Liberal Ignatieff makes gains at HARPER’S EXPENSE- Poll

1arecess

OTTAWA — The popularity gap between the government and the official Opposition has narrowed once again, with 37 per cent of decided voters supporting Stephen Harper’s Conservatives and 31 per cent behind Michael Ignatieff’s Liberals, according to the results of the latest Ipsos Reid poll.

The poll conducted for Canwest News Service and Global Television showed the Liberals have steadily narrowed a 23-point gap behind the Conservatives in early December to six points in the two months since Ignatieff replaced Stephane Dion as leader.

“Ignatieff’s clearly in the game,” John Wright, Ipsos Reid senior vice-president, public affairs, said in an interview Friday.

Nationally, the Conservatives retain a commanding lead in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. But the Liberals have overtaken the Conservatives in Ontario for the first time since the federal election, and retain a firm lead in Atlantic Canada. The Bloc Quebecois widened its lead over the Conservatives and the Liberals in Quebec since results of the last poll were released Jan. 9.

The Bloc has the support of 42 per cent of Quebecers, an increase of seven points, over the Liberals at 24 per cent, the Conservatives at 18 per cent, the NDP at 11 per cent and the Greens at 10 per cent. Five per cent of voters are undecided.

Nationally, the Conservatives still hold a commanding lead of 48 per cent in British Columbia, 70 per cent in Alberta, and 55 per cent in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Liberals lead Ontario with 39 per cent support, compared to 37 per cent for the Conservatives, 14 per cent for the NDP and 10 per cent for the Greens.

In Atlantic Canada, the Liberals are on top with 48 per cent, followed by 25 per cent for the NDP, 24 per cent for the Conservatives and four per cent for the Greens.

WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT IF A  FEDERAL ELECTION WAS HELD TODAY Stephen Harper AND THE NEW CONSERVATIVES WOULD NOT HAVE A MAJORITY GOVERNMENT AGAIN.

Comforting the Afflicted

Comforting the Afflicted and Afflicting the Comfortable

Article I: The Glory is Gone

Prophets, Apostles, and Healing Evangelists are finally admitting it:

     The Glory is gone.

Oh, they aren’t admitting it openly and directly.  To do so would be a “negative confession.”  But they are admitting it quietly and indirectly.  Nearly every Charismatic Christian television program, book, and CD is proclaiming to us “The Glory is coming!” And, “Get ready for the Glory!” Also, “Pray for the Glory to come again!”
For it to “come” it has to be presently absent.
     In other words, “gone.”
     The Glory left us.
Oh, we still have good services here and there.  We still have the occasional miracle.  People are still saved and filled with the Spirit.  But the manifested Presence and Glory of God that has been in Pentecostal, Charismatic, and Word of Faith services in the past, is simply not there anymore.  The kinds of awesome services held in years past by Wigglesworth, the Goodwins, Kathryn Kuhlman, the old Healing Revivalists, and so on, are nearly unknown today.
Apostles and prophets at the forefront of our movement are finally acknowledging that, frankly, not much is happening.  There is a manifestation of Glory that we are not seeing anymore.
They promise us much though.  Since 1983 when Brother Copeland returned from a 30-day fast declaring that the “new move of God” was imminent, and that it would be greater than all the other revivals that preceeded it, they have promised us for the last 25 years that the Glory was about to burst upon us at any moment.
     Well . . .
     Where is it?
I do not define “imminent” as a quarter of a century.  Do you?  Clearly, they missed it on the timing.  Is it possible that glory experts who claim the Glory is coming have also missed other aspects of the next expected move of God?
To date, I have not heard a single national minister ask the most important question of all:
Why did the Glory leave us?

     It is a fair question.

In this article, I will show from the scriptures the seven sins that cause the Glory to leave the people of God.  Then in follow-up articles, I will examine each sin’s presence in Charismatic and Word of Faith circles today.
We will see from the Bible that seven sins that stopped the Glory during the childhood of Samuel.  And we will find that the sins that caused the Glory to depart in Samuel’s day are the same sins that brought the Healing Revival of the 1940′s and 1950′s to a halt, and they are also what has now killed the Word of Faith Move.
     Yes, I meant that–killed.
I don’t know the specific day the Word of Faith Movement died, but it has been dead for some time now.
Allow me to compare a move of God with an ocean liner at sea.  When men want to stop a mighty ship, they shut down the engines, and drop anchors over the side.  The drag of the anchors quickly bring the ship to a complete stop.  In a similar manner, a move of God dies when it is burdened down with more and more sin and excesses.  God is still in the move, but the drag of the sin and excesses act like anchors.  Before long, there is no more forward movement.
When a ship comes to a stop out in the ocean, it is considered to be “dead in the water,” having no more forward momentum.  The ship still exists.  It may still have people on it.  But it really isn’t going anywhere.  This is the sense in which I say that the Word of Faith move is dead.  It is dead in the water.  Although people still identify with it, there is no discernable forward motion.

There is a sense in which no move of God ever dies.  People still identify with the move, but it loses sight of its original purpose and does not continue forward.  A good example of this is the Protestant Reformation of the 1500′s and 1600′s.  Even though it is dead, it still affects us to a certain extent to this day.  Non-Catholic Christians still call themselves “Protestants.”  However, the original Protestants started out as Catholics who were “protesting” the corruption and doctrinal excesses of the Catholic church.  They sought to reform, the Catholic Church, for this reason the move of God of that day was called the Protestant Reformation.

Protestants eventually gave up on reforming the Catholic Church, and broke with it.  No Protestant today seriously thinks in terms of working to reform the Catholic Church.  Nor do they see themselves as “protesting” the excesses and errors of that church.  They are largely oblivious to the Catholic church.  And in fairness, the Catholic church cleaned up a great deal of their corruption, even though they still teach a great deal that has no scriptural backing.  The name “Protestant” remains in use, and people identify with this branch of Christianity, however the passion and momentum of that movement is long gone, hence, dead.
The Pentecostal Move of the early 1900′s is dead.  People still call themselves by that name, however.  The Healing Revival of the 1940′s and 1950′s is dead.  We still believe in healing.  However, the few Healing Revivalists of that are still alive, admit that the movement has lost its momentum, and it is dead.
We thought our Word of Faith Move would be different.  We thought that we would be able to remain focused with laser-like precision on the preaching and teaching of the Bible, teaching people how to release their faith in God’s Word.  We didn’t realize that sin and excessive teachings would creep in, and slowly bring our movement to a grinding halt.  But they did, and our movement died.  There are still people on our ship.  The hot air from alot of preachers are trying to fill our sails to move us forward again.  But no ship can go forward while dragging the anchors of sin and error along the bottom of the ocean.  There is no real forward move in the Word of Faith anymore.
Like leaders of denominations which were birthed out of previous moves of God, our leaders continue going through the motions, re-preaching the same old dog-eared sermons, but there is no real life, power, passion, or unction in most of it.  Although there are still some signs of life here and there, our Word of Faith churches, for the most part, stand more as monuments to the past than as power centers of the present.
In other words, the Glory has left.
Years ago, I read an article in which David Wilkerson wrote that before God could move in a greater way in our midst, we needed the kind of correction that came only from “searing sermons.”  I disagreed with him then.  But after sitting through 20 years of sermons in which I was woozed and schmoozed, pampered and petted, was promised everything and challenged in nothing, and the Glory is still gone, I’m ready to cut through the fluff and get to the heart of what has to occur before God blesses us with His Glory again.

     Are you ready?

     It will be painful.

Correction, chastisement, and rebukes are always painful:

“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”  Hebrews 12:11.

What happens after the painful, grievous chastisement?

“. . . it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness.”

This scripture tells us that the only way to future Glory is to endure the painful chastening of the present.

Every great move of God has begun not with fluff, fanfare, and flattery, and fat offering buckets, but with grief, repentence, remorse.  Even before the greatest move of God–the life and ministry of Christ–God sent John the Baptist, not to endorse their present spiritual laxity, but to rebuke them and tell them to “make the crooked ways straight!”

Every great move of God begins by “making the crooked ways straight.”

If walking by faith, confessing the word, and taking up big offerings were capable of bringing the Glory, we would have had it long ago.

The first step in getting the Glory back is to understand WHY the Glory left us in the first place.  Then we can correct ourselves so that it may return.

Let’s look at the life of Samuel.  The reasons the Glory left back then are the same reasons it has left us today.

Ichabod! The Glory Has Left!

Samuel’s mother Hannah had been unable to become pregnant, and had prayed to the Lord for a son. She promised that if God answered her prayer, she would loan her son to Him for His service. God answered Hannah’s prayer and she gave birth to Samuel. At a young age, she entrusted Samuel to the care of Eli the priest.  He lived with Eli and Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas who had been trained to be priests also.

