Spin – Canadians warming to minority rule – MEDIA, POLITICAL Posturing

PINOCCHIO-L

Election time is when the Biggest liars escalate what they have been doing all year now anyway

BUFFALO, N.Y., Aug. 25 (UPI) — Many people seek out information confirming what they believe, instead of searching for information that confirms or disconfirms a belief, U.S. researchers say. Study co-author Steven Hoffman, a visiting assistant professor of sociology at the University at Buffalo, and colleagues say for the most part people completely ignore contrary information.  For example, before the 2004 U.S. election there was strong resilience of the belief among many Americans that Saddam Hussein was linked to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, despite strong evidence otherwise. http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2009/08/25/Study-Why-people-ignore-facts/UPI-95341251179479/

” the same day two very dissimilar polls were published. One gave Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative party an 11-point lead over the Liberals while the second showed the country’s two oldest parties in a dead heat. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/2009/08/25/Canadian-Liberals-fan-fall-election-talk/UPI-12571251205605/

SO WHAT POLL DID THE LOCAL  NEWS MEDIA EMPHASIZE, PUBLISH NEXT? THE WANT THEY WANTED THE READERS TO SEE? OR THE ONE THEY THOUGHT THE READERS WANTED TO READ? OR WHAT YOU THOUGHT THERE WAS SUCH AS THING NOW AS HONEST JOURNALISM TOO? DREAM ON AND CAN I SELL YOU THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE AGAIN?

Spin – Canadians warming to minority rule  Canadians warming to liars?

Why is it so many of the liars still wrongfully, falsely think all of  the rest of us are still stupid?

The real fact of life is that there is an ongoing need of honest Journalism still,  of separating the fact, truth from the spins, lies, for the majority persons now even in Canada tend not to believe these polls cause we firstly do know they can bought, be manipulated to give the answer you want, to meet a hidden agenda still. Nor do we tend to believe automatically sadly  the too often lying news media, politicians and their associates as well, especially the lawyers.

The spin doctors now say that Canadians want a Majority Government, Canadians want a majority Liberal Government, Canadians want a majority Conservative  Government or  “Canadians warming to minority rule: poll 53.9% Supportive; Election-ready Conservative MPs focused on majority Emily Senger, National Post  Published: Saturday, August 22, 2009 ” and well here is my version of this poll as posted on the net for all to see too. Canadians want a good  honest majority government, honest, honest, good leaders, honest and good politicians firstly still too, honest and good cops, RCMP firstly still too

Firstly my own real past personal undeniable dealing with Nik Nanos, as I had previously detailed to him and on the net,   was that he was an unfair, unethical person, and he did not deny this to me before  too,   who likely would sell himself to the highest bidder and so how can anyone trust anything he writes now too about Stephen Harper or Canadian Politics ?

“  With Conservative MPs beginning to ramp up rhetoric about the need for a majority in the next election, the poll suggests they may not have a high degree of support for that view, said Nanos president and CEO Nik Nanos. ( I do not support the conservatives but clearly neither does Nik Nanos based on his other recent polls of his that I have read too but we all could know that before the poll result too)

”The Conservatives have said that they want a majority government for stability, but the polling suggests that only about 31.5% of Canadians would even like them to see them get re-elected,” Mr. Nanos said.  ( We do not need a poll to know that 30 persons of these supporters are Conservatives, mostly in Alberta, prairies , or also the fact that 60 percent of Alberta voters had stopped voting in the provincial elections now too but we knew that before the poll )

In the poll, 58.5% of respondents said the statement “Stephen Harper has had his chance and it’s time for a change” matched their beliefs. ( what the same polarized majority that did not elect him into office in the first place too and  we knew that before the poll, and why would have it changed even?)

The appetite for minority governments is partially driven by the fact that Canadians don’t see a single leader as particularly strong or desirable, so electing a leader into a minority situation provides a check ( block, stalemate) on power, Mr. Nanos said. ( and that is still  Nik’s political spin, it has nothing to do with a real poll results ehh?)

“It’s a bit of a reflection on the state of affairs in regards to the leadership of the federal political parties,” Mr. Nanos said. (but we knew that before the poll)

The poll indicated that those in Quebec are most in favour of a minority government, with 29.7% of respondents saying the idea of a minority government was positive. ( We all know or should know that no one can win a federal majority government without a leader from Quebec, and I said that openly too, and that is why IGGY too now from Ontario  is not popular, and that is a fact, no poll is needed,   we knew that before Nik poll.)

On the Prairies, only 11% of respondents said the idea of a minority government was positive. ( Cause the biased, self centered  prairies support a majority Conservative government and the rest of Canada do not.. but we knew that before the poll)
This isn’t surprising given the number of Bloc voters in Quebec, who ( rightfully)  benefit greatly when there is a minority in the House, Mr. Nanos said. (but we knew that before the poll, BQ too is a legitimate, elected party and has a full right to exists and no poll can change that fact, truth now too)

“Any situation where the BQ could potentially place leverage on the government of Canada, would probably be welcome for those voters,” Mr. Nanos said.

When asked why they viewed a minority as favourable, 54.8% of respondents said: “It’s good because it forces parties to co-operate.” But when asked if minority governments actually do co-operate, Mr. Nanos replied simply. “No,” he said, laughing. Co-operation between minorities happened when Lester B. Pearson’s Liberals created the Canada Health Act in 1984, but today’s minority governments seem to spend more time fighting than forging alliances.

“There is a natural default position in the Canadian psyche to want everybody to work together and be nice,” Mr. Nanos said. “It doesn’t necessarily translate into political reality.” ( To be honest and fair firstly now   Harper does not have a majority government, and as an minority leader he firstly has to cooperate with the other parties, as we all can know   he Harper himself clearly has refused to do, he and his party now firstly obstructs all parties cooperation to insure his  government failure to hopefully in futility  force a futile majority government election for the Conservatives, the reality is that Harper firstly had set the bad tone in the house himself and he now lying blames it on the others, but we knew that before the poll, there is not denial of that truth and no need to spin it as well)

Nanos Research ( actually a spin doctoring, political posturing  report, do take a poll to see if it isn’t ehh) conducted a random telephone survey of 1,002 Canadians between July 30 and Aug. 2. The survey is considered accurate to within plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.” ( accurate? more like full of distortions  and spins and  I myself thus would never hire rightfully Nanos for any Poll..)  esenger@nationalpost.com
http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/story.html?id=1918505

No wonder so many people rightfully do believe that Politicians, polls and news media often lie these days.. I got no good meat out of this report, it was a waste of money.. Citizens clearly do not care for leaders, political parties who still are mainly locking after their own interests and lie and say they are not, that they are looking after the citizens, and that is an undeniable truth, fact, that no poll will change too

PS: One obvious liar, or crook?  objected in writing to me for sending this to him or others… too bad for him.. I still do have my right of free speech now too.

“After five years of constant election speculation, Canadians may be warming to the idea of minority governments, according to a new poll. The poll, conducted by Nanos Research, suggests that more than half of Canadians, 53.9%, say their impression of minority governments is positive or somewhat positive.” ( maybe is not a poll fact, but a spin)

Canadians don’t want election, Stephen Harper says, while Harper and his associates  are clearly   in reelection campaign mode

Ignatieff does not want  an election  he says and Ignatieff insists he’s not in campaign mode, but his Liberal Party is

As posted on the net the truth is that Canadians warming to minority rule: poll and everyone in  Politics these days is sadly still a big liar it seems too.. at the federal and at the provincial levels,  they mostly lie to get reelected  and THEY LIE WHEN THEY SAY THEY ARE HERE TO BE RESPONSIBLE TO LOOK AFTER THE GOOD CITIZENS OF CANADA IS BASICALLY THE REASON WE PREFER MINORITY GOVERNMENTS CAUSE WE DO NOT TRUST ANY MAJORITY PARTY. We need to and want to stop electing all liars into any government job, political office, newspapers, news media as well. http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/story.html?id=1918505

Another day and we have the news media again disagreeing with each other and who do we believe?

Liberals, Tories in dead heat: poll  Monday, Aug. 24, 2009  OTTAWA – A new poll suggests the Conservatives and Liberals remain locked in a dead heat amid rumblings of a possible fall election. The Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey put the parties in a statistical tie, with 32 per cent support for the Liberals and 31 per cent for the Tories. The NDP were at 16 per cent, the Greens at 11, and the Bloc Quebecois at nine. The numbers have barely budged throughout the summer, a period in which voters are typically disengaged.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/canada/cp

Conservatives jump to big lead in poll Reuters Canada   Monday, Aug. 24, 2009 The impression that the economy was recovering from a recession helped propel the Conservatives to 39 percent support and cut the Liberals to 28 percent, the Ipsos Reid poll said. Two months ago, it had the Liberals ahead 35 to 34 percent.”The Tories are now in the driver’s seat,” the polling firm said. Most recent polls had put the two main parties neck and neck, and a Nanos survey two weeks ago had the Liberals ahead by 2-1/2 percentage points.

Conservatives 39%, Liberals 28%, NDP 14%Net Newsledger - James Murray -Monday, 24 August 2009 06:46 pm  Conservatives 39%, Liberals 28%, NDP 14% Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s five-day visit to the north and official statistics showing the country is slowing moving out of recession are working in the prime minister’s favor. Evidence is the 11 percent hike in the Tories’ approval rating in a survey made by Ipsos Reid. The results of the study made by Ipsos Reid for Canwest News Service and released Monday, said the Conservatives led by Harper got a 39 percent support among decided voters. The party’s rating went up by 5 percent compared to two months ago.In contrast, the Liberals led by Michael Ignatieff, secured only 28 percent, which dipped by 7 percent from two months ago. The same poll said 45 percent of Canadians think Harper did a good job and deserves to be reelected, although a higher 50 percent had an opposite view. Nevertheless, Harper is seen by 48 percent as better in improving Canada’s economy and representing Ottawa’s interest in global affairs, while 49 percent view the prime minister as doing a good job in managing Canada’s finances. Ignatieff is perceived as the better leader by 45 percent in protecting the environment,

New Poll In Canada Shows Tories Widen Lead Over Liberals Gant Daily - Monday, Aug. 24, 2009  Ottawa, Ontario (AHN) – Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s five-day visit to the north and official statistics showing the country is slowing moving …

Yeah I know everyone lies, some more than others.. such as news editors, pastors, politicians, lawyers, doctors too?..

There are yes too many  false sheep who worship those crooked leaders, shepherds, pastors, preachers dressed in nice suits. Not trying to impress anyone, or showing off I next went to a new church dressed in my clean, regular daily clothes. I next too was surprised when now one said hello to me nor did they great me, and a few services later this continued to happen. So I prayed about it and to my surprise God said they were harlots, prostitutes. Embarrassed at this revelation I decided I would fully proof for myself this was true. So next Sunday I put on a white shirt, tie, nice black pants, and a white sports jacket and most everyone said hello  to me. Incidentally the same thing happens to me on the bus as well.. Why?  Also the very same pastor of this professing Christian church dressed there in a nice suit who also did not talk to me as well was next charged with abuse, slander, lying, misappropriation of church funds, and was eventually fired. Now these days when I see these peacock members, deacons, ushers  strutting around church in their fancy suits trying to impress the others , it causes me to be sick to my stomach still. It would be better if they used the money rather to help the poor and needy in their own church.

Evangelical Prime Minister Stephen Harper now included. The Canadian new Conservative party -wolves in sheep clothing

Prime Minister Stephen Harper was labelled Canada’s political “patronage king” and a “hypocrite” yesterday after tossing aside for the second time his promise not to name unelected Canadians to the Senate. Liberal Iggy had nothing to do with this as well. Stephen Harper once said he had no plans to stack the Senate with unelected representatives, suggesting it was “a dumping ground for the favoured cronies of the prime minister.” Next when he’s actually a prime minister, he’s done exactly what he said he wouldn’t do. And falsely Harper still blames the Liberals for his lies, poor acts, or whatever but clearly he Harper lacks integrity too and thus patronage and croneyism continues to rule the day in Canadian politics and taxpayers are still the big losers. Conservative supporters  go along with Harper’s lies again too. He has declared to the Canadian public that he would not name unelected people to the Senate. … His word means less and less every day he’s in office, and he’s behaving more and more like the Liberals,” NDP Leader Jack Layton said of Harper.

Word that Michael Ignatieff is backing down again from his demands for Employment Insurance reform is terrible news for the 1.6 million Canadians who are out-of-work and struggling to make ends meet, says New Democrat Leader Jack Layton.“All summer I’ve met with unemployed families who can barely pay their bills and put food on the table,” said Layton. “They need help now, but Michael Ignatieff insists on ignoring them.”

The Liberal Party — first under Dion and now under Ignatieff — have a disgraceful track record of propping up Stephen Harper. They’ve rubberstamped his Conservative agenda 79 times and counting. Employment Insurance reform is just the latest example of Liberals standing up for Harper, instead of standing up for Canadians. http://albertatalks.ca/2009/08/28/ignatieff-backs-down-on-ei-again

While personal revenge and anger tends to amplify our worst  tendencies but we all do need a  stark reminder that all persons now are still  responsible, accountable  for what they do, say, in governments, police stations, churches, in the open, online or  otherwise. Civil and public servants, Pastors, elders, individuals included.

Canada’s Unemployment figures lie

  highprices

The unemployment rate in Canada, the most robust of all G8 economies during the current global crisis, has jumped again and again..

“Some people say that the recession is over but try telling that to the unemployed and their families. Unemployment is going to get worse in the months ahead and the Harper government is leaving people to fend for themselves.

Number of EI recipients rises in June OTTAWA – There were 816,600 Canadians receiving regular Employment Insurance benefits in June, 5.1 per cent – or 39,500 – more than in May.

and what about all the people who gave up and went to social aid,?

and what about those typical political false prophets who lie and tell you the Recession is over…

Welfare, jobless rates  shows EI reform needed.. a majority of unemployed Canadians are not eligible for Employment Insurance, often because they work on contract or part-time or in seasonal jobs that don’t last long enough for them to qualify. The problem is particularly acute in Ontario, where only three in 10 unemployed persons qualify for Employment Insurance. The alternative to fixing Employment Insurance is to drive the jobless onto the welfare rolls (the responsibility of provinces and municipalities) or to force them to plunder their assets such as homes and retirement savings. Neither option is desirable.  http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/583750

bum

The given Canadian  government Unemployment figures always have been big lies cause they are adjusted figures of people receiving UIC cheques, they do not actually state all of the people unemployed who do not qualify for UIC, have been forced to go onto social welfare or have to get part time jobs with no fringe benefits or have become self employed which is a costly undertaking

For example “A new report on Toronto’s economic indicators paints what one councillor calls a “very gloomy” picture of the continuing impact of the global recession, including a 16 per cent hike in the welfare rolls. The July report from the city’s economic development department finds an unemployment rate, based on a three-month average, of 11.5 per cent, up from 8.5 per cent a year earlier. The number of welfare cases jumped to 87,450 in May of this year from 75,237 in June 2008, an increase of more than 12,000 – which translates to 16,556 more individuals receiving assistance”.

New home sales jumped to 3,782 in June 2009 from 3,544 last June, a 7 per cent increase, and total sales hit 10,951 from 8,596 – a 27 per cent hike.

But housing starts declined to 1,395 from 2,567 in the same period, a 46 per cent drop, and new listings declined to 13,357 from 16,068, a 17 per cent fall-off.   http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/684386

August 7 2009 – Statistics Canada reports that unemployment was unchanged at 8.6% in July as fewer people participated in the job market. However, the number of people employed fell by 45,000 across both part-time and full-time sectors. 414,000 jobs have been lost since the peak in the job market last October. Young workers (age 15-24) have been particularly hard hit with a reduction of 205,000 jobs. Quebec (-37,000) and Saskatchewan (-5000) were most affected in July.

Seasonally adjusted, unemployment rates vary from 17.1% (Newfoundland and Labrador) to 4.7% (Saskatchewan).

Rates for all the provinces were (previous month in brackets):

  • Newfoundland and Labrador 17.1% (15.6%)
  • Prince Edward Island 12.3% (12.2%)
  • Nova Scotia 9.2% (9.3%)
  • New Brunswick 9.4% (9.2%)
  • Quebec 9.0% (8.8%)
  • Ontario 9.3% (9.6%)
  • Manitoba 5.2% (5.2%)
  • Saskatchewan 4.7% (4.6%)
  • Alberta 7.2% (6.8%)
  • British Columbia 7.8% (8.1%)

According to Georgetti, in March 2009 only 46.8% of those who were unemployed were actually receiving EI benefits. “This is a scandal,” he said. “These workers contributed to Employment Insurance in good faith and now they are being left to fend for themselves. They will not be able to take their kids on a holiday this year or send them to summer camps, and when families don’t have money to spend the entire community feels the pinch.”

