Say no to an RCMP police State

As Tommy Douglas called for probe of RCMP surveillance, Mounties spied on him The Canadian Press – OTTAWA – “Newly declassified records from the early 1960s show that even as Tommy Douglas called for a probe of RCMP spying, the Mounties were actively investigating the national NDP leader’s political sympathies.

Douglas pointed in April 1963 to the case of a Regina woman who was regularly interrogated by the RCMP, noting the top Mountie had dismissed her story as fiction. He pushed for a special Commons committee to look into the matter.

“The tendency to label innocent people as Communists or bad security risks without any opportunity for them to be heard has gone far enough,” he declared.

That very month, the newly disclosed pages show, RCMP intelligence officials were drafting secret memos casting suspicion on Douglas’s own activities — including the politician’s correspondence with the Communist Party of Canada in Saskatoon.

Just weeks earlier, a Mountie constable quietly investigating the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians in Vernon, B.C., cited Douglas’ recent visit to the city, apparently drawing on details from an informant who drove the NDP leader to an event at a high school auditorium.

Library and Archives Canada, which now holds the Douglas file, fought for six years to keep the pages secret. They were disclosed to The Canadian Press after a federal judge ordered the archives to review the nine-volume intelligence dossier with an eye to releasing more.

The fragmentary pages help flesh out a key chapter of the RCMP security branch’s long-standing interest in the trailblazing Prairie socialist.”

The RCMP managers, many of whom are cost ineffctive, alcoholics, need all to be kicked out now!

Canada a Police state?

and who says it is not? The dictatorial Politicians who send their watchdogs against the citizens. Do not have a false impression that the Police are here to serve their masters, the citizens in Canada, for firstly they serve themselves and next they solely serve their political masters who make their police budgets .

People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.

Fact! Free speech right in Canada is controlled and is mainly for the cops and the establishment and  if you did not know that already too,  Police state is in, freedom went out as even Toronto, Canada went  into the  police state security modes. Did we really need all those cops there now? What could they not have done it all as well with half the numbers? Just cause there are a few bad guys amongst the citizens too, not just in the civil and public services, it  is still not a  false excuse to now again oppress, deny the citizens their nights.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/11/23/inevitable-reality/   https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/05/20/going-overboard-with-the-law-2/

The false abuse of a minority rights is an unacceptable rightfully majority rights abuse still.

Police State Canada. The G20 Summit: Peaceful Protesters Arrested at Gun Point. A Blatant Violation of Fundamental Rights.  What is clear is that the despotic governments, police used any excuse  pretext to stage a coup, essentially shutting down the right to public dissent. 2010 G20 police state mass aggression in Toronto. One of the most disturbing results of the participatory inquiry, at a systemic level, is that these cops aren’t just pigs. The targeting, intimidation, and terrorizing of protestors – treated like “the enemy” in a war – was, like with all recent anti-globalization protests, systematic. The patterns described by the thousands of victims (from psychological intimidation to broken skin and rape,  ) are identical. These are no ordinary pigs. These thugs had to be trained to execute these manoeuvres against civil society. It is the modus operandi of US anti-democratic terrorism to train the military hit squads of client states (for example in Latin America) to search out and destroy civil society: union leaders, activist teachers, independent media, community organizers, etc. Exactly the same tactics are being used against activists and organizers in Canada. The cops are trained to view activists, not as the much needed societal agents that they are, but as “the enemy” that must be destroyed. Pre-emptive arrests, bogus charges, ad-hoc interrogations, imposed restrictive undertakings, and much more.  These cops are not just racist (all-ists) individuals because of their particular personal circumstances. Their language and actions show that they are trained into a military culture where protestors and activists are the enemy and are to be rooted out and intimidated away from societal participation. They aren’t just pigs. They are anti-democracy commandos.

People were held for up to 35 hours with a single meal.  Inadequate water, as little as an ounce every 12 hours.  Facilities over-capacity. Major delays in processing.  Inconsistent charges.  People put in solitary confinement.  No pillows or mattresses to sleep.  Unsanitary and unsafe living conditions.  Police intimidation of released detainees. Non-stop light exposure/loss of natural light rhythm/sensory deprivation.  Exposure to extreme cold.   Sexual harassment of women and Gay people.  Youth as young as 15 in adult cells.  Denial of legal counsel.  No phone call.   Belonging stolen/damaged.  Threats of assault/harassment.  Obviously illegal civilian arrests.  No access to medication or medical treatment.  Abandonment and more police intimidation. G20 security  jad budget provided money to make all of the cops happy and not the citizens

This documentation of the treatment of the G20 detainees — “protesters,” by-passers, photographers, journalists, people in the wrong place at the wrong time, including their own homes! — reveals what the mainstream media, from newspapers to broadcasting, is carefully avoiding, namely that  their treatment by the “force” (the real Black Block, one could argue) was beyond the pale and akin to torture. It’s come to this: specially trained police are fully capable of and willing to subject anybody and everybody to totalitarian style degradation, subjugation and abuse. (Who trained them?) Wherever you are and whoever you are, you could be next, as there is no escape when “the plan” springs into action.  See what Stephen Harper’s governance (if you can call it that) has brought us. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=19979

They know exactly what they are doing. There was no spontaneous “over-reaction.” There were no cops “out of control” – the obvious fact is that were always in control. This was a very strategic operation from beginning to end.  The decision to allow the Black Bloc to do its destructive work without any intervention at all was strategic as the police and their political masters knew the media would play their pre-assigned reactionary role and focus on the destruction of property.  I can’t think of a better wake-up call for all of us than the wanton violation of civil liberties and democracy that happened on the weekend. Calling for an independent investigation, demanding civil liberties be respected, denouncing the governments involved, raising money to defend those falsely charged – all of this is necessary. But it is not nearly enough. http://boundarysentinel.com/node/6294

This police response is probably the greatest single assault on political rights in the Canadian state since 1970. In October 1970, using two kidnappings by the Front de Liberation du Quebec (FLQ) as the pretext, the federal government invoked the War Measures Act, sent troops onto the streets of Montreal and had about 500 people arrested, including labour and community activists, journalists and artists (most of whom had no connection to the tiny FLQ). The total bill for security for the summit was well over $1 billion. There was nothing spontaneous about the police actions. Police have been planning for months, and that planning clearly included the infiltration of activist groups. The G8/G20 police state regime is not exceptional, but is a warning of the direction Harper, the cops and the security services will go if we do not stop them. Protest against this police state regime is important.

A week after more than 900 protesters were arrested or detained at Toronto G20 events, protests were held in several Canadian cities Thursday to draw attention to the way police handled demonstrators. “The level of police repression and violence,” said Danie Royer of the Anti-Capitalist Convergence (CLAC), an umbrella group running the Montreal event, was “unprecedented in the history of Canada.” In Toronto, several thousand people took part in a peaceful protest at Queen’s Park that later moved to Dundas Street near the Eaton Centre. Many on hand were those held by police last weekend and who have alleged police brutality, including denying detainees water, food and phone calls, and packing upward of 40 people into a single cell.  In Winnipeg, some 100 people showed up to protest what they feel were human rights violations by police during the summit.Former Winnipeg mayoral candidate Kaj Hasselriis called protesting “an important part of our democracy.”  The End Police Brutality protest was held in conjunction with other protests in front of police headquarters throughout Canadian cities   http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Protests+continue+over+police+actions/3225116/story.html

About 200 people gathered in front of Ottawa police headquarters on Elgin Street on Wednesday to protest against police violence during the G20 meetings in Toronto. Many of the Ottawa protesters were also at the G20 demonstrations and said they witnessed or experienced police brutality. Demonstrators marched from City Hall to the Edmonton Police Service headquarters Saturday, in protest of police actions in Toronto during the G20. The aim of the “March to Demand Justice” is to send a clear message a police sate is just more unacceptable police brutality against the citizens.

By the way how much did the Police, politicians, themselves now steal from the security budgets, an undeniable too common Canadian practice it seems as well,

Inevitable reality POLICE STATE

Undeniably now  firstly the bad Security Minister Con Vic Toews who tended to sleep with the bad cops resigned next because of his false attempts to pass this bad bill
.
The bill,  which was expected to be passed unanimously, would require ISPs to report tips on websites providing child pornography, as well as informing police if they believe a child-porn offence has been committed using their Internet service.
.
Similar legislation already exists in the United States, and Canadian child-protection advocates have been calling for similar action in Canada. In June, Canada’s federal ombudsman for victims of crime called for rules requiring ISPs to reveal to police the names and addresses of customers suspected of posting child pornography, and to keep long-term records of where customers have been surfing.
Under the guise of pornography keeping  permanent  long-term records of where all  customers have been surfing is a start of a police state. The ISPs are already also keeping copies  of all of the customers email sent too. And we know that our digital phone calls are also monitored and recorded.. and no court approval used ehh..
Ironic if I wanted to be sure the government acted on a matter I used to like to phone the local news editors and leave my message on his answering machine, knowing the government likely had it bugged.. and often I got quicker results  next too..
 .
Remember the Conservative US president Robert Nixon and Watergate, and how History often repeats itself. If PM Stephen Harper believes in  and enforces our free speech he certainly now never shows it, he already had used the RCMP to try to shut up the news reporters as we know..

Now about this child porn Bill..
 .
I’m a little confused about the point of this law. Child pornography is already illegal. Not reporting a crime is also illegal. So if an ISP knowingly harbors child pornography, then can’t they already be charged?
.
You cannot force private companies to do work for you because you’re lazy and don’t want to jump through your own hoops, that pretty much says it all if you think about it, and besides , all these idiots are doing is trying to sneak in the backdoor and see what you’re doing in the privacy of your own home , including your bedroom ….   sure child porn is bad, but putting the jackboots to the internet is nothing more than a disingenuous attempt at information muzzling/censorship.
.
Next thing you know, any site that questions the actions of the government will be censored under threat of putting the ISP out of business. BTW there are so many ways to circumvent the monitoring it boggles the mind……the criminals will use encryption…..how do you propose to monitor that..??. Are you going to crack the encryption…..or outlaw it?? What about the use of proxies….what are you going to do there? Do you even know what fricken proxy is?? Shows the intelligence level of our current government… pfft…. morons  In a country as hungry for fascism as today’s Canada, before long we will all be deputized as little block watch captains and required to police the behaviour of our neighbours — or face punishment as criminals ourselves. Quick, citizen, report your neighbour before he reports you!  And see that you behave yourself, because your neighbours are all peeping through their net curtains at you, their fingers poised on the speed dial buttons on their phones, ready to report you for the the slightest exhibition of what they regard as unusual behavior – because if they don’t report you, you will report them!  The problem with this recommendation is that you can’t oppose it without appearing to be somehow in favour of child pornography. Let’s assume for the moment we all agree that it’s a revolting practice that should be stamped out. The problem is that the role of the ISPs is simply to provide a link from a computer to the world wide web. That’s it. As soon as you turn them into monitors, suddenly they can be seen as responsible for the content of literally millions and millions of sites.  However it’s a rather slippery slope to start putting private companies in charge of monitoring the entire web, and I while I completely support the current move, I can see this step advancing well beyond the “pass on complaints” and would strongly opppose that increase in responsibility . Further more what business do ISP’s have policing the internet, should car dealers hand out speeding tickets now too?   With this, the ISPs will simply report every innocuous thing that they can. They will react to the governments foolish law What I am saying is that imposing a duty on businesses to snoop on their customers, and threatening jail time for failure, is obscene in the context of what people face for crimes of commission. And why is this any different than expecting a car manufacturer to do jail time if their products are used in a child abduction, and they don’t alert police? ( I dislike this federal juetice Minister Nicholson more and more each time he opens his stupid mouth) by overwhelming them with every piece of information possible, of which around 99.999% will be useless. The police will be overburdened, and we will be two steps back, not forward. I know don’t know how much it will help authorities to find the suspects but one thing for sure .. there will a new charge on my internet bill CPMC(Child pornography monitoring charge) and they will tell me that it’s a government fee. Is it worth the violation of our rights and freedoms… to privacy, to associate, to communicate in private. 1984 under the guise of a child protection law. This is a bad law and should not be accepted by anyone. The police already have all they need at their disposal with the issuance of court ordered warrants. This law is much more nefarious than people are being led to believe and it is no surprise that it is coming from Harper and his neo-clowns. what were the alternatives to this (probably useless) scheme. I’m not against strong laws against child pornography, I’m against pointless laws that are passed simply so a party or Parliament in general can be seen being tough on crime without actually doing much of anything at all. Either this government is unbelievably ignorant or their sick enough to exploit children to pass their hidden agenda. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/11/24/isp-mandatory-child-pornography.html
,
In no way do I wish to support those who deal in child pornography and exploitation, but this bill ALSO represents a serious change in the relationship between ISPs and privacy laws. I’m concerned that the Conservatives are using a non-debatable issue like child pornography to pave the way for stricter anti-piracy laws like those we’ve seen proposed in England. http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/11/23/internet-child-pornography-isp-bill.html
,