When Samuel was older, the Children of Israel fought a battle with the Philistines. The battle went against Israel.  So Israel decided to bring the Ark of the Covenant into the midst of their camp, thinking that by doing so, God would be with them and they would win the war.  However, they lost the war and lost the Ark of the Covenant to the Philistines.  Additionally, Eli’s two grown sons Hophni and Phinehas were taken and killed.

When word of the loss of the Ark and of his two sons reached Eli, he fell off the seat he was sitting on and broke his neck.  At that moment Phinehas’ pregnant wife went into labor.  Read with me:

“And she named the child Ichabod, [which means “There is no glory”] saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.” I Sam. 4:21,22.

Why did Israel lose this battle?  Why did the Ark of God leave their midst?  The scriptures show us that the Glory departed because of seven sins committed by Eli, Hophni, and Phinehas–the priests of God.
Let me state this very clearly:
Sins in the priesthood caused the Glory to depart from the people of God in Samuel’s day, and also later from the Pentecostal Revival, the Healing Revival, and now from the Word of Faith Move.
There were seven sins that caused the Glory to leave.  Let’s examine these seven sins one by one, beginning with:

THE BOOGEYMAN CALLED FALSE TONGUES

”The Boogeyman Called  “False Tongues” By Mel C. Montgomery

Of all the empty arguments offered by Cessationists, it is hard to find anything more bizarre than their claim of the existence of “false tongues.”  This doctrine is the new Boogeyman.
http://brothermel.com/theboogeymancalledfalsetongues.aspx

For those of you who are unfamiliar with American culture, please allow me to explain who the Boogeyman is

The Boogeyman is an imaginary monster we sometimes frighten small children with.

We tell them, “If you don’t behave, the Boogeyman will get you!”  Or, “If you don’t do well in school, the Boogeyman will get you!

Little children will sometimes become convinced that there is a monster hiding under their bed or in their closet.  They say, “The Boogeyman is in there!

Sometimes also, when faced with a situation of which they are unfamiliar or for which they have no explanation, such as the sudden death of a family pet, or the appearance of a wart, children will exclaim, “The Boogeyman did it!”

The Boogeyman eixsts only in the imaginations of immature minds.

The False Tongues Boogeyman is the latest concoction in a long string of discreditied arguments the Cessationists have offered over the years.  Cessationists start from the false premise that genuine speaking in tongues ceased upon the death of the last apostle.  I have soundly disproven this starting point in my article, “Tongues Throughout Church History,”   I show from ancient Christian documents that speaking in tongues and other gifts of the Spirit continued on for several centuries after the last apostle died, and have frequently re-appeared in times of great revival up to this day.

Never-the-less, in spite of the clear evidence of Scripture and church history, Cessationists persist in arguing that speaking in tongues has ceased.  Needing to offer some explanation for the widespread occurrances of speaking in tongues today, they claim such instances are manifestations of “false tongues.”  Their argument is that when Christians today speak in tongues, they are doing so not under the influence of the Holy Spirit, but by the empowerment of Satan.

As of the year 2,000 a.d., 537 million born-again Christians speak in tongues.  This is 30% to 40% of the Body of Christ.

That is an awful lot of “false tongues.”

Are we truly to believe that Satan has taken possession of more than a third of the Body of Christ, without anyone noticing?

Here is why I do not believe in the existence of “false tongues”:

First, the Bible makes no mention of false tongues.  The Bible warns of false prophets, false apostles, false teachers, false Christs, and false accusers, but there is no warning of “false tongues.”

Second, among Paul’s specific instructions concerning speaking in tongues at Corinth, he does not question the validity of the tongues themselves, nor does he instruct us to do so either.

Third, if a false speaking in tongues does exist, which is inspired by the indwelling presence of an evil spirit, I believe such tongues would be impossible for a Christian to receive.  As Christians, we are the temple of the Living God (II Cor. 6:16), and the Spirit of God dwells in us (Rom. 8:11).  If evil spirits in the demon possessed could not tolerate the presence of Christ in his earthly ministry, I do not believe a tongues-inspiring evil spirit can cohabit with the Holy Spirit in a Christian’s heart.

Fourth, Jesus Christ gave us a specific promise that if we asked the Heavenly Father for the Holy Spirit, we would not receive a serpent or a scorpion–symbols of evil spirits–but we would receive the Holy Spirit.  “…how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”–Luke 11:13.  I do not believe that Christ’s promise has failed 537 million times.  I do not believe that 537 million Christians asked for this manifestation of the Holy Spirit, and that God stood idly by and allowed them to receive 537 million demons.

Fifth, there are no known reports of any manifestations of speaking in tongues in Christian churches that are clearly identifiable as “false tongues.”  I have spoken and interpreted public messages in tongues countless times now for 17 years.  Never once has an interpretation included, “Praise Satan!”  Or, “Jesus be accursed!”

     Not once…in thousands of occurrances…In 17 years.

Sixth, all interpretations of tongues I have witnessed, participated in, or of which I am aware, always glorify Jesus Christ, extoll Christ’s victory over Satan, and exhort Christians to live holy lives and obey God’s written Word.  No manifestations of “false tongues,” inspired by evil spirits, would do so.

The following is an excellent example of the content of messages in tongues:

A highly-placed Southern Baptist official told me that some years ago, Billy Graham had been invited to speak to an assembly of students at an Assemblies of God College.

Billy Graham was on a very tight schedule.  He had just enough time for his plane to land, then to travel to the seminary, speak, and then rush to catch his next plane.  And as if that wasn’t difficult enough, Billy Graham’s plane landed late.

He was rushed to the seminary.  He quickly spoke his message to the students, and concluded.  He left the microphone and was several feet away, when someone stood up and spoke a message in tongues.  Billy stopped and listened.  A moment later, another student stood up and gave the interpretation.

Billy returned to the microphone and said:

“I was pressed for time today.  And the message I gave you actually had four points to it.  I had only enough time to give you the first two points.  That message in tongues, just gave you the last two points of my message.”

And he rushed out to catch his plane.

Are we to believe that an evil spirit was courteous enough to quietly attend this meeting and then finish Billy Graham’s message for him?

Has Satan joined God’s evangelistic team?

Seventh, we have no reports of false tongues, inspired by evil spirits, manifesting among the unsaved, and in places of false religion and sin.  False tongues have not appeared in houses of prostitution,  casinos, Jehovah’s Witnesses meetings, or at the Playboy Mansion.

Speaking in tongues occurs exclusively in Christian churches.  They involve only Born-again Christians.  The content of the messages glorify Jesus Christ.  These occur only as Christians praise, worship, and pray to the Heavenly Father.

It is a considerable stretch to believe that such manifestations could be anything but genuinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Are we really to believe that 537 million Christians experience continual demonic manifestations of false tongues, when false tongues were so rare that the Bible did not even address the issue?

This argument is nothing more than the Boogeyman.

Just as the children’s Boogeyman disappears from the room whenever the light is turned on, so also does the Cessationist’s False Tongues Boogeyman disappear when confronted with the light of Scripture, church history, present-day experience, and common sense.

We have done miracles in thy name.. they had claimed

Jesus next never denied their claim, and never accused that, said that their gifts were false..

the gifts were genuine.. rather it was the persons themselves who were false.. pretenders, imposter Christians

and that is true in many Pentecostals and non Pentecostal churches today as well..

Depart me from me he Jesus next said for I do not know you..”

Many even religious persons, people are falsely trying to reach Heaven, serve God in their own efforts neglect God’s provisions for them, God’s spirtual gifts. http://comeholyspirit.wordpress.com/2008/11/19/come-holy-spirit/

http://postedat.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/follow-after-charity-and-desire-spiritual-gifts-but-rather-that-ye-may-prophesy/

I have a whole site that deals with true and false Pentecostal bashing. http://postedat.wordpress.com/ but all critiques firstly need  to be balanced..

> Pentecostals who are inherently  unstable from the constant hypnotic emotional experiences.

and in reality this is just real crap, and slander  produced by one’s personal distortions, lies and bitterness.. for you find the same type of bad people in all churches, 30 percent of church people are basically saved, the rest, the 70 percent are not and thus they too   act weird..

>The pastor of such places has dictatorial authority over the church people.

is some more distorted crap for most churches for the last few centuries now too have a dictatorial pastor in  all denominations now as well, not just Pentecostals. And what you have never been to a Baptist church?

>Much of my criticism of Pentecostalism comes from my experience within the Oneness brand. However, in correspondence with people across the Unites States and the world, I find that the abuses of power and the intimidation of people exist among the several types of Pentecostalism, in addition to the Oneness sect. ( or even not just to Pentecostals)

I have also witnessed abuses within the Oneness brand Pentecostals and also within PAOC , Latter Rain Pentecostals, but also in Baptist, Brethren, Mennonite, Alliance, Catholic   churches, and so now what you did not?