Canadian Labour Congress Chief Economist, Andrew Jackson analyzed the situation:

  • “Today’s job numbers are a clear sign that, far from entering a recovery, the Canadian economy is still in free-fall.
  • “While the national unemployment rate remained unchanged in July at 8.6%, this was only because 53,000 workers gave up the fruitless search for jobs and dropped out of the labour force. The participation rate fell sharply, from 67.5% to 67.2%, the largest monthly decline we have seen since the recession began.
  • “We lost another 45,000 jobs in July, but the picture is much worse on closer examination. There were 79,000 fewer workers in paid jobs compared to June, while self-employment rose by 35,000. This was on top of another big jump in self-employment of 37,000 last month.
  • “Put it all together and the picture is of large losses in paid jobs, with the impact on the headline unemployment rate cushioned by workers giving up the search for jobs or turning to self-employment.
  • “Today’s numbers show that the impact of the recession has spread decisively to women. There were 22,000 fewer adult women (aged 25 and over) working in July compared to June, and another 31,000 adult women dropped out of the labour force.
  • “The figures suggest little impact to date from the federal government’s stimulus package. We lost 18,000 construction jobs in July, bringing the total loss in this sector since October to 120,000 or 9.6%. The unemployment rate for students in July was 20.9%.”

In an article published Wednesday, the international financing agency’s chief economist says the recession has drained government treasuries to such an extent that “in nearly all countries … higher taxation is inevitable.”

So higher taxation is inevitable. watch out especially for more cash crabs by the municipalities too, much much  higher prices for revenue generating speeding, parking tickets and by law violations too. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/hidden-municpal-police-taxes/

After all all THOSE PEOPLE LIVING HIGH ON THE HOG AT THE CITY HALLS ARE NOT ABOUT TO GIVE UP THEIR EMPIRE BUILDING, LAVISH LIFESTYLES, EXOTIC BENEFITS, MOSTLY UNNECESSARY OUT OFF TOWN TRIPS.. and we have seen this already being carried out in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and now in Montreal.

I wrote before and said that  I once was naïve and believed that the news was honest, professional , objective but now almost daily I encounter contradictory spin doctors lies under the heading of news.. The Conservative and Liberals news media both spin..

for example- Posted for all to know the reality .. the news lies often too.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/19/more-hidden-cash-grabs-higher-taxes/

Conservatives maintain slight poll lead Reuters Canada - David Ljunggren, Rob Wilson -  OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada’s governing Conservatives are still slightly ahead in public opinion polls over the main opposition Liberals, but would have no

One hour later..

Liberals lead Tories 36% to 33% Vancouverite -  A majority (55%) ‘disagrees’ (28% strongly/27% somewhat) that ‘the Liberal Party is ready again to govern Canada’. However, 45% ‘agree’ (12% strongly/33% …

so what spin do we believe here too?

I can quickly sum up my political experiences in Canada.. for decades now most people in Canada  seem to elect liars and alcoholics for politicians, and we have had now much too many of them elected as well.. Of course  it seems natural for alcoholics to lie, they seen to often lie that it is is ok to drink alcohol in the first place, and it seems natural for many lawyers who run for political offices, and many want to be politicians to lie to get elected.. Yes most people elect liars who tell them the things they want to hear.. we all know that had Stephen Harper told the truth that Canada was going into a major depression next, he very likely would have never got elected. so he said there was going to be no election or recession, he clearly lied. After he was elected he admits Canada was facing a big recession of course, how could he deny otherwise. I openly express the truth that we should stop electing any liars and alcoholics, even in the police forces, civil and public services now too,  and when it is confirmed that they are thieves, cheats,  liars or alcoholics they should be immediately fired, recalled.. as simple as that too. Some professing ostrich evangelical totally deny that the professing Christians drink alcohol, they have a problem with the alcoholics rather and not me I merely reported the truth, facts, that many professing Christians drink alcohol and falsely try to justify it as well.. Alcohol does a lot of brain damages, negatively affects your ability to work, to live normal, alcohol is a major cause of car accidents, tends to destroy your family life, so of course I have no use for alcohol or alcoholics anywhere. Neither should any of us not just MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. and a  bad immoral Conservatives is not better than a bad immoral Liberal, especially firstly the alcoholic ones.

That was down from Monday’s close of $74.37 and follows lower prices on foreign exchanges overnight. Analysts say oil prices are following declines in stock prices, which also dropped on foreign exchanges.”   Boy that is going to hurt realy bad in Alberta again…

For decades I too  have rightfully opposed to all  the extravagant, wasteful spending of the city’s , tax payers money by civil, public servants because it is next the programs to the poor people that are cut first when financial problems occur… The continual mismanagement, budget deficit, tax payer money abuses and has there been even any changes in all this really? We all  really still do need still a full  review of the waste, fraud, and abuse that has plagued governmental efforts. What is also needed is a enforced, real program to remove public officials from office that take our money and abuse it, spend it on their own false pet projects while many of our people still are not getting the help that they need.  January 2004 was the start of my recent rash of my written correspondences mainly on the unacceptable  tax payers money abuses, injustices at the federal, provincial municipal levels too, as well, and it all  has specifically initially started because I had strongly, rightfully objected to anyone in the province of BC being kicked of social welfare, even if they are alcoholics, drug users… I still do rightfully and loudly  object to anyone being kicked of social welfare even in BC or elsewhere and this is still never acceptable. They all Civil and public servants, politicians, need to be regularly supervised too. That is why we need and have the auditors, News media, Opposition parties, concerned citizens to do this too.. and it still generally is not enough as we can see. TWO OF MY PAST NEIGHBORS, MANAGERS,  WHO WORKED FOR CITY HALL OPENLY BOASTED TO ME, AND DEMONSTRATED TO ME FOR YEARS THE COMMON CORRUPTION IN THE LOCAL CITY HALL, DONE BY THEM AND MANY OF THEIR COLLEAGUES. This included their unnecessary out of town trips, their taking stuff, computer accessories,  home from the office for their own personal use, boasted of  their lavish expense accounts, of their doing personal work at the office, and much more. Why did they think that me a tax payer would approve any of such wrong doings was their error. I reported their wrong doings rightfully rather. OTHER MANAGERS OF CROWN CORPORATIONS HAD ALSO OFTEN BOASTED TO ME OF THEM DOING SIMILAR THEFTS  AS WELL.. The fish stinks from the head but many cut the tail of first..  Reducing, cutting of the programs to the poor and needy persons for  that seems how the governments wrongfully still do wrongfully  respond to budget cut backs,  deficits, and to the poor and needy people too now, rather than dealing still firstly with the major crooks, tax payer’s money abusers too in the government and elsewhere,  How many people in reality even in the civil, public services governments now  have been arrested all together  for tax evasions and tax payers money abuse now last year? How many? Anyone care to answer the question? And speaking of the related  federal review as well, who are the high spenders last year in the federal government.. who ate at the best restaurants, traveled the most at the tax payers restaurants.. who were the drunks now too..  Politicians, and civil and public servants now included too..  (Luke 6:43 KJV)  For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Even in our governments, history tends to repeat itself, including thefts, waste and mismanagement, deficits, and they tend not to rather get better and why?

There are also plenty of places to try to save the tax payer’s money but starting to save the tax payer’s money at the expense of the poor people and their welfare programs is not the best  way to do this, not at all the way to do it!   The governments firstly should though clearly manage better it’s civil and public servants.. and the capital expenditures. Why? Well I do also know from real  experiences that it is also the services to the poor and needy persons, those who can afford it the least, that are wrongfully cut to make up for the past budget mismanagement by Ministers, managers of the civil and public servants too in Canada’s Provinces, Municipalities too. Rather than cutting back on the governmental aid, programs to  the poor and needy persons even next  because of the government’s own unacceptable past mismanagement we all do now too need to really take another continual look at how effective our tax dollars are always all of being used by the civil and public servants, and their managers, politicians now too. Cutting back on the Corporate welfare also is what the government still does also needs to deal with and not cutting firstly the Social welfare. The Corporations got what Billions  in social welfare from the tax payers? and we do not have money for the poor people? or for proper medical care, or for proper Justice, police, consumer protection  too? It never surprises me anymore when the superiors, Managers even  at City hall as well can also still  find money for new furniture, more staff, larger personal expense accounts but cannot find  the money to help the ordinary, poor and needy people during the good and bad times now too. Unacceptable. We all need to care about the unemployed and the poor people, Elected officials now included. It also  seems even  the governments and it’s managers are too often rather still just for sale to the highest bidder… and it doesn’t care who they are involved with or what they are up to or what it looks like as long as they are rewarding themselves or  their friends, and thus they wrongfully and too tend  not too  really look after all of the good ordinary citizens welfare..  this is still never acceptable. They all Civil and public servants, politicians, need to be regularly supervised too. That is why we need and have the auditors, News media, Opposition parties, concerned citizens to do this too.. and it still generally is not enough as we can see. The fish stinks from the head but many cut the tail of first..  That seems how the governments wrongfully does  respond to money and the poor people too now rather than firstly with the major crooks, the real tax abusers too..

“ Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.(Galatians 2:10 KJV)  ”
Making all of the poor people, social welfare recipients, those who can afford it the least, to pay for the sins of others is an immoral and  criminal act still.

Furthermore here are thee, 3 things I know for sure in Canada the last 35 years

- It is not the poor people who have  mismanaged the majority of the tax payer’s money… but they do pay for it the most, those who can afford it the least

- if the public and civil servants had better managed the tax payer’s money there still would not  have been likely more money for the poor people cause the rich people would still try to steal it for themselves. I have met even covetous, greedy middle class and rich persons now too.

Thirdly  if all persons paid their taxes, and did not commit tax evasions, an ongoing major unacceptable sin that still do needs to be prosecuted there would be plenty of money for the poor people  assuming it could get to them without being stolen, intercepted again.

Even in my local evangelical church the pastor is also now was wrongfully  being  paid too an astronomical price for his poor services, his poor neglect of the poor people too, and I rightfully also do not agree with this  and say so as well. Jesus himself and the Apostles did not have a fixed salary nor a high paying one

(Isa 10:1 KJV)  Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; 2  To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! 3  And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 4  Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

(Mat 7:3 KJV)  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

No Surprise here self centered Stephen Harper and the Conservative clearly, often do not care about the good welfare of anyone but themselves.. Feds lack urgency in face of isotope crisis, MD says

The research studies are  in and they’re saying texting while driving is not only illegal — it’s really dangerous, distracting to good and safe driving .Texting, also known as SMS (short message service), refers to the 160-character messages sent and received on modern mobile phones. Distracted drivers are too often the cause of road accidents all the time, many of which lead to serious injury, even death. A recent study has shown texting while driving is proven to increase your likelihood of having an accident while drive by more than 23 times.  Now no matter what age, even while using a phone familiar to them, and with no traffic, road signals, or pedestrians, drivers are seriously distracted when they are typing out a tiny 160-character message. Texting while driving is a distraction,  so is eating the lunch you just grabbed from the drive-through, reading, checking navigation systems or making CD changes. The list is also limitless. It’s up to us all to serioulsy recognize what we should and shouldn’t be doing while we are driving. Along with a year around ban on driving and texting, drunk  driving too, must come education. Much the way “don’t drink and drive” has become a phrase everyone knows, “don’t text and drive” needs to be just as well versed. At the very least, when texting is the cause of an accident the case should be prosecuted criminally, much the way a DUI case is handled.

Nicholson, the member of Parliament for Niagara Falls and a senior Conservative cabinet minister, sent brochures out to hometown voters boasting his government’s response to the global economic crisis is “today’s plan for tomorrow’s success.”  Impeccable timing. These flyers, extolling the successes of the Conservative government, always seem to land in mailboxes just as election talk heats up. This time, Nicholson cites the International Monetary Fund saying “your Conservative government acted early to tackle the global economic crisis; delivered the right stimulus at the right time.”  Interesting spin, but most Canadians will recall Conservative Finance Minister Jim Flaherty introduced stimulus spending with a political gun to his head.  http://www.niagarafallsreview.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1695923

Oh, the irony: Nicholson and Harper, champions of stimulus – A typical lying lawyer’s spin and I was once naïve to believe that Justice Ministers especially were honest persons who did not lie.. but no longer naïve, we need now to appoint a new honest justice minister for sure.

A white policeman  falsely  arrested  the renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his home  Massachusetts.  Gov. Deval Patrick, once the top civil rights official in the Clinton administration and now, like Obama, the first black to hold his job, labeled Gates’s false arrest as “every black man’s nightmare.”  This also happens to many white men who oppose police brutality and injustice though, me included now, The governor told reporters: “You ought to be able to raise your voice in your own house without risk of arrest.”  and you can add to that the Natives now as well… EVEN IN Canada. Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. had just returned from a trip overseas and, upon arriving at the property with a driver, found his front door jammed and had to force it open. By the time police arrived at the house, he and the driver had managed to get inside the property. According to police, Prof Gates shouted at the officer and accused him of racial bias. Police Officers were called to Prof Gates’s house after a woman reported seeing two black males – the professor and his driver – trying to force entry.  Prof Gates was still falsely arrested outside his home after providing the officer with identification. As the court records will show I also was arrested and fined in the Calgary Chief of police office cause I had said out loud rightfully you cops are crooked..  In reality too Cops are not the only one who resort to violence when their authority is threatened, so do some bad pastors now too..   as I do also know. …  and we all should by now know the RCMP also do lie.. the actual number of unsolved criminal cases would be a lot higher if the police actually investigated all the citizen report they do receive. I have sat in police stations and watched the police lie and refuse complaints brought to them by the other citizens too… never mind those phoned in.   I think only one of over 5 criminal  complaints about the criminal abuse of me or others was ever reviewed with even, and even that one took months of complaining to the police.. and that was the charge of physical assault of me by  a rogue Pentecostal pastor who punched me , in front of a witness, cause I had refused to go to his church.

At the RCMP too, the thin blue line is alive and well as the Robert Dziekanski case  best still  exemplifies it. this poor, abused  Robert Dziekanski, who died, or rather was murdered,  after a continual Tasering by four RCMP officers in the Vancouver airport in 2007. Next  the evidenced to all perverse RCMP lineup at the inquiry was a study in rehearsed. lying fabrication supported by also perverse senior brass, including a false police-testimony soundtrack completely out of sync with the reality of what was happening, all done  in spite of the evidence of  the famous video of the RCMP Dziekanski takedown. Certainly now without that video of the same  Polish immigrant’s death, any internal RCMP investigation would undoubtedly continued to  have determined to all that this matter again too  was a another justified police response instead of the now much too  obvious case of RCMP incompetence, and overkill. And   despite the undeniable need, logic now of putting all of serious RCMP allegations under independent investigations to ensure, enhance the reliability of real Justice, RCMP  findings and to improve its transparency, the false, perverse  RCMP foot dragging now continues but also not one of the Dziekanski murders, and accomplices have yet been convicted of any criminal wrongdoings as well. Now how much more perverse can this all get now too still all while the also perverse federal justice Ministers sit on their hands and do noting again about it all?

