GREAT EXAMPLE OF A TWO TIER HEALTH SYSTEM IN CANADA Oh Danny BOY

Useless Watchdog ready to handle ER probes.
It is misleading to say that the lack of Hospital beds is the sole problem..

Do you even  know what the actual patient waiting time  is to see a cardiologist  for example outside of the hospital, or an eye doctor, or a  skin specialist, a knee specialist  for a start?

Having been to the emergency about 7 times at least this year alone with my senior father there are 3 things essential for all for a start  to note..

1 People who are seriously ill cannot generally  be helped by their family doctors, cause they  still generally  do not have the essential medical skills or even access to the essential medical tests..

Only hospital tend to have the best, essential testing equipment, medical personnel .. so the lack of emergency room or hospital beds  here  now is not the sole problem..

in reality rather the root problem is the lack of hospital staff to test the sick people 24 hours per day and seven days a week since the good hospital staff, medical technicians and doctors  tend to work 9-5 and  five days a week only.. and this is the root problem

Generally too many inadequate, pretentious medical test are also still being done initially too by the family doctors and emergency rooms one too.

2 What the lack of emergency and hospital  beds now also means though is that the patient cannot firstly get medically diagnosed and get get their blood tests done within the first 4 hours..

so they can if needed be put into an emergency bed for 48 hours and next if needed.. transferred to the Hospital bed for 10 days at the most where more medical  tests can be done…

what we here also really still do need is not more beds.. but hospital medical testing facilities to be available 7 days a week, 24 hours per day..

3 The lack of proven, skilled medical personnel is still problem especially, especially   in emergency rooms and elsewhere..

for instance inexperienced, nurses and inexperienced  doctors should not be allowed to look after  the patients in the emergency room.. Reality   rather here  we need qualified and experienced medical personnel here and   24 hours per day and seven days a week here.. which too often is not the case too…

4 Now I myself have been to the emergency room at least 5 times the last few years..

Note this I had 5 different doctors at the same hospital give 5 different reason for my sickness initially and none of them were right.. the actual sickness was determined only after I was admitted and serious testing done..

In many  other instances the emergency room could not help me or others cause they did not have at all the proper medical experts available at all in the emergency room.. since they tend to  too often concentrate, specialize in recognizing  heart attacks, cancer , broken bones mainly  it seems.

Oh well if you cannot get good medical servcie   in Canada you can go to the states if you are rich..

WHILE THE RICH PREMIER GOES TO THE US HIS  FOR HEALTH CARE. Kennedy told of health woes in Lab West CBC –  Hundreds of people packed a Labrador City meeting hall Thursday night to lay out a litany of health care problems, including tragic stories of loss, to Newfoundland and Labrador’s health minister. Stories ranged from a shortage of medical specialists to a lack of equipment to harrowing waits for air ambulances.

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. -Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams  is rightfully getting cooked alive in the comments section of many websites for his own choosing to head to the States for medical care.  Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams has left the province for heart surgery , but his office wouldn’t whether it will be done in Canada or the United States. Spokeswoman Elizabeth Matthews didn’t disclose the details of the procedure or say exactly when or where it will occur.  “I can confirm that Premier Williams did leave the province this morning and will be undergoing heart surgery,” she said in an email. And next we find out he went to the US. What message does this act  send to ordinary Canadians?-Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams do you know something the rest of us don’t?

AND WHAT THE REST OF THE CITIZENS OF Newfoundland and Labrador ALSO GET SENT TO ANOTHER PROVINCE FOR HEART SURGERY OR WHAT IN REALITY??

The rich Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador is rightfully being accused of having a double standard, not being a great example as well, claiming concern for Canadians and the people of his province, he clearly now does everything it takes to stay alive in the American health system and not in the Canadian one even. And when he is rightfully criticized for this his supporters demand privacy, but a person in public office does not get privacy and he already knew that when he took his office. If this  senior government official — one who arguably knows all the ins-and-outs of the province’s health care — doesn’t trust his own  health-care system that he administers, or if he also doesn’t want to wait in line like everyone else, it says something important about his health care. Now this head of a Canadian provincial government has made his judgment: American health care is superior to Canada’s because he did too little to change it as well.. And  in seeking out U.S. medical expertise, the Premier bypassed renowned and elite cardiac-care units in Toronto , Ottawa, Montreal. And by exiting as he did (sans explanation), he succeeded in rekindling the smouldering sources of angst that dog Canada’s health system: the quality of care, wait times and the nature of the choices available to those with means and those without as well..