- AND FOR A START THE UNACCEPTABLE ABUSES I HAD WITNESSED HAD VERY SIMILAR PATTERNS.. THEY WERE RELATED TO STEALING OF MONEY, DISTORTION PREACHING ON TITHING, BUT ALSO RELATED MAINLY ON THE INADEQUATE SUPERVISIONS BY THE RESPONSIBLE SUPERINTENDENTS ON THE BAD PASTORS WHO WERE FALSELY ALLOWED TO DO THEIR OWN THING, ACTED LIKE DICTATORS.

>Breaking the traditional bonds of friends and family is the most subversive thing that also the crooked Pentecostals Pastors do to maintain control, like many cults,

and this is a distorted crap  cause other denominations also  do the same thing, and there are righteous, good Pentecostals as well.

In reality too as well non Pentecostal denominations, such as fundamentalists, Brethren, Baptists also help to break family ties, encourage spouses, family members falsely to divorce especially a Pentecostal adherent. Now get honest, balanced, real

- ON TOP OF THAT I HAD NOTED THAT IN THE CROOKED CHURCHES, LOCAL CHURCH ELDERS TEND TO BE NON EXISTENT, even in other denominations

-AND yes   in the bad Pentecostal churches THE MEN tend to  STAY  AWAY FROM THE CHURCH IN DROVES, THE WOMEN OUTNUMBERED THE MEN IN THE ATTENDANCE which was DIFFERENT FROM THE many churches I had visited, attended.

>> Are they former criminals? This does not matter since all their previous sins are “under the blood.” Are they respectable people? This does not matter – they spoke in tongues, so they must be “changed and good people.”

and they tithe, so they must be “changed and good people.”  This is undeniably true. not just in Pentecostal churches too, but in the Baptist, Allaince, other churches..

>Letters from an Ex-Pentecostal  February 2005

but  there are true and false pastors, true and false churches now in all of the Christians denominations for a start. Mention that truth for a start too.

There was so much emotional rubbish, lies, distortions in the rest of the letters critiquing the Pentecostals  that they were not at all  worth reading, it gives a real bad impression to the readers about the writers, posters firstly. The devil is the one sided accuser of the brethren and too many writers there clearly had fell into his hold.

I liked all the great non existent Bible references too… it seems the writers were not real Christians to start of with, they were  clearly ignorant, or ashamed off the Bible, God’s words.

I suggest that  you revise the letter seriously.

In real life sibling rivalry, bullies, oppressors can be found everywhere, in our homes, amongst our associates, in our communities, on the net, in politics, civil and public services, even in the churches as well. These are the people who falsely abuse others and despise the human rights of others, and they falsely do think now that God himself approves of it or overlooks it all.. Nothing could be further from the truth. But our own final peace, reward will be in Heaven.

Now about these false bullies, thugs, the proud oppressors, war mongers
 http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/bullies-thugs-proud-oppressors-war-mongers/

For certainty also because of the demonic opposition the devil will try to discourage you from finding out reading about the Holy spirit, Charismatics, Pentecostals and the Bible. I know I have experienced this myself the last  40 years. So my sites will reflect, show you what I have learned, found out on these subjects for a start.

http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/01/01/distortions-lies-false-critiques/

Beware always of men and women, bullies, tormentors, control freaks,  persons, civil and public servants,  politicians, pastors, leaders, elders, Corporations too who falsely do, will try to enslave you, oppress you, exploit you even while they claim they are proclaiming the truth, democracy, trying to help you, etc.,

Is 51:23 ..your tormentors {and} oppressors, those who said to you, Bow down, that we may ride {or} tread over you; and you have made your back like the ground and like the street for them to pass over.

Unacceptable

1abc1
OTTAWA

- The federal governments hands billions of dollars to the provinces and territories for various programs, but lacks any way to ensure the money is actually spent on those programs, the auditor general reported Thursday.

- The federal government also can’t say for sure whether billions of dollars being spent on green programs are actually protecting health, habitat or air quality, says the environment commissioner. Scott Vaughan’s first report to the Commons bluntly concludes that Ottawa too often “does not know the impact of its efforts.”

“Canadians have high expectations that the government will take action to tackle environmental degradation,” said the audit, tabled in Parliament on Thursday. “The government needs to know what works, what doesn’t, and why.”

- Canada’s parliamentary budget officer is casting doubt on the federal government’s rosy projections in the budget, saying the recession will likely be deeper than expected and Ottawa’s stimulus package smaller and less effective.

- The federal Conservatives are engaging in pork-barrel politics by funnelling millions of dollars in infrastructure spending to friendly ridings. The Liberals say more than three-quarters of federal infrastructure money doled out since 2007 went to Conservative ridings. A Liberal analysis of the first $1 billion worth of specific projects financed by the Building Canada Fund concludes that 77.8 per cent of the money went to Tory constituencies. Gerard Kennedy, the Liberal infrastructure critic, says 21 of 27 projects that received funding were in Conservative ridings, He says that shows Stephen Harper’s Conservative government is using the fund to reward supporters and punish regions that did not vote Tory. The fund is the government’s flagship infrastructure program. It was supposed to dole out $37 billion over seven years but the country’s mayors have complained that very little money has actually flowed to municipal infrastructure projects. With billions of dollars in new promises for infrastructure in the recent budget, opposition-held ridings could be frozen out of job creation efforts, Liberal MP Gerard Kennedy said.  ”They’re not getting enough out the door, and what they’re promising is going to Conservative ridings,” Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said.

Kevin Page also told a parliamentary committee Thursday the government’s claimed $39.9 billion stimulus package over two years is effectively about 20 per cent smaller, at $31.8 billion.

And he adds that a portion of the smaller amount may not find its way into the economy because $10 billion is contingent on shared spending by other levels of government.

The difference will mean the extra spending is unlikely to create or save the 190,000 jobs projected by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, Page said, estimating the number at closer to 120,000.

Liberal finance critic John McCallum called the discrepancies and the expectations of a more severe downturn alarming, adding that the government may have to raise its stimulus spending within the next few months.

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/canada/cp

I too  have a sneaking suspicion that in six months, we’ll all be discussing  a big “Conservagate,” affair which will make the Liberal Shawinigate look like a mousesqueak. This from the party that go so angry over the overfunding of Liberal ridings when the shoe was on the other foot.

http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/02/02/federal-budget-approved/

First we need still a full  review of the waste, fraud, and abuse that has plagued governmental. efforts. What is also needed is a program to remove public officials from office that take our money and spend it on their own false pet projects while many of our people still are not getting the help that they need.

Federal Deficit , economic, job creation and capital expenditure programs… are still untrustworthy. Being a past  senior civil, mechanical , projects engineer, project manager myself here now are   the major problem I righty still do had with capital expenditure projects even under PM Jean Chretien and never   mind next under PM Stephen Harper firstly: and it is  is that when you give do monies for a specific capital expenditure projects to the Provinces, Municipalities as well, and just like in many of the non profit organizations now too, a significant portion of the money firstly never even gets to the intended sources but it is diverted elsewhere.. Diverted to: such as paying for existing deficits, debts, unprofitable civil and public services, departments, Crown Corporations too, ineffective overheads, unrelated operating costs  in the provincial , municipal departments. Now since all that happens even before it hits the supposedly private sectors we need to address that too. Now next as to the supposedly private sectors and related projects expenditures , totally honest and fair governmental competition bids still tends not to exists. So no one can make me into a believer that this all of this taxpayer’s money will solely go all into a valid job creation program spurring on the general economy. The existing projects, capital expenditure safeguards are still just not totally there, not the related transparency, accountably as well.. even even you try to use an ex retired, RCMP officer as a supervisor in the contracts, purchasing department, for by now we all should now who immoral, untrustworthy even the RCMP now are too in fact. Some of the money will likely be used even out of the country for a selected few persons rather too.. Are many of the  civil servants, politicians still taking their holidays overseas at tax payers expenses? There are still much too many abusive and questionable expenses: All still Unacceptable too.

• A $64.2-million project to improve the Trans-Canada Highway in the Kootenay-Columbia riding of B.C. MP Jim Abbott.

• A new $1.5-million performing arts centre in the Burlington, Ont., riding of Mike Wallace.

• An investment of $20 million for a new recreational facility in the Regina-Lumsden-Lake Centre riding of Tom Lukiwski.

• The twinning of the final stretch of Route 1 in the New Brunswick Southwest riding of Greg Thompson for $137.5 million

Almost since my first job after graduating from university I had learned that people are not to be trusted, need to be supervised, and corruption still exists in construction, universities, municipalities, governments, corporations, amongst professionals and politicians as well.

