What at the Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s residence ?

alcohol-10a

OTTAWA – An intoxicated 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital early Sunday morning, Easter Morning,  after she was found on the driveway at 24 Sussex Dr. The RCMP say paramedics were called to the prime minister’s official residence on the weekend in response to a medical call. The call came in the “early morning hours” of Sunday, April 20. So the woman had been attending a party at 24 Sussex that night?

Report says underage woman treated for potential alcohol poisoning

The Prime Minister Stephen Harper had   professed to be an evangelical Christian, and evangelical Christians they do not serve or drink Alcohol..

The Prime Minister’s Office refused to state whether Stephen or Laureen Harper were present during the party, and whether this was a celebration of Ben’s 18th birthday.

Look how many of the Canadian News Media lies and spins the story, many try to say that the girl was not in the Home, residence.. but  the RCMP guards the gate to the property so they knew she was there.. so  is this how the Prime Minister’s Christian family celebrates Easter, having a drunken orgy?

Does MP Dian Ablonczy also drink alcohol? She is a professing Christian evangelical now too.. do other evangelical Conservatives MPs drink Alcohol?

.

Want to know why Harper appointed so many bad senators too? He often had initial meetings with them at the Happy hour, bar

Wow! A judge disagrees with the RCMP’s own findings

A Saanich, B.C., police officer was “grossly negligent” in the shooting death of a Victoria man, a B.C. Supreme Court judge has ruled in awarding the man’s family $354,000 in damages.

Saanich Const. Kristopher Dukeshire shot Majencio Camaso, 33, three times as he charged at the officer carrying a steel pipe and crowbar in July 2004.

Dukeshire had arrived at the man’s home in the community near Victoria in response to a 911 call from his wife, Theresa Camaso, who told police that her mentally ill husband had threatened to set their apartment on fire.

An external RCMP investigation of the shooting found the use of force reasonable and no criminal charges were laid against Dukeshire.

Theresa Camaso launched a lawsuit against the three Saanich police officers who had responded to her 911 call, former police chief Derek Egan, the District of Saanich and a paramedic at the scene.

Justice Grant Burnyeat disagreed with the conclusions of the RCMP probe, writing in his ruling that, “Dukeshire breached the duty of care owed to Mr. Camaso when he did not use the least amount of force necessary to carry out his duties.”

Burnyeat said he found Dukeshire’s actions “grossly negligent.”  http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/story/2011/04/13/bc-saanich-camaso-ruling.html

“The Conservatives meanwhile have put forward an invasive, anti-Internet set of “Lawful Access” policies that would have Internet providers collect our personal information without court oversight. If this goes through, officials will have real-time access to our online information. To stop this in its tracks, as many of us as possible need to send pro-Internet letters to candidates now..  http://openmedia.ca/vote

Canada a Police state?  and who says it is not? The dictatorial Politicians who send their watchdogs against the citizens. Do not have a false impression that the Police are here to serve their masters, the citizens in Canada, for firstly they serve themselves and next they solely serve their political masters who make their police budgets . https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/07/04/canada-a-police-state/

Fact! Free speech right in Canada is controlled and is mainly for the cops and the establishment and  if you did not know that already too,

Police state is in, freedom went out as even Toronto, Canada went  into the  police state security modes. Did we really need all those cops there now? What could they not have done it all as well with half the numbers? Just cause there are a few bad guys amongst the citizens too, not just in the civil and public services, it  is still not a  false excuse to now again oppress, deny the citizens their nights.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/11/23/inevitable-reality/   https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/05/20/going-overboard-with-the-law-2/

The false abuse of a minority rights is an unacceptable rightfully majority rights abuse still.

You know I get a kick out of those lying spin  doctors,  police officers, bad cops, union representatives, police lovers, bad PERSONS   who STILL DO say that ALL OF  bad people, INCLUDING the ALCOHOLICS, the bad cops and their bad supervisors too they  can always be rehabilitated, retrained.. and how many millions of them now has this happened to them.. almost none.. a bad apple tends to get worse.. The RCMP maximum 10 days punishment is always absurd, permanent dismissal is what is always needed with the bad cops and their clearly bad superiors who had managed and hired them too.. Bad solicitor generals as well should be fired ASAP.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/11/26/canadas-justice-reviews-are-still-a-big-farce/

Bad cops at it again..  THERE ARE MUCH TOO MANY BAD COPS IN CANADA -FIRE THEM ALL NOW  No cop is above the law. Too bad for them they are paid to work still too. Police still fail to catch most of the real criminals including the car thieves, and the Fraud perpetrated over the Internet which still is a growing citizen concern in Canada and throughout the world. The police always claim they lack resources, they will never have enough resources if they reuse to do a decent days work for their pay. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/the-police-cannot-get-the-crimminals/

So for decades even the Alberta police forces already have had a file on me and likley you as well if you complain about the bad guys, the police and the bad politicians  included. Canada wide Police brutality, suppression of rights,   or the excessive force against non white males, females is also not new.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/hidden-municpal-police-taxes/

Needless to say police resources are often misused where even the mayors do instruct the police to find out all they can about their opposition members too.  ” and it all is still unacceptable! Free speech is a right for bullies, crooks, abusers only it still seems in Canada now. Police already have arrested me for complaining about the Calgary Police in the Calgary Police chief office even.. the charge was talking out loud in a public place.. Many people are shocked to discover free speech is not being allowed too often in many places in Canada,  on the net, in churches, letters to governments, to the news editors too… the police have visited me or objected now at least 7 times in response to my writings.. still decades later I  am still rightfully openly complaining about the much too many bad police supervisors and the too many bad acts of the so called professionals, the police included. The abuse of the citizens is not acceptable anywhere.

“A new Alberta police database will track citizen’s every interaction with police, and it can be used without a warrant or even a supervisor’s permission”.. they had an old system already do doing this too..  http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2011/02/14/kevin-libin-alberta%E2%80%99s-dangerous-database/

“The federal Conservatives plan to introduce a bill this week that would oblige Internet service providers to report all suspected child pornography to police.https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/11/23/inevitable-reality/

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/11/24/isp-mandatory-child-pornography.html

In no way do I wish to support those who deal in child pornography and exploitation, but this bill ALSO represents a serious change in the relationship between ISPs and privacy laws. I’m concerned that the Conservatives are using a non-debatable issue like child pornography to pave the way for stricter anti-piracy laws like those we’ve seen proposed in England. http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/11/23/internet-child-pornography-isp-bill.html

Child porn law a small help  The Cape Breton Post.,  Critics of the federal Conservative government tend to take a skeptical view of its war on crime, interpreting much it as a political play for easy applause, claiming exorbitant credit for measures that will have modest effect. A new bill aimed at tightening the rules on Internet traffic in child pornography is susceptible to the same criticism but Canadians are likely to overlook this and approve any useful step to impede of a heinous trade.

