Speeding is not the major cause of car accidents still

 gm

While Automobile traffic accidents are the number one cause of death for Americans, Canadians  ages 3 to 33 and while Automobile traffic accidents are the most common source of personal injury the reality is that  NOT ONLY IS SPEEDING NOT THE MAIN CAUSE OF ACCIDENTS, RATHER ROAD RAGE AND  IMPAIRED DRIVING ARE. but the  statistics also still indicate that hospital deaths now due to hospital acquired sickness, medical errors, medical negligence exceedingly surpass all of these deaths, numbers. And yet here not enough is being done about this and why is that?

Too many people Canada wide do now often complain about still being harassed, bullied by Traffic cops and getting unnecessary traffic tickets, especialy it seems in Ontario, Alberta too. Cops are no angels themselves for sure.  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/06/12/speed-related-highway-fatalities/

Drink Alcohol and Die « The non conformer’s Canadian Weblog   Drink Alcohol and Die or Kill is fast becoming Canada’s preoccupation, main goal, slogan.. Alcohol and alcoholics the unacceptable main cause of vehicular  accidents, domestic violence, and so many other ills… DRUNK DRIVING  KILLS AT LEAST 5 TIMES MORE PERSONS OVER SPEEDING FIRSTLY  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/01/02/alcohol/

THE HYPOCRITICAL CANADIAN CONSERVATIVE PARTY, GOVERNMENT LIKE TO BE KNOWN AS THE LAW AND ORDER PARTY, BUT IT ITSELF HAS NOT BOTHER TO TACKLE, TO RIGHTFULLY DEAL WITH THE BAD RCMP, TOO MANY ABUSIVE COPS IN CANADA..

Alberta drug and alcohol deaths have doubled in the past decade  Edmonton Sun  CALGARY — The number of recorded drug and alcohol deaths in Alberta has more than doubled in the past decade, says the province’s chief medical examiner. From 1998 to 2008, Alberta’s population has grown by only 13% while the annual number of non-suicide deaths attributable to intoxicants has leaped to 437 from 210. Kim Borden, research officer with the chief medical examiner’s office, was at a loss to explain why the number would so far exceed the province’s population increase. “But I do know drugs and drug-related deaths are a huge problem — it’s right up there with car crash fatalities,” she said. “It’s growing every year.” , the figures for deaths caused by drugs are likely much higher because the number of autopsies are so limited.

So vehicular  speeding is not the major cause of accidents, deaths but impaired driving and yet the police like to go after speeders, over the drunk drivers still and why was that?

It is not the rapists, drunk drivers that mostly  fill the courts calendars, docks it is mostly the revenue generating traffic tickets.. if the government wants to get tough on crime, as it purports, it should go after the real criminals. Drunk, impaired drivers too.  After all speeding is not the major cause of vehicular accidents, what you did not know that yet? and the police Chief himself did not tell you? What is then the cause of major car accidents? Drunk driving, road rage, impaired driving, distracted while driving…. and what the revenue generating traffic division has not gone after all this mostly instead yet too? and why Not? The Cops becoming judge and jury, now taking the law into their own hands  even when they still say “ In most cases, our cops are the best to judge if stunt driving is really stunt driving. Or, is it simply speeding. If that is the case, they should charge accordingly or face more legal challenges.” And them the cops still being continually soft on drunk drivers is cause too many cops do  drink alcohol now too?  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/10/speeding-is-not-the-major-cause-of-car-accidents-still/

VICTORIA — Alcohol consumption has increased almost twice as much in British Columbia as it has in the rest of the country, according to a new study. Researchers at the University of Victoria Centre for Addictions Research say British Columbians’ alcohol consumption has risen 16 per cent since 1998. That’s almost twice the nine per cent increase seen in the rest of Canada. http://www.vancouversun.com/health/Drinking+rises+faster+than+rest+Canada/2322114/story.html

and if that is true now there should be twice as much arrests for drunk driving and twice as much prison incarceration for drunk driving too? is there or why not?

Saskatchewan has introduced the toughest repeat drunk-driving sentencing policy in Canada, just in time for the holiday party season. As of Friday in Saskatchewan, there will be a minimum mandatory 30-day jail sentence for repeat offenders who have had one prior conviction in the past five years or two convictions in the past ten years.  Further, if a convicted drunk driver has two convictions in the past five years or three in the past ten years, the mandatory jail sentence will be 120 days.  These sentences will be more severe if the drunk driving offences have caused bodily harm or if the offender is found to be driving while disqualified. http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2009/12/09/12098391.html

Yet  ex OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino called it “the Lord’s work arresting anyone except the cops for speeding, thus ” “Saving lives“. The devil disguised as an angel of light again. He said his officers will “make no apologies” for continuing to enforce a law that gives police the power to impound vehicles, suspend licences, and slap high fines against drivers before the driver has a chance to appear in court. After all it is a profitable revenue generating law too.

False image of racing.. On Sept. 4, 2009 Ontario Justice G. J. Griffin overturned an earlier guilty verdict on a grandmother caught doing more than 50 km/h over the posted limit of 80 km/h on a stretch of Highway 7 near Kaladar. At the time, Jane Raham, 62, was overtaking a truck. Among many other opinions, Justice Griffin said Raham certainly didn’t conjure up the image of a stunt driver. Griffin’s ruling means convicting someone on excessive speeding alone under the street racing law is now considered unconstitutional.  That makes some common sense. And it doesn’t mean reckless street racers who swerve in and out of lanes endangering others won’t face the strict penalties under the street racing law. Those penalties include having your car impounded as soon as you’re charged and a $2,000 to $10,000 fine. Some may say driving more than 50 kilometres over the posted speed limit is dangerous so it should fall under the stunt driving law. But there are already sufficient fines and penalties, not to mention insurance ramifications, to deter driving at such a high speed. Impounding someone’s car at the scene in a simple case of speeding does seem somewhat onerous. Jailing them – although up to the discretion of a judge – would still be outrageous.

If that is the case, they should charge accordingly or face more legal challenges.”

And them the cops still being continually soft on drunk drivers is cause too many cops do  drink alcohol now too?

Note this important  brief introduction to road safety .. Yes  you always do have to drive safely, in control, not impaired as well and yes there are many, many different factors that now can cause a vehicular, automotive  accident, including but not limited to the actual daily road conditions, even the type of tires you have .. for  it is a fact that good tires lead to a safer drive, and so does a 4 wheel drive.  Next when you start to first drive at any day do first immediately test the road condition by coming to a planned sudden stop at a slow speed too, and see firsthand how your car reacts accordingly.. then next do use this experience to set how you will drive the rest of the day too. And no matter what car, or tires you have, or who is the driver, if you do hit a patch of black ice, due clearly to the failure of others to apply salt and gravel on the icy / snowy road,  it can be very, very hazardous now too. Give them a fine, ticket, they firstly do deserve it too.  And  hypothetical if you do not drive at all you are less likely   to have an   accident, assuming another driver does not hit you while walking.. SEE ALSO http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/04/24/research-on-real-world-behavior-crash-factors

The insurance industry itself too  often sleeps with legislators, cops because it wants to make loads of money by finding out reasons not to pay out as well.. they support traffic tickets even though they do not reduce the car accidents significantly cause it gives more money to the insurance firms,  this is immoral gouging of consumers too often rather too.. now what about having some honest watchdogs and legislators rather. Go after the drunk drivers, raise the price of the booze firstly..

Even so, snow tires are still a wise choice for motorists in southern Ontario too. However, a snow tire is no surety against the repercussions of reckless or dangerous driving. And that’s the key thing.   More often than not, vehicular collisions on winter roads aren’t caused by the lack of snow tires on a vehicle. It’s (ALSO NOT ) caused by motorists who are driving too fast or not accordingly to the conditions.  This is also what Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner Julian Fantino (FALSELY) touched upon this week when he urged the government to increase fines and demerit points for drivers speeding in bad weather conditions – whether it’s snow, heavy rain or thick fog.  Fantino’s pitch came on the heels of a weekend that saw provincial police officers respond to more than 3,000 collisions as large swaths of the province were walloped by two snowstorms. At least 40% of crashes are caused by speeding in poor conditions and not paying attention, Fantino said. (His  unofficial, unreliable statistics, remark NOW  refers to a small period of accidents and not RATHER  the  true statistics for the whole year firstly  since most accidents are caused by rage, impaired driving, poor drivers, vehciles and driver errors). The Highway Traffic Act already has provisions and penalties for speeding and careless driving. Do we really need another section in the Act that specifically addresses bad driving in poor weather?  No, we don’t.  What we do need is the strict enforcement of existing traffic laws – not just about speeding but also signaling turns and taking the proper precautions before changing lanes.”  http://www.tirereview.com/default.aspxtype=wm&module=4&id=2&state=DisplayFullText&item=13392

“CP TORONTO – The head of the Ontario Provincial Police says drivers who crash in bad weather because of their own negligence should have to pay the bill.  Commissioner Julian Fantino will propose absolute liability legislation today under the Highway Traffic Act to hold irresponsible drivers accountable. This essentially means making drivers pay for accidents in which they were driving aggressively in poor weather, not insurance companies  Fantino says at least 40 per cent of crashes are caused because people are going too fast in poor conditions and not paying attention.  He says his proposal targets people “who could care less” about how they are driving when the roads are bad.   Fantino says his proposal mirrors laws currently on the books in almost every state in the U.S.” The fact that many of these road accidents had occurred in reality, honesty due to the cutbacks of the snow cleaning, removal  services is ommitted wrongfully.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/12/22/cops-lie-too/

It’s all very simple: obey the laws.  You broke the law, accept the consequences, and if that hypocritical, absurd, extreme statement was the reality, the truth, everyone would next be in jail, all of the politicians, civil and public servants, cops firstly..

In regard also to the The Quebec bill to amend the Highway Safety Code and the Regulation respecting demerit points whicj was adopted on December 19, 2007.  The rules and measures adopted mainly concern drinking and driving, speeding, photo radars and red-light cameras, driving courses, the use of cell phones while driving, and over-speed governors for certain heavy vehicles. This legislation introduces more severe penalties for repeat offenders of impaired driving and excessive speeding. It allows for the implementation of a photo radar and red-light camera pilot project providing for three photo radar locations and the installation of red-light cameras at two intersections in each of the three pilot regions. These fifteen locations will be announced at a later date. The law also provides for the institution of mandatory driving courses for new drivers and imposes probationary driver’s licenses on all new drivers, including new drivers of 25+ years of age, as well as gradual access to demerit points for new drivers under 25. A driving course will also be mandatory for mopeds. it will henceforth be forbidden for drivers to use a hand-held cell phone while driving but the person can still do text messaging, and what an contradictory absurdity too.. The activation of over-speed governors is now mandatory for certain heavy vehicles, and the maximum speed for these vehicles must be set at 105 km/h.  The law also provides for the obligation to equip vehicles with winter tires from November 15 to April 1, greater latitude for municipalities that regulate speed limits on their territory and the possibility to carry out pilot projects, in particular for new types of vehicles. New road safety measures come into force in Québec on April 1, 2008: The use of hand-held cell phones will be banned from then on .Tougher penalties will be imposed on drivers guilty of excessive speeding  Some of the motives for the false, partial restive applications, implantation of these laws can certainly now still be questioned as well. Some of the motives for the false, partial restive applications, implantation of these laws can certainly now still be questioned as well.

