

Since clearly 2/3 of us do not respect cops, or the RCMP, governments, civil and public servants  in the first place.. they are all  so right too.
RECOGNITION COMMERCIAL CRIME IN CANADA? GOES ON ALL THE TIME EVEN IN THE GOVERNMENTS  NOW TOO..  AND UNPROSECUTED STILL MOSTLY.

The rich and middle class are (OFTEN) greedy, self serving, whining, and cheap. They want bargains, they want it free or they want someone to gift it to them. The lions share of them resent paying taxes, and god forbid they should pay their employees a living wage. ” Forget about your money ..Canada is very easy on the scammers especially those working in financial sectors. Just look at the banks, insurance companies, their fees are just like legalized loan sharks. Have U seen  if our Government does anything??”  http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2009/09/15/f-new-ponzi-backgrounder-2009.html

IT IS THEIR BASIC GREED, OF CITIZENS, COPS, CIVIL AND PUBLIC SERVANTS, PROFESSIONALS INCLUDED, THAT MAKES MANY OF THEM   SADLY ALSO AN EASY TARGET FOR OR PARTICPATING IN FRAUD NOW AS WELL , some of them even next becoming also REAL crimminals never the less.

N.L. spending scandal nets another guilty plea .  Wally Andersen has pleaded guilty in Newfoundland and Labrador’s spending scandal,  Andersen pleaded guilty in a St. John’s court   to uttering forged documents and breach of trust by a public officer. The former Liberal MHA resigned his Torngat Mountains seat.  Reports filed by N.L. Auditor General John Noseworthy said Andersen received $344,465 more than he was entitled to through his constituency allowances. Former Tory cabinet minister Ed Byrne was sentenced to a jail term of two years less a day in April after he admitted to forging documents and faking signatures while stealing more than $117,000 through his tax-free constituency allowances.  Former New Democrat MHA Randy Collins also pleaded guilty to two fraud charges when he appeared in court last week. He’ll be sentenced in December.  There doesn’t seen to be any ethical requirement to become an elected representative. Politicians – right up there with used car salesmen.  Just another corrupt Politician , federal or provincial they are all the same. Amazing…all three parties found guilty of fraud. Makes you wonder who exactly you are supposed to vote for. When caught being corrupt—do we get to take their pensions away? And if not ,why not? As the courts will, as usual, hand out a slap on the wrist punishment–taking the pension would at least hurt a bit. As well as send a message.

Mayor cancels Montreal’s $355M water meter contract. Tremblay said Tuesday two of the city’s top bureaucrats — city manager Claude Léger and the city’s director of corporate affairs, Robert Cassius de Linval — have been fired. The move comes after the city’s auditor general recommended the city review — and consider cancelling — its contract with private consortium GÉNIeau because of irregularities with the tendering process  What about the $11 million that was paid to these guys for city repairs? Let’s just agree the whole system is bloody corrupt, eh? It seems Newfoundland politicians are pleading guilty to fast and loose spending, Ontario’s e-health looked outrageous, Ottawa’s mayer did a backroom deal… The repairs were never done, but the money was still paid. Maybe that explains the yacht in the Caribbean…  Criminals – the whole lot of them.  These type of stories always make me wonder – how many other dubious contracts are signed wasting our tax dollars?  Until people start getting fired and criminal charges are laid, these type of under the table deals will continue.  And we wonder why services continue to go down as taxes continue to go up. I say amend the criminal code to include a mandatory 5 year minimum jail sentence and a fine not less than 10 times the money involved, for breach of public trust. This amendment would cover all forms of corruption from conflict of interest to false accounting. By the time the first dozen or so of these crooks have been banged up – the rest won’t find public office so attractive once they know they can’t fleece the taxpayer. Calgary isn’t exactly squeaky clean as well nor Toronto.. “Zampino admitted he vacationed on Accurso’s yacht in the Caribbean during the tender process for the contract.” You’re not allowed to even speak to respondents to a bid outside of the allotted presentation/Q&A time never mind have a romance on the guys yacht in the Caribbean. This is no different than E-health. Bring this clown out of retirement and fire him and then send him to jail. Crooked politicians are crooked politicians not matter which province they come from.

DO SEE…

AND THE FIRST POLL THEY SHOULD DO IS TO FIND OUT IF ANYONE EVEN TRUST THE
P0LLERS AFTER ALL STAISTIC FIGURES CAN BE MADE NEXT TO LIE.

According to a new Nanos Research poll, which as stated before I do not trust, The poll was conducted by Nanos Research. Results are based on a national random telephone survey of 1,003 adult Canadians, between August 28 and September 2, 2009 Please tell me how you would rate the honesty and ethics of people in the following professions. Would you rate their honesty and ethics as  Total Very high High Average Low Very low Unsure

– Canadians rate physicians and pharmacists highest among 18 professions, when it comes to honesty and ethics.

Seventy-seven per cent of respondents call medical doctors’ standards of honesty and ethics “high” or “very high”, while the figure was 73 per cent for community pharmacists. While I trust them I always still get a SECOND OPINION TO BE ON THE RIGHT, SAFE SIDE. My Canadian Experience has taught me that gray haired doctors are more component firstly, built even gray haired doctors can be charge car happy and prescribe useless medical test too now.  And Pharmacists are here to make as much  money as they can  and some wrongfully push the more profitable, higher money making drugs.. in fact one product recommend to me by a Pharmacist at 9.99 $ sold for  1$ elsewhere.– Also among the   professions whose honesty and ethics were rated as “high” or “very high”, were high school teachers at 66 per cent, and police officers at 58 per cent.  40 percent of persons do not trust cops? My opinion of cops went much lower when I myself had actually tried to use their services in reality. Many people also undeniably now  blame the cops for the existence of the much too many crooked white collared crimes, business persons, and bad stockbrokers, bad civil and public servants  in reality

– and clergy at the   50 per cent. What 50 percent of persons do not trust the clergy? OR  Funeral directors or accountants

ACTUALLY IF YOU NEXT DO SPEND ONE DAY WORKING DIRECTLY WITH A CLERGY  YOUR OPINION MIGHT SIGNIFICANTLY WORSEN, FOR  I KNOW MINE ALWAYS HAS.

 – Majority of persons do not trust : Journalists,  Labour union leaders ,  Provincial government officials,   Building contractors ,  Lawyers ,  Bankers ,  Real estate agents,   MPP’s/MLA’s ,  Car salespeople ,  Business executives , Stockbrokers.  Politicians known to be as bad as the used car  salesmen

THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE FOR WE SEEM TO ALSO THINK MOST OF THESE PEOPLE CAN BE EASILY BOUGHT OR WILL SELL THEMSELVES FOR MONEY

And with all the latest recession, Ponzi scandals it is not surprising that the Business executives and  Stockbrokers are not trustworthy .

And most PEOPLE STILL DO THINK THAT ALL CEOs ARE SIGNIFICANTLY OVERPAID.. and even the University administrators

Now we should note how many Canadians hate the big three, Bell Corporations , Rogers, Telus for a start as well.

And it was the ongoing  Canadian opposition to the unacceptably bad  Mulroney Progressive Conservative government, both in the east and in the west too, that next spawned two major political parties that were to dominate next the political landscape for decades: the Reform Party and the Bloc Quebecois, both basically still a real  force to be reckoned with on the federal scene and all helped to kill the federal PC party too. The Liberal party was able to capitalize on the clearly evident  Mulroney dissatifactions for 13 years and the much hated GST introduced by him, the General Sales Tax, until also next the PCs and Canadian Alliance (the old Reform party) managed to unite to form the New Conservatives under Stephen Harper with lead to only a minority Harper government still.. all that  happened, ironically, with the help of Brian Mulroney poor management.. poor legacy, so what is there now for Brian Mulroney to celebrate in reality? Nothing! and who can deny the legacy of his that because of the loser Brian Mulroney and his party’s arrogance arrogance, stupidity, indifference,  uncaring attitudes as well this same federal Conservative political party ceased to exist even in name after that… and Brian Mulroney in reality NEXT  became one of the most disliked Prime Minister of Canada, even in his own province of Quebec.. yeah what glory day’s they now where.. A ONCE SOLID political party all dissolved into non existence… and who would want this part of history repeated, in reality many Canadians still today, 2/3, to have the federal Conservative Party wiped off the pages of History again and again.. It was one of the biggest DISAPPEARING ACT  in Canadian history.