EDMONTON – Alberta is to announce new rules on when police can use conducted energy weapons such as Tasers. Solicitor General Department spokeswoman Michelle Davio says the changes will include setting up tighter boundaries on when Tasers can be used and the need for ongoing testing of the weapons – which deliver an intense electric shock. Davio says the changes expected to be announced later this week by Solicitor General Fred Lindsay will apply to all police in the province, including RCMP. Last week the B.C. government ordered all police in that province to severely restrict the use of the stun guns following the release of the Braidwood Inquiry report. The report, which looked into the death of a Polish man in Vancouver in 2007 after tussling with four RCMP, says that 25 Canadians have died after encounters with Tasers. Saskatchewan’s Police Commission says it is considering the Braidwood report as it completes its own Taser review and will decide this fall whether to change its policies.
CALGARY – Tasers in Alberta will be tested annually under new guidelines released by the provincial government.  Police officers will only be allowed to use the conducted energy weapons under certain circumstances set out by the document. It also says an officer who believes a suspect may cause injury to him or herself or a bystander can use a Taser, but someone who is simply running away isn’t enough of a reason.  A use-of-force report must also be written every time one of the weapons is deployed.  Alberta has been reviewing its Taser policy and also looked at the report into the 2007 death of Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver International Airport after he was repeatedly zapped by a Taser.  The B.C. government responded to the report by ordering all police to restrict the use of stun guns.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090731/national/tasers_police_policy

Aug. 11 — Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, Canada’s biggest pension-fund manager, had an unrealized first-half loss of C$5.7 billion ($5.2 billion) on real estate, wiping out a 5 percent gain by other investments.  The Caisse’s real estate debt holdings declined to C$8.6 billion on June 30 from C$10.8 billion at the end of 2008. The fund lost a record 25 percent in 2008.   The Caisse had unrealized losses of C$2.2 billion on real estate debt, C$1.8 billion on declining values on properties, C$1.3 billion related to private equity and infrastructure, and C$400 million on asset-backed commercial paper. Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec had C$120.1 billion in assets on Dec. 31.  Last year, the Caisse lost $39.8-billion or 25 per cent of its assets, making it among the worst performing pension funds in the country. The pension fund stubbornly refused to release its financial results, despite numerous reports of its losses, and the Caisse’s performance became a hot-issue  in Quebec political circles and the province’s election campaign. No wonder the ex Quebec Liberal finance Minister Monique Forget resigned suddenly and unexpectedly

“The job market is nowhere close to swinging back into the positive and Alberta and B. C. are among the worst,” Canada is seeing many good jobs replaced with costly self-employment part-time work lacking the full time dental, health benefits too and face it these people will pay a lot less federal taxes and dig deeper into their savings,  or  DEBTS.. and you can for sure include  the associated rising health costs, as many person’s health will also worsen by the related job, family stress now too.  Canada lost three times as many jobs as economists expected last month, led by construction and tourism-related businesses, signaling the country’s recovery from a recession may be slow.  No matter what the much too many lying Conservative spin doctors now do try to say to us all I rightfully no longer believe anything automatically that any Canadian  Conservative Cabinet Minister or Conservative member of parliament says, especially when they now do  lie to us and say that they are looking equally, and fairly after all the citizens of Canada, the Canadian persons of all race, nationality, all ages, all sex now too.. We already have ample proof that the Conservative Job creation program has been guilty of false partiality towards Conservative ridings.

Liberals continue to enjoy wide support in Atlantic Canada and Quebec, while the Tories have a commanding lead in the Prairies. The two parties are more or less neck-to-neck in Ontario and British Columbia.

I also do do not believe them rightfully and especially when they say the big recession is ending shortly when these same fools initially would not even firstly admit that Canada was facing a recession now too.. they the Conservatives clearly and simply  cannot be trusted at all based on their poor performances to date. And I would not believe them just as much as I would not believe the much too often lying RCMP, Police Commissions now as well. Canada lost 45000 jobs in July: Statistics Canada

“Prime Minister Stephen Harper attended the recent G8 meetings in L’Aquila, Italy. He spoke with reporters following the meetings and openly admitted he favours a one-world government. He joins many other heads of countries voicing the same slogan and implementing policies to force us in that direction. Oh, to be sure, he tried to pre-qualify the statement, saying each nation would remain sovereign, but arguing there is a need for “global governance,” a nice, soft word meaning one-world government. Wake up, Canada. This is like being just a little bit pregnant — either you are or you are not.  Either we are sovereign or we are not. By the actions of this and former Canadian governments, one can only conclude the latter. Harper, his Conservative government and the rest of the actors in Ottawa continue to commit treason. I call for his immediate resignation.  Harper and almost every other MP, regardless of political party, are facilitating the demise of Canada. Whatever happened to personal integrity?” G.McIntosh Ashcroft   http://www.bclocalnews.com/opinion/51233282.html

Harper, Ignatieff reach deal to avert summer election  OTTAWA – CANADA’S Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff have reached a deal to avert an election – at least until the fall.

Now it is no secret that most of Stephen Harper support comes form Alberta and not at all from central or eastern Canada… and it is no secret that when they were not in power the hypocrtical Conservatives had said elect us into power and we will be different, we will be a better government, but now once elected they repeated most of the bad things the other parties did, such as lying, putting their friends into good paying governmental jobs, discrimination, partiality, giving more money to the Conservative ridings but what is surprising is that the hypocritical Conservative supporters who now are silent on all of this, still falsely approve of their rather non Conservative government and leader Stephen Harper.. who even now still does not have a democratic federal government, a majority government, cause he did not get 51 percent of the votes even..”More important still, the increasingly entrenched notion that Canadian prime ministers, more or less like U.S. presidents, draw their power directly from the people would have been exposed as what it is: A self-serving fraud.” And more LIES AND FRAUD TO STAY IN POWER ARE  MORE CORRUPTIONS.

“Of course, the Harper Conservatives came to power decrying the abuses of previous Liberal governments and promising a new era of openness. But in office Harper has undermined the democratic process in alarming ways. He has imposed a culture of secrecy and virtual one-man rule that makes a mockery of our parliamentary system. This is not what Canadians voted for. Instead of greater transparency, there is opacity. Rather than MPs being empowered, lobbyists are being enriched. In power, the Conservatives promptly made a mockery of Parliament’s committee system by compiling a secret playbook for blocking opposition MPs who might want to examine government operations. Out of a pathological fear of cabinet ministers or public officials going off script, the Harper PMO has also stifled individual ministers and senior bureaucrats. Departments such as Foreign Affairs, once quick to share news with the public, have gone into a deep freeze. ” http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/656851

”MPs, for too long, have used tax money as a means of distributing ingratiating largesse to their “favourites.” The public can’t afford such lax and despotic control over their hard earned taxes any more.” and “Where MPs got the idea they are above submitting details of all their spending of taxpayer money, is unknown. MPs are our servants. It is not for them to tell the taxpayers to go “fly a kite.” It is for the taxpayers to direct the MPs to divulge details of all expenditure of tax monies.”http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/656798

Prime Minister Stephen Harper seems contemptuous at worst and indifferent at best to the role of Parliament. We all need to be Concerned about the federal government’s ability to manage the economy too. The Conservatives have had it wrong from the start when they said there wouldn’t be a recession and that there would be a surplus. Today we have a recession and an ever-increasing $50-billion deficit. A different reality indeed.  The Conservatives  had promised to get money flowing for jobs within 120 days of the budget.  The deadline has come and gone, with not much to show for it.   The Conservatives   had  DONE LITTLE. Instead we’ve lost over 350,000 jobs while infrastructure money from last year’s budget that could have stimulated growth and created jobs  never made it out the door. Adding insult to injury is that their stimulus plan is not working. Their infrastructure program is paralyzed and hundreds of thousands of jobs have been lost. The Conservatives still have no plan to restore fiscal responsibility. Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff blamed the Conservative government for promising to help municipalities and the economy with infrastructure money and then not coming through with it in time to fund most projects for this summer.

Mayors say construction season slipping away with no sign of stimulus cash Thu Jun 4,  WHISTLER, B.C. – Canada’s big city mayors say this summer’s construction season is slipping away with no sign of the economic stimulus cash promised by the federal government.

A trade war between Canada and the United States over “Buy American” policies would hurt both countries, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said Sunday, a day after Canadian municipalities passed a resolution that could shut out U.S. bidders from city contracts. At the annual general meeting of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities narrowly passed a motion on Saturday to bar bids from companies whose countries impose trade restrictions with Canada. Ignatieff said he’s not in favour of retaliatory action to shut American companies out of the multibillion-dollar municipal and provincial procurement market,  “A war over access to procurement at the state and local government level on both sides of the border is bad for Canada and bad for the United States,” said Ignatieff.  AND WHERE IS OUR USELESS PM STEPHEN  HARPER IN ALL OF THIS?

In general in the more  liberal society of Canada both the wife and the children tend to have much more freedom, rights, make their own decisions,  over many other countries , Such as central and eastern Europe, Russia, Asia, Africa  and as a result the culture shock after moving to Canada can be  a very real problem for some new immigrant husbands  where the husband sees his family role as being obeyed, and being the sole head of the home.   Thus  it’s not altogether uncommon for some of the new Canadian immigrant  home situations to become  unacceptably violent when the dominate husband feels his authority is being undermined.  Wife beatings as a result are common, and children who witness it are severely traumatized, can develop both bitterness and hatred. And it tends to make  the home matters worse where the husband now is also an alcoholic on top of all that.   In reality too Cops are not the only one who resort to violence when their authority is threatened, so do some bad pastors now too..

Monday June 15,2009 Canadian Press  VANCOUVER — A judge has decided the inquiry into the death of Robert Dziekanski will be allowed to make findings of misconduct against the four RCMP officers involved. The officers who stunned Dziekanski with a Taser at Vancouver’s airport challenged Commissioner Thomas Braidwood’s authority to make findings of misconduct against them. Braidwood had warned the officers he would consider allegations made at the inquiry — that they acted improperly and then lied to cover up their actions. The officers claimed those allegations amount to criminal offences, which public inquiries can’t do. They also argued that federal police officers are outside the jurisdiction of a provincial inquiry. But Justice Arne Silverman rejected those arguments, which means the inquiry can resume as scheduled this Friday with closing submissions.

What kind of Judicial Banana Republic is the R.C.M.P. hoping for? The finding of Self-serving testimony is sure a nice way of saying perjury. Mother of man shocked by RCMP Taser wants Poland to investigate son’s death Sun May 31, 9:38 PM VANCOUVER, B.C. – If she can’t see justice done in Canada – the mother of a man killed after being shocked by a police Taser wants Poland to dispense justice to  responsible RCMP.

CANADA  WHERE THERE IS A SEPARATE JUSTICE, TAX SYSTEMS FOR THE RICH AND POWERFUL SUCH AS BRIAN MULRONEY, CONRAD BLACK.  INCIDENTALLY THE RCMP CLEARLY FAILED ALSO TO GET ANY OF THESE BAD GUYS TOO.  Now a good name is worth more than silver or gold and these men’s reputation has gone down the drain and their money will not next buy it back too.. they are the laughing stock of many Canadians now and that is life. The RCMP included now. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/04/09/the-mulroney-schreiber-affair/

HEY I ONCE HAD WRITTEN A LONG TIME AGO THAT THE TOO OFTEN SELF CENTERED, PROUD PEOPLE OF ALBERTA DO REALLY NEED TO STOP BASHING THE POOR PEOPLE, AND THOSE ON SOCIAL AID, FOR A DAY WILL COME THAT THEY TOO WILL BE NEEDING SOCIAL AID AND THAT DAY HAS COME..

Here is a basic simple introduction to the context of many of my messages, in Canada there are much too many liars, crooks, cheats, perverts, ungodly persons everywhere, in the church, police stations, in politics,  and elsewhere. There are too many also who are disguised as wolves in sheep clothing, including crooked, dishonest professionals, doctors, lawyers, accountants, business persons, cops, RCMP, pastors, priests as well.. dream on if any of them wrongfully do think I will accept their evil deeds quietly.. Exposure and prosecution of the bad, guilty persons serves everyone’s best interest.  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/05/21/why-many-businesses-fail/

Clearly Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper  is still popular in the West, cause he pretends to be a Westerner, advocating  independence, family, relgious, moral, democratic,  fisical restraint values, and he was supposedly a non Liberal too.

but Harper is despised now  in  Quebec because he clearly seen as just another Anglophone out to get what he can for himself and  who to me would likley rob his own mother to get richer.

You need also to get used to this fact  people lie, and often too, so does our PM stephen Harper, so do  many of the politicians, ministers, civil servants and cops, RCMP  now too as well as you do know.. so do the statistics, polls as well.. and when you read about 10 percent uemploynment presently , 10 percent of reduction in manufacturing in  Canada this year, thus  you  now can easily, safely double those figures and that is how bad the Canadian situation really is too..

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Reuters) – Canada’s Liberal Party, which has been climbing in recent opinion polls, is also regaining its financial footing and the political unity it needs to fight a new election, leader Michael Ignatieff said on Thursday. But Ignatieff added he was still in no rush to force an election so soon after last October’s vote, and told party activists they still had hard work to do to regain the Liberals’ standing as a “national institution” that could elect candidates in all parts of the country..”We have a unified party. We have a party out of debt. And we have a party basically ready to fight an election,” he told reporters in Vancouver at the start of the Liberal’s Party national convention.

Bashing the Americans may get some Canadian  politicians elected or re-elected, for it may appeal to the people who love to hate others, especially any  Americans but the sad truth, reality is that it will not bring more food to the Canadian tables but it will only make matters worse for all Canadians.

little doubt that we remain deep in the heart of the recession, but didn’t our Prime Minister Stephen Harper say not long ago there wasn’t a recession and the Canadian economy was strong?

Every day police officers leave their homes and families and put their lives on the line for a salary, cause this is what they are being paid for, hired for and this does not mean that they are now even free of any negative criticism while they are doing their paid  duties, especially when there are so many outstanding questions regarding their    inappropriate use of authority, force by too many police officers,  plus the unacceptable false  cover ups of their wrong doings and their unacceptable lying now  too.  Plus basically  nothing has even changed in the Vancouver airport customs area since the RCMP’s death of the police immigrant Dziekanski. And there are still concerns about Liberal candidate Kash Heed and his former role as West Vancouver police chief and his unexpected retirement from the force less than two years into his contract, “There’s still a lot of anger about a $40,000 severance payout even though he voluntarily quit in February, leaving many unanswered questions about his status on the force,”  to supposedly avoid legal prosecution too. “The cops have a responsibility to follow moral leadership and let me tell you, the cops do not have that here [in Abbotsford] “NDP candidate for Abbotsford South, Bonnie Rai. These are all valid issues, concerns too.

If what we have been told about the fatal shooting of a Vancouver man by a female police officer is true, it appears front-line cops have learned little from the Robert Dziekanski incident at Vancouver International Airport in 2007.

It is ironic this happened just days before the Braidwood inquiry resumed with testimony from the RCMP officer in charge the night Dziekanski died. There are striking similarities to both incidents.   In both cases, we have a witness who disputes the official police version of what happened. And in both cases, a witness apparently caught the incident on camera. Adam Smolcic claims police seized the cellphone he used to record the fatal shooting. He also alleges that police deleted the video capture. In the Dziekanski incident, Paul Pritchard also had his video camera seized by police, and only got it back after he threatened a lawsuit. (Police say they needed to hang onto it until all other evidence they were looking for was in their possession.) Smolcic is making some pretty serious allegations: that police shot and killed someone who could have been subdued with pepper spray or a baton, and that police then tried to cover their backsides by tampering with evidence.
  00trust2
Abbotsford Police have now been tasked with investigating the shooting. That investigation should also delve into Smolcic’s allegations. Smolcic is reported to be a marijuana activist. In the past, the word of a pot advocate wouldn’t have counted for much when weighed against the word of a police officer. Sadly, it may be easier for the public to believe Smolcic than the police. That’s how badly the Dziekanski incident has shaken the public’s trust in the police. http://www2.canada.com/surreynow/news/viewpoint/story.html?id=64e57161-c603-4208-b83e-b712c4ac1558

“ I noticed that some Americans have two traits. One is gullibility, they believe everything newspapers, radio, and TV news Medias tell them, and some even hold the media more sacred than the Bible and the word of God. Others are incapable of keeping an open mind, or in having the interest to investigate further if what they are being told is true. Secondly, there are some that don’t like to hear the truths. There is that famous Jack Nicholson’s movie line in A Few Good Men, “You don’t want the truths, and you can’t handle the truths!” But maybe, is it because the truth hurts and that’s why some people stick their heads in the sand?” Like so many Canadians now too.. even the evangelical ones..

As I have already posted on the net many times my own direct personal fellowship, undeniable witness in Calgary , Alberta   with key conservative, evangelical pastors , leaders  of the Calgary Christian Center, Bearspaw House of prayer, Calgary First Alliance Church, Salvation, Evangelical free church, Bowness Full Gospel Church, FGBMFI, Don Ross Ministries, and others …, was that many of them did not hesitate to cheat, lie, steal, slander, or to put their family members on the church payroll, or even to abuse  others and they also did  much more bad things. So why would I be surprised if Stephen Harper and his colleagues now are unacceptably not much better?