Child porn law a small help  The Cape Breton Post.,  Critics of the federal Conservative government tend to take a skeptical view of its war on crime, interpreting much it as a political play for easy applause, claiming exorbitant credit for measures that will have modest effect. A new bill aimed at tightening the rules on Internet traffic in child pornography is susceptible to the same criticism but Canadians are likely to overlook this and approve any useful step to impede of a heinous trade.
,
Recent findings on child porn activity are shocking. Steve Sullivan, Canada’s federal ombudsman for victims of crime, reports that child sexual abuse is growing an “alarming” rate, along with criminal charges for the production and distribution of child porn (up 800 per cent between 1998 and 2003). There are more and more images available featuring younger and younger children and increasing violence. The Canadian Centre for Child Protection, which operates the tipster site Cybertip.ca, found in its analysis of Internet child porn images that more than three-quarters of them featured at least one image of a child younger than eight years and many showed infants or toddlers. In a survey of 800 websites in 60 countries, the centre placed Canada in the top three (after the U.S. and Russia) in hosting websites with child abuse images, and second behind the United States in hosting sites that sell images of children being sexually abused. Experts hasten to point out that in most cases the operators of these sites are nowhere near Canada but they choose to operate through Internet facilities in this country in part because of our comparatively lax laws on electronic traffic in child porn. Canada figured in a disproportionately large nine per cent of the worldwide traffic. The new law, introduced in Parliament on Tuesday, will require Internet companies – Internet service and email providers, as well as content hosting and social networking sites – to report to a designated agency tips they receive about child porn activities through their facilities and to notify police when they believe criminal traffic in child porn is occurring. They will be required to preserve evidence as well. There’s already a voluntary system like this in place among major Internet service providers in Canada but this makes the practices mandatory for all. Internet service providers don’t monitor the content of traffic so the system will continue to rely on tips and complaints. This in itself won’t make a big dent in the torrent of child porn swill available worldwide but it will give police and anti-child porn agencies such as Cybertip.ca some more chances to pick up the threads of networks and rings, and possibly even to rescue a few more children from horrific situations. The Internet has transformed modern life in many positive ways. The explosion of electronic child porn is the outstanding example of the cost of this. If some principles of privacy and freedom have to be qualified to reduce that cost to the children of the world, so be it. http://www.capebretonpost.com/index.cfm?sid=305781&sc=151

Federal government introduces mandatory child porn reporting legislation  By Michael Geist

Justice Minister Rob Nicholson today tabled the Child Protection Act (Online Sexual Exploitation). As widely reported, Bill C-58 creates a mandatory disclosure requirement on Internet providers where they become aware of child pornography websites or have reason to believe a subscriber is using their service to violate child pornography laws. Where an Internet provider submits a report on a user, they must preserve the relevant computer data for 21 days and they are prohibited from disclosing the disclosure to the customer. Failure to report may result in fines or imprisonment and providers are granted immunity from liability for reporting the activity. The definition of Internet provider is broad, extending beyond just ISPs to include those providing Internet access, hosting, or email services. In other words, services like Google, Hotmail, and Facebook are all covered.
,

The bill shares similarities with provincial laws (ie. Ontario) and those that report under the provincial law are exempt from the federal version. While few will criticize a bill targeting child pornography – everyone agrees that child pornography is abhorrent and we need to ensure that we have laws to deal with the problem – it is hard to see what this bill actually accomplishes. Canada already has:

• an online child pornography tip service that receives thousands of tips

• ISPs that block access to child pornography images

• some of the toughest child pornography laws in the world

numerousexamples of childpornographyarrests

• law enforcement focused on child pornography virtually to the exclusion of all other online issues

Further, while there are reports that Canada is a source of child pornography websites, a major European-based study concluded that focusing on the World Wide Web and blocking content makes little sense in trying to combat child pornography (the same report found that image blocking initiatives like the Canadian Project Cleanfeed are ineffective). Instead, the real problems lies in dissemination of child pornography in newsgroups, private groups, and other private spaces that fall largely outside the potential for tips envisioned by Bill C-58 or Canada’s Project Cleanfeed.

It is billed by the London Police Department Chief as “the best (shooting) range in Ontario.” At $22 million, it is certainly modern but one of the features might sit poorly with judges and civil libertarians.  While police can shoot a fleeing suspect that presents an imminent threat to the public, it is relatively rare in most crimes and raises obvious questions under Tennessee v. Garner. The entire project will ultimately cost $32 million and the facility’s gun range is billed as training officers to do a range of shooting,

Hypocritical Police and Conservatives want more policing over the Canadian citizens, the same persons who wrongfully firstly do not want to give us a detailed list, copy of all of their own expense accounts  and do note that too. Meanwhile  a Toronto doctor is facing a disciplinary hearing over allegations he approved special meal allowances for people on welfare and disability programs according to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.  Dr. Roland Wong,  said he continues to approve applications for the special diet but only if he believes patients have an underlying medical condition that qualifies them for the financial supplement.  “Today, I signed maybe five, four,” he said. “Sometimes more, depends.”  He accused the auditor general of having a very “slanted view” of the program, and suggested he should be looking instead at the woefully inadequate support payments paid to people in need.  Wong said he wasn’t overly concerned about the disciplinary hearing because it was based on a complaint laid against him by a municipal councillor.  “This is a case of politicians against a physician, not the patient against the physician,” he said.  The Special Diet Allowance provides up to $250 per month to a person on social assistance who requires special foods for such conditions as diabetes.  Councillor Doug Holyday said  . “This can’t go on.”  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/torsun/091209/canada/doc_faces_probe_over_dietary_payouts

freedom lost is hard to gain back… Say No to a Police State

CANADA.cops1

Police ‘protesters’ called before ethics panel  The Quebec Police Ethics Committee has ordered a review of the conduct of three provincial police officers who posed as protesters at the summit of the three North American leaders in Montebello, Que., in August 2007. Infiltration by police officers to arrest criminal offenders is acceptable, but all acts committed by the officers towards that end are not necessarily legitimate, the committee said. And people barely raised a peep when this police state action was uncovered. It’s about time. I have nothing against cops posing as drug dealers to catch criminals. I have nothing against cops posing as 12 year old girls in chat rooms to catch paedophiles. What I do take exception to is cops entering into a legal and peaceful protest in order to ‘attack’ the police and thereby justify the police attacking the crowd to maintain law and order.  The bad cops do need to be kicked off the force and their superiors need to be shown the door sans golden parachutes as well.

The bigger question isn’t these criminal cops behavior but how widespread these despicable tactics are used? I think we are barely touching the surface with these thugs behavior. Our entire police system needs a thorough cleansing. This just goes to show how vital a Cop watch program is needed to protect what’s left of our democracy  ..Canada used to be a free country with free speech and freedom of movement. I have heard someone say we are moving into an era of ‘post-democracy’   all the new surveillance cameras in Toronto, police infiltrations in Montreal and military patrolling the streets of Vancouver.  is this the Canada you want ?   freedom lost is hard to gain back… or are you now going to just tell your kids stories of when Canada used to be a free country ?  if you are allowed to speak at all.   http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2009/10/23/police-protesters-ethics.html

Allowing the RCMP, cops to use the Internet to spy on anyone makes an unacceptable police state

 CITIZEN.Protection,Laws

When you honestly use your own almost non existent right of free speech to point out to the cops how bad they really are, one of the first stages of their personal grief is their  false denial, they need professional help here  too, and they response you are crazy, this diversion tactic does not change how bad they are, how too lazy they are to change themselves now too. Police like to label, bash others as criminals, but as uncorrectable persons, but when they do they same thing, they claim they can be retrained, corrected, such hypocrites they now are as well. One of the first things the police do about their accuser is to harass them, pay them back, investigate the accuser and not the complaint now too. I have been too often falsely police harassed myself.

Allowing the police who falsely too generally are still accountable to no one  to conduct internet surveillance without oversight is the beginning of a police state controlled by the party in power and we should have none of it. What we firstly do  need to set up an independent citizen based police review boards to handle all of the police complaints, honestly and fairly Canada wide now too. The Police are far from being angels as we all can know, the RCMP included. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/10/25/canadas-bad-police-officers/

Imagine this the new email programs inluding windows live and google mail  are now all designed to keep all youir emails on an exterior server for 30 days so the cops can read and access them at any time. The cops reading your email and seeing what you do on the net next as well.. a clear police state.

The current Public Safety Minister, Peter Van Loan, is allowing the police to get unfettered internet surveillance by the police. Last June, he tabled a “lawful access” bill that establishes new surveillance requirements for Internet service providers, and it also features mandatory disclosure of customer information, including name, address, IP address and e-mail address merely upon request and without court oversight. This is rightfully and totally unacceptable.