It was, is Brian Muloney’s oppostion that next propped up the Stephen Harper new bad Conservative government still today ironically. Now we also do need the new Conservative party of Stephen Harper’s wiped of the face of the earth rightfully as well.

YEAH THOSE WHERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS TO SEE BRIAN MULRONEY WIPED OUT BY THE LIBERALS  AND HIS PARTY GONE FOREVER.. LET US ALL REMEMBER THEM AGAIN NOW.. MAY SUCH GREAT HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF FOREVER TOO.

(Eccl 7:8 KJV)  Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

And who can forget that recently a federal parliamentary committee asked  Karlheinz Schreiber, a German-Canadian businessman to testify in an ethics probe of his dealings with Mulroney.  Where the same Mulroney has told the public inquiry he secretly took $225,000 cash to lobby internationally on behalf of a Schreiber-promoted plan to build light-armoured vehicles in Canada. Schreiber says he paid Mulroney $300,000 to lobby domestically on behalf of the German-sponsored project.. Mulroney next had  told the federal inquiry there was nothing “sinister” about him secretly accepting the cash-stuffed envelopes from Schreiber at dufferent  hotels in the 16 months after he stepped down as prime minister in the summer of 1993 and next also failing to report this income to the income tax deparment as needed too. What else did he Mulroney also do in secret we do not fully know?

Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney had responded  to the many allegations that he was a bad PM , he always fought the serious accusations that have been made against him, was  innocent, confident of full exoneration,  he strived to clear his name but not every one believed him.

BRIAN’S LEGACY ALSO TEND TO REMIND US HOW PRETENTIOUS, INCOMPETENT THE RCMP and the government too  WAS, IS IN DEALING WITH REAL CRIMES NOW TOO.. RCMP’s false favourite excuses for their much too many incompetencies are: they are under paid, over worked, short staffed, poorly managed or someone else  are just more big coverups..

To Dominique La Salle Director General Seniors and Pensions Policy Secretariat Income Security and Social Development Branch

You are a clearly still a very pretentious person and also a fool  when you suggest me now to do now  things that I have already done  and everyone knows  it too!

Now my father    a senior was undeniably abused now.. and what did you, the police, the justice ministers, the PM do about it? nothing really still..

Now what about me rather being able to get a real justice, and an adequate response still here firstly too?

Or do I first have to give a bribe to the Conservative Party? and also post it all on the internet first for all to read?

and how do you expect most of the police officers now to act firstly when police management still Canada wide, RCMP included now, tend to prefer to clearly  hire the bad guys, bullies, ignoramuses  for cops and tend not to hire   the more decent, moral, intelligent persons. The RCMP itself has become Canada’s biggest choke.

Subject: The Shotgun: For the last time, Harper is not a social conservative
Prime Minister Stephen Harper basically still is just another lieberal opportunist who often still lets his power hungry  ethics slide down and  also the Harper Conservatives hate women by not paying them equal salary to the men still too.

When Stephen Harper’s Conservatives came to power in 2006, they took to calling themselves Canada’s better New Government, claiming  to signal  a break from the discredited Liberal way of running the country. Now accountability, openness and ethics would prevail in government. HA HA HA, and  that did not last long.

Now Harper Conservatives government has been stone walling  the  security documents from the eyes of Parliament, and citizens, stone walling the auditor general’s request to audit MP’s expenses and falsely refusing to allow ministers’ aides to testify before committees. We even have Tony Clement, the Industry Minister, flogging products to China on behalf of a private company over needs of the citizens who elected him? Looked at the phone, internet, gas price gouging prices lately?  Mr. Clement  he dos not have a clear political interest in being seen to help any constituent or the citizens?

Under Harper  the RCMP is just as bad as under the Lieberals too

“The longer they remain in power, the more the Conservatives have let their moral standards slide. Favoured treatment for friends of the party. Seats in the Senate for big donors. An easy ride for cabinet members who are favoured by the Prime Minister” for they are not  any different from the Liberals they replaced! Harper’s staff, civil and public servants do not reply to the citizens letters any better over the lieberals too

WHEN IT COMES TO MY PERSONAL HEALTH I RIGHTFULLY DO NOT ACCEPT PRETENTIOUS, INADEQUATE MEDICAL SERVICES.

Now what about me rather being able to get a real competent doctor, and valid medicine that works still here firstly too? Or do I first have to give a bribe to the Liberal party? and also post it all on the internet first for all to read?

One of Harper’s boys in trouble

jaffer001Stop the Press

Former Edmonton-Strathcona MP Rahim Jaffer responded now to allegations he was driving drunk and carrying cocaine when Ontario police arrested him last weekend. “I intend to fight the serious accusations that have been made against me”, “I am innocent and am confident of full exoneration… I strive to clear my name.”

Tory MP who led anti-drug campaign charged with cocaine possession  OTTAWA – The former chairman of the Conservative caucus who was featured in anti-drug campaign ads is facing charges of cocaine possession and drunk driving. Prime Minister Stephen Harper named Jaffer chairman of the Conservative caucus shortly after the 2006 general election. Jaffer, 37, was MP for the riding of Edmonton-Strathcona from 1997 until a surprise defeat in last year’s election to the NDP’s Linda Duncan. Jaffer recently worked for Green Power Generation Corporation, which helps bring alternative energy technologies to market.“The Conservative party supports drug-free schools and getting tough on drug dealers who sell illegal drugs to children. Don’t let our schools go up in smoke.” Perverse Rahim Jaffer, OTTAWA — Former Edmonton Conservative MP Rahim Jaffer is facing charges of drunk driving and cocaine possession. Jaffer, husband of Tory MP Helena Geurgis, was arrested just after midnight last Thursday night by Ontario Provincial Police in Palgrave, north of Toronto. He has been charged with driving while over the legal blood-alcohol limit, and with possession of cocaine. His licence has been suspended for 90 days and he is to appear in court in Orangeville, Ont., on Oct. 19.  http://www.edmontonsun.com/news/canada/2009/09/16/10941746.html

A fine representative of the conservatives.. conservative = hypocrite, Rahim Jaffer = LOSER.. Good thing he no longer representing his riding anymore!   I’ve often believed that my fellow Albertans would vote for almost anyone, regardless of all factors, as long as they were running as a conservative. Tough on Crime…… except when we do it. The Conservative Party of Harper.. Now we know what type of people can be involved with certain parties…… When Conservatives say “Tough on Crime” they mean “For Other People. Par for the course: exemplary Conservative morals. It’s the hypocricy that grates on me. A former member and cabinet minister, now employee, of a government that wants to make criminals of many of us, and spend our money building jails — even as they break their own laws … Yeah, and you can gaurantee this behavior only occured AFTER his time on parliament hill…  What about mandatory random drug tests for MPs? Truckers are subjected to them. Or better yet, let the truckers run the country, at least we know they aren’t high… this event is yet another illustration of the moral hypocrisy of the Reformatories, of which Mr. Jaffer was once considered a leading light. In the morning he will be assigned to the senate! The Conservatives want to get tough on crime. I advocate mandatory drug testing for every so-called “public servant.” I am not surprised, there was someone on here the other day that posted a list of offences that members of Parliament had been convicted of, or had gone through (bankruptcies, wife beating, etc.),  Here’s there chance.  Drinking and drivng and speeding and found with cocaine by police sounds pretty solid to me. “Something is strange. He was pulled over last Thursday night/Friday morning. This incident has been made public today. What was happening in the meantime. His wife who is a conservative MP was negotiating with the police through Harper? And it didn’t work?  Harper’s favourite attack dog in previous parliaments accused of two serious crimes–are riveting. How will the Harper hypocrites slither out of this one? (Lotsa spin and a passive press corps, I’m guessing.) does he get a mandatory prison time as the cons like to talk about all the time. I think not.  Will Stephen Harper backtrack on his “tough on crime” policies now, then?He was one of Harper’s finest. No special privileges for Rahim. He broke the law, now he must take responsibility for his actions. Sort of brings a smile to my face to read about this pompous …. Is this not the same person that embellished his educational background a few years back? I hope that they throw the book at you! How dumb can you get? I hope they throw the book at this hypocrite!  typical conservative hypocrite crook…. no surprise…. So can we expect the “Law and Order” crowd who are always demanding to get tough on crime to be out front demanding a stiff sentance for Rahim IF he is convicted?   Conservatives are tough on crime. They demand criminals to do time! Please show us the justice by your example! http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/16/rahim-jaffer-arrest-impaired-cocaine.html