Canadian “Christians constitute less than half of the proportion of the population that their counterparts represent in the U.S. Even at their best organized, therefore, they could never match the strength of the American Christian Right. Nevertheless, the battles over lesbian/gay rights, particularly from the mid-1980s on, and even more so from the mid-2000s, very much energized the political voices of conservative Christianity – Protestant and Catholic. The capacity of the Christian right to mobilize constituents, largely through the willingness of clerics to encourage followers to contact politicians, has no real parallel in other social movements, and can provide a wave of public response intimidating to politicians of various stripes. The real strength of Christian mobilizing at this time was the capacity and willingness of local church leaders, particularly on the Protestant side, to mobilize a religious flock that met weekly in worship. At the federal and provincial level, they were able to mobilize letters, petitions, phone calls, and personal visits to politicians in unprecedented numbers. These organizations have grown significantly not only in the resources they can marshall for applying political pressure, but also in the sophistication of their approach. In a parliamentary system, they recognize the huge significance of having a government in power that is open to their concerns.  ” and what would that mean now if they were misled by a wolf in sheep clothing such as Harper.. too?

Imagine that now our Canadian Conservative  Prime Minister Stephen Harper who could not foresee, predict the recession, has his own opinion on what had caused it, and why should any of us believe him now too?

Conservative’s one sided  attack on others, by Harper as well are most unfair. Telling the truth about the Conservatives immoral, bad acts is often falsely rejected as being hateful.. but it is not hate when the Conservatives do it???  The “ people who act irresponsibly in the name of freedom are almost never willing to take responsibility for their actions.” - Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who now also should apply this firstly still to himself and his own Conservative party and not merely preach it to others. It absolutely amazes me still as to how Stephen Harper and the Conservatives are so ready to preach about, to see the supposed sins of the Liberals, and yet they cannot firstly see their own sins, when they do the very same thing that they are accusing the liberals, others of doing.. and now why is that?

Note FIRST to the evangelical ostriches who deny back to me  the negative reality, as per the  witness at the Western  Standard blog who had REPORTED in Writing AS WELL ON this event below  sponsered by Preston Manning, and Stephen Harper as the surprise speaker,  some of the people present there were now Getting DRUNK ON ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. This was NO CHRISTIAN, CHURCH GATHERING for sure, but a main political event. How dumb evangelcial Conservatives can believe any of these two guys are now supposedly Christian is beyond me.

“March 13 (Bloomberg) — Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said in a speech yesterday that Wall Street, consumers and homeowners caused the global recession, the National Post reported, without saying where it obtained the text. Harper said the belief that people could live beyond their means led to the recession, the Post said. Harper was speaking in Ottawa at an event organized by the Manning Centre for Building Democracy, an Alberta-based research institute. Harper’s office declined to provide a copy of his remarks when contacted by Bloomberg. ” Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper should look into his own backyard. It was the price gouging oil companies who caused the recession, forced 50 percent of our American consumers, car exports, to stop buying.. because it was too costly to own a car.. so how come he cannot see the truth.. he is in the pocket of the oil companies still too?

I have also  clearly said that to many Conservative party supporters, the professing Christian ones included now  are big  liars, hypocrites, and that is undeniable now as well for decades too especially in the West and elsewhere. Canadian Conservatives loudly they claim they believe in democracy, their  rights, their freedom of speech, their own right to be heard, their right to govern, but they next do too often do rather deny me my own right of free speech, my rebuttal of their lies, my detail post of their immoral acts, on the net and elsewhere openly under some false excuse, and that evidently to all now makes them liars. They also to often tend not to hesitate to abuse me, slander me, bully me, and that makes them perverts too. They really do not care about the truth, other people’s rights but mainly and solely their own it seems for sure.  I too have now learned along time ago that the bad men and bad women like to disguise themselves as good persons too and they like to ,  want to have all the sole rights, the rights to do all the talking as well, and all it takes for these evil persons to continue to prosper is for the good persons to do nothing, well real  life does not work that well, I thus do not mind, do not hesitate to tell the truth, even if they falsely label is hate, vile, and I do not mind to expose the liars, cheats, thieves, con men, imposters and to rightfully demand their persecution and incarceration too, no matter who they they they are, or how important they now do think they are.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff says Ottawa hasn’t been upfront with Canadians when it comes to unemployment and the crumbling economy. “ Prime Minister Stephen Harper is misleading, LYING TO  Canadians on the real scope of the economic recession, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said. Contrary to Harper’s claim Canada is better off than the United States, 300,000 jobs have been lost here since October 2008.  Mr. Harper is telling the country that we are in less worse shape than the Americans. We know, in fact, that for every 10 jobs lost in the United States per capita, 15 are being lost in Canada. Bottom line, Canada is losing jobs faster at the moment than the United States.” Ignatieff added, the Liberals opposition recently discovered the Conservative government had budgeted an additional $3 billion in infrastructure spending in last year’s budget but never got around to spending it. “Who knows what the number of lost construction jobs would have been this month but it would not have been 42,000, I can tell you, it would have been lower,” Ignatieff said. the Liberal leader believes Canada likely wouldn’t have shed as many jobs as it has if the Tories had spent that money. New figures show Canada lost another 82,600 jobs in February, pushing the unemployment rate to 7.7 per cent, its highest level in more than five years. Speaking in Montreal following a meeting with the city’s mayor, Ignatieff said the Conservatives have also failed to “deliver the merchandise” when it comes to municipal infrastructure spending.

Prime Minister Harper’s view that Canada will pull out of a recession faster than other countries  have been greeted with skepticism by many forecasters, who think he may be far too optimistic OR WORSE UNREALISTIC. Although Mr. Harper made it clear that Canada will not turn the corner until the U.S. banking crisis is fixed, he did say “we will come out of this faster than anyone and stronger than ever.” But many economists are leery of the view that Canada will turn around more quickly than the United States. FACTS ARE WHAT IS NEEDED NOT MERE SPINS, FALSE SPECULATIONS..

PS anyone who is naive to say to me from Alberta now too  that a professing Christians do not drink alcohol, get drunk just should read all the letters I often do get from professing Christian pastors acknowledging they drink wine, alcohol and trying to justify it.. I have often written about this too

We can and must uphold biblical values upon all persons like the ten commandments only  but Let me be clear there is no Biblical injunction that a political ruler,  leader must be a Christian, and secondly you cannot force a person to become a Christian, he or she  has to do that  using his own free will, choice, voluntarily submitting to God. Church Pastors need to set exemplary behavior firstly as well.

The other  significance of our pretentious, hypocritical, imposter Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s speech last week to hard-line conservatives was he was revealing his true colours.. his hatred of others included.

last week when Harper delivered a speech to a gathering of true blue conservatives at a fundraising event for the Manning Institute for Democracy, a think tank headed up by Preston Manning, founder of the Reform party.

The press was not given notice of the speech in advance, so it went mostly uncovered, which may explain why the Prime Minister sounded more like the Harper of old. His speech was highly partisan and littered with snide references to the “left-wing fringe groups” and the “liberal left.” Others targeted by the prime minister include:

  • The Senate, the judiciary, and “countless other federal institutions and agencies,” which are filled with “Liberal insiders and ideologues.”
  • The Obama administration in the United States. “Unlike our friends to the south, we are cutting taxes, not raising them.”
  • Wall Street financiers and individual homeowners and consumers, who caused the economic meltdown because they “bought into a very unconservative idea that they could live beyond their means.”
  • The CBC. “We as Conservatives inherit an incredible legacy, (although) you would forget this sometimes listening to the CBC.”
  • Parliament. “I would never use Parliament and reality in the same sentence.” The opposition parties were described as “that toxic coalition brew of Liberals, socialists and separatists.”
  • The United Nations. “Instead of polling the General Assembly of the United Nations, we are taking principled, unequivocal positions.”

Harper also took a stab at defining conservatism. ” “I like to summarize my idea of conservatism in three Fs – freedom, family and faith.. ”

PM Stephen Harper has been accused of abandoning basic Conservative values. I maintain that he and his cabinet never had any, for  they are still sleeping in their stone age caves practicing the survival of the fittest..

A Canadian trapped again….

canadian_passport

“Sounds eerily similar to the case of Abousfian Abdelrazik, who was stranded in Sudan. Better be extra careful if you want to leave the country… They might not let you back in!”

Canadian needed DNA test before returning from Kenya

Ottawa dragging feet on repatriating Canadian

The lawyer for a Canadian woman stranded in Kenya said he will file a motion in Federal Court on Tuesday, asking the federal government to issue an emergency passport so she can return home after a DNA test confirmed her identity.  Kenyan immigration officials said her facial features looked the same, but her lips looked different than those of the person in the passport photo, according to a document from Kenyan authorities. Canadian officials in Kenya confiscated her passport and concluded she was an impostor. The Canadian government later wrote to the Kenyan government informing officials there that it had done a thorough investigation and determined her to be an imposter and recommended that she be prosecuted. Kenyan officials charged her with identity fraud, and Mohamud’s court case began in May but was put on hold pending the DNA test, Boulakia said.  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/08/10/kenya-canadian-dna.html?ref=rss&loomia_si=t0:a16:g2:r4:c0.0890762:b27086318

Neither the Canadian  minister  of public safety Peter Van Loan nor Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon, who has responsibility for managing all consular cases involving Canadians in need of help abroad, have commented on the case since Mohamud’s identity was confirmed through a DNA test that showed she was a 99.99% match with her son. PM Stephen Harper lately only is   asking  for a full accounting of the  actions in this case  for review.   But…why did it take Harper so long? ” If his ministers actually cared they would have been doing something sooner and not saying it’s a “matter for the courts” and he would have opened his hypocritical mouth two months ago.”  “  MINISTRIAL ACCOUNTABILITY. This means, that when somebody screws up in a given department, its the ELECTED MINISTER OF THE CROWN that takes full responsibility. The Minister is accountable to the public, NOT a low level employee. Do we blame the  Assembly Line Workers for GM’s mess? NO. We blame the CEO. Its the samething in Government.”

Mohamud, a Somali-Canadian, was branded an impostor by staff of the Canadian High Commission in Kenya because she did not resemble her passport photograph.  Yesterday at the Canadian high commission office, Canadian consular officials continued to treat Mohamud with indifference, a friend who drove her there said. When Mohamud asked if Canada might help her retrieve her luggage, seized when she was unable to pay her room bill while trying to prove her identity, consular officials refused, the friend said.   The case highlights the often-puzzling approach the Conservative government takes when deciding which citizens imprisoned or stranded in foreign countries are entitled to high-level help.  Trade Minister Stockwell Day, for instance, requested clemency this summer for a 24-year-old Canadian sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia, but the government abandoned a convicted killer from Alberta sitting on death row in Montana.  For the few Canadians who do get Ottawa’s help,  dozens of pleas go unanswered, say advocates and lawyers for citizens who get into tight situations abroad. “What I find most disturbing is that Canadians are possibly being judged in absentia by an Orwellian jury comprised of the Canadian cabinet,” said Dan McTeague, the Liberal MP for Pickering-Scarborough East who was tasked with handling cases of citizens in need of help abroad under prime minister Paul Martin.   The trend of picking which Canadians get access to help and which don’t has put the government on a collision course with courts.  http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/680809

Emergency travel documents are being readied for a Canadian woman whose DNA test has proven she is not an imposter and should not have been stranded in Kenya for months.  Mohamud, 31, hasn’t been allowed to return to Toronto since mid-May when she tried to leave Nairobi following a two-week visit with her mother. In an interview with CBC News on Tuesday, she said she is angry at the Canadian government for the way it handled her case. “My Canadian High Commission told me that I’m an imposter,” Mohamud said. “They wouldn’t believe me. “Of course I’m mad at them.”  Mohamud’s ordeal began when Kenyan immigration officials said her facial features looked the same, but her lips looked different than those of the person in the four-year-old Canadian passport photo, according to a document from Kenyan authorities.  The High Commission of Canada in Nairobi confiscated and voided her passport, told Kenyan government officials a thorough investigation determined Mohamud was an imposter and recommended that she be prosecuted.  Mohamud, who was born in Somalia, has said that she lost a lot of weight in the four years since her passport photo was taken. She showed the Kenyans other pieces of Canadian identification and offered to be fingerprinted. But she was charged with identity fraud and spent eight days in jail before she was released on bail.  Mohamud alleges she was being pushed to offer bribe money to be allowed to get on the plane to return home and she refused to pay.  Mohamud’s lawyer, Raoul Boulakia, said the federal government should review how Canadian diplomatic missions behave when citizens go to them for help. “I’d hate to be stuck in some country and call my embassy for help and get a reaction like this,” he said. Boulakia said his client is an example of a disturbing trend, that of Canadians who are stranded overseas with no support from Ottawa.

”Well, it seems like that this government sees some Canadian citizens as second-class citizens,” he said. “They seem to treat it almost as if, ‘You deserve whatever happened to you and why should we be helping you?’” “I don’t think I would be travelling outside of Canada if I were a person of a visible minority. Harper and his minions of “other” haters just might leave you outside. The proof is very plain to see. Beware and be careful, the Canada we once knew no longer exists.” “What a disaster. I can’t imagine how furious I’d be in her shoes.”

“This woman was not in any trouble whatsoever until the officials for the CANADIAN airline, and then the CANADIAN consular officials, swore up and down and declared unequivocally to the police that they could prove she was not a Canadian. Except, obviously, that was all a CANADIAN lie.  She didn’t do anything wrong except travel on a legal CANADIAN passport. It’s no different from being thrown in jail in Alberta for six months for driving without a permit because the police there don’t like the photo on your Manitoba license. Except, of course, Alberta police would never do that to a white person.  Come to think of it, maybe this woman *did* do something wrong: She moved to Canada thinking this country’s government was not bigoted.”

” The conduct of the government in this case has been incomprehensible. The government has been completely disinterested in helping a Canadian citizen who has done nothing wrong. Not only that, they worked against her and put her in harm’s way. Had she been a middle class white man or woman, would they have had the same cavalier attitude?”

” God forbid Harper ever wins a majority – the peaceful and fair Canada that we once knew is disappearing for good under Harper’s CONservative agenda.”
“Fact: She’s a Canadian citizen who was treated like crap by our foreign service… the CBSA and the Foreign Affairs department.   Opinion: She would not have been treated like this if (a) we didn’t have troglodytes like Harper in charge of things or (b) she’d been white.”

” Interesting how Harper is suddenly “concerned”, after she has had the DNA test, and there’s no ethical way to just leave her there.  What astounds me is that her passport was CANCELLED by the Canadian government, as soon as they got word that she was an impostor. So – shouldn’t they have had a look at the passport, and check it against missing passports? How can they just cancel a passport? It is a lifeline, the most valuable thing you own.  And – I don’t believe a word that comes out of Harper’s mouth, or his office’s mouth. Or any of the Reformatories. “

” Read the other article folks there is an autistic Canadian guy who has been down there stranded for 3 years because they think his ears look different …sounds like shakedown time in Kenya and the Canadian employees there are in the soup with them. How is this possible and no one fired , no one suspended , zippo…Harper get off your ..” http://www.vancouversun.com/health/Foreign+Affairs+defends+diplomat+Kenya+debacle/1910076/story.html

There clearly has been unacceptably a lot more than just an escalation of abandoned Canadians abroad by our foreign affairs department since the Conservatives and PM Stephen Harper have come into power.

I had already next complained in writing to all about 20 years ago even that Canada’s Immigration refugee system was seriously broken, and basically it was cause as I had experienced, witnessed  firsthand, that the lazy, good for nothing government civil and public servants, subordinates there now  merely had pretended to show up at work, and they mostly did not do any serious work through out the day next as well. The managers and the mostly all bad employees should have already now been fired decades ago even. So why did it take you Jason Kenney MP so long to find any of that out now and to next even do something good about it  when your own Conservative government has been now in powers for years too.

McGuinty hammers Ottawa for ignoring stranded woman “Something is fundamentally wrong when we can’t count on the Canadian government to stand up for Canadians – I’m not sure I can put it any more directly than that, “Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty. Now the  People who live in glass houses need to be reminded still not to throw rocks at others, and to practice firstly what they preach unto others, for I would rather see a sermon firstly actually practiced instead of merely lip serviced.  The premier of Ontario himself  does not stand up for all Canadians now for sure too… nor for all of the people of Ontario for that matter.. or he would not let the crooked quota Ontario police, cops now and many others, such as eHealth consultants  also to fleece his flock too.

“To all the people that have suggested that she’s at fault for not having her documents updated since she lost a fair bit of weight, have you considered that she had to show these same documents to get on the plane to get out of the Canada in the first place, in order to get over to Africa? If these documents were suitable at that time, why aren’t they suitable on the return? Come on folks, let’s try to be sensible here. She did nothing wrong.”

Stranded woman awaits dismissal of charges Toronto Star -  Missing her son, her home Still trapped in Kenya, Canadian Suaad Hagi Mohamud simply wants to get home and see her son. The Star’s Michelle Shephard obtained an exclusive – and emotional – interview in person in Nairobi.