The new law, introduced in Parliament on Tuesday, will require Internet companies – Internet service and email providers, as well as content hosting and social networking sites – to report to a designated agency tips they receive about child porn activities through their facilities and to notify police when they believe criminal traffic in child porn is occurring. They will be required to preserve evidence as well. There’s already a voluntary system like this in place among major Internet service providers in Canada but this makes the practices mandatory for all. Internet service providers don’t monitor the content of traffic so the system will continue to rely on tips and complaints. This in itself won’t make a big dent in the torrent of child porn swill available worldwide but it will give police and anti-child porn agencies such as Cybertip.ca some more chances to pick up the threads of networks and rings, and possibly even to rescue a few more children from horrific situations. The Internet has transformed modern life in many positive ways. The explosion of electronic child porn is the outstanding example of the cost of this. If some principles of privacy and freedom have to be qualified to reduce that cost to the children of the world, so be it.

Federal government introduces mandatory child porn reporting legislation  By Michael Geist

Justice Minister Rob Nicholson today tabled the Child Protection Act (Online Sexual Exploitation). As widely reported, Bill C-58 creates a mandatory disclosure requirement on Internet providers where they become aware of child pornography websites or have reason to believe a subscriber is using their service to violate child pornography laws. Where an Internet provider submits a report on a user, they must preserve the relevant computer data for 21 days and they are prohibited from disclosing the disclosure to the customer. Failure to report may result in fines or imprisonment and providers are granted immunity from liability for reporting the activity. The definition of Internet provider is broad, extending beyond just ISPs to include those providing Internet access, hosting, or email services. In other words, services like Google, Hotmail, and Facebook are all covered.

The bill shares similarities with provincial laws (ie. Ontario) and those that report under the provincial law are exempt from the federal version. While few will criticize a bill targeting child pornography – everyone agrees that child pornography is abhorrent and we need to ensure that we have laws to deal with the problem – it is hard to see what this bill actually accomplishes. Canada already has:

• an online child pornography tip service that receives thousands of tips

• ISPs that block access to child pornography images

• some of the toughest child pornography laws in the world

numerous examples of child pornography arrests

• law enforcement focused on child pornography virtually to the exclusion of all other online issues

Further, while there are reports that Canada is a source of child pornography websites, a major European-based study concluded that focusing on the World Wide Web and blocking content makes little sense in trying to combat child pornography (the same report found that image blocking initiatives like the Canadian Project Cleanfeed are ineffective). Instead, the real problems lies in dissemination of child pornography in newsgroups, private groups, and other private spaces that fall largely outside the potential for tips envisioned by Bill C-58 or Canada’s Project Cleanfeed.

Michael Geist is a law professor and the Canada Research Chair in Internet and e-commerce law at the University of Ottawa.  http://www.straight.com/article-271907/vancouver/federal-government-introduces-mandatory-child-porn-reporting-legislation

Giving more money to the police does not increase justice rather it tends to make a police state instead..

Hypocritical Police and Conservatives want more policing over the Canadian citizens, the same persons who wrongfully firstly do not want to give us a detailed list, copy of all of their own expense accounts  and do note that too. Let the police rightfully start with the rightful better policing of themselves  and next deal  first with  our too often stealing, crooked, lying politicians, civil and public servants who also do steal  and now first also go after all the alcoholics who abuse their spouses, drive impaired … the cops included..  deal first with all all of  of   the persons who abuse any seniors.. and we now do need more cops rather in the hospitals arresting also all of  the bad Health Ministers, bad  doctors and bad nurses who fail to provide adequate medical aid to seniors, others etc

People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.

By the way how much did the Police, politicians, themselves now steal from the security budgets, an undeniable too common Canadian practice it seems as well,

Don’t be stupid and try pot or decriminalize marijuana

Marijuana is the most widely used illegal drug in the North America  http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/marijuana/

Besides the undeniable fact that the person who  tend to use alcohol, marijuana are eventually brain damaged, health impaired , they do manifest a poor work productivity, a slow down of their reasoning process, difficulty in thinking and problem solving, problems with memory and learning, loss of coordination, distorted perception they ALSO   tend to be also involved in  criminal acts SUCH  as theft, tax evasions, fraud, etc.

  • Marijuana is the most commonly used illegal drug in Canada.
  • Almost half (44%) of Canadians say they have used marijuana at least once in their lifetime.
  • In 2005, just over one-quarter (26.5%) of Ontario students (grades 7–12) said they had used marijuana in the past year, and one-third (31%) reported trying it at least once in their lifetime.
  • In Ontario, male students are more likely to use marijuana than females (28% versus 25%).
  • Students’ rates of marijuana use vary across Ontario: Toronto students are less likely to use it (20%) than students in the north (33%) or west (29%).
  • Three per cent of Grade 7 students have tried marijuana in the past year.
  • By the time they have reached Grade 12, nearly half (46%) of Ontario students have used marijuana in the past year.
  • About one in eight students (12%) who use marijuana use it every day. This is about three per cent of all grade 7 to 12 students in Ontario (about 33,200 students).

The main mind-altering (psychoactive) ingredient in marijuana is THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), but more than 400 other chemicals also are in the plant. A marijuana “joint” (cigarette) is made from the dried particles of the plant. The amount of THC in the marijuana determines how strong its effects will be. The type of plant, the weather, the soil, the time of harvest, and other factors determine the strength of marijuana. The strength of today’s marijuana is as much as ten times greater than the marijuana used in the early 1970s. This more potent marijuana increases physical and mental effects and the possibility of health problems for the user. Hashish, or hash, is made by taking the resin from the leaves and flowers of the marijuana plant and pressing it into cakes or slabs. Hash is usually stronger than crude marijuana and may contain five to ten times as much THC. Research shows that the earlier people start using drugs, the more likely they are to go on to experiment with other drugs Driving experiments show that marijuana affects a wide range of skills needed for safe driving — thinking and reflexes are slowed, making it hard for drivers to respond to sudden, unexpected events. Also, a driver’s ability to “track” (stay in lane) through curves, to brake quickly, and to maintain speed and the proper distance between cars is affected. Research shows that these skills are impaired for at least 4-6 hours after smoking a single marijuana cigarette, long after the “high” is gone. If a person drinks alcohol, along with using marijuana, the risk of an accident greatly increases. Marijuana presents a definite danger on the road. Marijuana use increases the heart rate as much as 50 percent, depending on the amount of THC. It can cause chest pain in people who have a poor blood supply to the heart – and it produces these effects more rapidly than tobacco smoke does.  Marijuana smoke has been found to contain more cancer-causing agents than is found in tobacco smoke. Young people who smoke marijuana heavily over long periods of time can become dull, slow moving, and inattentive. These “burned-out” users are sometimes so unaware of their surroundings that they do not respond when friends speak to them, and they do not realize they have a problem.   http://www.well.com/user/woa/fspot.htm

Signs of Marijuana Abuse

Some noticeable signs of Marijuana abuse include:

– Rapid, loud talking and bursts of laughter in early stages of intoxication.
– Sleepy or stuporous in the later stages.
– Lack of concentration and coordination.
– Forgetfulness in conversation.
– Inflammation in whites of eyes.
– Odor similar to burnt rope on clothing or breath.
– Distorted sense of time passage – tendency to overestimate time intervals.
– Craving for sweets.
– Increased appetite.
– Use or possession of paraphernalia including roach clip, packs of rolling papers, pipes or bongs.