Hey I have already many times written that Alcohol is also a big part of many a Conservative politicians life, and I  wanted to know how many of them now were alcoholics too.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/drink-alcohol-and-die/

Meanwhile in  VANCOUVER — A $5 million legal bill for defending a religious order against charges of sexual abuse has landed a B.C. senator in hot water. Sen. Mobina Jaffer, a Liberal appointment to Canada’s upper chamber, must undergo a conduct review, the Law Society of B.C. announced Tuesday. The Order of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate sued Jaffer, her son Azool Jaffer-Jeraj and their firm, accusing them of overbilling the order for legal work done from 2000 to 2004. The lawsuit was settled before it went to trial.  Now the case will proceed to a conduct review. “Undergoing a conduct review is a serious matter for any lawyer,” said Stuart Cameron, the society’s director of discipline. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/senator+conduct+reviewed+over+legal+bill/1997712/story.html

Ms. Mobina Jaffer was appointed as a Senator to represent British Columbia in June of 2001.  Having been born in Uganda, and trained in law in Britain she had a  career as a lawyer and was active on many legal and charitable foundations, as well as being involved in local politics.  She was the first Muslim ever appointed to the Senate and the first African-born as well. Ms. Jaffer is the deputy chair of the Senate Committee for Human Rights and also sits on the Committees for Official Languages, Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration and the joint committee for the Library of Parliament.

Anyone checked her Senate expense accounts yet too? You all also already know I  have very little respect for the lawyers too…

Feds Under Stephen Harper’s conservatives had spent thousands on golf balls, candy, toys  OTTAWA – They spent thousands of dollars last year on golf balls, candy, flowers, tickets to gala events and coupons for Tim Hortons. And you paid for it. Documents tabled in the House of Commons this week reveal that while Canadians were tightening their belt and bracing for the recession, many civil servants were continuing to spend thousands of dollars of taxpayers money on frills and small perks of the job. Moreover, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.  http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Politics/2009/09/16/10943871-sun.html

and I rightfully oppose the fact there are too many crooked public and civil servants still in Canada as well.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/13/stop-the-crooks-in-the-governments/

I can see why even the Liberal Iggy does not want to discuss it, it puts all the MPs, Senators  in a bad light.. but the citizens readily talk about it..

I too do  find it rightfully interesting that m any a bad civil and public servants, including cops , RCMP too, politicians, lawyers now too,  their  sins, or hypocritical acts are often  been revealed, exposed to all in Canada, and  Canada wide as well.. My dad calls them all parasites.

“When I raise the subject of politics with my grandfather, it usually comes down to the statement, “They’re all crooks!” I used to have faith in our politicians to put the interests of Canadians first, but I’ve become less idealistic. It seems to me the time for greatness in Canadian politics has come and gone.” http://www.queensjournal.ca/story/2009-09-18/opinions/raising-political-bar/

PM Harper forced into a COALITION with Separatists and Socialists!

C-BQ

Political irony -While running TV ads accusing the Liberals of plotting a coalition with the NDP and Bloc Québécois, the Conservatives hypocrtically joined forces with those two parties to avoid defeat in Parliament. “I’ve taken my responsibility, which is I’ve said I can’t support this government any longer. It’s up to the other parties to decide what they’re going to do – Liberal Leader Michael Ignatief

Commons passes confidence motion CBC.ca –  The House of Commons has passed a crucial ways-and-means motion that has temporarily saved Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s minority government from potentially facing an election campaign.

And a Prime Minister who has railed about the dangers of the Liberals forming a coalition with “socialists and the separatists” now really does the same thing basically… and he lives on to talk about it.. and the Liberals have become the Official oppostion party now in reality. A constant theme of Stephen Harpers common attack  ads focuses on Liberal’s Ignatieff’s apparent willingness to govern in a coalition with the Bloc Quebecois and the NDP when the House appeared ready to fall last December. Ironically, it is those same “socialists and separatists” who are saving Prime Minister Stephen Harper from facing the electorate . While running TV ads accusing the Liberals of plotting a coalition with the NDP and Bloc Québécois, the Conservatives joined forces with those two parties to avoid defeat in Parliament. To trigger an election, all three opposition parties would have to vote to defeat the government.

Refuse the leftist, socialist, seperatist Bloc Support? Harper cannot? Harper now staying in power clearly outdoes even his own past  “socialist” and “separatist” labels, Conservatives humbled, they would still need opposition party support to govern. http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/10/15/canada-harper-failed-again-in-an-attempt-to-win-majority-government/

Bloc support for Tories to avert election call.. The Bloc Québécois will support the Conservative government’s budget motion on Friday, averting a federal election call this week. The government is bringing forward a financial ways-and-means motion, which includes the popular tax credits for home renovation. It is considered a confidence issue and its defeat could trigger an election. Bloc Leader Gilles Duceppe said his party had gone over the motion and supports it, in particular the tax credit. His party asked for the tax credit last November, and Duceppe said it would be idiotic to vote against it. The Bloc’s support means the minority Conservative government will survive at least until the first week of October, when the Liberals plan to introduce a no-confidence motion. But Duceppe said the government can’t count on his support for that one.  “On each issue we’re considering it at its own value. All in all, if we’re asked if we have confidence in [this] government, the answer is no.”   Separatists in bed with Conservative party that said they would never work with ‘the separatists’. SHAME Harper, your time is ticking. This country deserves so much better.  First the Tories say that the Liberals are evil if they support the socialists and the seperatists. Currently, the minority Conservatives are kept alive by being supported by the separtists and the socialists.  Then the socialists say the will support a right wing approach to unemployment. Then the Bloc says they will support the federalists. The Conservatives are being propped up by the socialists and the separatists. Who would have thought? NOW…. Does anyone believe that when they are voting they are actually voting for someone who really believes something?http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/15/bloc-election-motion.html

Canada’s prime minister Stephen Harper GOVERNMENT Harper to Survive  THIS WEEK WITH With Bloc Quebecois, Separatist Help. Imagine that the Conservatives going now to bed with their dreaded  devil.. Divide and conquer is now the BQ strategy, and it could just mean for now a Conservative majority. The Bloc Quebecois, Conservative  play comes at an opportune time, with Canada’s political parties  splintered mainly in four..  In elections past, the Conservative focus was on Ontario as the primary battleground and now it too is even on Quebec. Now in the past during the current election campaign Stephen Harper was calculatedly portraying the Conservatives as the only ‘real’ federalist choice is now rather seen as one that relies now on the BQ separatist to stay in Power. Clearly Ironic. If Harper pulls it off and gets the thumbs-up also  from his disenfranchised Westerners, with Bloc Quebecois voters, without eroding too much of his base in the West, he will be lucky for now only still…  There has been  clearly  in the past, present animosity between the two provinces, of Alberta and Quebec, and each time the Harper team had made a Quebec-friendly move the blogosphere buzzed with clearly offended, angry  Westerners.  For Traditionally, the clearly also self centered Albertans have believed that Ottawa has given Quebec far too much power,  While the Liberals and the NDP presented and ‘attack against Alberta and its evil oil-based economy to win the hearts and minds of the East’ and by detailing that the  western Harper as a person who has a scary hidden agenda’ strategies. So how will they react now in Alberta? How all ironic, and rather pathetic too.  Politics often now does even make strange bed fellows, and even my enemy, the enemies of my big enemy can be next  my friend.. NDP joins Bloc in propping up Tories

Harper’s own past “separatist VETO” message worked very well only outside of Quebec. By blaming the past federal parties coalition for their willingness to break up the country by working with the separatists, he Harper was able to portray them, the  coalition as an un-Canadian coalition  at least in the eyes of western English Canadians , How does Harper look in their eyes now? an un-Canadian even  with his own mud on his face?