Key Canadian minister goes M.I.A. as anger grows, If you are a citizen in trouble in a strange land, you look to Lawrence Cannon.  But actually finding the foreign minister, the man responsible for Canadians abroad, is another matter. Lawrence Cannon, charged with aiding Canadians abroad, is ‘unavailable’ as Kenyan saga drags on.  Canada’s fourth foreign minister since 2006 isn’t on vacation. He’s hard at work. A review of his agenda for the last week, as it became clear that Mohamud had been wrongfully denied the assistance that comes with her citizenship, suggests Cannon’s priorities just lie elsewhere. There was no word from Cannon on the need to get Mohamud home quickly and to right the wrongs done by Canadian officials.” Unfortunately, minister Cannon is not available for an interview,” said spokeswoman Natalie Sarafian.  An interview request sent yesterday to the minister’s office was turned down. Calls to two of his three constituency offices yielded no clues as to his whereabouts. http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/681193

Hidden Municipal Provincial Police taxes

Perverse cops , Canada has loads of them  0REVENUES

I am only following orders is not a valid response for anyone, any  cop now too… then maybe they should quit this bad job.. while the truth is that in most communities, the bulk of the ticket fees do go to the   general funds while next a  portion is also sent to the city or county who wrote the ticket. Still, it is  your  bad police force that does writes thousands of tickets a month and that income can quickly add up to millions of dollars and be very beneficial to the bad governments especially in these sour economical times as well, and also  as lead for more  raises, promotional for  these bad, abusive  cops now too..   It’s really still a perverse  form of generating revenue without spending much additional money to get that much wanted additional income even if they now also are taking it also now from the unemployed, disabled, very poor drivers. Bad judges , bad lawyers, bad politicians too are part of these traffic revenue corruptions now too.

Liars, pretenders claiming to serve the public best interests including the Albertan Sheriffs nab scores of drivers FOR SPEEDING GENERATING VAST REVENUES.  Police like to project the lie that speeding is unsafe driving.. and is the main reasons for car deaths, accidents, even though speeding is not the major cause of car accidents in Alberta , or in Canada, Rather 45 percent of accidents, realted deaths  are caused by drunk, impaired drivers that the police fail adequately to deal with as the police own statistics do show this too . Distracted drivers, bad drivers, road rage also cause more road accidents over speeding.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/04/24/research-on-real-world-behavior-crash-factors/

Now as I was reflecting about my many past posts on the net  in the last few years I was really saddened to note that too many of them were about bad , greedy people trying to steal , trying to get other people’s money for themselves, stealing the money, or getting  it under false pretences. The love of more money is still the basis of what many of the wrong doings is, was all about..(Eccl 8:11 KJV)  Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

NOT EVERYONE HAS A HIGH REGARD FOR THE CLERGY, POLICE, RCMP IN CANADA,   Hidden agendas, the world is full of it, many people have hidden agendas, Pastors,, Ministers, politicians, cops  too. Sadly some people they tend  present their own “facts,” but fall short in truthfulness  for they tend to falsely  have a hidden agenda, and often they want to be falsely personally worshipped and live in sin too.  Is 2:22 Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth? Crooked politicians sleeping with crooked cops.. not funny!

Facts: 45 percent of car accidents are caused by drunk driver compared to speeding which is less then 15 percent.. but too often alcoholic themselves cops and civil, public servants, politicians so they do not want to enforce the drunk driving laws..

Anyone reading this site knows I really also do not put up and rightfully so.. with  the acts of the too often bad, crooked cops, RCMP included who wrongfully, clearly abuse their jobs, positions, authorities that includes all the cops in Alberta, Ontario, BC, and elsewhere who claim they are serving the public good when they clearly are generating revenue  to keep their own jobs, and hopefully get a promotion, raise. This applies still to the OPP, RCMP, Alberta Sheriffs, Calgary , Edomonton Police,  now as well who lie and like to mislead you that most of the traffic deaths are caused by speeding, when the reality is far from this.. speeding is the least cause of car accidents, rather impaired, drunken drivers, road rage and distracted drivers are..  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/05/19/albertan-sheriffs-generate-a-vast-revenue/

Traffic enforcement edict paying dividends CBC.ca Revenue from traffic tickets has dropped 70 per cent this year compared to 2008, said the chief. Use of turn signals seems to be a lost art in Winnipeg. The Police could write hundreds of tickets a day…even to themselves!

Winnipeg Free Press  Police Chief Keith McCaskill seems to be spinning this as a public safety and human resources issue, as much as what it really is: a revenue shortfall crisis. In another memo an inspector reportedly states that money generated from traffic tickets is counted on as a source of cash by the city. Police that they have better things to do than nab speeders and grab their cash. Especially at a time when the police are also facing a frightening street-gang problem. Winnipeg is a city with serious street-gang problem — where an innocent woman can be shot and killed at a weekend wedding — and now police are being told to crack down on driving offences. “Today, I saw an officer make a lane change without signaling. Should I have written him a ticket?” Traffic tickets are costly “the police officer gets paid overtime if he or she goes on a day off. If they are at work then they aren’t out answering emergency calls because they are waiting for you to make some bogus plea in court. On top of that, the Crown, judge and clerks all get paid. So in reality, it’s not saving taxpayers money.” “Firstly, what short cash, I thought the red light and radar cameras that everyone was complaining about recently more than made up for shortfall. Secondly, between the potholes, road construction and lack of bike lanes where in the devil do you tall foreheads expect the police towrite the tickets? You do not need a cop with a gun and a seventy thousand dollar salary to bother people about seatbelts or loose license plates. GET RID OF THIS PARA MILITARY ORGANIZATION” The issue is unavoidably linked with the controversy surrounding photo radar, specifically the belief that the inanimate system isn’t really about safety, but cold, hard cash instead. The only real link between the two matters, however, is the fact that traffic enforcement by police has declined with the rise of the machine.

Winnipeg police defend traffic ticket boost CTV.ca -  Winnipeg’s police chief says he has ordered local officers to write more traffic tickets, and has defended the decision by arguing it has more to do with safety than bringing in revenue for the city. Chief Keith McCaskill admitted that he had made the order to increase traffic tickets in a memo that was sent out to all officers in the force.  He said value of tickets issued to drivers by the police force, for common infractions like speeding, is down by more than two-thirds so far this year from 2008. “Is this a budget issue? Of course it is,” he said. News of the orders has sparked suspicion that the police force is trying to raise more money for the city’s budget by boosting the number of Highway Traffic Act Offenses it issues fines for.

Winnipeg police officers have apparently been told to issue at least one traffic ticket per shift, or face penalties if they do not meet that quota.

Revenue generating speeding, traffic, parking tickets are also the main focus of the Alberta government and police in spite the fact most accidents, deaths  are caused by impaired drivers still too. BONNYVILLE, Alta. – Alberta needs tougher drunk-driving laws to cut down on fatal accidents on the province’s highways, says an official with Mothers Against Drunk Driving.  “Alberta has refused to move on very strategic legislative initiatives that most of the other provinces have moved on,” Andrew Murie, chief executive of the agency, said Friday.  He recently met with the province’s solicitor general, but said there seems to be little appetite in Alberta to adopt stricter measures.  Impaired driving is being investigated by police as a possible factor in two collisions this week that killed several family members.  In the latest crash late Thursday night, a man, his common-law wife and her two daughters died when their car collided head-on with a pickup truck on a rural highway in northeastern Alberta.  Ivan Charles Paul, 51; Frances (Stella) Yvonne Gadwa, 35; Alexis Josephine Gadwa, 15; and Sarah Margaret Gadwa, 14, were all from the Kehewin Cree Nation near Bonnyville.  The pickup’s driver, a 42-year-old man from Bonnyville, was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.  Another collision in southern Alberta earlier this week killed five people, including a man and his three young children. The truck they were in collided with a backhoe and both vehicles rolled into the ditch. The truck was filled with beer cans.  Murie said Alberta needs to combine public awareness campaigns with stricter laws to crack down on drinking and driving.  Some provinces such as Ontario and Prince Edward Island give lengthy roadside suspensions for drivers who blow more than .05, even though under the Criminal Code the legal limit is .08, Murie said.  “What happens is, you lose your licence, and, it depends on which province, (it’s) a minimum of three days up to seven days, right on the spot. There’s no criminal proceedings with it.”  “They have made incredible inroads … it makes the public much more accountable before they get behind the wheel of the car when they’ve been drinking.”  Drivers who’ve received their first impaired driving conviction in Alberta should be required to have special equipment in their vehicle, which doesn’t allow the ignition to work if they don’t pass a breathalyzer attached to the car, Murie said.  Those regulations in British Columbia have saved lives, Murie said.  “Right now in Alberta, it’s not mandatory until you’ve been charged twice. Why do you get a free ride when you have technology that stops people from drinking and driving?”  No one from the Alberta government could immediately be reached for comment.  According to figures from Mothers Against Drunk Driving, of the more than 3,000 people killed in collisions across Canada in 2006, at least 1,278 involved impaired driving.  According to statistics compiled by RCMP in Alberta, there have been 28 fatal collisions so far this month – with 13 deaths in just the past few days alone.  Fifteen of those collisions may have involved drugs or alcohol.  The number of impaired driving-related collisions has stayed steady for the last few years in Alberta, something that is of concern for Insp. James Stiles, the officer in charge of traffic services for the RCMP. “Over 400 people are killed on Alberta’s highways every year for a variety of causes. But a significant contributing factor to that is people who continue to drink and drive and put everyone at risk on the highways, including themselves,” he said.  Police and community agencies have hammered home the anti-drinking and driving message so Stiles isn’t sure why the number of impaired driving-related collisions isn’t dropping.  Alcohol is a contributing factor in 26 per cent of fatal collisions in Alberta, Stiles noted.  “They’re not just numbers, those are families that are affected forever. In some cases we have seen virtually immediate families almost wiped out in one collision,” he said.  Louise Knox, 42, of Spruce Grove, Alta., knows what it’s like to have her world shattered by a drunk driver. In fact, it’s happened to her family three times.  In 1999, her son Mike was killed in a head-on collision with a drunk driver near St. Paul, Alta., northeast of Edmonton.  In 2007, her youngest son Eric, who was just 17 at the time, was in a vehicle being driven by a drunk driver. The vehicle rolled, killing a young man who was a passenger. Earlier this year, the driver received a four-year jail sentence after being convicted of impaired driving causing death but will be eligible for parole in September.  That same year, Knox was sitting at a stoplight in Edmonton when her vehicle and several others were sideswiped by an impaired driver, who then fled. Several of the drivers, including Knox, followed him until police could apprehend him. The driver was sentenced to a one-year jail term. She said her heart goes out to the families in Alberta who’ve lost so many loved ones in collisions this week – collisions that were completely preventable, in her opinion. Drunk drivers are staying behind the wheel because they’re not taking responsibility for their behaviour and not being caught, despite the best efforts of police, Knox said.  “It’s like Russian roulette. One of these times you’re going to get caught. Hopefully it’s a police officer that’s pulled you over, it’s not because you’ve crashed into somebody,” she said.   http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090724/national/family_collision

Firstly the police Officers must enforce all laws fairly and equally law, not quotas. The public does   need to fear unfair enforcement, and all  officers still have a duty to apply discretion and good judgment in enforcing all of the laws. Winnipeg’s police officers have been told to issue more traffic tickets, in part to increase revenue and  the move could hurt their efforts to curb the city’s gang violence.  What about the Police also now rightfully firstly go after the drunk drivers who cause more accidents significantly over the speeders?  The Traffic tickets do not reflect this. In 1999, police arrested 1,200 people for impaired driving and issued 50,000 tickets for a variety of Highway Traffic offences; by 2007, the numbers had dropped dramatically, just 500 charges for impaired driving and 24,000 traffic violations. And also the sight of any police officer ignoring his own  blatant road offence merely encourages disrespect for the law and the police, which is not in anyone’s interest. Hypocrite -  a person who insists on strict adherence to all of the formal rules or imposing a literal law meaning at the expense of a wider, fairer view.

Dirty Canadian cops, dirty Pastors, dirty  Cabinet Ministers are all fair discussions, topics for me too.. Any kind of professional abuse of the citizens is also unacceptable.. Any kind!!!

I DO NOT HIDE THAT MOST COPS TOO READILY LIE, ABUSE OTHERS IT SEEMS.. RCMP INCLUDED. MANY LAWYERS LIE AND WHEN THEY NEXT BECOME JUSTICE MINISTERS THEY CONTINUE TO LIE, ARE IN REALITY POOR, GENERALLY PRETENTIOUS MINISTERS AND CANADA WIDE TOO NOW. NOW THE BC JUSTICE MINISTER CLAIMED HE WAS LOOKING INTO THE  JUSTICE MATTERS HAD TO NEXT RESIGN HIMSELF CAUSE HE BROKE THE LAW TOO MANY TIMES HIMSELF. BC Public Safety Minister John van Dongen’s driver’s licence has been suspended for speeding.

The police Canada wide now also would like you to believe that less people are getting caught for drunk driving now as well,  even though the number of people getting drunk, becoming impaired is increasing each year too, but the accuracy of the police report now itself depends on whether the police do even bother to try to catch  the drunk drivers  or where they still  they are too busy writing the traffic tickets for speeding. even though speeding still is not a major cause of car accidents to start of with too.

In reality the too often self serving, money hungry, promotional and empire oriented police, and their superiors, bad justice ministers, bad politicians  really do not care about the citizens good welfare but only their own.. ANOTHER CASH GRAB.. The Calgary Parking Authority is expanding its hold on the inner city by starting to charge for parking on more than 20 blocks of the Beltline.  CALGARY AND EDMONTON POLICE ISSUE MORE TRAFFIC TICKETS OVER ANY OTHER CITIES  IN CANADA AND  FOR DECADES NOW TOO!  Alberta’s TOO MANY crooked cops, RCMP included.. A blatant false  tax on the motorist – Speeding tickets.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/09/16/call-it-what-you-want-but-it-is-not-about-safety/

It seems that 70 percent of the adults drink alcohol in Canada too but 100  percent of them claim to be non alcoholics? civil and public servants included, and where do all of the many drunk  drivers, alcoholics  come from now too? For the civil and public servants all you have to do is look at their expenses accounts, see how much they charged us for booze and that will quickly show us all whether they really are alcoholics or not for a start.  Few alcoholics will admit they are alcoholics just as few persons will admit they practice tax evasion as well. Drunk drivers still cause most of the car accidents but the police prefer to go after speeding tickets, it is easier to to get the speeders.. and very profitable, sadly it also ties up our courts with the mostly unnecessary cases too. If you drink 2 martinis at lunch time or supper time  for a start  you are definitely an alcoholic.. andf if you are an alcoholic you should be fired from your job as well.  Drinking alcohol cause permanent brain damage, it also causes a significant deterioration of one’s mental capabilities, deterioration of one’s inter personal relationship skills, it also causes more car accidents than speeding or not having adequate winter tires, it also reduces significantly one’s work productivity as well undeniably too.

Now we know that more people have accident due to road rage, impaired driving, driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol  over speeding too and we still do need to review how much time and resources do the police deal with that firstly? “   http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/10/11/albertas-crooked-cops-rcmp-included/

Here is what I found amazing and worth while examining now  in much more detail.. insurance companies in Canada do not mind gouging Canadian consumers in their greed to make more profits..  and we all know that accumulating speeding , traffic infractions, will cause your car insurance costs to go up significantly…   and yet here is what I find surprising, neither the insurance companies, the provincial government, nor the federal government, the police have real, valid detailed statistics on the causes of traffic accidents: such as how many were caused my alcoholic drivers, how many were caused by speeding, how many were caused by poor road conditions, lousy snow clearing as well, etc not even in Ontario, Alberta, Quebec, BC as well.. …. so what do the insurance companies do with all the extra money they collect, certainly they of all persons should have firstly the best statistics on traffic accidents now in the first place, or how do they determine their rates??? Even Canada’s police chiefs have to rely on accident statistics from other countries, such as Australia, Great Britain, the US..

This year’s bloody summer on Alberta roads could go down as among the deadliest on record.   This summer, dozens of people have been killed and badly injured in a series of horrific crashes throughout the province. And last month in Alberta, Mounties said they were investigating alcohol or drugs in a factor in 15 of the 28 fatal crashes recorded in the province.  “But certainly it looks like 2009 might go on record as more serious injuries or fatalities, which really concerns us. ” “Based on this summer, it seems like more people are driving impaired.”  AMA spokesman Don Szarko.  “Driver error was a factor in 90% of the 158,055 crashes last YEAR. But this year things aren’t looking as promising.  ” Driver error was a major factor, or was it really basically drunk driving, or next even speeding? Kinda of confusing now  isn’t it..