Here still  is what I cannot understand about the federal job creation programs carried out under both the liberal and conservative governments, is the necessity it seems to give money firstly to the municipalities, as though they have a direct effect on voters.. Nothing can be farther from the truth for  neither the police themselves, nor the municipalities have a significant vote as to how the citizens will vote on election days. The only group  that can likely have any effect on the voters are pastors, and priests in fact.

Here is what I know for sure in Canada proper policing, management ,  supervision  human rights commissions are a real fact of life, society, in schools, life,  in churches, governments, commerce, institutions, civil and public services, professional services too,  and elsewhere, even on the net,  for you will always have those 30 percent at least of the persons who will try to cheat, lie  , steal, bend the rules, falsely believe they are above the laws, Self  regulation alone is too often pretentious, farcical, often not applied as well. That applies especially to the professionals, civil and public services, police, municipalities, politicians now as well..

Health, food safety, Recall and our well being.

The food-safety issue just won’t go away
The Gazette (Montreal) -  Last week’s poison-peanuts case reminds Canadians again that our food-safety system leaves a lot to be desired. Eight Americans died and hundreds more have been sickened in an outbreak of salmonella cases traced back to Peanut Corp.

Let me say it again and again that Self regulation is an unacceptable form of masturbation  rather too often. That applies to Professionals, importers, manufacturers, corporations, the police, civil and public servants.

Recently we have been reading, hearing about bad food, contaminated food. We were supposed to have a federal department looking after our welfare, food inspections, health matters, but we find out too often instead that it is another typical  back passing, pretentious department, that is willing to take their pay home but not willing to work for it. Now most of the problems that arise through food contamination are raised by the importers or manufacturers themselves and then a voluntary arrangement is usually made with the company to remove those goods from the marketplace and shelves. “This has not always been successful.” We need real, enforced regulations. All food processing plants should be required to have a safety plan and document their compliance. And  standards for imported foods must be upgraded. There’s also consensus that real inspections should be carried out according to common requirements meaning a food safety system  which the sets rules that all players in the food industry must comply with and one that is enforced.

OTTAWA—The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is not doing enough to make sure pests and diseases that destroy crops and trees stay out of the country, Auditor General Sheila Fraser said Thursday. In a  report, Auditor General Sheila Fraser raised alarms about backlogged inspections meant to prevent disease and infestations from invasive alien plants and pests. Canada’s agriculture and forestry sectors produce goods worth about $100 billion a year – industries that can be irreversibly damaged by pest infestations, Fraser said. Yet she found that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is facing a backlog of plant health risk assessments that would take a year to clear. The agency’s pest surveys focus on known invaders to the virtual exclusion of emerging threats, she said. “Our audit findings are serious. The agency needs to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the way it handles imports under its plant health program.”

While Stephen Harper does nothing good about it? President Barack Obama has ordered a comprehensive review of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as the investigation and peanut product recalls continue in the salmonella outbreak. “I think that the FDA has not been able to catch some of these things as quickly as I expect them to catch,” Obama said . “And so, we’re gonna be doing a complete review of FDA operations.” Obama said Americans should be able to count on the government to keep children safe when they eat peanut butter, and that includes his 7-year-old daughter, Sasha, the AP reported. “That’s what Sasha eats for lunch probably three times a week,” Obama said. “And you know, I don’t wanna have to worry about whether she’s gonna get sick as a consequence to having her lunch.” http://health.usnews.com/articles/health/healthday/2009/02/02/obama-orders-review-of-fda-in-salmonella-outbreak.html

Meanwhile, the recalls of peanut product continued to mount. As of Monday, more than 80 companies had issued recalls for everything from cookies, crackers, cereal and candy to ice cream, trail mix and dog treats .

We now know that inspectors from the Georgia Department of Agriculture repeatedly noted dirty food contact surfaces, mildew and metal shavings in food preparation areas. But the agency never closed the plant. The company ignored 12 positive test results in a two-year period showing the presence of salmonella. Instead of stopping production and thoroughly cleaning, Peanut Corp. continued to ship its products to market . The Food and Drug Administration hadn’t inspected the plant in eight years.

Since 2006, numerous large  outbreaks have occurred – everything from E. coli-tainted spinach to pet food contaminated with melamine, the ingredient that sickened so many Chinese infants when it showed up in infant formula, bakeed goods, cookies, chocolate bars.. In 2007, Veggie Booty, a fully processed snack for children, caused severe salmonella poisoning in dozens of toddlers. The same year, the FDA recalled canned products containing botulism toxin; state and federal officials went to corner stores all over the country to help remove products that could have caused severe paralysis and death. It was the first major recall for this deadly toxin in decades.  Last summer, Salmonella Saintpaul caused a massive outbreak that was traced first to tomatoes and then to hot peppers. Peanut butter caused another nationwide outbreak, affecting more than 600 people in 2007. While Agriculture Department-regulated meat and poultry plants are visited by a federal inspector every day, the FDA has no minimum inspection mandate. This results in infrequent inspection, averaging one inspection per plant every 10 years. Especially disturbing is how antiquated the penalties are against companies that knowingly violate their food safety responsibilities. There are no civil penalties, and the criminal penalties under the statute would expose Peanut Corp. of America officials to a modest fine of $1,000 per violation, and less than one year in jail. With eight people dead from peanut butter, this is hardly a fair punishment. And it provides little incentive for the industry to improve its food safety practices.

Real food safety  it’s an issue close to the heart and the kitchen table of every  citizen – an issue that  cannot be ignore..

In Canada, the recall of various peanut products has now grown to 120 items. Another 19 products were added to the recall list late Tuesday. Among them is Kawartha Dairy Heavenly Hash Ice Cream in 1.5 and 11.4-litre sizes. Also included are another 17 American products under Cinch, Detour, Oh Yeah!, Disney, Sinbad Sweets and no-name brands.

“It was filthy and nasty all around the place,” And a whistle blower hotline is needed because many of the employees often talked among themselves about the bad factory conditions, but   most workers did not complain to management because they wanted to keep their jobs.

TRANSPARENCY, HONESTY, ACCOUNTABILITY, A BETTER GOVERNMENT- JUST LIES

0skunked2

Budget office will be ‘crippled’ by cuts

Tories will cut funds by one-third after two critical reports. The Parliamentary Budget Office, source of two reports this year that have been critical of the government, is about to have its annual operating budget frozen, despite promises to boost it.

The Parliamentary Budget Office is a creation of the Conservative government through its Federal Accountability Act and is supposed to provide independent analysis of the government’s economic and fiscal position.

The first budget officer, Kevin Page, has published two major reports since starting his job in March, including one in early November that suggested Canada’s finances were about to go into deficit. At that time, Prime Minister Stephen Harper was insisting such a conclusion was premature.

But Page’s biggest clash has been with his bureaucratic boss, William Young, the parliamentary librarian. Young has insisted that since Page reports to him, Page ought to publish his work through the Library of Parliament. The Library of Parliament does not normally release the information or research it prepares for MPs. Page, on the other hand, believes that it is a fundamental part of his job to make his reports available to the public and to MPs.

This year, the Library of Parliament’s budget, to be allocated by Young, is about $40 million. Of that, just $1.9 million is set aside to operate the Parliamentary Budget Office.

Page’s budget next year was to increase to $2.6 million, money Page needs to hire more staff to respond to MPs’ requests for economic research. Canwest News Service has learned that Page’s budget has been frozen.

“That will cripple us,” said a source close to the budget office.

Officials with the government tried to distance themselves from the decision.

“The Government of Canada has no control over the budget of the PBO,” said a spokesman for Jay Hill, the Government House leader.

“All recognized political parties are represented on the board and their decisions are made by consensus and are confidential,” said Hill’s spokesman.

Neither Young nor Page returned telephone messages left Thursday.

Both of the major reports Page’s office has published could be seen to be critical of the government. Opposition parties relied heavily on both reports to attack the government.

“He knows his stuff. He’s got a good team. He’s not being partisan. He’s being honest,” said Liberal finance critic Scott Brison.

The first report, published in the middle of the election campaign, examined the costs of the Afghanistan mission. Page calculated that the full cost of the mission will be about $18.1 billion by 2011, but he said it was difficult to get an accurate accounting of that mission because the government was neither consistent nor transparent when it came to maintaining financial records.

In November, Page published his first major economic and fiscal assessment. It came out a few weeks before Finance Minister Jim Flaherty tabled his fiscal update that provoked the current political crisis in Ottawa. Among other things, the budget officer concluded that the federal government was, in all likelihood, heading for a deficit next year.