The oppressive police enforcement of revenue generating speeding tickets enforcement is still  basically economically beneficial   to a very small, isolated segment of society, the related cops, judges, lawyers, and it is false  job security approach for them even in Alberta. While the government of Alberta fails to often still to  deal with the still much too many bad managers, bad civil and public servants abusing tax payers money, even stealing,  not doing their jobs properly, unnecessarily taking out of town trips and charging it to the job still, Alberta today  is putting 15 new sheriffs on the road in Alberta. Alberta for decades, and the police  has been falsely preoccupied with putting every person in jail in Calgary, and Edmonton, all of  Alberta for speeding,  it seems and was another main reasons they spent so much money on building new court facilities in Alberta too… this is even all being done while statistics, experiences confirms that speeding does not kill, or cause the majority of accidents, but only drunk or drug impaired drivers, bad drivers, and road rage cause the majority of the accidents the government still wants to purse now mostly  the speeders more aggressively in Alberta.

Police often do calls for tougher rules on others but not upon themselves. Such real hypocrites now still too. .   Do what I say over do what I do is part of the hypocrisy now existing too often too at all levels, federal, provincial, municipal, in cops as well and not just in many preacher’s lives now as well..

Wrongful inactions, Cover ups, False denial of bad politicians, bad cops, bad persons, false pastors, false priests are much too common in Canada too.

About the bad drivers.. Now Speed-related highway fatalities are down some 42 per cent in Ontario supposedly  this year, and much of that has to do with the new laws enacted last spring, Ontario Provincial Police commissioner Julian Fantino said.  But since speeding causes apparently less than 15 percent of the overall accidents, and bad cars, bad vehicles, road rage, drunk drivers, impaired drivers, talking on the phone causes the majority of the accidents still so how much did the police help now to  reduce these more important statistics? Nothing again? and why not? and why is it too often unacceptably the bad cops are never found guilty as well?

Most accidents are caused by drunk driving and the doctor does not mention this still?? what was that? he was paid by the liquor industry not to? or was PAID BY MONEY MAKING REVENUE COPS TO SAY SPEED ALONE MAINLY KILLS.. HOW ABSURD.. THIS Canadian doctor.. and not a Canadian Traffic engineer uses now US statistics ONLY to say speed alone kills? and he what HE THUS HAD considered also the number of drunk, impaired, road rage  drivers, that seem to increase very year as a fact for most of the deaths NO MATTER WHAT THE SPEED?  or what this did not bother him.. only the number of people who speed?  SPEED IS A MAIN FACTOR IN 5 TO 15 PERCENT OF THE ACCIDENTS.. AND WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE ACCIDENTS? THE 85 PERCENT.. it SEEMS THE DOCTORS IN UNITED KINGDOM CONTRADICT THIS CANADIAN DOCTOR IN THEIR TRAFFIC ACCIDENT STUDIES TOO.. SO WHAT ELSE IS NEW?  Preposterous COOKED results.. NOW get real..

Majority of accidents are caused by the drunk drivers firstly still. Police do not regularly, actively, year around purse them and why?  More people die from alcohol, drugs, hospital neglect, and yet more money is being paid on catching mainly the  speeders.. Police do not mind harassing still the ordinary folks with revenue generating  traffic, parking, speeding tickets though  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/06/25/we-need-more-red-light-cameras-elsewhere-too/

The federal justice minister is considering a new law that would allow police to conduct random breathalyzer tests on drivers, regardless of whether they suspect motorists have been drinking. http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2009/10/05/random-breathalyzer-drunk-driving-test-law.html
I total agree with this law on condition the same test be administered also to all working civil and public servants, senators, politicians in the house of commons as well..

If you can’t drive effectively while impaired, drunk neither can you do your job effectively  as well.

Look at this, due to the undeniable Recession, budget and tax cuts,  Municipalities across Canada have  been cutting back even on their services, snow clearing now too, which has been leading up to more car accidents, and cause the police cannot tell the truth about their employers, the police now lie, and divert the truth, saying that speeding vehicles were the cause of most of the accidents. In reality now also  speeding also still is not the main reasons for accidents but driving while impaired is.. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/01/08/drivers-will-face-significant-insurance-rates/

As a citizen I too find it very dangerous when drivers do not stop at the stop signs, run through read lights, speed in residential areas, use a phone in a car and do their drive cars rather now now as well.. so we should ban now all car drivers firstly, practically now.

This is no more absurd than the New Project that hopes to slash the  actual  Edmonton residential car speed limits .  The speed limit will plunge as low as 30 km/h in some Edmonton neighborhoods next year as the city continues to wage its war on all lead-footed drivers.  A committee of council members  gave administration the green light to get to work on the pilot project. It will see the top speed hopefully lowered to between 30 km/h and 40 km/h on residential streets in three to five neighborhoods for a period of six months  for some people  the current 50 km/h top speed is too high for their neighborhood streets, It’s a mostly a quality of life issue for the people. The People want to feel safe.  A quality of life issue mostly  and not really a safety issue. It is cheaper to buy then some medical pills to help them to feel better though.   The reduced speed would not apply to major arterial roadways for now ?. The current top speed is unacceptable to some local people, especially when the  police generally don’t start issuing tickets until a motorist is driving at least 10 km/h above the posted limit.  “We need to do something to catch people’s attention,”  But  still the upfront cost of lowering the limit on all neighborhood streets would be in the millions of dollars, yes “a staggering amount.” That would include the cost of new signs, photo enforcement equipment, municipal, court overheads.  Most if not all of the costs may be offset by increased ticket revenue. Don’t forget the freebie, the increase of profits for the insurance firms with every police traffic ticket now issued as well. These  desired residential speed reductions are not effective unless they are enforced. Edmonton Police Chief Mike Boyd recently vowed to devote all possible resources to crack down on excessive speeding in the city after officers issued an average of almost one ticket per minute in their latest 24-hour speeding blitz. Generating thousands of dollars. It is still better and cheaper to buy the complaining residents some medical pills to help them to “feel better” though.

Spyder Harper is weaving his spins

Majority government in reach: Harper Prime Minister Stephen Harper believes a majority government “is in reach” for the Conservative party the next time Canadians go to the polls for a federal election. Majority government Steve? Only if you have Elections Afghanistan running your campaign… Consolation: this is the same guy who last time around didn’t see the recession coming, nor did he think a deficit was in the stars…   He needs another crystal ball!   AND WE NEED another PM!.. Harper, you have worn out your welcome, just please leave. A minority, government will be good for Canada, although, the optimum would be the NDP to rule, with a Liberal opposition. Then we would see the middle and lower class Canadians being put first, instead of Corporations and oil companies.  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/09/prime-minister-stephen-harper-video-marjority.html

Conservative Prime Minister Harper  damages public perception with partisanship with his majority emphasis “it only exacerbates the concerns some Canadians have with the prime minister — the very concerns that have precluded Mr. Harper from getting the majority he so clearly desires.” “ it creates the impression that Mr. Harper does have a hidden agenda he isn’t ready to share with all voters, and for voters to give the Conservatives a majority just could unleash a lot of other policies the party has shelved from its Reform and Alliance incarnations. ” The StarPhoenix

“There have always been two Harpers,” Ignatieff told a news conference Thursday. “The real Harper always comes out when he thinks he can’t be heard.” He said the true Harper is contemptuous of other political parties, the justice system, and the social institutions Canadians hold dear. Ignatieff also scoffed at the closed-door rallying cry for a majority. He said he’s toured the country this summer and met jobless Canadians – who would “laugh in your face” if asked whether Harper deserves a majority. He said it’s no longer possible to work with a man so contemptuous of basic Canadian values, and reiterated his plan to bring down the Conservative government. “(Harper’s) already lost the confidence of the House once,” Ignatieff said, referring to the attempted coalition takedown of the Tories last year. “He’s about to lose it a second time.” http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5iR0p08b5Dvq1t7rAD-_6YGDLOEbA

“It’s this kind of hyper-partisan description of every adversary as an enemy that makes it difficult to make Parliament work,” offered Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff,   indicative of the PM’s “spiteful attitude” toward the courts and the “institutions which guarantee our freedom.”

Prime Minister  Harper how you can get a majority government when Quebec clearly and rightfully  rejects you is beyond most of us… A disenchanted Tory adviser in Quebec is now in talks with the Bloc Quebecois about running for the separatist party.  The loss of Pierre Brien is yet another blow to declining Tory fortunes in the province, and a potential new weapon for the separatists in any coming election. Brien sat as a Bloc Quebecois MP until 2003, when he left the party to run for the Action Democratique du Quebec (ADQ). He was working on contract as an adviser to Public Works Minister Christian Paradis — Stephen Harper’s Quebec lieutenant — until last month. Brien confirmed Thursday that he is in preliminary talks with the Bloc.  His departure is another sign, say Conservative insiders, of a malaise they just can’t shake in the province. Many are concerned about holding on to the party’s 10 seats in Quebec amid flagging polling numbers “The situation in Quebec leaves much to be desired and is worse than last year,” one senior Tory conceded. Quebec’s Le Devoir newspaper reported Thursday that an internal analysis recently commissioned for the party in the province predicted the Conservatives might lose six of their seats in a federal election. http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Politics/2009/09/10/10827031-cp.html

“It doesn’t have to be true. It just has to be plausible.” said Tom Flanagan, Conservative Prime Minister Harper’s former adviser,  so more  lies, damned lies, and  , the lies include scare tactics,  as “ he’ll do anything that could get a majority  ” ,   Conservative Prime Minister Harper in desperation, to maintain power, tries  to consolidate his base outside of Quebec and to try to scare enough undecided voters in the rest of Canada to not vote Liberal.  The Gazette (Montreal)

And speaking of personal delusions too sadly.. During last year’s election campaign, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Canada would not suffer an economic recession and the federal government would not run a budget deficit. In the budget, Flaherty had predicted that the government would begin running budget surpluses again in 2013-14 but he now says there will be an $11.2 billion defict that year, followed by another deficit of $5.2 billion the following year. He said the deficit this year will hit $55.9 billion, up from the $33.7 billion shortfall predicted in January. And next year’s deficit will hit $45.3 billion, up from the January prediction of $30 billion.

Meanwhile Police raid ends jetliner hijacking in Mexico. Five Canadians were among the passengers caught up in a bizarre hijacking in Mexico. Right winged ‘Religious fanatic preacher’ hijacked Mexican plane. Christ is coming soon,” he added, smiling. Jose Flores, a 44-year-old Bolivian preacher. ex self confessed drug addict,  who lives in Mexico, said he had gotten the word from God that he had to warn Mexicans of an impending disaster — an earthquake “like none there has ever been,” so he hijacked a plane to tell his message directly to the Mexican president. “He said he had tried to speak to the president for three months and since there hadn’t been an answer he decided to use these type of threats with an airline,”  The jet had been flying between the eastern city of Cancun and the capital Mexico City when it was seized. Jose Flores Pereira,  had threatened to blow up the plane unless he was able to speak to the Mexican president Felipe Calderon.  Mr Flores,  next said he had used a can of juice to look like a bomb when he attempted the hijacking.  He said he had acted on Wednesday, as the date, September 9th 2009, represented the number 9/9/9/ – the inverse of 6/6/6 the “number of the beast”.   Mr Flores had had a “revelation that Mexico was facing a great danger and was threatened by an earthquake”.  A total of 112 people were onboard the AeroMexico Flight 576 including Mexicans, Americans and French. They have been freed by police after the plane in which they were travelling was hijacked in Mexico landed safely.  Mexican officials claim no-one was hurt during the incident.  His wife, Elizabeth Melgar, said that Flores “always told me that he was looking for a way to attract the attention of the media … he always told me that he was waiting for a signal from God to do something.”  Good thing he wasn’t trying to hijack the federal government now too. Now this unfortunate guilty bully, abuser, liar, he can have real time to read and practise the Bible in jail.

