Besides the call for revolution, one common slogan in the recent Middle East uprisings is “Allahu akbar,” Arabic for “God is the greatest.” Add to these chants the recent declaration by the Libyan national transition council that Libya will abide by Islamic law, and most recently the victory of the Islamist Ennahda party in Tunisia, and you can understand why many in the West are alarmed about the rise of Islam. Is this alarm a legitimate concern, or is it Islamophobia?
In a recent survey by Léger Marketing for the Association of Canadian Studies in Montreal, Canadians were asked how positive they feel about different groups. Muslims received the lowest ranking. The results echoed the findings of a previous survey for the association, this one marking 10 years since 9/11, which found that a majority of Canadians believe that conflicts between Western nations and the Muslim world are “irreconcilable.”

The governmental protests have been now also spreading rapidly through the Middle East and North Africa. A major slogan of the demonstrators in the Arab world has been Ash-sha`b yurid isqat an-nizam (“The people want to bring down the regime”) This Arab Spring also known as the Arabic Rebellions or the Arab Revolutions) is a revolutionary wave of demonstrations and protests occurring in the Arab world. Since 18 December 2010 there have been revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt; a civil war in Libya resulting in the fall of its regime; civil uprisings in Bahrain, Syria, and Yemen, Algeria,[Iraq, Jordan, Morocco, and Oman, and minor protests in Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan,[ and Western Sahara. The protests have shared techniques of civil resistance in sustained campaigns involving strikes, demonstrations, marches and rallies, as well as the use of social media to organize, communicate, and raise the revolutionary campaign.
The fact that the the largest, most organized demonstrations have often occurred on a “day of rage”, usually the Muslim Friday after noon prayers indicates who is realy behind these uprisings. The reintroduction of Sharia is a longstanding goal for Islamist movements in Muslim countries. Sharia deals with many topics addressed by secular law, including crime, politics and economics, as well as personal matters such as sexuality, hygiene, diet, prayer, and fasting. Where it enjoys official status, Sharia is applied by Islamic judges, or qadis. Sharia law would also next ban democracy and the personal freedoms we all in America do now take for granted.
The Muslim religion has a long history of atrocities, oppressions, injustices that are reason enough to abolish these notions of any divinity pronto. The laws should treat people of all faiths equally, while protecting Muslims and non-Muslims alike from the religious extremists attempts to use the legal instrument of shari‘ah (also known as Islamic jurisprudence, or fiqh) to incubate, “Islamism,” or “radical Islam.”
The kettle says the pot is black but it next does the same bad things. These Muslim rebels or terrorists, in the Middle East, North Africa Muslim countries misrepresent themselves these days often to all, and even by the news media , even the Canadian news media tends to spread their lies , sadly even even the Canadian government, that these citizen protests are valid now, but while they the rebels or terrorists, do claim they are now overthrowing the central, political government and it’s leader cause it has been cruel, despotic, undemocratic government, evident in the face of the state attempts at repression, and internet censorship, but the basic truth is that they the rebels or terrorists, are all now calling for the overthrow or are overthrowing these bad governments because they are or were mostly secular governments, and and the rebels or terrorists, really do want to establish a religious Muslim state governed by sharia laws where they too themselves next will even become dictatorial, undemocratic, and yes they will oppress others, the Jews and the Christians now included.
Something the news media even in Canada plays down, and falsely spins the truth, so it is no wonder many people are skeptical as to what they now read, see, hear on the news.. it is too often a distortion.. at least some still tell the truth.
Al-Shabaab An al-Qaida-linked Somali Muslim militant group is calling for terrorist attacks in Canada ,jihad in Canada, attacks against non-Muslims and was attempting to radicalize and recruit young Canadians, there are many young men in the Somali-Canadian community who may have embraced al-Shabaab’s beliefs.

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (Reuters) – A Nigerian Islamist sect said it killed a state television cameraman because it had evidence that he was an informant for the security services, and the group warned it would kill anyone else who “steps on our toes”. Boko Haram, whose name means “Western education is forbidden”, has been behind dozens of shootings in Nigeria’s northeast this year, usually targeting authority and religious figures. Boko Haram has previously said it wants sharia law more widely applied across Nigeria, its jailed members freed and the local government sacked.