Sadly now Harper will accept any help, do anything to stay in power again? and so next now in Alberta they will say nice thing about the separatist, Bloc Quebecois?

For many still Harper is hypocrite,  through his demonstrated  approach using any means for his twisted desires for maintain his rather uncontested and unrestricted power.

“This is no time for backroom deals with the separatists,” Prime Minister Stephen Harper  had once said too… but now Sleeping with the leftist, socialist , separatist Bloc for Harper  now is better than fighting them.. The past results of Harper’s own  attacks on the Bloc show that Harper’s this supposed battle to keep the country together resulted that  in Quebec that the Bloc gained more support while all other parties remained or lost ground. The same Conservative Stephen Harper who has in the past criticized now the Liberals and NDP for associating with the Bloc Québécois has now to thank them, the Bloc Québécois,  for rescuing him from a defeat in the House of Parliament  this week now.

The Conservatives, who hold 143 of the Commons’ 308 seats, need only one of the other three parties to vote with the government to avoid being toppled in a confidence vote. The Liberals have 77 seats, the NDP, 36, and the Bloc Québécois, 48. Forget  all of the spins, the values, principles openly proclaimed now, for every one of the federal politicians is merely figfhting to keep their pay and perks coming, or to get more?

The word “socialist” was, is too often misconstrued by the Tories and  for them takes on a new negative meaning… a meaning equivalent to being a communist.. But irrationally and hypocritical the Conservatives, Tories seem Cleary not to mind themselves now providing social welfare to big business still, such as the Banks, the Corporations, telecommunication firms, and automotive makers…..

The Liberals and the others have now always  supposedly become in the West  the very bad socialists, the known nation-wreckers for even getting into bed with the separatists,  in spite in the past federal Conservatives doing even  much the same thing..

Now we all were often also    told that  we all had an elected  Conservative government, didn’t we? But really that was Not true at all.  The fact that the Conservatives only  got a second-in-a-row Minority win, not a Majority win, for  more than 60 per cent of the Canadians actually had voted against them has somehow become next a lying spin the convincing Majority Conservative win. Now Harper and we all do sees what a minority government really is like.. it has to sleep with the others, get their approvals..

We were also being told we were going to have a coalition government of socialists and separatists, which we all had specifically voted against? And who is now coalitioning firstly with the separatists but Harper himself.. Such big Harper  lies still had shown to us all what the Conservatives wrongfully  are really like still too. Big  Liars.

“a recent speech Harper gave to his supporters, in which the prime minister warned that if the Conservatives don’t get a majority, the Liberals will govern in a coalition, “propped up by the socialists and the separatists.” “I find it curious that after weeks of berating the idea of a coalition, the prime minister seems to be hard at work forming one himself and with people that he referred to until this morning as socialists,” Ignatieff said. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/14/parliament-house-commons-vote281.html

Reality Canada’s prime Minister Stephen Harper Harper had engaged in double talk again. for in 2008  Stephen Harper and his supporters were denouncing the Liberal Party under then-leader Stephen Dion for entering into a coalition with the “separatist” Bloc Quebecois and the “socialist” NDP. It is Harper himself who will be propped up by these very “socialists” and “separatists” he has so denounced. Previously also  the NDP party too had engaged in  double talk , the NDP leader Jack Layton had denounced the Liberals for failing to providing a “real” opposition because the latter were continually voting to prop up the Conservatives on budgets and non-confidence issues. Layton accused the Liberals of failing to stand up for the working class and the unemployed and thus he also had stated that the NDP was the true opposition to Stephen Harper. At one press conference, Layton stated with respect to Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff that “you can’t do that (support the government) and pretend to be the alternate to Mr. Harper.” But  now? Jack Layton hypocritically was  voting to support the same bad government and cannot be still trying to retain the mantle of being “the alternate to Mr. Harper.” Layton has gone down in the popularity polls as a direct result now too.

For the Liberals and Ignatieff, all this was the best possible outcome. The Conservatives and the NDP came out looking bad, as liars, The Liberal leader Ignatieff strengthened his stature as a clear leader by clearly opposing the Harper government and he finally broke the curse of the Liberals being seen as mere Harper’s enablers. At the same time, because of the Bloc and NDP supporting the government, Ignatieff was able to avoid immediately  an election and was given more time to properly prepare for it now.

Transport Canada, others stealing taxpayer’s money

 0Access

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/13/stop-the-crooks-in-the-governments/

Former Quebec lieutenant-governor Lise Thibault will face six criminal charges in connection with her expense accounts. Not surprised at all… they should audit every single expense claim by people in such positions. Most civil and public servants do it but some do it on a larger scale. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/2009/09/25/thibault-charges.html

The Federal public servants at Transport Canada are routinely filing millions of dollars in expenses – including overtime, salaries and computers – toward a construction project that doesn’t exist. The Mackenzie Valley pipeline remains a mega-project that is perpetually on the horizon –The project seemed closer at hand when a fund was set up at Transport Canada six years ago so that the department could oversee the expected increase in air traffic and other transportation needs. Though the pipeline remains in limbo, the department has kept the fund alive year after year, using it to cover millions in expenses that have nothing to do with the pipeline. Documents released through access-to-information requests list the expenses, which total $10.7-million since 2004. Expenses continued to be billed to the pipeline project this year. ” So, when you consider that Chuck Guite (Sr. Public servant) and Paul Coffin (ad exec) started running their fake ad invoice scam during the Mulroney administration, it appears that the Liberals inherited AdScam from the Conservatives, does it not?  ”  “This is why our taxes are so high. Take this and the Gold that vanished at the Mint and the tab is through the roof. Anyone want to bet the Mint millions gets swept under the carpet?” ”   Too much time spent electioneering and not enough time spent runnin’ things. ” http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/transport-canada-fictitiously-expensing-millions/article1286306/

People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.

bad.APPLES

There’s something deeply ironic about all of this, and previous federal governments; they know that the cities, provinces that suppossedly drive the economy  they know they also do steal a lot of the money too..   Premier’s Letter To The Ontario Public Service

No such thing as a little bit pregnant, what other wrongs, thefts  are the civil and public servants doing and falsely covering up now? And now still all this being done while most Canadians now do live from paycheque to paycheque.  Majority of Canadian employees living paycheque to paycheque, survey shows

Is this how the rest of the federal economic stimulation  money will be now abused as well? Right under the federal Conservative Minister’s noses now as well?

HOW MUCH OF THE CANADIAN FEDERAL CONSERVATIVE RECESSION STIMULATION MONEY IS BUDGETED THIS YEAR ALONE, AND HOW MUCH HAS ACTUALLY BEEN ISSUED, AND HOW MANY REAL , NEW JOBS WERE ACTUALLY NOW CREATED AS A RESULT? NONE, AND THE MONEY IS ALL GONE?

The Conservative federal government is an unacceptably very poor manager of the taxpayer’s money now as well. The Federal Transfer payments make up a very large part of federal expenditures. The federal government is a  tax collector,  money expediter and an useless money administrator too, while the federal government’s own regular operating expenses for fiscal 2009-2010 will be only about a quarter of its total spending all the taxpayer’s money expenditures still needs to be supervised, yes held accountable for now as well.

Flaherty had said the government would clean up its books by restraining the growth in federal program spending over several years. That spending, now $241 billion a year, has been growing on average at a rapid 7 per cent annual rate since Harper took office. We can see why too.. the liars also all keep on allowing the taxpayer’s money to be stolen..

The Conservative federal Government expenditures since Harper came into office, his government expenditures have ballooned by over 30 per cent. They rather had increased spending by three times the rate of inflation in the three budgets before the recession hit, and now spend $40 billion more annually than the last Liberal government.   Consultants. Harper government spent nearly a billion dollars on consultants in its first two years in office: a 42-per-cent increase over the amount the previous Liberal government spent between 2004 and 2006 on consultants (Toronto Star, December 8, 2008). Ministerial expenses. Despite promising to tighten their belts, a Toronto Star analysis found that Conservative ministers are spending more than Liberals ever did in government (The Toronto Star, November 22, 2008), while Harper’s expansion of the federal cabinet last fall will cost taxpayers an additional $3.9 million in salaries alone for the extra ministers and their staff.  Polling. In 2007, the Harper government commissioned more than two polls per business day which totalled $31 million in the government’s first year of government.  Prime Minister’s Office. Last week it was revealed that spending in Prime Minister Harper’s own office soared by 14 per cent in a single year – the tune of a whopping $20 million. (Canwest News Service, September 4, 2009). http://www.liberal.ca/en/newsroom/media-releases/16292_when-pigs-fly-more-huffing-and-puffing-from-harpers-55-billion-man

Where is PM Stephen Harper’s promised restraint, accountability now as well?