TRANSPARENCY, HONESTY, ACCOUNTABILITY, A BETTER GOVERNMENT ALL CLEARLY  WERE JUST MORE OF Stephen  Harper’s Conservative Pre-election lies to get elected.

MEANWHILE IN OTTAWA TOO - The federal ombudsman for victims of crime has belatedly put out his first annual report – as he nears the end of his second year in office. The glossy, 14-page booklet, quietly tabled Wednesday in the House of Commons, showed ombudsman Steve Sullivan and his staff fielded roughly 500 complaints from the public in fiscal 2007-08. But it offered little analysis of how the cases were handled and provided only a bare-bones summary of policy recommendations delivered to the ombudsman’s political masters – Justice Minister Rob Nicholson and Stockwell Day, who has since been replaced by Peter Van Loan as public safety minister.

“the Conservative government’s brilliant scheme to cut pollution by taking taxpayers for a ride is  another Conservative  making of trying to buy voters with their own bus fare too”..

Alberta to provide incentives for junior energy companies  More social welfare to the corporations -Stelmach’s royalty holiday just a dressed-up tax break.  “Now the Tories are about to throw a huge chunk of cash back at junior and mid-sized oil and gas companies. They don’t call it a royalty holiday, but that’s what it will be, masquerading as a tax break. The real target in this undefined program is the banks. The Tories are deeply annoyed with them, for good reason, because they’re charging smaller oil and gas explorers a huge premium on the Bank of Canada rate. The excuse the banks use, in this government version, is that companies aren’t showing enough cash flow. Giving the companies a tax (royalty?) break will increase cash flow. Therefore, the banks will lend money to drill new wells.”

I get a really big chuckles when I  see the Conservatives still giving social welfare to the Corporations, in fact these days I cannot tell the difference between the liberals or the conservatives.. So what is the real difference between  a bad Liberal and a bad Conservative these days?

and there is certainly a lot to be said for supporting Canadian industries in the country’s time of dire economic need… but in the  ”National Defence purchasing department, otherwise known as Cooked Contracts Canada.  There we find the Air Force brass diligently trying to create the appearance of a totally fair and open bidding process for $3.5 billion of new search-and-rescue aircraft. Indeed, while the government may have got away with passing out billion-dollar contracts at will during the boom times, the current economic crisis has increasingly desperate Canadian companies howling for a fair shake.”

Ottawa rewarding ridings represented by Conservative MPs,  An estimated 78 per cent of projects announced under the Building Canada Fund have gone to ridings represented by Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s ruling … is also unaccetpable..
by the way the “Conservatives still  just couldn’t resist a little gutter politics along the way. This week Casey stood in the House of Commons to speak out against party officials who lodged a complaint with the RCMP that he had stolen and/or embezzled party funds. The complaint was laid by Diana Read-Miedema, Bernard’s official agent in the campaign,  These are not allegations to be taken lightly when levied against any individual but against a man who spent his professional career as a broker in the financial services industry, they smack of an even deeper innuendo.  The RCMP did not find any evidence to justify charges and have dropped the matter. Casey says party officials knew he had returned the money involved — $30,000 in election funding — and that the complaint was nothing more than a smear against his character. He’s right, again. The Conservatives’ latest skirmish with Casey will surely end up doing more to help his reputation than to achieve their goal of tarnishing it. You’d think they would have learned by now.” bit is shows how dirty the Conservatives still rather are..

First we need still a full  review of the waste, fraud, and abuse that has plagued governmental. efforts. What is also needed is a program to remove public officials from office that take our money and spend it on their own false pet projects while many of our people still are not getting the help that they need.

Executive Salary caps

WASHINGTON — President Obama announced on Wednesday a salary cap of $500,000 for top executives at companies that receive the largest amounts of bailout money, calling the step an expression not only of fairness but of “basic common sense..  Americans definitely begrudge “executives being rewarded for failure,” especially if their earning are subsidized by taxpayers, “many of whom are having a tough time themselves,” he said.     Citigroup, Bank of America and the American International Group, General Motors and Chrysler were all facing acute problems. And top executives at those companies made far more than $500,000 in recent years.

Kenneth D. Lewis, the chief executive of Bank of America, took home more than $20 million in 2007. Of that, $5.75 million was in salary and bonuses.

Vikram S. Pandit, who became chief executive of Citigroup in December of 2007 and previously held other senior positions at the bank, made $3.1 million.

Rick Wagoner, the chief executive of General Motors, made $14.4 million, much of it in stock, options and other noncash benefits. He earned a $1.6 million salary. ”

I lost faith in Canada’s justice system long time ago

  0COINTOSS
 http://picasaweb.google.com/anonconformer/Thenonconformer#

The faith in the Canadian Justice system  must have rightfully gone out the windows long time ago after I had personally in Canada now also had encountered  the too many crooked evangelical pastors, too many crooked cops, too many crooked accountants, too many  lying lawyers and their bad regulating societies, too many no good, lazy immoral civil and public servants too. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/01/10/problem-civil-and-public-servants-are-depressed/

It really now was a false bliss to be ignorant, the first 25 years of my life was a very sheltered one, all hidden behind family, friends, school, university in Canada in fact.

My work place itself tended to be very tame, with exception of an occasional selfish, overly ambitious, rude manager or employee.. most people in the private sector tend to be busy working now not rather playing dirty politics, most but not all… some people wrongfully do still use the work place as a place to do their own thing, to play dirty politcs and do not try to  actually do their assigned work.

My first major rude awakening to the real world was to encounter in am evangelical  Church  an immoral, maniulating, self centered  evangelical pastor, which next became also the norm the next half a century as well, and this sudden revelation now next was also often confirmed by many others. It was also a shock for me to also see how anyone an be quickly kicked out of the so called evangelical Christian Churches in fact, for all they had to do is stop giving money to the church or let others know they do not go along with the bad pastors, bad elders, bad deacons.. Any financial dissension   is generally ground from immediate dismissal. The real sad thing is about 70 percent of the pastors are still crooked these days, (and yes likely the lawyers, barristers, politicians, cops now as well)  and they tend  tailor their services, church services too for the money givers.. they do use whatever means that will give them money next. It was a very sad discovery that most of the perverse, crookedness in life now still tends to be around one trying to get more money too, in society and the churches, after all they tend to be not much different.. where the poor persons are not anymore welcomed in many even in the churches too.. http://thenonconformer.yolasite.com/index/hireling

Too busy still employed, working I did not have the time to discover firsthand what the real world was like.. until I next became sick and unemployed.. now with plenty of free time I next encountered what the too often perverse cops rather are like, busy generating mostly unbeneficial but still money making, self promotional parking ,traffic tickets .. etc and it was a shock to see how the too often perverse judges in the courts falsely went along with it too.

My encounter next was with the too many crooked, perverse business persons, crooked accounts even, lying lawyers and bad politicians now too,, all of which  was also a big eye opener.  In Canada   the justice system is still mostly pretentious and incompetent, but  that is nothing now new,  the sadly reality of many of our public and civil servants, cops, RCMP, political, regulating societies now included… and you find out generally the hard way when you are necessitated to try to use their services.. and not before. They all  mostly are unwilling, and ill-equipped to monitor and enforce: illegal major criminal, abuses, activity, and yet they still do take our taxes and their pay all while lying they are mainly serving us all.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/

(Jer 5:31 KJV)  The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Known alcoholics on the job

The continual mismanagement, budget deficit, tax payer money abuses and has there been even any changes in all this really? We all  really still do need still a full  review of the waste, fraud, and abuse that has plagued governmental efforts. What is also needed is a enforced, real program to remove public officials from office that take our money and abuse it, spend it on their own false pet projects while many of our people still are not getting the help that they need. You also did notice the cops do too often still  not  practice what they preach to others they themselves still do like to speed, and how many like to drink and drive still too?

January 2004 was the start of my recent rash of my written correspondences mainly on the unacceptable  tax payers money abuses, injustices at the federal, provincial municipal levels too, as well, and it all  has specifically initially started because I had strongly, rightfully objected to anyone in the province of BC being kicked of social welfare, even if they are alcoholics, drug users… I still do rightfully and loudly  object to anyone being kicked of social welfare even in BC or elsewhere and this is still never acceptable. They all Civil and public servants, politicians, need to be regularly supervised too. That is why we need and have the auditors, News media, Opposition parties, concerned citizens to do this too.. and it still generally is not enough as we can see.

TWO OF MY PAST NEIGHBORS, MANAGERS,  WHO WORKED FOR CITY HALL OPENLY BOASTED TO ME, AND DEMONSTRATED TO ME FOR YEARS THE COMMON CORRUPTION IN THE LOCAL CITY HALL, DONE BY THEM AND MANY OF THEIR COLLEAGUES. This included their unnecessary out of town trips, their taking stuff, computer accessories,  home from the office for their own personal use, boasted of  their lavish expense accounts, of their doing personal work at the office, and much more. Why did they think that me a tax payer would approve any of such wrong doings was their error. I reported their wrong doings rightfully rather. OTHER MANAGERS OF CROWN CORORATIONS HAD ALSO OFTEN BOASTED TO ME OF THEM DOING SIMILAR THEFTS  AS WELL..