The Customs Act gives Canada’s border officers authority to examine people’s personal baggage and goods whether they are arriving or departing from Canada, including scrutiny of electronic devices. “Officers are trained to search electronic media for child pornography, obscene material and hate propaganda,” Border officers have powers of arrest, detention and search and seizure, as well as the authority to take breath and blood samples, issue arrest warrants and operate detention facilities for immigrants. But   the border agency has no independent watchdog to investigate public complaints.  http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/10/02/tech-laptop-privacy-law-border.html

VANCOUVER, B.C. – The lawyer for Robert Dziekanski’s mother says the B.C. government should replace the RCMP with a provincial police force.  Dziekanski died nearly two years ago at Vancouver’s airport after he was shocked with a Taser by four Mounties.  In his final submission at a public inquiry into the death, lawyer Walter Kosteckyj says the RCMP acts as the provincial police force in British Columbia, but doesn’t want to be held accountable to the provincial legislature.  The RCMP officers themselves have claimed the provincial inquiry has no jurisdiction over them.  And Kosteckyj says the government of Canada will make the same argument in its final submissions this week.  He says that’s undemocratic, and the only solution is to stop using the Mounties in B.C. and instead create a province-wide force.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/091005/national/taser_inquiry

VANCOUVER, B.C. – At best, the four RCMP officers who confronted Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver’s airport and stunned him several times with a Taser panicked, the lawyer for Robert Dziekanski’s mother told the public inquiry into his death Monday.  At worst, they arrived with a plan to use what amounted to excessive force, Walter Kosteckyj said in his final submission to the inquiry.  Either way, the Mounties failed to live up to their training and the law, he said.  “The Tasering of Mr. Dziekanski at its best would be characterized as a premature, hurried and panicked response, and at the worst was a premeditated and planned attack,” Kosteckyj said  Kosteckyj said the officers acted improperly from the moment they entered the airport, not taking time to assess the situation or communicate with Dziekanski, and resorting to the Taser within seconds of approaching the man.  Despite the officers’ claims to the contrary, Kosteckyj said the swiftness of their response suggests they approached Dziekanski already planning to use the stun gun. Kosteckyj spent more than 10 minutes listing discrepancies, including the Mounties’ repeated assertions that Dziekanski stood through the Taser jolts, had to be tackled to the ground, and was coming at the officers yelling with his hands above his head when the Taser was fired.  And he said airport officials made the “unconscionable” decisions not to call the facility’s own firefighters after Dziekanski was stunned and to not bring an automatic defibrillator to the scene despite a standing policy to do so.   http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/091005/national/taser_inquiry

Can you belive it the number of bad mounties who are still allowed to keep their jobs.. If we did some thing  bad a work we all  would have been fired a long time ago..

ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE IN DENIAL WHO CANNOT ADMIT ANY PERSONAL  WRONG DOINGS, SINS NOW THEY ARE IN A FALSE DENIAL STILL TOO

Not just in Churches, amongst the police, politicians, civil and public servants, but I have never seem so many lying, mental people in one place like I have amongst the medical workers I have dealt with this year in  in Hospitals, convalescent, old age homes who really do delude themselves too often about their self importance and the positive role they are functioning in.  When a  professional cannot see what they are doing now is simply  so wrong they themselves do now need real professional help too.

The People who lie often, the  professionals now included, they tend to have severe personal,  mental disorders next cause one tends to eventually believe next ones lies as being the truth, and they can no no longer differentiate their own lies from reality, the truth.

Narcissistic, selfish, self centered  Mental Disorders too evident now even in many of the so called medical Professionals leads  these persons to  dwell in self-absorption, fantasy, illusion, where she or he has exaggerated claims to talents, importance, or specialness,  manifesting evidence  of a need for constant admiration from others,  a lack of empathy for all others, persistent in this too,  have rigid personality traits and coping styles, clearly  inflexible, do show a  hypersensitivity to any criticism , defeat or  negative realities thus they rather  are pathological in  denial by the their falsity, contrived replacement of the truths which they still must  face eventually .  These SEVERE PERSONALITY disorders are generally personally ongoing too leading to more impaired social and/or occupational functioning and can make it difficult to pinpoint a clear dividing line between their  pathology and their so called normality. Most of these people with their personality disorders may not perceive that there is anything wrong with their behavior and thus they are not motivated to change it. It is important to note that these  personality disorders are considered to have their onset in late adolescence or early adulthood and they alone are responsible for it too.

Denial, it is very very common when many an individual, even amongst so called professionals, even in pastors now included,  are openly confronted with their own wrong doings, that they resort to a false denial. When confronted with the truth the denier they  often respond with a similar personal counter attack remark as   ”you are crazy”.  “I reject your reality… and substitute my own.”  Their false denial, diversion, distortion does not change the negative reality about themselves still though.  Sadly it is a negative natural human tendency to devolve into denial.”    It’s not just a moral compass that’s lacking, but the ability to honest, or to stand apart. Denial often comes out of a false pride, a fear of being openly exposed as being wrong. Denial is a false convenient escape, excuse for inaction  for persons now  facing a situation that requires a decision or action that conflicts with his or her established past policy. Denial too often can be  further disastrous upon themselves and others.. for denial is not seeing data at all or seeing it and coming to an erroneous conclusion within oneself. One’s false denial is often based on a false assumption  of one’s past great success and often precedes their own severe personal failure next due to a personal disconnect with real life. Illustrated fully by the story of the Emperor with new clothes.

Denial (also called abnegation) is a defense mechanism postulated by Sigmund Freud, in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence, a mechanism of the immature mind that conflicts with the ability to learn from and cope with reality. The subject may now deny the reality of the unpleasant fact altogether (simple denial), admit the fact but deny its seriousness (minimization) or admit both the fact and seriousness but deny responsibility (transference). The concept of denial is particularly related to the denial of one’s addiction to alcohol for example, or to one slandering others, abusing them stealing, lying.. their denial or their  minimization of their own wrong doings is the  essential part of what enables them next to to continue his or her behavior in the face of evidence that, to an outsider, that is   overwhelming.   “The American Heart Association cites denial as a principal reason that treatment of a heart attack is delayed. Because the symptoms are so varied, and often have other potential explanations, the opportunity exists for the patient to deny the emergency, often with fatal consequences. It is common for patients to delay mammograms or other tests because of a fear of cancer, even though this is clearly maladaptive.”

Types of Denial include now the Denial of fact: This form of denial is where someone avoids a fact by lying. This lying can take the form of an outright falsehood (commission), leaving out certain details in order to tailor a story (omission), This form of denial involves avoiding personal responsibility by blaming, minimizing or justifying.   Denial of responsibilityDenial of impact: avoiding thinking about or understanding the harms their behavior have caused to themselves or others.  Denial of awareness: they do not admit any previous awareness of the negative reality.  Denial of cycle: Denial of cycle is where a person avoids looking at their decisions leading up to an event or does not consider their pattern of decision making and how harmful behavior is repeated. Denial of denial:  This latter form of denial typically overlaps with all of the other forms of denial, but involves more self-delusion. People in a false denial are really nuts, delusional..

There are tools and practices that we can implement to overcome the psychological trap of denial. Public exposure and prosecution of the guilty is one of the best approach serving everyone’s best interest too. It is a clearly established fact with good basis as to why our Canadian leaders, politicians, police, military, public and civil servants  who are always to be exemplary are even personally are to held to a higher standard, accountability in reality.

You see I can tell the truth cause I do not have a boss, I  am not an ass kisser, I am not running for any office, or selling anything, I am not hiding anything , I  am nothing but an ordinary honest, mature, decent  person.

BIGGEST JOKE OF THE YEAR – Police Services

Calgary police shot more people in 2016 than any other Canadian city’s officers 2016 has been a notoriously bad year for CPS with nine current and former officers facing criminal charges—including three officers who were charged by ASIRT for lying in their reports about the arrest of 34-year-old Clayton Prince. There are over 2,000 officers and too many bad apples. City and police admit there is a ‘problem’ with the Calgary Police Service

.

A  retired Calgary police detective is calling for greater oversight of the Calgary Police Service also  suggested a separate body should hold police leadership to account. Calgary Police Service,   has dealt with reports of bullying and sexual harassment throughout the last year. Calgarians need to start asking some tough questions and demand transparency from Calgary police leadership and from independent police organizations like the Calgary Police Association and Calgary Police Commission.

.

Toronto looks to photo radar to cut cop costs , Toronto s MAYOR  John Tory asks Wynne to bring back photo-radar to catch speeders..  Toronto’s request comes as municipalities across the province are trying to rein in ballooning police budgets. HOW ABSURD, CUT POLICE COSTS, LAY OFF MORE USELESS COPS..

MONEY GRAB (2)

Answer the  question: Does photo radar save lives? Does it reduce collisions and increase safety? Or  does photo radar provide a steady stream of income for the municipalities who use it? Initially, photo radar was always going to be used for school and construction zones.  The one answer  that is without question.  It makes money – lots and lots of money and it’s simply too easy for municipalities to get drunk with easy money..

MONEY GRAB (1)

The oppressive police enforcement of revenue generating speeding tickets enforcement is still  basically economically beneficial   to a very small, isolated segment of society, the related cops, judges, lawyers, and it is false  job security approach for them, stealing the taxpayers money, a false hidden tax. Speeding is not the major cause of car accidents, related deaths but Drunk driving, impaired, drive, road rage and texting are. Photo Radars do not address this as well. “Seriously, with all the crime and corruption rampant  is this the best that our police can do?”

.

The Calgary  police vehicles photographed with a speed on green camera or red light camera are reviewed separately. The Police driver of the vehicle then fills out a Driver Response Form, where they must justify their actions unlike ordinary citizens. Lying justifications can include a pursuit of a suspect as well or  responding to emergency calls. “Everyone will be working off the same playbook,” cops only not citizens. “So, there will be consistent accountability as well as standards of Police discipline.” in theory not in practice all police officers are subject to the criminal code when appropriate.  They  mostly get a Paid vacation and no criminal charges – and the outcome is always the same. It sure is good to be a cop these days, they get a good pay, they get away with everything including speeding and drunk driving. Lucky ducks.

.

Citizens are still calling for change in   local speed traps. I think over the years they have just tacked on additional fines, or put up red light cameras, or doing one thing or another to try and generate revenue for their city.  Cities falsely are using traffic citations to fund city government.  Some cities it’s upwards of 8% to 10% of their revenue instead of .5 percent  is generated by fines and fees.    Many cities   have used fines and fees to fund a large portion of their budget, police budgets included . Too many Police Department  even have an illegal quota system that requires  officers to write three traffic tickets per day and make at least one arrest every two days. A  quota encourages officers to ticket people regardless of whether motorists’ behaviour is actually endangering the public or could be corrected with a warning. Traffic fines affect the poor and are ineffective against those they are to be really targeting, the rich. Most   cops saw their fellow residents less as citizens to protect than as “potential offenders and sources of revenue.”  Causing  “breakdown of trust” between people, police, governments and courts.  Missouri cities can no longer treat their citizens like ATMs,  as the state’s governor signed a bill capping how much money local governments can collect from traffic tickets and fines.” For people who have lived in these communities that fear they are going to be pulled over and harassed because that city needs money, that’s going to change,”
.
CALGARY an other  city gone mad with revenue generating traffic tickets. While Automobile traffic accidents are the number one cause of death for Americans, Canadians  ages 3 to 33 and while Automobile traffic accidents are the most common source of personal injury the reality is that   SPEEDING NOT THE MAIN CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS,  What is then the cause of major car accidents? Drunk driving, road rage, impaired driving, distracted while driving…. and what the revenue generating traffic division has not gone after all this mostly instead yet too? and why Not?
.
The insurance industry itself too  often sleeps with legislators, cops because it wants to make loads of money by finding out reasons not to pay out as well.. they support traffic tickets even though they do not reduce the car accidents significantly cause it gives more money to the insurance firms,  this is immoral gouging of consumers too often rather too.. now what about having some honest watchdogs and legislators rather. Go after the drunk drivers, raise the price of the booze firstly..
https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/10/speeding-is-not-the-major-cause-of-car-accidents-still/
.
GET THE POLICE TO BE BETTER EDUCATED AND HAVE THEM LEARN THE FACTS AS TO THE MAIN CAUSES OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, AND AS TO WHO THE MAJOR REAL CRIMMINALS NOW ARE AS WELL.  AND IT IS NOT MERELY THE ORDINARY  PERSONS WHO DRIVES A LITTLE BIT TOO FAST.. IT IS OK FOR COPS TO LIKE TO DRIVE FAST AND TO LOVE HOT CARS EHH

COPS

.
Police often do calls for tougher rules on others but not upon themselves. Such real hypocrites now still too. .   Do what I say over do what I do is part of the hypocrisy now existing too often too at all levels, federal, provincial, municipal, in cops as well and not just in many preacher’s lives now as well..