New Conservatives use RCMP to keep put undesirable observers but fail to keep out the undesirable criminal

.
Conservative leader Stephen Harper now  is guilty of running a police state,  he is a power mad dictator  who tries to win at all costs and who disregarded the  type of bad associates he has, had now even falsely takes it out on others too. The same Stephen Harper’s Conservative government now fell  on a charge of contempt of Parliament which is a first in Canada’s 144year history.
.
Prime Minister’s Stepehen Harper’ bad  associates, and Harper’s s new New Conservatives wrongfully even use the RCMP to keep put undesirable observers but they all do fail to keep out the undesirable criminal.
.
The RCMP conceded Wednesday that some of its officers were involved in a campaign incident in which a university student was thrown out of a Conservative rally in London, Ont.
.
Several of the people who were booted from Conservative rallies  by the bad RCMP too have said they simply wanted to use their democratic right to hear Harper’s messages.
.
19-year-old Awish Aslam — who reportedly broke into tears after she and her friend had their name tags torn up before they were escorted out — it was because of a photo on her Facebook page that featured a grinning Ignatieff. The prime minister’s spokesperson apologized for that incident. Thethe Liberals ridiculed their rivals as democracy-stifling control freaks in a spoof ad likening Harper to a Facebook stalker.
.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police admitted  that officers assigned as the Prime Minister’s bodyguards overstepped their bounds to enforce access to a Conservative rally. The  related  abuse of police power by the new Consdervative is always still unacceptable”  “The RCMP assisted the party organizers in restricting access to persons not registered for the private eventthis was not in accordance with the RCMP’s mandate” All RCMP members nned to be reminded of their full  responsibilities. Now the   “RCMP members assigned to the security details for party leaders have been reminded of their responsibilities,” said the note from spokesman Sgt. Greg Cox. The RCMP’s mandate does not include managing public access to private events, Cox noted.
.
But the same RCMP  force pointedly refused to say whether it was involved in the pre-screening of all those who were registered to attend the conservative  rallies, as at least one ejected rally-goer was explicitly told.
Earlier Wednesday, in a statement issued to some media outlets, Cox went further, confirming the RCMP had assisted party organizers in restricting access to an event.t’s not the first time the Harper Tories have used police to keep journalists, photographers and some members of the general public at bay during an election campaign. In 2008, a Harper aide ordered the Mounties to move reporters away when they tried asking him questions at a vineyard photo op. ”  http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/canada/rcmps-job-to-protect-pm-not-the-party-statement-119386884.html
.
Ignatieff also now slams Harper over Harper’ bad  associate, ex-aide’s Bruce Carson criminal convictions for they do even raise a “fundamental question” over whether Canadians can trust the Conservative leader. Harper was aware former senior adviser.Carson had “difficulties with the law  Carson’s sordid tale, which includes: multiple counts of fraud, a relationship with a 22-year-old former escort, and lobbying the federal government. Really Harper should have been  far more concerned of Carson’s past. Liberals criticize the PM, saying he calls for a crackdown on crime out of one side of his mouth, and hires criminals in senior political roles on the other side
.
Bruce Carson was the Prime Minister’s point man on Canada’s mission in Afghanistan and was provided sensitive information about the military mission .  Bruce Carson was convicted of three counts of fraud and ordered to undergo a psychiatric treatment in 1990.   A CBC report Tuesday night suggested that   RCMP Commissioner William Elliott was involved in the screening process of Bruce Carson who worked in the Prime Minister’s Office. The PMO asked the same RCMP last month to investigate Carson after a probe by the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network alleged the 65-year-old may have illegally lobbied the federal government on behalf of a company that employed his girlfriend, a 22-year-old one-time escort.
 .
Furthere more many Advocacy groups are calling on all of the federal party leaders to talk about the state of Canada’s access-to-information law, which they say is in chaos. Also the Harper Tories have ignored fiscal conservative policies like they’ve been going out of style.  They’ve even wasted billions of dollars in meaningless infrastructure programs that  Their dual promises   are nice but meaningless, since they’ll only come into effect after  the federal budget has been balanced.
.

The MUCH TOO MANY consumer abuses by   Bell, Rogers, Virgin, Telus etc. they all should be an election issue.. Majority of Canadians they just want  all pricing to be fair — and Bell, Rogers, Telus, Shaw and Videtron etc., so far have been anything but. Bell , Rogers, etc are, after all, mostly federally unregulated companies,.. and these bad big businesses get the corporate tax breaks from the Conservatives too.. they should rather pay a higher tax..

BELL IS STILL GETTING MUCH TOO GREEDY FOR IT’S BRITCHES TOO

“Canada’s Worst Cell Phone Bill” BELONGS TO BELL but it seems the other phone interent companies are not much better..

.

Virgin Mobile Canada As I have found many times in March 2011 even even weekly firsthand there is no reality between the cheap mere words of Virgin’s advertised statement for caring about the customer and next still the actual  very unsatisfactory poor Virgin Mobile Canada  customer service   provided when it comes to dealing even with a valid Virgin customer complaints.. next in six weeks now they all I had talked to at Virgin still were unable to cancel the original request of mine to my cell phone service or even to  give me a proper Virgin  finalized statement of account. and instead the Virgin customer care, the Virgin Billing and accounting departments  continued to bill me for my phone services and to disregard my requests and all of Virgin had even failed to correct their inadequacies towards me even  many times…

Virgin is clearly a  bunch of crappy BELL  liars and are all incompetent, pretenders, for  talked to their phone support by phone 5 days and all they did was, do lie.. they instead of cancelling my phone insisted on trying to make more money by not cancelling it.  I was promised last week by Virgin on the phone i would get my updated balance statement and the refund for my cell phone overpayment,  as well in the mail immediately mail by next week and so far I got neither.. You Virgin do all lie when you say you care about the customer and that you will service them properly even..
.
So I now again phoned Virgin and Virgin now says in contrast that it will take up to 90 days for me to get my money back.  Virgin is stealing my money by not giving it back to me… next Virgin again promises by next week to have all of this issue resolved. Can you belive any of what they say for I do not..
.