Conservative Ministers merely  like to do all the talking but seem to bring no real, viable acts, actions  on the issues still too. Unacceptable.

And why is it that their only solution to any problem in Canada seems to involve a tax increase? Because sadly that even the Conservatives undeniably too  really are not better economic managers over the past Liberals..

The essential needed way to save our taxpayer’s money is still to look at how all of these public services are delivered – and no one  can  tell me that there are no cost-cutting savings to be achieved. Compare  say a city like Montreal or Toronto where exorbitant rates too now are also paid  for useless civil and public servants with their rather unskilled services – sadly this same phenomena can be seen in many federal ministries.

For a start all Ministers supervising better all of their expenditures, and bringing all of the subordinates  salaries and wages in line with the private sector would enable us firstly  to continue delivering public services at the same level, or more! It is the still the too often abusive civil and public servants spending that now also determines the still abusive personal taxes.

The sad unacceptable fact is that this type of taxpayer’s money abuse, practice is not an isolated case, but rather repeats itself often,  Canada wide at the federal, provincial, municipal levels undeniably too.. Money allotted is not used where it was originally supposed to be but often is transferred to some other department, account.. and how is it the auditor generals did  not pick it up for 10 years too? or refuse too?

Any Abuse of any taxpayers finds should be a criminal offence fully prosecutable by law, and should mean the immediate dismissal of all involved too, after all it is stealing the taxpayer’s money. Police, judges, supervisors  don’t tend to enforce it cause they do the same thing? All Unacceptable  still

We need better Policing and “Tougher penalties for sure!” You will get a longer jail sentence for robbing a convenience store of $50 than fleecing investors for millions (billions) or stealing any of the tax payer’s money.   “Also, put an end to double credit for pre-sentence incarceration!!” Put all of the criminals in jail, and their bad supervisors now too,  where they belong, and always do  take way from them all that they have stolen now as well.. and do start with the bad  civil and public servants now as well.

Feds promise mandatory jail time for major fraud. Judges could consider restitution for victims as part of white-collar crime bill

I’ve always found it funny that someone could steal a $2000 car and be sentenced to 20 years in jail. But steal 30 Million and you only do 18 months…. at Club Med. Excellent. There’s plenty of crime on Parliament Hill. Start your crackdown there. Are the politicians going to turn on their masters in Corporate Canada? How long will it take Harper to IGNORE this Law?.. Start with Mulroney. That would be a fine example to lead the charge with. There’s not a word in the legislation about obscene bonuses. Those will remain legal. Lock up all the CEOs! (Start with Bell…) Start with the telecommunication providers, and the banks. That’s great,  as long as the crackdown starts on parliament hill. Rob a thousand people of $100,000 each, that’s a crime. Rob a million people of $100 each by credit card interest rates that’s OK, that’s business. We should have election threats every months, it seems it’s the only way anything happens on the hill. Threaten an election and suddenly the legislative agenda is crammed with draft laws that should have been there months ago.  Harper – just another Calgarian running another Ponzi scheme… promising big returns but producing nothing of value. http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2009/09/15/white-collar-crime015.html

The government “moving ahead, with more taxes” is not  the most important thing that the province can do to strengthen the economy and create jobs but rather to seriously plug up the leaking  holes in the taxpayer’s pail of money first.

Ontario has announced new measures aimed at putting an end to recent controversies over government expense claims “The move is one of “four additional steps to protect taxpayer dollars and improve accountability,” Starting immediately, Ontario Public Service employees will be issued new, simplified guidelines for travel, meals and hospitality expenses. The province said it is also planning to increase the number of random audits it carries out on the province’s agencies, boards and commissions.   http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2009/09/14/ont-expenses.html  and  about time now too!

Quebec says it is intensifying police efforts to tackle corruption and financial fraud in the province amid a growing public furor over white-collar crime. The Charest government says a squad of about 20 provincial police investigators will be assigned to probe potential corruption – including the infiltration of organized crime – in the construction industry and municipal affairs. It will also bolster its police presence to track fraud with Quebec’s securities regulator, the Autorité des marchés financiers.  Meanwhile, with Montrealers going to the polls this fall, city hall is under a cloud for allegations of fraud, kickbacks and the inappropriate awarding of contracts. Multiple police investigations have been launched. Last week, a senior civil servant and a computer consultant were charged with defrauding the city of millions in a bogus billing scheme in the city’s computer division. While Quebec rejigs its police manpower, some have called for a public commission into the province’s construction industry and possible ties to organized crime.    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/quebec-cracks-down-or-corruption-white-collar-crime/article1286432/

Quebec “coming after” white collar criminals.. I hope they catch Chretien and Martin…   I hope the measures will also include effective tools to get the embezzled money back….  People like Vincent Lacroix and Earl Jones should also spend the rest of their lives making restitution to the people they stole from. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/2009/09/14/quebec-fraudsters-white-collar-criminals.html

and  why did it take so long to deal with white collared  crimes that have been clearly ongoing even in Quebec too now for decades, not just in all of Canada. Why? The Police  Commercial Crime divisions cops, RCMP included applauded the criminals.. cause they do the same thing?

Meanwhile Thousands of shipping containers enter Canada by rail each year without proper checks for illegal drugs and other contraband, says a new report. I don’t think that drugs is the only thing we have to worry about. Also What ought to be of far greater concern for all Canadians is the entry of illegal weapons into Canada. Perhaps the money wasted on arming our border guards could have been better spent trying to prevent these weapons from getting onto the streets of our cities..  it amazes me as to how much attention is given to taxpayers in arrears, and almost none given to canadian security.why are we paying these elected bufoons so much money, and allowing them huge pensions after so little time in office?expense accounts, vehicles, perks, and they cant even manage a railyard?theres better security at a rock concert! i wish they would work as hard for those of us who voted them in,as they do trying to get re-elected,,it makes ya wonder who the idiots are us or the politicians we voted form, what a mess. Regular citizens are getting worked over like never before and always without a smile! “Never worry, never fear” etc etc.  Not to mention the really top-notch work done by all Harper’s tough-on-crime policies and accountability… [this was a sarcastic comment for those who missed it]   http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/14/border-railway-inspect-train-drug.html

Ontario Premier McGuinty announced that expenses for cabinet ministers, political aides, top mandarins, and all senior executives at Ontario’s 22 largest agencies will be posted on the Internet as of next April 1. “We’re going to shine a light on all expenses so Ontarians will know who, exactly, is spending what, exactly,” the premier told reporters. The premier is girding for an onslaught of opposition attacks stemming from controversy over expenses and perks at the OLG and eHealth Ontario. NDP Leader Andrea Horwath said voters are tired of an “arrogant” government that seems to make things harder on taxpayers and easier for insiders. The waste of precious tax dollars on these scandals is unacceptable .. people are telling me they are fed up with a government not able to focus on putting the dollars where they belong,” “the Liberals’ “culture of entitlement.” http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/695359