Wrongful inactions, Cover ups, False denial of false christians, false  pastors, false priests are much too common.

Unemployment will continue to rise and hit 9 per cent next year, up from the 7.7 per cent predicted in the January budget, the government said.

Ottawa’s finances are in much worse shape than previously forecast and the Conservatives no longer have any idea when they can balance the books. “Mr. Flaherty has a credibility problem. The Conservative federal government has a credibility problem,” Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff    Toronto Star

Harper’s own hypocrisy is often visible. If others do it, it is wrong, but if he does it it is always justifiable. Doubled standard Harper still too.  Harper was ‘dishonest’: Democracy Watch  Prime Minister Harper is a dishonest lawbreaker because he gave false reasons for calling the snap federal election last September in violation of his own fixed-election-date law,” Democracy Watch co-ordinator Duff Conacher said Tuesday. He did so despite passing changes to the Canada Elections Act in 2007 that set the next vote for Oct. 19, 2009, unless the government fell on a confidence matter first. Federal votes were to be held every four years after that.  Federal justice department lawyers, acting for Prime Minister Harper, told the court that the prime minister doesn’t call an election; rather the Governor General does. And nothing in the fixed election date law restricts the Governor General’s actions nor does it say anything about the advice the prime minister is allowed to give to others. Democracy Watch says Harper’s opportunistic move broke the spirit if not the letter of the legislation – The prime minister’s diversion to the Governor General is merely a distortion, another of the prime minister’s many lies. Harper still lies too often.  It’s now up to a judge to decide whether Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s snap election call a year ago was not just politically self-serving but also illegal.

Harper names former Tory minister to head appeals court  Canwest News Service September 10, 2009 11:13 AM OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper has appointed a former Conservative cabinet minister as chief justice of the Federal Court of Appeal. Justice Pierre Blais, who served in several portfolios in the cabinet of former prime minister Brian Mulroney, takes over from Justice John Richard, who retired in June. Blais, a 11-year-veteran of the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, receives his promotion at a time when the two courts are under increasing scrutiny for their enhanced role of adjudicating high-profile cases involving national security and terrorism. The Conservatives have recently lost several cases in the two courts, including a high-profile defeat last month when the appeal court upheld an order for the Harper Conservatives to seek the repatriation of Canadian terror suspect Omar Khadr from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.    http://www.ottawacitizen.com/Harper+names+former+Tory+minister+head+appeals+court/1979619/story.html

Harper also described how their party was keeping leftists from being appointed to public institutions – including the courts. The Bloc says it’s particularly bothered by that comment about the judiciary. Leader Gilles Duceppe says, behind closed doors, Harper sounds like a member of the radical fringe of the U.S. Republican party. The NDP calls the remarks low politics that undermine Canada’s justice system.

Stephen Harper, Canadian prime minister has appointed another chief justice of the B.C. Supreme Court.  Robert Bauman, who formerly sat on the B.C. Court of Appeal. Bauman’s appointment takes effect immediately, Perhaps the more important issue isn’t whether or not Bauman is soft on drunk drivers or excessively eager to uphold the interests of powerful institutions. It’s the fact that he was appointed by the prime minister and not elected by his peers on the bench of the B.C. Supreme Court.  As chief justice, Bauman has enormous power. He has sole authority over assigning cases to judges in his court.  Bauman can grant requests for early trial dates and ask for meetings with other judges. He can decide who will hear applications concerning the validity of search warrants or whether the information to obtain these search warrants should be sealed from public scrutiny. In a 1995 book called Judicial Conduct and Accountability, Ontario judge T. David Marshall claimed that the biggest threat to the independence of the judiciary in Canada is the chief justices themselves. They deal directly with provincial governments on securing financial resources to administer justice in their courts.  Marshall also criticized the practice of elevating judges from one level of court to another, suggesting that this created an incentive for some to tailor their rulings to enhance the likelihood of a promotion. Harper likes to talk a lot about accountability, but his insistence on retaining sole authority over the appointment of chief justices of the superior courts demonstrates that his actions don’t always match his words. http://www.straight.com/article-256725/stephen-harper-chief-justice-frank-bauman-and-judicial-accountability

Conservative Prime Minister Harper’s ” federal appointment of a new chief justice of the B.C. Supreme Court without any public debate has led to a call for revamping the process for deciding who heads the trial division and appeal courts in provinces across the country.” As” managerial skills are among the top requirements for the job. “Without demeaning the importance of a judge having a good basis in jurisprudence, what you want that person to do is manage the court as efficiently as possible,” “What I have been worried about is that, given the orientation of this government to introduce more right-wing ideology into courts, they might pick people who do not have those managerial skills and were viewed as more ideologically right wing… appointments should be made after a review by a committee of representatives from the law societies, bar associations, law schools and parliamentarians. The committee would evaluate judges on the basis of criteria that are publicly known,  ” federal NDP justice critic Joe Comartin   Globe and Mail

Skype, Magic Jack

skype_1-266x400

Skype finally hits iPhones in Canada.  Skype is finally releasing a downloadable application for Apple’s popular iPhone in Canada,   Iphone and iPod Touch owners will be able to download it to their device for free, whereupon they can use Skype’s internet-based calling service. This is the beginning of the end for the telcos. Sell your Rogers, Bell, Telus stock today. As free WiFi continues to spread there will be no need for voice or data plans. Who is going to drop 100/month when the exact same service is available free? see   http://www.iphoneincanada.ca/tips-tricks/how-to-make-unlimited-calls-to-canadausa-with-skype-on-the-iphone-for-3month/  “Wireless carriers have so far prohibited the application from using the iPhone’s cellular internet connection to make calls, because doing so means customers could drop their voice plans altogether.” The companies want control, control, control. The (very bad) CRTC will stand up for the rights of all big businesses to push consumers around and deliberately remove features that people want, leaving no alternative.. I took a MagicJack * option and for about $100.00 I have no more phone bills for any calls in North America for six years and that included the hardware as well.  With an American number (mine is out of Seattle) and wireless connectivity everywhere and anywhere in the world there is an open network; MagicJack is not subject to the same whims and requirements of the myopic Canadian regulators… let alone the needs of law enforcement.  Plug any phone into MagicJack Never pay a monthly phone bill again! Skype – Make free calls and great value calls on the internet With Skype you can make free calls over the internet to other people on Skype for as long as you like, to wherever you like. It is free to download, Skype (pronounced /ˈskaɪp/) is a software application that allows users to make voice calls over the Internet. Skype-to-Skype calls, video calls and instant messaging are free, any time of the day or night, anywhere in the world. Call phones from Skype Save money when you call landlines and cell phones around the world at low, per-minute rates. Or, buy a subscription for unlimited calls.* Download Skype to get started You need Windows 2000, XP or Vista to run Skype. Skype is costing money to run,  in much the same way that YouTube has become a financial burden for Google. Both companies have wrestled long and hard to monetise these businesses to a point where they become cash flow positive. There is no question that Skype is a popular service and that it offers a great set of features to users. It also has great appeal to small businesses and sole traders, allowing users to run their entire business from a laptop. Skype is not a replacement for your traditional telephone service and cannot be used for emergency calling. http://www.skype.com/intl/en/getconnected/

* Magic Jack – Not A Bad Gadget for Free Calling But Forget About Customer Service if a Billing Error is Made  All the Clear Calls You Want – But Little Customer Support on Mistakes They Make in Charges, just like most firms it seems anyway.. Magic Jack is a tiny gadget that plugs into the USB port of your PC. Any phone can then be connected to Magic Jack, and – voila – all the free domestic calls you want (and prepaid International calls can be made for .02 a minute). When purchased by calling the number shown in the infomercial Magic Jack, itself, costs $39.99.  System requirements include Apple/Mac, Windows XP or Vista, as well as a high-speed Internet connection. I do not recommend ordering the device over their automated phone order-processing. It is too easy to have an error occur at the end, when they ask if you want priority shipping, the second year, and any additional devices. They do have their website, where orders can be placed and where, perhaps,  errors may be less likely to occur. MagicJack is now being sold at a number of retailers (which is very different than when I purchased mine).  In view of the guarantee on the device, I, personally, don’t see how anyone can go too wrong with it.

Telus unable to sign new mobile customers… “poor customer service from telus is news?  That’s a “Mickey Mouse” Provider anyway.  Am I am supposed to feel sorry for them? Does this warrant coverage? Karma someone said.. Wait, people are still signing up for Teuls? You can’t speak to anyone……and when you do it’s like talking to your dog…….the only difference is you get a responce from your dog. .. their high speed internet services are also terrible. Poor customer relations as well as trouble getting thru technical support.  Telus probably went over thier bandwith cap or even better..they are throttled… by Bell or Rogers?  Maybe telus should find a better service provider. Telus uses a lot of Dell equipment which should be all you need to know.  this couldn’t happen to a better gouging, money hungry corp. Their record of poor service and arbitrary contract fees, etc has finally caught up with them. My most common telemarketing call: Telus, of course. Desperate fools, I’m NEVER coming back. I’ve had satellite with Bell (terrible service), I’ve had a cell phone through Rogers (nightmare) and both internet and landline through telus (clunky incompetent service)… None can I say went smoothly.  Is anyone happy with any Canadian provider? ” http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2009/09/09/telus-new-customers-outage.html

I really do love to read the news comments at the CBC or the Globe & Mail.. they are very hilarious too.

Stephen Harper’and his Conservatives challenged

LOST-PC

Given the clearly pretentious state of Conservative public discourse, and the tendency of many elected Conservative officials to not want to upset the powerful corporate, personal, religious  interests that pay for their political campaigns, I too would be surprised if anything significant happens from the Conservatives except cheap words, false promises and more spin doctoring. We now see more and more news media spins and lies too from the Conservatives. In reality the Conservatives have not done much, have not done much good now too, only unacceptably  put more of their friends into good paying jobs.

The final mathematics of a Conservative campaign based on FEAR MONGERING, SCARE TACTICS,  false speculations of of a FEDERAL post-election unholy alliance between separatists, socialists and the federal Liberals does not easily add up to a majority next still for them . A Conservative party analysis obtained by Le Devoir reveals that if an election had been held last month, the government could have expected to lose at least six of its 10 Quebec seats. THE BQ BOGEYMAN TACTIC WILL HAVE EVEN A MORE NEGATIVE EFFECT IN QUEBEC NEXT TOO. ” If he does take the road of a demonizing fear campaign to a majority, the Prime Minister will in essence be asking voters in the rest of Canada to reward him for taking a wrecking ball to his party’s bridges to the province of Quebec.” Chantal Hébert

MONTREAL – Quebec doesn’t need anti-sovereigntist rhetoric from the federal government while it copes with the global economic crisis, Premier Jean Charest said late Wednesday after hearing Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s televised address to the nation. Charest’s reaction followed an earlier warning to federal politicians against attacking the Bloc Quebecois and engaging in Quebec bashing as they verbally slug it out in the political clash on Parliament Hill “We must respect the choice that was made democratically by all citizens and all Quebecers,” Charest said as he left a rally in Ste-Marie. “And there are, economically, things to settle. We should focus on that. It is the No. 1 priority. Quebec does not need political instability and rhetoric that divides people.”  .”"I live in a society where people can be federalist or sovereigntist but they respect each other,” Charest said in Quebec City. “The same should be true in the federal Parliament.”Charest pointed out that 1.4 million Quebec voters had cast ballots for the Bloc in the Oct. 14 federal election and it has the political legitimacy to allow it to sit in Parliament.Charest said he found it regrettable that the opponents of the coalition had engaged in an argument tainted by “Quebec bashing.”  ”There have been people who have fallen into this trap,” he said  noting the priority now should be the economy.”