.

Calgary police officer Jeff Duggan has been charged with assault after an alleged on-duty fight at his ex-wife’s home. Duggan’s ex-wife reported the officer “verbally threatened to assault” her current boyfriend and “attempted to force his way into the home.” Police said the accused was in uniform at the time. Police have also charged Duggan with uttering threats and four counts of breach of probation.

.

“It’s worrying to learn the Calgary Police Service is a workplace marred by accusations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, bullying and intimidation. Society’s justice system depends on victims being confident they can report wrongdoing without repercussions, so it’s not acceptable that members of our police force believe they must remain silent. It is one thing to present an image of unity to the public, but it’s quite another to be afraid to call out colleagues for reprehensible behaviour.  The Calgary Police Service’s management and the Calgary Police Commission need to make reforming this toxic workplace environment their highest priority.”

.

An internal workplace review of the Calgary Police Service has revealed claims of sexual assault, sexual harassment, bullying and intimidation, and a workplace culture that’s left some officers too fearful to formally complain.  http://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/review-unearths-claims-of-sex-assault-bullying-and-intimidation-at-calgary-police-service

 .
Wrongful inactions, Cover ups, False denial of bad politicians, bad cops, bad persons, false pastors, false priests are much too common in Canada too.
.

David McQueen, 53, was suffering from depression, was killed  in an armed Calgary police standoff in northwest Calgary after police were called after shots were being fired indiscriminately from the home, including one that struck a Calgary Transit bus and nearly hit the driver.McQueen, who got around in a wheelchair after becoming paralyzed in a diving accident in the early 1990s, was deeply unhappy with the healthcare system, the police and the government, whom he blamed for not giving him the help he needed, which he detailed in his Facebook posts. So the police officers and 911 dispatchers will receive enhanced training on interacting with people in crisis, particularly those with mental illness

.

The Mental Health Police Advisory Committee was formed and is currently working on developing a “comprehensive, standardized police mental health training model for Alberta,” said provincial spokeswoman Lisa Shankaruk. That includes ensuring police officers’ mental health is a priority, developing a two-day training model where officers can receive training and resources from experts, and building relationships with partner agencies.  So the Police officers and 911 dispatchers will receive enhanced training on interacting with people in crisis, particularly those with mental illness .You are dumb if you think a two day course or a course will change any bad cop.. dismissal is rather needed.

CALGARY POLICE (4)

According to the police anyone who does not respect the Police is a mental case too.

.

CANMORE RCMP
.
It’s all very simple: obey the laws.  You broke the law, accept the consequences, and if that hypocritical, absurd, extreme statement was the reality, the truth, everyone would next be in jail, all of the politicians, civil and public servants, cops firstly..
.ALBERTA POLICE .
.
A Calgary police officer CPS constable Stephen Baker. who had a patrol rifle stolen from his car last year “will not be charged criminally in connection with the case,”  The officer went to a restaurant on Crowfoot Terrace N.W. and left the rifle in his personal vehicle inside a locked hard cover carrying case. Inside the case there were also two magazines containing 28 rounds each. He had been taking the rifle home  while off duty ,” The Calgary officer was in violation of the Police’s own rules…he had no business removing the gun from the station gets off scott free… The justice  finding reinforces the widely-held belief that police forces are FULL OF CORRUPTION and COVER UPS. but what else di did we expect? That’s it!….  The Police keep eroding the public confidence in police services with one law for the citizens , another for cops.  This case underscores the corruption of the Canadian legal system. Anyone else would have been criminally charged.

.

The Public remains generally skeptical about police investigating other police. Still an arm’s length investigation takes a step towards correcting the perception that there is a bias in favour of police in such investigations, all such investigations will have to be overseen by a civilian body, as recommended. We pay the police to handle all matters in a professional manner firstly.   And no more  . “No paid vacations”  for the cops awaiting trials..  All it takes for the bad guys to continue to do bad things is for the others wrongfully  to do nothing about it.

.
Canada wide the hiring of and the continued employment of bad police officers with records bearing patterns of even alleged violent misconduct, brutality, falsely signifies a high level of tolerance for corruption and brutality in the forces. These patterns tell you that you have bad orchards, not just a bad apple. It’s difficult to change institutions, as they are set in their bad ways. Police are still out there doing the same bad things and so are their supervisors, politicans,  attorneys and judges. “How has anything changed?” All government officials  do fail to deal with the much needed police reforms.

By Graeme MacKay, The Hamilton Spectator – Saturday, December 14, 2013Hamilton police arrest video goes viralA citizen’s video of Hamilton police subduing a screaming female suspect, while using minimal force, has gone lightly viral, garnering hundreds of thousands of views since being posted Wednesday.”Honest Cops” was posted on You Tube and then linked to a popular reposting site. YouTube video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f23CPcTdY2M&feature=youtu.beIt quickly sparked thousands of comments and was closing in on 400,000 views by Thursday night. In the nearly 8-minute-long video, shot outside The Source store on Mohawk Road near Upper Gage, Hamilton constables Mark Morelli and Chantelle Wilson are shown first subduing and then arresting an out-of-control suspect in what police say was “a domestic related” incident. The arrest took place Sunday. The woman can be heard screaming and seen thrashing about on the sidewalk in front of the store, ignoring Morelli and Wilson’s commands to stop resisting and to put her hands behind her back. Seemingly hysterical, she claims “I can’t breathe” repeatedly, and complains that her chin is cut and she’s lost a tooth. For several minutes the officers struggle to control and cuff her and take her to the waiting patrol car. They treat her sternly, but with evident restraint, employing force only to contain her, not hurt her. Eventually Wilson and Morelli succeed in placing the 21-year-old Hamilton resident in the waiting cruiser.During the arrest and afterwards Morelli, aware they are being videotaped, attempts to answer the complaints of the videographer and other bystanders, explaining what they are doing and what the law permits them to do.”You can’t do that … she’s only a weak girl” the videographer admonishes the officers repeatedly as they struggle to cuff the woman.”I’ll explain it to you in a second,” Morelli says, holding up one hand in a “wait there” gesture.True to his word when the woman is finally securely in the rear seat of the cruiser, he catches his wind and proceeds to explain the law and the use of force choices they made during the arrest.Hamilton media relations officer Debbie McGreal-Dinning would offer no information on the arrest, citing the service’s policies against commenting on ‘domestic incidents.’ (Source: Hamilton Spectator)

April 22, 2015

one of the most read topics here is the subject of bad police officers in Canada

All Police force members are to held accountable for their actions on the job. And  Members of the Police forces  should be held to a higher standard when it comes to the law because of the trust we put in them to enforce the law. They should get severely punished for their failure to do so, especially in circumstances where they abuse their position to try and cover up their very poor behaviour.  Abuse of authority and  Manipulation of the truth is well worthy of jail time for all bad police officers too.

.

A democratic, free nation never needs to fear any oppression, perversity  intimidation even  by police or the state.  Free speech is still a valid right for all too, not just for the bad persons, cops.. escalating violence by anyone leads to more violence.  The use of police force — against minorities and whites alike — is so poorly monitored that there is no precise accounting of how many citizens are abused, killed by officers, much less  the RELATED crucial details which tend to be  manifested only by the fact that citizens are posting unsettling cellphone Police videos and pictures of police brutality and because  of the many the records  are visible mostly from news media reports, some crucial details. Still details of  the race of officers and suspects, often are missing.  But still Canada has an ugly history of police abuses now too. The Police can do their part to repair their tarnished  images by firstly to acknowledging that  the person ‘s  rights, as an equal  the one right in front of them a person that the Police  force is supposed to  be  serving and protecting. even  to protect  people under arrest. And  people around the world are demanding more accountability from the  Governments , Civil and public servants, Police and all professionals too

.

J36 .

Few bad  police  officers are ever charged and found guilty.. Less than one percent..  Face it one of the most read topics here is the subject of bad police officers in Canada which clearly indicates the citizens concern on this topic too. . The Police in Canada as well do owe a “special duty” to the “justice system,”, “Citizens” and all members of the police owe a special duty to be faithful to the justice system and the  taxpayers .

.

“When the perpetrators of any crime are police officers sworn to uphold the law, the objective of their denunciation also has heightened significance. “Public confidence in the honesty of the police is fundamental to the integrity of the criminal justice system.”. .

. 2 .

All persons in leadership office do also now have to face higher penalties as an example standard now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most  people is that all persons  in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included are always to be exemplary in behavior, conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, and thus to do so they now are also to be exemplary judged, prosecuted for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks. . 281 . Unacceptably too many officers facing criminal or police act charges remain suspended for years, using loopholes and stall tactics to stay on the payroll as long as possible before resigning or retiring. Officers convicted criminally are still paid, unless they are incarcerated and can’t report for duty, because only a police act conviction can lead to termination. Many officers facing criminal or police act charges remain suspended for years, using loopholes and stall tactics to stay on the payroll as long as possible before resigning or retiring. Officers convicted criminally are still paid, unless they are incarcerated and can’t report for duty, because only a police act conviction can lead to termination. .

.

Yes now what also has already raised the ire of the Citizens is that taxpayer’s cover costs for officers who are charged, but not convicted, of a criminal or disciplinary offence especially at a time when there is some criticism about the ever-increasing police budget. It is absurd that police are suspended with full pay while the local authorities, the Justice Department investigate , the court as well, all which can take years even. Paid leaves are unacceptable. The manner in which the administrations, criminal justice system handles cases involving police officers is driven by anything but the principle hat we are all equal in the eyes of the law.. Yes when the Police or the senior public officials are under investigation by the police, they should, at the very least be suspended at least with half-pay until the investigation concludes, to maintain public confidence in the system. . .

Four years after one of Hamilton’s highest-ranking police officers was suspended with pay, he has collected more than half a million dollars in salary and is eligible to retire without ever answering to his police act charges. Due to legal delay tactics and a controversial ruling by an adjudicator, are paving the way for Inspector David Doel to stave off his hearing until he can retire . If that happens, he will get his full retirement package, keep the money he “earned” while suspended and the 13 charges he faces — including having pornography on his police computer, having sex on duty and using police equipment to spy on an alleged former lover — will vanish. http://www.thespec.com/news-story/4232642-handcuffed-how-accused-cops-avoid-a-date-with-discipline/

.

After almost $600,000 in salary paid to him during more than four years of suspension, disgraced Hamilton police inspector David Doel is … comfortably retired. http://www.thespec.com/news-story/4442557-clairmont-retirement-saves-disgraced-hamilton-cop-from-charges/

.

And what constitutes even for the RCMP “gross misconduct” and a firing offence? Sexual incidents involving members are not tolerated. Neither, for that matter, are most cases of drunk driving and assault. But criminal convictions do not always lead to dismissals, and internal RCMP sanctions, if they result at all, can be weak. Serious cases of RCMP misconduct are not unusual, particularly, it seems, in B.C., where court documents outline serious indiscretions and allegations. Reporters have also obtained lists of RCMP adjudication board decisions that describe shocking behaviour and admissions by officers on active duty http://www.bcpolicecomplaints.org/bc_police_complaint_commissioner_stan_lowe_rollie_woods_coverup_vancouver_vpd_taylor_robinson_brutality.html . .