CAIRO — Hundreds of Christian Copts protested recently outside the state television building on Tuesday after a church was burned in the southern Aswan district. Next Egyptian Coptic Christians carry coffins as they make their way to Abassaiya Cathedral during a mass funeral for victims of sectarian clashes with soldiers. The current and alarming escalation in the systematic targeting of Egypt’s Copts should now lead us all to be extremely concerned about what could be around the corner in the other Arab countries now too. Incidentally most of the news media does not tend to say the truth that these now too common killings, murders are the acts of Muslim terrorists, or Muslim religious fanatics but are rather done by democratic loving persons, separatist’s!!! How unreal!!
The Muslim supporters even had undeniably lied, as they did recently in Egypt and said that the others , such as the innocent, supposedly mostly rich Christians and Jews, now themselves were solely to blame for the murders, violence
Twenty-five died and more than 320 were injured when a Coptic protest against the failure of the government to investigate an attack on a church last month was overrun by provocateurs and the Egyptian military. There had been a series of anti-Coptic incidents since the revolution . One of the main conclusions to be drawn from these incidents, he said, was that the Christians did not have the right to build their places of worship in the same way Muslims do. Major-General Adel Emara, a member of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, denied the soldiers had run over protesters or used live ammunition in Sunday’s clashes. To the disbelief of all those who witnessed the violence and the many thousands who viewed the footage on news channels and YouTube, he then accused protesters of ”savage” attacks on the military.

Amnesty International the London-based rights group said it had uncovered evidence of torture and ill-treatment of thousands of people detained in recent months. Libya’s interim authorities must end arbitrary detention and abuse of inmates, Amnesty International said it had found a pattern of torture and abuse of suspected Gaddafi loyalists, as well as soldiers and suspected mercenaries. The Amnesty report raises fears of a return to the types of abuses committed in the Gaddafi era. Torture and mass killings were widespread both before and during this year’s conflict as any dissent was quickly suppressed.

Summary of Recent Events in Egypt – Human Rights Watch. The military has ruled Egypt since the historic January 2011 uprising unseated President Hosni Mubarak, but strikes and protests urging further reforms are ongoing. Parliamentary elections are set for the fall, and former officials charged with killing demonstrators and corruption are being tried. However, there has been no genuine reform of the security sector or accountability for the government’s use of torture. But new military abuses are marring the transition: more than 10,000 civilians have been tried before unfair military courts and the military has failed to investigate torture and virginity testing of protesters.

The Egyptian military’s intention to control the investigation of the use of force against unarmed Coptic Christian demonstrators during a night of clashes on October 9, 2011, raises fears of a cover-up. The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, Egypt’s military rulers, should transfer the investigation from the military prosecution to a fully independent and impartial investigation into the killing of unarmed protesters by military forces. The violence left two dozen protesters

Fifty-three people, apparent Gaddafi supporters, seem to have been executed at a hotel in Sirte last week. The hotel is in an area of the city that was under the control of anti-Gaddafi fighters from Misrata before the killings took place. Human Rights Watch called on Libya’s National Transitional Council (NTC) to conduct an immediate and transparent investigation into the apparent mass execution and to bring those responsible to justice. “We found 53 decomposing bodies, apparently Gaddafi supporters, at an abandoned hotel in Sirte, and some had their hands bound behind their backs when they were shot,”

The National Transitional Council (NTC), the de facto authority in most of Libya, should work to stop militia groups from making arbitrary arrests and abusing detainees in prisons and makeshift detention facilities across western Libya. Human Rights Watch visited 20 detention facilities in Tripoli and interviewed 53 detainees. The detainees reported mistreatment in six facilities, including beatings and the use of electric shock, and some of them showed scars to support the claims. None had been brought before a judge.

So why should any decent Canadians, government now support these rebels or terrorists.. oil interests?
.
Have we not all have had enough experiences with these persons? Even New Mosques are growing in Canada. Just what we need more home grown Muslim terrorists. Too many new Immigrants, new Canadians take mean advantage of Canada’s generosity, social servcies and do also abuse the great Canadian way of life, generosity, freedom, laws.
Canada has to be vigilant about preventing especially the practicing Muslims entry into our country. It must be mandated that ANYONE entering our country accepts to live AS A CANADIAN respecting all of our desire for peace, freedom, equality, or are immediately deported!! They now clearly mostly left their country because of horrible conditions there and the despotic religion, leaders too, and Muslims now have been given the “privilege” of living in Canada and they must be made to follow all of the laws of OUR land…not the bad laws of land they were so happy to leave.!! .. no abuse is accepted
(Rom 8:29 KJV) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
(Rom 12:2 KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