TORONTO — Ontario’s health bureaucracy is facing yet another scandal in the wake of more revelations of spending and procurement abuses. In a special report released Wednesday morning, Auditor-General Jim McCarter outlines numerous problems at hospitals and local health integration networks (LHINs), regional funding agencies created by the Liberal government. McCarter points to the questionable hiring of pricey consultants, many of which were sole-sourced and often not required to justify the work they did. The report details a litany of questionable consulting gigs at hospitals, including one, worth $700,000, that was so vague it didn’t even list a detailed description of services needed. Another hospital completely failed to account for a $170,000 consultant contract, and was unable to produce the initial request for proposal, the names and number of firms invited to bid, the bidders’ proposals or any evaluation criteria used to reward the contract. The same firm was retained for another, $430,000 contract. Another hospital paid $8.3 million to one consulting firm for IT services over the past three fiscal years, including $180,000 the firm charges for each consultant it provides. The auditor’s report also details questionable expense claims by hospital consultants. They include one temporary executive who, despite his $275,000 annual salary, also billed the hospital nearly $150,000 for other consultants and administrative support, $14,000 for salary bonuses, foreign exchange fees and a Christmas luncheon, and numerous expensive hotels (including one, in Chicago, where he paid $500 for hotel phone charges) and lavish meals around the world. McCarter also questioned the use of lobbyists by half the 16 hospitals he audited.   “We questioned the appropriateness of using government funds to pay lobbyists to help obtain more government funding.”Health minister Deb Matthews reacted swiftly to the report, announcing legislation that will ban the use of lobbyists and open hospitals to freedom of information legislation by January 1, 2012.  The auditor-general also found “significant” problems with consultant contracts signed by LHINs The revelations contained in Wednesday’s report are reminiscent of those unearthed last December, when Mr. McCarter detailed spending abuses at eHealth Ontario. That agency, created by the Liberal government, was found to have given millions in sole-sourced contracts to high-priced consultants with few controls and little oversight.“I’m not afraid to say that I’m really sorry this has gone on,” said Matthews. “I don’t think this is acceptable. I don’t think we’ve been as accountable as we ought to have been. We owe it to taxpayers to ensure that every dollar they spend on taxes gets the best possible value.”   http://www.nationalpost.com/news/Ontario+Auditor+General+slams+hospital+lobbying/3701093/story.html

The same bad Liberals never learned to do things right and honestly the first time even.. allow their consultant sins to go on falsely.

Canada’s oil sands

 1-dump-truck

RiskMetrics report says oilsands could be riskier investment than Gulf of Mexico The Canadian Press – Tue May 18, 12:45 AM The report comes as the world’s attention remains fixed on the aftermath of an oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico. Crude has been spilling into the sea for nearly a month as BP PLC scrambles to contain the leak. The risks of developing the oilsands are “arguably greater” than in the Gulf, the report said. “It’s like the Gulf of Mexico spill, but playing out in slow motion. From a climate and ecological perspective, we’re really no better off,” Doug Cogan, director of climate risk management for RiskMetrics, said in a statement.

The  Albertan  governments are  greedy, and greed was why many people moved to Alberta now as well. Follow the money. It’s the oldest rule in journalism. The truth? It’s all about money, as it always generally is. Alberta’s main income is still oil.

Reality: Alberta’s oil industry likes to say that the oil sands aren’t really so villainous – that they contribute only five per cent of Canada’s total output of greenhouse gases. But bear in mind Alberta’s planned increase in oil output would raise this to 12 per cent by 2020, according to an Environment Canada estimate. Alberta . Its politicians deem it has an inalienable right to grow still fatter. .. worth pondering as  .. Quebecers make sacrifices in the years ahead – sacrifices whose benefits Alberta’s greed will cancel out.. http://www.montrealgazette.com/opinion/reader-comments/pains/2315027/story.html

Working at Canada’s oils sands is difficult, there is nothing to do in Fort McMurray after work, you have to be careful about real bears in the woods even.. the living accommodations are not even great.. but the food at the Syncrude Plant cafeteria is great.

Alberta . Its politicians still  deem they have  an inalienable right to lie as well to attract much much needed capital, investors . The new very unpopular Premier of Alberta, ( Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams is the highest-rated provincial head of government in Canada, according to an Angus-Reid poll  remains a hit with is province, with more than three in four respondents (78%) approving of Williams’ performance. That’s a far cry from the two premiers at the bottom of the online survey – Ontario’s Dalton McGuinty scored 18% and Alberta’s Ed Stelmach scored 14%. Quebec Premier Jean Charest received a positive review from only 25% of respondents, while the proportion is slightly lower for British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell (21%) and New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham (20%). Following the federal Liberal’s popularity path?)  Ed Stelmach    is not of much help cause he  was a useless Twit under the previous useless premier, drunk Ralph Klein. Calgary  itself now often likes to boast it is the 3rd largest  city in Canada.. cause they have nothing  else to boast about basically too.. and  the whole population of Alberta does not even match the poulation of the city of Montreal, Quebec in reality. Calgary and Edmonton continue to face major problems..  Calgary and Edmonton are the two  main and  largest cities, both nearly the same size too,  in the Province of Alberta, Canada.  There are no other significantly large towns in this province as well. The main economy of Alberta is cattle farming and the oil industry. The provincial government has never been able to diversify the economy. Oil which was first discovered in Alberta in 1902   did not become a significant industry in the province until 1947 Alberta’s  quickly found itself at the centre of the ensuing oil boom and grew when oil prices increased with the Arab Oil Embargo of 1973. The population increased significantly  in the years between 1971 and today. Mainly bcause of the governmental  misleading spins that Alberta was a place to get rich fast, but this is not at all true. Few people got rich in Alberta, many went broke though.  Alberta’s economy is so closely tied to the oil industry that the  subsequent drop in oil prices were cited by industry as reasons for a collapse in the oil industry and consequently the overall Alberta, Calgary and Edmonton  economy.  This is still mainly a one horse economy, province.  Do see   also How many rich people in Calgary, Edmonton Alberta?

McGuinty, Stelmach vie for least popular: poll The Gazette (Montreal) – Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach and Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty are Canada’s two least-loved premiers, according to a new Angus Reid poll.

Braid: Stelmach has Tories in one very deep mess Calgary Herald Tories should distil and bottle Stelmach Edmonton Journal

The rapid population growth associated with the oil boom meant a need to build new houses and roads, and related services.. these were costly undertakings which  explains why the land, homes, taxes are so high even now as well. The cost of living has increased more rapidly than the wage increase  in the last few decades too causing a lot of discomfort, personal stress as well which continues until today. The lack of local industries even presently necessitates most items to be imported from else where adding to the products costs .. Even the electrical energy costs are especially high as electricity has to be manly generated by expensive coal  firing plants. Because of the high costs of living in Alberta has had a real problem in both even attracting, and keeping competent, professional technical support personnel in all areas. Many of the new job  arrivals are not adequately still qualified in fact. This is not the land of paradise it is often falsely made out to be, not at all.. The high costs of living too explains also why the divorce rate, drug abuse, and domestic  violence, road rage is so high too. It will be that way for a few decades next too.

Now the Oil sands are often referred to as unconventional oil or crude bitumen. Oil sands reserves have  only become important  as higher oil prices and   technology enable them to be more profitably extracted and upgraded to usable products. Basically at the ALBERTA, Fort McMurray oil sand PLANTS, sand containing oil is extracted from the ground using excavators and conveyed to a gravel  crushing station using the large dump trucks, where the sand is next transported by conveyors belts to be processed at the local  plant. The processing plant starts up by merely adding high temp steam to the gravel mix and the hot steam causes most of the  the oil to separate from the mixture, the main residue oil is scooped off, and the latter left over residue mix of oil and CONDENSED STEAM, water is pumped to an outdoor  storage reservoir.. and it is these LARGE storage reservoirs that are a major danger of  the local ground water pollution now as well. The seperated oil itself now is futher refined at the local partial refining plant too causing pollution  in the process.

My serious concerns, question still is  is whether the Alberta oil sands industry can really assure us that the surrounding rivers and ground waters now will not be polluted permanently in their greed, exploitation of the oil  sands. Never mind what the spin doctors say now what about the reality?  Do not expect anything really to be done here about potential or actual pollutions, for the greedy federal and provincial governments in Canada are known to turn a blind eye to big business wrong doings when the ends seem to justify the means, the ends means big business being able to hire citizens who who are forced to  pay taxes while big business tends to get more tax breaks as well or pays very little taxes..

The whole oil extraction form the Alberta oil sands  comes at quite an extraordinary environmental price. Firstly extracting the oil from the sand requires much more energy than exploiting the traditional oil wells and secondly do cause   human health effects, changes to the hydrological cycle, climate change, and the ill effects of pollution. Plus include all the water used by such companies to extract the oil, which is becoming a more contentious issue in Alberta by the day as the province’s water supply continues to decline suggest that the costs of exploiting oil sands may far outweigh any benefits to society that they may provide. Local Albertan monetary greed seems to be unlimited..