The Police Managers, Politicians, Police Unions, the Police themselves are Facing Nation Wide Outrage , Public Anger  Canada wide   is an UNDENIABLE problem in how the police do their jobs. . So how do the administrators  deal with it? They threaten laws suits against those who try to complain..

.

All Police officers do not only need to maintain the respect and good will of citizens to do their job effectively, they also depend on that good will in their salary, pensions and benefits, in which they have been even far more successful than other public employees in recent years. . The undeniable present lack of trust of police by the minority community is also unacceptable. .

.

When Police enforcement goes bad, the police and the police unions historically close ranks around suspect officers Police PR and these Police cover-ups will not do. . It is important for the police unions, Police managers to become honestly self-critical about police conduct and to not blindly defend each and every egregious incident by officers.

.

And the criminal justice system should be doing what it was supposed to do, carry out real, valid   justice against the police now too. . These total ongoing increasing costs in defending bad officers which will also next result in fewer officers on the street . All Police criminal trials can be expensive. A multimillion-dollar legal bill for five former Toronto police drug squad officers is absurd. John Schertzer and four other officers were convicted in June of attempting to obstruct justice. Three of the officers were also convicted of perjury…

.

All police divisions need to hire, train, supervise, retain, to property train and/or supervise officers and to conduct a fair and impartial investigation even against police officers, . Any Police officers can even be charged for “unlawful detention,   battery, false arrest and unreasonable search and seizure,  the use of excessive and deadly unjustified, unreasonable, and illegal use of excessive force, including deadly force .

.

About the money. Looking more at concerns that many citizens have raised in recent years about police practices, many are about money and police departments’ roles in collecting it—whether to supplement their own or their municipality’s budget. Even there is a concern about the usage of radars, automated speed cameras and whether their use was being driven by public safety goals or a desire to maximize revenue and not  reducing  the deaths of citizens in car accidents. The re is  serious concerns about the immoral  behavior by the Police department and court system aimed at advancing revenue collection rather than public safety—and that fact that too many of those efforts were managed to ensure that the Police department was “bringing in revenue at the desired rate.” Creating a way for police activities to become partially self-funding, and setting them up in that way that as rather “criminals” seems to be politically attractive and has the approval  of the Police itself.

.

It is too common for small towns even like Canmore Alberta  to falsely raise revenues from traffic enforcement..

.

Watch out for the RCMP speed trap in Canmore , Alberta as you leave Banff park.. it generates the RCMP millions and millions of dollars per year.  ( Revenue generating ) “Speed limits in the mountain parks are set with an eye toward preventing collisions with wildlife.” ( and how often does that occur? once a year?).

.

Canmore  the home of the perverse Canmore Traffic court, and RCMP  traffic ticket revenue generation as I have already written about.

Police do love to lie and say that all accidents are mostly speed related, to justify their fat cow cash grabs, especially in Alberta and in Ontario now too.. they lump all of their homemade statistics as the accidents, deaths related all to speeding.. but not in reality to drunk driver, bad drivers, road rage, poor roads, bad snow cleaning..  This is also still simply not acceptable. There is a direct link between DRIVING and collisions. The MORE you drive, the more likely you are to be involved in a collision and the more likely you are to get seriously hurt . So the police will now give tickets to all drivers   https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/watch-out-for-the-money-making-speed-traps/ .

.

About the municipalities and their false collection of revenue through traffic fines these municipalities “victimize those whom they are designed to protect.” and these practices are “immoral.”  The additional taxation of the citizens through traffic enforcement is unacceptable even if it s falsely being carried out Canada wide. What’s the point of fining people for violating the rules of the road? Surely it is to ensure motorists are driving safely and not endangering others. That obvious point, it seems, is lost on Canada’s municipal and provincial governments, which are increasingly treating traffic tickets as just another source of revenue http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/national-post-view-raising-revenue-on-the-roads .

.

About 10 years ago, police charged an Alberta driver with careless driving for flashing his headlights at oncoming drivers to warn them of a speed trap ahead. The driver fought the ticket. At trial, the Crown argued that flashing high beams was dangerous because it might startle other drivers thereby distracting them and causing accidents. The judge wasn’t buying that. He ruled that drivers flashed their lights at one another for plenty of reasons, some of which enhanced safety — such as reminding another motorist to dim his brights. Besides, the judge added, the government’s principal purpose in setting up speed traps was to ensure drivers operated their vehicles at a safe rate of speed. It was not to raise money through fines. So since light-flashing motorists served the same purpose as government speed traps — keeping traffic within the speed limit — the government had no authority to end the practice of one driver giving another a heads-up. http://www.edmontonsun.com/2014/10/23/revenue-crucial-for-photo-radar-gunter

.

Speeding is not a major cause of  vehicular  accidents  but drunk driving rather is. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/?s=speeding

.

Winnipeg residents are up in arms because the city has been collecting record amounts of money from fines on drivers who break the rules, in part because it has refused to let drivers know what the rules actually are. Revenue received from photo-radar tickets increased 25 per cent between 2013 and 2014, generating $14.6 million last year — the equivalent of a $22-a-year tax for every resident. The city also took in $4.5 million from other types of traffic tickets. Part of the increase was due to the introduction of new rules lowering the speed limit in school zones and doubling fines in construction zones. http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/winnipeg-traffic-tickets

.

Photo radar’s real goal..  Are motorists school-zone scoff laws or haplessly feeding a cash cow? http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/opinion/analysis/photo-radars-real-goal-299297351.html . .

Even the RCMP are known to be unprofessional as well as  cost ineffective.. even alcoholics and so are many other police forces in Canada now too. I have dealt with the RCMP 6 times and rigthfully have no respect left  for the incompetent,  lying , pretentious RCMP. In fact I  had been abused  by the RCMP in Canmore Alberta  twice and next I saw firsthand how the RCMP  lied, covered up their own.. Say no to an RCMP police State  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2011/11/10/rcmp-managers-abuse-their-employees-and-get-a-ridiculous-punishment-for-it-next-too/ .

.

The per versed  municipal courts too often do lie at the heart of this corrupted police, justice system now too.. Their  criminals out of citizens who want to abide by law and then they the citizens  can’t get jobs that would bring in taxes clearly has the devil’s support. . These municipal officials need to be charged with corruption and racketeering. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/07/15/they-often-do-steal-the-designated-monies/ .

.

While the goal of having every call for Police service fast and effectively, actively engaging diverse communities, preparing for security threats like terrorism, and responding to societal problems as varied as drug abuse, mental illness, youth violence and human trafficking, having discretionary resources to allow the police flexibility in their efforts to do all those different tasks seems to be a viable goal, the devil is always in the false diversions, Promotions and empire building. These are certainly competing goals here. If the Police Management, officers start getting overly rewarded for how much revenue they bring in, the legitimate  concern becomes whether their law enforcement action will become driven more by the goal of revenue and less by the goal of public safety, service as is too often the case. They should not be forced to think more like a sales person than a public servant. . It shouldn’t be a surprise that the prospect of police departments generating revenue would seem like a great idea to municipal leaders and to the police leadership. As the ability to achieve promotional goals is significantly driven by having the monetary resources available to do so.

.

During the financial crisis, Provincial, federal and local budgets are hit hard. The pain of tight budgets has been felt across the board in many jurisdictions and the resources available to police departments fell, requiring changes like service and staff cuts.”

.

Yes the citizens rightfully do the government, police, courts, to be effective at minimal cost, thereby limiting the burden of taxes on the public. But Citizens “wouldn’t expect other public mission agencies—the public health department, for example—to become profit centers, and we shouldn’t expect that from law enforcement.” . A Perceptions of police officers as merely collection agents rather than public protectors cannot help but undermine that legitimacy and trust. Too many citizens have lost confidence in the police amd the justice systems. . . Amongst the major Citizens concerns are all of the related taxpayer’s is the high legal costs of the lawyers with their high lawyer. rates for a start , example of $470 per hour and hourly rates of $275 for a lawyer with six years experience, $260 for a first-year lawyer, $230 for an articling student and $235 for a law clerk should make us more costs conscious as well . Among the absurd legal fees approved this year was a bill of $280,000 for the successful defence in provincial court of a constable charged with assault bodily harm during the arrest of a suspected drug dealer. “The fees were substantial due to the protracted period of time it took to conclude the matter,” . And even if acquitted of criminal charges, all charged police officers accused of wrongdoing should be the focus of a coroner’s inquiry, a civil suit or a complaint to a civilian review agency. . see also https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2012/01/21/so-who-realy-protects-the-canadian-citizens-from-the-too-often-bad-cops-bad-rcmp/ .

.

Needless to say police resources are often misused where even the mayors do instruct the police to find out all they can about their opposition members too.  ” and it all is still unacceptable! Free speech is a right for bullies, crooks, abusers only it still seems in Canada now. Police already have arrested me for complaining about the Calgary Police in the Calgary Police chief office even.. the charge was talking out loud in a public place.. Many people are shocked to discover free speech is not being allowed too often in many places in Canada,  on the net, in churches, letters to governments, to the news editors too… the police have visited me or objected now at least 7 times in response to my writings.. still decades later I  am still rightfully openly complaining about the much too many bad police supervisors and the too many bad acts of the so called professionals, the police included. The abuse of the citizens is not acceptable anywhere. . .

THERE ARE MUCH TOO MANY BAD COPS IN CANADA -FIRE THEM ALL NOW

.

No cop is above the law. Too bad for them they are paid to work still too.

.

Police still fail to catch most of the real criminals including the car thieves, and the Fraud perpetrated over the Internet which still is a growing citizen concern in Canada and throughout the world. The police always claim they lack resources, they will never have enough resources if they reuse to do a decent days work for their pay. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/the-police-cannot-get-the-crimminals/  .

.

“A new Alberta police database will track citizen’s every interaction with police, and it can be used without a warrant or even a supervisor’s permission”.. they had an old system already do doing this too..   the police falsely too often do not observe the laws..   . The Alberta government has passed new legislation designed to reduce the number of  complaints against police officers. The changes, which include new restrictions on who can launch a complaint, more powers to dismiss frivolous complaints and provisions to shorten appeals, are Unacceptable. .

.

Alberta is clearly another  police state.. where I got arrested for failing to pay a speeding ticket, 3 tickets from the same cop in Alberta even, and twice on the same spot in Canmore, Alberta by the RCMP, I next got no tickets for decades in Quebec and elsewhere. Ironically the same Conservatives who preach the letter of the law approach on others, tend not to practise it too often themselves, tend to feel falsely they are above the law.. the law of personal accountability.  I even got arrested in the Calgary Chief of police office for talking too loud, I had said you cops are crooked  while trying to file my rightful   police complaint. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/03/24/the-police-cannot-get-the-crimminals/
.

LAZY, INDIFFERENT, IMMORAL, BAD POLICE, BAD JUSTICE MINSTERS, BAD SOLICITOR GENERALS  is not a new aspect in Ottawa, Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, BC,  and in the rest of Canada.  A useless , no good, bad Conservative politician  is not any better for any of us over a useless , no good, bad Liberal  politician in Canada now too.
.