The RCMP was, is falsely  millions of dollars money making pit catching tourists leaving Banff Park .  The RCMP Public complaints Commission in Calgary next wrongfully did very little good in regard to this my specific complaint. Do see the Canmore Alberta Queen’s court transcripts for the details now too. I am not ashamed of the whole  truth.   Did I also tell you that the poor  manager of purchasing the computers at the Montreal CBC that I met firsthand too was an ex RCMP officer himself who also had a relative working for the bad RCMP in Canmore Alberta? I got three tickets in a row from the same Traffic cop in Calgary, note in reality abusive and bad quota cop, and I next went to the Calgary’s mayor Al Duerr’s office to rightfully object, and I face to face  told the mayor’s secretary I was going also next across the street to the Calgary Police chief to complain about it too. I walked into the police office and told the secretary I want to see the chief of police and I said you “cops are crooked? A sergeant asked me to leave or he would have me arrested. I told him I was not going to leave till I talked to the Police chief so the sergeant had me arrested for talking out loud in a public place. The same sergeant that was the liaison officer at the Calgary Multicultural center, the one I as a patron member of the Calgary Multicultural center had complained to him face to face at the center to previously how racial abusive the Calgary cops were just a few months ago. When the officer had arrested me I told him I knew him and  who I was and then he recognized me and he said to the other police men present that they had made a mistake and to let me go.. I was next allowed to leave the jail by the back door into the rear lane exit but the Police charges against me wrongfully were not dropped. And if that was how they treated me how do you think they treat any others? just as bad. In court next the Police security present next testified that she new me, that this was not the first time I was complaining about bad Calgary cops. The judge admitted that my right of free speech was being clearly violated but I was still guilty and I was fined $250.00 which I paid under duress. You can see this for yourself in the Calgary Court records if they have not hid it or lost it again..

Now   as if you all did not know that already that the Local and the national police cannot be respected to do a decent inquiry into the alleged wrong doings of any police officers, cause we can seem all to know that the accused police do not hesitate to lie, to cover-up the reality… now self regulation  of the police force, is just useless self masturbation always it seems, thus we need independent  reviews of all police complaints for all of the police forces too in Canada, with real negative consequences on the guilty persons now too and it is  as simple as that   The truth, real acts, real facts speak louder than the too often, false, cheap words now too still. Police unions, Police Public relationships departments now too  would have us all believe that the police is supposedly now aggressively tackling crime, criminals, injustice in Canada. Even a according to the RCMP Public relationship propaganda department too,  because if they the RCMP now did not write a report about it,  it all now still would not be obvious to most people who wonder what the cops are even doing now most of the time, besides giving out money generating traffic traffic tickets,  the report does not  indicate the number of  bad people actually successfully prosecuted each year for the millions of dollars already spend on the related police man-hours now too? nor  does the same RCMP report indicate the cost of the useless police enforcement per year in comparison now to the actual successful prosecutions?

Now how much more perverse can this all get now too still all while the also perverse federal justice Ministers sit on their hands and do nothing again about it all?

The RCMP should be out of politics, out of Cabinet, accountable to civilian oversight, and investigated by other forces, perhaps international forces arranged by treaty. Failing that, this anachronistic institution should be mothballed or sold to Disney Corp . http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2009/08/12/don-martin-at-the-rcmp-the-thin-blue-line-is-alive-and-well.aspx

Self regulation of all organizations, personnel tends to be mostly still just immoral masturbation.. lawyers, pastors, doctors and nurses included. Public exposure and real prosecutions of the really guilty persons does work better.  The ongoing lessons of life even in Canada will be and are these: One cannot abuse others and get away with it forever. Laws, government institutions now are made for the good of all persons  too. Also if all of the evil persons, politicians included, are not also punished, made to face negative personal consequences themselves they really will not next stop their wrong doings. (Eph 4:28 KJV)  Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. (1 Cor 11:31 KJV)  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

Almost since my first job after graduating from university I had learned that people are not to be trusted, need to be supervised, and corruption still exists in construction, universities, municipalities, governments, corporations, amongst professionals and politicians as well.

As a person who has regularly followed the related news stores, issues in regard to drunk driving, speeding, accidents, AND DRIVER ERROR in Canada  it IS VERY CLEAR TO ME THAT THE NEWS MEDIA and the bad police SPIN VARIES FROM DAY TODAY AND CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AS BEING ANYTHING CLOSE TO THE TRUTH. Not even in Alberta or elsehwere.. Sad we cannot believe much of what we read, hear now these days still..

JOHN BAIRD’S MANURE PILE

Many many years ago I had clearly written that all Canadians are more concerned about what the government is doing now  to assist, help them Canada wide, fairly and equally now too, in their daily lives while the federal and provincial politicians clearly are concerned about getting more power for themselves, empire building. As long as the politicians continue to have this wrong priority there will continue to be minority governments.

Canadians concerns include Swine flu pandemic preparedness, Food and Meat inspections, Water Quality, EI overhaul, Uniform EI standards Canada wide, Recession, Job creation programs, Health care improvements, Pension funds, Canadian Trade export restrictions, and clean energy, pollution control, for most Canadians want Alberta’s tar oil sands production cut and clean-energy replacements approach instead.

Central monitoring of infrastructure spending not feds’ role: Baird Wed Jul 29, 6:42 PM  OTTAWA – It’s not up to the federal government to closely monitor how money intended for road, sewer and other projects is actually spent, suggests the federal minister in charge of infrastructure. The government’s main role in distributing the nearly $12 billion in cash it announced in the 2009 budget is to make sure the money gets out the door, says Transport Minister John Baird.” It’s not big government’s role and Ottawa to centrally manage everything,” Baird said when asked how his department is monitoring spending. “This is what gives government a bad name, when the government just sort of tries to wash its hands and say well, the other levels of government will look after this,” said Liberal critic Gerard Kennedy. “(Baird) made all the decisions about which projects should get funded, so … he can’t just foist them on municipalities and provinces and not take responsibility for ensuring money is well spent.”

UNDER THE LIBERALS WHEN THE TAXPAYER MONIES WAS ABUSED THE CONSERVATIVES READILY HAD HELD THE LIBERALS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE  AND HAD BEEN ELECTED ON CONSERVATIVE RESPONSIBILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY BUT NOW THE SHOE IS ON THE OTHER FOOT THE CONSERVATIVES FALSELY WHISTLE ANOTHER TUNE..

Conservative cabinet ministers aren’t all singing from the same songbook when it comes to the recession.  Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said Tuesday he’s not ready to declare the recession over, as the governor of the Bank of Canada did last week. But Trade Minister Stockwell Day supported the bank’s analysis in a newspaper column Monday. “I’m not kidding. The recession is over,” Day wrote in the Penticton Western News on Monday. Reporters next had asked Day about his comments as he emerged from a caucus meeting Wednesday. He now did not repeat his assertion that the recession is over. LIAR ,  LIAR, LIAR Trade Minister Stockwell Day HAS NOT YET EVEN OPENED UP THE US BORDER STILL TO EASY TRADE ACCESS AS WELL..

“It’s not just unemployment insurance, there’s a lot of areas where the government is not doing a good job and they need to do better,” Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff  said.

Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff NOW HAS turned hawkish on Wednesday and gave every indication that he wants to bring down the Harper government in the fall. The Liberal Leader did not say whether he would move a non-confidence motion when Parliament reconvenes in September, but he said it was “not an unreasonable extrapolation.” The comments were a clear departure from Mr. Ignatieff’s position a month ago when he made a deal with Prime Minister Stephen Harper to avoid a summer election. But there are signals that Mr. Ignatieff has heard the concerns of Liberal members who are tired of propping up, ensuring the survival of the Conservative government.  The Liberals will get an opposition day in the House of Commons in late September, at which point they will be able to put a non-confidence motion to a vote. The Liberals have been complaining for months about the Harper government’s handling of the stimulus package, the rising deficits , the medical isotope crisis , EI reform.  Statistics Canada reported that the number of people receiving EI benefits climbed sharply in May, up 9.2 per cent from April and the highest since the federal agency began collecting such statistics in 1997. Some 778,700 people received benefits under the EI program in May, up by 65,600 from a month earlier. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/liberal-leader-toughens-line/article1235216/

Almost since my first job after graduating from university I had learned that people are not to be trusted, need to be supervised, and corruption still exists in construction, universities, municipalities, governments, corporations, amongst professionals and politicians as well.

Here still  is what I cannot understand about the federal job creation programs carried out under both the liberal and conservative governments, is the necessity it seems to give money firstly to the municipalities, as though they have a direct effect on voters.. Nothing can be farther from the truth for  neither the police themselves, nor the municipalities have a significant vote as to how the citizens will vote on election days. The only group  that can likely have any effect on the voters are pastors, and priests in fact.

Here is what I know for sure in Canada proper policing, management ,  supervision  human rights commissions are a real fact of life, society, in schools, life,  in churches, governments, commerce, institutions, civil and public services, professional services too,  and elsewhere, even on the net,  for you will always have those 30 percent at least of the persons who will try to cheat, lie  , steal, bend the rules, falsely believe they are above the laws, Self  regulation alone is too often pretentious, farcical, often not applied as well. That applies especially to the professionals, civil and public services, police, municipalities, politicians now as well..

Will Stephen Harper also now really tackle white-collar crime?   Canada’s unacceptable shortcomings in the prosecution of white-collar criminals.  Not surprisingly the RCMP commercial crime investigators and prosecutors and pretentious persons, incumbent, lazy no good persons too often it seems as well as I too have now found out firsthand.. But that is they way the RCMP generally is these days it seems.. Thus explains the reason some of Canada’s most notorious white-collar gangsters–including Conrad Black, David Radler, Alan Eagleson, Martin Chambers, and Garth Drabinsky–were all charged in the United States.  Sometimes, conservatively minded politicians, lawyers, and white-collar criminals all attend the same cocktail parties and political fundraisers. Next the government leaders merely do Pretend that they still care and are doing something  by proposing self regulation.. How still very absurd. “Consistent with Stephen’s Harper’s neo-conservative ideology of privatization and deregulation, Harper wants greater ’self-regulation’ of Canada’s financial industry,”  “Harper unveiled a plan in his 2007 budget to adopt ‘principles-based’ regulation of the securities and financial industry.  The problem is, business ‘principles’ are, by nature, about making money – not about looking out for the welfare of the public.”  All Self regulation tends to be mere masturbation, just more cover-up,  and it is not close to the real thing. “Harper says he’s now prepared to crack down on the scumbags who drain pensioners’ bank accounts”.  How he does it will show how sincere he is in doing it now too.

“Madam Justice Mary Lou Benotto wants to send a message to white-collar crooks like Garth Drabinsky: Our justice system will deal with you severely. As she sentenced the former impresario to seven years in prison Wednesday, she argued that a crime like his is serious, because it “fosters cynicism [and] erodes public confidence in the financial markets.” Sternly, she noted, “Those in business must know that this must be the response.”

In fact, those in business must know Canada is a fine place to fleece the innocent and cook the books. Not for us the crusading prosecutors, the quick indictments, the speedy trials, and the lifetime jail sentences so popular in the United States.

Here, you can be pretty sure the law will take years to catch up to you (if it ever does). In the event you are found guilty, the penalty won’t be so bad.

Thanks to our generous parole provisions, Mr. Drabinsky could get out of jail after 14 months or so. Not that he’s going to the slammer any time soon. Not until his lawyer exhausts the appeals. “In the U.S., he probably would have been tried eight or nine years ago,” says forensic accountant Al Rosen, who thinks Canada’s systematic failure to prosecute corporate fraud is a bad joke. “And he probably would’ve got 20 to 40 years.”

Today, after a decade of hefty legal bills, Mr. Drabinsky is so broke he has been reduced to begging money off distant acquaintances in exchange for discounts at his Yorkville art gallery. On the other hand, 10 years of freedom (and counting) may well be worth it. Journalists who began covering the Livent debacle early in their careers have grey hair now. Perhaps that explains the sense of anticlimax in the courtroom yesterday.

Compared to the obscure manipulations of Conrad Black (part of whose conviction may well be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court), the fraud scheme carried out by Mr. Drabinsky and his partner, Myron Gottlieb, was plain vanilla. It involved an old-fashioned kickback scheme and a years-long effort to dupe the shareholders by making Livent’s financial picture look far brighter than it was. The most surreal moment of the trial came when lawyer Eddie Greenspan (who also acted for Lord Black) proposed that instead of doing jail time, his client could embark on an inspirational speaking tour with the goal of urging young people to pursue their dreams in the performing arts. Had he made a similar proposal for Lord Black, he’d have been laughed right out of Chicago.

Lord Black, unlike Mr. Drabinsky, will have to serve almost all of his 61/2-year sentence. Mr. Drabinsky could well get out of jail first. Surely, Lord Black (who stood by his old friend when times got tough) must be tempted to contemplate the unfairness of it all. After all, if Canada and not the United States had gone after him, chances are he’d still be a free man.

These days, as newly exposed Ponzi schemes spring up like ragweed, Prime Minister Stephen Harper is vowing a crackdown on white-collar crime. “These crimes have real victims,” he declared last week, “and we should have a justice system that responds accordingly.” But don’t expect anything to happen soon. Unfortunately, the body entrusted with laying charges in cases such as Livent is still the RCMP, far better known for tasering the innocent than nailing the fraudsters.

“I’ve turned over files to the RCMP and nothing happens,” laments Al Rosen, the forensic accountant. “We just don’t have people who are trained in what to look for. We have bad securities acts. We have bad sentencing guidelines. We’ve had some bad court decisions. We’re 80 years behind the U.S. If you’re a crook, this is the best place to be.”

Back in court, the judge had more tough words. “Members of the business community must be put on notice that honesty is the currency in which they trade,” she said. “If they stray, the punishment will be certain and severe.” Stirring words indeed. If only the system worked that way.”

Meanwhile a  third candidate is seeking the leadership of Alberta’s Wildrose Alliance Party.  Jeff Willerton, a self-described blue-collar guy from southern Alberta, threw his hat into the ring on Saturday. Willerton says if elected he will work to censure the Alberta Human Rights Commission. He also thinks Alberta needs smaller, more affordable government.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090801/national/wildrose_alliance_leadership

What  absurdities for a political platform again

The human rights commission is  an acceptable , necessary fact of life especially now in Alberta.. (2 Tim 3:1 KJV)  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2    For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3    Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Alberta needs much more. a lot more  than any  smaller, more affordable government. It needs a competent, effective, capable  leadership, government, and never mind the size. The size does not guarantee that now too.

I was really saddened to note

art (13)

MONTREAL – The alleged victims of Montreal financial adviser Earl Jones plan to rally in the city today to demand stiffer penalties for white collar crimes.

Here is the basic Problem I still do have with too many of the elected politicians, besides the fact they tend to lie like   so many of the rest of us, also do commit  tax evasions, steal as well, the main problem is that they do not tend to do the job they were hired for, rather they take their offices and positions, resources and use it for something else, like instead of looking after all of the citizens good welfare they are working hard instead trying to build up the Conservative political party instead… undeniably using their constituent office now falsely for that as well. And don’t any lie to me and say that our PM Stephen Harper is different now as well. Now if I hired gardener to cut the grass and he cut the neighbor’s grass instead I would have rightfully fired him immediately and that is now what we should do with  any of the politicians who abuse our resources, clearly do fail to do their jobs.

“After three-plus years in power, Stephen Harper’s party is more proficient at politics than policy. Whether waiting patiently for a majority to impose core beliefs or accepting compromise as the price of power, the result is the same. Decisions that change the country for better or worse are influenced more by the search for partisan advantage than the public good… Prime Minister is rushing public billions to the rescue of the multinational auto giants while making it easy for foreigners to buy what’s left of Canadian icon Nortel…a foreign firm, with $300 million in help from Export Development Corp., is allowed to own Nortel’s most valuable wireless assets.    ”  James Travers  http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/672694

Canada economy may be on the mend very shortly according to the too often lying spin doctors, but in reality, in fact it will not be so in the province of  Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, New Brunswick,  Nova Scotia  or in Ontario?  for even many reasons.. firstly the price of oil and gas  is not rising significantly nor is it predicted to raise much in the near future, but the price of the gas pumps will always rise though due to greedy firms.. Next the problem of the border crossing and US protectionism policies seriously has negatively affected Canada’s trade and this is not about to go away, plus Canada’s rising dollar value will not help matters.