Parti Quebecois Leader Pauline Marois turned her fire on Harper Wednesday evening after the prime minister addressed Canadians on television. She accused him of embracing “unacceptable” Quebec bashing instead of reaching out to break the deadlock that grips the government. She said it was the end of so-called open federalism. “Tonight, the masks have fallen,” she said. “I believe that Quebecers are deeply disappointed by the attitude of Mr. Harper.”  http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/34210874.html

Harper’s 2008 election call to be challenged. The Federal Court of Canada is scheduled to hear arguments Tuesday against the election call last fall by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Democracy Watch, a citizens’ group that monitors ethics in government, is to argue before the court in Ottawa that Harper violated his own legislation by calling the election before he’d served four years in office. This motion was filed last year immediately after the election was called, the court ruled it did not have sufficient time to circumvent the election process and therefore the arguments should be heard afterwards. This is not suddenly a random event trying to put a particular spin on things at the right time. Get your facts straight before you start using propaganda to bash on the left side of the aisle… And for the record, there is significant evidence that Harper did break his own election law through calling the election. Can’t blame the Liberals for this one!!!!http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/08/democracy-watch008.html

Prime Minister Harper has claimed that it would be “dangerous” for the ruling party to initiate inquiries into past prime minister’s actions, but when they were in opposition Conservative MPs called for an inquiry into the Liberal government’s investigation into and settlement payment with Mr. Mulroney, and more recently the Conservatives did not find it at all dangerous:

  • to appoint an Independent Advisor last April to review the federal Liberal government’s public opinion research practices between 1990 and March 31, 2003, and to promise in their election platform to follow-up with a judicial inquiry “if required”, and;
  • to promise in their election platform to create a more independent public prosecutions office and to “Give the Director of Public Prosecutions the mandate to review recent decisions on prosecutions in the sponsorship scandal and other matters which have been the subject of investigation by the Auditor General and the Ethics Counsellor or Commissioner.”

“Judicial inquiries into questionable past actions by politicians and government officials are not dangerous, they are very much needed to determine whether wrongdoing occurred and whether wrongdoers were effectively penalized,” said Duff Conacher, Coordinator of Democracy Watch.  “Any politician with integrity will continue to push for inquiries to be held into many questionable situations in federal politics in the past 15 years.”

Inquiries are needed into 16 questionable situations in federal Canadian politics from the past 15 years!  For details, click here

Stephen Harper’s Conservatives were re-elected with a minority government too, not a majority one, on the strength of his Conservative campaign that mostly denied the prospect, the existence of a any Recession itself. “They did much more than that –they totally misled the public — and were re-elected on that basis!” Since we all next have seen the reality of this lie of no recession lie even by the number of people who have lost their jobs, at least 500,000 and more, Stephen Harper’s Conservatives minority government now is also being challenged on their failure to even adequately deal with the needs of these unemployed persons. Why do some still in the news media always seem to be biased, want to favor the Con losers even though they know deep inside the Harper Cons are Incompetent, Inept and Wrong for the country? Cause some of the news do also media want to get more news reporting breaks with the PM and PMO. Spin doctors, liars with hidden agenda, the world is full of them. And so are some in the news media, who AS A REWARD next do hope to GET A SEAT IN SENATE, OR AN NICE CUSHY GOVERNMENT JOB. even as an ambassador, government general or what ever. That is why many rightfully do not believe every thing the news reporters or news editors write now too.

Canada’s economic  recovery is supposedly depended mostly on the economic recovery of Alberta which depends on the price of crude oil. World oil demand will fall by over 2m barrels-a-day this year, the sharpest fall since 1980, according to Shell.  This time last year, firms were riding high on the back of oil prices that peaked at $147 a barrel. But the global recession pushed prices almost down to $30 a barrel early in 2009. So in reality  Oil giant Shell now prepares to cut more jobs.  The report on company protest site royaldutchshellplc.com  said about 15% of jobs in the exploration and production unit will be lost and employees will be told early this week. ‘We simply don’t know when the global economy will recover, and we have to plan on the basis that this downturn could last quite some time,’ The drop off in demand, while predicted to happen, has come much sooner and is sharper than most economists expected.

“Someone should inform Duceppe that a Leader of the Federal Government in Canada has to look out for the interests of ALL Canadians and not just those of Quebec. Then again, what use does a separatist have for the rest of Canada?” He only selfishly cares about himself like many Albertans now too.   ”I noticed that the Conservative attack ads started up again this morning.  I guess everybody is in election mode now.” http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/08/gilles-duceppe.html

Unoriginal, unimaginative, rather incompetent Conservatives also do like to copy other people’s ideas so they use attack adds, cause they have been successfully used against them to keep them as a minority government.

VOTE ABC -  ANYTHING BUT CONSERVATIVE

“We can do better” – a very good slogan choice   ”I, for one, will be THRILLED to vote for the Liberals come next election! :) “ It’s about time we had some class in Canadian politics.    http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/06/liberal-ads-ignatieff.html

Hypocritical conservative Public Safety Minister Peter Van Loan warned Wednesday that a federal election would jeopardize efforts by the Conservative government to get tough on crime. He does not need another unenforced Bill to start to get tough on Crime, for what has he done to start off now  in reality first about the much too many abusive, no good , immoral RCMP? Nothing again? Unacceptable.

Taiwanization or Borking

 israel

“The Obama administration cannot demand accountability for serious violations in places like Sudan and Congo but let allies like Israel go free “ Sarah Leah Whitson, Human Rights Watch

UN Finds Signs of War Crimes on Both Sides in Gaza New York Times -   A United Nations fact-finding mission investigating the three-week war in Gaza issued a lengthy, scathing report on Tuesday that concluded that both the Israeli military and Palestinian armed groups “committed actions amounting to war crimes, and possibly crimes against humanity.” …

**Jews, Israel for a start falsely, to try to get the support of others, even like to use the term anti Semite often, as a false diversion  even for a start,  as  they here supposedly want to say that they alone are not the objects of the hate, racial  attack but so are the others..  Although the term anti-Semitism has wide currency, it is regarded  as a misnomer, falsely now  implying discrimination against all Semites, including all Arabs and other peoples, who now firstly are not the clear targets of anti-Semitism today as it is usually the fact. It is not the past Jewish culture being attacked now too, but rather their presently specific now bad  personal acts, poor values associated with Israel, especially when they the Jews too often and  falsely, undeniably too now, the chosen ones,   tend to think they are now really superior to all other nations too and they can do what they want, for they can do no wrong. Rather this is not so in reality, they the Jews too can be held accountable for their too often now bad acts as well… even against the Palestinians. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/anti-jewish/
I do believe some persons are wrongfully deliberate racists and they should be punished for it. Many persons are unintentionally racists and often they see the false racist act of others and become accomplices rather in the matter by not speaking out against it. Some persecution in life is unavailable it seems. But nevertheless it is also true that if a person wants to have friend, they must work at it, they must show themselves friendly, and personal friendship costs some sacrifices too, friendship and respect are generally not automatic, they have to be earned it seems as well. But we must all have enforced human rights, the right to education, to live, to work, freedom to speak and to be heard, freedom of religion as well.

“The Taiwanization of Israel continues. A current contre temps at the Toronto International Film Festival (appropriately abbreviated TIFF) involves a filmmaker withdrawing his entry to protest festival organizers having invited filmmakers from “an apartheid regime” to exhibit theirs. The flick being pulled isn’t likely to set the world of cinema on fire, so in this sense the affair is a tempest in a teapot. However, the issue is tempestuous enough.”   http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2009/09/05/george-jonas-the-tortured-logic-of-israel-boycotters.aspx

and why would I have now even had expected anything different from this invalid distortion of the reality, truth from  the right winged National Post again?

Look who is coming to this year’s event anyway  http://www.cbc.ca/photogallery/arts/2520/

Toronto film festival accused of pushing Israeli propaganda. TORONTO — The filmmaker-led protest over the Toronto International Film Festival’s Tel Aviv spotlight is to include a press conference Sept. 10, on the festival’s opening day. A spokesman for about 50 filmmakers, academics and activists, including Jane Fonda and Danny Glover, who last week signed an open letter criticizing Toronto for selecting Tel Aviv for its inaugural city-to-city sidebar said details on the presser are being worked out. “Looking at modern, sophisticated Tel Aviv without also considering the city’s past and the realities of Israeli occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza strip, would be like rhapsodizing about the beauty and elegant lifestyles in white-only Cape Town or Johannesburg during apartheid without acknowledging the corresponding black townships of Khayelitsha and Soweto.” The controversy started last week when Canadian filmmaker John Greyson withdrew his film from the festival in protest.

The far Right, Jews, even Arabs, fundamentalists, others itself often still coerces  others who do not go along with them by “Borking” them.   ”Taiwanizing”  means calumniating, ostracizing, excluding and hopefully ultimately de-legitimizing a country. Doing the same thing to a person is called “Borking”. Borking  is “to attack a person’s reputation and views unfairly,” includes the concerted attack on the challenger’s  character, background and philosophy.. Example to fire an honest government official in an attempt to prevent embarrassment to and exposure of a dishonest government officeholder who has conspired to commit high crimes, the 1973 unacceptable firing, massacre of Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox by Solicitor General Robert Bork, orchestrated by both  Bork and President Richard Nixon .  Conservative activists have been making the same action over and over again in regard to the so called liberals, leftists, news media  reporters: The borked opponents aren’t debated but merely  shut  down, censored,  their free speech denied, and often next immediately they are forcibly removed, kicked out, never allowed to be discussed again too by anyone,  and hopefully insuring their person and his views being totally excluded from the rest of the local group, community. The fact this is too often practiced in too many evangelical churches of all places is astounding. The real Irony and hypocrisy is the right wing often claim they rather now are being Borked even while they are Borking the others. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/08/31/get-real-now/

As a professional, University graduate I now  was always solely responsible for my work output, no one told me how to do it too, I had always worked on my own with minimum supervision. I step into a church, in many or most churches I am treated as if I am now in pre school generally, I am immediately given a whole bunch of rules, even as to where I can sit, what I can wear, how much money I should give to the church, what I can do and cannot do etc.. mostly a totally demonic, controlling, dominating environment, so much so that  I rightfully often think that  the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ themselves are not allowed to express themselves, not given freedom to manifest themselves too. If I dare to openly question anything I  am threatened with police action and immediate church dismissal too. Forget about being showed mutual respect in this caged circus rather. This is all just perversity and not freedom in Christ.  Thank God that not all churches now are like this.

More right winged Borking. Only Men can still wear offensive clothing. More hypocrisy, double standards too. While a Sudan woman is spared a flogging for wearing trousers.. Allah is great, and obviously hates trousers.  But it wasn’t that long ago women here in Canada had to deal with such nonsense too. Good thing they don’t impose these strict rules in WalMarts around the world for the people now wearing clearly offensive clothing. There would have to be a  really wide  ’flogging aisle”. http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2009/09/07/sudan-trousers-flogging007.html

Sudanese ‘trousers woman’ jailed    A Sudanese woman has been jailed for a month after refusing to pay a fine for “dressing indecently” by wearing trousers, her lawyers say.