Premier Danny Williams is recovering from heart surgery performed Thursday in the United States. It’s not known what type of procedure the 60-year-old Williams underwent or where the surgery was done. This is not a great example of transparency and accountability as well..

If that don’t beat all . A Premier of Canada went to the U.S. to have a procedure . And , if this don’t beat all This guy is a government official, and so he gets paid by the taxpayer. What does he do with our money, he spends it in America. I have never heard him say anything bad about our health care, and then he does something like this? Perhaps he should check the meaning of double-standard, since he clearly believes in them. Wishing you a speedy recovery Mr. Williams, because when you get home you got a lot of explaining to do. “recovering at an undisclosed medical facility in the United States” The “premier’s office is offering no comment”  “won’t even confirm that he underwent the surgery”   Why all the “top secret” games?  What else does he hide now too?  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/newfoundland-labrador/story/2010/02/04/nl-williams-surgery-204.html

Premier Danny Williams, new slogans – “Any healthcare service, but the one that I am responsible for providing to the voters in my province”,  “It ain’t good enough for me, but by god boyo its good enough for you voters”. Danny Williams is the Premier, which means that he had the final say for how health care dollars were spent in the province. If he suddenly had to leave the province (that he runs) because local hospitals were not up to the task of providing necessary procedures, wouldn’t that be at least partially his own fault? However, since he’s rich, he has alternatives that the rest of us Canadians do not have.  http://www.cbc.ca/politics/insidepolitics/2010/02/premier-heart-surgery-on-reporting-despite-a-cone-of-silence.html

Williams draws most support from Atlantic Canada, least from Quebec… in Quebec where just over half of those surveyed said the premier’s contentious choice was inappropriate. Overall, 44 per cent of Canadians supported the premier’s decision, while 42 per cent did not.

Premier Danny Williams is a very poor representative of government to have travelled to the United States for cardiac surgery. I find it very hard to accept any reason for his decision, especially when there are many top cardiac surgeons and centres of excellence across Canada. Perhaps he is still stinging from the last health-care debacle in his province where breast cancer patients were not receiving correct treatment. If I were a Newfoundlander, I would hold him accountable for the lack of good cardiac care. Politicians such as Williams are really good at placating their constituents’ concerns about health-care issues but walk a different walk when it concerns themselves. http://www.ottawacitizen.com/health/Have+heart+Danny/2530751/story.html

While the rich, powerful, influential get special medical treatment.. and what about the rest?  Just over one-third of Canadians live too far away from a specialized hospital to get the best available treatment for a heart attack, suggests a new study.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/100204/national/heart_attack_geography

Compare this to Jack Layton, king of the Socialists, who lives off the public teat, jumping the queue for treatment at a private clinic in Canada., NDP leader Jack Layton has begun receiving treatment for prostate cancer rather in Canada and he  will continue as party leader

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams had his mitral valve repaired in Florida – a procedure he says was not offered in Canada. However, Dr. Asim Cheema, a cardiologist at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, told QMI Agency that mitral valve repair is routinely performed in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. Williams said that his doctor recommended he have it done at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Fla., where the procedure is minimally invasive. The premiere’s office confirmed that his procedure is, in fact, available in Canada, but could not confirm why Williams’ chose instead to go to Florida.

Most accidents are caused by drunk driving and the doctor does not mention this still?? what was that? he was paid by the liquor industry not to? or was PAID BY MONEY MAKING REVENUE COPS TO SAY SPEED ALONE MAINLY KILLS.. HOW ABSURD.. THIS Canadian doctor.. and not a Canadian Traffic engineer uses now US statistics ONLY to say speed alone kills? and he what HE THUS HAD considered also the number of drunk, impaired, road rage  drivers, that seem to increase very year as a fact for most of the deaths NO MATTER WHAT THE SPEED?  or what this did not bother him.. only the number of people who speed?  SPEED IS A MAIN FACTOR IN 5 TO 15 PERCENT OF THE ACCIDENTS.. AND WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE ACCIDENTS? THE 85 PERCENT.. it SEEMS THE DOCTORS IN UNITED KINGDOM CONTRADICT THIS CANADIAN DOCTOR IN THEIR TRAFFIC ACCIDENT STUDIES TOO..