The federal Conservatives should need no lessons on the dangers of pouring public money into local festivals and parades, given that their 2006 election victory resulted to a significant degree from public disgust at the Liberal sponsorship scandal. But Stephen Harper’s government chose to ignore that example and, as a result, finds itself caught once again in a political bind of its own making.  The recurring nature of this brand of teapot tempest should be enough to make our government rethink the very idea of event subsidies. A fundamental failing of such government giveaways is that political gains from recipients are almost always outweighed by the resentment of those who are refused. No matter how big the budget, there will never be enough money to satisfy all the demands, and any group left off the gravy train will interpret it as evidence of political bias rather than the pressures of a limited budget.  By trying to buy popularity in Ontario and Quebec, Mr. Harper has slighted the rest of the country and fuelled the usual charges of favouritism. He has offended supporters of Ms. Ablonczy, and provided ammunition to critics who view every action of his government through a political lens. Does this sound like a good use of a taxpayer-funded slush fund aimed at pumping up national morale and civic engagement?  http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2009/07/24/national-post-editorial-board-a-government-that-refuses-to-learn.aspx

Catholics, REAL Women of Canada, Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC) are key supporters of Stephen Harper and his Conservative Government and why? Besides expecting governmental grants?

REAL Women of Canada (Realistic, Equal, Active, for Life) is a non-partisan, non-denominational organization of independant women which was federally incorporated in 1983. ” We come from all walks of life, occupations, social and economic backgrounds. Some members work full or part time outside the home, while some mainly work in the home. We represent a broad spectrum of Canadian women who, until our formation, did not have a public forum in which to express their views.”

“Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC). A national church agency founded in 1964 to foster co-operation among evangelical Christian denominations and individuals. With headquarters in Markham, Ontario, and an office in Ottawa, this group includes affiliate denominations, ministry organizations, post-secondary educational institutions and individual congregations. The largest affiliate church denomination is the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Others include the SALVATION ARMY, the Mennonite Brethren Church, Canadian Baptist Ministries, Christian Reformed Church, Christian and Missionary Alliance, and the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches.  Bruce J. Clemenger took up the position of president of The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada on June 1, 2003. He has served with EFC since 1992. In 1996 he established the EFC’s Ottawa office and became the founding director of the EFC’s Centre for Faith and Public Life. He has served on the board of the Salvation Army Ethics Centre in Winnipeg, as an adjunct faculty member of Tyndale University College and Seminary in Toronto, and at Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C.”

SADLY anyone who thinks OUR Stephen Harper and his Conservatives are any kind of Christians was or  is blind.. FROM DAY ONE, in fact this party is becoming more non Christian everyday..  now all the money, energy supporting this party has certainly gone done the drain.. I would have thought all you guys and  gals were a lot smarter than that too.

“Like many Conservative party supporters, I have been contributing to the Harper political party for a number of years.  However, with the recent revelation that our government has been granting large sums of taxpayers’ money to fund indecent expositions like “pride” parades across the country, I will no longer send donations to this political party.  Such misuse of taxes shows a serious lack of leadership or a deliberate statement of policy by our prime minister and his associates.  Indeed, promoting such parades “for tourism” confirms for Canadians that there’s little difference between a PC government and what would happen under a Liberal or NDP regime. Mark B. Toth”  http://www.bclocalnews.com/opinion/letters/51057607.html  First he  Stephen Harper offends evangelicals by giving out alcoholic drinks.. next he supports the gays.. and next he endorses the catholic pope of all things.. he is losing more and more evangelical supporters every day it seems..

By the way I am no fan of the Salvation  Army in Canada they are too crooked for my liking in Canada, they tend to be hirelings and not real Christians..

I AM NOT A RACIST  AND  I HAVE DEALT WITH HUNDREDS OF REFUGEES AND THE CROOKED ONES HAD TOLD ME YEARS AGO THAT ONE WAY TO GET INTO CANADA IS TO PAY BRIBES TO THE IMMIGRATION OFFICIALS IN MEXICO.. MAYBE THEY SHOULD DEAL WITH THE CROOKED OFFICIALS NOW AND THE MUCH TOO MANY CROOKED IMMIGRATION CONSULTANTS WE SEEM TO HAVE IN CANADA NOW TOO INSTEAD..

Telling lies, half truths is too  too difficult, for you have to remember the lies you had said, and the truth as well, and most people cannot do that , thus they rather do as a result go crazy.. So Me I do not write to please men or women, to be politically correct, and I prefer the truth to deal with, write the simple truths, I also do readily share the good things I have learned freely.

(1 Tim 6:10 KJV)  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.  (Prov 22:16 KJV)  He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.  (Prov 23:5 KJV)  Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

(Eccl 8:12 KJV)  Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: 13   But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

crime down in Canada – report

  00TRUST

While crime is down in Canada police report – at a loss to explain why western Canadian cities have ranked highest …

Careful lying spin doctors at work..  road rage, DRUGS AND ALCOHOL ABUSE ARE RISING STILL, SO SHOULD THE RELATED CRIMES IN FACT..

…for the most part Calgarians are safe but not all… Calgary’s violent crime severity index score was lower than Winnipeg (162.5), Edmonton (131.4), Vancouver (125.0), Montreal (106.0)and Toronto (95.8). The only western Canadian city with a lower rate than Calgary was Victoria at 79.6.Regina had a score of 169.9 while Saskatoon sat at 164.8.  John Turner, chief of the policing services program for Statistics Canada, said the nationwide survey found crime is decreasing across the country. He is at a loss to explain why western Canadian cities have ranked highest in the country for some time.” People have been asking that question for years; it seems it has always been that way,” said Turner. Brookwell attributes it to western prosperity. “That tends to draw the attention of illegal activity, organized crime, that go to where the money is or where there is more disposable income,” he said.http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Violent+crime+falls+Calgary/1815312/story.html

“or where there is more disposable income” this is the biggest pile of manure, crap I have read in a long time… DON’T EVEN THINK FALSELY FOR ONE SECOND that the provincial and municipal  Governments in Alberta have not lied often about the true state   of Alberta’s economy.

  00cops (3)

and what too ignorant or fearful to admit that also  the cost of living is higher in the western cities, the rate of divorce is higher, more eastern  rejects do go west, and people in the western cities have tended  leave their relatives, families, morality in other places, the west do have MORE INCOMPETENT COPS TOO.. RCMP included now..

Crime continues long-term decline, study shows Globe and Mail - Statistics Canada’s new Crime Severity Index reports both the number of crimes nationwide, and the seriousness of those crimes.

I guess many of you have not had any real experiences with dealing with liars, or the incompetent, pretentious  too often police in Canada because in daily reality and often the police as well now  do  lie on their reports, even in regards to   the actual number of criminal complaints, as witnesses , or in the cause of vehicular accidents.. and we all should by now know the RCMP lie.. the actual number of unsolved criminal cases would be a lot higher if the police actually investigated all the citizen report they do receive.

I also had reported to the police that two middle age men had tried to break into my house, in the front door in the afternoon when I was at home, and the detective’s conclusion was this was likely a drug deal gone bad and I owed them money.. me a preacher, an abstainer now as well.. how absurd and ridiculous

Now I have had the police false reject, with false reasons my other complaints.. such it is not in their jurisdiction, or I did not have enough proof, and they would not go looking for it.. or whatever!

and we all do know or should by know that spouses in court,  lawyers, police, and statistic Canada lies, and so do samplers and their polls.. statistic Canada  also never shows the true state of the unemployment or the inflation rate too.. for lie is a daily ongoing fact of life by many in Canada… which leads to lying news reporters too.,, and many Canadians have many complaints now about that too.

“OTTAWA – Most Canadians support the idea of Internet traffic management as long as all users are treated fairly, a new poll suggests.”

Meaning that Most Canadians would support the ISP, internet service providers breaking their promises, contracts as long as they do the same thing to everyone else… wow, that is a complete absurdity.. get real… and if that is how THEY all now conduct their  dishonest polls then no wonder so many people think THEY are con men, liars  rather.. In reality even here unless you know and fully understand firstly the exact questions being asked. The Poll wording itself can very much influence the outcome, example do you still beat your wife, yes or no? This even falsely implies everyone bats their wife. That’s a crude example, but it makes the point. “ What “60% of Canadians” think is completely immaterial, about as significant as what I think about the arrangements of the airbags in a Rolls Royce. What counts is, what the paying customers think of cartel like arrangements by the providers of having their services “throttled”.” Will give you a very different Poll answer.. Amazing how many non technical Canadian news reporters skirt the truth and distort it here too.  And the American public is likely similarly confused on the topic. Valid Education on the issue is a problem.  Over 54 percent of Canadians had  said that they did not understand the topic and how the issue affected their use.  Only 15 percent said that they understood that were affected (or would be affected) by such actions. 22 percent voiced strong opposition, saying such practices were wrong regardless and if you mention internet throttling on a P2P forum that is generally composed of more technically minded computer nerds and you’ll instantly evoke  strong emotion opposition. The Survey  shows public’s overall ignorance of the effects of traffic management on their connections for the majority of average Joe or Jane in the public, the issue is poorly understood and falsely not a worry at all.

AND WHAT DID BELL, Rogers AND THE OTHER BIG CORPORATE INTERNET GIANTS  PAY THEM  ALL TO LIE  HERE TOO?

NOTE: This really is a hypocritical and dishonest poll firstly  again.. for the basic truth, reality is that most Canadians firstly still do not EVEN yet know for sure if they are actuality getting their promised internet upload and downloads speeds FROM THEIR ISP..  even because they still  firstly do not even  know how to measure the speed.. so  now their polled opinion realtedly does not count much when their real ignorance FACTOR IS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. Here is what you all do need to first do to to check the computer’s network speed at http://www.acanac.ca/speedtest/

And after that ONLY THEN YOU CAN ASK MOST CANADIANS WHAT INTERNET SPEED THEY WERE PROMISED BY THEIR ISP COMPARED TO WHAT   THEY ARE ACTUALLY NOW REGULARLY, CONSISTENTLY   GETTING ..

THEN ONE IN A VALID POLL CAN NOW HONESTLY ASK THEM ALL IF THEY ARE SATISFIED WITH THE INTERNET TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OF THEIR SPEEDS .. and give me, us all an honest poll. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/07/15/i-cannot-trust-you-for-you-lie-to-me-all-the-time/

The RCMP should be out of politics, out of Cabinet, accountable to civilian oversight, and investigated by other forces, perhaps international forces arranged by treaty. Failing that, this anachronistic institution should be mothballed or sold to Disney Corp . http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2009/08/12/don-martin-at-the-rcmp-the-thin-blue-line-is-alive-and-well.aspx

(1 Tim 1:9 KJV)  Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10    For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

(Rev 21:8 KJV)  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

That applies especially to the professionals, civil and public services, police, municipalities, politicians, corporations now as well..

Honour killings, assults

An Afghanistanian Muslim Family had  plans to murder daughters, and the first wife  months before: according to the police. The alleged murder of three sisters and a father’s first wife, was preceded apparently by an unfathomable scenario in Canada where the girls’ both parents and brother had conspired in these premeditated murders. Montreal’s Mohammad Shafia, 56, his wife, Tooba Mohammad Yahya, 39, and their eldest son, Hamed Shafia, 18, all of Montreal, are charged with four counts each of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. A relative of the parent   has told the police and reporters that she believes the murders were carried out as so-called honour killings. Many Islamist  extremeists are already well known for their false violent, brutual. murderous terrorsts acts towards any so called opponnets of thier Islamic relgious views.

Most Canadians express rightful, complete outrage at the barbaric murders, “honour killings,” but some in the Muslim community react  in the most predictable fashion: distortions defensiveness and false denial saying  “This has nothing to do with Islam,” FOR the religion of Islam  does not sanction  honour killings.  It is true that Islam’s holy book, the Koran, does not sanction honour killings. But to deny the fact that many incidents of honour killings are conducted by Muslim fathers, sons and brothers, and that many victims are Muslim women, is to exercise total   dishonesty, perversoty for  it is true that the Koran does not sanction such murders, but man-made sharia law, which has been falsely imputed divine status, does allow for the killing of women if they indulge in pre-marital or extra-marital consensual sex. This is exactly  why so many professing Canadian Muslims have opposed the introduction of sharia law in Canada. There is no denying that Islam, in its contemporary expression, is obsessed with women’s sexuality, and considers it a fundamental problem. The hijab, the niqab, the burka and polygamy are all manifestations of this phobia. The mullahs and the mosque leadership may even falsely deny their role in ensuring that Muslim women are second-class citizens within the community, but the undeniable place they reserve for women in the house of God, the Mosque, reveals their actual conviction that Muslim women  are considered not as our mothers or daughters and sisters, but as sexual triggers that may ignite the male passions. Honour killings take place because many  Muslims have been convinced by their mullahs that the burden of their family’s honour and their religion is vested in the virginity of their daughters and sisters. Most mullahs do still acknowledge that according to sharia law, a woman who has consensual sex with a man outside marriage deserves to be lashed in public or stoned to death by an Islamic State or an Islamic court. Not until Muslim clerics and imams seriously abandon their false  notion about women being the possession of men will they really  begin to address the cancer of honour killings, which take more than 5,000 lives in South Asia and the Middle East alone.   At some bookstores, the title of  was : Women Who Deserve to Go to Hell. The book, which is also widely available in British libraries and mosques, lists the type of women who will face eternal damnation. Among them are:
• “The Grumbler … the woman who complains against her husband every now and then is one of Hell.”
• “The Woman Who Adorns Herself.”
• “The Woman Who Apes Men, Tattoos, Cuts Hair Short and Alters Nature.”
But they cannot have it both ways: proclaiming  women as the source of sin as well as deserving of death for consensual sex, and then try to claim the men who do carry out the death sentence are acting against Islamic law. http://www.nationalpost.com/most-popular/story.html?id=1826529

In reality too the Cops themselves, RCMP included, now   are not the only one who resort to violence when their authority is threatened, so do some bad pastors now too..

I have already experienced in Canada  a  direct physical assault of me by  a rogue Pentecostal pastor who punched me , in front of a witness, cause I had refused to go to his church. An another Pentecostal pastor was attempting to physically abuse me to stop my public revelations of his unacceptable acts, thefts of money too. So  did another member of my family  experience physical attempt  by a Plymouth Brethren pastor.

A rogue  RCMP police officers had now also threatened  to shut me up for good because of my public revelations, exposures of their wrong doing as indicated by me  in the Canmore Canadian Court records .