Virgin Mobile Canada  screws up a simple cell phone and the related cell phone number cancellation procedure. Virgin Mobile Canada Customer services again  told me  today by phone that they have no power, control over the Virgin Mobile Canada billing , account procedures. statements. refunds, departments.. Now even months later from Feb 15, 2010 Virgin Mobile Canada  has not even kept any of their many last Virgin Mobile Canada promises to escalate my Virgin Mobile Canada billing statement, money refund  and on April 13, 2011 Virgin Mobile Canada BECAUSE  clearly is so incompetent they Virgin Mobile Canada that they do continually   do on the phone make useless Virgin Mobile Canada promises . Next Virgin Mobile Canada again informed me that  there is nothing else they can now even do for me cause they are the  Virgin Mobile Canada customer billing  inquiry representative and they are are only a basically useless, powerless Virgin Mobile Canada Customer billing, phone representative, and so they  Virgin Mobile Canada do not know when I will next get my due Virgin Mobile Canada credit,  my money,  my Virgin Mobile Canada cheque, my Virgin Mobile Canada final bill  in the mail, they Virgin Mobile Canada do continue to send me for moths the wrong bills, and it takes Virgin Mobile Canada 4 to 6  weeks to next  correct them so, but over 2 months had passed and they Virgin Mobile Canada have missed their original promised deadline too to do so.. so  they Virgin Mobile Canada continue to lie to me all the time.. they Virgin Mobile Canada do in writing promise you a good Virgin Mobile Canada customer service, they Virgin Mobile Canada claim they have got an award for 5 years for the best customers services, but the reality as I see it differs now  .. Now I get a new Virgin Mobile Canada promise i will get my Virgin Mobile Canada cheque 3 to six weeks from the first  week of April 2011 when my Virgin Mobile Canada account was now supposedly closed.. Virgin Mobile Canada they cannot  DO ANYTHING GOOD FOR ME HERE..The next  Virgin Mobile Canada final statement will only be billed to me on the 16 of April, plus it will take at least another 5 to 9 days and then it may be shipped to me? The Virgin Mobile Canada customer service by Virgin was, is stated to me today as being  the best in the world according to the last 5 years but my own undeniable witness and reality is that Virgin Mobile Canada statement itself as well is all crap. stating lies,  mere  useless words.. having to me no evidence of such a fact.

Prime Minister of Canada announces legacy gift to Michaëlle Jean Foundation

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today recognized the contributions made by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean during her tenure as Canada’s 27th Governor General.  In keeping with the tradition of honouring outgoing Governors General, the Prime Minister announced that the Government of Canada will be supporting the Michaëlle Jean Foundation as its legacy gift to Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean.  “As Canada’s 27th Governor General, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean has distinguished herself through her engagement with Canadians and her compassion and leadership in responding to the earthquake in Haiti,” said Prime Minister Harper.  “I am proud to announce support today for the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, which will help more young people become active citizens in their communities.”  The Government of Canada will be providing $3 million in support of the Michaëlle Jean Foundation, a non-profit organization that will promote citizen engagement through the arts and creativity, with a special emphasis on youth from underprivileged, rural and northern communities in Canada.  The Government will also match funds raised privately by the foundation, to a maximum of $7 million over a ten-year period. Since the 1960s, the Government of Canada has honoured former Governors General by helping them contribute to Canadian society by supporting the initiatives they pursued while in office. http://www.pm.gc.ca/eng/media.asp?category=1&pageId=26&id=3681

When I see in comparison TO THESE MERE 3 MILLION DOLLARS NOW  as to how much the government of Canada now still spends on entertainment booze, alcohol I can see where their wrong priorities now still is.. and cops falsely are still mainly going after the car speeders, the money making generating revenues and not the drunk drivers who cause the majority of the accidents too.. EVEN COPS, RCMP DRIVE WHEN DRUNK THESE DAYS IN CANADA

Canada placed 17th among 24 industrialized countries in terms of the material well-being enjoyed by its poorest children, ninth in terms of their health and third in education, according to the report. In case you are not aware heavy drinkers, alcoholics too often tend to kill their consciences, compassion and tend not to care about the children’s well being.

Drink Alcohol and Die « The non conformer’s Canadian Weblog   Drink Alcohol and Die or Kill is fast becoming Canada’s preoccupation, main goal, slogan.. Alcohol and alcoholics the unacceptable main cause of vehicular  accidents, domestic violence, and so many other ills… DRUNK DRIVING  KILLS AT LEAST 5 TIMES MORE PERSONS OVER SPEEDING FIRSTLY  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/01/02/alcohol/

Alcohol is more dangerous than illegal drugs like heroin and crack cocaine, according to a new study.Heroin, crack cocaine and methamphetamine, or crystal meth, were the most lethal to individuals. When considering their wider social effects, alcohol, heroin and crack cocaine were the deadliest. But overall, alcohol outranked all other substances, followed by heroin and crack cocaine. Experts said alcohol scored so high because it is so widely used and has devastating consequences not only for drinkers but for those around them. When drunk in excess, alcohol damages nearly all organ systems. It is also connected to higher death rates and is involved in a greater percentage of crime than most other drugs, including heroin. All governments should consider more education programs and raising the price of alcohol so it isn’t as widely available.    “What governments decide is illegal is not always based on science,”  for monetary considerations about revenue and taxation, like those garnered from the alcohol and tobacco industries, may influence decisions about which substances to regulate or outlaw. “Drugs that are legal cause at least as much damage, if not more, than drugs that are illicit,”   http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/101031/health/health_eu_med_dangerous_alcohol

Provincial Governments, cops too  do not want to reduce gambling or alcohol consumption for it is a great money maker for them, and too many Canadian politicians and cops do like to booze..

Don’t be also absurd and say that one man the RCMP boss alone was, is the problem, even  the last many many decades.. the RCMP officers and all of their bad superiors were, are rather the problems still. I have been rightfully complaining about the too often  bad, drunk, cost ineffective, pretentious  RCMP for over 25 years ever since they had abused me in the Canmore Alberta and othe places too.. even with their revenue generating money pit where they make for decades annualy millions and millions of dollars from tourist  leaving the Banff park, or going to an airport.

NOW WHY IS IT BAD PEOPLE DO NOT CHANGE NEXT BESIDE THE FACT THEY LIKE TO DO BAD THINGS, IT IS ALSO CAUSE THEY FALSELY  REFUSE TO ADMIT THE THINGS THEY DO ARE BAD.