Sudanese woman jailed in trouser case freed Reuters -   KHARTOUM, Sept 8 (Reuters) – A Sudanese woman jailed for wearing trousers deemed indecent in a landmark court case was freed on Tuesday after the country’s journalists’ union paid a $200 fine on her behalf, the head of the media body …

What Robert Bork the same person who Borked others himself next got Borked? Why should anyone next be surprised? Supposedly the Democrats savaged Ronald Reagan’s nominee, the Appeals Court judge Robert H. Bork,  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Bork

Meanwhile in JERUSALEM — Israel officially approved the construction of hundreds of new homes in the West Bank, the Defense Ministry said Monday, deepening an already unprecedented rift with the U.S. over Israeli settlement expansion.  The construction is the first approved by the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is under heavy U.S. pressure to freeze all settlement activity on captured lands claimed by the Palestinians for a future state. Israel also plans to complete an additional 2,500 homes already under way. The bad way Israel treats Palestinians, kills others today is for  me in reality not much different over  the way the Jews  were treated by the Nazis. This is not loving your neighbour as yourself for sure.

All across Canada and in the United States, there is an organized campaign to suppress criticism of Israeli policies toward the Palestinians. http://intifada-palestine.com/2009/09/01/is-it-anti-semitic-to-defend-palestinian-human-rights/

Good Tips on Keeping that New PC Clean and Pure, Safe, working…
” Here is what you need to do before you do anything else.
First check your actual ISP speed http://www.acanac.ca/speedtest/

Lately supposedly  the reason many even Vista personal computers seem to freeze up  is that some people have not updated all of their software, especially their Adobe software,  that Microsoft explorer also uses such as http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ http://get.adobe.com/reader/   http://get.adobe.com/air/

see also   Basic computer troubleshooting http://www.computerhope.com/basic.htm

1: CHECK YOUR FIREWALL SETTINGS Do this before you even connect your computer to the Internet. Firewalls prevent certain unwanted traffic from reaching your computer, including worms that spread through network connections. New laptops and desktops with Windows Vista (and, come Oct. 22, the next version of the operating system, Windows 7) and netbooks using Windows XP SP2 or higher have a firewall that is built in and turned on by default. You can make sure all is well by going to the Windows Security Center, clicking Start, then Control Panel, then Security Center and Windows Firewall.

2: CONTINUALLY  UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE Even though you have a new machine, chances are that security fixes have been issued since the manufacturer loaded the software, so you will want to download those as soon as you get online.

Your new PC may prompt you to check for updates from Microsoft, but, if not, open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, then All Programs and then Windows Update. On the left pane, click “check for updates.” (For more information about Windows Security, see microsoft.com/protect.)

3: ADD SECURITY SOFTWARE Firewalls won’t help fend off viruses or Trojan horses that can come through e-mail messages, Web sites and pop-up ads. Given the frightening number of malicious programs that aim for Windows PCs, owners of these machines really need to use some security software. There are several free antivirus programs, like AVG 8.5 Free, Avast Antivirus and the forthcoming Microsoft Security Essentials, so even penniless students have no excuse to go without. Note that Vista comes with Windows Defender, which blocks spyware and pop-up ads, and that program can be downloaded free by Windows XP SP2 machines.

Since a lot of malicious programs now come through Web sites, you will also want to use one of the many free tools available to help you avoid malicious sites. Microsoft’s newest browser, Internet Explorer 8, will warn you if you try to visit sites it deems unsafe, deceptive or carriers of a common Web attack type called “cross-site scripting” attacks. Other browsers, including Chrome, Firefox and Safari, also warn users about potentially unsafe sites, using a blacklist kept by Google. 4: AUTOMATIC UPDATES everything, download Secunia PSI, a free tool that will help you make sure that all the programs on your PC get security patches.

5 BE CAREFUL Speaking of that, always be careful about which software you install from the Internet, OR FROM OTHERS, whether you have a PC or a Mac. These programs can contain vulnerabilities, and pirated programs and random add-ons may be outright malicious. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/03/technology/personaltech/03basics.html?_r=1&em

6: BACK UP YOUR HARD DRIVE. External hard drives are cheap these days, about 100 dollars, so back up all, all of your computer on an external flash drive periodically… admit it or not, the chance of getting at least one had drive crash is a definite possibility for whatever reasons now too, and you will be glad you had your computer backed up.

another federal election

  Canada_flag png

These days  we are officially in another electoral pre-season because of Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff expected, predictable decision to rightfully  yank the welcome carpet out from under Stephen Harper and his  minority Conservatives. Anyone, any ostriches,  who were, are surprised at this  are  unreal for that has always been a Liberal Goal. Canadians deserve better than the Conservative government

Ignatieff accused the Harper government of being “irresponsible” and “disconnected from reality” for initially denying the country was vulnerable to a recession and a deficit and then later announcing an expected $50-billion deficit.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper says that he hasn’t met a single Canadian who wants a fall election. OBVIOUSLY HE REFUSES TO READ MY EMAIL OR MY BLOG and he talks ONLY TO PEOPLE WHO AGREE WITH HIM, HE SOUNDS LIKE MY EX RIGHT WINGED PASTOR NOW TOO. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/08/31/get-real-now/ copy to pm@gc.ca

I have lost any confidence rightfully too to believe anything a Conservative minister now says! and some new reporters as well..

VOTERS2

Democracy, we live in exciting times in Canada  – another federal election.  It is an absolute lie that now that nobody wants an election over Employment Insurance (EI) at least not right now.  Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff’s threat to topple Stephen Harper’s Tories is  now welcome news to many Canadians, even to 2/3 OF PERSONS ON THE NET. Another minority government or not it  really does makes many people happy to see Stephen Harper go out of office next. Harper  this year alone is spending hundreds of millions of dollars of voters’ money during a recession to promote his government  and getting more jobs for his friends and this is totally irresponsible. Maybe PM Stephen Harper  is not  bothered by how he spends our tax payers money, but many Canadians  are bothered by this. Instead of looking after all of the voters, however, Harper has been mostly playing political games still too now and breaking many of his own past promises.  And that is the biggest reason for the Conservatives’ present political malaise in central Canada . During hard economic times such as these, WE ALL DO need,  want a leader who not only understands the wants and needs of all of the people, even the middle class, but also inspires confidence in others by visible his ability to lead this great  country with the right balance of compassion and fiscal responsibility. Harper  NOW CLEARLY DOES NOT have the ability to do this. HARPER  NOW IDENTIFIES WITH THE RICH AND seems the least likely to identify with Canada’s working class. Harper, one would think, would have had  have a better grasp of middle class issues however his religious and personal upbringing have clearly not led him to this. Also, Harper’s control freak tendencies makes it hard, impossible  for him to get along with any others, be they also the voters or those in his own party.  Who needs such a poor leader now? We all need to write to the news editors country wide and say how we really do  support a new federal election. I readily and rightfully do too.

Flahery and Peter MacKay also openly oppose the new elections for they rightfuly might get fired now too and why should  they not be also fired?

Flaherty   responding to the report by parliamentary budget officer Kevin  Page’s predictions too pessimistic Mr. Page is neither pessimistic nor optimistic in his economic forecasts, but honest and more accurate than any other government source. Honesty and accuracy are two qualities sorely lacking in Mr. Flaherty’s predictions. http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2009/07/09/flaherty-page-budget-pessimistic.html

Canada’s federal finance Minister Flaherty to unveil budget plan later this month. Given that the little weasel has been wrong on every point to date can we assume that he is right on this one? Not.  It sounds like we’re in for another installment of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, but it will have a happy ending because there’s an election in the wind. The Conservatives in their current incarnation will NEVER get a majority. They’ve moved so far right in the political spectrum that a full 2/3’s of Canada exists on the “Anybody But Conservative”. All as Simple as ABC  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/04/flaherty-budget-deficit-plan-surplus.html

10 Questions I think Canadians Should be asking themselves…

I’d really appreciate an honest assessment of Harper from all on this site. I am not asking if you like Harper, or don’t. I simply am curious to see what people think right now:

1) Are we better off now than 3-4 years ago when Harper took over?

2) Is our economy stronger?

3) Are we taking care of our elderly, disabled and sick properly?

4) Is our image abroad better now?

5) Does our government project a good image for Canada?

6) Does our government do all it can to assist Canadians in trouble abroad?

7) Are Human Rights in Canada being monitored and governed properly?

8) Is Canada more unified now than 3 years ago?

9) Are all regions of the country treated equally by our government?

10) Is government working more efficiently, more transparently and open, and in ways that benefit all Canadians equally?

You took the words out of my mouth. Harper is such a hypocrite. Certainly demonstrates how stupid he thinks we are. Liberals or Conservatives …. what difference does it make ? Both are now controlled by Big Corporate interests, Big Oil and the banksters and by foreign interests. Both have become puppets of Big Corp. ( Even Bell wrongfully tells them what to do) http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/03/harper-election090309.html#

The Liberals will never have a majority government without the full support also of many of the internet users. Which they do not have presently too. The undeniable fact is the internet customers  are still even now really upset that the Liberal Government really does nothing at the federal and provincial level about the lack of real, valid consumer protection for all ISP, internet users, and rather should be really stopping  the false ongoing clear abuse of the internet user customers by the big ISPs too.

Sinners

pinocchio-paradox

One of the worst things you can do is to think that such a person, spouse, relative, family member, pastor, politician is a nice guy, OR ANY INSTITUTION, CHURCH NOW AS WELL  and so it  is worth being worshipped, praised.. well cause very shortly God will show you really what even the person now is really like, a sinner like all the rest of us.. and the political party, organization, church you worshipped..  If you also do try to maintain you are a good person now as well, God will not let that false pride stand before him as well and he will show to you and many others what you really are still are like.. For God is a jealous God and will have no false  idols NOW before him.. God says without me you can do nothing, nothing good that will last permanently, that the canker worms will next not destroy as well.. I have seen so many good guys in my life, some have been my close good friends, but real life next showed to us all what they really were like next too.. sinners.  ROCK STARS, JUSTICE MINISTERS, ATTORNEY GENERALS, RCMP, PREMIERS, PRIME MINISTERS  INCLUDED NOW .. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/09/07/sinners/

If we all got the Karma of what we are due.. it would be Hell.

Cure for stress, high blood pressure, heart attack

heart

Hypertension another  leading personal cause of heart attacks, strokes and other major medical problems. For most North Americans even if you don’t have high blood pressure now, you need to make a serious lifestyle, food  adjustments now to avoid personal health problems, especially Cancer and Heart diseases next  in one’s future.   A person is considered hypertensive with a blood-pressure reading of 140/90 millimetres of mercury (mmHg) or higher. Healthy adults should have a blood pressure in the range of 120/80 mmHg, although that target varies with age and other health conditions. There are many DIFFERENT factors that contribute to high blood pressure, including first the type of one’s food consumption, too much read meat, not enough fruit and vegetables,  being overweight, a lack of physical activity, excessive sodium consumption and aging. Hypertension, while it has few obvious symptoms, is a leading risk factor for heart disease, stroke, diabetes and kidney disease. To Help with many person’s medical symptoms of their diseases often we may still  have to deal with the root causes of their sicknesses too.. including their stress, anxieties, their wrong doings too.\\

We seem to know that heart problems are prevalent in all ages too. I have also seen many seniors die the last few months in Hospitals, old age homes, and many of them could have been helped a lot more too. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/04/05/canadas-rapidly-increasing-aging-seniors/

I too have found one of the free great cure, a help to relieve my high blood pressure *, stress, and instead of keeping it all boiled up inside, I express it, share it with everyone else all of  the things that rightfully have peeved me off, and it seems I keep on coming back to my favorite complaints until they actually get resolved including:

  • Double standarded Conservatives for one example Peter MacKay Conservative MP  or Stephen Harper MP
  • No good RCMP No one, No one could automatically believe the police, RCMP unless
  • Fed up with all Conservatives Conservatives, Expiry date- Expired   Harper Conservatives running scared   In spite of past promises Harper unleashes flood of patronage
  • Fed up with Bell, CRTC and the others Commissioner for Complaints for Telecommunications Services,  Federal Consumer protection? Ha ha ha   CRTC is clearly in Bell’s bad pocket again
  • Not enough is being done about the drunk drivers, alcoholics in the government too Drink Alcohol and Die
  • Too many politicians still lie to get elected Canada wide Pie in the sky – Pie in the Face   Interesting reading, comments too, Liberal & Conservative Politicians do lie too
  • Bad Spouse and lawyers who lie, perjure themselves in the courts Divorce And Remarriage In The Christian Church
  • Medicare short comings l care.. CANADIAN HEALTH CARE medical cartoons
  • Bad, unacceptable evangelical preachers http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/anti-jewish/
  • Bad governments It’s about time Ontario cleans house  Unacceptable A year after listeriosis, our food is no safer
  • Really unacceptable lies still  Canada’s Unemployment figures lie   More hidden Cash grabs. higher taxes
  •  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/02/15/quebec-doctors-want-a-legal-pardon-for-their-murders-of-citizens-patients/

Two tier Justice.  Imagine that the Nova Scotia  MLAs are entitled to spend $45,000 a year,  tax free income too, in payments that require no receipts while the average Joe Blow is late on his phone bill payment,  tax payment, traffic ticket  is financially penalized immediately or even jailed quickly..  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/02/04/our-politicians-file-excessive-and-unreasonable-claims-canada-wide-now-too/

Mr. Harper nneds to go… let us all rejoice. This is the worst PM this country has ever seen. This will be his last election win or lose. The CONS won’t even give him another chance. This is a great day, we can finally see the end of Harper… Little doves fly off… ;-) http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/02/politics-ekos-poll-voter-intention090209.html?ref=rss&loomia_si=t0:a16:g2:r1:c0.107087:b27540124   2/3 of the people do not like Harper still.

Mulroney doubts Schreiber affair will tarnish his legacy .. there is nothing left worth tarnishing. The man’s arrogance is exceeded only by the size of his monumental ego, and by his general lack of regard for Canadians. Canadians will forever view with deep suspicion a former prime minister who met with a shady businessman in a hotel overseas for the sole purpose of being paid in cash.  It is hard to tarnish something that had no shine to begin with Brian. He needn’t worry…..his legacy as the worst prime minister in Canada’a history is secure. He’s right. You can’t tarnish crap. He is right, he left a legacy of deceit and dishonestly long before Schrieber came along. Schrieber just proved our suspicions. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2009/09/03/brian-mulroney-progressive-election-election-win-anniversary.html  But undeniably Schreiber affair already has tarnished his legacy, and Mulroney is still one of the most disliked Prime Minister of Canada, especially in his home province of Quebec. He is more disliked that PM Harper is in Quebec.

Rich and Powerful  Michael Bryant has hired the best PR, Lawyers, Spin doctors to try to clean up his tarnished image, to falsely deny he killed someone too., As a person who has regularly followed the related Canadian news stores, issues in regard to drunk driving, speeding, accidents, driver error it is  VERY CLEAR TO ME THAT THE NEWS MEDIA SPIN for the major causes of the accidents, and also for the hidden tax, the need for more revenue generating traffic tickets, THEIR TRUTH  VARIES FROM DAY TODAY AND CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AS BEING ANYTHING CLOSE TO THE TRUTH. Not even in Alberta. Why? Poor Journalism for a start, lying, incompetent politicians, policemen’s views too. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/drink-alcohol-and-die/

Buyer beware: No laws dictate inspection frequency There are no laws in Canada dictating how often gas pumps must be checked for accuracy, and the government agency that does the inspections is doing fewer every year. http://www2.canada.com/ottawacitizen/features/hosedatthepumps/index.html

In its first year, 2007-08,  CCTS was still unable able to resolve about 40  per cent, of the complaints according to its own website. What a very high failure rate.  About one-third of the complaints were related to wireless services. 40  per cent, that is about the number of unhappy Customers with Bell’s Internet services too http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/02/commissioner-for-complaints-for-telecommunications-services/

The governments promise consumer protection, they have a department for it as well, they  take tax dollars for this service too, but it still is mostly a pretentious, unenforced  department that cops out with “buyers beware” and we need more such liars, abusers now too? http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/31/federal-consumer-protection-ha-ha-ha/

Women outnumber men in Canadian workforce for first time in history Sat Sep 5, 2009 TORONTO – Women labour leaders say there’s a “dark side” to Statistics Canada figures suggesting that for the first time in history there are more women than men in Canada’s workforce.  Women outnumber men cause women are wrongfully paid less then men, they are cheaper to hire, keep.  Women too should get their fair wages  http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/09/08/worker-compensation/

The Jobless need more help, and the present federal Stimulus budget  in reality  is still unlikely to stem ALL OF THE MUCH TOO MANY job losses, or  help all of the presently unemployed. Instead of everyone chasing their own tail we need to get down to serious job creation programs, give real help to the unemployed.
    http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/02/09/still-actions-speak-louder-over-mere-words/

And the Number of EI recipients  does not include  all the people who gave up and went to social aid ? or holding many part time jobs, not making enough money being  self employed  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/21/canadas-unemployment-figures-lie/

If you are a Control freak you are not only still an unrealistic, immature, immoral person  but you  may have a serious personality disorder. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2008/07/07/control-freaks/  http://thefocusonthefamily.wordpress.com/2008/08/12/more-about-control-freaks/

I too do not have to accept any Church corruptions by any pastors now in Canada as well.

(1 Cor 5:11 KJV)  But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12   For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13   But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

(Mat 24:48 KJV)  But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49  And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50  The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51  And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I have to admit it came to me as a shock firstly when I started to attend evangelical, Baptist,  Pentecostal churches in Canada now as an adult that that same right to be respect, to  speak, and to be heard, not to be bullied, falsely oppressed, the Legal and Human rights that I had before, often now did not exist in the churches surprisingly now of all places. Never saw so many control freaks, human rights abusers in my whole life next to the too often bad cops now too. And perversely many a despotic, crooked elder, pastor had wrongfully tried to shut me up, and even next had resorted next to slander me, to try to discredit me and what I had said, or whatever, now even both in Quebec and in Alberta.

The  Pastor had said that God does not let us to talk to anyone who drinks wine, but this is a rather distorted, extreme interpretation of the Bible. The Bible clearly says WE ARE NOT TO FELLOWSHIP WITH A CHRISTIAN PERSON  WHO GETS DRUNK.. now that is really different from not talking to any of the people who drink wine.. and why is this pastor so ready not to talk with others now too? so ready to smite them, to kick them out of church? If you have love for someone you are willing to talk with them, but if you do not have love for them, especially if, when you know they do not support you, do not agree with your presentation, do not agree  with your point of view, you as a pastor too no can personally can instead  refuse to love them, you refuse to talk to them, you find any excuse to reject, ostracize, divorce them basically to deny, to cover up the unacceptable reality that you yourself the pastor actually do not have any love for them.http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/08/31/get-real-now/

TORONTO — The signatories of a new letter accusing the Toronto International Film Festival of becoming “complicit in the Israeli propaganda machine” run the gamut from an Oscar-winning actress to a rabble-rousing author to a Talking Head. More than 50 people have added their name to what’s being called The Toronto Declaration, including musician David Byrne, actors Danny Glover and Jane Fonda, and author Alice Walker. The declaration states that while the signatories are not protesting the individual filmmakers participating in the program and do not seek to exclude Israeli films from the festival, “in the wake of this year’s brutal assault on Gaza, we object to the use of such an important international festival in staging a propaganda campaign on behalf of what South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, former U.S. president Jimmy Carter and UN General Assembly President Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann have all characterized as an apartheid regime.” http://www.nationalpost.com/arts/story.html?id=1960040

The US too regrets Israel’s reported settlement plans WASHINGTON —  “We regret the reports of Israel’s plans to approve additional settlement construction, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said in a statement. “Continued settlement activity is inconsistent with Israel’s   international commitments to the peace proces sunder the Roadmap,” he said, referring to the blueprint for a permanent two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  “As the president has said before, the United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued settlement expansion and we urge that it stop,” http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5gEeOBTqrp_Xwhd8Lzshr-sppfjew

I too was really rightfully upset that President George Bush and Prime Minister Stephen Harper had wrongfully allowed Israel to kill wrongfully Lebanon Christians in Lebanon.. http://pkbulow.tripod.com/1.htm

Honest People speak out against Israel the Bully and Bell Canada the Bully, the bullies,  and   as  you can tell I really, really rightfully  do not like it when any crook, crooked pastor, or crooked cops, crooked politician  tries to shut me up, and I  just speak louder to all then.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/01/08/harper-stays-silent-on-gaza/   http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/anti-jewish/

Hey I am the first one to admit that I am intolerant when I see prolonged injustices, abuses, perversity  I do tend to do something about it.. yes the lid flies of this boiling kettle now too,  and public exposure, prosecution of the guilty serves as a good example to all as well.

I do not write at all to have my own  name recognized, I write my complaints so something good can be done by others on the behalf of all Canadians. For the most part the self serving persons in politics in Canada is still really not acceptable. Politicians are paid by the tax payers to look after the good welfare of all citizens and sadly this has not been the case the last 20 years even in the federal cabinet. It should be still the case.

If you read my articles you know I cannot stand unrepentant alcoholics, lying salesmen, lying and abusive lawyers, crooked pastors, crooked or bad cops, crooked accountants,  crooked or bad civil servants too, crooked or bad politicians and even bad prime Ministers. By the way some of the most perverse, pretentious persons, to me rightfully as well, are the past, present mostly pretentious federal and provincial Justice Ministers, Premiers, Prime Minister who tend not to deal  adequately with their bad colleagues, crooks  to start of with.

I also do  know for a fact that both the internet and the non doctors, alternative approaches,  were unable to help me with my serious medical conditions many times  Rather it took real and competent doctors and real, valid  diagnostic equipment/testing  to deal with my  heart problems, diabetes, congestive heart failure, gland problems, vitamin deficiencies, cataracts, etc . Let’s insure we all can get that too now. Good, real medicare.

    * It is estimated that nearly one in three  adults have high blood pressure. People from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who suffer a heart attack come to the emergency department more often, are less likely to be treated aggressively and have higher mortality rates a year after heart attack, says new University of Alberta research that has important implications for access to cardiac care. If blood pressure is not brought back to the normal range it can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure or kidney failure. Magnesium, Cayenne Pepper, Onions, Garlic, Bananas   have also been demonstrated to be effective in bringing down high blood pressure. Eat also a food diet high in fiber, fresh fruit, more vegeatables  and food always low in sugar, and low in salt.  Avoid the negative side effects of today’s medicines such as Diuretics, Beta Blockers, Alpha Blockers and the related abusive, extortionate, crushing financial costs. Get more physical excercise  and find postive ways of getting rid of your unbeneficial stress too.

US States with the highest diabetes prevalence in the analysis also have the highest levels of blood pressure and cardiovascular disease risk, cancer risk, and none of this surprising since diabetes is   often related to the type of food they eat too.. and poorer people tend to eat junkier foods..   U.S. scientists also say they’ve found that in human breast cancer cell tumors in mice, a diabetes drug worked better than chemotherapy in prolonging remission. It is interesting that diabetes medicine already has also been found to help 30 percent of heart patients get better too. The drug, metformin, appears to selectively kill cancer stem cells in culture dishes and in mice.  http://www.upi.com/Science_News/2009/09/14/Diabetes-drug-also-kills-cancer-stem-cells/UPI-80291252943811/

Health Ministers and Health Canada should seriously be looking into this too.

and don’t you dare get sick and go to a Hospital you might have to find out what the doctors, nurses, hospital and Medicare are really like now too http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/12/11/hospital-deaths-account-for-half-of-deaths-annually/

Isn’t it nice I can use my right of free speech now as well.

