A study says shrinking budgets in the oil and gas industry could lead to as many as 185,000 direct and indirect job losses this year in Canada. In the one horse province Alberta would be the hardest hit . Loonie plunges as oil’s slide continues; One-in-four oil, gas jobs could be lost in 2015 but for decades the Politicians did not plan ahead for the rainy days.. Bleak numbers showing that Canada’s economy shrank in the first three months of 2015 have already created a torrent of downgraded economic projections on how the rest of the year will unfold.
.
First it was the mad cow disease in Alberta next also the Public Health Agency of Canada is investigating 41 cases of human illness in Western Canada that are believed to be tied to a single, undisclosed, Alberta poultry supplier. According to the Public Health Agency of Canada, the patients became ill between April 5 and May 23, 2015 after purchasing live poultry from the Miller Hatcheries or Rochester Hatchery catalogues, through mail-order or from the store fronts. The two hatcheries receive their live poultry from the same supplier. Customers who placed poultry orders with the hatcheries during the suspected infection period have been contacted and supplied with salmonella information packages. Investigations are underway in connection to 41 suspected salmonella cases including:
- Alberta (22 cases)
- British Columbia (14 cases)
- Saskatchewan (4 cases)
- Manitoba (1 case)

PC Premier Jim Prentice boldly predicted another Tory majority while NDP Leader Rachel Notley insisted Alberta is ready for a new premier. “It’s time to choose an Alberta where tomorrow is better than yesterday,” “We’re going to build Alberta. We’re going to represent the best interests of Albertans she said. “Jim Prentice simply doesn’t get it,” Notley said. “By now it’s clear that Jim Prentice is not the leader Alberta needs.” . ONCE AGAIN ALBERTA HEADS INTO A DEPRESSION https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2015/01/24/once-again-alberta-heads-into-a-depression/ .
.
IMAGINE THE UNINMAGINEABLE. . The NDP wins a majority government in Alberta, ending a Progressive Conservative dynasty in power for more than four decades. Well those socialists, the NDP finally took over from the Conservative, capitalists .The NDP won 53 seats — nine more than needed for a majority in the 87-seat legislature.. With the NDP running on a platform of increasing funding for the province’s schools and hospitals in the midst of low oil prices and plunging tax revenues. The PC Leader and former premier Jim Prentice immediately announced his resignation even as an MLA.
.
All Albertans got their hammer and sickle and not just a broom, to the dismay, anger of the Conservatives. THE NDP made a promise to raise the corporate tax rate to 12 per cent from 10 per cent, increase taxes on the highest-income Albertans and review the royalties that oil companies pay to the province. The Wildrose Party was poised to become the Official Opposition with about 21 seats while the Progressive Conservatives were crushed with about only 11 seats. The election results were the ultimate anti-incumbent protests, rebuke to the past endemic PC scandals and cronyism. with accountability and trust already at a sore point . OBJECTION to a government ruled by a tiny clique .
.
How the once mighty have fallen from such a great height. Clearly the PC supporters were so angry at the perception that their party had lost touch with Albertans that they switched loyalties and put the NDP in their place. Canada’s right is in mourning that the NDP won a majority in the latest Alberta election. The past NDP, Social Credit Party (based loosely on the ideas of C. H. Douglas) was a right-wing populist party that arose in response to the Great Depression. It held the governments of Alberta and British Columbia at various times. Preston Manning’s father, Ernest C. Manning, was the long-time Social Credit Premier of Alberta.
.
All political parties have differences of views in the objective of leading society for the better and they even differ how to implement this. The difference between conservatism(right-wing) and socialism(left-wing), is that conservatism unrealistically holds that all individuals are typically capable, healthy people who should solely work out their own problems for themselves. Socialism, imo, holds that not all individuals tend to be able to stand on their own, but rather many do need a strong government to help them. While normal levels of self-worth, self-confidence and self-value are all essential for all people who want to be fully functioning, there is a line between these characteristics and being arrogant. Most of the time, arrogance can indicate an excessive need for self-importance and wanting to be the center of attention. In its extreme form, it can turn into narcissism. It could be the root of many problems, from anxiety to depression to the inability to sustain healthy and fulfilling relationships. Liberals and Conservatives tend to be self centered, greedy, materialistic oriented persons. Their universe is usually small. self centered, superficial . Research has indicated that the materialism drive are due to a high neuroticism and low agreeableness. They feel incomplete. That is why they use other people to fill up the inner gap. . They are intolerant of differences. They devalue others and put them at a lesser position. It is hard for self-centered people to have a real sense of empathy. Even if they do, it is usually conditional, depending on what they are receiving from the source they are empathizing with. They expect too much for what they are willing to give. Yes when you go deep inside, their real feeling of inadequacy reveals itself. Don’t buy into their arrogance, don’t feed their excessive sense of self-importance. Don’t be their door mat. Have compassion for them since they falsely have created a wrong type of self-protection mode for them. Beyond the fact of their self-delusion is the related inability to admit to their own basic motivations . Neglect the poor and you will walk in their does next.
.
It is really sad and that’s what you get when lying people bury their heads in the sand and still keep saying things are just great in Alberta. Is towns while the reality paints a different picture. . It’s not a surprise that now many families are packing up and evacuating this wild west and moving back to civilization. Can you blame them. crime is out of control. Yes the last boom brought sky-high prices for everything, made a lot of angry unhappy people. And the last oil boom attracted a lot of gangs and organized crime to Alberta that made things much worse. Cost ineffective useless mostly police does not help much.
.
Basic public services are also affected negatively because of the downturn, for example Calgary could cover its major Bus transit shortages across the entire city by adding 980,000 bus service hours, but it, lacks the revenue , cost of the fuel.. The city would need to add that number of hours to cover 95 per cent of Calgary’s residential hours with baseline bus service running at least every 30 minutes. Presently 229,000 residents, or 18 per cent of the city’s population and 58,000 jobs, don’t enjoy a base level of bus service.
.
Calgary saw a break-in per hour in 2015 as property crime surged Some say that “They’re doing this, generally, to support their drug habit, or alcohol addiction, or some other addiction.” The clearance rate on break and enter crimes was just 11.5 per cent last year, down from 14.1 per cent in 2014. This seems to he the way things go when a person’s loses the way to make money honestly and provide for their families, still no excuses.
.
The Governments, Politicians supposedly caring about own good welfare firstly, is the best joke of the year too, in reality rather they are working realy hard everyday too looking first after themselves , and undeniably clearly living high on the hog at our expense, and that even includes too many of our bad civil and public servants too now.. WHERE ARE THE POLICE HERE TOO WHEN YOU NEED THEM??? And accountability, openness, transparency are more Stephen Harper’s conservative government lies that need to be prosecuted as well.. Under the new federal Conservatives the civil an public servants are not being managed any better and they still too often waste, abuse our tax dollars and this is unacceptable. Mostly Pretentious and useless RCMP, Consumer Protection, Health Canada, and Revenue Canada need to really shape up still now too.
.
And what about still dealing with our elected political members, civil and public servants who too often have abused the tax payers generosity now as well, they also seem still to get away with it.. https://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2012/04/17/the-governments-politicians-cares-about-or-own-good-welfare-firstly-the-best-joke-of-the-year-too/ .