RCMP officer threatened critic

In Canada along with the bad pastors, the crooks, bad politicians, the cops  are a typical group who do not tolerate  negative free speech about their own bad acts, for  they tend to be ostriches in denials, who falsely refuse to admit, to see their own bad points, and they wrongfully, clearly do let you all falsely  to believe they are some kind of gods, perfectionist who themselves cannot be challenged, questioned. How absurd. These people in denial are the ones who often need professional help for their sickness. The RCMP along with other major police forces tend to be known for censorship of free speech, obstruction of justice, false intimidations of their critics

Now in reality too often the Police are too often lazy, no good cops… but the feds, politicians, civil and public servants included,  are not any better it seems. In Canada  in my whole life I  never got the too often bad police to do one proper thing, to do one proper police complaint  review now too.

It is already a  half a century fact in Canada that the crooks and police do too often believe that they alone have a right to freedom of speech and that they both are guilty of the usage of unlawful authority, obstruction of justice  to try to stop any and all critics of their wrong doings by any others. I know I have been visited by the perverse police at home many times on this, falsely threatened with arrest if I keep on writing to news editors too, even one RCMP officer  had threatened to shut me up for good by a Canmore Alberta RCMP officer.. so what else is new.. none of this is ever acceptable in Canada firstly still too. Decades later I rightfully still use my free speech right to tell the whole truth about the unacceptable bad cops, their managers too  and the really bad crooks who need to be arrested, put in jail as well. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/09/01/the-rcmp-is-still-the-big-bad-wolf-in-sheep-clothing/

A top RCMP officer has issued a “thinly veiled threat” to strip funding from a B.C. university if its lead criminologist does not stop criticizing the force, alleges the professor involved.  In an email obtained by the Times Colonist, RCMP Deputy Commissioner Gary Bass chastises Robert Gordon, director of Simon Fraser University’s criminology department, for his comments in the media that RCMP “arrogance” stalled the investigation into serial killer Robert Pickton.  “I would like to suggest that you should be much more careful in speaking on issues where you have no direct personal knowledge or where you may not be getting accurate information fed to you,” Deputy Commissioner Bass wrote in the lengthy email sent on Aug. 22, two days after Vancouver police Deputy Chief Doug LePard released his report on the bungled missing-women investigation, which placed significant blame on the Mounties’ shoulders.  Deputy Commissioner Bass went on to question the RCMP’s role as a key donor for SFU’s Institute for Canadian Urban Research Studies, which is housed in the School of Criminology.  “The ongoing bias you display against the RCMP in articles such as this have caused many to ask why we would want to continue to be in that partnership given this apparent lack of support from the head of the department,” he wrote.  The RCMP funds two research chair positions at the institute, at a cost of $4-million over the past five years. It recently renewed the $4-million contribution for another five years.  “This is a thinly veiled threat about the funding,” Mr. Gordon said. http://www.vancouversun.com/news/RCMP+officer+threatened+university+professor+says/3481957/story.html

Suspended BC RCMP officers being paid up to $1.3 million a year The Province – There are now 16 BC RCMP members on paid suspension for alleged misconduct in BC. Officers can remain suspended with pay for years – even receiving annual raises …  “It’s a reward for engaging in inappropriate conduct,” said Simon Fraser University criminologist Robert Gordon. “This just shows a fundamental lack of accountability to taxpayers,” said Maureen Bader, spokeswoman for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.  Across Canada, 47 Mounties were on paid suspension as of March 31, the Ottawa Citizen’s Chris Cobb reports.

VANCOUVER – Rookie RCMP Const. Chris Christinger has been docked 10 days’ pay after a day of partying at the Bella Coola Rodeo that included drinking before his shift, sneaking an 18-year-old girl into a beer garden and driving a police truck while under the influence of alcohol. Christinger, an officer in Alexis Creek, was sent to Bella Coola to help police the community’s annual rodeo.Christinger arrived in Bella Coola several hours before his 4:30 p.m. shift began. So he went to the rodeo grounds, where he drank four bottles of Smirnoff Ice before heading back to his hotel, getting changed into his RCMP uniform and driving to the Bella Coola detachment. RCMP spokeswoman Const. Annie Linteau noted that, under the RCMP Act, 10 days’ lost pay is the maximum financial penalty an officer can receive short of being fired http://www.vancouversun.com/life/RCMP+officer+caught+sneaking+teen+girl+into+beer+garden+photos+posted/3516840/story.html

One of the too many false reasons too many patients die in Hospitals is that almost none of the medical staff feel any personal, real, negative repercussions themselves.  That also includes the reasons we have now the too many bad cops we seem to have now too, and bad civil and public servants too, bad politicians..

Alberta should not renew RCMP contract “And the RCMP has changed, for the worse. At the headquarters level there hasn’t been a good report in years. Various inquiries have found incompetence, poor training, poor discipline, poor co-ordination and communication, and outright dishonesty. Those inquiries have used phrases like “horribly broken,” “often flawed,” “not justified” and so on. News reports made it clear that RCMP investigations into embarrassing and fatal actions of their own members were inadequate to the point of being a coverup. At the field level there were many reports of highly dubious shootings by RCMP members, and criminal investigations into the conduct of members when off duty. Former RCMP Commissioner Giuliano Zaccardelli resigned in disgrace after giving conflicting statements to a Parliamentary committee. ” http://www.calgaryherald.com/opinion/Alberta+should+renew+RCMP+contract/3498184/story.html?cid=megadrop_story

This is not a new revelation I myself now had detailed to you about 25 years ago my own experience in Canmore Alberta with the perverse RCMP where I got 2 speeding tickets on the same spot years apart and how the RCMP next also had covered up for it’s pervere buddies, and I had also entered my complaint about their perverse acts into the Canmore Queens court record as well now.

COURTENAY — A Courtenay man is furious after police came to his house looking for marijuana, only to discover garden tomatoes and dahlias. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the man said the incident has left him “sick to his stomach” and calling for more civilian oversight of the RCMP. On Aug. 29 (Sunday) at about 10:30 p.m., the man was sleeping upstairs in his room. His wife, who was preparing to head to bed, saw several police cars pull up in front of the house. He was presented with a search warrant for marijuana plants and told that he and his wife would be taken into custody to the police station. He said he turned on the garden floodlight to allow the police officers more light for their search. The police search had yielded only dahlias and garden tomatoes — plants that had mistakenly been identified by police as marijuana over a two-week investigation that included aerial surveillance of the couple’s back yard. http://www.vancouversun.com/life/Courtenay+RCMP+apologize+after+marijuana+raid+yields+only+dahlias/3516759/story.html

Kamloops Mountie faces impaired charges CBC – Tue Apr 6, 10:27 PM A nine-year veteran RCMP officer faces impaired driving charges after a car flipped over in a crash near Kamloops early Saturday morning. “It appeared, from the preliminary investigation of the incident, that the lone occupant of the vehicle had driven off the road and hit protection poles surrounding a hydro box,” Const. Cheryl Bush said in a release Tuesday. “The vehicle then flipped onto its roof. The driver sustained no injuries as a result of this incident.” Investigators at the scene asked the officer, 29, for a breath sample and later said they would recommend charges to the Crown, police said. The identity of the officer, currently posted in Kamloops, has not been made public. The officer has been reassigned to administrative duties and will make his first court appearance on April 26 in Kamloops, Bush said