Free speech too often is a right mainly for the rich, the bad guys, crooks, not the decent folks. I also do I know that bad guys and gals such as the crooked cops, crooked pastors, crooked politicians,  crooked anyone do not like me to use my right of free speech.. too bad for them.. Clearly just  because some thing someone writes offends someone else does not mean firstly that it is even “hate”, immediately prosecutable by law, the courts or the Human Rights Commission. There is still a separation between appropriate speech and inappropriate speech, a separation between freedom of speech, expressing one’s views, opinions and the delivered, deliberate conscious propagation of hatred towards a specific group or person.

Emergency  Wards in Hospitals can be a deadly place.. many people pick up all kinds of sicknesses there too.. shit disease included..  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2008/08/29/victims-of-deadly-c-difficile-outbreak/   http://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/05/08/shit-disease/
    http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/12/02/even-many-doctors-are-mainly-selfish-self-centered-want-to-get-rich-fast-too/

This reminds some really bad, manipulative persons too easily get angry when things do not go their way, when they cannot get others to do what they want, cops and bad spouses, in-laws, outlaws  especially. It is important that you find a safe and effective way to release anger to release the tension one is feeling of built up anger inside. Mediation on God and the Bible  is a good way.  You should also seek out professional help that can teach you how to understand why you feel that way, and give you steps to see and understand the causes of your anger.

“Be ye angry and sin Not”. “Let not the sun go down on your wrath” If you’re an evangelical  Christian you may have been falsely  told that you should never show personal emotions or  get angry, stay cool and you just need to have more faith. By burying our anger and not acknowledging it, we prevent ourselves from moving on. “We also often discover that anger is first and foremost a demand for change.”

Anger can also part of the fight/flight brain response to the perceived threat of  one’s personal pain or harm like when you know you are being lied to by someone..

Yes, Anger is also often associated next with unresolved  personal stress and tensions, even personal betrayal, and anger is one of the natural emotions a person has. A well-known doctor in Switzerland, Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, wrote a book that has changed perspective on how many people deal with grief for any kind of major personal loss. This book, called “On Death and Dying,” shows how she recognized a cycle of emotional stages that now is commonly referred to as the cycle of grief. Anger is the third stage of the cycle, following the stage of shock and denial. The last stage is acceptance of the grief. The stages of the grief process differ for each person and how much time is spent there.  I have often encountered elderly persons in hospitals who had experienced a major grief or some loss, had dealt with something that caused them to be really angry too. Too much  unresolved  anger is not so good to one’s health.

Anger Sickness is generally also associated with unforgiveness, revenge. There definitely have been studies that show that if a person is very hostile or angry for any extended periods of time it can cause various severe personal  health problems.  Chronic anger may weaken the immune system and can cause other health problems, by making a person start bad habits like smoking and drinking. If you keep your anger inside it causes your blood pressure to spike and can even cause long term health problems. Repressed anger might cause unconscious teeth grinding during the day or while the person is asleep. Grinding your teeth can wear down the enamel of your teeth and lead to more serious dental problems. Migraine headaches can occur with the increase of stress that constricts the blood vessels in the brain. Shortness of breath, Stomach pain or diarrhea can be caused by anger. There are other symptoms that anger can cause on the body, such as skin rashes, circulatory problems and even arthritis. It is best to manage your anger by relaxing, taking deep breathes, or even doing breathing exercisescan help calm you down. Anger is a normal emotion that happens in our daily lives.

Anger can often be caused by a reaction to someone else’s wrongs,  anger and frustration. Yes, anger can be a bad  disease, and the remedy lies is controlling  the anger before  it overpowers you!  I  often encounter people who should firstly get good pastoral care, counseling over going first to the Doctor too.  If you are angry, acknowledge that these feelings exist. Then find out why you re angry and try to resolve it !

    - “For man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires” (James)

A very elderly patient  arrived in the Hospital emergency, his first visit to a hospital as well, he now could not walk on one leg cause of the extremely severe pain and so he was hospitalized. While in the hospital he next was visited by 5 different doctors and he now was even given separately 5 different diagnostics as to  what he may have. This is common I have experienced  the same thing myself before too. Doctors tend to relate mainly to heir own experience,  expertise it seems mostly still and  so basically no doctor had told him what they would do next, they decided safely  they would let time and more reviews take it’s course. This all had seemed to have escalated the patient’s pains and concerns.  Next the same patient now developed severe constipation, headaches, even more pain ,dehydration, severe leg cramps  from now lying in a bed all of the week.  I next had listened and talked to the patient for a few days,  and I told him I could see he was also in  stress, personal anxiety.  The patient  next  had admitted that he was in stress when he had been first unable to walk, because at Christmas time unexpectedly his wife was sent to an convalescent home as she had developed the irreversible Alzheimer disease, and now he had next never been alone and  he never had cooked for himself before this. Now he also as a RESULT OF HIS LEG  PAIN he faced himself an uncertain future, possible operation, and transfer to an old age home or convalescent home. After much listening I told him he had now firstly had likely hurt, strained  his back, due to his wife’s unbeneficial stress, which in turn now now affected his leg.  I FIRST HAD SUGGESTED HE TALK WITH HIS DOCTOR AND GET A BACK PAIN MUSCLE RELAXANT TOO  but NEXT  naturally he refused to believe me. I ALSO NEXT HAD suggested he try out a chiropractor  but  he never had gone to one before. I told him the medical doctors approach would achieve the same results but IT would likely take much longer time using pills. But now even none of the hospital pain killers were now even  helping him at all including morphine because the root causes are not being addressed. Few doctors or nurses will tell a patient directly that t  his sickness is in his own  head, or his own doing now too.  The patient  next called his son  by phone, and his son next had agreed to take him in, after he was released from the hospital. His son next also had agreed with me,  that  the father should next go to a chiropractor doctor, that his problem was likely escalated by the unexpected stress he found himself in.

    - “Wise men turn away anger” (Proverbs)
    - “A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control” (Proverbs 29:11).

The pretentious hospital chaplains.. While visiting my father in the hospital In one week I next  saw three fly by church Priests come to visits the sick patients in the hospitals, and they  spend a minute or two with them,  and they really, basically did not much good to any of the patients they had visited. One of these clearly visibly useless  priests visiting a sick patient did not even recognize another member of his own congregation in the same room, and of course he did not even know his name. How the church has become an impersonalized show, merely a financial business it seems today.    Now the Doctors are still often asked to cure sick person  patients symptoms  whose original cause they are basically unaware off. A decent, good, chaplain can maybe help in this matter by first even  taking the time to know, listen, hear the patient’s original concerns.

On the surface, at least, Canadians  appear to be among the healthiest in the country when it comes to cardiovascular disease.  But the realties  are deceiving and paint a much different picture once you look into them. Twenty-two per cent of them smoke, 60 percent of them drink alcohol, 50 per cent are overweight or obese and 67 per cent do not eat a healthy diet. Many persons have often, continually unresolved negative personal stress   All of these factors contribute to high blood pressure — and they are entirely preventable, or deal able with.  A lot of what we perceive to be healthy eating and doing actually isn’t.  For starters, all persons people should shake their addiction to salty, packaged meals. reduce their red meat consumptions, reduce their meal sizes, eat more regularly too, One of the biggest problems is the high amount of sodium in our food,” This salt encourages water in the blood to remain, and gives more work for the heart to pump. Everyone does have  responsibilities, parents, spouses, food distributors as do governments and food manufacturers. Now  it’s about all of us doing a better job to increase public awareness and promoting more lifestyle changes around being healthy. According to the World Health Association, high blood pressure is the leading risk for death in the world.  Hypertension is the leading cause of heart and stroke disease, but there are no obvious symptoms.  Now  regular Doctor checkups,  with a competent and not too often a pretentious doctor too, to screen for hypertension, Diabetes as well  are required since studies suggest will affect half of all Canadians by the time they turn 60.  Over time, high blood pressure can damage blood vessel walls causing scarring that promotes the buildup of plaque deposits, which narrow and eventually block blood flow. Increased blood pressure can lead to heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure and other diseases that many persons next do die from. One in five Canadians has high blood pressure — and many  Canadians are among the least likely in the country to take measures to lower it. Only  80 per cent of the 4.6 million Canadians with hypertension take medication to control it, according to new findings from Statistics Canada. Doing things like having a  healthy diet high in fruits and vegetables and low in saturated fat is very effective, as is regular physical activity and maintaining a healthy body weight.  The prevalence of high blood pressure was about the same in men as in women, but men were less likely to be aware of their condition. The numbers should give all cause for concern.
     Blood Pressure Risk Factors
    - – Smoking
    - – Lack of exercise
    - – Poor diet and excess sodium
    - – Excessive alcohol consumption
    - – Being overweight or obese

It seems now also very funny to me that valid recent statistic on the number of people dying in Canada annually with cancer, heart attack, alcoholism, drug abuse, hospital acquired infections, etc are not available readily indicating that the governments don’t really care about the citizens good welfare.

It is very interesting that when most of the news reporters, governments tend to write about heart attacks, or car accidents they seem to downplay, omit alcohol’s effect and drug abuse and why is that? Notice the spin doctors do not deal truthfully or specially with how many people who have been diagnosed with serious heart problems got treated within 6 months to 2 years at the most and why was that? Reality heart treatment is done at major hospitals only who do not get paid on a per patient basis, but only get an annual budget to work with, a budget which varies with each city,  province now too, so they firstly do not treat all the serious heart patients. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/05/12/canadian-mortaility-rate-death-health-heart-disease-cancer/

I saw an elderly person ranting and raving out load, ranting, clearly  emotionally disturbed, on the Metro, subway, and funny he reminded me of myself.. he made sense in many things he said, and I immediately thought  he did not have an appropriate forum to relieve it and I thought he sure needed a blog like mine.

    Peter MacKay Conservative MP

     conservative_logo

First  Peter  Mackay says election will delay vital projects Calgary CTV - Defence Minister Peter Mackay came out strong on Thursday saying Canadians don’t want another election and if the opposition forces one, the economy will suffer

Next what Canadians and what economy is he talking about ? his own? or that of his family?

Tory minister Peter MacKay non-compliant with ethics code …The Canadian Press - ‎ OTTAWA —   A spokesman for Defence Minister Peter MacKay says the politician wasn’t in compliance with the federal ethics code when he served as an officer in two of his father’s companies.  Dan Dugas says MacKay was “non-compliant” with the Conflict of Interest Act, which forbids ministers from serving as a director or officer in a corporation.

MacKay’s business holdings could be conflict of interest: Critics Calgary Herald - OTTAWA — The federal ethics commissioner is examining whether Defence Minister Peter MacKay put himself in a conflict of interest by failing to declare his role in business operations of his family that stand to benefit from a multimillion dollar federal investment he announced last week. MacKay, who is also the minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, announced $7 million in federal subsidies for sustainable forestry sector development that could benefit woodlot owners such as Beaver Lumber Company Limited, which is owned by the minister’s father, Elmer MacKay. The minister was also a director and officer of the company and vice-president of a similar business called Lorne Resources Company Limited.  critics were skeptical about MacKay’s apparent memory trouble. “It smells bad,” said Megan Leslie, the NDP MP for Halifax. “Do you think he forgot that his dad owned thousands and thousands of acres of woodland in Nova Scotia? I think it would be tough to forget that. My mom’s a nurse, I tend not to forget that.” When there are funding announcements that will impact your family’s life, (or) potentially your assets, your life, we have a right to know that,” she said. “This is why we have these rules, so we know where Canadians’ money is going, where our tax dollars are going and who it’s going to benefit. We want it to benefit Canadians, not just a couple of families.”