SO NEVER  EXPECT A FULL HONEST INVESTIGATION WHEN CLEARY THE RESULTS WILL SHOW BAD COPS, BAD ATTORNEY GENERALS, BAD MINISTERS WHO HAVE NOT BEING DOING A GOOD JOB. ALL UNACCEPTABLE.  NOW WHY IS IT BAD PEOPLE DO NOT CHANGE NEXT BESIDE THE FACT THEY LIKE TO DO BAD THINGS, IT IS ALSO CAUSE THEY FALSELY  REFUSE TO ADMIT THE THINGS THEY DO ARE BAD.

.

You know I get a kick out of those lying spin  doctors,  police officers, bad cops, union representatives, police lovers, bad PERSONS   who STILL DO say that ALL OF  bad people, INCLUDING the ALCOHOLICS, the bad cops and their bad supervisors too they  can always be rehabilitated, retrained.. and how many millions of them now has this happened to them.. almost none.. a bad apple tends to get worse..
.
NOW WHY IS IT BAD PEOPLE DO NOT CHANGE NEXT BESIDE THE FACT THEY LIKE TO DO BAD THINGS, IT IS ALSO CAUSE THEY FALSELY  REFUSE TO ADMIT THE THINGS THEY DO ARE BAD.
.

The RCMP maximum 10 days punishment is always absurd, permanent dismissal is what is always needed with the bad cops and their clearly bad superiors who had managed and hired them too.. Bad solicitor generals and bad Justice Ministers, bad Premiers, bad Prime Ministers as well should all be fired ASAP.  The Canadian Justice is too often an empty one. The establishment cover ups for it’s own and prevails.   Imagine that we have liars for justice Ministers and cops too.

https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/05/25/canadas-two-tiered-justice-system-opposed/

.

DON’T BE STUPID AND BELIEVE ALL THE LYING SPINS AS TO WHY IT TAKES SO LONG TO INVESTIGATE THE BAD COPS.. I have had many experiences in laying simple complaints against bad cops that never got anywhere cause the investigators were clearly pretenders.. in Contrast the investigations of all citizens clearly would not take so long..
 .
Decades and decades later the police are still  covering up for their own again and again but the police are not the only bad professionals who do this these days as well, so do the Hospitals, doctors, nurses, civil and public servants, governments… When it comes to dealing with the rightful needs, complaints of the ordinary citizens our Canadian civil and public servants, politicians and their representatives too, and most church pastors now too, they are still mostly unacceptable liars and  PRETENDERS, LAZY, GOOD FOR NOTHING PERSONS,  and that has been mostly my undeniable experiences the last 4 decades now too..  How about having now some real professionalism.
.

They the police are an essential part of our community for sure, but they all also do need to be fiscally responsible . . We do till do need to Manage EVEN the RCMP more effectively. There are about 19,200 regular members and another 3,760 civilians in the RCMP. RCMP racks up $800M in overtime in 5 years The total does not include extra duty pay for standby or operational readiness. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/12/04/rcmp-overtime-costs-harris.html

. .

Now “it’s also true that the police costs in general, and the related police salaries in particular, are now out of control. My very contacts with the police for decades have also left me seriously wondering what these people do. As far as I am concerned they are all already overpaid. . Most police officers are very well compensated overall, with too many making well over $100K per year, and they still do get a very generous pensions and many paid days off. Right now they are also paying retired officers, who are collecting their full pensions, $75 an hour to walk around the airport and babysit crime scenes. That’s all thus the equivalent of $150K per year. . The total spending on police services nationally has doubled since 1997, is reaching $12-billion. While the average Canadian income has grown by 11 per cent over the past decade, the average police salary has grown by 40 per cent. . The cost of Policing is doing to municipal budgets what health care is doing to provincial budgets: threatening to consume them.” Both systems do need better cost control management too..

.

Canada’s Police Among the Best Paid in the World. While the volume and severity of crime in Canada have been steadily declining for the last decade, police strength has gone in the other direction. There are now 200 officers for every 100,000 people – an increase of 9 per cent since 2001, though homicides rates are at their lowest in more than 30 years. Some high-crime cities, such as Regina and Winnipeg, have high police strength, but so, too, do cities such as Toronto and Montreal, which rank low on the crime-severity index. The number of Criminal Code incidents per officer has declined steadily since peaking 20 years ago . Unlike other public-sector employees, many municipal police forces continue to receive annual raises that outpace inflation. From 2009 to 2011, expenditures on police salaries and benefits increased by 5 per cent across the country, while other police operating expenditures fell 4 per cent, Statistics Canada reports.

.

A first-class officer in Canada’s big cities now earns $80,000-$90,000 a year on average – before overtime and benefits. That makes them among the most generously compensated police in the world. During this year of hard-pressed public finances, the Toronto Police Association negotiated an 11.5-per-cent pay increase over the next four years for its members. Officers get 18 annual days of sick leave, and can bank unused leave, half of which can then be paid out in salary. They can retire at 50, with full pensions, after 30 years of service. http://terrywhitehead.ca/canadas-police-among-the-best-paid-in-the-world/

 .

The cost of policing cannot continue to rise indefinitely in Canada, or cities will end up bankrupt. Pools, camps, parks and libraries will have to close. There are other municipalities with the largest police officers per 100,000 population and they have still some of the worse crime statistics. Adding more police officers especially bad ones does not necessarily guarantee that we yield better results. .

,

LAZY, INDIFFERENT, IMMORAL, BAD POLICE, BAD JUSTICE MINSTERS, BAD SOLICITOR GENERALS  is not a new aspect in Ottawa, Ontario and in the rest of Canada. SO NEVER  EXPECT A FULL HONEST INVESTIGATION WHEN CLEARY THE RESULTS WILL SHOW BAD COPS, BAD ATTORNEY GENERALS, BAD MINISTERS WHO HAVE NOT BEING DOING A GOOD JOB. ALL UNACCEPTABLE.

.

The sad truth about how many  Canadian cops get convicted for on-duty shootings? None.. says it all too..

Time for us all to fight to lower police costs Canada wide, RCMP included

police-start
Police  Managers, Politicians,  Police  Unions, the Police themselves are  Facing  Nation Wide Outrage , Public Anger, as  Canada wide there is an UNDENIABLE  problem in how the police do their jobs. Police officers do not only need to maintain the respect and good will of citizens to do their job effectively, they also depend on that good will in political battles over salary, pensions and benefits, in which they have been far more successful than other public employees in recent years.  The lack of trust of police by the minority community is also unacceptable.  When Police enforcement goes bad, the police and the police unions historically close ranks around suspect officers   Police PR and Police cover-ups will not do.  It is important for the police unions,  Police managers  to become honestly self-critical about police conduct and to not blindly defend each and every egregious incident by officers. And the criminal justice system should be doing what it was supposed to do,  carry out real, valid police justice.

.
It is an undeniable fact that the New Conservatives had said elect us and we will next show you an honest government, accountable, transparent as well but as we all tend to know next that was a big lie now too.. They clearly are not part of the  solutions to the much too many corruptions ongoing in Canada but clearly rather a part of the problem in that they and the RCMP for sure have failed to properly address the much too many  corruptions.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2013/03/08/most-politicians-civil-and-public-servants-think-the-rules-dont-apply-to-them/
.
Yes, we all can easily know that corruption has even plagued Quebec ( not just Ontario too)  at multi levels in City Halls. Hospitals, etc., from the top down to the bottom and for a very long time over 50 years.. Obviously nothing has changed.. because the watchdogs did nothing good about it.. the police, RCMP included also were, are themselves as bad as ever here.. the fiascos go on and on.. Money generating Speeding and parking tickets were their main Police occupations it seems.   It is sad that Job preservation was too often the false reason why most of the ostrich  employees also had went along with the vast corruptions instead of opposing it.. all it took for evil to triumph was for the good people to do nothing about it.

” Turns out that every aspect of Quebec public service is completely corrupt. Unfortunately, it is not just the city of Montreal that needs more investigation, it is:

– the SQ for giving themselves illegal bonuses and shutting down investigations that touch the “gouvernement national”.

– The MUC police force, and their contracts between Yvan Delorme and BCIA

– Union Montreal. It appears that at their fundraisers, they sometimes keep part or all of the money.

– We can look forward to “the corruption float” this Sunday which will be led by Montreal’s new mayor mayor Michael “I swear I am not under investigation” Applebaum.

PS: Merci to the SQ for tipping off the mayor about current UPAQ investigations.  Obviously nothing has changed..”

.
“Spending on policing has increased steadily while the volume and severity of reported crime have both been on the decline” even or has the police falsely rather discouraged the reporting of the crimes firstly?
.
Two police officers have been judged to be in breach of 4 code of ethics clearly  criminal charges. Why were their names not released?  and what if  when the same  police officers punch  someone it an ethics violation but if a citizen does  do the same, its an Assault conviction with a criminal record?  http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2013/02/13/montreal-racial-profile-farid-charles.html

OTTAWA — A new report by a respected international human rights watchdog has accused RCMP officers of abusing aboriginal women and girls in northern British Columbia.  http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/scathing-report-accuses-b-c-mounties-of-raping-abusing-aboriginal-girls-1.1154727

Human rights group says RCMP, native relationship ‘dysfunctional’ -A number of women interviewed by Human Rights Watch researchers alleged that RCMP officers used excessive force in arresting them, mistreated them while they were in custody and, in some cases, physically or sexually assaulted them. Many of the aboriginal women he spoke with did not trust police and felt little confidence that any complaints would be addressed. He said he was surprised to find that the fear of police expressed by some of the women was comparable with what he has seen in post-conflict situations in countries such as Iraq and Libya. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/human-rights-group-says-rcmp-native-relationship-dysfunctional/article8572404/

RCMP has a bullying problem, watchdog says. Commission chairman Ian McPhail said about 90 per cent of the complaints involved bullying. Only four per cent of the complaints dealt with sexual harassment, A national police force where abuse of authority is possibly a systemic problem means a really bad Police force!  and  the simple perception of a continual pattern of poor treatment of employees is enough to rattle all public confidence in   RCMP and severely already tarnished the force’s reputation. Instead of them all talking about the problems, do something How about some real solutions to problems within the RCMP?  Real Accountability instead of cover-ups and transfers, real punishments now too, Punishments that fit the crime  plus no more two or three year plus investigations into wrong-doing.  about the RCMP.  http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2013/02/14/rcmp-harassment-report-ian-mcphail.html

it’s time the RCMP looked at the questionable spending practices – their own and the others   http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2013/02/13/ndp_seeks_rcmp_probe_into_senate_expenses_controversy.html …

.
The Public Safety Minister Mr. Vic Toews gave a speech the last month in which he questioned the spiralling costs of policing. Most policemen and their managers  are still really cost ineffective It is really Time to fight to lower police costs Canada wide, the RCMP included even by an clearly, enforced effective cost control framework ensures that no one rewards themselves at public expense,  that  ensures that the public is getting the most for its money, ensures  that all expense and travel claims are appropriate and handled with a high level of transparency and accountability.  And here too an example needs to be made of all those who abuse the expense account or sign off on illegitimate expenses by even make such acts criminal plus having the guilty individual return the stolen money. Thousands or millions of dollars abused are an enormous amount of money, and to not have adequate, stringent cost controls in place by now  is an unacceptable  failure of any  leadership on all the part of the governments , ministers, mayors, administrators .
.
By the way the people who make false expense statements are also guilty now of tax evasion
Follow the money trail, the oldest rule of good journalism and why is that so? as the love of money is the root of ell evil still..  He or she who cannot be trusted to handle money cannot be trusted to handle anything else now too.People in leadership office do have to face higher penalties as an example now too. It is clearly established, accepted fact by most people that those in leadership civil and public servants cops, teachers, ministers, politicians included  are always to be exemplary in behavior,  conduct and they do need to maintain their high standards even out of their working hours, thus to do so they are also to be exemplary  judged, prosecuted  for their own wrong doings with a higher standard over those of us ordinary folks.
.
Now “it’s true that police costs in general, and police salaries in particular, are out of control. Total spending on police services nationally has doubled since 1997, reaching $12-billion. While the average Canadian income has grown by 11 per cent over the past decade, the average police salary has grown by 40 per cent. .