Obviously, except for the politicians of Canada, there needs to be a better screening device for those accepted into the RCMP.  Oh boy…here we go again. And how will they wash this one away?  MADD never seems to have anything to say when a cop is charged with DUI.  I wonder why?  What great role models the various members are presenting to the youth of this Country. We spend millions trying to educate people to not drink and drive and the people who enforce the law, are breaking that very law.  Looks like drinking isn’t just a RCMP problem it is spread into every police force around the world. The problem definitely needs to be researched.  I am starting to feel like the RCMP is almost as bad as the scum they are hired to protect us from http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2010/04/06/bc-kamloops-rcmp-impaired.html

Top Mounties failing in leadership role, watchdog says Globe and Mail –   RCMP brass are failing to live up to the legendary can-do spirit of the Mounties and are undermining the efforts of provincial divisions that are striving to modernize the force, watchdog Paul Kennedy said Wednesday.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/13/but-we-knew-all-that-already-about-the-rcmp/

Why do the police not prosecute the drunk drivers all year more consistently now too? “Of the 645 sexual assaults that were reported to our service in 2009, more than 40 per cent were alcohol-facilitated sexual assaults,” A sexual assault is never the fault of the victim. She said no means no the first time, and another drink can’t change that.“ We need people to understand that consent cannot be given if the person is impaired by alcohol: If they’re passed out, if they’re unconscious, if they’re sleeping,”  Supt. Danielle Campbell,   head of the Edmonton Police Criminal Investigations Division. It seems most alcohol-facilitated sexual assault doesn’t seem to be about miscommunication, or misconceptions of consent.  Rather, it is about men who use alcohol to incapacitate women for the purpose of raping them, and who do it over and over again like they know what they ‘re doing and are doing it on purpose. Do even the police do the same thing as well?

2 Mounties always get their man, or a woman in this case..the RCMP Farce

.
How is our law and order Conservative government, Prime Minister Stephen Harper now in reality dealing with the too often bad, immoral RCMP too?  PM Stephen Harper DOES DRINK ALCOHOL
.

Imagine my shock when I was in a constituency office and the experienced worker says to me it is so common for the politicians to commit adultery, it is a way of life… they all do it she says.. and they also cheat, lie, steal, make false expense accounts reports, commit tax evasions, get drunk as well it seems too.. exposed, they lose the news media support as a result too.. tend not to get reelected.. Toronto Councillor Adam Giambrone lies

Alleged victim testifies in RCMP sex-assault trial A Yukon Supreme Court judge has heard testimony from a woman who claims two off-duty RCMP officers raped her a year ago.   The woman, who cannot be identified under a publication ban, has testified that constables Graham Belak, 30, and Shawn McLaughlin, 33, sexually assaulted her in the early-morning hours of March 8, 2009, in the southern Yukon town of Watson Lake. Belak and McLaughlin were both suspended from the RCMP with pay after the charges were laid. They have since moved out of Watson Lake, as has the woman. … the woman said she met the off-duty officers at a house party. The three went back to Belak’s house, where, the woman alleged, McLaughlin held her down on the floor while Belak raped her. The woman said she could not move or speak during the alleged assault and that she blacked out a couple times before she woke up around 6 a.m. to find she was naked from the waist down http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/cbc/100310/canada/canada_north_yukon_sex_assault

Officer tells court his version of events As his pregnant wife and two-year-old son slept at home, RCMP Const. Shawn McLaughlin engaged in three-way sex with a married woman and Const. Graham Belak, according to McLaughlin’s testimony in Yukon Supreme Court The intercourse he had with a woman after a party in Watson Lake last March was consensual, RCMP Const. Graham Belak told a Whitehorse courtroom.  Yukon RCMP officer told a judge Thursday he did not sexually assault a woman in Watson Lake last year while off-duty, although he admitted he did act inappropriately. Crown prosecutor Robert Beck described the two RCMP officers on trial for sexual assault as opportunists targeting a vulnerable woman who was new to Watson Lake, where the alleged crime is to have occurred. The husband of a woman who claims two off-duty RCMP officers sexually assaulted her has told a Yukon Supreme Court judge that he regrets not accompanying his wife to the party where she met the Mounties. The reality, moral of this news  story is that you cannot trust the RCMP even at a Party

2 Yukon Mounties acquitted of sexual assault Two RCMP officers have been acquitted of sexually assaulting a woman in the Yukon town of Watson Lake.

Yukon Mounties acquitted in sex assault case now face discipline hearing  The Canadian Press – Wed Mar 17, 11:47 PM   Sgt. Don Rogers confirms Belak and McLaughlin will be face an internal review process Rogers says the officers will appear before an adjudication board, which can hear testimony and review evidence before making a decision. He says the two officers will have the opportunity to defend themselves and cross-examine any witnesses that are called. No date for the hearing has been set.  Rogers says the men could face a range of penalties, from a written reprimand to dismissal from the force.

A pretend slap on the wrists is what they likely will get for showing the whole world that the Mounties cannot be trusted at parties, or when it comes to having sex  with another man’s wife.

RCMP drops Wagmatcook-shooting probe CBC – Fri Mar 12, 4:56 AM  RCMP went to John Simon’s home on the Cape Breton First Nations reserve in 2008 in response to a call that he was suicidal. An officer entered the home without orders and shot Simon, helped him to die at no extra charge.. just what Simon wanted too.. The racists RCMP will not take disciplinary action against an officer who fatally shot a Wagmatcook, N.S., man because the force took too long to start its investigation, an ongoing unacceptable fact especially when the natives are involved . Naturally the bad police farce still do cover up for their own Canada wide too..