Conservatives & Listeriosis investigator report

health_canada_map

OTTAWA – An investigator’s report into a deadly bacterial outbreak won’t be tinkered with before it’s released to the public on Tuesday, says the Prime Minister’s Office.  Sheila Weatherill, who headed a probe into the listeriosis crisis, has handed in her report to Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz. She was expected to hold a news conference Tuesday in Ottawa to discuss her findings.  A spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper said the document won’t be edited or altered in any way before it is released.  “We’re looking at the report right now and she’ll present it to the public tomorrow,” Kory Teneycke said Monday.  Liberal MP Wayne Easter, the party’s agriculture critic, demanded Weatherill’s report and all accompanying documents be made public immediately.  “We have concerns about this because of the way this government has handled this matter since Day 1,” he said in a statement.  “The report from the government’s hand-picked investigator, with a limited mandate conducted in private, is not sufficient. They have road-blocked any attempts to provide more transparency about the events of last summer.”  Weatherill denied any interference with her probe.  “I have been able to conduct my investigation independently and impartially,” she said in a statement.  “There has been no interference from any party whatsoever.”  That statement was later stricken from a revised statement issued to news media outlets.  National Public Relations, which is handling media duties for the listeriosis investigation, said the quote came from an earlier draft and nothing should be read into its removal.  “It’s true, it’s just that we took it out for brevity,” spokesman David Rodier said.  “It’s just a mistake. We sent out the wrong (statement).”  Weatherill’s report will assess how the federal government responded to the crisis in which 22 people died and hundreds more fell ill after eating contaminated deli meats linked to a Maple Leaf Foods plant in Toronto.  The report will not express findings of criminal or civil liability, but it will make recommendations on how to prevent similar outbreaks.  Weatherill and her team conducted more than 100 interviews and amassed some five million pages of information during their six-month probe.  The investigators held closed-door meetings with cabinet ministers and their top aides, senior bureaucrats, various experts, and industry and consumer groups.  Secrecy shrouded their work. Weatherill only once spoke publicly when she appeared in April before MPs on a special panel studying food safety.  Afterward, reporters had to chase her through the corridors of Parliament’s Hill’s West Block to get her to clarify that she had not yet questioned Ritz.  She has refused to grant interviews.  So far only dribs and drabs have trickled out. Michael Doyle, a Listeria expert who advised Weatherill during the investigation, said the report looks at both the outbreak itself and more generally at food safety in Canada.  “What I’ve seen, I think, is a pretty good, balanced report,” he said.  “I think it does a pretty good job of addressing the issue of the day, which is listeriosis and Maple Leaf product.”  Rick Holley, a food-safety expert at the University of Manitoba, met Weatherill this spring in her office at Ottawa’s Experimental Farm.  “I still have the impression she’s being very conscientious in exploring issues that are somewhat broader than just the specific listeriosis event,” he said.  Weatherill is delivering her report four months past the original March 15 deadline set when Harper promised an “arm’s-length” investigation on Sept. 6, a day before last year’s election was called.  Since then, a half-dozen listeriosis reports have been released.  Reports by Health Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the Public Health Agency of Canada have suggested poor co-ordination among governments and agencies over food safety has been putting Canadians’ health at risk.  The Ontario government released its own post-mortem rapping the knuckles of federal and provincial health authorities for failing to work together during the outbreak.  A House of Commons subcommittee studying food safety couldn’t reach a consensus after hearing from dozens of witnesses this spring, so it released two dissenting reports.  Opposition MPs called for a public inquiry into the outbreak, while the smaller number of Conservative MPs on the panel made no mention of an inquiry in their report and pledged to await Weatherill’s findings.  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090720/national/listeriosis_report

A report into last summer’s listeriosis outbreak has found a series of problems behind the crisis that claimed 22 lives, including a poor response by the federal government.  Investigator Sheila Weatherill’s found a confluence of events contributed to what was one of Canada’s worst food-borne illness outbreaks.  Among the findings:
-Federal meat inspectors assigned to the Maple Leaf Foods plant in Toronto where the outbreak started were “stressed” over having to oversee several other meat-processing plants.
-Government officials were also slow off the mark in responding to the outbreak after it started last July.
-The team that assesses health risks within Health Canada was short-staffed over the summer, “leaving gaps in coverage during the response to the emergency.”
-The federal government was slow to communicate with the public and didn’t keep up those communications long enough.
-There wasn’t a single point person to deliver the government’s message, leading to “a fragmented approach and seemingly inconsistent message.”
The report makes 57 recommendations to help prevent another outbreak.  It says Canada’s chief public health officer should be given a greater role during outbreaks of food-borne illnesses.  Meat companies should also be required to tip the federal government to any suspected health threats. And plants that routinely test positive for bacteria or represent a higher risk should be tested more frequently than others.  The report also recommends that manufacturers design easy-to-clean meat-processing equipment that limits the spread of bacteria.  The report does not express findings of criminal or civil liability.

Meanwhile…

OTTAWA – As the Harper Conservatives spend today awarding themselves a gold star for three years of their Universal Child Care Benefit, parents across the country are still struggling to find child care spaces, let alone affordable ones, Liberal Human Resources and Skills Development Critic Mike Savage said today. “In three years, this Conservative government has done absolutely nothing to address the real problem facing Canadian families – a nationwide shortage of affordable child care spaces,” said Mr. Savage. “The Conservatives are using today, the third anniversary of this benefit, as a forum to try and mislead Canadians about the state of child care in Canada. But parents know better – they’ve living this crisis every day. They are only too aware of the Conservatives’ broken 2006 election promise of 250,000 new child care spaces.” Conservative MPs were in Quebec and Winnipeg today specifically to take part in “celebrations” of the third anniversary of the Universal Child Care Benefit. But parents across the country see little to celebrate. Federal investment in early childhood development and the percentage of children in regulated spaces is one of the lowest amongst Canada’s counterparts in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). As waiting lists for spaces in communities across the country continue to grow, reports have concluded that the number of new spaces created under this Conservative government has dropped significantly. “For some families this situation has become a financial nightmare,” said Mr. Savage. “Some parents are not able to go to work because spaces simply do not exist in their communities, while other families have to pay beyond their means so their children will have a place to go. “Study after study tells us that early learning and child-care programs benefit our children’s learning and development, helping them excel later on. These children are the future of our country; they deserve the best possible start. Why does Stephen Harper not want the best for Canadian children?” http://www.liberal.ca/en/newsroom/media-releases/16038_conservatives-misleading-canadians-on-the-state-of-child-care

Calls erupt for Clement’s resignation  on Industry Minister Tony Clement  misleading — and disparaging — remarks about the Nickel Capital.

The city’s mayor is livid about what he says are “intemperate” comments made by the minister and Parry Sound-   On Friday, Clement said  Inco would “not exist, it would have been closed down, it would have been liquidated if there wasn’t a buyer,” when asked if Sudbury was experiencing a net benefit from the foreign takeover of the nickel giant more than two-and-a-half years ago. “There was going to be no buyer, there were going to be no jobs, there weren’t going to be any capital investments, there was going to be no employer,” said Clement. “That was the Valley of Death that Sudbury faced.”  Clement should resign.  “It’s tremendously embarrassing. We have lost ministers for (less),”  Clement’s comments show Clement is acting in a “hostile” way to Sudbury and Northern Ontario. “I despair, as somebody who’s very interested in regional development and industrial policy … to see this evidence of ignorance” and the lack of a coherent strategy for economic development for Northern Ontario.  Sudbury is home to one of the richest mineral deposits in the world “and has a highly skilled mining workforce second to none.” Sudbury is also a “virtual think tank of innovative mining practices,”  Clement should resign. “He’s just not competent.”   Tony Sottile, a self-described “longtime Conservative supporter,” wrote a letter to The Star saying he resents Clement for bad-mouthing Sudbury “only because we have a history of not electing Conservatives to represent this city.” Sottile said Clement owes Sudbury an apology “for his blatant, derisive comments.” http://www.thesudburystar.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1665397

BC Liberals & the RCMP

If the BC Liberals have had nothing to hide then why would have they ordered the emails to be destroyed? they knew the matter was before the courts too.

“VANCOUVER — The trial judge in the political corruption case of two former B.C. government aides has ordered the disclosure to the defence of Premier Gordon Campbell’s e-mails. B.C. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Bennett granted the defence application to obtain the e-mails and other communications of the premier, key staff members — including the premier’s chief of staff — and a number of cabinet members at the time of the controversial sale of BC Rail in 2004. The judge found the documents related to BC Rail are likely relevant. Two former government aides, Dave Basi and Bob Virk, are accused of corruption, fraud and breach of trust for allegedly leaking confidential information about the BC Rail bidding process, including cabinet confidences, in exchange for cash and other benefits, such as a trip to Denver to see a football game, paid for by OmniTrax. Defence lawyer Michael Bolton said outside court Monday he was extremely pleased with Bennett’s ruling, adding it was one of the most important so far. He said the documents being sought go to the heart of the defence’s case, which is that the former political aides were only following the orders of their political masters — cabinet ministers responsible for the $1-billion privatization sale of BC Rail’s freight division to CN Rail.  A court order was issued by the judge, forcing the government to produce the documents. Whether the documents exist is still in question. The government initially said the material didn’t exist because backup tapes containing e-mails are only kept for 13 months.”

“The RCMP have launched a preliminary probe into missing e-mails in the B.C. Rail corruption case to determine if a more involved criminal investigation is necessary.  “We wouldn’t go ahead and launch a full-fledged criminal investigation until there was evidence there are violations of the federal Criminal Code or provincial statutes,” RCMP spokesman Sgt. Tim Shields said Saturday. “At first blush   . . . the destruction of internal e-mails does not appear to constitute a criminal offence.”  MLA Leonard Krog, the NDP’s attorney-general critic, wrote to the criminal justice branch of the A-G’s office requesting it probe an “apparent obstruction of justice” regarding the e-mails.  He sent a copy of the complaint, which also requested a special prosecutor be appointed to oversee the investigation, to the RCMP commissioner.  Assistant deputy A-G Robert Gillen responded in writing to Krog that he had referred his request to the RCMP, Krog said Friday.  Shields, who hadn’t yet been notified of Gillen’s letter, said receipt of Krog’s carbon-copied e-mail would have by itself prompted a preliminary probe.  Gillen’s letter said the appointment of a special prosecutor would be up to the Mounties.  Shields said the RCMP would request a special prosecutor if the government asked for one.  Court heard last week that e-mails by Premier Gordon Campbell were ordered destroyed in May, just before the Liberals were re-elected for a third term.  http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Premier+mails+must+disclosed+Judge/1809435/story.html

“But court heard last month that all cabinet emails between 2001 and 2005 could have been erased in May, when the Liberal government was re-elected to its third term, touching off speculation about who would have ordered their destruction and why.  “The destruction of evidence, whether by recklessness, negligence or a wilful failure to preserve could be a very significant factor to the outcome of this case and it potentially could lead to a motion for abuse of process,” Bennett said.  “Ultimately, the cabinet ministers that Mr. Virk and Mr. Basi worked for are slated to be witnesses in their trial so these emails are very important for trial purposes.”  Bennett said the material is likely relevant and she wants it by Aug. 17, after which she will review it before deciding whether it is connected to the case.  Leonard Krog, the Opposition NDP’s critic for the Attorney General’s Ministry, said the judge’s ruling has cast a broad net among former cabinet ministers and other high-ranking officials.  “I think even the premier of British Columbia has to be accountable to the courts when there are accused people before the courts and relevant evidence is apparently available,” he said.  “If this government had co-operated earlier it wouldn’t look so bad as it does now,” he said. “The fact is they should have co-operated. It was the right, moral, legally correct thing to do and they haven’t done so to date.”  Krog has called for a public inquiry into the supposed destruction of the emails, saying a provincial statute calls for electronic records must be kept for at least 10 years.  Virk’s lawyer, Kevin McCullough told court last month that the RCMP failed to obtain emails connected to its raid of the legislature even after former deputy finance minister Dave Morhart said in a statement that he’d saved about 2,000 of them.  McCullough said that suggests the Mounties targeted Virk and Basi from the beginning.  Morhart is among the officials whose emails Bennett requested Monday. The judge also said police did not seek emails from Collins, the former finance minister, during their investigation of the BC Rail deal. ” http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090720/national/legislature_raid

E-mail scandal answers needed Times ColonistJuly 18, 2009
It would be hard to explain the apparent destruction of government e-mails pertaining to the sale of B.C. Rail — and harder still to defend it. The $1-billion sale was the basis for a political corruption case that is still before the B.C. Supreme Court. The charges were laid almost five years ago and followed a police raid on the legislature in December 2003.
No one employed by the government could be unaware of the charges against Dave Basi, Bob Virk and Aneal Basi. It is beyond belief to think that any senior government employee would not know better than to destroy evidence that could be needed in a major court case.
That is apparently what has happened, according to evidence presented to the court this week. To make matters worse, some e-mails were destroyed after the defence lawyers asked to see them.
The loss of these documents is a serious problem for the B.C. Liberal government, one that will plague Premier Gordon Campbell and his cabinet until the next election.
Campbell’s only real choice, if he wants to restore his government’s credibility, is to give British Columbians a full accounting of what went wrong and who was to blame. The people who ordered the records destroyed have no place in government.
The premier’s only comment so far is that the government has retained all of the documents that it was required to keep. That defence shows a lack of respect for both the legal process and the voters.
For years, the government has refused to comment on the B.C. Rail deal, arguing that it was before the courts. The apparent destruction of e-mail evidence makes a mockery of that stance.
Even dedicated Liberal supporters, who have stayed true to the party for the past decade, should be shaken by the e-mail fiasco and pressing for answers.
Consider the evidence presented to the court, and the timing of the e-mail destruction.
A government lawyer told Justice Elizabeth Bennett last month that all provincial cabinet e-mails from 2001 to 2005 had been destroyed. They were only retained for 13 months, the court was told.
That would have meant that even after the legislature raid, even after the charges were laid, someone decided to get rid of the records. That would also have meant that all electronic backups were also gone.
After that, it turned out that some e-mails to and from MLAs were, in fact, still available.
And this week, the court was told in an affidavit that the backups of cabinet e-mails had been ordered destroyed in May, just two months ago.
But the defence lawyers had asked for the e-mails two years ago. The government did not turn over the documents — and after receiving the request, the e-mails were destroyed.
What should British Columbians think about this? Is this incompetence, an effort to undermine the court case or something in between?
The loss of the e-mails is sure to bring more attention to the case, which deals with the sale of B.C. Rail to Canadian National.
Defence lawyers say that their clients were acting on the orders of cabinet ministers and senior bureaucrats. The e-mail records could turn out to be critical to the case.
The defence has asked Bennett to order the government to produce any e-mails pertaining to the rail deal. Bennett will rule on the request on Monday. Her first order of business will be to determine the potential relevance of the e-mails.
The B.C. Rail court case could turn out to be one of the most expensive in B.C. history, and taxpayers are picking up the tab. We have a right to see justice done.
We also have a right to answers about the government’s use and retention of e-mails. Which ones are missing? Which ones are kept permanently? What is being retained now?
The government should answer those questions, and more. If it has nothing to hide, it should not hesitate to tell the people.
The public has a right to know what is going on.

and what other bad things will they all do next too?  Don’t expect the too often incompetent, Useless buck passing RCMP to do much about it too.. I rightfully have never been a fan of the self centered BC Liberals or the bad RCMP now too.

The B.C. Liberals campaigned just three months ago on a promise to protect health care. They are now cutting health services. Rather than protecting care, Health Minister Kevin Falcon has told the province’s health authorities to cut $360 million this year – about 3.5 per cent of the spending needed to maintain care. Anyone who questioned this promise during the campaign was told to read the Liberals’ lips – no cuts. Anyone who suggested otherwise was accused of being biased toward the NDP. So what happened between now and then? Funding for the authorities has increased 5.8 per cent, a significant amount, but well short of what the authorities say they need to maintain care at last year’s levels. And that is what a sensible voter would have assumed the Liberals meant with their repeated promises to protect health care. It’s disturbing that only now – more than three months into the fiscal year – is the government revealing its true intentions. Competent management would have seen the health authority budgets reviewed and decisions made before the fiscal year began, so they could plan properly. Cuts will now have to be deeper. It’s much more disturbing that the level of health-care service is being allowed to decline as the need increases, driven by an aging and growing population. While we can appreciate that all cost-saving measures should be examined, and even encouraged, British Columbians did not vote for reduced care, longer waits for treatment and cuts to community-based care. So what happened? http://www2.canada.com/abbotsfordtimes/news/opinion/story.html?id=4decbda4-e756-44be-abd1-7ed177d3f685

Surprise — a new tax out of nowhere   The “harmonized tax” plan is the way Gordon Campbell, with no warning or consultation, imposed a major tax change. The new tax system will shift the payement of taxes more from business to individuals.  The tax plan wasn’t mentioned in the election campaign three months ago. There have been no discussion papers. The Liberals rejected calls for the harmonized tax and said the change wasn’t on the agenda. And now they have said they will impose it. Campbell  now proposes  th a 12 per cent merged GST and PST, effective next July 1. The tax will go to Ottawa, and B.C. will be sent its share.   Businesses can deduct GST they pay from their tax bill. Now they will be able to deduct PST as well, as it is included in the harmonized tax. That will save them — and cost the government — about $1.9 billion in what had been provincial sales tax. That’s a 37 per cent drop in PST revenue. Which means someone else is going to have to pay the $1.9 billion that business will be saving.   The new tax will apply to a long list of things that you didn’t pay PST on. Heating oil and natural gas, cable and telephone, restaurant meals and non-prescription medicine. Movie and airline tickets and real estate commissions and dry cleaning and new house prices.  http://www.timescolonist.com/news/Paul+Willcocks+Surprise+nowhere/1828089/story.html

The RCMP should be out of politics, out of Cabinet, accountable to civilian oversight, and investigated by other forces, perhaps international forces arranged by treaty. Failing that, this anachronistic institution should be mothballed or sold to Disney Corp . http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2009/08/12/don-martin-at-the-rcmp-the-thin-blue-line-is-alive-and-well.aspx

By the way the government of British Columbia, Canada   is already well known for not caring about the poor people, the citizens good welfare or legal, human rights.. they seem to be self centered, selfish  and crappy.

BC stands for bad and crazy…