Now we had elected the new Conservatives , a new government and a leader that was supposed to be much better, different from all the so called past bad governments. A government that would be reliable, , it will be open, transparent, accountable, better managed, honest, and it would keep it’s pre-election  promises,  would not lie to us too, And next was that so in reality? NO!!! Unacceptable

The fish stinks from the head but many cut the tail of first..  Reducing, cutting of the programs to the poor and needy persons for  that seems how the governments wrongfully still do wrongfully  respond to budget cut backs,  defecits, and to the poor and needy people too now, rather than dealing still firstly with the major crooks, tax payer’s money abusers too in the government and elsewhere…
Patrick Brazeau must have thought he had hit the jackpot last December when Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed him to the Senate. The young native leader (he is just 34) could conceivably draw a Senate salary (currently $130,000) for four decades. But with the appointment came a raft of unwanted publicity, including stories about: a charge of sexual harassment against him; questionable expense claims by the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, of which he was national chief; drinking in the office; his flashy lifestyle, including a Porsche SUV; and, this week, his occasional failure to make child-support payments. In his first Senate speech this week, Brazeau said the media stories prove he has “powerful enemies” in the “native establishment.” Maybe so. Still, one wonders whether Brazeau was the most exemplary native leader Harper could have named to the Senate. Perhaps Harper was impressed by the fact that Brazeau is a card-carrying Conservative and sided with the government against the “native establishment” in the trashing of the 2005 Kelowna accord. It would not be the first time that Harper allowed partisanship to cloud his judgment. Nor is it likely to be the last.   http://www.thestar.com/comment/article/586178

How many people in reality even in the civil, public services governments now  have been arrested all together  for tax evasions and tax payers money abuse now last year? How many? Anyone care to answer the question?

And speaking of the related  federal review as well, who are the high spenders last year in the federal government.. who ate at the best restaurants, traveled the most at the tax payers restaurants.. who were the drunks now too..  Politicians, and civil and public servants now included too..  (Luke 6:43 KJV)  For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Even in our governments, history tends to repeat itself, including thefts, waste and mismanagement, deficits, and they tend not to rather get better and why?

There are also plenty of places to try to save the tax payer’s money but starting to save the tax payer’s money at the expense of the poor people and their welfare programs is not the best  way to do this, not at all the way to do it!   The governments firstly should though clearly manage better it’s civil and public servants.. and the capital expenditures. Why? Well I do also know from real  experiences that it is also the services to the poor and needy persons, those who can afford it the least, that are wrongfully cut to make up for the past budget mismanagement by Ministers, managers of the civil and public servants too in Canada’s Provinces, Municipalities too. Rather than cutting back on the governmental aid, programs to  the poor and needy persons even next  because of the government’s own unacceptable past mismanagement we all do now too need to really take another continual look at how effective our tax dollars are always all of being used by the civil and public servants, and their managers, politicians now too. Cutting back on the Corporate welfare also is what the government still does also needs to deal with and not cutting firstly the Social welfare. The Corporations got what Billions  in social welfare from the tax payers? and we do not have money for the poor people? or for proper medical care, or for proper Justice, police, consumer protection  too? It never surprises me anymore when the superiors, Managers even  at City hall as well can also still  find money for new furniture, more staff, larger personal expense accounts but cannot find  the money to help the ordinary, poor and needy people during the good and bad times now too. Unacceptable.

The past “Sponsorship manager suffered from alcoholism, inquiry told   Jim Brown Canadian Press   October 19, 2004   OTTAWA — The role of a key player in the federal sponsorship program has been called into question with the disclosure that he suffered from alcoholism.  Pierre Tremblay served as chief of staff to former public works minister Alfonso Gagliano in the early years of the program. He later moved to the civil service where he took charge of bureaucratic operations related to sponsorship projects.  But colleague Isabelle Roy confirmed at a public inquiry Tuesday that, through it all, Tremblay had a serious drinking problem and often couldn’t function after lunch. ” and how many more are there unacceptably like him still, alcoholics  in the government, MP’s Cabinet Ministers, managers, civil and public servants too?

By now you too should have found out too the New Conservatives are mostly just as disgusting as the bad Liberals they had replaced..

How many times have we now experienced he fact that the selected leaders, cabinet was not like what they had promised they would be, certainly now not like we had expected them rightfully to be as well? Clearly many many  Canadians are still often now really angry at, or disappointed with   the results of the various governments acts,    the selected candidates,  but  now when will we all deal with the root  issue that is the cause of the problems firstly and it is the immoral type of candidates being firstly nominated?  the liars and alcoholics mostly it seems.. and these type of brain damaged people will never do us much good even now as well.

We all need to care about the unemployed and the poor people, Elected officials now included. It also  seems even  the governments and it’s managers are too often rather still just for sale to the highest bidder… and it doesn’t care who they are involved with or what they are up to or what it looks like as long as they are rewarding themselves or  their friends, and thus they wrongfully and too tend  not too  really look after all of the good ordinary citizens welfare..  this is still never acceptable. They all Civil and public servants, politicians, need to be regularly supervised too. That is why we need and have the auditors, News media, Opposition parties, concerned citizens to do this too.. and it still generally is not enough as we can see.

The fish stinks from the head but many cut the tail of first..  That seems how the governments wrongfully does  respond to money and the poor people too now rather than firstly with the major crooks, the real tax abusers too..

“ Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.(Galatians 2:10 KJV)  ”

It should be very clear to the honest New Testament Bible scholars that the Church of the New Testament was seriously concerned about the poor persons in their midst and helped them, and so should we all as well today.,, but many Evangelical churches in Canada wrongfully also still do not..

Making all of the poor people, social welfare recipients, those who can afford it the least, to pay for the sins of others is an immoral and  criminal act still.

Furthermore here are thee, 3 things I know for sure in Canada the last 35 years

- It is not the poor people who have  mismanaged the majority of the tax payer’s money… but they do pay for it the most, those who can afford it the least

- if the public and civil servants had better managed the tax payer’s money there still would not  have been likely more money for the poor people cause the rich people would still try to steal it for themselves. I have met even covetous, greedy middle class and rich persons now too.

Thirdly  if all persons paid their taxes, and did not commit tax evasions, an ongoing major unacceptable sin that still do needs to be prosecuted there would be plenty of money for the poor people  assuming it could get to them without being stolen, intercepted again.

Even in my local evangelical church the pastor is also now was wrongfully  being  paid too an astronomical price for his poor services, his poor neglect of the poor people too, and I rightfully also do not agree with this  and say so as well. Jesus himself and the Apostles did not have a fixed salary nor a high paying one

(Isa 10:1 KJV)  Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; 2  To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! 3  And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 4  Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

(Mat 7:3 KJV)  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

“It’s hard to imagine how such a thoroughly damaged resumé could’ve survived the supposedly ruthless scrutiny of the Prime Minister’s Office, particularly when the job is a 40-year guaranteed Senate gig with an annual salary of $130,000 plus perks. But the allegations, investigations and accusations against newly-appointed aboriginal Senator Patrick Brazeau, 34, are piling up in such a frenzy that it’s quickly put the unelected Senate under a negative light, and must surely embarrass Canada’s other six native senatorial representatives.

Consider the growing list of Brazeau indiscretions conveniently overlooked by the PMO, but unearthed by reporters in fairly short order.

Brazeau had to be arm-twisted to give up his six-figure job as chief of the Congress of Aboriginal People, lest it be seen as double-dipping on the taxpayers’ tab.

That Conservative-cheerleading organization is still under investigation by Health Canada for its use or misuse of $260,000 in public funds including $16,050 in suspect payments to Brazeau or his sidekicks.

The man described in his bio as a loving father of three is darn close to qualifying to be a deadbeat dad with the mother of one offspring telling CTV that Brazeau hasn’t seen or properly supported his 14-year-old son in eight years.

Brazeau’s been seen tooling around Parliament Hill in a new Porsche SUV, has hired Ottawa staff who were reportedly hitting the sauce hard during work hours at his former congress job and is still fending off refuted allegations of sexual harassment at a human rights tribunal.

If this is the calibre of individual Stephen Harper had in mind when he set out to reform the Senate, well, it’s enough to make you yearn for those days when they filled the place with backroom bagmen.