The cost of policing cannot continue to rise indefinitely in Canada, or cities will end up bankrupt. Pools, camps, parks and libraries will have to close. Police in England and several U.S. cities have already undertaken drastic and innovative reforms to transform the delivery of law enforcement for a modern era  This has not yet happened in Canada. But there is no time to waste. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/commentary/editorials/cost-of-policing-in-canada-cannot-continue-to-rise/article7437935/

We all can readily know that the RCMP, Police do not like us to use our right of free speech

Over 1/3 of the RCMP officers IT SEEMS  still cannot be trusted to be honest, tell the truth, respect the laws now.. that is really unacceptable..   http://www.globalnews.ca/one-third+of+the+rcmps+use-of-force+incidents+not+being+reported+documents+show/6442763926/story.html

.

THE FACT THAT no one within the RCMP had a comprehensive list of all of the Mounties who’d been disciplined, became undeniably  after CBC News asked for basic data between 2005 and 2008 that included offences and findings by internal adjudications boards. The CBC News submitted the request in November 2008. It was delivered four years later in November 2012. An officer who handled the file offered an embarrassed apology, and explained the delay was due to the list having to be created from scratch. The head of the RCMP admitted that Canada’s national police force neglected to keep tabs on hundreds of cases of serious misconduct committed by Mounties across the country for years. Commissioner Bob Paulson acknowledged that an access to information request by CBC News inadvertently revealed that not even senior leaders in the RCMP could say with confidence whether incidents of misconduct that include assaults, impaired driving and fraud were a problem in the force. BAD BAD BAD RCMP failed to track internal misconduct for years UNACCEPPTABLE http://cbc.sh/OnmSsZP

.

A rare criminal libel investigation was launched by the RCMP against a New Westminster resident this summer relate to alleged defamatory statements made online against a clearly bad, immoral RCMP officer mired in a scandal over sexually explicit photos and other wrong doings. The B.C. Civil Liberties Association,   together with media outlets is rightfully questioning why a criminal investigation was needed when defamation issues are normally handled through civil channels. Kinda of excess.. police brutality rather..  http://www.canada.com/news/Criminal+libel+case+linked+comments+made+against+Mounties+erotic+website/7285169/story.html

.

Have you also not noticed that the bad cops and bad politicians they tend to behave like those world wide terrorists who abuse and deny others their right of Free speech, like the Jews in Israel and the Muslims, the fundamentalists, cause they are all alike, demonic..

.

No one is above the law.. starting with the cops now too… they too are too often lazy, buck passers even..  and their self regulation is still mostly masturbation only.. I have yet to see one of my complaints about bad cops properly dealt with by anyone now too..

.

The mostly self serving, money hungry police forces in Canada, for they are not serving the public’s best interest for sure , the politcal watchdogs rather, they have  seem to often to have hired thugs, alcoholics, incompetents, even for their managers and so they too often tend to do a real bad job, even  in my experiences as well, and also yes  they realy are also too often cost ineffective as well as we saw in their operation of the gun registry even, and they are too often discriminatory, even racists, and if you make such negative remarks openly to them the police will tend next to try to intimidate you by trying to force you to shut up, or threatening to close your mouth for you, or threatening to lay a criminal charge against you, or by the unlawful use of their authority. I know this firsthand for they had visited my home least 6 times in objection to my public computer posts, they do not have to visit my home as all I write about them is openly found in federal and provincial cabinet minster’s offices, on the net, and in the Canadian news media departments.. and when they first do say they want to talk to me I openly do tell them I will insist that the news media be present at any and all such discussions, and they readily leave me alone. Yes I am no fan of even one abusive cop and I do not accept any of their abuses rightfully quietly.

.

In regard to the   mostly self serving, money hungry police forces in Canada, this is not an isolated fact.. the police are very materialistic in my own direct conversation with them now too.. and seek often means to get rich, legal or otherwise..  and we hear many examples of this on the news.. The “Niagara Regional Police are investigating a few of their own officers for smuggling cheese into Canada.. The alleged scam involves jamming cases of “brick” cheese — used as a common pizza topping — into their vehicles to smuggle across the border. With U.S. cheese being as little as a third the price it is in Canada, drivers are making $1,000 to $2,000 a trip, according to numerous sources…  Canada Border Services Agency officials say anyone — officer or civilian — caught smuggling large shipments of cheese into Canada would be in violation of the Customs Act for failing to declare, and pay duties on, the controlled goods…   As well, CBSA says it would be a violation for failing to have proper permits and licences from both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade… The accused officers either face police act charges (internal discipline) for either discreditable conduct or neglect of duty or Criminal Code charges of breach of trust if any were found to have intentionally plotted to avoid customs and duties ….   charges are expected soon against a few officers who are alleged to have been involved in the movement of caseloads of cheese from the U.S. to sell to Canadian pizzerias and restaurants…  The cheese-smuggling investigation stems from information gathered from a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) arrest in April of Niagara Regional Police Service Const. Geoffrey Purdie in Buffalo on charges of conspiracy to smuggle more than half a million dollars in anabolic steroids and other drugs into Canada. Jeff McGuire, Niagara’s new police chief, has  only confirmed the suspension of Const. Purdie due to allegations of drug smuggling. “He’s been suspended with pay, and our professional standards [group] … are conducting an investigation … but we first have to allow the American investigation to continue and be completed,” McGuire also confirmed the suspension of an officer from Purdie’s Fort Erie detachment following Purdie’s arrest, but he would not discuss why.     http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2012/09/21/niagara-police-cheese-smuggling-allegations.html

A southern Ontario police force has charged one current and one former officer in a “large-scale” scheme to smuggle cheese and other food items into Canada. Niagara Regional Police say cases of cheese and other foods were purchased in the U.S. and smuggled into Canada, without declaring the items or paying duty. The items were then prepared for distribution to restaurants in southern Ontario. Police say the investigation revealed over $200,000 worth of cheese and other products were purchased and distributed for an estimated profit of more than $165,000. Niagara police Const. Scott Heron, 39, faces charges that include conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, false or deceptive statements, and acquiring or disposing of illegally imported goods.Police say Casey Langelaan, 48, who was a police officer at the time of the alleged offences, faces counts that include conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and various Customs Act charges including smuggling.A third man, Bernie Pollino, 44, faces similar charges to Heron and Langelaan. All three suspects are from Fort Erie, Ont. Niagara chief Jeffrey McGuire suspended Heron and Langelaan from duty on July 26 in accordance with the Police Services Act.

” ‘There are still good RCMP officers around”? You are kidding right, Not in the RCMP-or haven’t you noticed the killings, the assaults, the extortions, and the sexual misconducts? We need to replace this criminal gang posing as police officers with honest, professional, accountable to the law, and to the communities they work in, police.”

“ how about the Police Officers that find themselves on the wrong side of the law be asked …”What did you think would happen when you broke the law?” and pay for your own defense attorney….how about accountability? how about being held to a higher standard? how about doing your friggin job? Remember the oath to uphold the laws of this country? Pay for it themselves…period “

“if the average Canadian has to pay for his / her legal defense whether they are guilty or not so should the RCMP. they are not above the law and if they are charged with an offense they should have to be out of pocket for any costs and not the taxpayer because they make a better than average wage. i don’t know any employer who would step up and say “i understand you have been charged with assault, how about the company pays for all of your legal fees and we get you a nice easy desk job at the same rate of pay until it’s over?”. not likely and an every day guy would be out the door.”

“If those RCMP had to pay their own legal costs they would become much more accountable. Why should the public defend criminals and thugs because they carry a gun ????”

“They do the crime and we pay there dime. How the hell did Canadian law come up with that deal for any cop of any branch.”

“ My,my. The RCMP officers court cases are paid for by the government, which in turn you are saying the Canadian tax payer is paying for the defense of officers being charged with criminal offences. I think I spent my life in the wrong profession. What else is being paid for? “

“ I was recently in court filing a 810 application against the RCMP which by they way has many many road blocks. I spoke for an hour about activities unbecoming a police officer. The Judge ruled I did not show enough fear. hmmm” Their Respect has to be earned firstly.

“ The RCMP have conducted themselves as a gang for a long time now. We need to replace the RCMP with honest, professional, accountable to the law, and to the community they work in, police officers. We also need to make sure that no one who has ever worked for the RCMP can ever work again in anything related to law enforcement, or with vulnerable populations. We just can’t these RCMP officers infecting Canada’s good police departments. The sooner we disband and replace them, the better for everyone.”

All “Just another H U G E reason that those useless, overpaid killers should be disbanded.”

“Tax dollars should not fund any who find themselves on the ‘other end’ of the justice system if they can afford a lawyer. Legal aid should be there for those in need though.”

“The RCMP needs to be shut down permanently now. The RCMP is a danger to the public. The disgraceful, disgusting RCMP are not going to stop abusing members of the general public until they are stopped. This poor individual was fully restrained with a whole bunch of thugs (the revolting RCMP) ganging up on the helpless victim. This morally reprehensible behaviour is the mark of vicious cowards. As for their (the RCMP’s) so called explanation: what a lie! To make matters even worse the abuse victim can’t even hear properly.  This is just another shining moment for the vile, evil RCMP. Using the avenues available under the law get rid of the terrible RCMP and make sure no one who has ever worked for this horrible organization of police officers is allowed to work in policing again.”

Now throughout the province of Ontario, there were 95 pedestrians killed in 2010, a non existent amount compared to how many persons were actually killed or hurt by drunk drivers, so the police and the judge wants the whole province to slow down while driving, and what they also next likley will want to ban all vehicles on the road too ? all without still dealing more effectively, seriously  with the much too many  drunk and impaired drivers, who cause most of the traffic accidents, and  and fail still to deal with the much too many even cops who drive home drunk from the police taverns or the ones who are tigger happy.

Finally Police probe McGill hospital contract

.