MacKay Accused of Ethics Violations 580 CFRA Radio - - A Halifax newspaper is accusing Canada’s defence minister of violating the code of ethics for federal cabinet ministers.  The Halifax Chronicle is reporting Peter MacKay never declared his role in two family companies. The paper says that until Wednesday, MacKay was the vice-president of Beaver Lumber, and one of the directors of Lorne Resources.  Both of the businesses were owned by his father, former federal cabinet minister Elmer MacKay. The Conflict of Interest Act for federal ministers forbids them from serving as a director or officer in a corporation or from managing or operating a business.

Duff Conacher, the co-ordinator of government watchdog group Democracy Watch, said that Dawson has reasonable grounds to launch a formal investigation.”He (MacKay) obviously knew throughout the whole time that his father had a forestry company and that his family did, and so he would then have been involved in decisions that could further private interests of himself, his family, his friends, which is breaking the fundamental good government law,” said Conacher.

What the  Federal Cabinet Ministers really now worried about losing their incomes? What incomes?

oh yeah I forgot that I  had two secret bank accounts too? and what else?

“MacKay non-compliant with ethics rules: ” ” I know a lot of people who forget they are either a director, or an officer, of a company. Then they forget if the company is still in business. This is the type of person who is running our military, he will probably forget he is in charge and then forget that the military is still active.” “ Why am I not surprised that a Conservative MP has violated ethical guidelines? We need to dump this crowd. ” “Maybe he’ll just forget he’s a politician and get lost.” The quicker the better too. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia/story/2009/09/03/ns-mackay-ethics.html

Peter McKay now if you cannot manage properly your own simple personal portfolio how can you be considered for or manage any cabinet position then?

Tory cabinet minister Peter MacKay fined $200 for breaching ethics  The Canadian Press - HALIFAX, NS – Canada’s ethics commissioner has fined Defence Minister Peter MacKay $200 for breaching the federal code of ethics.

This was  an example of Conservative accountability? well then it is a big farce as well..

“I take him at his word that it slipped his mind.”  Dementia at that age?  what about if he next forgets to come to work altogther ..

just a typical Conservative slip up too..

Conservative MP, Andrew MacKay, has been surrounded by controversy regarding his expense claims. MacKay is married to fellow Conservative MP, Julie Kirkbride and it appears that both of them were claiming second home expenses.   http://mypoliticalnews.wordpress.com/2009/08/06/mackay-heckled-during-a-meeting-with-constituents/

The Conservatives have fallen in Quebec and they can’t get up. The Conservatives have caused the BQ to benefit as a result too.

Canada’s Defence Minister denies knowledge of torture, of Canadian complicity in the torture of Afghan detainees who had been turned over to Afghan authorities, makes him NOW EITHER A LIAR OR CLEARLY A VERY POOR MINISTER. Prime Minister Stephen Harper dismissed the demand for a torture

and why does Peter  also object to any alcoholics on social welfare being made to attend mandatory AA counselling as well?

No one, No one could automatically believe the police, RCMP unless

Slain jogger’s husband accuses police of lying.. The husband of Wendy Ladner-Beaudry, who was killed in a park on Vancouver’s west side in April, says police investigating the crime are playing games…   The RCMP contacted me some weeks ago and said to me that, essentially, they had exhausted their leads, that they need me to go back to the media and plead to the public to help us out,” he said.Beaudry said he was given the impression that if he didn’t make a public plea, the investigation would be over.”When somebody comes to me and says, ‘We are at the end of our rope. We need your help after five months of investigation’ … It really frustrates me.”But police are denying that they asked Beaudry to go public, saying they even cautioned him against doing that.

Don’t worry Beaudry, no one believes what the RCMP says anymore. No one will believe them when they say you were lieing… Police playing games? Police are masters of the art. I have minimal faith in police officers telling the truth. They have their docturate degrees in lying, deceiving and denying (especially when they have crossed the line)….  With the RCMP’s track record lately, I know who I’ll believe..

Police never lies. Just look at Mr. Dziekanski welcome and follow up ‘explanations’.  Oh they had lied..  I have absolutely no confidence in the RCMP these days. I find it totally believable that they are lying about what they encouraged this guy to do. I’m thankful I live in a province that has its own provincial police. The RCMP needs a massive leadership overhaul and a thorough examination of its manpower. That situation will only get worse in the coming years. I wonder what happend with the other person who was killed around the same time, the homeless lady in Lighthouse park.. I suppose no one cares about her as she was not a “valuable member of society”..Sad! I’m not saying they’ve got an easy job, but way too many crimes go unsolved nowadays.

Alberta Liberals criticize severance pay. The province is paying out lavish severance packages to former executives at the same time it’s making cuts to the health-care system, Liberal MLA Hugh MacDonald charged Wednesday.  MacDonald took issue with a bonus recently paid to the former executive operating officer of Alberta Health Services, Paddy Meade.  Meade was paid $1.3 million for nine months on the job — the equivalent of two years’ salary and benefits. A $257,500 bonus was included in the payout, MacDonald said. The bonus is of particular concern to MacDonald. He believes Meade wasn’t in her position long enough to have an annual evaluation.”Yet they saw fit to give her the maximum amount for two years when they let her go after less than nine months’ service,” he said.

“What kind of ‘idiots’ are running Alberta anyway?  Why would the people of Alberta keep voting for such an incompetent Party?   It is so obvious that the priorities of the Alberta ‘Conservative’ government are xxxx backwards. They need to be removed!!!!” “It’s pathetic. So sad to see how this government wastes money and props up their buddies leaving Albertans with a depleted Heritage fund, no money for infrastructure, and poor health care after 16 years of “boom” time. Can’t wait til the time is up for these clowns and their corruption is properly exposed. It’ll make the sponsorship scandal look like peanuts.” “This Stelmach Government has gone nuts.   No wonder Alberta’s deficit is $7 billion dollars but is exected to top $8 billion dollars.  Stelmach must be forced to resign.” ” It’s WAY past time that Slow Eddie and his gang of arrogant, self-entitled incompetents were shown the door by voters.   Albertans deserve intelligent, ethical leaders who are committed to democratic principles of transparency, openness, and public service. This Conservative bunch, like fish that’s stayed out of the fridge longer than it should, need to be escorted to the trash bin. Their knuckle-dragging ideology is far past its best-before date.” “I suggest to Mr. Liepert that he should offer voluntary retirement packages to himself and the rest of his crew before cutting funding to health care. These serverence packages are ludicrous and outrageous.” http://www.cbc.ca/canada/edmonton/story/2009/09/02/edmonton-severance-health-care.html

” Friends of Medicare representatives argued the new panel is a “de-listing committee,” while the Alberta Liberals called the task force “health reform by stealth.” ” ” 90% working pooer Canadians can not afford private Health Care because they were not paid like Ralph Klien , Ed Stealmach, Ron Liepert or Mazankowski”,  ”   most Canadians need public Health Care, that is the only Care they will be able afford.”  “The main purpose of carrent Alberta Health Care reform is to distroy it, to make most Canadians suffer without proper medical attention” “Ralph Klien, Ed Stealmach, Ron Liepert and Mazankowski are fat cats and big friends American private medical system. They are doing everything in their power to make changes in Alberta Public Health Care for the worse. We should get rid of them or they will get rid of us and our children.” “When is the Alberta Government going to stop budgeting based on future prices of oil and gas? How is it we go from record setting surpluses and now we can’t afford education and health care? Give me a break. Lets toss these jokers to the curb and get intelligent people who can at least add two and two. For now I am just waiting for the PCs to start blowing up hospitals again in the continuation of King Ralph’s war on healthcare by King Eddy.” ” Trust me on this, Albertans (and all Canadians) don’t want the likes of Stelmach, Liepert, Graydon “redifining” the Canada Health Act! Get ” “Frustratingly, this government has been working in the shadows to strangle public health care with lies that it is not sustainable. Health care costs as a percentage of GDP have been very stable over the last 30 years.” “ Albertan politicians have always been pretenders. imposters, who look only after themselves  “

The Alberta health minister Ron Liepert is up to something, he has delisted chiropractic services and replaced regional hospital boards with a province wide super board that, among other things, suddenly decided this year we have a glut of nurses, not a shortage. Rumours of layoffs in health care got a boost last week when word came the super board, Alberta Health Services, is running a $1.3-billion deficit. Speculation of more delisting has been swirling since April when Premier Ed Stelmach said we’d know by the end of the year what other services will be cut. http://www.edmontonjournal.com/health/Liepert+move+makes+wonder/1956909/story.html

and who can deny these negative realities..

You can also  tell a federal election is coming..

Construction of 16 nursing stations and health clinics in First Nations communities is underway across Canada, thanks to $135 million in federal funding, Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq said Tuesday.   http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2009/09/01/nursing-stations-aboriginal.html

“ I don’t think having access to health care is a case of special interest groups dictating. That is part of being a Canadian.  They are nursing and health clinics, that does not always mean access to a Doctor but to Nurses, Nurse Practitioners. Basic health care. Any community I have lived in has had a hospital or clinics. Why would First Nations be any different or second class in their need for medical care?”

Time they all really cared about us all all the time too

(Prov 4:14 KJV)  Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. 15  Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. 16  For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. 17  For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. (Prov 5:22 KJV)  His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins. (Prov 6:16 KJV)  These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17  A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,  18  An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19  A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

I have too often these days said can you believe anything an often bullying, bashing  Conservative  cabinet Minister says, does, too often now they lie and spin much too much.. and now that we all are likely facing another election they say look at how good we are today, but what about yesterday, many of us have bad memory of what they have been really like, had failed definitely lived up their own promises and our misled expectations of them too now.

Suncor Energy Inc. expects to shed 1,000 jobs by next month as a result of the company’s recent merger with Petro-Canada, the firm reported Thursday. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/calgary/story/2009/09/03/calgary-suncor-jobs.html  all very hard for the people who lost their jonbs now.. and watch how the Conservatives  they will spin that..

The Conservatives are warning that a fall election would kill a popular tax credit that allows Canadians to recoup some of the money they spend on home renovations while the Liberals are on record saying they will still honour this tax credit and that is good current good example how Conservatives  lie and spin the truth.. Over the summer the prime minister urged Canadians to take advantage of the tax credit, even though it hasn’t actually been approved by Parliament now he is the one who created the mess now too. The Liberals protest that this ploy is dishonest because even if they defeat the Tories on the budget motion they would reintroduce the measure and pass it should they win power. “This is just a Conservative game,” Liberal finance critic John McCallum said. “We are 100 per cent committed to the home-renovation tax credit and will ensure the appropriate legislation is there so people get their tax credit.”  http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/tories-gear-up-for-battle/article1273588

Conservative MP Peter McKay says the election will hurt the economy, it is his economy he seems to be worried about too.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/09/03/peter-mackay-conservative-mp/

OECD report   suggested the Canadian economy would be the ugly duckling of the Group of Seven industrialized countries. The opposition Liberals,  said the report was further proof the Conservatives have mismanaged the economy.  Projection contradicts Bank of Canada’s forecast that Canada is already out of recession and will experience growth this quarter. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/canada-to-lag-g7-economies-oecd/article1274198/

But  ”Didn’t Harper and Flaherty say we were leading the Gloobal recovery?!!” Not rather in last place…