It’s clear that Patrick Brazeau should’ve been kept a senator-in-waiting a bit longer to clear his name — or save taxpayers from a bad appointment. “

Now add to the known fact as revealed by the news reporters too that the newly hired 2 subordinates and Brazeau himself are known alcoholics on the job, who often drank alcohol  at lunch time. No politicians, senator, civil and public servants  should even be allowed to consume alcohol during normal working hours, especially at anytime at taxpayer’s expense too. Brazeau he said he brought in a policy of no alcohol on the premises after a complaint that some Congress officials had been drinking in the office. Try no alcohol period even lunch time…  Brazeau also had indicated after his Senate appointment that he wanted to remain national chief of the Congress while sitting in Parliament, in effect collecting two six-figure salaries.  He later relented and stepped down from the chief’s post, acknowledging there could be a “perceived conflict of interest” if he kept that job while serving in the Senate.

Drinking alcohol cause permanent brain damage, it also causes a significant deterioration of one’s mental capabilities, deterioration of one’s inter personal relationship skills, it also causes more car accidents than speeding or not having adequate winter tires, it also reduces significantly one’s work productivity as well undeniably too.  So  tell us all now:
- How much money did the Prime Minister, the Premiers themselves now spend on Alcoholic consumption entertainment last year,
- How Much money did the federal, provincial cabinet ministers now spend on Alcoholic consumption entertainment last year
- How much money did the civil and public servants now spend on Alcoholic consumption entertainment last year

Thanks for your email, as I can’t answer for all the rest I can tell you that I have spent not one penny of the publics money on alcohol.

AND WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THEM?

I trust you all can readily supply us all with the answers.

PS: As you also know the foundling pastors of the Calgary Alberta Bible Church Rev Aberhardt included had left their founding Christian church to go into politics and next  the same Calgary Bible church  mostly died, and a plaque at the Calgary Eaton’s center testifies to this too. The goal of Pastors becoming successful  in politics  was the great initiative, incentive for the many of next Alberta evangelical pastors to repeat this. Thus now  we continue to have  the professing Christian Evangelicals Stephen Harper, Stockwell day, Preston Manning who  are clearly also really all three hirelings that had now gone into   politics as well.  It is clear that Preston Manning, Stockwell Day, and even Stephen Harper, who do now also clearly do follow the false doctrine of the old testament Baalim, (  the Baalim was represented as false pagan gods , and the cult associated with idolatry.) for they to me still, all three  really,  are now evidentiary prostitutes, hirelings, false prophets who wrongfully are encouraging and also abusing many of the very ignorant Christians to rebel against the established positive government management principles  rather solely for their own leadership, political personal gains.. and none of these persons for me are really Christians.. they all three, the tree stooges, they are also false Christians clearly like Paul Martin and Jean Chretien were as well, who had also unacceptably lied to us all too when they said they were real Christians.

This 2009 federal budget by Stephen Harper does a huge disservice to Canadians, conservative and otherwise, who will now be saddled with massive deficits and an ineffective “stimulus” plan based not on sound economics but pork-barrel politics. http://www.nationalpost.com/opinion/story.html?id=1246059

Over on the Conservative side, the presentation of a survival budget written in red ink prompts diehard Conservatives to reminisce about the so-called golden days of the Reform/Canadian Alliance. Some of them even compare their government to a horse that can no longer run and suggest it should be summarily shot.   http://www.thestar.com/News/Canada/article/581978

“You’re travelling through a Canadian political dimension, a dimension of minority governments and cynical ambitions, a dimension where Stephen Harper, a one-time socialism-hating conservative ideologue transforms himself into a free-spending, deficit-creating, big-government-loving Liberal.”

Canadian conservatives should not be too surprised by Harper’s spend-happy budget. After all, the Harper Tories sold their ideological soul a long time ago. In fact, they never were a truly conservative party. http://www2.canada.com/montrealgazette/features/viewpoints/story.html?id=60fe5fd6-9f0e-49b3-804d-0b8f0d9788e9
BC courts are just as tough, Opal says Globe and Mail - VICTORIA – Following a spate of gang- or drug-related shootings in the last week, Attorney General Wally Opal released a report Monday intended to show BC’s courts aren’t to blame for violent crime.
Hey I have said it before, the RCMP doing their best is not enough.. it would help matters seriously if the mostly white  pretentious RCMP spoke another language other then English.. the PR oriented RCMP too is always asking the public for help in doing their own paid jobs.

Mike Zafirovski,  Chief Executive of the near Bankrupt BELL’S Nortel Networks Corp (NT.TO) NT.N,  has racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of personal travel on company jet since joining the company in 2005.  And   who    else?

It seems that 70 percent of the adults drink alcohol in Canada too but 100  percent of them claim to be non alcoholics? civil and public servants included, and where do all of the many drunk  drivers, alcoholics  come from now too? For the civil and public servants all you have to do is look at their expenses accounts, see how much they charged us for booze and that will quickly show us all whether they really are alcoholics or not for a start.  Few alcoholics will admit they are alcoholics just as few persons will admit they practice tax evasion as well. Drunk drivers still cause most of the car accidents but the police prefer to go after speeding tickets, it is easier to to get the speeders.. and very profitable, sadly it also ties up our courts with the mostly unnecessary cases too. If you drink 2 martinis at lunch time or supper time  for a start  you are definitely an alcoholic.. and you should be immiedately fired from your job, even if you are an MP, Senator, or an MPP, MLA, a cop , civil and public servant. So rightfully do Fire all the drunks, alcoholics, tax payer money abusers in the government firstly too. Seriously in the selection of the new   political candidates for federal and provincial elections, and senator snow  it would be nice also if each of the political party does also asks their people how often do they visit the bars and drink? how many martini’s they do have at lunch time?  do they eat at very expensive restaurants too? do they entertain their friends on their companies, departmental  expense accounts? or  have they ever padded, falsified their own  expenses accounts” all  too just for a start.. and do they lie to others too often too? Many elected persons still do it seems and they will even give themselves next a big raise..

Canada’s 2009 Federal Budget approved

Many Albertans are not happy with it.. Many federal relief dollars fail to reach their intended targets

click on the thumbnail to see full size cartoon

Politicians say give them what they want, after all they will pay for it.

So what is the real difference between  a Liberal and a Conservative these days?

who drinks more booze or  who lies more?

Conservatives abandon election promises with new budget

This fderal budget does a huge disservice to Canadians, conservative and otherwise, who will now be saddled with massive deficits and an ineffective “stimulus” plan based not on sound economics but pork-barrel politics.  The federal budget is poised to win approval in principle Tuesday despite mounting anxiety among Liberals about propping up Stephen Harper’s minority Conservative government. Ignatieff said the Liberals had no intention of withdrawing support for the budget, despite a growing backlash within their ranks. The Harper government’s budget will not only create the first massive deficit in a dozen years but may set the stage for Ottawa to spill red ink for a decade or more, a new analysis suggests. And given that the budget makes no provision for a more severe recession or a more modest recovery, a second slump, or any additional government spending or tax cuts for the next half-decade,  it’s reasonable to expect Ottawa could remain in deficit beyond 2020. Ottawa may be creating a structural deficit that will last even after the economy recovers. In the three years in office, the Conservatives have exceed the budget spending target in each year. From a conservative perspective, the current Canadian budget offers the worst of all worlds: negligible tax reductions, tremendous spending hikes and massive deficits. It is a recipe for economic misery, as far removed from the conservative worldview as possible. They might do some symbolic things to make the base happy, on crime or culture perhaps, but for all intents and purposes, this is no longer a conservative government

Many Albertans realizing Mr. Harper has already had three electoral kicks at the can, Conservatives are starting to contemplate alternatives. Useless Jim Prentice, Peter MacKay, Jason Kenney, Rob Nicholson,   are the names most frequently mentioned. There is also a former leader of the federal Tories who is still at large in Quebec. His name is Jean Charest. But is he interested? No.

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090202/national/fedbudget_economy

Newfoundland MPs said they believe their leader and colleagues understand the intense pressure they’re under to oppose the budget from the province’s popular premier, Danny Williams.   says the change reduces related payments under the 1985 Atlantic Accord, which determines the province’s share of offshore oil revenues. He says Newfoundland will lose $1.5 billion in offset payments and another $80 million in health care transfers. the province has been unfairly penalized, unlike Nova Scotia and Manitoba for whom the federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, has agreed to cushion the blow from the equalization changes. Liberal MPs Scott Andrews, Siobhan Coady, Judy Foote and Scott Simms said they’ll break party ranks and vote against the budget on Tuesday if the document isn’t changed. The Liberals are limp-along losers with a $6-million total that barely beats the New Democrats. No public cash, no national Liberal party and no way to fight an election anytime soon. The priority preoccupation with money by the main political parties is clear from their internal staffing. More than half the Liberal party’s listed 50 employees are devoted to financial pursuits.