.
Not much of a surprise? The tip of the iceberg is being revealed only as  the overall depth of corruption will take much more time apparently to uncover, corruptions that likley permeates the whole project. Birds of feathers tend to flock together. And no one should tell us that  these initial suspected persons, now  were even  just isolated individuals acting on their own without the vast help and knowledge of any others now too. Higher education never insures one’s good moral standings.  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2011/10/26/mcgill-administrators-likley-run-their-hospitals-the-same-way/
.
Quebec’s police task force on corruption is probing the billion-dollar contract for McGill Montreal mega-hospital awarded to a consortium led by Montreal engineering giant SNC Lavalin Group Inc. SNC-led consortium had won the McGill University Health Centre contract. Police raid the McGill University Health Centre . Up until six months ago, the hospital project had been overseen by Riadh Ben Aissa, a former head of SNC’s construction division, and also a central figure in an ongoing scandal. One of SNC’s original subcontractors in the project was a company controlled by construction magnate Antonio (Tony) Accurso – a controversial figure who now is also facing fraud and corruption charges. The hospital deal was put together under the watch of the previous chief executive of the health centre, Arthur Porter who left his own job under a cloud late last year. Arthur Porter had been appointed chair of the federal government’s security-intelligence watchdog agency, when his African business dealings with an arms dealer were revealed. Dr. Porter stepped down from both jobs. The Quebec government has earmarked $2.35-billion for an effort to reconstruct Montreal hospitals, the lion’s share going to the McGill University Health Centre campus. “Quebec’s anti-corruption unit has put several high-profile figures in its crosshairs since being established last year. It has arrested construction magnates such as Mr. Accurso and Paolo Catania, as well as Frank Zampino, a former city councillor who was the right-hand man of Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay.”  http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/police-probe-mcgill-hospital-contract-awarded-to-snc-lavalin/article4551179/
.

MONTREAL – A second investigation has been launched stemming from the Police raids at the MUHC’s headquarters. According to a search warrant filed with the Quebec  courts, there are allegations  that former MUHC Director Stella Lopreste may have defrauded the McGill  University Health Centre out of as much as $1.6 million over 10 years. It is alleged that the money was used for the purchase of personal  items. Lopreste left the MUHC in 2011. http://montreal.ctvnews.ca/sq-conducting-second-muhc-investigation-1.967628

.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — For more than a year, reporters have tried without success to reach Arthur Porter, a mysterious figure who occupied important, sensitive positions in Canada before controversies erupted and forced his resignations. He left the country, leaving serious questions and allegations unanswered. An oncologist by trade, Dr. Porter was appointed by Stephen Harper’s government in 2010 to chair Canada’s Security and Intelligence Review Committee, which oversees the national spy agency, CSIS. He was also in charge of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), one of the country’s largest public health agencies where, it was recently disclosed, a number of financial irregularities occurred during Dr. Porter’s leadership. This week, the National Post found Dr. Porter working inside a private cancer clinic that he owns and operates in this sunny Caribbean city. Would Dr. Porter, 56, ever return to Canada? “What for?” he replied curtly. “It’s a question that I don’t choose to answer at this time.”  http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/01/10/the-elusive-arthur-porter-scandal-plagued-former-spy-watchdog-found-ailing-in-nassau/

.

Dr Arthur Porter  it seems to gain sympathy has indicated recently  he has cancer and is being treated for it in his own hospital.. well I do not believe him.. he has clearly been a con man and a liar much too long time.

“Executives at engineering giant SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., won’t comment on allegation $22.5M payment linked to MUHC super hospital project. Leslie Quinton, an SNC-Lavalin spokesperson, was quoted in the La Presse  as presently not wishing to confirm or deny that $22.5 million of the questionable payments that surfaced earlier this year involved the super hospital contract.” The persons at the receiving end of the bribe as well is yet to be fully confirmed..

Here is what I have found interesting.. Now for decades I too have known that association with money tends to tempt and to corrupt people, the Judas syndrome, and follow the money trail, the oldest rule of Journalism.. and I have even decades ago  written that it is still  an understated fact that the corruption most often exists firstly  in the purchasing, procurements departments even  in Corporations, Governments, Hospitals, Public and Civil Services and yet  no many persons has been  arrested, exposed for that. until recently in Quebec, at least.  Now as per  the Major Montreal Hospitals  and  the City of Montreal I too do still just cannot believe that less than a handful of civil and public servants   were , crooked in the procurement, tender departments now even for decades.. all an unbelievable unblemished record.. and why was that now realy?
.

Kuwait deal uses MUHC doctors and nurses  A private Montreal company with close ties to the McGill University Health Centre signed a five-year, $86-million hospital-services agreement with the government of Kuwait in 2010, a deal that makes regular use of MUHC doctors and nurses.. Under the deal, the MUHC is to be paid by the private company, Montreal Medical  International Inc. (MMI). However, an accounting of those funds has never  appeared on any MUHC annual reports or other public document. The Régie de l’assurance-maladie du Québec is investigating the business model  of Medical Second Opinion to determine if it confirms with the Quebec medicare  law, as MUHC doctors are providing therapeutic advice to patients who have  private insurance.

.

He claims he can be a competent premier but  Dr. Porter’s relationship with Dr. P. Couillard, who was Quebec’s health minister  and now the Premier of Quebec too, at the time, appears to be far more extensive than previously thought.  Couillard, claims he did not know that his long time business partner was a crook must have really really bad jugdement  or is lying.  Not only did Couillard and Porter go on fishing trips when Porter served as chief executive officer of the MUHC, he says, but Porter claims that Couillard phoned him every day for political advice.  http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Arthur+Porter+dishes+dirt+Harper+Couillard/10188705/story.html

but the same person Dr Couillard could not spot a crook even as he worked with him for years..  but I can work with a person one day and likely tell you if he is a crook, immoral or not..  and that is why I tend to spell Liberals as Lieberals..  https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2014/09/18/unbeliveable-disgusting-what-a-clai/

PS The penalty for while collar crimes still tends to be ludicrous.. A judge has sentenced a bookkeeper to two years in prison for defrauding a family-run Toronto business of $653,000. Christine Trotter started crying Tuesday when Justice John McMahon told her he could not agree to the conditional sentence recommended by her lawyer after she pleaded guilty to one count of fraud over $5,000. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/crime/article/1261898–bookkeeper-jailed-2-years-for-defrauding-toronto-firm  just 2 years?

Seriously I would now still investigate all purchases made at the McGill University Health Centres Hospitals..

.
Now how about my complaints  also about the too often perverse Quebec and Hopsital Ombudsmen, Hopsital administrators who falsely  tend to turn their blind eyes to the inadeqaucies, wrong doings of their assciates and subordinates  coming along too? https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2011/08/16/the-dishonest-pretentious-quebec-hospital-ombudsmen-health-ministers/
.
Quebec is also known to be too soft on crimes https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2012/09/09/the-federal-and-the-quebec-governments-are-undeniably-soft-on-crime-social-welfare-abusers-tax-evaders-new-arrivals/

NO MORE police surveillance powers

The Harper government intends to make it easier for police to monitor Canadians’ Internet and smartphone activity – but Canada’s privacy commissioner Jennifer Stoddart says she has “deep concerns” about potential legislation that would boost police surveillance powers and access to private information. Stoddart expressed particular concerns about a proposal in the previous legislation that would have required internet service providers to give subscriber data to police and national security agencies without a warrant, including names, unlisted phone numbers and IP addresses. “Canadian authorities have yet to provide the public with evidence to suggest that CSIS or Canadian police cannot perform their duties under the current regime,” she wrote.

In addition to the provision allowing police to obtain internet subscriber information without a warrant, the previous lawful access bills also would have:

-Forced internet providers and other makers of technology to provide a “back door” to make communications accessible to police.

-Allowed police to get warrants to obtain information transmitted over the internet and data related to its transmission, including locations of individuals and transactions.

-Allowed courts to compel other parties to preserve electronic evidence.

Don’t get the wrong idea we can trust the police in Canada, or trust the police too often masturbating reviews of wrong doings by the police which mostly still tends to find the cops innocent of any wrong doings. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/01/28/dirty-rcmp-lays-dirty-again/

SQ wraps probe into bystander police shooting – Quebec provincial police have completed their probe of a Montreal police shooting that left two people dead last June, including an innocent bystander. In a case that made national headlines and prompted an angry anti-police march in Montreal, local officers shot a homeless man during a public disturbance and their gunfire also struck a man who was arriving for work at a nearby hospital. Provincial police said in a statement released Wednesday that the file has been handed over to Quebec’s director of criminal prosecutions. It will be up to that office to determine whether charges are laid against the police officers.

The June 7 shooting was one of a number of serious incidents involving police last summer, and reignited the debate surrounding how those incidents are investigated in Quebec. Currently, when members of a police force kill or injure citizens, another force takes over the investigation. In the days and weeks following the deaths opponents of that system renewed their calls for the creation of a civilian review board to handle such cases, saying it’s the only way to eliminate bias and ensure the credibility of the final reports.

Liars still is what we seem to know describes too many of our politicians, civil and public servants, police and RCMP included and not just the phone companies

It seems clear to me we have in too many places even in the Canadian governments now have  hired too many realy bad and incompetent managers, supervisors, all those persons now  who are too stupid to do a good job, for anyone who foolishly, stupidly  tries now to tells me that more money and more employee training will solve their employees ineffectiveness has already missed the boat and has now undeniably too hired already really bad people firstly  to start of with, these  same unacceptably  bad people who should all be fired and replaced with good workers immediately.

Liars and even alcoholics unacceptably too still is what we seem to know describes too many of our  politicians, civil and public servants, police and RCMP included!

I really do get rightfully upset when some no good immoral employee at a phone company lies and tries to blame me for not paying my monthly bill on time, or tries to screw me with their false CONTRACT DEMANDS,  or some civil servant lyingly tries to avoid work or falsely blame me for the delay in their work of looking after me.. as it has even happened to me too many times this year alone.

While it is true still that many of the  cops, civil and public servants, politicians, divorcees, priests and pastors  included now,  are still now mostly liars claiming to be REALY here to serve the good welfare of the people, even caring about their own  family too and yet they are rather still mainly building up their own castle, their own welfare, doing their ownthing, took the job mostly to get more wealth, but they will not find a full satisfaction, reward in what they do  rather   will likely learn is as  per (Proverbs 22:1 KJV)  A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. (Ecclesiastes 7:1 KJV)  A good name is better than precious ointment; and the Day of death than the day of one’s birth.

THESE PERVESE PERSONS Expecting personally blessings, rewards, regards, honours like Haman in Esther 7:10  instead they are reaping the shame, exposures of their own bad doings.. and do see and the creditor has come.. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2011/06/14/and-the-creditor-is-come/ https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/toronto-councillor-adam-giambrone-lies/

We all can now too readily by know about the RCMP officers who gave their lying version even to the Queens courts as to why they had murdered an innocent Polish Immigrant Robert Dziekanski, 40 at the Vancouver airport.. read RCMP, police services, Revenue Canada, Civil and public servants

Many of us also do too readily know that too many of our politicians, public and civil servants  do lie and they do not even try to keep their original election promises too.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2011/05/18/rcmp-police-services-revenue-canada-civil-and-public-servants/

In the last year alone I have had major problems myself in getting decent, valid tangible services from Bell, Virgin Mobile Canada, Roger and Primus customer support and billing representatives just for a start.

Now months later I am even still waiting now even for too many months for a promised final updated accurate cell phone billing and related refund from my cell phone company Bell – Virgin Mobile Canada as well even though the Quebec law, Bill states that I should have it within 15 days http://postedat.wordpress.com/2011/05/03/virgin-mobile-canada-continues-to-falsely-lie-to-me-and-tries-falsely-to-hold-on-my-money-as-well-even-against-the-quebec-law-thread_id28512378%e2%80%9d/

and yes there are some good persons, but not in the big corporations, churches, politics or in the governments it seems these days

I happened to also rightfully believe that some of the most stupid, immoral politicians are those who legalize / make gambling, divorce, alcohol, immoralities, euthanasia more easily neglecting eventualy the high overall costs next to taxpayers, societies as a result..