A Nova Scotia First Nation is renewing its call for a public inquiry into a fatal shooting by an RCMP officer, saying the investigation that cleared the Mountie was deeply flawed.      RCMP Const. Jeremy Frenette was called to Simon’s home on Dec. 2, 2008. He climbed through a window to deal with an allegedly drunk, suicidal and armed Simon ignoring a supervisor’s directive to stay put and ended up killing  him.  Patsy MacKay urged the RCMP to “wait John out” because she believed he would simply fall asleep. In addition, the fact that Simon had an unloaded rifle in his hands when he was shot.  Patsy MacKay left the house when her common-law husband started drinking and took a rifle with her. There was no confrontation between the two, the band states in its report.  Also, MacKay wasn’t drunk,  the band maintains.  “All they [RCMP] had to do was own up. People do make mistakes. But they just wouldn’t, they the RCMP just refused to take responsibility and I don’t know why that is,” she said. “Only a public inquiry will answer those questions, not only for this community but for others across the country because so many are in the same position because of the policing structure, but also in a very specific way heal the community because the concluding report was an insult,” Gary Richard, the band’s lawyer.  HALIFAX, N.S. – The watchdog agency for the RCMP says rising public concern has prompted it to take the rare step of launching its own probe into the fatal shooting of a Nova Scotia man in his home by a police officer.  Ian McPhail, acting chairman of the RCMP complaints commission, announced Tuesday he has decided to proceed with an inquiry into the conduct of the RCMP in the Dec. 2, 2008, shooting death of John Simon.  McPhail said the probe – known as a “public interest investigation” under the RCMP Act – is of his own initiative rather than as a result of outside complaints.  “There are sufficient concerns related to this case which merit a public interest investigation,” McPhail said in an email.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/100316/national/ns_rcmp_shooting

Maniac killed a good cop.. WINGHAM, Ont. – The retired logger and avid hunter accused of gunning down an Ontario Provincial Police officer earlier this week died Thursday from wounds he received in a gunfight with police, as the officer’s family prepared to lay him to rest with full police honours.  Const. Vu Pham was shot and killed Monday after pulling over a pickup truck on a rural southwestern Ontario road. Fred Preston was then shot in an exchange of gunfire after another officer got to the scene near Wingham, Ont., north of London.  Preston was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder in the death of Pham and attempted murder relating to the other officer.  The 70-year-old former reeve of Joly township in northern Ontario had been in critical condition in hospital since Monday. But on Thursday night he was taken off life support, said a family member who did not want to be identified.  The province’s Special Investigations Unit confirmed the death.  Meanwhile, hundreds of people who knew Pham at various stages of his life – as a young boy newly arrived in Canada, to his years as a dedicated father and police officer – flocked to a funeral home Thursday to pay their respects.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/100311/national/officer_shot

DO ALSO NOTE THAT  I REALLY NOW DO NOT TRY TO PLEASE EVERYONE, I DO NOT DEPEND ON ADVERTISERS FOR NONE OF MY INCOME, SINCE I ALSO DO NOT WORRY ABOUT BEING FIRED OR NOW PLEASING ANY BOSSES I NOW CAN WRITE AND DEAL WITH THE TRUTH. SO I DO NOT HAVE TO RESORT TO LIES, OMISSIONS, SPINS AS WE SEE SO MANY BAD NEWS REPORTERS NOW EVEN DO AS WELL.
.
I am really rightfully disgusted as to how too many of the so called Canadian Professionals such as cops, RCMP officers, doctors, nurses, pastors tend to be bullies, abusers of others and too often now… they seem to falsely think they are above the law cause they hold an important job.

Nunavut RCMP officer charged after domestic assault The Canadian Press – Tue Mar 16, 10:13 PM IQALUIT, Nunavut – An RCMP officer in the tiny Baffin Island community of Pond Inlet has been charged with assault after a domestic disturbance. Const. Eric Ootoovak was locked up Sunday after fellow officers responded to a complaint from a home in the largely Inuit community. Ootoovak was on paternity leave at the time . An RCMP spokesman says it appears to have been a domestic incident, although the name of the victim hasn’t been released. Ootoovak, who has been released from custody, will appear in court on two counts of assault on June 1 in Pond Inlet

In reality we all do know there are good and bad people in real life, sadly too many bad persons, that includes bad professionals, the bad lawyers, bad doctors, bad nurses, bad hospital administrators, bad cops., bad RCMP., bad  corporations and bad business persons now too and not just too many bad, unacceptable Politicians, ministers too now. and bad hospitals even ..

NOW I ALSO KNOW FOR DECADES THAT OF YOU GIVE A GOOD WORKER A JOB HE DOES HIS BEST, WHEREAS IF YOU GIVE A BAD WORKER A JOB, THE SHIFTLESS PERSONS TRIES TO AVOID DOING ANY WORK EVEN BY LYING, HAVING TOO MANY COFFEE BREAKS, GOSSIPING WITH MANY OTHERS, LONG LUNCH BREAKS.. SUCKING UP TO OTHERS.. ETC

Ex-Alberta MP Jaffer’s drug, Impaired driving charges dropped

Public should know more about Jaffer: Nicholson  Globe and Mail  Mr. Jaffer is a former Conservative MP from Edmonton. He is married to Harper”s cabinet minister Helena Guergis.

Political stereotypes, joined at the hip National Post  What we think is this: that these people enter public life booming their concern for the little guy, the average Joe, the set-upon taxpayer, but as soon as they clip on their MP wings they can’t wait to shake off the dust of where they came from, parade their special status and go full prima donna as a matter of right.  Stephen Harper, we all remember, came out of Reform, a populist political movement that very particularly made a point of reminding Canadians how politicians, “once they got to Ottawa,” forgot the people, lost touch with their roots, ignored their constituents.

Guergis, Jaffer at height of hypocrisy TheChronicleHerald.ca  IT’S NO WONDER that many young people don’t pay attention to politics. It is a dreary parade of lumpy middle-aged people in suits reading misleading and evasive talking points to one another, projecting emotions they don’t feel as they defend their parties, attack other parties and attempt to attract the attention of tuned-out voters with dim-witted propaganda. Thank goodness, then, for Helena Guergis and Rahim Jaffer, the Tory poster couple for bad behaviour, for offering young people a bit of titillation this week. It has been pretty good theatre — a farce in two acts — wherein they behave badly, with no consequences to themselves beyond public scorn, and we all get to enjoy the spectacle. The Tories look like they are coddling a couple of spoiled brats, and they look like hypocrites. Much of the Tories’ electoral success was based on a simple-minded anti-crime message. They promise to get tough, and pass laws requiring mandatory sentences. They self-righteously and dishonestly bleat at the opposition for obstructing those bills, and then kill those bills by proroguing. The Jaffer case still points to the reality of our criminal justice system. A lot of people get light sentences because of plea bargains.Sad..

Jaffer and Guergis have done us all a favour for drawing attention to the limits of the Conservatives’ crime agenda. Their farcical support of it too.. When it came to appealing the light sentence given to one of their own the Conservatives shut up.

The Canadian Press

Conservative minister Helena Guergis, minister of state for the status of women, was recently forced to apologize for an angry outburst against airport and Air Canada staff in Charlottetown. She allegedly seethed at being put through airline procedures as she arrived minutes before a scheduled flight, calling the city a “hellhole” and uttering a profanity.  Guergis   is also dealing with the fallout from husband Rahim Jaffer’s careless-driving charge. Jaffer, a former Conservative MP, saw charges of impaired driving and drug possession dropped – a “break” in the words of the judge who heard his case.

This is the same new Political party that had promised to be good, different from all the others firstly but basically still are the same.