Here’s a few facts about the Alberta Oil Sands:

– Oil sands mining is licensed to use twice the amount of fresh water that the entire city of Calgary uses in a year.

– At least 90% of the fresh water used in the oil sands ends up in ends up in tailing ponds so toxic that propane cannons are used to keep ducks from landing in them.

– Processing the oil sands uses enough natural gas in a day to heat 3 million homes in Canada.

– The toxic tailing ponds are considered one of the largest human-made structures in the world. The ponds span 50 square kilometers and can be seen from space.

– Producing a barrel of oil from the oil sands produces three times more greenhouse gas emissions than a barrel of conventional oil.

– The oil sands operations are the fastest growing source of heat-trapping greenhouse gas in Canada. By 2020 the oil sands will release twice the amount produced currently by all the cars and trucks in Canada

see TarSands_TheReport final.pdf 963.2 KB

Alberta’s oilsands produce more greenhouse gas emissions than some European countries right now and will produce more than all of the world’s volcanoes in just 11 years if the pace of development continues, a new report says.  People will post 1001 excuses justifying this disaster. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/13/greenpeace-oilsands.html until it is too late to do anything about it.. Remember Chernobyl

SADLY ECONOMICS DO CONTROL THE VIABILITY OF CANADA’S OIL SANDS PROJECTS.

Economics alone   SHOULD NOT now  control the direct oil sand extraction  process, engineering as well and also now not all firms are equally environmentally conscious, concerned so they all do now need to be better managed here, something that has falsely not been adequately done for sure so far.. and yes neither by the provincial or the federal governments HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB HERE

GREED AND PROFIT CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO OVER RULE SAFETY,  THE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, etc.,

Toxic chemical levels higher in water downstream of Alberta oilsands plants Vancouver Sun –  This photo shows how at least one company is bulldozing right to the Athabasca River’s edge. EDMONTON – Levels of toxic chemicals in the Athabasca watershed are up to 50 times higher downstream of oilsands development, a new University of Alberta study …The research, spearheaded by renowned aquatics ecologist David Schindler, also estimates that Suncor and Syncrude deposit the equivalent of an oil spill’s worth of bitumen into the surrounding environment each year. The chemicals are dispersed through two main modes: on airborne particles from plant stacks and dusty mine sites; and through run-off from developed sites. The full paper will be available at the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science website at www.pnas.org

Pollution levels increase due to oilsands operations: study CTV.ca

Oilsands pollution far exceeds official estimates: independent study  iNews880.com An independent study suggests that pollution from Alberta’s oilsands is nearly five times greater than official estimates.  The study says toxic emissions from the controversial industry are the equivalent of a major oil spill repeated every year. Government and industry officials have said contamination in the area’s soil and rivers occurs naturally, but the report links it firmly to oilsands mining.

CBC.ca  A study of water quality at 60 sites along the Athabasca River and its tributaries makes it clear the oilsands have added cancer-causing toxins to the environment, a scientist at the University of Alberta says. The highest levels of polycyclic aromatic compounds [PACs], which are known to contain carcinogens, were found within 50 kilometres of two major oilsands upgraders, David Schindler said Monday. On a scale of 1 – 10, as a reputable scientist Dr. Schindler is an 11. If he says there is a problem with tar sands operations poisoning the Athabasca River and other water bodies …. you can be sure that the problem is there and the cause for concern is real. Do you think any of Syncrudes or Suncors top executives are living along the Athabasca River? Not likely.

Alberta drug and alcohol deaths have doubled in the past decade  Edmonton Sun  CALGARY — The number of recorded drug and alcohol deaths in Alberta has more than doubled in the past decade, says the province’s chief medical examiner. From 1998 to 2008, Alberta’s population has grown by only 13% while the annual number of non-suicide deaths attributable to intoxicants has leaped to 437 from 210. Kim Borden, research officer with the chief medical examiner’s office, was at a loss to explain why the number would so far exceed the province’s population increase. “But I do know drugs and drug-related deaths are a huge problem — it’s right up there with car crash fatalities,” she said. “It’s growing every year.” , the figures for deaths caused by drugs are likely much higher because the number of autopsies are so limited.

So vehicular  speeding is not the major cause of accidents, and deaths  but drugsand  impaired driving and yet the Alberta police like to go after speeders, over the drunk drivers still and why was that? https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/10/speeding-is-not-the-major-cause-of-car-accidents-still/

BP itself, cleartly still  hiding behind a barricade of PR-speak, has apparently under reported the extent of the oil disaster and it has been very slow and ineffectual in dealing with it while the unacceptable tragedy continues, even raising frightening questions. “What about the lives of those millions of people, now and for years to come, who depend on the fishery and tourism industries? What about the dying and doomed wildlife? What about the natural beauties of the vast region?” and who really cares?

BP had a “vested financial interest” in downplaying the size of the leak. “They will ultimately pay a fine based on those rates,” Rep. Ed Markey of Massachusetts, who heads the House Energy and Environment subcommittee, agreed that the company “had a stake in low-balling the number right from the very beginning.” “I think that they were either lying or they were incompetent,” Noting that BP has consistently provided information that proved to be wrong, Markey said he had “no confidence whatsoever in BP.” “I think they do not know what they are doing,” Markey said, adding: “I don’t think that people should really believe what BP is saying in terms of the likelihood of anything that they’re doing is going to turn out as they’re predicting.” BP “has been making it up as they along the whole way.” They do not know for sure what the result is going to be of anything which they are doing,” Markey said.  http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/05/30/oil.spill.bp.government/
“What a surprise! Isn’t it about time we just simply stop drilling for oil in the ocean? This is just ridiculous…. all of the oil money and knowledge can’t plug a leak…  It’s the same story in the oilsands, folks…. none of these oil companies up here are cleaning up their mess. Reality is that we need to end our reliance on oil and gas, and work harder at fining clean sources of energy.  It didn’t work!…. time to tighten the screws on BP and the entire oil industry “

Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s refusal to halt federal government plans to explore for oil and natural gas in the untouched waters of the Arctic Speaks volumes about his own values here.

The Alberta Stelmach government is so intent on hiding the environmental devastation in the oilsands that they went so far as to call two esteemed researchers liars.”

Latest news..

Dec 2010 OTTAWA – signs of federal-provincial friction Ottawa and Alberta  in the better environmental monitoring of oilsands, federal Environment Minister John Baird said he would be putting Environment Canada in charge of setting up a new water-quality monitoring system. The federal government has clear jurisdiction to take the lead in monitoring because it has responsibility for fisheries, cross- boundary water, national parks and aboriginal people. But in Edmonton, Premier Ed Stelmach opposes the  lead. His provincial environment minister launched a separate revamping of the monitoring system just this week. “Those resources are owned by Albertans.”  Stelmach said he was ready to co-operate  with the federal government — but only to a point. An advisory panel of scientists — convened in September by former federal environment minister Jim Prentice — warned that the public has no clear idea what the impact of the oilsands has been, because data has not been collected and sorted in an organized way. Monitoring is done by a “fragmented” array of authorities and hgroups, with no established baselines for comparisons and no overarching, integrated view of the entire ecosystem, panel chairwoman Elizabeth Dowdeswell told a news conference. “There is clearly a lack of leadership and co-ordination,” said Dowdeswell, former head of the United Nations environment program. “Until these significant shortcomings are addressed, there will continue to be debate about the data. There will continue to be uncertainty and public distrust, both of industry’s environmental performance and governments’ oversight.” The report pointed out that key pieces of data were handed over to the Alberta environment ministry once a year in hard copy only. The federal Liberal environment critic Gerard Kennedy said. “It’s as damning as science gets. Canadians have been unprotected all these years” by lack of standards. The panel recommended a new system be set up to establish baselines, collect all the relevant data, and refer it to a group of renowned scientists for review. Despite the prospect of extra charges, the business community did not immediately attack the recommendations. Rather, like the panel itself, the oil and gas industry association urged Ottawa and Alberta to quit squabbling over jurisdiction and get on with the job. Environmentalists, too, urged the governments to co-operate.

and they did it again

ST. ALBERT, Alta. – Syncrude Canada has been found guilty under wildlife laws of causing the death of 1,600 ducks in a tailings pond at it oilsands mine in northern Alberta. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/100625/national/oilsands_dead_ducks

Ducks today and people next.. the cost of the oil sands just became horrendous..