The Conservatives apparently have a similar percentage of their 50-odd staff fixated on chasing money, but the party’s communications director refused to disclose those details about the publicly-financed party.

Not just in Canada now there is increasing evidence even in the US, elsewhere that states like California and Michigan,   are running huge budget deficits, do need federal aid to keep their essential and non essential services operating. They would plummet an already battered federal budget billions of dollars further into a non positive deficit.  We all do need to face the negative  fact of what our own political, corporate leaders are doing this to our country too. Still it  all  also does  mean that no one can predict beforehand with certainty  which industries and municipalities will get the needed designated federal capital.

Also the too common  practice of  putting many local workers out of work or paying them less wages by sending the higher paying jobs offshore has a devastating impact on the rest of the World, not to mention the local economy. We also still do need to have the True Unemployment Numbers.

What is also needed is a program to remove public officials from office that take our money and spend it on their pet projects while many of our people still are not getting the help that they need.

” At last count, there were at least 785 criminal cases under investigation by the Hurricane Katrina Task Force, a joint effort of 19 federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Postal Service, the Defense Department and even the Environmental Protection Agency. State prosecutors in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas are similarly swamped. And scores more cases wait in the wings.”

The federal budget is an “all-out assault” on Newfoundland and Labrador and an attempt to punish Premier Danny Williams, which is why six Liberal MPs from the province voted against it, says Liberal MP Gerry Byrne. Byrne, the MP for Humber-St. Barbe-Baie Verte, and five of his provincial colleagues voted against the Conservative budget Tuesday, charging that it robs the province of about $1.6 billion in federal funding. Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff said Tuesday he would grant the MPs a “one-time vote of protest” to express their displeasure with the document.  The budget passed by a vote of 211 to 91.

it is about time

A new law that takes effect today in the province of British Columbia, Canada that now will find convicted impaired drivers breathing into a tube if they want to start their vehicle after serving a mandatory driving ban. The law will force installation of a 15-hundred-dollar breath-sampling device and ignition interlock on vehicles for at least year with the impaired driver bearing the cost. The devices will be required for anyone completing an impaired-driving prohibition, including two 90-day bans or three 24-hour roadside suspensions within a five-year period. The government says research shows the breath-test devices sharply cut the rate of repeat drunk-driving offences. For some reasons BC seems to leads the nation in drug usage and impaired driving, Alcoholism now too.. Now if they would also apply this law to the RCMP itself .

Top Ten Excuses For Drinking & Driving

1 “I can handle my liquor”

- According to police, this one typically applies to the “macho” variety of men who feel their exaggerated sense of manliness enables them to overcome the effects of alcohol. Trouble is, there’s no physiological evidence to support that claim – alcohol is a drug, and if you drink it, your mind and body will immediately feel the effects. Drink too much, and you will be impaired – no matter how big, tough or macho you think you are.

2. “I don’t want to pay for a taxi”

- Depending on the distance travelled, you could indeed face a significant cost to get home in a taxi. But compared to the cost of losing your licence, injuring or killing someone, it’s a small amount to pay for a safe ride home. Other options if your celebrations involve alcohol: share a cab, take transit, walk or assign a designated driver. Whatever the option you take, you need to plan ahead. Ask a friend, co-worker or your partner to stay sober, or make arrangements beforehand to have someone come get you after the party ends. Alternatively, stay at a hotel or friend’s house where the celebration is taking place.

3.“Leaving my car overnight is a hassle”

- Going back to the bar or party location the next day to retrieve your vehicle can indeed be a burden but having your car impounded at a police roadcheck is an even bigger hassle. If you’re concerned about leaving your vehicle behind, call Operation Red Nose – a volunteer-driven service to get you and your car home safely. Visit www.rednose.bc.ca for more information.

4. “I always make it home after a few”

- Each year in British Columbia, approximately 120 people don’t make it home due to alcohol-related collisions. The drivers who survive those collisions often tell police afterwards that they had very little to drink and really didn’t think they were impaired, despite the fact their blood-alcohol levels were well over the legal limit. Impairment begins with the first drink. And the risk of crashing and killing yourself and others increases with each alcoholic drink consumed.

5.“It’s only a short drive home”

- If that’s the case, your taxi fare will be minimal. Remember: CounterAttack roadchecks are often set-up outside drinking establishments – so no matter how close to home you may be, you might still encounter a friendly, neighbourhood roadcheck.

6.“I’m OK to drive”

- Are you really? Alcohol affects your judgment. How many people over the course of human history have learned that the hard way? And how many lives have been lost or permanently damaged through the bad judgment of drunk drivers? It’s simple – if you drink, don’t drive.

7.“One more drink won’t hurt”

- Wrong. Every drink you consume adds to your level of impairment. The “just one more” mentality can often lead to many more, as people get caught up in the spirit of celebration.

8.“They only take your licence if you’re drunk”

- Imagine for a moment that every person at a sold-out Canucks game has their licence suspended and their car impounded. Then imagine that same arena filled to capacity for another game – and once again, every person in the building has their licence suspended and their car impounded. That’s the approximate number (more than 38,000) of drivers each year in British Columbia who are caught by police when their ability to drive is affected by alcohol or drugs. Like the sign says at GM Place: “If you drink, don’t drive.”

9.“I’m more careful after a couple”

- That’s like saying you’re more intelligent after sniffing glue. It makes no sense. Alcohol affects your reaction time, decision-making, coordination and visual functions; your ability to steer, track moving objects and brake appropriately; and your ability to control your speed and lane position. The more you drink, the worse you drive.

10.“I wasn’t drinking/only smoked a joint”

- Another urban myth that has no bearing in reality. Numerous studies have shown that “stoned” drivers who have taken drugs other than alcohol including cannabis, cocaine and even prescription drugs can be every bit as dangerous as drunk drivers. And new legislation now allows police to test drivers they suspect may be drug-impaired; if convicted, they face the same penalties as alcohol-impaired drivers.

What’s Going To Be Your Excuse? Impaired drivers can face a range of penalties, including immediate
24-hour roadside suspensions and vehicle impoundment, 90-day driving prohibitions, fines, mandatory rehabilitation, ignition interlock, criminal charges and jail time. With the introduction of ICBC’s Driver Risk Premium, drivers who have one or more impaired driving convictions and/or two or more roadside suspensions will pay more for their insurance.

So don’t make any excuses . Remember that impairment starts with the first drink, so plan ahead for a safe ride home.

Canadian Women’s rights

see also  http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2009/11/16/men-and-women-are-equal-in-the-law/

Men and women are equal before the law. Women have the right to be paid the same as men when they do work of equal value. And when they aren’t paid the same, women have the right to use the courts to get pay equity.   Harper says the present system of using the courts for pay equity is “long and costly” and is based on “complaints” and “confrontation” and he wants to “modernize” it by wiping out the right of women to use the courts to get pay equity.   If Harper gets his way, pay equity will be settled at the bargaining table, not in the courts.  But what about women who don’t have a union?  Too bad! That happens to be a majority of the 41% of Canadian women who work outside the home. http://www.cornwallseawaynews.com/article-298389-Harpers-war-on-women.html

and here is what also really grabs me too..

Now I know already that many evangelicals have a perverted view of the Bible’s women’s rights but I would expected better form from the so called liberals in this matter at least, but it seems that for political expediency the Liberals falsely will let Stephen Harper and the Conservatives  get away with it here too, the pathetic, sad Liberals they will let it wrongfully all happen still too now, as they all even have with so many other bad things now too, such as shortcomings in the health care system,  inadequate consumer protection included, police inadequacies, etc… and the cost of living for a woman is the same as for a man in reality too…

OTTAWA – Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff says equal pay for work of equal value is a basic human right that should never be put up for grabs at the collective bargaining table.  To that end, he has introduced a private member’s bill aimed at reversing a controversial measure in the 2009 federal budget.  The budget essentially reclassified pay equity as a labour issue to be negotiated in collective agreements, stripping the Canadian Human Rights Commission of its authority to adjudicate pay equity complaints.  Ignatieff’s proposal – his first private member’s bill since becoming an MP in 2006 – would return pay equity to the human rights realm.  It would also create a federal pay-equity commission charged with implementing an equal-pay regime in the federal public service, federally regulated companies and Crown corporations by 2012.  Ignatieff acknowledges his bill would result in some additional, unspecified costs for the government but he thinks the principle is “definitely worth it.”  Ignatieff says pay equity is really about gender equality, noting that women, on average, still earn only 72 cents for every dollar earned by men for the same work.  He says he chose the issue for his first bill because it’s emblematic of the Liberal party’s core belief in equal opportunity for all. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/091209/national/ignatieff_pay_equity