Too many Canadians  consider  the apparent incompetence, favouritism and indifference exhibited by the Crown in withdrawing the more serious charges, including impaired driving, laid against Jaffer as unacceptable. The former Reform and Conservative MP Rahim Jaffer gets a slap on the wrist. He received what even the judge in the case conceded was a “break”. Next the  Law and order Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper, federal Justice Minister, and the federal security minister are not demanding a retrial cause they are happy one of their own got off scott free?  Considering Jaffer’s own tough-on-crime messages and the Conservative government’s dim view of lenient sentencing by judges, this all smells  of real hypocrisy now to all..

The $500 fine given to former Conservative MP Rahim Jaffer for careless driving by an Ontario judge on March 9, after he was initially charged with cocaine possession, impaired driving and speeding, hardly sends a message as a deterrent. This case raises the question, Can influence, money and a good lawyer sway the course of justice? Most Canadians will consider the penalty handed out to Jaffer to be unreasonable. http://www.edmontonjournal.com/news/Jaffer+sentence+laws+jeopardy/2669583/story.html

Former Conservative MP Rahim Jafferwas stopped for speeding north of Toronto last September. Provincial police from the Caledon detachment arrested him after he admitted to having consumed two bottles of beer and he failed a breath test.Police laid three charges against Jaffer – possession of cocaine, drunk driving and speeding – for doing 90 kilometres an hour in a 50 km/h zone. The advocacy group Mothers Against Drunk Driving has written to Ontario’s attorney general, demanding to know why the drunk driving case against Jaffer fell apart. “It is critical that answers be provided as to why the case did not proceed with the original charges, given that the evidence appeared to warrant and support the charges,” wrote MADD Canada’s National President Margaret Miller in the letter. The NDP’s justice critic, Joe Comartin,  said he wants both the provincial attorney general and Justice Minister Rob Nicholson to explain to Canadians why very serious charges against Jaffer were dropped, because there’s a “perception” of a double-standard.

Former Conservative MP Rahim Jaffer pleaded guilty today in Orangeville, Ont., to careless driving.  Charges of cocaine possession and drunk driving were withdrawn. Jaffer, who is married to junior federal cabinet minister Helena Guergis, was fined $500. Jaffer, 38, was arrested last Sept. 10 after police stopped him for speeding in Palgrave, Ont., north of Toronto.  The judge said he hoped the former politician recognized the break he was getting. Jaffer was first elected as an Alberta Conservative MP in 1997 but lost in his riding in 2008.

“WHAT?!!!  What a joke. How in the hell do you plead coke possession and impaired driving down to careless driving?  This slimeball should be in jail. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE.”

Sadly  this is a crappy judgment.. a poor ordinary fellow would get no breaks like this.. Our Conservative government law and order, accountability falsely does not apply to one of their own..

The decision drew howls of outrage from government critics, who accused the Conservatives of gross hypocrisy for promoting an aggressive “tough-on-crime” agenda but remaining silent when the mantra was not applied to one of their own. Conservatives, up to and including the prime minister, have publicly criticized judges for sentences they deemed too light. Harper, unsolicited, publicly questioned the sentence handed to a Toronto terrorism convict in January.  But on Tuesday several Conservative MPs stressed that the Jaffer court proceedings were in Ontario jurisdiction and had nothing to do with the federal government. Yet political intervention is precisely what the Conservatives are pushing when they enact mandatory minimum sentencing laws, said several experts. “Prosecutors and judges strike deals to preserve proportionality. But because they can’t do it in public, they do it behind closed doors.” And a well-recorded history of increased plea bargains in areas of mandatory minimum sentences suggests it is people like Jaffer – connected, educated, wealthy – who benefit most, said criminologist Neil Boyd of Simon Fraser University in Burnaby.  so next the drunk cops will be let of the hook too ehhh
Rahim Jaffer and Helena Guergis have become the poster couple for political entitlement. Jaffer, a former MP and one-time chair of the Conservatives’s national caucus, was under intense pressure Wednesday to explain how he dodged impaired driving and cocaine possession charges in a plea bargain that earned him a $500 fine for careless driving. And the appearance of preferential treatment in his case was linked to that of his wife, the junior status of women minister who was allowed to board a plane last month despite throwing a public, obscenity-laced tantrum at Charlottetown airport.  Guergis issued a written statement apologizing for speaking “emotionally” to airport and airline staff while catching a plane. She conceded her conduct — allegedly yelling at employees, trying to force her way through a security barrier and grousing about being “stuck in this hell hole” — was inappropriate. Get rid of this couple they are an embaressement to all Canadians!!

Welcome to not one big Canada but too many seperate parts..

New Canadians , new immigrants to Canada are often really surprised to find out that next in reality, in fact , unlike the lies too often conveyed to them , that Canada in reality is not one big country with the same equal rights, the same equal  services available in all the parts of Canada. They are not only to surprised that the type of supposedly universal Medicare services available in Canada actually  seriously differs from province to province,  since Health and social welfare are provincial issues under provincial registrations, but so do   many of the laws, and related penalties, such as the penalties for drunk driving as well differ from province to province, so does the quality and the type of police services, social services now offered to all as well. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/10/03/insuring-adequate-consumer-protection/

AND WHAT ELSE?

Food, Health, Medical Standards  and professional standards and their enforcements vary often even from province to province too. University Education fees now also differ now too. When the governments lie and say they are looking after the good welfare of all of the citizens, it even seriously now depends where you actually do  live in Canada.

OTTAWA – Canadians have universal health care, but a new study shows big differences in health spending across the country, suggesting there may also be inequalities in the quality and quantity of medical care people receive. The analysis of health-care spending by Toronto-based Dale Orr Economic Insight shows that some provinces spend hundreds of dollars more per capita than others. The breakdown in medicare expenditures shows Newfoundland spends $1,000 more per person – or about 30 per cent more – than Quebec, which has been consistently near the bottom on spending on health care over the last decade.Ontario, Canada’s most populous and second most prosperous province in terms of per capita income, is surprisingly near the bottom on health-care spending at $3,712, higher only than Quebec’s $3,419. The highest per capita health-care spenders are Newfoundland at $4,490 and Saskatchewan and Alberta at just over $4,400 each. The amounts are forecasts for the year 2009 from the Canadian Institute of Health Information.

Here is what I at least have found amazing about real life, the amount of evil, wrong doings does depend on the actual places you go to. In Canada I have found some cities are worse over others. I have also found that some banking institutions, governmental offices  are better over others. The same truth applies to hospitals, schools or what ever. Needless to say all this depends on the local management styles, policies or actually too often the lack of it.

PS: The amount of money spent does not necessary mean quality care.. they the governments  are merely putting more money into pails full of holes merely.. There generally is still no real personal  management of the quality of medical services provided by doctors and nurses anywhere in Canada.. thus the medical workers they still do tend to do their own thing which most of the time still seems to be coffee breaks, etc., as i have detailed elsewhere often too…