THERE IS MUCH TOO MANY CIVIL AND PUBLIC SERVANTS STILL ABUSING OUR TAXPAYER’S MONEY

Former Quebec lieutenant-governor Lise Thibault will face six criminal charges in connection with her expense accounts. Not surprised at all… they should audit every single expense claim by people in such positions. Most civil and public servants do it but some do it on a larger scale. TYPICAL!! Politicians all think they have a right to the taxpayers money!!! Criminals is what they are.!!! Throw the book at this BI@#$!!! and put her in jail. The law should provide for double criminal penalties for anyone in elected office and quadruple criminal penalties for anyone in appointed office. To that, of course, seizure of assets to compensate not only the malfeasance, but offset the cost of prosecution and incarceration.  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/2009/09/25/thibault-charges.html

POLITICAL support softening, poll suggests

 vote-reality

GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE TYPICAL LIE BY PM HARPER TOO…the prime minister has two messages – one for the public and one for Conservative supporters. B.C. Liberal MP Ujjal Dosanjh said the Tory government hasn’t changed its ways and Harper is still “a bully and will be a bully tomorrow.” Stephen Harper’s Conservatives ignore Canada’s multicultural heritage, have little pride in the country’s health-care system, and ignore Canadian cultural workers. Harper also told the Sault Ste. Marie crowd, “Imagine how different things would be if the Liberals were still in power. Imagine how many left-wing ideologues they would be putting in the courts, federal institutions and agencies.”

NOW ABOUT THE TOO MANY CONTROVERSIAL POLLS, WE SEEM TO KNOW THAT POLLS SELL NEWS PAPERS, BUT HOW REALLY ACCURATE ARE THEY?  FOR EXAMPLE WE ALL SEEM TO ALSO KNOW HOW POLLS CAN BE MADE TO LIE, CAN BE BOUGHT BY THE HIGHEST BIDDERS IT SEEMS AND CONTRADICT THE REALITY especially depending on what part of the country it was taken.. Election time is when the Biggest liars escalate what they have been doing all year now anyway

1  Liberal support softening, poll suggests ” The federal Liberals appear to be losing some ground in popularity, a new poll suggests, with the Tories taking a slight overall lead.” “Not so sure about this poll, I think public opinion is a better barometer of the political climate. And from what I’ve seen on this and other message boards, everyone is pretty much fed up with the status quo.  If there was a vote held today, I wonder which way it would go: “
Liberal = Agree  842     Conservative = Disagree 464
 http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/09/ekos-poll.html

In its coverage of the opening of a new parliamentary session, La Presse declared that MPs returning to the House of Commons know they won’t be there for long, since an election is now “inevitable.” The La Presse story pointed to reports from sources inside the NDP that there had not been any negotiation talks between the party and Stephen Harper’s conservatives as evidence that NDP support of the government was unlikely.   http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/too-late-to-turn-back/article1288516/

The truth the news media does not publish” A few years ago, Canada was ahead in this ( internet) field. Then Bell ( and the CRTC) sat back and let the world pass us by, while the Conservatives lacked the vision to notice this was even a problem.” STEPHEN HARPER’S CONSERVATIVE DID NOTHING!   https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/07/07/crtc-farcical-hearings-on-internet-speed-control/

The real fact of life is that there is an ongoing need of honest Journalism still,  of separating the fact, truth from the spins, lies, for the majority persons now even in Canada tend not to believe these polls cause we firstly do know they can bought, be manipulated to give the answer you want, to meet a hidden agenda still. Nor do we tend to believe automatically sadly  the too often lying news media, politicians and their associates as well, especially the lawyers. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/22/spin-canadians-warming-to-minority-rule/

” the same day two very dissimilar polls were published. One gave Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative party an 11-point lead over the Liberals while the second showed the country’s two oldest parties in a dead heat. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/08/25/Canadian-Liberals-fan-fall-election-talk/UPI-12571251205605/

I wrote before and said that  I once was naïve and believed that the news was honest, professional , objective but now almost daily I encounter contradictory spin doctors lies under the heading of news.. The Conservative and Liberals news media both spin..

For another example- Posted for all to know the reality .. the news lies often too..  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/19/more-hidden-cash-grabs-higher-taxes/

Conservatives maintain slight poll lead Reuters Canada – David Ljunggren, Rob Wilson –  OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada’s governing Conservatives are still slightly ahead in public opinion polls over the main opposition Liberals, but would have no …

One hour later..  Liberals lead Tories 36% to 33% Vancouverite –  A majority (55%) ‘disagrees’ (28% strongly/27% somewhat) that ‘the Liberal Party is ready again to govern Canada’. However, 45% ‘agree’ (12% strongly/33% …

so what spin do we believe here too?

“It was also irresponsible a year ago when Harper called one, breaking his own election law in the process. Apparently, elections are only responsible when Tories have a lead in the polls.”

A penny wise, a dollar foolish.. the same people complaining about the election costs seem to overlook the vast amount of taxpayer’s money the Conservatives are clearly abusing. Why is that?

2 RCMP cleared of wrongdoing  RCMP investigates self, finds no charges will be laid. Of course..   http://www.cbc.ca/canada/north/story/2009/09/10/nwt-elder-rcmp.html

I wonder also if a realistic poll would be taken of the RCMP as to what it would show now as well?

For example do you think the RCMP can be trusted to investigate it’s own officers, personnel for wrong doings?

4:   Manitoba Liberals  Premier Gary Doer IS GUILTY, for he had   announced last month that he was stepping down and the following day, he was introduced in Ottawa by Prime Minister Stephen Harper as Canada’s next ambassador to the United States. Doer has not given a date for his departure, but the NDP leadership convention is set for Oct. 16-17. As ambassador-designate, Doer is in a “clear conflict of interest” by staying on as premier, said Liberal Leader Jon Gerrard. Doer’s new job means his boss is now Harper, not the people of Manitoba, Gerrard said. “It impacts, for example, the ability of the premier to stand forcefully up against the federal government when the interests of the hog industry are not being well supported or when the interests of people who’ve been flooded in the Interlake are not supported well, or when Tembec workers are locked out,” he said.    http://www.cbc.ca/canada/manitoba/story/2009/09/15/mb-doer-conflict-gerrard-manitoba.html

5: The far right itself, THE cANADIAN cONSERVATIVES TOO,  often still coerces  others who do not go along with them by “Borking” them.   ”Taiwanizing”  means calumniating, ostracizing, excluding and hopefully ultimately de-legitimizing a country. Doing the same thing to a person is called “Borking”. Borking  is “to attack a person’s reputation and views unfairly,” includes the concerted attack on the challenger’s  character, background and philosophy.. Example to fire an honest government official in an attempt to prevent embarrassment to and exposure of a dishonest government officeholder who has conspired to commit high crimes, the 1973 unacceptable firing, massacre of Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox by Solicitor General Robert Bork, orchestrated by both  Bork and President Richard Nixon .  Conservative activists have been making the same action over and over again in regard to the so called liberals, leftists, news media  reporters: The borked opponents aren’t debated but merely  shut  down, censored,  their free speech denied, and often next immediately they are forcibly removed, kicked out, never allowed to be discussed again too by anyone,  and hopefully insuring their person and his views being totally excluded from the rest of the local group, community. The fact this is too often practiced in too many evangelical churches of all places is astounding. The real Irony and hypocrisy is the right wing often claim they rather now are being Borked BY THE LIBERALS even while they are Borking the others.    NOW why is SOME pastors so ready not to talk with others now too? so ready to smite them, to kick them out of church? If you have love for someone you are willing to talk with them, but if you do not have love for them, especially if, when you know they do not support you, do not agree with your presentation, do not agree  with your point of view, you as a pastor too no can personally can instead  refuse to love them, you refuse to talk to them, you find any excuse to reject, ostracize, divorce them basically to deny, to cover up the unacceptable reality that you yourself the pastor actually do not have any love for them. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/08/31/get-real-now/
